so the idea is Nightstar does get his lives but without starclan's approval by being given them by cats eather outside the clans who were also effected by Brokenstar and by starclan cats who decided starclan's rule was stupid curently the only cats i could think of giving him is lives are BadgerFang HopeKit WishKit and the two kits brokenstar killed before exileing Yellowfang

what do you think bout this au idea?

This is real tbh... to say that there weren't cats entirely willingly to give Nightstar his lives regardless of Brokestar being alive makes no sense. And I really don't buy that Starclan wasn't "able" to give him lives, yall got like a million cats up there and all of them are useless when it matters apparently.. sighhhh

But Nightstar getting his lives from Brokenstar's victims is very smart and good!

badgerfang & my headcanon for the cat who killed him, thrushwing. she was a windclan cat who became a warrior the night of the battle where brokenstar drove out windclan. her brother was killed in said battle and, in my “au”, she was so overtaken by rage that she attacked any shadowclan cat she could find. badgerfang unfortunately became the brunt of her anger. after she realized what she had done, she was plagued by guilt and spent the rest of whatever life she lived desperately wondering if she’d still get to go to starclan, or if she’d be condemned to the dark forest.

If we're allowed to ask about later arcs, how will the OOTS battle go down? You've mentioned Brackenstar, so i presume Firestar still dies, but what else happens?

Ah, The Great Battle. It's the biggest moment in Clan History since basically forever, every force, ally, and enemy of the clans clash together in a bloodbath. It's a major trauma for the clans that they never truly recover from, and that affects their very way of life afterwards.

But thats the poetic description, when it happened, it was chaos. The clans were tipped off by the Dark Forest recruits that backed out about the incoming attack, but nobody could've prepared for the hell that followed.

The Clan cats prepared themselves in their camps, reinforced to the teeth, with every kit and elder safely in hiding. They couldn't risk hiding them in another camp, so they could only pray. They had no specific date to wait for, but while they waited, the clans stockpiled on prey, burying it like they would in a harsh leafbare. The healers met up frequently to share much needed herbs, as the mystics begged Starclan for help.

They were so prepared that by the time The Dark Forest struck, they were ready. Slinking out of rivers, shadows, trees, anywhere they could pull themselves from the depths of, the ghostly cats came running, quickly backed by the recruits that still supported them, who had taken camp outside of all the territories. The first couple minutes weren't bad, the clans were holding their own, until more appeared, then more, then more. The Dark Forest had not only recruited living cats, but put a hole through the barrier between the Dark Forest and the Ghost Plane, the place where non-clan cats go when they die. Most weren't kittypets, the majority were rogues, but the kittypets that did fight were just as vicious.

Quickly, the clans were overrun. Getting a killing blow on these dead cats was hard enough, made only harder when they kept jumping back and forth between shadows. Despite the chaos, the sky was clear, and the blood of both living and dead was everywhere.

Suddenly, the sun was blotted out. Every cat in the territories froze as an eclipse filled the sky, in two clans, the fighting continued, though all were unsettled. In Thunderclan and Windclan, however, two groups appeared. Sol and Darktail, backed by their own rogue groups, came down on their despised clans with a vengeance. Darktail hadn't been abandoned in this AU, but his kittypet roots had soured his clan to him, and he had been pulled into the Dark Forest far, far too young, and in turn, he had pulled the other Windclan trainees in as well. And so, in the moons before the Dark Forest attack, he grouped up with his 'close ally' Sol, and pulled together a rogue group to tear down the clans in an ambush. Sol didn't originally intend to destroy the clans, but the events of Power Of Three made him more willing towards Darktail's plan.

And so, the clans were even further overrun. The living were starting to retreat, some muttering prayers to Starclan, when the clouds rolled in, not blotting out the eclipse, but thundering alongside it. The sky glowed as dozens upon dozens of Starclan cats raced down, claws out and yelling a battle cry that shook the very sky, sending lightning and thunder down upon the land. There had always been more Starclan than Dark Forest, and even with the ambush and extra dead rogues, they were no match for the numbers of Starclan.

Even then, the battle was hard, but righteous. Kits long dead blocked the entrance of nurseries, half faded elders fought side by side with their distant descendants, and, of course, past leaders flung themselves furiously at the cats who dared attack their clan. In Shadowclan, a group of cats both living and dead, led by Flintflang and Deerstep, tore Brokenstar apart while chanting the names of those he killed, as Badgerfang kept the living kittens quiet and hidden, despite his shaking paws.

The clans were winning, one paw strike at a time, but it was a struggle, for every Dark Forest cat killed, a Starclan cat was. For every Rainfloweer was a Spottedleaf, every Frecklewish was a Featherwhisker, and the living were beginning to drop from injury and blood loss too. They were winning the fight, but the war was still raging.

and then, an even bigger surprise occured. Midnight, leading the tribe cats and the mercats, came storming in, along with their ancestors. The Dark Forest were definitely outnumbered now, and started fleeing as The Six's powers were fully awakened by the prescence of their original spirits, massively faded but still there. The bloodbath turned to the side of the good, but there was still tragedy to come.

The thunder and lightning continued, as did the eclipse, as fire spread in all territories, setting a blazing background for the leaders and their fighting. Onestar chased Darktail down to the lake as the tom tried to escape, Mistystar fought against Mapleshade with the fury of the Applekin before her, Blackstar pinned one of Brokenstar's old loyalists on their back, and Firestar fought tooth and claw against Tigerstar, using every trick he had learnt in the time since their last match. The smoke was thick in the air as the remaining Dark Forest cats fled, leaving only the most stubborn, or stupid.

