Il y 2 semaines, j’ai publié sur mes médias sociaux, une boite explosive avec de jolies montagnes enneigées de la Bolivie d’ou proviennent les alpagas pour bébé Sofia. Je m’étais inspiré de la splendide murale peinte par maman Daphné sur le mur de la chambre de Sofia. En accompagnement, il y avait des cubes sensoriels aux couleurs des costumes du carnaval d’Oruro de la Bolivie pour accompagner le tout. Holà, bébé Sofia !

Une tranche de vie, un peu d’histoire…

Le carnaval d’Oruro attire chaque année 400 000 spectateurs du monde entier. (20 000 danseurs, 10 000 musiciens, 48 ensembles folkloriques et 18 spécialités de  danses, etc.). Le défilé parcourt 4 kilomètres. Il est tellement festif et bien organisé qu’il fût inscrit en 2008 au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO !

Conception :

Ces jouets colorés et ludiques serviront à stimuler les sens de Sofia jusqu’à l’âge de trois ans.

- Perles à dentitions de qualité, sauf pour celles qui sont plus colorées.

-  Rubans agencés aux couleurs des tissus et des boutons conçus pour les jouets des enfants.

Puis avec le reste des tissus, j’ai créé une mini doudou appelée « Crinkle Taggie Baby ».

De plus, j’ai cousu trois coutures sur chaque côté des cubes afin de rendre le tout bien sécuritaire. Chaque carré est doublé d’un matériel récupéré pour être plus résistant aux futures dents de Sofia et à sa manipulation. Les cubes sont faits à 70 % de textiles recyclés, de retailles de magasins, de vêtements, de rideaux et même de dons et de feutrine. L’intérieur est une bourrure lavable et non allergique.

- Grand format : 7 x 7 pouces ou 17 x 17 cm.

- Petit format :    3 x 3 pouces ou

- Petite serviette : 6 x 8 pouces ou 15 x 20 cm

Looming-the Prologue

This is a "redraw" of a really early piece I did that was a sweet scene described by @fangirlofallthefanthings. OG Below the break

This was one of the first things I did with the sims instead of the mixamo figurines, and they didn't even have costumes yet (and the rig was totally weird especially with legs and fingers.) They also weren't scaled to the heights I hc them to be. The OG featured a #babycube as Telemachus because I didn't have a baby design yet either. I am still intensely proud of that loom and the crib, which I modeled myself.
