I don't know why so many people hate Rouge's current design so much. They say it's censorship, but in all honesty, Rouge's current design is vastly than what she originally had.

Rouge's SA2 model always looked clunky and awkward to me. Even as a person who loves big tatas, I never liked Rouge's SA2 model. Her model in that game looks like a poorly compressed human body or something.

I think Rouge's design looks great in Heroes and everything onward. The shape of her body flows more naturally and it doesn't look like she could fall apart at any moment.

I love how she looks in all of these.

Rouge's body shape in SA2 felt like it was trying too hard to be sexy. Rouge's current body shape has much more shape appeal while still keeping the flirtatious vibe.

(And the same people who complain about how Rouge looks now are the same people who draw her as a hideous bat monster so I kind of automatically dismiss their takes on these things lmao)

People have a bad habit of going "CENSORSHIP" or "WOKE" when a design they like is even slightly different than before

With how they complain about Rouge's current design, you'd think that they turned her into a nun who's always covered up. In reality, it's just sonic fans doing their thing of complaining over nothing.

If Rouge had gigantic tits in her next appearance, I'd be into it. But I see no reason to complain about how she looks now. And I definitely don't see any reason to claim that her new design is an act of "wokeness" or censorship.

I haven't seen anyone complaing about the shape of her body. The issue lies entirely with her newly covered back, which is impractical because it looks like now she wears her suit over her wings. Interestingly enough, it's the same change they made to Amy in Prime.

At this point why not bring back her Heroes outfit? :P

As usual, it's not something I will lose sleep over, but it's weird, unnecessary, and doesn't fit the root "problem", if Rouge's sexiness is indeed a problem.

i am obsessed with the winged warrior already, i feel like it will be a big part of the story going forward. the first person to have a solo cg seems to have a special focus in the plot (nia b1, valax b2) and i am super interested in it ! its type of character is like cocaine to me.. "her soldier, her will made flesh" YEAH !

nia's complicated relationship with aerin !! nia's little cabin with vampire and werewolf romance books !! nia and mc finally talking a bit about mc killing her !! nia fucking DYING IN MCS ARMS AGAIN.

"the odyssey" being the achievement pop-up for tyril's quest convinces me more about the party sailing back to the land of the living, and the boat in the cover is not subtle lol

Azriel’s wings beat against the chilled wind, still bitter cold even in the afternoon. Though nothing could compare to the frozen tundra of the Illyrian Steppes in the middle of winter, of which, he was well accustomed.

But the further south he flew, the warmer it got. Slightly. It was still by definition winter on the island where Rosehall stood, but it didn’t get nearly as cold as Velaris.

It was only a week after Solstice, a week since his brother laid the order down on him and Azriel was struggling with himself. He did not understand the motives, could not control his anger at Rhys for what he did. And for that reason, he needed to leave.

For a little while, that is.

Truthfully, he needed his mother. He needed her wisdom and advice.

Over five centuries old and the feared Shadowsinger of the Night Court still sought his mother when things turned sour. How utterly pathetic.

I'm bored, so that's my vision on Nikolai (reboot ver.) Just random things without much depth and explanation

Was born on August 2, 1971 in Russia, in a small town near the military base. His father is Russian, capitan of tank division, his mother is from Tatarstan, she was a military nurse when she met her future husband.

Nikolai is a firstborn, has a younger sister (Anna) and had a brother (Miron), who was killed in 2005

Nikolai knows Russian (native) Tatar ( kinda-sorta native, C1) English (C1) Georgian (B2) Arabic (B1)

His mom begged her husband to name their first child a Tatar name, so her side of the family would be satisfied. I won't tell you what name they had picked. But it sure starts with N

He's an Orthodox Christian, so his younger siblings, was baptized in the name of Saint Nicholas, that's where "Nikolai" is from

His family moved a lot from base to base, according to where his father was being deployed. Nik changed at least 3 schools during his childhood, he made few friends here and there, still visits them on leaves when he has time

Was good at languages, physics and math in school. Had been reading about aviation a lot in his free time.

He haven't got into uni, instead got drafted into the USSR army, was serving without a fuss until he expressed dissatisfaction with the foreign policy of the USSR, and was recruited by MI6 as an informant. His father already retired at that point. That time he really struggled to keep in touch with his family.

In 2000 his sister married her fiance from Georgia, and in the same year Nik became an uncle to their firstborn son Mikel Mzechvili, in 2001 his niece Nino was born, then in 2004 - Gogi (my oc). In 2005 Natela was born and the last one to come was Davit, in 2006. All of the kids were born in Georgia, but often visited their grandparents in Russia

Just two days after Natela was born, Miron was killed at his friend's wedding. Nikolai couldn't make it to his funeral, because of the work overseas, this still haunts him.

After retiring from the army, he became an "adjuster" with valuable connections at the highest level and in the criminal world.