A tree was struck and fell between the two thunderclan cats, but Firestar nimbly jumped it, and with one last attack, Tigerstar vanished into nothingness, leaving only a smudge of dark, tar-like blood where he had stood moments before. They had no time to celebrate, however, as the camp continued to crackle and burn. But, while coated in the blood of himself and his clanmates, Firestar knew Starclan was sending rain, as the first drops hit his fur and the eclipse cleared. It was too late for him, he knew that, and he dropped to the floor as his clan gathered around him, old and young, living and dead. His spirit rose from his body, nuzzled goodbye with Sandstorm, and disappeared into the sky, the rest of the dead following.

As Thunderclan mourned their leader, Crowfeather desperately leaped into the lake to save Onestar, only to come up empty pawed and soaked through. Their leader, too, was gone. As was Shadowclan's, having tried to race to Windclan through the tunnels as aid, but getting caught by the flooding caused by the storm that broke only minutes later. Mistystar, thank the stars, was alive, but badly injured.

With three of four leaders left, the territories destroyed, and over a dozen cats dead, the clans entered their new era. Brackenfur- now to be star- prayed this would be a better one, but we all know how fate isn't a fan of the clans.

And so, came Arc 4 and a half. Or, as i call it, The New Prophecy (Propheciless Edition), actual name still pending.

newsies warrior cats. im insane

i'm bored and tired so i'm going to type up every single bit of world building and concepts i have for the newsies warrior cats au ive been creating so far. why have i talked more about newsies on here than like half of my interests. ive watched this once. anyway The strike is replaced with an apprentices rebellion, which means that all of the newsies are apprentices across all five clans (so they're at the lake territories at this time. This is key to the plot with WindClan) But anyway, around this time, the clans are facing a severe lack of food due to a drought, as well just general difficulties. Because of this, the warrior code is officially amended so that apprentice's eat last- and that anyone who isn't an apprentice gets to eat until full. This means that essentially the apprentices are starving, and so the adult cats have enough, leaders across the clans are being slow to promote apprentices to warriors, and appointing kits to be apprentices earlier than they should. As a result of mass starvation and illness amongst apprentices, a rebellion breaks out, starting in ThunderClan (taking the place of Manhattan newsies). The rebellion initially consists primarily of non-violent actions such as refusing to do any apprentice chores, and taking enough prey to feed the apprentices. In protest for the fact that no apprentices are becoming warriors anyone involved in the rebellion choses their own warrior name to go by. There is some escalation to violent action as more clans get involved, the warriors in the clans try and bring the apprentices back to the clan by force etc etc. The other clan cats begin to use an abandoned twoleg house as a sort of prison for some cats. Just a detail so I have somewhere for Crutchie to go that makes sense. Now, journalists. The journalists are replaced as a concept by medicine cats, a young medicine cat apprentice (taking the role of Katherine) gets a sign from StarClan that the change to the code is wrong, and all of the plot with the medicine cats is focused around her trying to get her sign listened to, and she's somewhat helped in interpreting signs by her mentor (Byran Denton. im merging the versions), but eventually gets her sign from StarClan noticed by the clans on her own merit. WindClan is the Brooklyn newsies, I don't care enough to assign any other borough to specific clans other than WindClan being brooklyn purely because theyre small. and spots small. so spots in WindClan. I considered placing Brooklyn as ShadowClan for the intimidation factor but I really hate the whole ShadowClan is intimidating thing so I'm just pretending that's not real. Also WindClan apprentices are mainly girls bc I'm bringing the brooklyn girls into this Scabbing from the strike is replaced by Jack, ive forgotten his warrior cat name I gave him so i'm just calling him Jack, leaving the clans temporarily to become a kittypet, which is where he gets the bandana I draw on his design. He's told if he ends the rebellion and goes to become a kittypet then he can take Crutchie with him, and the other cat will be able to live a better life than they are having trapped in the abandoned twoleg house or in the horrible situation in the clans. I think that's most of my thoughts. Race is a tortoiseshell cat and hes transgender bc most tortoiseshell cats are female. just making this note bc i like it and i havent been bothered to draw him yet. Crutchie is nonbinary, because of the stuff that ive heard about junior newsies where they don't have a gender specified. The StarClan cats who are communicating with the medicine cats are going to be a range of canon characters who I think are suitable. Thinking Swiftpaw, Badgerfang, and whatever the name of the cat who was involved in creating the rule of apprentices not being trained before 6 moons is (i could move and get the book to check but I can't be bothered).

Redthistle, the healer before Sagewhisker, has Littlebird with another ShadowClan cat, unnamed here. I like to image that her secret was brought to light at some point and resulted in her being ostracized within the clan, which is why Sage was so against Yellowfang having her kits.

Littlebird has Crowtail and Hollyflower with a WindClan cat, Whiteberry.

Newtspeck, Ashheart, and Frogtail are the kits of Crowtail and Archeye (yes, he is a chimaera)

Ashheart does not have any kits.

Instead of Darktail being the son of Onestar and Smoke, he is the son of Sol and Blackstar. Blackstar dies pretty soon after Sol is exiled, leaving Russetstar as leader. She is leader when the Kin take over ShadowClan.

Fernshade and Wolfstep have three kits together, Nightwing, Whitethroat, and Badgerfang.

I’ve renamed Wetfoot to Rainfoot

Nightwing dies in the mountains instead of Smokepaw, who lives to become Smokefoot.

Applefur and Smokefoot are the parents of Shrewfoot and Olivenose. And Shrewfoot is the mother of Stonewing and Wasptail.

