Talking about H being a potentional new icon, do you think it’s actually possible? We live in a really fast times when nobody really cares about who was No 1. 20-30 years ago. H might has a potentional and he’s Sony’s current golden goose but there’s still huge risk that in 5-10 years there will be a new generation of male singers (and more than possibly not gay) and one of them will overshine H. So you think Sony might as well dump him and move on to someone else?

And also taking about HL, do you think Sony can still put a pressure on H to break up with Louis? Or he’s not a thread anymore because of bbg and so they let H live his private life whatever it is as long as he’s closeted and keeping his real long term relationship secret?

I'm not sure about the icon status. It depends. I think it's hard these days to become an icon if you're only good at one thing. Icons of the past has often been either exceptionally talented and unique or multitalented/multidisciplined, so i think that's why H is branching out to movies, fashion, beauty brands etc. He isn't on Bob Dylan level with his lyrics and he isn't on Adele level with his voice. So he needs to be accomplished in several fields. Like Elvis, Bowie or Cher.

I agree with you that the competition is rife and artists are fighting for the gps attention. As long as H keep doing the numbers he is and being a household name, and keeping and growing his fanbase i think he'll be very desireable for labels. I do think he'll struggle with becoming an icon, but that's more to do with him stunting an cheating his way to the top. I don't think history will treat people who've participated in PR relationships kindly. If you're talented enough you'll make it on merit alone. I also think his lack of social media presence, bad associations and lack of relatability will hinder him in becoming an icon. Times are different now. Anyone can be cancelled in the blink of an eye.

I do think Sony will try to milk H as long as possible and they need him straight, available and to be able to control him in order for his career to grow (their words not mine...). So i think they'll continue to beard him up and control L through bg. Sony can't actually stop H and L from being in a relationship, but it's a major inconvenience for them and probably cost them a lot of money.

I know @that-curly-haired-lesbian used to do queer readings and reinterpretations of her songs that I used to scroll thru and ashley norton did a pretty comprehensive breakdown of the taytaysbeard clusterfuck from a non gaylor perspective which as someone who was in the thick of that in high school I thought was pretty respectful and well done even if its kind of unbearable to watch and remember. Across the Spiderverse Agere Beach HCs

I'm so insane about them /pos (I plan/planned on writing a fic, but I've lost motivation so have the ideas instead)

Miles, Pav, Gwen, and Hobie decide to have a fun little beach day, but when Pav gets a bit too excited and Gwen starts to get a bit too motherly... Hobie and Gwen find their hands full with two Spider-kids who can't sit still. While I love Miles and Pavitr being an iconic toddler duo, in reality i think Miles is a toddler and Pav has to be watched 24/7 or you'll turn around to him with a mouthful of sand. Gwen is built like those middle aged white-moms, when it comes to going to the beach She packs a HUGE sun-hat, an entire cooler she makes Hobie carry for her, 2 stuffed tote bags. Literally EVERYTHING. Like, they had to go with a car (Gwen or Hobie drove) bc miss gurl brought like half a house

The children (Miles and Pavitr) are so hyped but when they get there, Gwen makes them each stand in the parking lot and she COATS them in sunscreen. Pav literally looks like he's about to implode from the stickiness, Miles is just mildly inconvenienced by it.

When they acutally find a spot in the sand Pav and Miles ran straight for the water but before they could move 3 feet Gwen was like "ah ah ah. Get back here rn" and made them help her set up a whole ass tent and a set of beach chairs for her and Hobie and stuff

Also, Hobie overpacks/is a mom just as much as Gwen, he's just sutble/silent about it So his tote bag, has like, floaties for pav, a paci/teether, snacks, sippys, bottles he has AN ENTIRE BABYGATE in the car, in case they need to section off a place for pav so he doesn't wander off (Pav can very much swim btw, he can swim possibly the best out of all of them, Hobie's just super overprotective of his baby) [The gate is less for contatining him when he's a Spider on a mission and more when he's reeeeeally little and they don't want him wandering off into the water without supervision

By the time Hobie and Gwen have found pav and brought him back to the their spot in the sand, Miles is running around with a crab in his hands screaming for help and saying he picked it up bc he was curious but is scared it'll "Bite" him if he puts it down

NOW MILES Is the most chaotic toddler ever Gwen was so relieved when she found out Pav was a regressor bc she was like "Thank goodness I have a second caregiver to help me watch Miles at the beach or I think I'd lose him" She turns around for like two seconds and Miles is like half a mile away from her looking for an ice cream truck.

