((I wanna actually share my plans for Carter's blog under the cut before I head to bed, just so y'all can have an idea of what I'm planning!
first off, I am gonna be cutting down on her aus/verses! Right now, I have three regular verses planned (a main verse, a child verse, and a movie verse (but generic for all films rather than breaking it down by timeline/individual movies), and a handful of her aus still. The ikau is still sticking around because that is her main/biggest au and one I've been working on for... nearly as long as I've had Carter as an oc, at least, if not the same amount of time. I'm also keeping the hansen au, pyro/mutant au, and not today/endgame au. And then, of course, a generic au/crossover verse.
now, I'm not sure if I'll be keeping the carterio au? So if y'all wanna share your inputs on that that's fine with me, heh, but if I do keep it, that'll be a future project as it'll need a lot of adjusting and reworking. The same thing goes for the disappearing act au.
secondly, with regards to Carter's background: it's still gonna be hella fucking detailed, heh. It's still gonna be broken down by each (relevant) movie like it was before (and the times between), so each section will still come with its respective cw/tw tags on top, but I will... need to figure out how to break it up since I'm posting all this info directly into tumblr posts to make it accessible. Not a big deal - Fae's background was a challenge in its own given how I have that formatted, but I just wanna give a fair warning, heh. But Carter's background is still going to be dark, and it might get darker because I'm not gonna be beating around the bush with a lot of stuff like I was before.
another thing, although minor lol, I might change Kenobi's name, heh. Carter's still gonna have him around, because I do love the idea of her having a service dog because she'd absolutely benefit from it, but I kinda wanna give him a lotr name sdfgkhdsf - I'll see about that when I get there, but if I don't go with Kenobi still, he's gonna be named Samwise because that feels perfect for a golden, and I'm kinda living vicariously through her about owning another golden sdfgkhjsdf
lastly, I am gonna be starting fresh in regards to threads, but! if there's any y'all want to keep, just let me know and I'll gladly continue it! I just want a clean start to get her blog running again since it's been a few months since I've touched starcchild, and while I don't see the changes affecting how she's been written, I feel like it'd be easier, heh. Which brings me to my next point: if any of y'all want to scrap what relationships your muse(s) have with Carter, that's totally fine! I never have an issue with starting fresh in regards to any sort of relationship with any of my muses, even active ones, but I especially wanted to mention it because of the lull in Carter's activity.
I'll probably talk more about this once I actually start tackling Carter's background and doing more on her new blog, but for now, I'm gonna head to bed!

courage, dear heart
i wrote a thing!
AO3 fic link: atomic blonde
fandom: Narnia/LOTR crossover | ship: Susan Pevensie/Éowyn, background Haladriel
rated: mature | tagged: crossover, canon compliant, pining, Gender Politics with Clive Staples and John Ronald Reuel, post The Horse and His Boy, bittersweet
Summary: It’s not the first time a power beyond understanding ripped Susan away from her home to fight in another world’s war. And in this strange country, she will find her courage.
Set as Frodo becomes the ringbearer, set after Susan returns from Tashbaan and the Battle of Anvard is won.
a/n: Written for @thenarniaficexchange 2023 for @syrena-of-the-lake. Is this fic just a string of references from all seven narnia books, at least five lotr books, various narnia and lotr films, a lotr tv show, Churchill’s “we shall fight on the beaches”, and Shakespeare? Maybe so.
Two canons in a blender, my favorite scene in this is when the Dark Lord Sauron comes to Queen Susan in her dreams to take her apart and finds something he didn’t expect. And my heart aches to answer an unanswered question in the fic about magicked memory loss and the Problem of Susan, perhaps in a sequel.
Excerpt:
Her hands are dirty from drawing the circle, fingers burned from the blue fire.
The bright magic ring she wears is cold, very cold; cold as the bottom of the sea. And it sings of power, not of the flesh, but over flesh. The power of the Unseen World.
In her mouth is the language spoken before the dawn of time. Before the Deep Magic was written. Before the Sun and the Moon were made. “Call her up.”
*
It’s quite sudden – the searing sound in her ears and then a great pop – and she’s no longer riding alongside her sister in the wilds of Galma but in a strange, alien land.
She stills her horse, and is surprised to find it not the dumb Galman beast who was a pleasure to ride along the sands of the ocean, but a great stallion fit for a warrior of renown. The shabby islander saddle is now richly ornate, covered in symbols she does not recognize. The windswept sea of grass smells sweet; rich earth beneath and a warm yellow sun in the endless blue sky above. Massive forests and towering mountains in the distance, and far off to the south, clouds of smoke. No recognizable landmark of any kind.
This curious little girl from Finchley has experienced travel between worlds before, but she does not quite remember the first time. Something about a mother who loved her and a great stairwell and the numbing horror of nonstop destruction; all faded in memory and deemed unimportant, lost. She is now queen of a great country; taller than her brother, the High King, and a remarkable beauty sought by highborns across the known world. Her raven-colored hair and red lips, haunting the dreams of many. Her gracious kindness, a balm to her loving subjects once subjugated by winter and a witch.
More importantly, she still remains curious.
For she is Susan, by the gift of Aslan, by election, by prescription, and by conquest, Queen over Narnia under the High King Peter, the Lady of Cair Paravel and Protector of the River Rush, Blessed by the Radiant Southern Sun, Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Lion, Daughter of Eve, the Gentle.
And this strange country, unknown to her, is Middle Earth.
*
Her magical horn came with her, tied to her belt. There is no hesitation as she raises it to her lips. Father Christmas had said “–wherever you are–,” so she blows it, calling for help in this alien place.
The full velvety sound rings out across the grassy plains, ringing up through the nearby mountains and reaching forests unknown and reaching foreign ears in their towers of stone. (Perhaps even reaching the power that brought her here.)