Instead of Reedclaw having kits with her cousin, she’ll have them with Snaketooth! The two meet and get along well while ShadowClan and SkyClan are living together after the Kin. They continue to meet after the two clans split again and have Kitescratch and Turtlecrawl.

Badgerfang couldn't seem to get enough air. The marsh seemed to fill his lungs with thick humidity, suffocating him as his chest heaved and heaved and his tongue went dry, sticking to his stained teeth.

Below him, were the results of a self-driven quest that had taken a lot less time than he had expected. The brown tabby tom, his face still contorted in a primal rage that Badgerfang had seen in battle more times than he could count, lay in a puddle of his own blood with his claws still out and his teeth bared as though he wished to continue his assault into the next life.

Badgerfang shook - fury, grief, and intense relief made his muscles quake so fiercely that he thought he would collapse on top of the bedraggled corpse - as his mind instantly drifted to Blossomsnow and Darkkit. His mate and daughter would be back in camp, hopefully hiding away from the incoming storm in the nursery, all tucked together in their nest, safe and warm and ready for sleep. Thunder rumbled like a tiger's growl above the trees, making Badgerfang recall Brokenstar's snarl to his kit. "You're much too old to be suckling on your mother's delusional tales as though they give you milk," he had snapped, in front of everyone, kit and warrior alike. "Come tomorrow, it'll be time for you to leave that kithood nonsense behind you in the dirtplace. Tomorrow you taste the salt of an enemy's blood and feel the sensation of battle in your muscles. Tomorrow you will become my warrior and fight for the greatest Clan that's ever graced this world."

The slit in Brokenstar's throat still wept as Badgerfang curled his lips back and stepped over the tom's hulking back. "You know, I figured I'd be used to the taste of blood by now," he growled, low and quiet, to the cat who had pushed and pushed him and his Clanmates to immeasurable lengths. He never knew such suffering was possible in this mortal life, but perhaps that could all be put to an end now. "I've never enjoyed it, but I must admit..."

Claws pierced skin as Badgerfang pulled Brokenstar's lulling head close.

"Yours is the sweetest that's ever ran over my tongue."

welcome to my second warrior cats au: badgerfang lives!

i'm still working on my stormstar's sacrifice au, but i had this thought the other night while taking a shower: what if badgerpaw had survived the famous fight that killed him? what if he actually made it to adulthood and lived as a warrior under brokenstar's heinous leadership? i don't have a whole lot of details blueprinted yet, but here's some tablescraps:

• made a rough estimate that badgerpaw probably would've been apprenticed around the same time as blossomkit from cats of the clans, so they train together and become quite close after surviving the battle that originally killed them both in canon (they become mates and have a daughter: darkflower)

• that being said, blossomkit's warrior name is blossomsnow

• instead of dragging badgerpaw off to the sidelines, flintfang flees the battle with him altogether and gets him to runningnose just in time to save him from death

• after the battle party returns, brokenstar calls a clan meeting to congratulate everyone in driving off windclan...and outing flintfang as a traitor

• flintfang tries to defend his statement, screeching that a real clan built on pride and strength wouldn't be training kits barely weaned from their mothers, and he sure as shit wasn't going to let his nephew be torn apart by a rival warrior four times his size and several years his senior with a hell of a lot more training and experience

• brokenstar loses it and publicly executes flintfang for "insubordination", and takes up badgerpaw's training himself despite fernshade's pleas; badgerpaw spends a good deal of time unconscious in the medicine den, so he doesn't even know his uncle is dead until brokenstar growls to him that he will be his mentor now

• brokenstar trains badgerpaw extremely hard and with twice the ferocity that the other underaged apprentices experience, beating him to the point of exhaustion; he gains several scars all over his body as a result, but the mental toll causes him to go numb and he sets most of his focus on pleasing brokenstar just long enough to get to the end of the session

• unwittingly, he basically brainwashes himself into brokenstar's ideal warrior: he survived the battle for a reason, maybe flintfang WAS too soft on him and saw him as nothing more than a weak little kit, and besides, only the worthiest apprentices are graced with the privilege of being trained by the CLAN LEADER

• this mindset gives badgerpaw a god complex of sorts, pushing away his mother fernshade for "coddling" him and snobbishly stating to the other apprentices as they complain about their own brutal training that they just need to toughen up and stop whining like a bunch of babies. he loses a lot of friends because of this, but blossompaw - who had been badger's best friend since their nursery days - stays by his side as she remembers the cheerful young cat he used to be before brokenstar's cruel influence had gotten into his heart

• badgerpaw and blossompaw become warriors, named badgerscar and blossomsnow, and the two become mates not long after because brokenstar had established a breeding program of sorts to encourage couples to have kits in order to strengthen shadowclan's numbers. brokenstar would usually assign mates himself by calculating who would produce the strongest kits together, and usually wouldn't allow an already bonded pair to become a couple, but only allowed badgerscar and blossomsnow to hook up because he was strong and fearless and she was clever and resourceful. it didn't hurt that blossomsnow was one of the few cats badgerscar genuinely cared about, so the two honestly welcomed the arrangement despite some early awkwardness

• meanwhile, badgerscar's manipulated mind molded him into becoming one of brokenstar's top warriors and he eventually landed right at the leader's side as his right-hand man, even higher than blackfoot or clawface

• badger and blossom tried and tried for a litter, but there was a period where it seemed that blossomsnow was barren. just when brokenstar was about to exile her and assign badgerscar a different she-cat, blossomsnow finds out she's pregnant

