Thanks for the tag @enigma-the-mysterious !
I have a fanfiction.net account that I have long stopped using, not least because I started disliking the site, as well as the character whose name I had used as my username on that site.
I had a Wattpad phase when I was 15. I haven’t opened that in years.
Definitely have an Ao3 account! AmbidextrousAecher
I do not like either reading or writing smut, maybe it’s part of my manifestation of aroace news.
I used to roleplay with someone who had been a friend of mine, online here on Tumblr.
I have beta read fics and fic related scenes for both former and current friends.
I have definitely published an unbeta’ed fic! Most of my early works in the Mahabharata fandom were unbetaed, as well as most of my fics for all other fandoms I have written in.
I have definitely written self-indulgent fics. A King’s Fortune is one I can think of immediately, though that one is angst central right now, as well as Let Not Sleeping Skunks Lie, which is the height of self-indulgence.
I usually write grammatically correct sentences, even in comments, something I have been teased for. No keysmashes, sorry.
Yes, I have left kudos on many fics twice, at least in the form of comments. @starlightasteria and her amazing fics are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
I do love me some good fluff sometimes!
No, I have not written for same sex ships. I don’t ship in general, with some very rare exceptions, all of which are somehow cishet ships.
Fan fiction is definitely a genre of its own!
Definitely multifandom. Mahabharata, ASOIAF, Jodhaa Akbar, Baahubali, Harry Potter, Hunger Games, have fics I have written fro them that are published, including two crossovers. I am writing a fic for the Thor (Marvel) movie, as well as have ideas for fics on the Ponniyin Selvan fandom, which I intend to execute. Oh! And I also have a fic for the TV serial Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, though most of that fandom would flame that fic, because it is very biased to the male lead, being in his PoV with a lot of canon divergences.
I enjoy research before writing! Have spent many happy hours in that.
If a mental outline counts, I keep an outline of sorts, yes.
Who doesn’t wait for feedback after publishing?
Haven’t received or commissioned art.
Have about 8-10 unpublished fics, mostly having Jaime Lannister in multiple universes.
I actually…like editing?
Oh, most of my ideas strike right before bed, in the middle of the night, or when I startle awake after a nightmare.
I don’t drink alcohol, tea or coffee, so those two are out.
Yes, I think I have a fic that deserves more attention. Darin is one of my favourite pieces that I have written, and hardly anyone reads it. (Understandable, it’s a Mahabharata crossover with the Hunger Games)
Yes, I hope to publish my novel series which is solely from Arjun’s PoV.
Sorry for not reblogging, I wasn’t able to, app glitch. Credit for the bingo to the original poster.
Tagging @harinishivaa @hum-suffer @selkiesstories @hindumyththoughts @favcolourrvibgior @chaanv

[ad_1] Actor Anushka Shetty’s intriguing first look from her next film Ghaati has been released on her birthday, November 7. It marks the second collaboration between director Krish Jagarlamudi and Anushka after the successful 2010 film Vedam. Anushka Shetty’s first look from Ghaati UV Creations, which is presenting the film, posted Anushka’s first look from the film on X (formerly Twitter). They wrote, “VICTIM. CRIMINAL. LEGEND. The Queen will now rule the #GHAATI. Wishing ‘The Queen’ #AnushkaShetty a very Happy Birthday.” They also revealed that a glimpse of the film will be released at 4:05 pm. The first look sees Anushka in a fierce avatar. With blood dripping from her head and hands, she stares into the camera while smoking a banga with tears in her eyes. Two nose rings, bangles and a bindi are the only other hints of what her look from the film will be like. The film’s poster hints at an emotionally charged tale without revealing much. In a press note, the film’s team hinted that Ghaati would ‘not shy away from the brutal reality of the protagonist’s life’. Fans react Fans couldn’t get enough of Anushka’s first look from Ghaati, with one of them commenting, “Dinamma rey… mass overloaded.” Another wrote, “sweety in mass avatar.” Some called the poster ‘intense’ while others called it ‘interesting’. One fan wrote, “The Queen is Back.” A fan even called her by her character in Baahubali, writing, “Devasena is back poster adiripoyendi (Devasena is back, the poster is so good).” An X user even called her ‘the real lady superstar’. About Ghaati Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi produce Ghaati. This is Anushka’s fourth movie under the UV Creations banner. The filmmakers called it a ‘high-octane, action-packed’ film. Nagavelli Vidya Sagar is the film’s music composer, Manoj Reddy Katasani is the cinematographer, and Thota Tharani is the art director. Sai Madhav Burra has penned the dialogues. While a release date is yet to be announced, the Krish directorial will be released in all south Indian languages and Hindi. [ad_2] Source link

Challenge Two: Bhumi
Great job getting off to a fantastic start, Baahubali fans! Let’s see if we can duplicate this smashing success for another fun week :) We are still open for signups, though, and feel free to join in as you please! Here are the categories for this week’s contributions–create as many or as little as you want! (Remember, you need to complete all four for a Hat Trick!)
