Okay, so:

,Magician's Nephew x LOTR crossover

It's so easy to make this work.

Jill and Diggory have magic rings that transport them to the wood between worlds. In theory, the wood contains portals to every world that has ever existed, or ever will exist, right?

So the events of the magician's nephew happen. They wake Jadis, get chased by her all the way back to the wood, and then they run for the nearest pool. And rather than it being home they run for the one that happens to be Middle Earth.

Jadis still grabs onto Digg's ankle.

(Debating on whether or not to include uncle andrew. It does involve them having to go back to England in between their trip to the dying world, and then for some reason back to the wood. Maybe the whole lampost situation happens still idk. I do just love the idea of Jadis and Uncle Andrew traipsing through Middle Earth).

I have not fully decided which age to put them in but there IS something immensely funny about Diggory and Jill wandering around Middle Earth with some magic rings.

And also for some reason Diggory and Jill end up with one ring color, and Jadis (and also potentially Uncle Andrew) wind up with the other ring color, and/or there just aren't enough rings and somebody ends up with all the green ones).

They wind up separated and traipsing around looking for each other and/or trying to separate Uncle Andrew and Jadis. I think it's best if maybe Uncle Andrew and Jadis have the green rings, but aren't willing to leave without also having the yellow ones.

Jill and Diggs wind up in Rivendell (obviously I MUST include Elrond) and give everyone a heart attack because they have a funny little yellow ring that absolutely rubs Vilya the wrong way and doesn't match any Music in middle earth. Meanwhile apparently according to them there are Some Very Dangerous People wandering around with another set of weird magic rings.

I want Jadis to decide that she absolutely wants to be queen of Middle Earth and to try very hard to launch a campaign for it.

Also want Jadis to find out that there are other magical objects and to try and collect them all like Pokemon, and to be a royal pain in EVERYONE'S (including Sauron's) ass.

Anyway that's it that's the idea.

MGME But It's Just My OCs From My Hisfic Novel

okay to make this make sense you gotta understand that within the actual history post the book I wrote, two of the main characters get killed.

(the book is set during the very last year of the nine years' war in Ireland, where Hugh O'Neill, High King of Ireland and Chieftain of Ulster fought against the colonizing English army. He had convinced Spain to help him (Catholics vs Protestants), but the Spanish pulled out and Baron Mountjoy (British occupation) essential starved the Irish out by burning all their crops, and eventually Hugh signed a treaty after one final stand in Ulster. Baron Mountjoy smashed the stone of kings, where all the High Kings of Ireland had been crowned for thousands of years, and formally began the occupation, moving British colonizers in to take over the farmland in Ulster and press the Irish into serfdom.

ANYWAY. So that's the background. Later Hugh and his ally Rory O'Donnell go to Spain to try and muster up some more help, but they wind up actually getting sick and dying during the trip.

So my OCs are Hugh's wife and daughter. (Hugh was, historically, a terrible husband and I am an absolute slut for messy toxic dynamics). The OC winds up with Rory in the end bc he was historically a Really Cool Guy.

So naturally, instead of them dying later I'm like 'haha what if they just got transported to Middle Earth'.

I have not thought this through very hard but I would obviously like the Classic 'they wind up in Rivendell' because again, Elrond, obviously obviously.

Mostly SOL but I could also see Rory and Hugh going "oh, there's another colonizer who wants to destroy the free people of THIS land??? Fuck him. We're absolutely joining that fight."

I could see this being set in the second age actually during the first founding of Rivendell (and so Rory and Hugh and up in TLA) but I could also see them at Pelennor in the TA, but unfortunately that means that my OC mom doesn't get to meet Cel :( And I want them to be friends. They would get along so well.

Elrond, of course, parents both OCs (even though one of them is a grown ass mom) because I want him to. Also he hisses at Hugh. Because he's trash.

Alternatively they could wind up sometime in the early third age and join the war against Angmar and then we still get Cel. I'm not picky.

This one is more vague and I mostly daydream about SOL situations of my OCs in Rivendell but there's definitely A Plot in there somewhere.

Intinya, banyak pelajaran yang bisa diambil dari novel ini.

If you ship Richard and Elizabeth solely in a fictional context, then why would it matter that Baldwin says there was a possibility that Richard wanted to marry Elizabeth? Also the rumors of Richard wanting to marry Elizabeth were possibly made up by the Tudor to discredit him, and Richard vehemently denied he had any plans to marry Elizabeth shortly after Anne's death.

I found it interesting! My ship is fictional Richard and Elizabeth, but it is interesting that Philippa did not make it up from completely. She just based it on rumours.