• however, a pregnancy was not an excuse to "move into the nursery and be pampered like a kittypet", at least according to brokenstar. blossomsnow still had to patrol and fight and eat shitty food since hunting wasn't allowed, even as she got closer and closer to her due date. this lead to her giving birth during a border skirmish

• it was a litter of only two, both she-kits, but one was born dead. blossomsnow was absolutely crushed, and badgerscar didn't expect to feel the horrible loss. however, they focus on their surviving daughter, whom they name darkkit for her beautiful black coat

• brokenstar is greatly displeased that his most prized warrior only supplied him one kit to contribute to the cause, but badgerscar gives a half-assed promise to try for more kits in the future, slowly growing more and more uncomfortable with how kits and apprentices are being treated in the clan now that he's a father with a daughter he loves very much with a mate who's always been there for him despite his huge asshole attitude

i kind steep off there, other than badgerfang becoming irate as brokenstar begins to prep darkkit into becoming an underage apprentice and starting to conspire against brokenstar and going by his canon name, but i'll think about it later on 🤔

Kit Guardian Mapleshade AU Anon! This time with the focus on Sorreltail since I’m mapping out AVoS and TBC, plus some families getting shuffled about. First up, families.

Ambermoon, Dewnose, and Snowbush aren’t siblings in this and only Snowbush is born at the correct time and is a BrightCloud kit.

Dewnose is the son of Petalfoot (Cloudtail’s sister Nami) and Swiftspirit (Swiftpaw) and is born at the same time as Whitewing. He and Millie become mates since Graystripe stayed in RC and they have Stormcloud and Drizzlefeather (Benny).

Ambermoon is the daughter of Foxleap and Rosepetal and is born around the same time as Sorrelstripe, Brooktuft (Hollytuft but Hollyleaf survives the battle due to being a med cat so she gets renamed after Brookshine, aka Princess) and Fernsong.

Speaking of Rosepetal, she and Toadfoot are the children of Ravenfoot and Barleyheart, with Daisy as a surrogate.

Daisy and Thornclaw wind up as mates, eventually having Eaglewing, Stemleaf, Plumstone, and Shellfur.

Since their canon parents never became mates, Blossomfall, Bumblestripe, and Briarlight are the kits of Lynxlight (Lynxkit) and Breezefur (Cloudtail’s brother Zack)

Since Mapleshade kills the snake that bites Honeyfern before anything happens, Honeyfern lives, giving birth to Juniperleaf (Juniperkit) and Dandelionbloom (Dandelionkit). They’re born at the same time as Poppyfrost and Jayflight’s (warrior Jayfeather) kits, Molewhisker and Cherryfall.

As Dewnose is much too old for Sorrelstripe, he’s only the sire to her and Seedtail’s kits.

Breezepelt is still Crowfeather’s child, but Crowfeather was never mates with Nightcloud, as Nightcloud and Crowfeather’s sister Hillwhisker are Breeze’s parents. Breeze eventually gets two new half-siblings. Slightfoot through Nightcloud who is sired by Crowfeather’s brother Downfoot and Fernstripe who is a LeafCrow kit born at the same time as in canon.

Minnowtail and Mousewhisker end up having Heronwing and Perchwing.

Minnowtail is the daughter of Dawnflower and Quietsong (Quietkit from ShadowClan), as are Pebblefoot, Tumbleleaf (Tumblekit), Havenpelt, Shimmerpelt, and Pikepaw.

Dawnflower has one brother in Woodshine, two adoptive brothers in Stormsong and Mintfur (found on the boarder), and five half-siblings in Willowshine, Rainstorm, Rushtail, Troutstream, and Lakeheart, all from Graystripe and Mosspelt.

Blossomsong (Blossomkit) and Brownstep (Brownpaw) both formerly from ShadowClan have Harestar and Antpelt.

Badgerfang and Swamplight (Swampkit) have Cloverfoot, Berryheart, and Rippletail/Buster with Snowbird as a surrogate.

Dawncloud and Wetfoot have Crowfrost and Spidertail/Eclipse (random shadowclan warrior who hid during the eclipse battle in Battle of the Clans. He runs and gets found that very day during the eclipse, hence his name)

Mosstooth (Mosspaw) and Tallpoppy have Marshheart, (Marshkit), Applefur, Toadfoot, and Shrewfoot.

A few leadership changes end up happening, starting with Russetfur becomes Russetstar as Stonefur kills Blackfoot, and she has Flintfang and later Badgerfang who becomes Badgerstar after Fading Echoes. He dies in the flood and we get Rowanstar.

Instead of Onewhisker becoming leader, Tallstar chooses Ashfoot who dies in the great battle as Ashstar. She appoints Blossomsong as deputy and she dies in place of Onestar as Blossomstar, after choosing Harespring as a deputy.

Since Stonefur doesn’t die, he gets to become Stonestar. That’s it. Reedwhisker stays deputy.

With Graystripe in RiverClan, Firestar chooses Longtail as deputy and Longtail stays deputy until he dies in Fading Echoes, despite his blindness. He actually mentors Jayflight. Following this, Shrewpelt gets appointed deputy and becomes Shrewstar. Brambleflower just kinda dies.

Also he’s mates with Cinderpelt.

Skipping over to plot stuff, with Darktail in WindClan, the new leader of the kin is Sol. Sol is an awful leader, but convinces everyone he’s right and eventually dies at Blossomstar’s paws.

Since she’s not gross and awful, Blossomstar doesn’t refuse the yellowcough cure, but it is a hell of a lot harder to find in this AU and a lot of cats still die. Violetpaw is brought to ShadowClan during this.

