soooo imagine a lazy saturday morning with hyunjin where you both just wanted to sleep in and cuddle on your shared bet until late in the morning. apparently you had to force yourself to get up because you were getting hungry and hyunjin—being a clingy boyfriend—is sticking to you like glue, and be like “noooooo don’t go!!!” because he doesn’t want to get out of bed but you had to drag him up. he became a pouty baby while being clingyyyy maybe a backhug when you were cooking, a stolen kiss when you were about to eat, helping you wash the dishes but he put some soap bubbles on the tip of your nose, asked you to go out and the spend the rest of the day with him outside maybe stroll around the city, an art museum date, go to a café and watch him sketch/paint you~

Mornings spent sleeping in with the love of your life, all cuddle up and intertwined, were truly your absolute favorite, a blessing you didn’t take for granted. You were both busy people, with busy lives that accommodated one another like it was the most natural thing in the world, fitting together like the last two pieces needed to complete the puzzle which revealed your love story.

Hyunjin was a heavy sleeper, clinging to every thread, no matter how thin, that transported him to dreamland to rest a little more. Just five more minutes, that turned into ten, fifteen, which ended up stretching into half an hour on good days. On the bad ones, when he was more tired than usual, nothing could get Hyunjin out of bed before the afternoon rolled around. You understood – he needed his rest – but it didn’t make missing him and his bright smile any easier.

You never knew you could miss someone even while they were dozing off next to you, blissfully unaware of how your heart almost jumped out of your chest to slip under his shirt just to feel his beating, desperately searching for confirmation he felt the same. And he did, of course he did, how could he not when your name and sweet face were constantly spinning around in his mind like some sort of live wallpaper, making him unable to concentrate even on simple tasks?

Though right now, neither of you was sleeping, cuddling to Hyunjin’s chest with one leg over his lap as you caught him up on the latest work gossip. You’ve been awake for almost two hours now and for once, the universe seemed to be on your side as no sunray managed to peek through the small crack left in the curtains, allowing you to continue lying around in peace.

“Anyway, so the printer caught on fire and that was Kim’s last straw. She threw all the papers on the floor and then proceeded to plop down on them and cry. I felt so bad.”

Despite his empathetic nature, Hyunjin lets out a short laugh, voice still husky and laced with sleep as his fingers tangled in your hair. “How did she even manage to do that?”

“It wasn’t her fault.” You yawn, hiding your face in his chest briefly. “Jay used the printer last to scan pictures of his cat’s toe beans and I guess some fur got stuck in there and ruined everything.”

He slowly shakes his head, whistling. “See, that’s why I’m a dog person.”

Prompting your chin on his chest, you look at him with raised eyebrows. “Ok Mr. meows at cats because he wants to get into their good graces.”

“That was one time!”

You giggle and he joins soon after, staring deeply into your eyes until the laughter dies down and every thought leaves your mind like it wasn’t even there to begin with. Dark eyes dart between yours and your lips, subconsciously licking his plush bottom one and telling you exactly where his train of thought has stopped. Patience was not one of Hyunjin’s virtues, so the hand in your hair moves lower to cup the back of your neck, bringing you closer as you quickly adjust, both hands sprawling on his chest to help you lean down and finally connect your lips.

The kiss is slow, lips merging perfectly as neither of you is in any rush, content to take the time to taste each other. However, it quickly gets messy, tongues meeting and complicating the familiar dance, making it hot and breathy but oh so delicious. You’d be lying if you didn’t admit you’ve been waiting for this ever since he woke up, constantly thinking about his rosy lips and driving yourself crazy as whatever he was saying faded in and out of hazy memory.

Hyunjin kissed you like no other, like kissing was an art he invented just to practice on you. One he managed to master throughout the years of your relationship but couldn’t get enough of, obsessed with the idea of improving and finding another unexplored corner he could take over and claim as his own.

A cold hand slides easily under your top, gripping at your waist in an effort to bring you closer, almost causing your arms to give out. You break away from the kiss and Hyunjin whines, displeased but still helps you settle on top of him more comfortably, guiding your body as you straddle his hips.

This new position allows for better access to what you’re both desiring, with Hyunjin wasting no more time in bringing you back down again, capturing your lips. With both hands on exposed thighs, the shirt he gave you to sleep in barely covering anything, Hyunjin loses himself in the taste of you, licking into your mouth and lightly biting on your bottom lip as your hands move lower over his stomach, needing to discard him of the annoying clothing.

You make to pull away but his lips follow, causing him to sit up and move one of his hands on the small of your back for support, not allowing you to slip away from him. With a mind of their own, your hands quickly abandon his shirt and move around his shoulders, meeting at his nape to deepen the kiss and lick at his bottom lip which he appreciates by the groan he lets out.

You feel him everywhere, hands groping and squeezing every bit of your body in the exact way he knew you loved, turning you to putty into his hold. By now, his dark hair is a mess from all the pulling – your fingers needed something to anchor onto.

“Hyun.” You inhale deeply, his lips moving down your jaw, restless.

“Yeah, baby?” He mumbles, barely hearing you.