Fic: Write something that explores an aspect (history, legends, tradition, arts and culture, etc) of any of the cities, villages, or kingdoms we see in the series. Note that this doesn’t have to match up with your official team (that is, Team Mahishmati can write something about Kuntala or Singapuram or even Mahishmati itself). This can also be in an AU ‘verse!
Art: Create an art or gifset that celebrates the beautiful settings, or design an unseen place (such as the aesthetics any of the characters might use for their bedrooms in a modern AU)
Meta: This week’s theme is all about cinematography, so break down a favorite scene (ie, camera angles, decorations, lighting and other non-script choices) and explain why you think it was designed in such a way!
Fandom: Play the Baahubali Fandom Comment Scavenger Hunt as follows:
Comment on a fic written in the last year.
Comment on a fic written before the last 12 months.
Comment on a fic about your favorite character or ship.
Comment on a fic that made you look at canon in a different way.
Comment on a fic that is not yet marked complete/is stlll in progress.
Comment on a fic with less than five comments
Leave another comment on a fic you’ve commented on in the past! (Cannot count for any of the other categories.)
Once you’re done with all seven of those, please send an ask to @teambaahubali listing the comments you’ve made. These will not be posted or made public - it’s more just so we can have an “official” way of knowing you completed the challenge!

Now that the CCW is wrapping up (the 23rd is Amarendra/Devasena day! Get very very excited!), first of all I wanted to thank everyone for participating and being SO GREAT :D This was entirely spur-of-the moment and wouldn’t have worked without all this hard work from all you guys!
Second of all, I thought it might be a good time to discuss future fandom festivals/celebrations/etc? Since people have asked, I was honestly planning on another official fanfic/fanart exchange in the vein of Marghazi in Mahishmati around Amarendra’s birthday (Aadi Amavasai on August 11 this year) -- I’d be happy to mod again, unless someone else wants to. I was planning on opening signups sometime in mid June, to give everyone two months to come up with their gifts and hopefully, holding it over the summer will mean more people can join!
But otherwise, here are some other ideas I had for fandom-wide stuff (besides the prompt-a-thon, which was super fun and silly):
A Remix Exchange - further definition and description at the link, but briefly, you get matched with another author and essentially choose one of their stories (from a list they’ve provided of their own fics that they don’t mind getting remixed) to retell, whether from a different POV, a different twist on the basic AU/plot idea, or similar.
Drabble Antakshari, where the rules are that once you finish reading a drabble that someone else wrote, you write another (which does not have to be related to the previous one in any way) the last word of that drabble as the first word of yours.
