I Miss Anne and Nasiens

You might be asking... Winter tf you mean they're literally right there.

What I mean is I miss them

This aura, this energy they exude... I miss that.

Don't get me wrong, I understand they've undergone some character development and they've also got some moments after the time skip which is great. I love it but... after Percy came back, I felt a disturbance in the air.

I felt like they're now constantly attached to his hip. I'm saying this as a day 1 Persiens shipper and I don't mind Anne and Percy together either and it's not a complaint per se I giggle and scream seeing those tiny moments but a part of me fear that they might be reduced to just that. Percy's love interest. And I hate for that to happen cause I love these two.

As individuals they have so much going on for them besides being in love with Percy. Nasiens has this whole thing with his found identity and Anne has yet to show us everything she got and I hope OH GOD I hope and pray that we get to see that from them.

I want Anne to raise her rapier and assert her dominance again. I want Nasiens to work his mind and magic to shock his opponents and comrades again.

I know it's a bit early to judge this whole thing but just by seeing only a couple of chapters so far I can already taste it and I hope I'm wrong.

What if Nasiens wasn't the only one who was planned to be kidnapped ? What if Tristan too was supposed to be kidnapped ? What if he finally wasn't because Meliodas was so happy to have a child he slept in his crib the first few nights to be sure nothing happened ? What if Elizabeth found them in the morning and asked herself "why did I marry this man ?" and "how did he succeed in actually sleeping in such a small space with a baby in his arms ?"

Overanalyzing 4KOTA Chapter 142 instead of just waiting for more info (1/2?)

Honestly? I'm writing King's side of this separately, because it's about time I started talking about him here l and I know I can go on forever about him. That field of over-analysis needs its own house. I would go off about him first but then I'd forget his kids entirely and I don't want to do that to them... Speaking of--

So silly. So precious. Berte is so Helbram-coded and I'm sure that's intentional resemblance.

You know...I wonder which of their traits were inherited from Diane's parents. Probably the golden hair on almost half of them at least. Sixtus and Tioreh's pink hair looks more like a genetic mutation...unless their hair color is inherited from the leaf color of the Sacred Tree? That's possible too.

Diane seems less energetic since becoming a mother. She's settled down and has been shown to be gentle more often than bubbly, which was the impression she gave me in the original series. I'm assuming she hasn't fought since entering the Fairy Realm, too. She's put the stress of the Holy War behind her, and I'm happy that she seems content with her lots of babies. I wonder if she'll get to hear about Dolores once the current issues are over. I'm sure hearing she's Nasiens's adoptive big sister will be a shock. Diane deserves to know that.

The way Tioreh says this makes me suspect Puck is the one behind Nasiens and Myrtel's switcheroo. He must really love that "prank" in that case. Regardless of who was behind it, though, that's actually fucked up. A fairy trolled their own king by swapping their first child with a human, probably knowing exactly what issues both kids would be put in. I can't call this just a prank. I love King to death, but his people are their own kind of awful...

For this moment, let's glance back at how she reacted to that news at first.

Tioreh must have been suspecting this the whole time Nasiens was here, but this reveal may be the moment she started to seriously believe it, if not when Nasiens admitted to feeling healthier in the Fairy Realm. After this, she started to open up about her siblings more and telling Nasiens that he's like them--especially like Phao. All of this is stuff that Nasiens didn't know about since he met her two years ago. All of the tension in this family over Nasiens and Myrtel has been building up for so long...and right now we're watching it all cave in. I'm sure King and Diane had good intentions for hiding the truth, but hiding it's not working anymore.

And Diane knows it's not working anymore. I'm stuck on her asking "Is that bad for you?" Why is she asking that of all things? Is that what King and Diane were so worried about when they decided to never come out about this? Did they think their kids would be upset with having a human for an older brother?

Okay, but maybe that's not all that they considered. Maybe they got worried about how their people outside of their family would react to their theories being confirmed. If that happened, as unfortunate as it is, Mertyl would probably get more ostracized than he was. With that in mind, I'm sure his parents made that choice to protect him from some of the problems he'd inevitably go through. It's a nice thought that way, but this was still a bad call. They made too many assumptions of their own kids' feelings.

In other news...Phao was lurking... Now they're all gonna know and clear up this misunderstanding with their parents, right?

Anyway, I feel like I've written too much for one post, so I'll go on about the rest of the chapter tomorrow. Closing this part with this:

Ok, so Nasiens was taken when he was just born - what explains why he got healthy in the Forest of the Fairies; the air probably has some nutrients for Fairies and Giants.

Nasiens never got that nutrients when he was a baby, because of that he was show with such bad stamina compared to the others.

That's why King asked about his health. He and Diane probably noticed that Nasiens wasn't health for a fairy+giant hybrid (they would know, since they haved 7 other children); but, to a human standard, he's completely health (except for a low stamina).

And Nasiens said that he was sleeping fine, that's can mean that he did haved some insomnia - or difficult to breath, like Mertyl, but Nasiens only noticed when he was sleeping.

We know that Mertyl have some difficult to breath because of the toxic air in the Fairy Real. But, how old was he when he was changed by Nasiens? I doubt that a newborn human would be able to survive in the Forest of the Fairies.