“Breakfast.” You gasp out as he lightly bites the skin, quick to soothe it with his tongue. “I’m hungry.” Mostly true, you’ve been lying here for hours after all, who wouldn’t be hungry? But also because you knew if you didn’t stop him now, neither of you would get to eat anything before dinner time rolls around.

Hyunjin pauses, hot breath fanning your neck as he slowly tilts his head to look at you, his wet and swollen lips distracting. He’s speechless for a moment, almost like he can’t believe you interrupted him, like a child whose favorite toy is abruptly taken away. When it clicks in his head you are actually serious, Hyunjin barely registers the way you peck his lips as he rolls his eyes.

“Wow, ok connoisseur of romance. What a way to ruin the moment.”

You giggle as he gently lays you down on your back, knowing he could never be truly upset, no matter what kind of stunt you pull. He was most likely thankful you said something, surely hungry himself.

Scooting towards the end of the bed, your feet barely get to touch the hardwood floor before Hyunjin’s arms circle your middle once again, pulling you to his warm chest without a word.

“No, don’t go!” He whines, burring his head in your shoulder in protest.

Your heart squeezes in your chest, pounding from all the love you carried for your other half, the man you couldn’t imagine life without.

“Baby.” You coo, softly running your fingers over his hands on your stomach in a way to coax him. “How am I supposed to cook us breakfast otherwise?”

Hyunjin sighs, squeezing you to his chest for two more heartbeats before releasing his hold and allowing you to stand up. When you turn to face him, one of his big hands has already brought yours to his lips to plant a feather like kiss on your knuckles.

“Don’t go without me.” He mumbles, pouting slightly, and you almost explode like a piñata, staining him with your love and adoration that will surely trap him in this apartment for days trying to get it out. Not like he’d ever mind if that were possible, proudly showing off and talking about your feelings for him to anyone who’d listen, right after talking their ear off about the love he holds for you.

So, that morning, you waddle together to the kitchen like two penguins with Hyunjin refusing to stop hugging you from behind even when you started cooking. And after that, spoon feeding you on the counter and forgetting all about his needs until you threatened to take away his cuddles.

He caved in immediately.

Part 16. Read my love.

A cup of tea cooling on the table is the only thing you can look at. You feel Jungkook's eyes on you all the time. You are nervous. Your palms are sweaty and cold. You hear your mom bombarding Jungkook with compliments and questions. She doesn't notice that you still haven't said anything to Jungkook other than a brief 'hello'.

Jungkook shyly answers all the questions. He's also happy to see omony Hyewon. But the main reason he's here is because of you, so he keeps looking at you. He sees how you avoid his gaze. He's looking at you when omonny Hyewon is distracted by a phone call from your father. She apologizes and moves away from the couch where you are sitting.

You feel even more tense. You look up. Jungkook is smiling at you and it's not an apologetic smile. It's his typical Jungkook smile, playful and provocative. You feel your cheeks flush red. Jungkook makes you feel uncomfortable. He have the confidence after all he's done to come to your house, sit and look at you with such a smile?

"How are you, baby?" - He finally breaks the silence between you. You bite your lip and lower your eyes, returning them to your cup of tea. Jungkook is attracted to this gesture and wants to touch his favorite lips.

"Fine." - You say and finally take a sip of tea to hide your embarrassment. It seems too obvious because your hands are shaking.

"I missed you." - Jungkook suddenly says. You can hear his hushed voice, filled with sadness and tenderness. His words penetrate your heart like a warm ray on a cold day. Your breathing becomes heavier, and your heart begins to pound furiously in your chest, almost painfully. The feeling is like hundreds of butterflies rising in your stomach.

Again, he was making you feel this way. You feel warm in your chest, but at the same time two parts of you are fighting: one part wants to push him away because it knows his world is too complicated and dangerous, and the other part wants to throw itself into his arms and stay there forever.

You lifted your eyes. You missed him too. You've missed him more than ever, but now it feels like he's off limits to you. It feels like you will never be able to be with him again. You don't know why, but instead of telling him that you missed him too, you ask him something else.

"Why did you come here?" - Your voice sounds cold. You fidget nervously on the couch. You don't want to be so cold, but you can't seem to do it any other way.

"I came to see you." - Jungkook answers as if it were obvious. "Also, it's okay to explain everything to you." - You hide your face behind your cup of tea again. You don't say anything because your mom approaches you. She smiles broadly, but when she sees that you are silent and you don't even look at Jungkook, she realizes that something is wrong.

"You're not talking much. It seems like you had a fight." - Your mom speculated.

"Yes, we did omony." - Jungkook admits. He's been calling your mom "omony" since he was a kid. She was his second mom because Jungkook spent a lot of time at your house. When you were kids, your mom was your babysitter. Jungkook's parents were busy at work, so Jungkook was with you every day until almost high school. In high school, he started coming only to visit. But he still has the habit of calling your mom "omony". "Y/N is offended by me." - You look at him. Why is he saying this to your mom?

"Daughter, what's wrong? Why are you mad at Jungkook?" - Mom asked with concern. You silently look at Jungkook with an annoyed look. He told you to come up with an answer. "I noticed right away that you didn't hug your best friend."