A Baahubali fandom challenge, not unlike a landcomm : briefly, where participants split up into teams (i.e., Team Kuntala and Team Mahishmati?) and then once a week, provide the other team with a list of prompts/challenges for fan art/fanfic (in the spirit of fairness, let’s say they have at least give 3 options--but they can be as wild and/or silly as you want). Each team has a set number of time for someone on their team to write a response, and are encouraged to brainstorm together. There’s....really no prize or point system for winning, except that everyone gets to laugh at the results and read more fic?
Has anyone played Fanfic Bingo? Basically, people come together, leave a huge set of short prompts, and then you get a bingo card randomly created and sent to you. The goal is to write enough fics featuring prompts (or putting all necessary prompts into one fic, if you’re That Good) to win!
These are just some of the random ideas I had! Let me know if you guys somehow like any of them, or have any suggestions about how they could be better? Or feel free to reblog with any other ideas that you guys have!
#fandom celebration ideas#baahubali fambam#any and all feedback is very very welcome#or you can say oh hush avani :P

Bolly Buzz: Fans celebrate #25YearsOfDDLJ: Prabhas' ‘Baahubali 2’ to re-release in the USA | Hindi Movie News
New Post has been published on https://jordarnews.in/bolly-buzz-fans-celebrate-25yearsofddlj-prabhas-baahubali-2-to-re-release-in-the-usa-hindi-movie-news/
Bolly Buzz: Fans celebrate #25YearsOfDDLJ: Prabhas' ‘Baahubali 2’ to re-release in the USA | Hindi Movie News
Tuesday got Bollywood in a massive throwback mode as ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ clocked 25 years. Also Sanjay Dutt gave an health update while Kangana Ranaut is sending out invites for her ‘bhai ki shaadi’ – here are all the biggest headlines from the world of entertainment in Bolly Buzz.
As ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ clocked 25 glorious years today, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and all their fans turned back time to relive the best moments from the iconic film. While SRK and Kajol quite literally turned into Raj and Simran as they recalled those glorious days running on the train station to running in the fields, friends and former co-stars joined the party by sharing some EPIC BTS videos. Fans, on the other hand, made the most of the trend and got their meme game going by tweaking some iconic scenes.
While all the lovebugs had a perfectly splendid time reliving the timeless romance, other SRK fans in a mood for action commemorated 14 years of ‘Don’. ”Don ko yaad rakhne ki zaroorat nahin kyon ki Don ko bhool jaana namumkin hai,” Farhan Akhtar tweeted early this morning. Following the director’s lead, fans flooded social media with some of their most favourite scenes, dialogues, fan art and all the other filmy stuff.
Another star taking over the top trends on social media today was our very own South star Prabhas. Fans of the star and the ‘Baahubali’ franchise seemed over the moon when they heard that ‘Baahubali 2’ will re-release across a handful of theatres in the USA to mark the actor’s birthday. Some die-hard Indian fans shared a bright idea of re-releasing the film across the country for fans here to join the celebrations.
Talking about celebrations, it is Kangana Ranaut’s Bhai ki shaadi and she is sending out invitations to all to join the party. The star, who has been sharing some adorable photos from her brother Aksht’s wedding festivities, is making sure the November nuptials are a grand affair. Meanwhile, back in B-town we have a health update from Sanjay Dutt’s family members. Buzz is that the actor, who is battling cancer, has responded “very well” to the medical treatment and his results have come out very good.

thoughts on the 2017 indian movies i watched
telugu:
gautamiputra shatakarni: balakrishna’s answer to baahubali. good but not amazing, i guess. idk i liked shriya’s performance but it was super small and hema malini was disappointing. it was pretty forgettable even though it was a hit.
shatamanam bhavathi: cute rom-com as sharwanand movies usually are. anupama parameswaran, i loved (she was amazing in a...aa too!), and the whole caste did a great job, esp prakash raj. also, songs!!!! nilavade, mellaga tellarindoi, and shatamanam bhavathi are my faves!!