A rider appears in the distance. Susan narrows her eyes, considering if this is friend or foe. She only has a dagger and her wits, which may be enough.
It is a warrior with a shield on his arm. He rides a white steed and golden horse hair flows out of his helmet. He shines bright like the famed white stag and Susan feels an intense urge to chase this rider at once, to put an arrow in his heart and drag him to the ground.
To demand wishes? Perhaps. The urge is unknowable.
But no: this is no white stag, nor a magical creature of any sort.
And Susan does not yet know that this is no man.
Susan called for help, and help has arrived in the form of Éowyn, the Lady of Rohan.
*
It is a cautious meeting and neither dismount.
The rider’s gaze is appraising, obviously noting Susan’s foreign dress. There’s the uncommon length of her raven hair, adorned with the lush island flowers of Galma. The dagger and white horn at her side, and the ease in which Susan is managing a stallion. The queenly posture; a regal confidence undoubted. (This is learned behavior. Pevensies can trace their lineage to poor fishermen in East Sussex and poorer soldiers from Normandy.)
Susan’s assessment is this: the young rider is a dangerous warrior, lithe and well-knit in frame, made all the more queer with his open courtesy to a stranger.
“What country, friend, is this?” Susan asks.
The rider tilts his head. “This is Rohan, my lady.” His voice ringing out clear.
And what shall I do in Rohan? Susan thinks, miserably.
“Are you in need some assistance, my lady?” the rider continues, a look of concern in his gray eyes. A pause. “I am Dernhelm, at your service.”
*
Dernhelm listens to her tale and “strange sorcery” is his response. He thinks a moment before: “Have you experience with witches?”
Susan gives a smile, but it is a bitter one. She knows more than some about witches.
After Susan explains, Dernhelm nods. “The way I see it is this: you have appeared here through magic, for what reason, I cannot say. And you have appeared in Rohan, for what reason, I cannot say. You are no servant of the Dark Lord, there is something true and honorable about you.” He stops there for a moment before a continuing in a most peculiar tone. “The wizards have no interest in queens; what is a woman to the affairs of air and earth? So, the Lady of the Golden Wood, she must be behind this and her reasons could have promise in them.”
“The Lady?” Susan echoes quietly. There are hags that called Her “the White Lady.”
“She is a great sorceress. An elf-witch of terrible power who dwells in Dwimordene.” Dernhelm looks grave. “It is said that all who look upon her shall fall under her spell and are never seen again.”
Susan shivers, thinking of the horror of Jadis’ castle. Of Tumnus’ look of terror, frozen in stone.
Dernhelm continues. “My brother believes she is a myth, and–” he pauses as if pained by a memory unspoken. “My king’s advisor says webs of deceit were ever woven in Dwimordene.” He raises his chin, and his eyes are shining bright. “But I believe differently. There is an old, old tale of this elf-witch helping my annointed forebear, the first of our kings. I choose to believe that tale. I choose to believe that in our time of need, the Lady came to our aid. High honor to protect the king and his men, and dread magic too. And perhaps, perhaps if she is behind this, she can be reasoned with and you can return home. Should you have the courage, you seek her out.”
“Then I shall go to find this Lady of the Golden Wood,” Susan says. “If you will take me there, sir. For I do not know the way.”
The man sucks in air and holds it a moment before: “For this journey, you have my sword, your grace.”

All your fic idea sound delightful but I’m very curious about the Magician Nephew x LOTR crossover and the Another MGME but it's just my OCs from my historical fiction novel!
Ask me about my not-yet-written-fics from this list
Okay, so:
,Magician's Nephew x LOTR crossover
It's so easy to make this work.
Jill and Diggory have magic rings that transport them to the wood between worlds. In theory, the wood contains portals to every world that has ever existed, or ever will exist, right?
So the events of the magician's nephew happen. They wake Jadis, get chased by her all the way back to the wood, and then they run for the nearest pool. And rather than it being home they run for the one that happens to be Middle Earth.
Jadis still grabs onto Digg's ankle.
(Debating on whether or not to include uncle andrew. It does involve them having to go back to England in between their trip to the dying world, and then for some reason back to the wood. Maybe the whole lampost situation happens still idk. I do just love the idea of Jadis and Uncle Andrew traipsing through Middle Earth).
I have not fully decided which age to put them in but there IS something immensely funny about Diggory and Jill wandering around Middle Earth with some magic rings.
And also for some reason Diggory and Jill end up with one ring color, and Jadis (and also potentially Uncle Andrew) wind up with the other ring color, and/or there just aren't enough rings and somebody ends up with all the green ones).
They wind up separated and traipsing around looking for each other and/or trying to separate Uncle Andrew and Jadis. I think it's best if maybe Uncle Andrew and Jadis have the green rings, but aren't willing to leave without also having the yellow ones.
Jill and Diggs wind up in Rivendell (obviously I MUST include Elrond) and give everyone a heart attack because they have a funny little yellow ring that absolutely rubs Vilya the wrong way and doesn't match any Music in middle earth. Meanwhile apparently according to them there are Some Very Dangerous People wandering around with another set of weird magic rings.
I want Jadis to decide that she absolutely wants to be queen of Middle Earth and to try very hard to launch a campaign for it.
Also want Jadis to find out that there are other magical objects and to try and collect them all like Pokemon, and to be a royal pain in EVERYONE'S (including Sauron's) ass.
Anyway that's it that's the idea.
MGME But It's Just My OCs From My Hisfic Novel
okay to make this make sense you gotta understand that within the actual history post the book I wrote, two of the main characters get killed.