"It's because of my job. We celebrated Christmas together, you know. I had to leave Y/N on Christmas Eve." - Jungkook lies. Your eyebrows fly up. What a lie! The to mention the mafia and his kiss with ex, forgot?

"Honey, he probably couldn't do it any other way. Why are you so offended? But Jungkook-ah, boy, you should get more rest. Your mom recently complained to me that she rarely sees you. She must have been so happy that you came." - Your mom said. Jungkook smiled with a shadow of guilt.

"Actually, I haven't been home yet. I came straight to your place after arriving in Suwon." - You're shocked. He didn't even stop by his parents, whom he hadn't seen in almost a year? Was he that eager to see you?

"Son, the first thing you should’ve do is go to your parents. They are so missed." - Your mom gasps.

"I'll go right after I talk to Y/N. I still haven't give her a Christmas present yet." - Jungkook says in his defense. Your mom smiles slightly with curiosity.

"Then I think you two need to talk." - Your mom stands up and picks up the cups of tea. Jungkook smiles gratefully. "I want Eunok to see you as soon as possible. But wouldn't you like to stay for dinner? I'm did pickled crabs. It was your favorite dish I used to cook for you." - Your mother offers gently. You want to protest. Jungkook doesn't have to stay for dinner to eat your mom's pickled crabs. She can give him some to go. Jungkook answers before you do.

"Omony, really? You did pickled crabs? I'm so happy! I’m in time came to visit you." - Jungkook is overjoyed. "I am very happy to stay. I'm here for a few days, so my mom will have time to spend time with me." - Your mom is happy too. She is already excited to start cooking dinner.

"Mom, I promised you I would help you make dinner...." - You get up from the couch and walk towards your mom. She gently stops you.

"Honey, you need to talk to Jungkook. I'll start cooking by myself. When you're done, you can join me." - Your mom says and leaves you two alone.

You look after your mom, who has already gone to the kitchen. You hear Jungkook coming up behind you. He doesn't approaches to closer. You would like him to do this, but he respects your space.

"Can we go to your room? I don't think we can talk properly here." - Jungkook suggests. You think it's a good idea. Without answering, you walk towards the stairs.

"Mom, we'll be in my room." - You warn your mom and hear her shout "okay".

You enter the room first, leaving the door open for Jungkook to follow. Once inside, he closes the door behind him. He stands at the door looking at your room.

It hasn't changed and looks exactly the same as the last time he saw it. A small bed in the middle of the room. A bedside table next to it and your desk. The shelves around the desk are filled with sports books, comics, and sports awards. Several of them belong to Jungkook. He gave you cups, secretly dedicate these victories to you. Apart from his mom, you were his most ardent fan. To the right of the door is a wardrobe and large mirror in height. At window are delicate cream curtains. The room is cozy and you'd never say that a girl lived here.

There is a laptop on the bed, which you are already putting on the table. Jungkook walks over to your bed and sits down. You look at your friend carefully while remaining near table.

"Want to sit next to me?" - Jungkook asks, patting the bed next to him. He wants you to come closer.

"I'll stand. I've been lying on the bed all day." - You say calmly. Jungkook shakes his head and looks around your room in silence. You wait for him to speak. A light laugh leaves his lips.

"When we were at school, I used to come to this place so often. I feel like this is my room. The smell reminds me of those days." - Jungkook says. Your heart aches, that time was the best time of your life. Jungkook was there with all the time and was not involved in crime. Only sports, friendship, and precious memories. "Do you remember the time you hid me drunk from your parents? That morning I was running away through the window. Gosh, my mom gave me such a beating for not spending the night at home."

You remember that incident very well. Something happened between you that night that Jungkook doesn't remember because of the amount of alcohol he drank. It seems like that night you realized that you liked him.

Jungkook got drunk at a party the night before his graduation. You remember when a classmate of his called you and asked you to take Jungkook out of the house drunk because he was almost unconscious. It was around 2 a.m. You were reading comics and so you were awake. You sneaked out of the house and followed Jungkook.

At first, the plan was to take him home. But Jungkook turned out to be having, he could barely stand on his feet, and your house was closer to yours, so you decided to take him to yours. You had to take him quietly to your room so that your parents wouldn't wake up, and then send him home in the morning.

You remember texting Doohoon, hoping that he would answer and come to the rescue to take Jungkook home, but he didn't answer. You knew they were supposed to be together. Did Doohoon leave early because he had something to do?

Jungkook clung tightly to your body. It was spring, but the night was cold. But your friend was wearing only a T-shirt, a warm sweatshirt with a zipper, and cargo pants.

His body heat kept you warm. But the longer you walked, you sweated as you struggled to pull your muscular friend. He was bigger and taller than you. Your hardened body tired quickly because Jungkook was relaxed and leaning on you.

His arm was around your neck. His palm was at a dangerous distance from your chest. You took his hand so that he wouldn't accidentally touch them. He leaned his head against the crook of your neck. His hot breath burned the skin of your neck. Jungkook smelled of alcohol and perfume.