Louis Tomlinson - LGBTQ icon

A moot on Twitter asked me for some sources, so I decided to put them here in case it was helpful to others. I don't claim that this is all encompassing or definitive.

There isn’t only one instance of Louis alluding to being a part of the LGBTQ community. It’s repetitive and continuous across years. It’s the cumulative instances that make it definitive for me. While he has said that he’s straight a couple of times, it’s been in writing (most notable on Twitter on 11/10/14, and detailed in this article: 'F***ing ridiculous' 1D Louis in meltdown after wrongly thinking reporter called him gay - Daily Star, which was notably the day after he wore this shirt in support of Apple CEO Tim Cook and a couple days AFTER Harry Styles said "not that important" in reference to a dream date being female--there's some debate as to whether Louis was in control of his SM that day, but I digress), and he never once adequately denied being in a relationship with Harry verbally. It’s important to remember he’s closeted.

While I personally think he’s been in a long term monogamous relationship with Harry, most of these aren’t about Larry. I think it’s important that both men stand as strong LGBTQ icons/role models apart from their connection together.

Nothing here proves anything about his sexuality or how he personally identifies. I don't claim to know how he identifies. This is simply a list of ways he seems to message that he aligns himself with the LGBTQ community. For me, it’s the cumulative moments that make it impossible to dispute. Anyone reading this is entitled to make your own opinion of what he means.

hello, how do you see babygate ending? I'm so tired of thinking, I just have crickets in my head 😭 I don't think telling the truth would be the best option

Best option? By coming clean. Yes, I actually think that telling the truth would be the best choice. If we take into account that Louis may have access to the best pr minds/lawyers, it would be so easy to construct a whole narrative where people could sympathize with Louis and genuinely feel empathy for him - something lthq has been trying to achieve by painting him out to be an underdog but it never really worked with the gp.

At the same time, I don't even think that they would have to worry about gp that much. They don't really know him, Lottie is more present in the british media than him, and he always had to mainly rely on his fandom anyway. That's why I think that he would come out of it pretty unscathed and could gain a lot if they decided to take the risk because:

1. Most of his fanbase doesn't believe he is a father anyway.

2. The people who believe he is, are also scared of him and would do anything he says so they'd probably just pity him for a bit and then go harder for him.

3. As this promo campaign showed, Louis' power lays solely in the fans so it's not like he would take a huge hit to his numbers AND I actually think that it would make them go up, as I'm sure many people would come back to the fandom.

4. The pat test way out wouldn't work people until he says the truth anyway, he would still be expected to be in that kid's life.

He has a huge background of him being a genuinely good person that they could fall onto. Obviously, coming clean about that would probably mean larry outing as well but you know my opinion about that - I think that they could milk it even more than they do now with all those fake relationships anyway and people love iconic love stories that theirs definitely is. But again, all of it would include hl taking this risk and actually wanting to change something about their situations. If not - they are gonna spend years at their big age making a circus out of their lives for what? A few more millions? Ever since Harry said that thing about wasted time it rings in my head all the time, because yeah, they are wasting time when in my most honest opinion there is no need for that. I fear they may look back at this period of their lives and regret it and I don't want that for them but again - this is not my choice to make and they'd have to take the first step. Or we end up in a situation where they fly a kid out for a few pics and put themselves through probably a mentally draining ordeal for nothing.

Well, i disagree with you. A coming out would be a very big deal. Harry is the number one breadwinner for Sony music. We also can't forget that larry has been a huge conspiracy theory for over a decade. Harry has the potential to make them a fuckload of money and become an icon. He's their golden goose.