(the book is set during the very last year of the nine years' war in Ireland, where Hugh O'Neill, High King of Ireland and Chieftain of Ulster fought against the colonizing English army. He had convinced Spain to help him (Catholics vs Protestants), but the Spanish pulled out and Baron Mountjoy (British occupation) essential starved the Irish out by burning all their crops, and eventually Hugh signed a treaty after one final stand in Ulster. Baron Mountjoy smashed the stone of kings, where all the High Kings of Ireland had been crowned for thousands of years, and formally began the occupation, moving British colonizers in to take over the farmland in Ulster and press the Irish into serfdom.
ANYWAY. So that's the background. Later Hugh and his ally Rory O'Donnell go to Spain to try and muster up some more help, but they wind up actually getting sick and dying during the trip.
So my OCs are Hugh's wife and daughter. (Hugh was, historically, a terrible husband and I am an absolute slut for messy toxic dynamics). The OC winds up with Rory in the end bc he was historically a Really Cool Guy.
So naturally, instead of them dying later I'm like 'haha what if they just got transported to Middle Earth'.
I have not thought this through very hard but I would obviously like the Classic 'they wind up in Rivendell' because again, Elrond, obviously obviously.
Mostly SOL but I could also see Rory and Hugh going "oh, there's another colonizer who wants to destroy the free people of THIS land??? Fuck him. We're absolutely joining that fight."
I could see this being set in the second age actually during the first founding of Rivendell (and so Rory and Hugh and up in TLA) but I could also see them at Pelennor in the TA, but unfortunately that means that my OC mom doesn't get to meet Cel :( And I want them to be friends. They would get along so well.
Elrond, of course, parents both OCs (even though one of them is a grown ass mom) because I want him to. Also he hisses at Hugh. Because he's trash.
Alternatively they could wind up sometime in the early third age and join the war against Angmar and then we still get Cel. I'm not picky.
This one is more vague and I mostly daydream about SOL situations of my OCs in Rivendell but there's definitely A Plot in there somewhere.

I only RP on Discord. 21+ peas and ques.
About me: Izzy, She/they, 23 I'm looking for people who can write 2-5 paragraphs using functional grammar. I'm not looking for perfect I just gotta know what you're saying. I only write in the third person and ask that you do the same when writing with me. I work full-time in the school system (yikes I know) and I'm also a college student (double yikes) SO response times may vary. I try to respond daily but sometimes life gets extra lifey and it's once a week. Please do not bug me for responses that being said I am more than happy to have some OOC chit-chat in the meantime. In fact, I love OOC chit-chatting with my RP buddies. Tell me about the books your reading, yummy food, movies or tv shows you're watching. Rec some music. Share the cute fur babies. Seriously I love it and totally do think of my RP partners as friends. By all means, if this isn't your thing tell me to piss off. That's fine. OK Back on track. Plots: I love to write romance, slice of life, action, mystery, adventure, hurt/comfort, crack, fluff, angst, spice. Like all of the things blended into one. I like to have a dynamic plot loosely figured out and then just continue to build on it as we develop characters and their dynamics. I write both OCxCC and CCxCC NO OCXOC sorry! Fandoms I write for are:
Marvel (MCU and Comics): I’m open to OCxCC, CCxCC, ABO, and Poly in this one I love world-building and meshing MCU canon with comic Canon and our own idea’s as well. If we’re doing CCXCC I do have a preference of M/M pairings but I am open to some M/F and F/F and other paring combinations.
Harry Potter (Marauders Era after graduation only): I’m open OCxCC and CCXCC I adore world-building for this one and bending Canon to fit our liking. I do also prefer to have multiple characters and moving parts in these plots in the background.
Criminal Minds: I’m open OCxCC, CCXCC. ABO and Poly ship here as well. I like to have a nice blend of slice of life and other things with a little bit of casework. Basically the reverse to what the show gave us.
Supernatural: I’m just looking for OCxCC here uhmm it’s been a hot minute since I’ve roleplayed this fandom. I think I’ve seen up to season ten for sure? I am planning on finishing it soon. I think my OC would pair up nicely with Dean or Cas but I’m open to your suggestions as well.
Some other less common fandoms I write are: WWE Yellowstone 911 Lonestar LOTR/Hobbit Almighty Johnsons
Marvel Ships Storm/T'challa Steve Rogers/Wolverine S teve Rogers/Tony Stark Steve Rogers/Clint Barton Steve Rogers/Peggy Carter Steve Rogers/Natasha Steve Rogers/Sam Wilson Sam Wilson/ Rhodey Sam Wilson/Clint Barton Sam Wilson/Monica Rambue Sam Wilson/ Bucky Barnes Sam Wilson/ T'challa Sam Wilson/Natasha Natasha/Tony Stark Natasha/Matt Murdock Natasha/Bucky Barnes Bucky Barnes/Clint Barton Clint Barton/Bobbi Morse Clint Barton/ Thor Clint Barton/ Phil Coulson Clint Barton/Scott Lang Clint Barton/ Matt Murdock Clint Barton/ Jessica Drew Clint Barton/ Tony Stark Tony/Rhodey Rhodey/Carol Danvers T'Challa/Okoye Okoye/M'baku Polyvengers Criminal Minds Ships Hotch/Emily Hotch/Rossi Hotch/Morgan Morgan/Garcia Morgan/Emily Morgan/Reid Reid/Emily Reid/Rossi Reid/Luke Emily/Tara Emily/Rossi Harry Potter Ships Remus/Sirius James/Lily Remus/Dorcas Meadows Sirius/ Marlene McKinnon Bill/Flure Alice/Frank Longbottom Charlie/Tonks Bill/Tonks Remus/Tonks Crossovers I would be interested in writing. Marvel/Criminal Minds Marvel/Hobbit Marvel/Supernatural Criminal Minds/911 Lonestar Criminal Minds/WWE Other Fun stuff to know I love making playlists, mood boards, Pinterest boards, and just all of the things for RP's, ships, and characters. I'm a menace honestly. If you'd like feel free to message me here or on Discord. Discord: noneherself

For the trope ask:
Kidnapped Stephen Strange (😅 jk)
AU Fantasy (characters turned into dragons or set in a fantasy world for example)
Hahahah. That's too easy.