Shrewstar is very against having Twigkit and Violetkit separated, but even then, Sorreltail making herself visible and verbally clawing Rowanstar to shreds makes the agreement end up being that ThunderClan raises them to apprenticehood before Violetpaw is moved to ShadowClan. Needletail still becomes an important figure in her life, as she is in ThunderClan multiple times a moon to make sure Violetkit is being cared for properly.

The Broken Code actually ends up staying mostly the same as in canon, with Ashfur possessing Shrewstar instead of Bramblestar since even Mapleshade slapping him didn’t get rid of his incel behavior. The only big difference is Sorreltail can also be seen by Rootpaw and helps him with everything and when the clans all blame Shadowsight, she calls down lightning to strike in front of him before telling the clans off like an absolute girlboss.

Daisytail the cat who made the code ‘kits must be six moons old to become apprentices’ finds out Brokenstar had been forcing kits to become apprentices and even warriors just for them to die.

She wanted him gone.

During the great battle she charged at him before he could even attack anyone, she began screaming at him.

What was she screaming?, the names of all the kits he killed.

During her rage she hadn’t realised that she had killed him, he didn’t exist anymore.

You don't need to elaborate on this one if you don't want to, I'm just sharing, but imagine Yellowfang runs away with Brokenkit au. Like, fuck it, I'm your mom and dad (bigender Yellowfang?) and I'm not gonna give you the chance to become the menace to the clans that Starclan claims you'll be. You'll grow up in peace my son.

I just think that would be nice

in this au Yellowfang would take Brokenkit with her and the two would become kittypets. Yellowfang can't really bring herself to trust twolegs, but it's safer than being a loner or a rogue while taking care of a young kit.

they would be inside cats and spayed/neutered (okay no, brokey had one litter of kits before he got neutered) and they would live happily together (Brokey is named Henry, Yellow's name is Marguerite). henry and marguerite just live happy and peaceful lives it is a bit difficult for shadowclan because they don’t have a healer (they have to get help from windclan who sends barkface over, things are pretty tanse and poor runningpaw is getting a speedtraining and still gets named runningnose(poor man))

starclan still wants shadowclan to be all broken and sad for tigerclawstar to take over and be the real revenge for having banished skyclan all those moons ago. and raggedstar is angy so he gets with foxheart and they have a litter of kits(honestly it’s also very unpleasant for foxheart to be raggedstar’s posessionmate) one of these kits does the same deal of killing raggedstar and becoming leader, thicketstar, but this time they didn’t want any of it to happen, they were just pestered by starclan the entire time to do what they did. 

so they become leader, they are told by starclan to drive out windclan, to train kittens, ... all the atrocities that brokenstar would do, they do so, but they do the bare minimum. kits are apprenticed at 4 moons, but they aren’t thaught how to do vicious battle training before they get older, these apprentices also never go out to fight. so many of the kits that died because of brokenstar never died. volepaw, mosspaw, mintkit, marigoldkit, blossomkit, swampkit, badgerfang and all the others survive 

but eventually the other clans are done with shadowclan’s constant pestering (probably because they sent clawface to get some thunderclan kits and killed spottedleaf in the confusion) and thunderclan kicks thicketstar out. firepaw is with them. firepaw ressembles thicket quite a lot in appearance (henry had some kits remember) and firepaw feels weirdly connected to shadowclan bref runningnose is sent to train an apprentice asap, he takes cinderkit and she becomes thunderclan’s healer, later when barkface comes back running and bark train cinderpaw before making her a full healer (it’s bonding time babey)

some of the more vile cats (brokenstar’s canon followers) flee shadowclan with him and now there’s a power vacuum. sadly if thicket tries to return to shadowclan they’ll get thoroughly stripped of their life and shadowclan might get completely stripped of its existence so they play it cool. their followers aren’t very happy with their insistence on giving up the lives and leaving the clans alone so they force thicket to stay with them and they do the battling and when tigerclaw uses the cats to throw a coup they help him. tigerclaw is banished, but thicket stays and begs fireheart to let them stay. fireheart agrees because come one, this man isn’t going to chase away his great uncle (after some genealogy tracing they realise that nutmeg, fireheart’s mother, is henry’s kit and thus the two are related) 

bref tigerclaw goes to shadowclan and also after nightstar dies due to a shortage of lives because the other leader is still there tigerstar becomes leader (but he doesn’t have any extre lives this time) the tigerstar stuff still happens like in canon, the dogs get some bites on swiftpaw and brightpaw, he fire (but since yellow isn’t there and cinder din’t get hurt by the monster because well she didn’t have a reason to go there cinder follows fire and gets her leg seriously injured. mudfur and barkface team up to help her heal properly, but they have to amputate the leg because of how messed up it is. bref this doesn’t change anything about cinder’s quality of life she’s still doing her thing.)

anyways. bloodclan, yada yada scourge kills tigerstar, everyone realises that he only had one life, hah. and blackfoot also gets killed. so shadowclan has yet ANOTHER power vacuum and thicket is tasked with taking back shadowclan’s leadership. they don’t want to after everything that happened and name someone else deputy before giving up the lives they still had left and retiring in thunderclan, and being fun family for firestar and his lineage 

also smudge is the one to recreate skyclan and he becomes smudgestar, the end;

Blackstar AU

Blackstar au idea that I’m submitting because it’s a bit long and would take up quite a few asks