baahubali: the conclusion: oh. my. god. this was even better than the first!! everyone was so amazing the songs are wonderful strong female characters!!!! i loved the movie and it’s very hard not to! also, ramya krishna. just phenomenal. this is just a huge milestone and rajamouli deserves every ounce of praise he gets as does everyone who helped make the film happen. #jaimahishmathi!!
radha: action love story. standard, but good time pass. worth a watch.
rarandoi veduka chuddam: i thought it was not bad but my family did not like at all. just another love story with action at the end. jagapathi babu was good and naga chaitanya looks really hot. rakul is goals as always.
duvvada jagannadham: masala film, but entertaining. comedy was good and songs were good. allu arjun looks *heart eyes* and pooja hegde is pretty much perfect. it’s kinda copied-ish from jr. ntr’s adhurs and adhurs is better imho but it’s worth a watch.
ninnu kori: loved!! it’s a rom-com with a twist. nani films are usually good and this did not disappoint. the songs are really nice cinematography is picturesque and the art direction really deserves a mention bc it was sumptuous! niveda thomas did a great job as did aadhi. the comedy was subtle but hilarious.
shamanthakamani: cool story, not executed well. forgettable.
fidaa: i’m usually a huge sekhar kammula fan, i even liked life is beautiful even tho it was just a rehash of happy days. fidaa though, unpopular opinion, i just did not like. i liked sai pallavi and it was a pretty movie, and a lot of people loved it, but i guess it just didn’t do it for me? i loved his earlier films- anand, godavari, happy days, dollar dreams (his debut) so i was super excited for this, especially since it got such rave reviews, and i really liked the vachinde song but i ended up being rlly disappointed coming out of the theater.
goutham nanda: again normal masala movie. gopi chand (SPOILER) plays both hero and villain and excels in the latter role. not surprising tho since one of his strongest performances imo was as the villain in varsham. don’t know why it became such a big flop tho it wasn’t that bad.
lie: good idea, entertaining to watch. i’m lowkey a fan of arjun (gentleman, oke okkadu/mudhalvan, drohi/kurudhipunaal, to name a few favorites of his) and nithiin’s movies are usually watchable. again, idk why it was a flop it wasn’t that bad.
nene raju nene mantri: i usually like rana but this movie was best left alone in the 80’s/90’s. watch it for kajal looking rlly pretty and rana looking rlly hot.
anando brahma: was a surprise favorite. it was absolutely hilarious. one of the best horror comedies made in telugu after prema katha chitram blew up and everyone started making copy cats. there’s like a ten-twenty minute portion somewhere a bit later in the middle that’s just. incredibly funny.
arjun reddy: kind of problematic but also so progressive and idk i liked it a lot despite its flaws. to start off vijay devarakonda is just absolutely phenomenal and so is the guy who plays his best friend. the best friend’s comedy to his dad about pee/poop is hilarious. it’s darkly funny, the songs are soooo nice (i personally love love love madhurame!) and cinematography is very well done. overall, a very well crafted movie that depicts the human condition, almost a modern day devadas.
kathalo rajakumari: i got bored and fell asleep halfway thru and i don’t usually enjoy nara rohit movies so this was a let down
jai lava kusa: cool story and ntr was really really good, but that’s pretty much it. very masala.
spyder: it was so bad and i was so sad bc i like ar murugadoss movies generally, and i like mahesh babu movies generally, and i like rakul preet singh movies generally.
mahanubhavudu: cute romcom with a lot of bhale bhale magidivoy vibes. seriously, a lot. but, worth a watch.
raju gari gadhi 2: boring, not funny, ending harkened to 90s. different movie references were fun tho.
psv garuda vega: a lot of ppl liked this but i wasn’t one of them. i got bored and fell asleep halfway thru.
mca (middle class abbayi): usually nani films are different and cute but this was total masala straight from 90s/early 2000s. bhumika was good tho and sai pallavi and nani were cute together.