It wasn't far to your home, but the distance seemed too long. You stopped to catch your breath. Just a couple of minutes to regain your strength and cover the last meters to your house. When you stopped, you felt Jungkook move his head, which was resting on your shoulder. He buried his head in your hair and touched your warm skin with his nose. You instantly got goosebumps.

"Baby, you smell so good." - Jungkook murmured into your neck. You froze. He had never been this close before. You panicked.

"Shut up, Jeon. I swear I'm going to kill you first thing in the morning." - You snapped, desperately ignoring the way Jungkook's nose was touching your neck. He suddenly deviated and stood in front of you, hugging you. He was holding onto your waist and so wobbling. You looked at your friend angrily with raised eyebrows.

Jungkook looked at you with drunken, half-open eyes that glittered. He looked at your face from the height of his height for a few seconds, and then awkwardly put his hand on your jaw. He grabbed you a little painfully, squeezing your hair. You clicked your tongue nervously.

"Damn it, what are you doing?" - You said, unhappy.

"What do they see in you?" - He suddenly says. You're confused, you don't understand what he's talking about. "Let's see: nice eyes, small face, and plump lips." - He says, describing your face. He touches your lips with his finger. Your heart is beating like crazy. You look at your friend and feel embarrassed. Jungkook looks up at your hair and examines it. "Who are you talking about? And why did you decide that now is the time to discuss my appearance? Let's go home, it's hard for me to hold you!" - You protested, throwing his hands off your face. But the thought of someone liking you made you happy. His arms fell around your waist and with a quick movement, he pushed you against his body. A soft cry escaped your throat. Jungkook was so close that you forgot how to breathe. He was looking at your lips, and you were dizzy. You were screaming in your head, what was happening?

"Do you think they can take you away from me? I don't think so. You're my friend and they won't touch you with their fucking fingers." - You could smell the alcohol as Jungkook spoke almost to your lips. You listened dumbfounded to what he was saying. Something inexplicable clogged your chest. Emotions you had never felt before. A little excitement mixed with admiration. What is he saying? He has no right to speak so possessively. If someone likes you, he shouldn't get in the way.

"Jungkook, don't be silly!" - You say, trying to distance yourself from your friend. You shouldn't be standing in the middle of the road at 2 in the morning like that. Jungkook squeezed you tighter, not letting you move away at all. You expected him to be much stronger than you. You thought that if he didn't let go, you would be forced to hit him.

"Would you like to kiss me?" - Jungkook suddenly asks. He caught you off guard once again. Your eyes got big and you forgot to breathe again. You asked yourself if you really wanted to do this. You were afraid that, looking at your best friend now, you did want it. He was so handsome, even though he had been drinking. His lips were a magnet. But he's your friend! It's Jungkook! He's probably just messing with you. You recovered and covered his face with your hand, pulling him away.

"Jeon, I'm going to kick you in your bells. You're crazy! I would never want to kiss you. You're my friend. Oh no you're just an asshole I'm friends with." - You said rudely, holding his face with your hand. He laughed into your hand. You could hear your heart pounding in your ears. Why does this idiot have to come out on you like this?

Jungkook loosened his grip on your waist and you instantly pulled away from him.

"Gosh, I think I'm going to throw up." - Jungkook said in a tortured voice when you let go of him. You were scared. Jungkook swayed and went to the bushes and you heard him vomit. You almost threw up yourself. You waited for him to finish.

Jungkook straightened up and turned to you. He smiled and wiped his mouth with his sleeve. You grimaced. God, why did this happen with you?

Walking into the house with Jungkook, who was drunk wasted, was a challenge. He was unsteady on his feet and telling loud. You took him to your room and sat him down on the bed. You locked the door and turned to Jungkook. His eyes were almost closed. But he had a stupid smile on his face. You walked over to him in frustration and kicked him. He cried out.

"For what?" - He hissed, folding in half and rubbing his leg where you kicked him.

"For being a pain in the ass." - You said harshly. You had to do it because he had given you so much trouble.

"I haven't been in your ass yet." - Your friend says, and you gasp at the insinuation.

"Shut your dirty mouth, idiot!" - You growl. "Take off your shirt, I'm going to wash it." - Jungkook straightens up and slowly tries to take it off. But he fails. Losing patience, you come over and help him take off his shirt. You try not to look at Jungkook, who is just staring at you. After taking off his shirt, you throw it over your arm.

"Come with me to the bathroom. I'll give you a toothbrush and toothpaste, brush your teeth and wash your bad mouth. If I hear a single squeak from you, I'll drown you in the tub." - You threaten. Jungkook barely gets out of bed and laughs cheekily.

"Will you help me take a shower?" - He asks leaning on you again.

"Do you want to die?" - You are angry, but Jungkook just laughs.

You make your way to the bathroom as quietly as you can. You pushed Jungkook and close the door. You lead him to the sink and hand him a new toothbrush and toothpaste. While he brushes his teeth, you throw his sweatshirt into the washing machine and set it on the fast cycle. It should be washed in 15 minutes.

Jungkook brushed his teeth while trying to stand on his feet. When he was done, he took off his T-shirt. When you saw this, you gave a soft yelp of surprise. Jungkook smiled slyly.