Au where Blackfoot is close with his nephew, Badgerkit and the first time he really doubts Brokenstar’s leadership is when he makes the little guy Badgerpaw at only three moons old. Fearing that his kin will wind up like other recent apprentices, Blackfoot tries to persuade Brokenstar on holding of sending Badgerpaw on any real battles until he is at the more standard apprentice age unlike his peers. Needless to say, Brokenstar doesn’t like this idea one bit and chews out his deputy, accusing him of growing soft and thinking that his kin is weak. To which Blackfoot argues that he’s not soft, that the extra time training will give Badgerpaw an edge in battle but Brokenstar won’t budge, threatening severe punishment for Blackfoot if he doesn’t back down. Afraid for himself and that said punishment might include his kin, Blackfoot backs down and at four moons, Badgerpaw is sent into battle and dies as Badgerfang. Seeing his tiny broken body shakes Blackfoot to his core. His nephew was dead and he allowed it to happen. Allowed other kits just like him to die all in the name of so called ‘glory’. Allowed his own mother to be kicked out of camp. Allowed so much cruelty to happen because he had believed the words of a monster. It is then that he vows to stop training his own apprentice and goes to confront Brokenstar, calling his leader out as a fox hearted kit killer. Which gets him fired and chased out of Shadowclan, barely making it out of the territory alive.

For a few moons after that, Blackfoot lives as a rouge until one day, he bumps into none other then Tigerclaw of Thunderclan. Who proceeds to tell him all about Brokenstar’s demise and the sickness ravaging Shadowclan, which he uses to persuade Blackfoot to come back with him, along with other rogues he had picked up (but none of Brokenstar’s other followers in this au). Blackfoot’s mother, Hollyflower, and his siblings, Fernshade and Flintfang, are ecstatic to see their kin alive and well, all having forgiven him for working with Brokenstar and so proud of him for standing up against that monster. While everyone one still very much despises the former deputy, with some making the argument that he only started caring about Brokenstar’s cruelty at the death of his own kin. To which Blackfoot agrees with them because it’s true and he’s prepared to to banished once more without a fight. But Tigerclaw advocates for him, arguing that the former deputy has seen the error of his ways and only wants to atone for his mistakes by helping his clan here and now. With much reluctance, the clan begrudgingly agrees to let Blackfoot stay in respect for Tigerclaw and the fact that they are in no position to turn down help from a strong healthy warrior, who matter they were or what they had done. 

From then on, Blackfoot throws his heart and soul into nursing his clan back to health, taking on the duties of ten cats no matter what they were. Except for anything involving kits cause ain’t nobody let a baby killer near the babies. His family are his allies along with Tigerstar but because most of the clan’s distrust in him, Tigerstar doesn’t choose Blackfoot as his deputy and as a consequence, Blackfoot isn’t part of the dog pack plan, isn’t even aware of it as it’s happening. He is suspicious at the idea of Tigerclan at first but figures that clans working together is finitely better then clans being driven out. He only sees Tigerstar for the monster he truly is when he hears his leader order the execution of two half clan apprentices and Stonefur being murdered for his refusal to do it. That night, Blackfoot catches Firestar and friends rescuing Mistyfoot and the apprentices but instead of attacking or sounding the alarm, he helps them to escape and continues to help fight against Tigerstar’s cruelty until the monster’s brutal demise at the claws of Scourge. 

It is Blackfoot who ends up leading Shadowclan in the battle against Bloodclan and afterwards, several clanmates nominate him as leader. Blackfoot doesn’t believe he is worthy but because he has the most votes for the position, he goes to the Moonstone anyway, fulling expecting Starclan to turn him down. But Starclan welcomes him and Blackfoot is given life after life until there is only one left. And that’s when Blackfoot sees a familiar uniquely stiped face in the crowd. Badgerfang steps forward and Blackfoot apologizes for being complacent to Broekenstar’s cruelty, for not doing more to protect him and their clanmates. Badgerfang knows that his heart is truly contrite and that’s why he forgives him and why he’s there to give him a life for forgiveness, overwhelming Blackfoot with so much pure love as he does. And Badgerfang cheers the loudest of all as the Starclan cats call his uncle by his new name, Blackstar.

badgerfang i think a lot of us have a big ol soft spot for, but ought i really care him and his family i think it needs more than jusT the badgerfang death like for real

one of the biggest reasons i wanna learn to animate is because i wanna make a badgerfang and flintfang amv! it would be sdkg more about flintfang because i think he’s a neat character who has a lot of potential for development 

like mAN you ever stop and think about not only was flintfang sad over badgerfangs death because it was sad, bUT also because badgerfang was his sisters kit AND to the thought of blackstar is flintfangs brother. flintfang had to deal with playing a hand in badgerfangs death then watch his brother loyally follow brokenstar, then tigerstar 🥺

Baypaw

baypaw was the first of his lil chunk of family i design, i didnt have a sorrelstripe design made yet so i ultimately decided to base his design on his grandpa Lionblaze. smaller fluffy lionblaze.

I know we should be coming up to baypaw getting their warrior name soon

Beech Tail

the only thing i have  to say is dgjksh when i designed the ‘beech’ prefix designs it was late and i totally went ‘beech... the beach’ and noT beech the tree sdjkgh. so i designed beech tail like that of a penguin sdjkgh

Beechfur

beechfur , riverclan warrior under mistystar’s leadership

i imagine beechfur is be EXTREMely accident prone, from the first instant of getting sick and healed by leafpool all the way up till the end. He is in and out of the medicine cats den constantly. and through this formed a big ol crush on the pretty medicine cat apprentice Willowshine who has had to full on decline his feelings. he is not the only one who has had this treatment, many a riverclan cats have found themself charmed by willowshine

Beechpaw

Beechpaw, a apprentice of ancient skyclan who were forced to leave the forest territory.  i imagine beechpaw was of the few cats who did everything he could to keep the others in good spirit while they tried to find their home, which often came to the annoyance of all his distraught clanmates. he never stopped doing all he could to put a smile on their face until he died.

