My friend just threatened me with a butterknife unless I post these pictures I took on the back porch. It's blurry cause I was very far away cause I'm a pussy but peak my dad rescuing this frog. The frog disappeared after a while, but I saw the snake the next day. So I hope it found another meal. My dad was trying to get it away from the porch he was afraid our dogs would kill it.

Anniversary Day

Started out in the garden where I picked a nice Brandywine tomato. Nothing better than a BLT for breakfast. I lightly toast some good bread and spread a generous amount of Dukes Mayo on both slices. I like 1 big slice of tomato with 3 slices of crisp bacon and just a couple of leaves of romaine. I smush it together and man, it is delicious. It’s so good I eat it with my eyes closed!

We sat on the back porch to listen to the birds and watch the butterflies but were quickly drowned out by the neighbors mower and the noisy cicadas. But that’s okay, it’s still a beautiful morning here and I’m sitting with a beautiful woman. I have coffee and Colbie Cailat on the speaker box.

Later plans include spa and dinner at a fancy hotel in Charlotte. (It will be fancy until I get there)

We both shake our head when we think about how long we have been married. Time flies!

Dear Gus & Magnus,

Gus went to the Calhoun's for dinner tonight. After dinner the rest of us hung out on the front porch. Magnus liked having us all to himself. He used his digger to dig in the vacant part of the flower bed and then mandated the rest of us join him for a game of basketball on the porch.

When Gus got home, he tried to take over the rules of the basketball game. Sibling chaos ensued.

To be honest, I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. Nine years! That's a long time to be doing this kinda stuff. A lot has happened since I started; people have come and gone, I've moved from place to place, and even changed and grown as a person. Makes you excited to see what comes next.