In many hisfics, romances between people are just the author`s imagination. Philippa herself has done it, in “The Constant Princess” for example. There is no evidence Katherine and Arthur were in love, they were just married. Philippa herself said in the afterword that no one seemed to think they were in love, she just tried to imagine a “what if”. I was intrigued to read this was not the case for Richard and Elizabeth and that some people actually thought it was true at the time! Baldwin quotes a French chronicler called Jean Molinet. Maybe Jean heard the rumours the Tudor side spread, or maybe the Tudor side seized on rumours to blow them out of proportion, or maybe there was something to it at one time. Not at the time Richard denied it, but politicians have lied before!

It was simply an interesting thing to know because I liked the novels so much, and I said it on my blog because many blogs quote historians to say it is completely impossible. I wanted to show a historian with a different point of view.

okay so long story short, my hisfic novel that I'm currently querying agents for was almost left unfinished. I almost gave up on it.

The main character, in my grand fantasy of 'if this ever went to film' (as one naturally does), would be played by Alex Kingston.

A few years ago (five, six?), when I was on the verge of giving up and throwing the whole thing out, my best friend and (now) platonic partner bought me tickets to comic con, and tickets for a signing with Alex Kingston, and I thought -- what the hell, I'll bring a printed out copy of the manuscript and ask her to sign it, and then I can look at it and maybe it'll motivate me to finish the damn thing. I did not go with the intention of giving it to her. It never crossed my mind.

I was a huge bundle of nerves obviously. We strategically positioned ourselves in the back of the line in the hopes that we wouldn't be rushed along, since there would be nobody waiting to have their stuff signed after us. I slid the manuscript on the table and she just kind of looked at it, paused, and then looked again, and then looked up at me in disbelief

(it was a THICCC bundle of pages, all neatly typed up etc.)

And I had to sort of awkwardly, very nervously explain that she was one of my favorite actresses, and that I was writing a book, and that I had always envisioned that if it ever got to film, I'd want her to play the main character, and could she please sign it? It would mean so much.

She lit up and went "Wait, can I have this?"

And I was like LSDLAKHGLKASDHG IT'SD A ROUGH DRAFT???? IT'S NOT DONE??????

and she was like "My husband's a writer, I know how it goes. There! I have something to read on the way back!"

And she put it in her purse, wholesale.

Anyway it was mortifying and exhilarating, and boy did it motivate me to finish editing the damn thing, because Alex fucking Kingston is walking around in the world somewhere with the rough draft and I just can't let it exist like that in its only form. I feel like I owe it to her now to finish it and get it published. She's the whole reason I didn't give up on writing.

Also she is INCREDIBLY sweet IRL. Big mom energy. I love her. Also same Comic Con, John Barrowman got loose from his security detail and agent and was just running about the con somewhere saying hi to fans. William Shatner was also there, and loudly, flatly denying requests for handshakes. It was wild. Matt Smith was there too, and you always knew where he was because there would be a public outcry of screaming, squealing fangirls whenever anybody caught sight of him.

Dia terlihat seperti gadis yang lemah, tidak memiliki semangat berapi-api, tapi setelah melihat apa yang dia lakukan pada Blake dan anak kecil di hutan ketika dia melarikan diri, aku semakin yakin Cora dinovel ini adalah perempuan penuh kejutan. 3.    Name a fanfic/story you are particularly proud of writing.

Any of my longfics, really! Though even with how dear to me Stars is I think I am more proud of Boundless Sky overall. Stars is good, don't get me wrong, and I'm extremely proud that I have finished it, but even though Boundless Sky isn't finished yet I just know I am going to be so proud of it when it is. I'm already proud of it. I feel like my writing has grown a lot, and I'm doing so much with the plot and ahhh. I genuinely think it's some of my best writing to-date and shows off a lot of my strengths as a writer.

16.   Any ideas you wanted to write about, but never did?

Oh, so many haha. I don't know that I will ever get around to writing that Magician's Nephew/LOTR crossover AU, partially because it is just so unweildy and partially because the actual plot is very vague. But for now it lives there in my brain as a silly thing to think about sometimes. I have a lot of ideas about Elrond in Valinor as well, but I don't know that I will ever get around to writing them aside from bullet-points. We'll see. I just have so many big projects bouncing around in my head, and that's hard to manage when I also have a giant 7+ book sci fi series I'm co-writing with my best friend! (let alone the hisfic novel I'm trying to find an agent for...and the steampunk greek myth series...and the victorian hisfic novel...and-- you get the picture)

23.   Most memorable review/comment on a fic?

Oh gosh, this is really hard to choose! I think the ones I usually go back and reread the most are the long ones that really delve into the story and characterization and try to track what I am doing. The ones that pick up on all the little details and show me that the reader is really thinking about my work. Those are so nice because a) I can see if I am successfully leading the reader where I want them to go, or if I need to make adjustments, and b) it's just so satisfying to see people get that invested. I've also had a few where someone has said that the fic came to them at the right time, and has helped them through something difficult, and those I really do cherish. One of my goals as a writer has always just been to help people, because there have been so many times in my life when a stories saved me. So...it means a lot to me to hear that my work has made someone's day better, or was comforting in some way, or taught them something new.