So, King give the Drug of Yore immediately to Mertyl and, for what we can see in the manga, Mertyl was probably some months older (3-4 months older than Nasiens) because of the hair.

Maybe they waited for Mertyl be older before giving the drug, so they raised him in the human world before bringing him to the Fairy Realm. Or Mertyl was really some months older when he was changed by Nasiens.

Note: I wrote this on a whim so it may not be good, but please enjoy

"Sin, what's wrong?" Nasiens asked, wondering why the small pink fox stopped walking.

Lancelot shook his head and started walking again. "It's nothing, I just remembered something, it's not anything you have to worry about."

He looks like them, the similarities are uncanny. He didn't think of too much in the looks department at first, it's just a coincidence he argued to himself but as days passed by he's sure of it... Nasiens... Nasiens is his cousin. He's the child his Uncle lost a long time ago, an event that tormented his heart and soul to this very day. Sometimes, he considers his heart reading to be a curse simply because he can hear everything, he can hear all the things that he shouldn't hear.

"Anne should calm down now." He changed the subject as quickly as he could.

"Yes, your method might be questionable but it certainly made her let out all of those feelings." Nasiens nodded. "Besides, what happened is quite unfortunate, losing his daughter like that."

Lancelot stayed silent for a while before hopping into the topic that would hopefully lead to his desired conversation.

"What about you? We're told that your grandfather found you in the Gorge, ever wonder about your real parents."

"I don't think my parents care about me anyway, they wouldn't abandon me like that if they did," Nasiens answered, glancing at Sin and wondering to himself what made the fox so chatty today.

"You're so sure about it, why is that?" Nasiens picked up a sudden shift in Sin's tone, it's like he's hurt.

"It's just... I can't help but think that they don't want anything to do with me. I mean, they left me in a forest, they probably think I'm already dead."

"Nasiens... Ever heard of a changeling."

"A changeling???"

"It's a ridiculous 'prank' that some fairies like to play where they would switch a fairy baby to a human baby, the Fairy King banned this practice, however, there are always some thick-headed miscreants who are too stupid to listen."

Nasiens gasped. "That's horrible!!"

"I know." Lancelot nodded.

"But, what does that have to do with... Do you mean to tell me that..."

"Don't jump to conclusions yet. I'm not certain, but it's a possibility."

"But, the others didn't tell me anything about this."

"They most likely didn't think of it that way," Sin answered.

"Then, why did you?"

Sin deeply sighed. "It's your magic... Mix Venom, it makes you completely immune to poisons right?" Nasiens nodded in response

"Immunity to poisons is rare in humans, it's commonly found in fairies though, and also one more thing... your scent."

"What about it?" Nasiens fiddled with his fingers, his curiosity about what Sin had been talking about turned to nervousness.

"A faint natural smell of Jasmine, quite interesting for a human."

"It's just a hunch, but you may just be a fairy, my friend." Sin chuckled. "But, what do I know!! It's your choice if you trust me or not."

Nasiens lowered his head. "The fairies in the forest also pointed that out when I was young but... I can't be a fairy!! I can't even fly or have wings!"

"Flightless fairies are surprisingly quite common, and as for the wings... I've been told that the Fairy King was once wingless."

"Sin... what exactly are you trying to say to me?"

"I dunno, like I said it's a hunch, you're found in a forest filled with fairies after all. It could be that your parents just lost you because of this stupid prank, fairy or not."

Nasiens smiled a bit, he didn't understand where it came from but he couldn't help but be glad at the idea of it. But a small thought did cross his mind.

"How do you know all this?" Nasiens asked.

"I'm acquainted with the Fairy King, he's quite knowledgeable about a lot of things."

"Really?! That's amazing!!"

While they're in the conversation of Fairies, Nasiens asks Sin a few things.

"What is he like?"

"Who?" Sin turned to Nasiens.

"The Fairy King, what is he like?" Nasiens asked.

Sin smiled warmly which Nasiens never thought was possible. The fox hopped up and rested on Nasiens' shoulder. "He's the kindest King I know." Sin started talking.

Nasiens smiles as Sin talks, seeing him like this makes Nasiens look at the creature from a different angle, Sin seems happy and cheery, Nasiens doesn't expect the ever-so-serious fox to laugh and giggle as he tells these stories.

"You seem to be more than acquainted with him you two seem to be rather close, for you to act as you do."

Sin chuckles. "I'll probably introduce you guys to him someday."

"Okay, you don't have to go that far." Nasiens sweated nervously.

I caught up to the manga and I'm crying tears of joy rn 🥹🥹🥹

I had missed the last few chapters because I don't know when they release. I finally decided to read them today.

And wow... I'm so happy to see Nasiens! He is my favorite character with Percival so I feel overjoyed.

Another thing that makes me happy is King, Diane and their family. Kiane was my OTP when I was watching NNT.

Then I got to the part of "switching babies prank" and how some fairies can be genderless until they fall in love with someone.

I didn't expect this at all but it sounds like Nasiens is King and Diane's child. I'm so happy for them! I want them to be a happy family 🥰🥰🥰
