@idwpublishing @tomwaltz1 @mooncalfe23 Don't look like nothin' but a ratty ol' comic short-box. Let me give some context: I've been going to the same #ComicShop since i was 8. My father knew the founder since the 70s. Good chance 90% of my books come from #HeroesAndDragonsComics here in S. Colorado. The buisness shifted buildings and hands a couple times. This is my "Hold Box" prolly roughly from the mid to late 90s from when the store was downtown, then the mall, then up north by a Lenscrafters to it's current location N.E. of town. The books piled up fast when I made less money and was in school- hence the hold file. In 2014 due to numerous rejections in industry I hit a breaking point & was disillusioned with comics. I visited the shop less and less, the already piled up old box piled up even more. If I did pick up the books I'd skim them and set them aside..was aware of the #TMNT and #UsagiYojimbo stories and characters loosely, but it was so hard to care let alone catch up to the books. They kept piling up ahead of me. My depression on them worsened. Something had to change. In 2018 when I lost my last childhood friend, I started to make some important changes. A longterm goal was to step-up and pick up the damn books, as much as I could, and actually take em home and read them. Get caught up with them!! The piling up was so bad, some books dated back to 2010!! It took a couple years but in 2021- I stepped up my game and was whittling down at the books getting my recent books & picking up old ones a little at a time. As of TONIGHT the short box is down to almost a third old books to pick up!! Adam and Andy two of the most awesome comic shop owners you rocked when you were in Gateway and you shine on Sandy Blvd. You are that blvd’s missing piece. @excaliburcomicspdx we met you first back in 2004. When you still had your vhs rentals. You’ve always been the place to go, welcoming and classic. Thank you also for hosting #WonderWomanDay we miss those days. @challengerscomicsconversation I was introduced to you through a friend when visiting back in 2012. Sophisticated, all in red, a gem of a shop in Chicago and so worth a visit to anyone who digs comics. I think also I met you Patrick at Graham Cracker Comics in it’s old location (the better location) and I had a subscription box there and you notes my letters appearance in an issue of #WizardMagazine @comics_adventurepdx I think Andy introduced us and we met officially when you invited @chibi_mike and I to #FCBD 2018 Your first store location is the dream for any comic fan, a place you can stay at all day. It might take a few weeks, but i wanna get back to just posting almost regularly here, probably mostly sketches of whatever holds my focus long enough to get something out. get fast at drawing sketches and just throwing stuff into a void. No real rhyme or reason for at least right now, but wanting to make more.

So honestly, no requests, but like anything that you’ve seen me draw or talk about, shoot me an ask, I can make a fun weekly thing to have a focus on a thing and maybe make a thing. I skip around a lot and I hate it but it happens

right now its skipping like crazy but I have focused on deadpool and I am sorry but I bought some books from my local comicshop (haven’t been there in almost a year, owner still remembers me yay. Talked to me more about deadpool and now very curious about some older comics)

also trying to lesson my screen time cause ha...its been really and stress is hitting hard soooooo...I got a new watercolor set? I’m gonna watercolor more and ink pens and all that fun messy stuff.

But yeah, a phantsona, all asks open, maybe start posting more, who knows! Today is just trying not to completely lose it cause my body hates me! And I need a nap!

Banette Mega Evolution

This was a old Inktober that went through a few changes. I used two Poke Dolls that are possessed, the gem that does the mega evolution,  a Banette stuffed doll head and Sabrina's Doll head. I thought these where better then just random doll heads. What do you think?