AU Fantasy is interesting. Hmm. I'm considering it as the world itself rather than shapeshifting into a dragon since that's basically the same as a cat or dog or something--unless it's in a medieval-like world, which is, well, AU fantasy anyway xD
Solid C
It wasn't something I read in LOTR since, well, duh. I first encountered it in Sherlock and I found some good ones, some eh ones, and some "ah this is tripe" ones. Basically same deal with the MCU.
Basically a good author can sell it really well, and a mediocre author will remain mediocre or outright bad. Fantasy AUs require some world building, but keeping the character the core of what makes them them can be difficult in AU settings.
A big reason I don't like AUs like Dark AUs or Mafia AUs or something similar is that in order for it to work, the author usually has to change core aspects about the character's personality to make it work. In the MCU, I like the characters not because they're played by Benedict Cumberbatch or Robert Downey Jr or Tom Hiddleston or what have you, but because I like the characters for who they are. I like their personalities, and a core part of their personalities is their morality. Some AUs that are in the darker spheres have to completely contort these personalities because that's the nature of the AU. But in my head, they're not the character anymore; they're just wearing the character's name and appearance.
Some really, really talented authors can make the Dark AU work by showing the descent into darkness. A really excellent example of this is The Price of Ambition by technetium43 which has a couple versions of Stephen and shows excellent, excellent paths into how they came into the way they came to be. I think for a Dark version of a character to work (that isn't established in canon), it's an author's job to show us how this happened. It's something I also attempted to do in my Earth-197320 series, which also has multiple Stephens, one less good than the other. Whether I accomplish this successfully is up to the reader.
But you're not asking about Dark AU, you're asking about Fantasy. The reason I brought up those other AUs is that Fantasy AUs often have a difficult time keeping a character's personality consistent, at least moreso than in the home universe. Because of this, the character often doesn't feel like the character that I fell in love with due to his character traits, and so I find the story less interesting. If the author can build another background that can keep those traits and it make sense, I'm more likely to enjoy the story. If they have a good plot to accompany it, all the better.
I know both Imagined and FriendlyNeighborhoodFangirls created multi-chapter fantasy AUs 3-5 years ago that had solid world-building and well-characterized Stephen Stranges, if you're looking for recommendations. Should be easy enough to find in their profiles. I'm also open to recs as I may have very well missed some as I don't go looking for the trope. I did try to RP it on Discord one time but it didn't go anywhere, haha.
The closest I've gone into the trope is my LOTR/MCU crossover and that's probably as close as I'll ever get to it. (Funny story - one of my latest reviews on that fic was actually on fanfiction.net as I was still posting there when I wrote this, and it was like a Good Reads review which was just hilarious to me. They didn't like it, but that's okay cuz I didn't write it for them, I wrote it for me. My Strange is still rough in this one though; I was still getting his character down while writing it and I think a bit too much Sherlock slipped in from time to time.)
Yeah, a lot of this is off topic and long, but would you expect anything less from me?
Original: Ask me to grade a trope.

📓 <- feel free to ramble about it as much as you want :)
Okay this is very specific to me and my love of schlocky 80's fantasy, and like to be honest I haven't actually read the original LOTR trilogy, but I grew up with the movies, but I've had this fic floating in the back of my mind that's basically a tavern that specifically serves as a little fantasy crossover setting. So this would kind of focus on Elric and Moonglum meeting with other fantasy characters because . So like, the first one would basically be Moonglum of Elwher and Samwise Gamgee having a pint together while Elric and Frodo are both recuperating upstairs in sickly, recuperative, consumptive states, and Sam being like, "Wow, you guys have a codependency problem."
Another ficlet which would be EXTREMELY niche to me would be Elric and Moonglum meeting Tiger and Del from the Sword-Dancer series, because that series has the whole "Soul-Drinking sword mechanic" as well, and Del and Elric would both be total edgelords at each others' throats while Moonglum and Tiger would just be chugging beers in the background.

Hii 😊 I'm new to your blog and extremely nosy so can I ask who are your fav dwarves? And lotr characters? Also just randomly do you have a fav middle earth location? (Mine is anywhere where boromir is hahaa and the shire)
I can't really pick a fav dwarf myself, they come as a set 🤣 but like if I had to pick strictly on attractiveness 👀fili lol no joke would marry him tomorrow if I could even if it was only for one day and then smaug incinerated me
Do you have any ships or crossover ships for the erebor gang? I don't really care for ships cuz I have a hard time visualising my fav with anyone that isn't me 😂 but, and listen I don't really know why, but I somewhat ship Captain Jack Sparrow and Kili.