"I'm going to take a shower." - He said loudly, as it seemed to you. At that moment, you heard footsteps in the hallway and your heart sank. You ran to Jungkook and put your hand over his mouth. You turned on the water and told him to be quiet. You stood there for who knows how long. You turned off the water to hear if the footsteps had stopped. There seemed to be silence. Suddenly there was a light knock on the door.

"Daughter, why are you in the bathroom at this hour?" - You heard your mother's voice through the door. Your blood ran cold in your veins. Holly shit, if she found out that Jungkook was standing there shirtless and drunk in your bathroom at almost 3 a.m., you would be in trouble. Jungkook didn't seem to care. He didn't react in any way.

"Oh, mom..." - You say loudly. "I was reading comics. I forgot to take a bath. I'll take a quick wash and go to bed." - You lied.

"Okay, but don't stay up so late anymore. You'll look like a ghost during the day." - Your mother complained. "Good night." - She said.

"Good night, mom." - You answered and heard her leave. After a while you heard her go into the bedroom. You let go of Jungkook and walked away from him.

"Hurry up." - You order him. Jungkook takes off his pants and you turn away. How did you even get into a situation like this? "Wait, what are you going to sleep in?" - You suddenly thought. He's not going to sleep on the floor in his boxers, is he? Should you give him your robe? Will he fit in it?

"I can sleep naked." - Jungkook says. You forget that he is naked and turn to him. His almost naked body makes you blush. Because even for the split second you saw his body, you noticed how beautiful it was. You turn away from him.

"You're not sleeping naked in my room, Jeon." - You were angry. "Come on, get cleaned up quickly. I'll get you daddy's clothes."

Jungkook couldn't wash quickly enough. You waited for him for what seemed like forever. You were nervous. Mom might come back again because you were here too long. Jungkook was washing behind the curtain and you were embarrassed that he was naked. You had to make an effort not to think about him like that.

You and your boyfriend were originally supposed to go out for a picnic date by Han river but due to it being too hot and the both of you being to lazy to walk or cab all the way there in the harsh summer heat you had to cancel. That was until your brother Jihoon suggested the both of you to have a date at home by the pool.

Which didn't sound too bad...you could eat snacks, talk and spend time together all in the comfort of your house by the pool! So you get quality time with your boyfriend while staying cool! You and Jihoon were currently getting ready for your date with Doyoung before Jihoon left to go out on a date with his own beloved.

Aera's

"Okay, everything looks perfect. I'll get going but please...no funny business. You and Doyoung are far too young." My amazing brother Jihoon said making me roll my eyes.

"Oh please, we haven't even had our first kiss yet. At least I'm not like you who made out with your girlfriend into the horizon...in the kitchen-" I said before he covered my mouth with his hand and patted my head.

"Okay, okay, I get it! No need to dwell too much into detail. But still, no funny business. I'm going!" He said and left making me roll my eyes as I went upstairs to my bedroom to get ready.

Since we're gonna be by the pool and will definitely get in the water I decided stay minimal and only to stick to sunscreen and a tinted lip balm. As for my outfit I decided to wear a baby yellow tube crop top and white shorts. While waiting for Doyoung to arrive I made some final touch ups.

Doyoung's

"Should I wear the short sleeve white button up or the grey nike tee she got me for my birthday?" I said as I held up the two choices by the hanger infront of Jeongwoo who just looked at me with a clueless expression.

"Does it matter?" He said making me groan when Haruto entered.

"Haruto! Help! Which one should I wear?" I asked as he took one look at the choices and went back to scrolling on his phone.

"The white one, If you wear the grey tee it'll make you look too desperate." He said making me smile as I changed into the white short sleeve button up.

"Thanks bro." I said before styling my hair.

"Are you finally gonna kiss her?" Jeongwoo asked making me choke on air.

"Damn, you guys still haven't even had your first kiss? How's that working out for you? No wonder she's so miserable." Haruto said without looking up from his phone making me widen my eyes.

"What? Miserable??" I asked, getting worried as he hummed in response.

"I'm her best friend. She tells me everything." He said making me panic as I grabbed my things and ran out the door.

"Did she really say that?" Jeongwoo asked Haruto who chuckled lightly.

"I was just messing with him." He said making Jeongwoo hit his facepalm.

After rushing to Aera's place 30 minutes early Doyoung rang the doorbell revealing a surprised Aera.

"You're here early-" Doyoung cut Aera off with a small and quick peck on the cheek.

"Uh..." Aera trailed as her face turned red.

"I wanted to surprise you, woah, you look really pretty!" He hyped her up before entering the house as if nothing happened.

"Thanks! Sorry, it doesn't look that nice." Aera said motioning to the pool set up.

"No, no! It looks so cool, thanks for preparing so much." Doyoung said before pecking Aera's cheek again making her turn red.

After talking and snacking, the two of them were currently laying on the floaties when Aera spoke up.

"Are we finally gonna address the elephant in the room?" She asked Doyoung who looked up at her cluelessly.

"The what?" He questioned making her roll her eyes as she splashed some water at doyoung.

"I know you're very affectionate but today you seem to be super affectionate, care to explain?" She asked as Doyoung straightened up quickly causing him to fall into the water in the process.

