My neigbours had a baby, which means I got to knit tiny baby socks! My first time knitting top down socks (I'm a toe up kinda person) and my first time using kitcheners stitch! Knit with 100% baby merino in gray with 3 mm needles, I used this ravelry pattern for newborn socks, the cabled version.

They came out so cute! They might be sized more for a 3 month old, but that’s fine. They have a combined weight of 15 grams. I think I will make another pair, this time the ribbed version without cables. I also did the heelflap wrong (sl1 k15 instead of *sl1 k1* to the end), but I think it turned out fine. I just made the same mistake purposefully on the second sock haha.

Ήρθε ο χειμώνας και το κρύο. Καιρός να μάθουμε να πλέκουμε πανεύκολα και γρήγορα καλτσάκια για τους μικρούς μας φίλους.

Βασικές πληροφορίες

1. Magic circle-Magic ring 

2. Μείωση-hdc2tog

3.  Το μέγεθος από το καλτσάκι μας διαμορφώνεται με βάση το μέγεθος από το βελονάκι που θα χρησιμοποιήσουμε. Για καλτσάκι 0-3 Μηνών μωράκι , μου αρέσει να χρησιμοποιώ βελονάκι no3,5.

4. Το καλτσάκι δουλεύεται σε κύκλους.

Ας ξεκινήσουμε

Ξεκινώντας κάνουμε ένα magic circle ή magic ring βλπ. ΒΠ1 (δεν γνωρίζω πως λέγεται στην ελληνική ορολογία. Άμα γνωρίζει κάποιος ας αφήσει ένα σχόλιο από κάτω) , κάνουμε 1αλ – 1ch , συνεχίζουμε κάνοντας μέσα στον κύκλο 6 ½ πδ- 6hdc , κλείνουμε με β – sl st στην πρώτη θηλειά του κύκλου μας.

Κύκλος 1. 1αλ - 1ch, 2 ½ πδ - 2hdc σε κάθε μια θηλειά για τις επόμενες 6 θηλειές, β - sl st στην πρώτη θηλεία του κύκλου μας (12½ πδ - 12hdc)

Κύκλος 2. 1αλ - 1ch, 2 ½ πδ - 2hdc σε μια θηλειά 1 ½ πδ - 1hdc στην επόμενη (αυτό το κάνουμε για τις επόμενες 12 θηλειές μας, β – sl st στην πρώτη θηλεία του κύκλου μας (18 ½ πδ - 18hdc)

Κύκλος 3-4-5-6. 1αλ – 1ch, 1 ½ πδ για τις επόμενες 18 θηλειές. (προσέχουμε σε κάθε τέλος κύκλου κάνουμε β – sl st στην πρώτη θηλεία του κύκλου μας , και στην αρχή κάθε κύκλου κάνουμε 1αλ – 1ch)

Κόβουμε το νήμα μας και σφραγίζουμε.

Παίρνουμε το δεύτερο χρώμα μας και ξεκινάμε να πλέκ��υμε από όποια θηλεία θέλουμε δουλεύοντας αυτή τη φορά σε σειρές. (Εγώ προτιμώ να ξεκινάω το δεύτερο χρώμα 2-3 θηλείες πριν από το σημείο που σφραγίσαμε μας έτσι ώστε να κρύψω το περίσσιο νήμα μου)

Αυτό το κομμάτι έχει 3 σειρές και δουλεύονται όλες με τον ίδιο τρόπο.

1αλ – 1ch , ½ πδ – hdc για τις επόμενες 10 θηλείες.

Στο τέλος της 3ης σειράς κόβουμε το νήμα μας αφή��οντας αρκετή ποσότητα για να ενώσουμε την άκρη της φτέρνας μας.

Σε αυτό το σημείο προτιμώ να το ενώνω με β – sl st.

Συνεχίζουμε να δουλεύουμε σε κύκλους με το αρχικό μας χρώμα.

Μας έχουν απομείνει μονάχα 2 κύκλου.

Κύκλος 1. Τοποθετούμε το αρχικό μας χρώμα σε όποια θηλειά θέλουμε (για ευκολία το τοποθετώ σε μια από τις 2 γωνίες μας. 1αλ – 1ch , ½ πδ – hdc για τις επόμενες 10 θηλείες , κάνουμε 10 ½ πδ – 10 hdc κατά μήκος του δεύτερου χρώματος. (για ευκολία κάνουμε 5½ πδ – 5hdc από την μια μεριά και 5½ πδ – 5hdc από την άλλη μεριά της ένωσής μας.)     β – sl st στην πρώτη θηλεία του κύκλου μας.

Κύκλος 2. 1αλ – 1ch, μείωση – hdc2tog για τις επόμενες 10 θηλειές μας.

Κόβουμε το νήμα σφραγίζουμε και το καλτσάκι μας είναι έτοιμο…

Knitting black baby socks from soft alpaca yarn. The lamp helps a bit but it is still very hard to see. I am almost finished as they were newborn size.