The mere idea of Kili dandering on into the lonely mountain while Jack stumbles in after him like a drunk deer not used to solid ground, eyeing all the gold and poor Kili having to try introduce him to Thorin and Dis, Thorin so not approving bcuz Jack's probably got his pockets full of stuff that isn't his and Thorin can smell trouble and Jack fckin reeks of it, and Gandalf in the background almost dying on his pipe smoke because so help all of Middle Earth if he has to babysit those two complete morons. And y'know Kili aboard the black pearl during a storm absolutely entirely drowned on the deck ngl he'd make a pretty pirate. Ultimately I don't think they'd actually work cuz I can't see Jack wanting life on land and Kili would miss the dwarves and the mountains but its a fun almost ship
Anyways my lady apologies for my intrusion of your ask box and all the nonsense I've just left there but I cannot get the hobbit/potc out of my brain of recent, as mentally banjaxed as it is I have spent the past three days straight (it's been way longer than that shhh) imagining that I'm part of the company and Fili's wife 😅
woah, hello there and welcome to my blog! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying yourself :)
as far as my favorites of the dwarves go, I absolutely adore kíli, fíli, bofur and nori!! they're all amazing and I love the deeper look the production vlogs give you for them <3 I'm also a big fan of Frodo in particular, he's so surreal as a tortured character and I love his character arc throughout the movies.
if I could go anywhere in all of middle-earth, I'd definitely have to say Erebor and Rivendell. they're just absolutely stunning locations and I would do anything for the chance to witness such splendor! the shire is also a personal favorite of mine :)
as far as ships with the Erebor gang, I love Thorin and Bilbo. despite Martin Freeman not liking fans seeing queerness with his characters, he ironically plays queerness very well. though I'm not really crazy about crossover ships if I'm being honest, but definitely more power to those that adore them.
also, just a quick note that I'm not a lady! but I'm so glad you seem to be enjoying my work and my blog and it's always lovely to chat with those that enjoy things in common interest <3 daydreaming really comes in clutch when you wanna imagine marrying your favorite dwarf :)

20 Questions for Fic Writers
Tagged by: @traveleorzea, thank you so much!
1. How many works do you have on ao3?
43 works so far, wow!
2. What’s your total ao3 word count?
207,031 words!
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently, I'm writing for my current obsession, Final Fnatasy 14 as well as working on my last fanfic for GW2 as I've long since began leaving the game behind after finishing EoD.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Gold Amidst Snow (MDZS), Inquiry (MDZS), Never Envy (MDZS), Flight (SVSSS), Dream Walker (MDZS) As you can see, I was really into MoXiang TongXiu's works in the past and while I still love them with all my heart, I've taken a break from them to enjoy other works!
5. Do you respond to comments?
Yep! I try my best to reply as much as I can <3
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Earth Is My Body and Water Is My Blood (MDZS) because I kept it canon-compliant, which is bad for the character as she happened to be a minor villain in the story. It was interesting exploring what might have been going on and somehow recasting the light on her to be far more sympathetic than the original story portrayed her to be.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Definitely Is That a Hat in Your Pants or Are You Just Happy to See Me? (GW2) the rediculous name and the fact it's from the POV of Rama (my love, my king, my everything) who is characteristically somewhat of a dork makes for a cute and lovely ending!
8. Do you get hate on fic?
Not at all, thankfully!
9. Do you write smut?
I tried but writing it is just too hard, so I gave up lol
10. Do you write crossovers?
Yes!
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Nope, and I hope it stays that way.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes, someone had asked to make a Russian translation of Gold Amidst Snow and I saw no reason to deny it.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope, I don't know how one would go about co-writing a fanfic, I never tried before, but it looks fun!
14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?
I will always melt for some good ol' Bagginshield! The Hobbit featured greatly and I blame Bilbo and Thorin for making me fond of people going from disliking each other to loving each other!
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but probably won’t?
In Sun and Rain (LOTR) mostly because I have no ideas on how to approach it and am mainly using it as a way to experiment with simpler and more slice of life type stories.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Descriptions, I can describe places and people, how things work, and how a person ticks. If it needs describing I can probably do it.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Dialogue, I know a character and I can trace their wants and desires but I never know how they want to speak. Their voices take a while to find and only after writing them for a while. It's a pain considering I love exploring character relationships.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I love foreign language phrases in fic, it feels so natural for me, probably because I come from a background where it's usual to hear someone switch language as they go about their day. With that said, the best way I've seen it executed is by having hover translations like in the amazing @noverturemusings fanfictions!
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Hahaha, Transformers. It was a weird Humanoid AU where a girl isekai's into a female Starscream. Good times, good times!
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
Hands down, it has to be Is That a Hat in Your Pants or Are You Just Happy to See Me? I had so much fun writing from Rama's POV and I like to go back and reread it when I have a bad day, it's my comfort fic!
Tagging: Well, whoever wishes to answer this really, no pressure!

Kingdom Hearts Revived: Redux
So picture this story set in this massive crossover prompt (that sortof rips off Kingdom Hearts, specifically KH1). Either for a video game or a series (ignore the obvious licensing problems). Intentionally vague for you to give your own interpretation (like what the title is for instance). Take your time with this one, especially if you decide to give your thoughts on EVERYTHING, not just the Mandy and Wonder Woman arc.
This would be something like the LOTR movies in that it focuses on multiple groups of protagonists instead of just one, but for here specifically, focus will be drawn to a certain Asian “mean girl” and an Amazonian warrior.
First, background information to give it extra flavor.
ELSEWHERE (not the title)
In the universe, various evil beings congregate and do their evil plans. The egotistical disgraced billionaire turned supervillain Lex Luthor, the white wizard Saruman, and the shapeshifting red headed blue mutant Mystique all lead their own Legions of Doom from all around the galaxy to uncover some sort of Macguffin that either gives them ultimate power or whatever is their greatest wishes (in Mystique’s case; it’s partly following prophecies by her dearly departed Destiny). They may or may not be warring with each other.
One of said villains picks up a firebender named Azula, formerly the princess of a warmongering nation, with the nation lost and azula herself suffering a mental breakdown as a result. Azula is manipulated by the Villain into becoming their personal underling (why the villain does this, YMMV).
However, several scenes show that Azula is also being influenced by a mysterious orb of red and green light who instructs her to feed on her most damaging tendencies (or, alternatively, sabotage the villains plans).