"Doyoung! Are you okay?" Aera asked Doyoung before chuckling at his flat hair that covered his face.

"Wait-come here." She said and paddled to him before fixing his hair for him.

"Thanks...Aera...are you miserable because I haven't kissed you yet?" Doyoung suddenly asked taking Aera by surprise as he stared at her with a serious but sincere look on his face.

"W-Where's this coming from?" Aera asked as he kept the eye contact, only blinking once.

"Just...are you not happy with me?" Doyoung asked making Aera break into a smile.

"Kim Doyoung, I have never been so happy in my life...like ever. I feel like I can be myself when I'm with you. And if you think so otherwise...you're an idiot." She said and cupped Doyoung's cheek before pressing soft kisses on his forehead and cheeks making him chuckle.

"But Haruto said that you told him you feel miserable because we still haven't had our first kiss." Doyoung said making Aera burst out laughing.

"What?! He said that?! But I never told him anything about that!" She said while laughing causing her squeal before falling in to the water.

"Aera! You okay?" Doyoung asked with worry lacing his voice when Aera began splashing him with water.

"Stop-AERA! YAH! So you wanna play?" He said making her gasp before trying to escape.

"Wahh!" Aera squealed when Doyoung picked her up and dropped her in the water and attacked her with a big splash of water.

After playing for 30 minutes the couple stopped and laid down on the marble floor, catching their breath.

"That was fun." Aera voiced out as Doyoung agreed before sitting up and looking down at her with a loving gaze.

"Thanks for today...it was so fun. I hope your brother won't get angry at the mess we made." Doyoung said looking at the big puddles of water outside the pool.

"It's fine! At least we had fun." She said before sitting up and leaning on Doyoung who wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

"Yeah..." Aera trailed as they watched the sun slowly start setting.

"I'll get going..." Doyoung said for the third time as the couple stood out the door of Aera's house, both of them not wanting to part just yet.

"Okay...see you..." She trailed as they both stared at each other with a fond look.

"Uh...yeah...see you at uni..." He trailed before turning and beginning to walk away.

"Yeah!" Aera said as she waved and turned to go home when Doyoung called out her name.

"Aera!" He said making her turn around as they stared at each other before Doyoung ran to her and pulled her by the waist before pressing his lips with hers. It was a short but sweet kiss which left the two a blushing mess after they pulled apart.

"I-I...love you a lot.." Doyoung stuttered as Aera nodded with a big smile before hugging him.

"I love you too!" She said making Doyoung's eyes sparkle as they finally went their own ways for the day.

I might have gotten too ahead of myself causing the pool date element to disappear into the back drop and focus on their first kiss instead but I still hoped you guys liked it!

Something I like: When people remember that Chay has gone through shit as well, and they explore that. And I’m not talking just the Kim stuff. Poverty, trauma, loss of family, nursing Porsche back after his fights, etc. When people let Chay have issues or problems, I am screaming into my pillow out of sheer joy. Even if it’s their own problems made up by the fic itself. Just please remember Chay has his own skeletons.

Something I don’t like: Now let me just say, NOTHING I say here is a jab at others, or me saying you can’t like this or you’re wrong. It’s my own personal opinion/preference, and you’re not obligated to agree or anything.

Now that being said, I really don’t like when people either make Chay just an extension of Kim, Macau, etc, or they make him some very innocent baby who doesn’t know anything about the world, thus making him seem extremely stupid and naive. Grinds my gears something fierce. Sure, he’s younger and doesn’t know mafia stuff that well. I will admit that fully. But he’s gone through shit, he’s lived a life that wasn’t always kind, and just because he had Porsche as his parental figure, doesn’t mean he is a pure innocent baby with nothing wrong in his life until Kim. And I also hate making it where Chay isn’t important unless Kim, or another love interest is involved. (Don’t like this in general about any characters, but still.) He’s awesome in his own right. Let me boy thrive as Chay, and not just someone’s brother or love interest. He can be both.

i basically have the same definition of 'soulmate' as @winterchimez ! to add on as well, for me a soulmate is someone who understands me as a person with no judgement, and accepts me as i am. it's someone, like ally said, resonates with you about anything and everything, and i wholeheartedly agree with this.

just so you know, we don't always agree with each other and that's okay! we've written essays about our feelings when our views don't match but i'm not scared to write and send those words because i have faith that we will always figure it out. i'm not scared to have disagreements because i believe in our friendship and how we will always figure things out. for me, that's the acceptance part that i was referring to.

ally just understands me as i am. it's quite hard to explain but i just know that when i tell her my problems and all, she does understand them genuinely. the words 'i get what you mean' is different when she says it and that means a lot to me.

now for me, opening up is a major fear and i've told ally about this. i'm scared that i would do something wrong and then we wouldn't be friends anymore etc. and so on. i doubted myself if i could even be a good person in her life. that's how scared i was. and i know this is so much easier said than done but being truthful, being patient and being kind to each other (AND yourself) are the keys to a healthy friendship.

