a/n: per request of one of my dear mutuals, @1234-emyyy, here's some short and sweet fluff for my pretty boy shoto <33 inspired by my own humming while writing this lol (I HOPE YOU LIKE IT!!!!)

shoto did not think it was possible to love a person more than he loved you right now.

after a long day of patrol he finally returned home, tired and aching in places he didn't know he could ache. and there you were, singing softly along to the song that was playing throughout the house, unaware of his presence as you cleaned up the kitchen. he stopped where he was, quietly closing the door behind him before you noticed he had come in. you looked like an angel under the kitchen lights; he stood there, admiring you, as though this were the first time you'd two had ever crossed paths—with the look he had in his eyes, any unknowing onlooker wouldn't have thought otherwise.

it was always the little moments like this, when shoto fell harder than he thought he ever could. he felt like a schoolboy as his heart exploded in his chest; he wanted to frame this moment forever, watching you somehow manage to seep magic into a task so seemingly mundane. it was something only you could do, a power that he adored with everything in him.

as you looked up and smiled, closing the distance between the two of you to engulf him in a hug, he was reminded of what he was fighting for—a chance to come home to you everyday and be greeted with a smile. it was the promise he'd made to himself at the beginning, and one he intended to keep until the very end.

no one would stop him from returning to you when it was all said and done, no matter how much they attempted to. hell, he'd like to see them try.

Izuku watched you giggle with Todoroki, your hands intertwined, a bitter feeling in his stomach. You guys had been dating for a whole month now, with no sign of breaking up. It made him sick. But why should he care? He had his chance. He remembers it so clearly…

You extended a heart-shaped box towards Izuku, the words 'I like you!' escaped from your lips while your face was flushed. Izuku looked at you, his cheeks flushed red for a few seconds, but he finally calmed down, gently lowering your hands and the box of chocolate, you looked at him confused as he smiled at you embarrassed. "Look, I can't reciprocate your feelings. I'm focusing on being a hero right now, I don't like anyone and I'm not interested in love, I'm sorry..." He said softly.

You had muttered a weak response, saying you understood then made a hasty exit. He had felt bad, but that was that.

Now he paid the price. Seeing you happy with your boyfriend, who made you smile and giggle, despite being emotionally constipated. That could have been him. But why should he care? It was his choice to break your heart. Now you were happy with someone that wasn’t him. Izuku Midoriya was a shitty guy for ever rejecting you.

Now he definitely regretted everything. He saw you and Todoroki exchange your wedding vows, your eyes sparkling, so much love in your gaze. Love that would have been for him. Shit, that should be him. That should be him kissing you. But why should he care? He had Uraraka. He glanced at the brunette, then back at you. She didn’t deserve this. She was great, but she wasn’t you. Whatever. Why should he care? He had his chance. Now he was paying the price.

He saw you pregnant, feeling bitter, his stomach twisting, despite being a happily married man. But why should he care? You were happily married, pregnant with Japan’s number three hero’s kid. Sure, he had a wife, was number one, but couldn’t help but feel like Todoroki had won the lottery in life. Why should he care?

He had rejected you all those years ago.

Why should he care?

It’s his fault anyways.

I love the juxtaposition between "Deku can't eat glow stick liquid for his own safety" and your art depicting Shouto eating cleaning supplies. SOMEBODY has a favorite.

Shouto did that and it was out of my control and then he got his stomach pumped !! For deku, it was a theoretical question of what would happen if we were to eat glow sticks! I would have stopped shouto too if I could and given him orange juice instead !!