On the heroes side, a paranormal organization with members Hellboy, Martin and Diana Lombard (from Totally Spies’s sister show), amongst others does some undercover work investigating the threats, superheroes are beginning to form (eventually leading to a team combining Marvel and DC characters) clashing with the Legions, etc. Sarah Connor from Terminator plays either the Nick Fury or Amanda Waller role eventually overseeing everything.
Eventually all the players come together. After a big battle against Saruman, Luthor, and Mystique; then enters Freddy Krueger, a nightmare demon with a red and green sweater and a funny claw, fueled by the emotions of fear, rage, and pain. Either Freddy simply hijacks all the villains plans, or it’s revealed that Freddy was using all the villains as his puppets all along. Either way, he needed Azula to get the goods (he was the Orb), and once the opportunity presented itself, he either kills Azula or does something to her body and sends her down an abyss (but it’s ambiguous if she survived or not) and then becomes the main villain and moves on to destroy the entire universe (Originally his plan was only to destroy the world but when opportunity presented itself, plans changed.)
So boom boom, random boss fight with a giant version of the Pale Man from Pan’s Labyrinth, Freddy becomes a battleship and then boom finale.
(However, either a post credits scene or future installments reveal that since Freddy spread so much terror to the whole universe already, he is able to not only come back, but is no longer confined to Earth. But he’s not trying for another universe destroying plot… so far.)
THE STORY HERE (still not the title)
Mandy from Totally Spies was just doing her typical schtick in either high school or college when a mysterious storm appeared destroying her school (or maybe her entire hometown). May or may not involve Legion members or monsters. Mandy survived. Somewhere along the way Mandy has to join Wonder Woman, Diana of Themyscira, on an adventure for some reason (maybe it’s to get rid of a curse, a prophecy, dealing with some newfound superpower or another reason) where they encounter said Legions and the leaders. Mandy learns a couple of things about herself in the journey as Diana’s persuasive words touch her heart and soul.
All the while the firebender encounters them at various (but not frequent) points of the story for an unknown personal reason (either the Villain/Orb instructs her to or Azula just focuses on them against her master’s orders). Think of Riku’s scenes in Traverse Town, Agrabah, Monstro, Neverland and Hollow Bastion. In a series, Azula would probably appear in 3 or 4 episodes (but not in a row) of the Mandy-Diana arc leading up to the penultimate event.
Wonder Woman takes cues from her incarnation pre-Infinite Crisis in that she doesn’t have a secret identity like others have, however (as a nod to Perez era) she doesn’t really identify herself as “Wonder Woman” though she’s not offended by the media nickname, but she always makes it a point for others to call her Diana.
Wonder Woman and Mandy would stay separate from Connor and the rest of the heroes (as Diana has not joined a superhero team yet) at least until either the halfway or penultimate point of the main story, then they are present with them as they defeat Freddy.
Diana keeps her lasso of truth as usual. Sometime, Mandy gains an ornate axe decorated with thorns (will elements of “Goth Mandy” come to play?), either gifted to her or something she draws “from her heart” somehow. It‘s either just a physical weapon or has some “soul power”.
After the end of the story, either Mandy moves in to Themyscira as an Amazon, or simply Wonder Woman and Mandy just hang out in their world, something else, etc.
So, how do you imagine their story would play out? What would Mandy and Diana of Themyscira’s friendship or something else (but not romance) be like? Any analyses you can draw from this vague concept?
And if you‘re curious enough to talk about the other parts of the story (heroes and legions, Freddy’s role), again how would the story play in your opinion? (This is optional however).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Alright for the rewrite of ”Kingdom Hearts Ripoff: Redux”; alongside ideas you said you’d like to develop more, here’s some ideas that were meant but not properly explained in the original prompt:
If memory serves, only Saruman was the evil “White Wizard/Ishtari” and the White Council were the good guys so the White Council wouldn’t really work as bad guys. If anything Gandalf would be part of the good guys.
Sauron is either dead or simply doesn’t exist in this story at all. He’s a Dark Lord far more powerful than all four of the main villains combined.
The “Legions of Doom” were more of a general meaning for villainous crossover teams. The three villains have their own Legions comprising of villains from many franchises (that you can pick) from all around the galaxy. For example say that Luthor’s Legion has Doctor Octopus and The Riddler, Saruman has Captain Barbossa, Dr. Facilier and Snow White’s Wicked Witch, and Mystique has Livewire. (these are not the total members or need to be the legion members LOL) but you can stick with Luthor’s Legion and Mystique’s Brotherhood if you want, though Saruman will need his own Legion.
You can use Saruman as the role of Azula’s “boss”; but he wasn’t really the “manipulator” in LOTR. He had to literally possess a king to gain control of his kingdom (which failed), and beforehand he bribed a slimy servant to corrupt him. Mystique on the other hand is a well known manipulator (and backstabber) and remember JL “Tabula Rasa”?
Azula’s mental breakdown should play a crucial role. didn’t read comics but according to creators, the situation was so bad she got committed to an asylum. This would explain why Azula was more easily susceptible to the manipulation by one of the Villains and Freddy/The Orb (yes remember that both the Villain and Freddy were manipulating her, even if Freddy told her to betray the former). Also of importance should be Freddy’s/The Orb’s corruption of her, playing on her insecurities and specifically instructing her to take those self-destructive tendencies and inner turmoil and embrace it furthermore. It cost Azula her own friends, family and ultimately her own home dearly in the war of the Fire Nation, and again here it plays a role in her death or demise alongside Freddy.
Why does Freddy take the form of an Orb when privately speaking to Azula? Was it of his own choice, or was Azula (and his further corruption of her) more important than one would think?