and well, she listened, understood, took baby steps to make me feel comfortable, went a little crazy with how indecisive i am with my life choices (/hj), waited patiently whenever i disappear, leaves me on delivered (/j i do it to her too), lets me call whenever i want cause i have soulmate rights 😚 (we called for ~10 hours in a span of 3ish days and 9 of those hours were her being done with me 🥰) and ultimately, i just can't imagine not having her in my life 🥹🫶 ally has honestly been a huge contributor in my life and i love her endlessly.

hihi!! i thought this was funny and wanted to tell you😭

i was telling my friend about Goo and how i would absolutely marry him and they said that he needs their blessing. i asked what he can do to get their blessing and they said he needed to write them an essay about how much he loves me so, to entertain them, i wrote them an essay from Goo's perspective about why he wants to marry me with a 20 minute timer. it was 584 words in the end and I worked a miracle.

Moral of the story: Goo got the blessing😭so uhhh you can always write your way into someones life??

🥽 Park Seonghwa, as depicted in a (hopefully near) future Fallout/Apocalypse au.

i’m kinda mad at myself for not putting a little perk picture for hongjoong because both seonghwa and yunho have one and i would’ve used this one for him had i done it. either Small Frame (because it’s hongjoong lbr), Magnetic Personality or Perception. but enough about hongjoong!

seonghwa’s cute lil bashful vault boys 😭 i searched through so many to find the right ones and those two describe him the best in the story, if i’m being honest.

and the nuka cola girl because 1. seonghwa sees the posters and definitely wants to try the outfit on, and 2. he loves nuka cola. who doesn’t. don’t tell him about nuka-world 😳

i’m not really sure where his story is going but i’m excited to write his involvement with hongjoong and how their relationship effects things.

anyway, his little summary thang! (that i now realized i didn’t do for hongjoong…i’ve failed my boy 😔)

Vault life is the only life he���s ever known, having been born into it unlike the old world that he’s heard about from folktales that may or may not be true. It always intrigued him how they had trains that followed tracks built above busy roads and could see a sky that wasn’t manufactured or a display created using a projector. The dwellers that travel outside the Vault told stories of the wastelands, the radioactive lakes and streams, the abandoned buildings and homes that can potentially house super mutants or raiders, and the bright blue sky that seemed to be the only thing not touched by the nuclear blast. But seeing it for himself was as possible as a radroach being killed by a good wack to the hard shell.

A Vault is what he started his own family in and a Vault is where he found a new one when the doctor and his scavengers carry in a dweller from another Vault, the features of the man dewey from the cryogenic system he was inside of before he was found.

‘Military Official’. ‘Air Force Pilot’. ‘Captain’. Those are the words they used to describe him and it caught his attention when he knew he shouldn’t have been listening to their conversation.

It wasn’t until he seen him with the baby the doctor had brought to him, that he came to the realization that this man—Kim Hongjoong—had charmed him with just a glance and the smile full of relief and love that he gave his son when he picked him up from his temporary crib.

…and remember; Vaults were never supposed to be where humans thrived under the pressure of a nuclear holocaust, but where they were tested during the events of one.

i know for a fact that i can’t post the yunho picture without spoiling his entire story 😩 i shouldn’t have added that obvious of a picture to it but i did…and now i have to live with the choice. oh well, i’ll probably post it next week or something 💀

wow. damn dude. cant believe goal is officially done 🥹 its been a ride pupu — from me finding this story and you in those early stages, to you coming back after awhile to continue it, all the theories and long ass thought rants in between, and now this epilogue 🥹🩵 goal is not just one of (if not the BEST) smaus ever, but the process of it being written and made, and being with you and everyone else during that said process has been so much fun 🩵 i loved reading peoples theories on the next update and what might happen! like the whole ordeal when you teased the angst??? lmao and everyone trying to come up with their own theories on what it was, or whenever an update ended and everyone tried pitching what they thought was gonna happened next, that was all just so entertaining to read 😂

seriously though, i know you dont believe it when anyone says it, but goal is seriously the best 😙👌🏼 but please never take that statement as pressure to create your other smaus/stories to be as good as it, because every story is different and theyre never the same (cause if they all were, wheres the fun in that? it'll all be so boring reading the same stuff every time lol) and the way i like to see it, is that with goal being to popular and loved, it gives new readers a chance to discover you and the rest of your work. its their choice if they stick around or not, but at least they'll know youre an amazing writer! (im pretty sure anyone and everyone who has and will find you, will stick around to read your other works because youre that amazing 😘) so never stress or put yourself under so much pressure (or else 🫵🏼😤)

okay, now....this epilogue, its soooo sad to see these characters go, but its also so rewarding to see where they all ended up!

