WIP Ask Game: Pinocchio K

This is probably the loosest WIP I've got so far, mainly the outline of a bunch of scenes and K-drama tropes I want to hit, so I'll share a slice of one of the more fleshed-out scenes I've got so far:

“Just–” He rubbed his forehead. “Share my bed until we can get a proper place. We've done it before. It'll be fine.” K paused, looking up at him through a pretzel of arms. “That was before,” he said plainly. “You sure?” Su-Yeol nodded. Something about K’s usual conviction faltering here only bolstered Su-Yeol's own resolve.  “It's big, we can easily both fit. Like before.” The appraising look K gave him was nearly unreadable, but it made his skin feel a little hotter just by the power of observation. And if that wasn't enough, the wide smile that burst across his face was enough to set him on fire.  “Really appreciate it, Su-Yeollie.” He resumed his stretch, pulling on his arms and chattering away, already seeming more awake. “I'm gonna be such a good bed mate, you'll see. Coming in all quiet when you're already asleep, barely moving the sheets, laying so still. Best bedmate, no competition.” He'd lived inside Su-Yeol's head long enough to know that was probably true anyway, but the assertions still put a soft smile on the older man's face. “You were a blanket-stealer when you barely even existed,” he scoffed, sounding too fond for his own ears and unable to remotely stop. “Don't act like you're reformed now that you've got your own body.” The timer on the coffee pot saved him from K’s glare, but not the thump of footsteps as he was nearly tackled from behind.

Seung-tak: "...I did it. I broke it."

Rang: "No. No you didn't. Yeon?"

Yeon: "Don't look at me. Look at Young-min."

Young-min: "What? I didn't break it!"

Yeon: "Huh, that's weird. How'd you even know it was broken?"

Young-min: "Because it's sitting right in front of us and it's broken!"

Yeon: "Suspicious."

Ro-joon: "If it matters, probably not, but Su-yeol was the last one to use it."

Su-yeol: "Liar! I don't even drink that crap!"

Ro-joon: "Oh really? Then what were you doing by the coffee cart eariler?"

Su-yeol: "I use the wooden stirrers to push back my cuticles. Everyone knows that Ro-joon!"

Seung-tak: "Okay, let's not fight. I broke it, let me pay for it."

Rang: "No! Who broke it?"

Moon-jo: "...Grim Reaper and Goblin's been awfully quiet."

Grim Reaper and Goblin: "REALLY?!"

Everyone starts arguing.

Rang: "I broke it. I burned my hand so I punched it. I predict 10 minutes from now they'll be at eachother's throats with warpaint on their faces and a pig head on a stick. Good. It's been getting a little chummy around here."

Bad and Crazy--Review and Thoughts (Spoiler Free, I think)

I wasn't expecting to like this show that much, but I really loved it! The characters of K and Ryu Soo-yeol were just so fun to watch on screen! Overall, this definitely gave off vibes similar to that of Fight Club---which I think is also a really good movie! I like that this show also touched on aspects of memory loss/amnesia, past child abusive, and overcoming trauma. That and Soo-yeol becomes a better person by the end of the show. At the start, he is a cop, a bit of a dirty one at that, who places a lot of importance on money. By the end, he is still a cop, but seems to be more compassionate to those that are involved in the cases he works. K appearing at the time he does I think was due to a high point of stress in Soo-yeol's life. But K, if we're going to go down the DID route, is most definitely a protector. The first time K appeared, when Soo-yeol (who used to be called In Jae-hai) was 13 and his father was murdered, was what I think prompted the memory loss, but it was also to shield Soo-yeol of what he witnessed that night. There is very little romance in this show, which I actually really like. It is hinted that him and another officer Lee Hui-gyeom used to have a relationship but it didn't work out. And I find it funny how Soo-yeol is over her, but K is very much in love with her. These two have good chemistry together.

And, this is just a me thing, what with having a fascination with mental hospitals/asylums (really, don't ask why, bc idk) I loved the last couple of episodes where we got to see Soo-yeol in a psychiatric hospital. And the scenes with him trying to escape, and after his escape were just so freaking funny to me!

The big twist in this show, I will admit, I saw coming. The moment that Shin Ju-hyeok (aka Jeong Yun-ho) was introduced, I was thinking there was something fishy about this guy. And I was right! And they definitely chose the right actor for this character as he has a face that can come off as both trustworthy looking, or like a snake, like he is hiding something. The character of K, played by Wa Hi-joon, also stared on the show Squid Games, so I was happy to see him again. I enjoyed how he played K as a bit of wild card compared to Soo-yeol who was a bit more predictable. I could probably write more about this, but then I would be falling into a really long rant. So I will stop here.

WIP ask about Pinocchio K please.

Sure! A bit of info about this idea: it's a persistent brainworm after I finished the K-drama "Bad and Crazy" and made my way through the very limited amount of fanfic. The leads, Ryu Su-yeol and K, share a body, and in the limited pool of fanfiction, there were maybe 2-3 fics addressing "What if K and Su-yeol were suddenly separate people? How would that change their dynamic? How would they learn to live with each other?" and so my brain ran away with it.

There's a thread of romance in there, because it's really hard to remove yourself from the intimacy of literally sharing a body, but mainly it focuses on the domestic fluff of having to teach your alter how to be a Real Boy™ now that you aren't handling all the boring stuff while he sleeps.