(Optional) To give an idea of story progression, maybe it first begins with the paranormal organization, and then the rise of the superheroes as probably a response to the Legions. The paranormal organization would probably try to work ”in the dark” as they probably done before, as no one previously really believed in tales like the Jersey Devil and vampires, and they probably needed to keep it a secret. However with the rise of superheroes, the public would realize that these so called “fairy tales” were more logical than they think and the secrets can no longer be contained, and the paranormal organization would have to step up their game.
As superheroes are just beginning to form, Sarah Connor would probably form the team of superheroes close to the beginning point of the story or the halfway mark.
Luthor/Saruman/Mystique and Freddy would play out like Maleficent and Ansem in the first KH in that ultimately those three villains are the “focus” for most of the story, driving most of the plot forward (with Freddy appearing in only brief scenes with Azula as the Orb for the “first two acts” ) and it’s only in like the final third of the story that Freddy steals the show. The “penultimate event” would be a battle against the three villains and Freddy’s arrival (as himself, not the Orb), the real “final act and finale” would be Freddy trying to destroy the universe. TLDR; those three bad guys are the main villains of the beginning and middle, Freddy is the villain for (only) the third act and finale. Inspired by KH1’s ”Hollow Bastion” story.
No offense, but Mystique is incredibly resistant to mind tricks, Saruman is basically a powerful wizard, and Luthor, while narcissistic, is still a genius, so it wouldn’t really make much sense that not one of them could defeat Freddy already when all three of them are still sticking around at the same time. Nor would it make much sense for Freddy to not either kill them or do something horrible to them. But TLDR; once Freddy becomes this story’s main baddie, Saruman, Mystique, and Luthor are either all dead or taken out of commission.
Doesn’t mean that Freddy himself necessarily killed them or beat them however. Perhaps they died or were beaten because of their own failings (again like Maleficent in KH1) and Freddy only took charge after the fact (again like Ansem).
(Optional) Maybe Freddy would ultimately possess Azula’s body and reform it to his own physical image (like Ansem with Riku)? If so, then her soul would be banished into an abyss. Here’s a scene for reference (this is after the main villain takes over said character’s body and banishes his “heart”): https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=thwKomyWCBg&list=PLBSaGsHLuQhGIfEeU6b-purevzVSFjISK&index=28
Freddy does not fight the Pale Man. It was a reference to KH1 where the final world had a random Chernabog boss for no real reason. So in here, before the heroes fight Freddy, a giant version of Pan’s Labyrinth Pale Man shows out of nowhere and fights the heroes. Exactly why The Pale Man is here is your interpretation.
Alternate universes are not in this story, too complicated, no offense. Everything takes place in the same universe. Maybe the same world if they don’t have to travel to other planets (which they probably do).
Mandy and Wonder Woman’s arc would not be after Freddy’s arrival. Rather their arc (starting with Mandy’s college destroyed) would play out from either the very beginning or close to the beginning. Maybe as opposed to the other heroes and the paranormal organization (who probably stay “on their own turf” as to speak) their arc would be more of the “adventure” genre where they explore realms and places. And with Freddy only being the main villain for the final third, they probably wouldn’t be “oppressed” by the darkness as much.
(Optional) there would probably be several (but not many) scenes where Diana takes Mandy to see Themyscira. To give an example, maybe Diana takes her there after the college storm, and they go there several times either to rest or to find out from (or tell) Diana’s mother the events that are transpiring in the world and universe.
Azula would in no way (intentionally) help the heroes nor Mandy and Diana. Azula’s personal motivation for antagonizing Mandy and Diana would be more of an emotional one (for a hint, think of how Azula would feel about them, especially the Amazon, as well as Freddy/Orb’s influence). (Riku from KH1 was an inspiration, only without the “former childhood friend” element. If you don’t care about spoilers there’s a video that has all Riku scenes from the first Kingdom Hearts. And yiu probably shouldn’t bother looking it up on the wiki, the story of KH is way to over complicated)
As you said yourself, more development on the Asian girl and Amazon princess as friends pls. Also on how Diana would help Mandy on her own inner problems on their journey, not just the ones currently, but the ones she always had since high school.

“The Azure Sky”- Chapter 8 - Lego Elves
Masterlist
_________________
Shadows to the Brightest Flame: Series
- The legacy of Lumia’s influence is scarred eternally into the lands of Elvendale. Burdened by a prophecy foretelling her demise and need for a successor, she watches for one capable of such power. Yet her enemies are working steadily to undo all she’s labored so long for, and it is millenia too late to make peace.
Emily Jones, heir to Eimileen, is a bold girl dedicated to protecting Elvendale, but the world she has grown so fond of is not so black and white as it seems, and the titles of Guardian of Portal and Guardian of Light may hold darker legacies some ancient elves have worked tirelessly to hide.
In conjunction with the extended version of the Guardian of Light prophecy I wrote previously
Basically a rewrite of all of the Lego Elves & Secrets of Elvendale storylines with an additional arc beyond the Season 4: Into the Shadows. There will be a varying degree of deviation from canon.
Technically a crossover with Lord of the Rings/Hobbit/Silmarillion in terms of worldbuidling, as I set Elvendale as being north of Middle-Earth, cause this is fanfic and I can. So there will be mentions of the Noldor, Sindar, Silvan, and some Tolkien characters, but they will be mostly background. Definitely not an issue if you aren’t familiar with the Middle-Earth fandom; everything will still be easy to understand.
Book 1: The Azure Sky
Grieving over the unexpected death of her grandmother, Emily Jones is accidentally trapped in another world. Befriending a few young elves in an attempt to find her way home, Emily discovers many secrets about her grandmother’s past, but for every truth she learns two more questions take its place, leaving her vulnerable to darker force inhabiting this realm.

____________________________________
Empty-handed, Naida and Emily trudge back to the hollow’s entrance. “Do you think anyone else will have been successful?” the human ponders.