chaewon: my girl seems so much happier and lighter 🥹 and love that shes gotten close with her mom and jihyes parents! and JICHAE ARE NOW DOG PARENTS TOO (lovvveee that shiros in this lol and we stan dog parents and their fur babies 🙂‍↕️🙌🏼) and she really stood up to her dad 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 love how she understood the leverage she had over her dad and used it to her advantage so not only could she and jihye be together, but jihye gets to go to an amazing school to set her up for a great future (like yes queen use your power for yourself and your girl)

eunchae: grown up a bit but will forever be a menace and an annoying little sister (not only to chae, but everyone else too lol) also her teaming up with her older sis to threaten their dad about accepting jihye and helping her get into college?? eunchae the best girl 🫶🏼

aeri and minjeong: married and expecting?!?! tbh did not see that coming but i loveeeeee! and them getting married just because their parents disapproved and now forever tying their families together because theyre the sole heirs?? ✨bossass bitch move✨ and there wasnt much interaction, but they, chaewon, and ning seem so much closer now and lighter too. like it seems like their friend group as grown closer and seems more authentic rather than business like. and them accepting, understanding, and being friends with jihye, jimin, and the rest of their friend group is the redemption arc we love to see 🙂‍↕️🥹

ning and jimin: together and thriving 🥹🫶🏼🩵 and ning being the loved by jihye and jimins parents and replacing jimin as a favorite is a trope i love seeing and never get tired of (like mama yoo really said "jimin i birthed you, but i love your gf more" lmao)

yujin, yunjin, and kazuha: my chaotic babies 😍 not much to say about them but i loved their entrances into the scene lmao like yujin complaining about eunchaes driving and having to park hella far, to yunjin going to give chaewon a big hug but only to be pushed aside by ning, and kazuha being the perfect quiet angel she is through it all 😂😂

the parents: firstly, mrs. kim or should i say MS. IM 👀 am i trippin and reading too far into it or did she divorce chaewons dad???? papa and mama yoo be so wholesome and cute!! and the interaction and closeness between the 3 of them is so precious 🥹😭

jealous!chaewon returns and we cheered!! lmao but fr, i think one of things I'll miss most about this smau is jealous!chaewon lmao 4 years in and girl still gets hella jealous and pouty over anyone showing even the slightest interest in jihye 😂

jihye: my girl is a stanford grad 🥹😭 so proud of her 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 loved that you brought up jihyes insecurity of her and chaewons social differences — its so real that she still has it and those doubts of never being good enough (i dont think those kind of things ever really go away), but having her confess to jimin about her insecurities and jimin being there and being able to relate to her and help her overcome those doubts brings closure to it (like i said those doubts never go away, but for ending the story, it was a nice way to tie that loose end and also circle back to the whole theme of the smau in the first place) and SHE PROPOSED 😭😭😭👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 (freshmen jihye would never believe it)

overall, it was just a wholesome way to end this amazing smau! honestly couldnt have imagined a better way to wrap it all up! as always, looking forward to your next updates, youre the best pupu, and take care of yourself 😘🩵🫶🏼 (or else 🫵🏼😠)

all the characters are absolutely happier now and i guess that comes with the freedom they now have as theyre older and realizing they actually hold a lot more “power” over their parents than their parents do them (hence why chae’s group used their inheritance against their parents)

i also think with that freedom, chae’s friend group were able to discover that theyre a lot more alike than they thought they were instead of viewing their friendships as transactional or business related, they began to view as love for each other (which three of them dating jihye’s friend group members def helped with that)

i knew one couple was gonna be married it was just a matter of who and it ended up being winselle (i added the baby because i was like theyre young but also wealthy enough to take care of a child)

now mrs kim or ms im….yes she single and ready to join jihye’s parents relationship 😫😫😫

im kidding but yes when i originally planned for the epilogue i planned for chaewon’s father to accept jihye and come to the graduation but then i thought about it, would a man who has grown with a mentality and never had it challenged really change in 4 yrs, especially if his daughter is going to use their legacy as a threat?? truthfully no, unlike yoona whose beliefs were challenged with yuri as a teen changwook never had any of his beliefs challenged and im sure his daughters threatening to give up their places as ceo def wasnt a good way to challenge it

now that raises the question is it ever too late to change as a person?? well….that may be answered in a bonus chapter (maybe the one u suggested 👀👀) but if not u the audience can decide if he does later on or not

anyways a little fun fact chaewon paying for jihyes college came to me when i watched blue beetle when spoilers he and that girl got together and his entire town was essentially ruined including his house and she only paid for the truck to be fixed all i could think was “seriously?? thats it?? shes rich she couldve helped fix the whole neighborhood but instead she chose to fix the car…” thats when i knew chaewon would not be like that but instead actually use her wealth to help her girlfriend, or sorry fiancée

Definitely never going to finish SUNLIGHT which is a shame because I have the entire thing planned out somewhere and it was the brettsey proposal fics of my dreams. In my head it’s finished already because I planned so much of it out lol.

And then of course I’m starting to have doubts that I’ll ever finish Of Sun And Stone because I love it so much and I’m writing for it right now but there is literally YEARS of plot that I want to put my little chenford babies through in this AU and it’s like… the most massive undertaking of a fic I’ve ever had.

Would love to incorporate some French dialogue somewhere because I’m bilingual, or conversational Spanish idk. But I’m always wary of simply translating dialogue into other languages because I can never rely on my syntax or the translation to be correct. Totally support it though!

I think The Möbius Strip has to be one of my favs because it’s so short but so sweet. I love Lokius and what little good parts of the MCU are left so this felt like an underrated gem of mine lol
