I'm a broken record about this but after so many years of being left with the Axolotl poem about Bill, it'd be so lame if Bill never did reincarnate, and it'd be just as disappointing if it ended up being something minor like a cicada (although it'd be hilarious if he reincarnated, immediately died and then reincarnated into something else).

And to me, the wording of the original Axolotl poem really does make it seem like the reincarnation itself is the 'redemption' and the deal is that Bill is basically passing responsibility to someone else, after he's done with therapy and like.... doesn't pass down all of his many issues.

(Plus I dunno if it's my understanding of reincarnation that's wrong but it feels that when Bill is like 'yeah let me use the reset button!!!', he's forgetting that its way different from using a continue and he's just gonna end up with the equivalent of a shoddy new game plus made for a wrong character/setting at best)

Meanwhile, we're left with Bill poem about Stan that's the same in execution (a cryptic message between space and time and by that I mean hidden on the internet lol), with the same purpose (an opening/lingering mystery for Alex to use when he wants to return to the series) with the same elements (fire, lies, redemption, home) and numerous comparisons to Bill's own philosophy on lies that's repeated again in the same website.

(Also been thinking about how amnesiac!Stan could sorta be thought of as a reincarnation of himself in terms of mind only. The same soul being hit with that reset gun button, a chance of a new self unburdened by the past, but via the power of love and family they went nope!!! we want you back!!!)

Either way, with the poem and the book's ending there's the obvious Bill+Stan connection that we're supposed to acknowledge!!!

Sometimes I wonder if my hyperfixation on benbaro is wavering, and then I think about when Ryunosuke says "But I thought you and Professor Harebrayne were friends?" and then Barok responds "We are friends." and refuses to elaborate. And then I think about how they mutually consider the other to be their best friend despite the fact that haven't spoken for 10 years. (Frankly? They're equally unhinged for that.) And then I think about how Barok chooses to prosecute the case because he can't bear the thought of leaving Albert's life in anyone else's hands. And then I think about the end of the case, and how oddly excited Albert seems when he says Barok "Was like a great demon, snarling down on his prey" (Freak. good for him.) And then I think about how neither of them can even celebrate Albert's acquittal because he needs to leave the country immediately for his own safety. And then I think about how Barok already had the tickets ready before the trial was even over. And then I think about how when it's Barok's turn in the defendant's chair his only comfort is knowing Albert made it home safe. And then I think about how, based on the curtain call, it can be assumed that Barok invites Albert back to London the millisecond he gets out of prison. And then I think about how Albert is so excited to return he boards the first trip available with zero consideration to his finances. And then I think about the credits walk, and how Barok is not beside the 2-4 or 2-5 casts, which is where he should be considering he's literally the defendant of those cases. Instead he's with 2-3. Next to Albert. Do not separate them. And then

anyway yeah fr i miss ordo theoritas. i miss the theory crafting i miss the hugeass meetings before/after Big Lore Event to brief/debrief everyone involved i miss the chaos and confusion and laughter and teamwork. i miss the cellbit, bad, and phil (key-keepers my beloveds) being the heads of the ordo working together to untangle the mysteries to the island. they were hardly ever on at the same time bc schedules and time zones (WAILS) but in my head they had so many late nights down in the evidence rooms like this

Sorry this took so long. I lost steam after drawing the little versions and couldn’t get myself to draw after it. Also this is their version of “pound it”. And I know a little more than nothing about MLB, but I don’t have much knowledge on what makes the other miraculouses. I stopped watch around when nino first got the turtle/tortoise miraculous a few years ago and haven’t returned to watching it since. I’m interested in knowing what you think would fit best for them, though. :D