“Most likely Farran. He has the strongest connection to the trees, and while the ones here don’t have the most friendly of dispositions, they still have a fondness for earth and silvan elves.”
“Trees have dispositions?”
Naida smiles, “Yes, but on most worlds they perpetually sleep, living their lives in the dream world. In this realm, when the elves were first created, they started to wake them up.”
“Why did they want to wake them up?”
Naida shrugs. “It’s just in the elven nature. Curiosity, and a deep love for the elements of nature, desiring to be nearer to it. Some travelers even say that elves have a greater love of language compared to other species.”
Emily smiles. “My parents always said I got my green thumb from the grandmother. My little sister can’t stand the racks of plants I keep in my bedroom.”
“Maybe that’s why Eimileen chose you to inherit the key,” Naida suggests gently, “because she saw more of elvenkind in you than human.”
You really think so?”
“I’m not wholy certain, but ever since I’ve met you, you’ve seemed comfortable in our land, almost connected to it in the way we are.”
A blush spreads across Emily’s face, “I don’t know that I’m…” but she is, if she thinks about it, peeling away the layers of the fear and anxiety she’s experienced since coming here, she realizes how much more alive she’s felt in this world, far more than she ever has on earth. Suddenly, the prospect of going home seems almost devastating.
Naida stills.
“What is it?”
The water elf doesn’t respond, turning her head to watch the woods behind them. “There’s someone here.”
“You think one of the others came looking for us, since we were late?”
Naida frowns, staring deep into the trees.
That’s when Emily feels it, a presence, lurking beyond where they can see. Elusive, oppressive like a vivid surreal dream. Her amulet weighs heavier upon her neck, threatening to cut through her skin. The clear blue surface of the stone turns dark, cloudy.
“Aira? Azari? Farran...” Naida calls softly, though it is clear from her face that she does not expect and answer.
There is none. Just the deep silence.
“That’s not them,” Emily stutters out, “It’s something else…”
Naida grabs her hand, turning them around to walk briskly. “We’re not far from the entrance.”
“We should go faster.”
“We don’t need to panic. Whoever’s back there is probably just another elf minding their own business.”
“They were watching us.”
“That doesn’t mean they would try to hurt us. There are very few people and creatures to fear in Elvendale. It would be unlikely we would come across one of them.”
“But possible.”
Naida sighs quietly. “Just keep ahold of my hand.”
They continue on a few steps, and Emily can feel herself calming down. “Didn’t Azari say this place was haunted?”
“I very much doubt what we felt was a ghost.”
“Do ghosts even exist, like for real, in Elvendale?”
“There are rumors, and one cannot discount the abundant bizarre events that have occurred here…but I doubt it.”
Nuala had always said the images that haunted the hollow weren’t spirits, but rather vengeful memories. Of course no other elf could speculate where the second sister had come across such an eccentric idea, but Nuala held to it all the same. She once told Naida that it wasn’t the memories themselves she should fear, no matter how frightening the apparitions were. It was the people who could make those memories come alive. Those were who she should fear. Naida asked ‘who possessed such power?’ but that her grandmother never answered.
Spotting Aira and Azari ahead, the water elf is pulled from her thoughts. “Any luck?” she calls. The fire and air elves shake their heads.
Farran then emerges from his path, grinning from ear to ear. His face is riddled with bloody scratches, and he holds a key that glistens as if it had been carved from an emerald.
“You found it!” Aira exclaims.
“Yep, wasn’t an easy task though. It took an incredible amount of discipline and skilled magic to unearth it from a block of solid crystal. Halfway through, with sweat dripping down my brow, lungs burning, I…”
“Yeah, yeah, we get it,” Azari interjects. “What happened to your face?”
Farran shrugs, sheepish. “The block of cyrstal may have been located underneath a squirrel’s acorn stash. Said squirrel was not particularly happy.”
“Here, let me help.” Aira kneels down and pulls some salve and a cloth from her back. She gently cleans the cuts.
“I wish I could have seen it,” Emily muses. “Anyways, two keys down, two to go. What does the map say?”
Azari snatches it out of Farran’s hand.
“Here at the birthplace of the changing world
Fire reforms that which is old and worn
Trials of flame perfect their sacred jewel
Concealed behind a falling curtain of gold.”
The fire elf frowns. “No clue what that means, but it looks like the next key is located somewhere in the Lava Fields.”
“That sounds…dangerous,” Emily comments.
Azari grins devishly. “Trust me, it’s one of the coolest places in all of Elvendale.”

I want to do a Legolas x Witcher reader thing but idk if anyone would be interested
I’m tore between making it a series or headcanons but I’m leaning towards series bc that’s just more fun to me lol
But like I need to know if anyone would actually read it bc if I post it and no one likes it I will get sad bro
#it would be like a witcher/lotr crossover + reader insert thing#so like just imagine ur favs from the witcher dropped into lotr-verse and they’re all lowkey pissed bc you keep sherking your witcher duties#for ✨adventure✨#this idea as been consuming my brain since I put the witcher on as background noise while I started reading lotr#and also a little bit of map meshing because that’s fun#oh and the witcher monsters would be in there as well#anyway main story would be Legolas and reader falling in love over the course of both the hobbit and lotr. might give reader a dragon too#house of the dragon has also been vaguely present in my mind#lucky for you I don’t know anything about GoT or HotD so I can’t incoperate it in here#if I did go the series route it would be a VERY long series#lord of the rings#the hobbit#lotr#legolas#lotr legolas#bilbo baggins#lotr aragorn#frodo baggins#lotr boromir#samwise gamgee#gandalf the grey#thorin oakenshield#gimli son of gloin#legolas greenleaf#legolas x y/n#legolas x reader#legolas x you#legolas thranduilion#merry brandybuck#pippin took