hello: was cute and i liked it but was more like three different movies in one. ramya krishna was good as was jagapathi babu. some songs were catchy, good cinematography and art direction. kalyani priyadarshan looks cute but doesn’t act that believably and akhil to me doesn’t look all that amazing. the parkour sequence seemed unnecessary and there was no chemistry between the lead pair.
movies i wanted to watch but couldn’t: ghazi, andhhagadu
hindi:
ok jaanu: not as good as ok bangaram/ok kanmani, which is not surprising. shaad ali can’t compare to mani ratnam.
half girlfriend: boring but camera work was nice as were the songs.
hindi medium: loved it!!!!!!!!!! irrfan khan was amazing as was saba quamar, who plays his wife. a very strong supporting cast as well. it’s an extremely funny movie that satirizes the lengths parents are going to to make sure their kids get into the “right” schools. again, i loved it. definitely definitely worth a watch.
dear maya: i absolutely adore manisha koirala and she was absolutely perfect in this film. the overall movie was really good but manisha’s performance just stands out. she did a great job and the film would’ve been even better if it had focused on her character more. songs were also catchy and fun and the overall vibe of the film is super fun too. cinematography is a+. give it a watch!!
mubarakan: funny entertainer that’s worth a watch. ratna pathak is good as always, as is anil kapoor.
movies i wanted to watch but couldn’t: mom, jagga jasoos, secret superstar, lipstick under my burkha!!!!!!!!, a death in the gunj!!!!!, trapped, newton!!!
tamil:
maragadha naanayam (marakathamani in telugu): super funny black comedy, I loved it!! aadhi was rlly good and the supporting caste was awesome as well. totally worth a watch!!
movies i wanted to watch but couldn’t: kaatru veliyidai (cheliyaa in telugu; i’m a huge fan of mani ratnam so hopefully soon!!!!!!), oru kidayin karunai manu

Which Asian Country Has the Biggest Entertainment Industry?
While browsing earlier this morning, I saw this thread in quora
https://www.quora.com/Which-Asian-country-has-the-biggest-entertainment-industry
I am supposed to answer on the thread but my comment became to long it fits to be an article so I decided to post it here.
As a fan of Asian Dramas, Music and Culture. this is my list of Asian Countries who has the biggest entertainment industry.
1 INDIA- undeniable fact that INDIA really has the biggest entertainment industry. Aside from the main Bollywood, they have other regional entertainment industries(i.e Tollywood and Kollywood). Their market range is also wide: From Central Asia(i.e India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, etc) to Europe, America, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Japan and even shown selected Bollywood movies in the Philippines. They also create awesome movies, and since 2010, many are breaking their comfort zones, making eye-opener movies such as Every Child is Special and 3 Idiots. I also watched Baahubali The Beginning and Baahubali The Conclusion, which is actually a Tollywood movie, is also beautiful as whole, from the story, cinematography, performance of actors, down to every last details.
2. CHINA- We all know CHINA is really popular in its CHINESE MARTIAL ARTS Movies loved all over the world(I’m a super fan of Jackie Chan Movies since childhood) and with the Chinese Dramas getting large fanbase again and the Chinese Cartoons, I really believe they have the second largest entertainment industry in Asia.
3. SOUTH KOREA- I can say SOUTH KOREA just recently surpassed the Japanese entertainment industry. With the sudden boom of the KPOP Industry in the west, and large fan base of both South Korean Music and Dramas, they are at the peak of the wave today. Kpop is long time accepted in the west, (BOA Kwon, Rain, Wonder Girls, etc) but the hallyu wave rise so much with Gangnam Style that Kpop was anticipated in many countries after. But it is not just that. Gaming community is also a part of entertainment industry and South Korea has lots of awesome free to play games with lots of servers across the globe. Back in high school, I became addicted(yes, addicted) player of a South Korean game called DANCE BATTLE AUDITION. There are other games more famous as well such as League of Legends. Some Kpop Idols also promote these games. Kpop group BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan endorsed ELSWORD in 2016, with NEXON launching BTS based avatar(too bad its not available in my country). Collaboration drama between Japan and China/Taiwan are common.