he was the last apprentice cloudstar named a warrior and only lived a few moons after becoming one.

warrior names i like for him are like Beechshed or Beechshine

Beenose

slight update to my beenose design because i want her to fit my newer darktail group clown aesthetic 

another design note is her and her siblings all are themed after a diff color of the rainbow, beenose is yellow. their mom snowbird has a pale rainbow pattern and each other her kits is a diff color of the rainbow

Beetlewhisker

Beetlewhisker is another one of my quiet favorites i have, and it is because of the error of him being alive for SO many books after he died.

like !!! bitch had a HUGE major death and went on to live for a long time aND be listed as a cats mentor (which i think that has been changed now)

i love the idea of in a way beetlewhisker WAS with the clans that long after his death. that due to his death was in a way locked in the dark forest, his soul stuck there. but because of the ways of the dark forest cat’s he was chased out, and unable to enter starclan having died in the dark forest, now cursed to live in limbo.

He walks to the grounds of riverclan watching over his clanmates while they rest hoping that no one else is to be preyed upon by the dark forest like he was ever again. 

theres ghost stories of riverclan cats seeing the shape of a cat shining brightly when hit by moonlight. a peaceful spirit of the past who protects them.

and in design 100% his design was made to look like that of a smeleton bones lol

Bellaleaf

the erin team will have to pry bellaleaf and firestar being siblings from my cold dead hands!!

you can’t say they look basically exactly alike and their not related i wont take it sdjkg. i DIE for the idea oh whore jake managing to have so many kids that get into the clans. like the over saturation of jake dna through the clans ruining them absolutely kills me sdjkg

i also imagine ravenpaw having like deja vu of firestar when he looks at bella, cats who knew firestar look at her and can’t help feel she reminds them of someone. 

Berryheart

another one of the designfor snowbirds kits, berryheart is the red themed sibling.

she also got a slight design change to be more clowny to fit her time in darktail’s group

Berrynose

i just love berrynose, i think hes very terrible and i love him a lot

i think the books are cowards and i think berrystar woulda been the fUNniest outcome oR like

imagine the powermove if berrynose lived and squirrelflight fucking made berrynose her deputy likE

also berrynose is a lil gay brat, he has a thick country accent and everyone find him weirdly charming. many hate him but cant help but find him alluring. 

he actually is a very good warrior, he stays on top of his task and brings in the prey. his biggest problem is his ego and his need to get in others faces all the time

i love when he’s paired with lionblaze because their stupid rivarly is so good i really wish it was more plot important and lasted longer i LIVE for best friend rivals lion and berry

buT i also love him with jayfeather for the simple dynamic of the one cat who would probably hate him more than anyone else but oops he’s in love to

or him and breezepelt because they could be lil shitheads togeather

Birchface

the biggest thing i can say about birchface is 100% birchface watched over mapleshade’s kits, doesnt let appledusk or his own family hurt them. He treats them like his own.

in AU’s where birchface lives i defiantly can see him having a HUGE crush on mapleshade and being much like thrushpelt was to bluefur. being as a surrogate dad for her kits and keeping the secret.

in my main AU with mapleshade dieing and getting a redemption its mostly the same except they become a sweet happy family together in starclan.

he’s a big goofy dad type and his father had hoped he would become leader one day, but worried that he was too lax with the code and not as driven to fight as others and began to think he would have to rely on frecklewish instead. then they both died and he ended up turning to his youngest son pinefur

Blade

this is just a one time ghost cat buT  i like the design i made for her.

im all here for dark forest cats having this black oozing mark from where they died, starclan gets being covered in stardust and maybe having from pretty plats or glow or other representative stuff on their death. but ghost cats are loUD with their mark of death. its a nagging weight they carry around based on their inability to move on to their respective afterlives. For blade its giant bright red tire marks that slowly circle around her body.

Blazefire

i imagine he kinda constantly has crushes on cats from other clans which while some might tell him to hush when he shares his thoughts on the pretty cat from riverclan he gets some loving teasing from dovewing and antfur

not much here but to say 100% i designed blizzardwing in mind of being that of a grandson or great grandson to blizzardstar

bluebellkit sure disappeared from the books. she’s one of those kits that like, she already had a mouth full of a name and i wish i coulda seen what they woulda named her as a warrior

but she’s another one of snowbird’s rainbow themed kids, her ofc being the blue one.

i think a cute warrior name for her could been Bluebellwhistle or bluebellfoot

the other thing vaguely mention in these but would probably be more prominent in his og story

but brackenfur is quietly the biggest mess in the family. Being on pare with confidence and energy as cinderpelt when they were young, after her accident somethin changed for him. he loved his sister but is a big distant. but its hardly noticeable between the two as they worked very separate jobs in the clan

then his other sister, brightpaw has her accident and brackenfur begins to question something

but when he his the last to leave in the thunderclan group to their new home he stops and looks back at his mother frostfur who is old and frail look, though she wasnt young the damage of the forest hit her hard. 

this when brackenfur decides starclan has it out for his family, especially the mollies. they were cursed he was sure.

moons later he is expecting his kits with sorreltail, letting his mind rest on the idea, the crazy notion that some greater force wanted the she-cats in his family dead. 

then the day his kits arrive cinderpelt dies to the badgers. he pushes down these feelings down again it was the time. But he couldn’t help but think that, if leafpool was there, if starclan had given them a sign of the badgers, anything. maybe cinderpelt might have lived. but he pushes it back down and tells himself it was a warriors death

and then his daughter, cinderpaw is struck by the tree and the stirring in his mind grows stronger. why has starclan done this to his family

then honeyfern gets bit by the snake. how could starclan be so cruel, their always so young.