He met Laswell through MI-6 on one of the missions,she then introduced him to Price after some time that Nik and Kate spent working together. He was in his mid-20 at that time

Nikolai took Gogi under his wing when he got kicked out of uni, but was too scared to be drafted into the Russian army (because at that time he was a Russian citizen for a studying purpose). Nik, on the other hand, was scared that Makarov might get to him through his nephew, so after some time spent on bureaucracy he enlisted Gogi in UK army.

Knows a lot of "new Russians" Got a lot of intel and financial support from them (like, where the hell he would get a damn TANK or a helicopter??? Exactly!)

Podcasts for intermediate/advanced Norwegian listening practice

Finding Norwegian podcasts has always been a bit daunting for me, because I don't listen to a lot of podcasts in general, but over the past weeks I've discovered some that I really enjoy!

1. Lær norsk nå!

This podcast (norsknivå B1 – B2) cover all sorts of interesting social, cultural and political topics - coffee, the Cold War, right-wing populism in Norway, feminism, Sámi history, etc - as well as aspects of the Norwegian language 🔡 You can listen to all the episodes and find transcripts for them (starting with episode 5) here. The host, Marius, is originally from Nærbø (in Rogaland, near Stavanger), and speaks in both his dialect and also standard østnorsk depending on the episode.

2. Relax With Slow Norwegian

I'm a tinglehead (someone who loves listening to ASMR ✨), so I was super excited to find this podcast and Lene's YouTube channel! She speaks bergensk and has lots of great episodes and videos dedicated to learning Norwegian centered around a specific topic.

3. Norskpodden

An awesome podcast (norsknivå B1 – B2) with episodes ranging from grammar to salary negotiation to the the history of queer rights in Norway. Episodes and transcripts can be found here. I find the transcripts helpful, because the host Camila speaks at a quite natural pace (so it gives me a huge confidence boost whenever I can understand most of an episode without the transcripts 😎).

4. Nylig Norsk

This is a fun little podcast created by students at the University of Bergen. They speak a lot slower than the other podcasts here, which sounds a bit unnatural, but that makes it quite easy to understand (norsknivå A2-B1). The topics are engaging and there's transcripts here for each episode. I like the "city-trip"/regional episodes, and it felt really cool having been to some of the places they talked about! ✈️

5. Språktalk

This podcast isn't aimed at people learning Norwegian, which is good practice for listening to natural-sounding dialogue. The episodes are all about languages and linguistic topics, so if that's your cup of tea I highly suggest giving it a listen. They had a German guest for one episode who spoke Norwegian sooooo well, it gave me hope for myself 😂

6. Forklart

Forklart, another podcast that isn't aimed at people learning Norwegian, takes a topic from the news (sometimes domestic news, but more often international news) and breaks it down into a compact 15-minute episode 🗞 There is one episode every day, so if you're interested in keeping up with current political events in Norwegian, this is a great podcast to listen to! Although keep in mind that the podcast is run by Aftenposten (as is Språktalk), which has historically been a centre-right newspaper.

Hello! This blog has existed for too long without an introduction. I figure one is probably not a terrible idea.

Name: just call me Bass, moots know my real name

Age: minor

Pronouns: she/her/ella/היא

Languages: English, learning Spanish (I'd like to think I'm at a B2, but I think that might be optimistic) and Hebrew (definitely not better than A1)

Hobbies: playing bass (duh), reading, drawing, bothering my dog, praying, watching my shows, making lists.

Interests: Infectious disease, Judaism, Zionism, bugs (bees, wasps, ants, mosquitos, and spiders, mostly. I hate mosquitos, but vector-borne illnesses are fascinating), geography, languages.

Fandoms: The West Wing (Toby my beloved), Les Miserables (I actually enjoyed Russell Crowe's Javert), Pride and Prejudice (Lizzie Bennet my beloved), and House (Chase my beloved).

Fun facts: I know the capital of every country in the world (if given a piece of paper, I could list off every country and its capital from memory, ordered non-alphabetically by continent. I do this when I'm bored). I have at least four mandibular torii. People not using the Oxford comma sends me into a fit of blind rage (that's an exaggeration, but I am passionate about the virtues of the Oxford comma). I named this blog by looking around my room and attempting random objects until tumblr said the username was free.

blades 3 ch02 thoughts (spoilers)

YOU ARE NOW PLAYING AS KADE EVERYONE CHEERED. the way he wont give up on mc like mc didnt him, i love that!! also his comments on the winged warrior make me think that the party will come back/resurrect/arent actually dead. i find it hard to believe they'd put a scene like this and not have them come back.

aerin didn't come back in my playthrough and with how b3 is shaping up so far wrt actually talking about emotions (which b2 really lacked) i think i actually prefer it this way. i think the discussions they could have about what he did would be handled much better than it was in b2. also, funny valax and aerin scenes.

i like this little bit on possible differences between elven and human Light theology. makes sense too i guess because nia fully expects to be cremated while elves still have crypts.