4. JAPAN- JAPAN also has wide range market. With their Animes, Live Actions adaptations of animes, Japanese Drama, and Japanese Rock bands, they come in fourth on my list. Large fan base on both East and West, regular anime and cosplay conventions, Rock Music concerts(such as ONE OK ROCK), anime adaptations to dramas on their home country and other countries(such as China, South Korea and lately, even Hollywood) proves the strong demand. Most of all, Japan is great for making horror movies. Collaboration movies and dramas are also common between South Korea and also with China/Taiwan.
5. THAILAND- For those people who just know the mainstream, they might not have notice that THAILAND is actually in the scene for years now. Many awesome movies had became great hits in many countries not just in Asia. In my country, Thai Dramas came to notice since Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Mario Maurer. Back then, I never really joined the ride(as I was starting to be a fan of Bollywood movies that time) but I can say it is the mark of the Thai Industry sailing to other shores. Maybe South Korean Drama/Music fans already notice that some Thai Dramas are nominated in some drama award categories in South Korea along with Japanese and Taiwanese Dramas. Collaboration dramas such as Love and Lies(South Korean Actor Jung Il-woo and Thai Actress Mild Wiraporn cast as lead roles) which aired on Thai Channel True4u. Another is the Japanese drama Gata no Kuni Kara which Thai Actor Bank Thiti Mahayotaruk and Japanese actress and singer Mone Kamishiraishi cast in lead roles. Other than love stories, Thai Horror movies are also popular. On other genre, movies such as May Who? and Bad Genius are just few of the most notable movies in the Thai Industry.
6. PHILIPPINES- I’m not a total fan of PHILIPPINE dramas myself but I could not deny the fact that it is marketed in many countries as well. The Philippine adaptation of MariMar, for example was aired in Thailand, Malaysia, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya and Hawaii. Other dramas was also aired in Africa. It is also the most vital and economic cultural export of the country. (Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippine_television_drama) Some artist in the music industry are also well recognize. Example is Sarah Geronimo who won many international awards. Lea Salonga, Regine Velasquez and many other talented artist are well recognize abroad. There are also collaboration drama. The fantasy drama Sugo’s casted Taiwanese actress/singer Angela Chang as one of lead actor Richard Gutierrez love interest and an ongoing romance-comedy drama My Korean Jagiya has U-Kiss Alexander Lee as the lead role with Filipina Actress Heart Evangelista. Historical movies are great. I.e is Heneral Luna which tells the story about General Antonio Luna's (played by John Arcilla) leadership in the Philippine Revolutionary Army. The story and cast are awesome despite it's low budget as it is an indie film. The beauty of the film made it as the highest grossing Filipino historical film of all time.
7. INDONESIA- FIRST OF ALL, I WON’T SAY INDONESIA ARE MINORITY OVER PHILIPPINE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY. It’s just that I have not explored it yet. I have seen THE RAID MOVIE and its sequels and I have high opinion in it. It was an awesome movie! Music regards, I only know Andra and the Backbone and they also produce good rock music. All in all, I still have to explore this part.
SPECIAL: TAIWAN- YES, YOU READ IT RIGHT! FOR THOSE WHO GENERALIZE CHINESE/MANDARIN DRAMAS, TAIWAN IS A SEPARATE COUNTRY SO I SHOULD PUT IT’S OWN PART OF THIS ARTICLE. HOWEVER, AFTER THE STRONG WAVE OF METEOR GARDEN(I WAS AND STILL A FAN OF THE DRAMA, I HAVEN’T CHECKED ITS ENTERTAINMENT SCENE SO I STILL NEED TO LOOK INTO IT.
Anyway, this is all my own point of view. (It’s embarassing I need to find reference to provide information for my own country). This is unbiased opinion from me and I welcome any other comments and suggestions for other Asian countries to explore and new asian dramas and movie to watch.
