Great •mini-quiches aux épinards • Voilà ma première recette dme à partager avec vous , je vous donne les ingrédients pour 12 mini-quiches ( réalisées dans des moules à muffin remplis au tiers ) – 2 œufs – 50g de farine – 130ml de lait ( possibilité de remplacer par une boisson végétale ) – 130g d’épinards cuits – 30g de gruyère râpé ⠀⠀ Décongeler les épinards / les faire cuire si ils sont frais Mixer tous les ingredients a l’aide d’un robot Faire cuire 20min à 200 degrés . Pour une recette adulte + enfants : multiplier la recette par 3 -> vous obtiendrez une quiche sans pâte aux épinards dans un moule 26cm + 12 mini muffin bébé . Being south Indians, Dosa has always been a staple food for us. It is a super quick and convenient breakfast item that can be paired with chutney or sambar. We introduced S to this when he was 6 months during his first week of weaning. It was a hit! Over time we slowly gave coconut chutney spread on Dosa, then with mashed dal and sambar and he slowly got used to those tastes as well. Ingredients 3 cups Idli Rice 1 cup Dosa Rice ((if dosa rice is unavailable, you can use raw rice)) 3/4 cups Urad dal whole 1 tablespoon Fenugreek Preparation 1. Wash and soak both Idli rice and Dosa rice (or Plain Rice) together and Fenugreek in a separate container for 6 hours minimum (preferably overnight). Soak Urad dal for 1 hour. 2. First finely grind the soaked Fenugreek adding little water. Once it's frothy, add soaked Urad dal and nicely grind till the batter becomes fluffy by adding water as required gradually. Remove and keep aside 3. Now grind the soaked rice to a very fine paste while adding as required little by little. 4. Mix both the batters and keep aside to ferment. 5. You can remove the baby's portion at this stage (if less than 1 yr old) and add salt to the remaining batter before leaving to ferment or do it post fermentation. 6.After 8 hours or next day morning the batter would have fermented. Pesarattu is a Dosa prepared with protein rich green moong dal. Serving suggestion: you can cut into long strips and place on the high chair tray or plate for the baby to pick up. We usually smear some chutney on top before offering. Our experience: we first introduced this to S when he was 6.5 months. Since we made it slightly thick, it was easy for him to hold and eat. He enjoyed it and was able to chew off the pieces, but honestly we felt he enjoyed the chutney a lot more 😂 Ingredients 1 cup Green Moong Dal 1 tablespoon Raw Rice 1 teaspoon Jeera 2 tablespoons Fresh Coriander Leaves Preparation 1. Rinse whole green moong dal and soak in water for 8 hours. Wash and soak 1 tbsp rice separately. 2. Rinse the soaked green moong and rice well. Put the soaked green moong dal, soaked rice, coriander leaves and jeera in a blender/mixie and grind finely by adding a little water. 3. This batter need not be fermented. You can use it immediately. If not using immediately, store in fridge. 4. Heat the tawa. Rub few drops of oil. Spread the batter thickly if making for baby. Add few drops of oil around the dose. Alternatively you can use homemade butter/ ghee. Once done flip it over and cook well. Let us know if you try it out. Aloo Palak paratha is a fun easy to prepare dish for your baby. You can serve it with hung curd or mashed dal smeared on top. This is also a nice way to incorporate spinach into your baby's food. Ingredients: 1. Potato Medium Size - 1 2. Whole Wheat Flour/ Atta - 1tbsp 3. Spinach/ Palak - 1/6 cup 4. Turmeric - a pinch 5. Unsalted Butter - 1/2 tsp 6. Jeera Powder - a pinch (optional) 7. Coriander powder - a pinch (optional) Preparation: 1. Boil the potato in pressure cooker until soft. Peel the skin and mash it well. 2. Add palak to boiling water and cook till colour turns dark green.Strain the water and mash it well. 3. Mix the mashed Aloo, Palak, Turmeric, Coriander powder and Jeera powder. Add 1 tbsp Atta and knead well. No need to add any extra water. We are looking for a consistency that is more potato and less Atta. 4.Sprinkle little flour and roll/flatten it to out thick (so the baby is able to pick and hold it) 5. Heat the tava. Smear the butter on the tava and once heated cook the paratha evenly on both sides. Do try it and let us know if your baby loved it. It's almost the end of mango season, but we had to make a mention of the king of fruits! Mangos have a unique flavour and taste that babies love chewing on. It is one of the highest food sources of vitamin C and also has good amounts of vitamins A and K. Serving suggestion(6-9M): peel the mango and cut them into long slices that can be grasped by your baby. Keep in mind that mangos are extremely slippery, so if your baby has trouble holding on to it, you can also roll it in finely grated coconut or nut powders for better grip. Once your baby develops a good pincer grasp, you may also dice it into smaller pieces that your baby can pick up and eat (optional). Keep in mind that nuts are known allergens, so better to introduce one at a time and in the mornings to better monitor. S loved Alphonso and Banganapalli. Breakfast update - We had pineapple oats and some fresh strawberries. Strawberries were BabyN's first food and an all time favorite too. I scooped out some passion fruit and topped it on oats for some extra flavour. From past 3 months she has been practicing eating with spoon and each time her skills are improving. Mess is a big part of BLW, you always end up witha world map in the floor. It is totally worth it. Our breakfast ended with warm bubble bath. Ingredients for oats: 1/4 cup rolled oats 1 tbsp pineapple puree 1/4 cup water 1 tbsp passion fruit pulp (optional) 1/4 tsp dessicated coconut (optional) 1/4 tsp chia seeds Directions: 1) Cook rolled oats in water till they are combined into a thick paste like consistency. 2) Add pineapple puree. 3) Add some passion fruit, chia seeds and dessicated coconut when cooled down. 4) Time to serve.