then his sweet sorreltail fought strongly for her two young daughters future

and on his own, forced to watch seedpaw drown and lilypaw be haunted by what happened.

the women in brackenfurs family is cursed and he bears the burden of relizing it, of living and watching each of them suffer until the end

to the ones that lived and are happy still, with no burdens in their lives he watches happily making sure NOTHING bad comes their way. he would fight starclan themselves to make sure his family is safe and happy

Breezepelt

in design Breezepelt has a p average length tail. which for him is a huge disappointment. His father crowfeather has a long slender windclan tail, a trait that is held to high standards in his family. a trait passed all the way down from windstar herself who had the longest and most beautifully windy tail. 

Breezepelt has a angry spot about this because he feels lacking and especially disconnected to his father. BUT double this with jayfeather having only half windclan blood has a tail even longer than crowfeathers 

i also would NOT put breezepelt with heathertail, i dont see any reason for it. like first off this bitch gay, id love for him to have a boyfriend and it think it should be berrynose because one, their both terrible i think it be funny and i also think its funny to ship berrynose with lionblaze or jayfeather so im like, whats another brother (to be clear not shipped all together, this is separately) and two, the idea heathertail and poppyfrost lesbian could exist

then the big BIg thing is, i would take breezepelts character and gut what happened in crowfeathers trial out of both him and crowfeather

briarlight buff as shit in her forlegs she loves trying to rope leafpool and jayfeather into lil strength contest she always wins (sometimes she will let leafpool win on days she needs it) 

her and jayfeather are wlw/mlm best friends. jayfeather calls her pidge which started as a mean nickname that she simply loved and embraced fully

also in my AU with medicat lionblaze i can very much see briarlight and lionblaze being very sweet friends. like big strong lionblaze who is actually docile and compassionate about his work and briarlight loud and rooting him on

Brick

swear to god until i got back into warrior cats this year i had always thought brick was a lady and her and bone were suppous to be scourges like adoptive bad parents jkdg

anyways im still with that, she/her agender brick who adopts their terrible son scourge and is in a monogamous partnership with bone’s. strictly business defiantly not married, they just have a son together. 

Brindlewing

idk a ton about her, but from her wiki it dsjkgh doesnt look like theirs  alot

but i’d like to imagine she’s a very anxious girl and struggles in crowds especially around cat she doesn't know. she feels more comfortable when one of her sisters is with her or her grandmother nightcloud. Nightcloud has always been a source of self confidence for her and they love each very much.

Brindlewing also inherited crowfeather’s family long tail that skipped breezepelt. Brindlewing holds the tail in her mouth as a means of helping her anxiety.

Bristlefrost

a biG design overhaul for my bristlefrost design, i really didnt like the old design i made her. wanted her to be a lil darker colored and in general have a cuter design

i gave her diff color eyes to mark her double agent status one eye green like her fathers and the other sharing the same blue i use for ashfur’s eye color

i kept her with the one white paw which i give to any descendent of jake, just because canonically she is ivy and ferns kid.

but in my rewrite their not togeather. Fernsong was a kittypet or a loner who had lost their mate and home and was found by ivypool caring for his three kittens alone. this is more fernsong headcanon, but bristlefrost is there

bristle and all the kits love ivypool they look up to her big time and all wished she was their mentor when they became apprentices. 

bristlefrost often confides in her father when feeling guilty or unsure of herself and he is always there for her

Bristlekit

half brother to tallstar

i imagine woolytail’s family seems to have a high mortality rate with their kids with only one maybe two usually making it to adulthood. bristlekit would die before becoming an apprentice and spent time in starclan with finchkit and later rabbitkit waiting for wrenflight and tallstar.

if bristlekit made it to being a warrior id like to think he was named Bristlefeather or Bristlefoot

Brook where small fish swim

teeny update to my brook design to give her small white fish dots matching her brothers spots

her general design is mean to be loosely based on a mountain lion. 

she got strong powerful mountain climbing body

i also wish her romance was better developed and wasnt like based in a lot of white savior romance plots given to native and native coded characters

in general the tribe really shoulda just been written better

Brownpaw

brownpaw, brother to littlecloud killed mosspaw as a kit on accident and was apprenticed for it by brokenstar

i imagine him and his brother wetfoot killing mosspaw effect them both deeply. for wetfoot it shook him to the core and made his doubt his own claws

for brownpaw it set him down the path of destruction. brokenstar rewarding him for what happened with mosspaw was the biggest enabler

brownpaw would go on to be a blood thirsty apprentice who would throw his young life away under brokenstars order of attack.

had he been made a warrior i think brokenstar woulda named him Brownmoss claiming he had earned the name when he took it from mosspaw.

Bug

design for bug because i think the book she was in didnt exist when i originally started drawing every warrior cat

bumblestripe’s character makes me sad

im SUCH a millie stan and for one of her kids to be disabled then treated like garbage to the end of her life and written super ablest and then her other two kids are total shit heads? makes me sad

i wish at lEAST millie and graystripe had a second little, maybe just one total sweetheart

and its been forever since i read the books. but i remember bumblestripe being a real nobody characters just very generic personality until romance plot for dovewing came into play. and now he super sucks!

i wish he coulda just been a good character who loved dovewing, is sad and kinda jealous of her feelings for tigerheart but in the end respects her decisions and even admires her courage to follow her heart even if it led her over the borders.
