KID vs Amuro!
He's still angry about the Heiji incident. Kaito, you need to kiss him to make it up to him.
Azusa: I'm not dating him, he's gay.
Sonoko, who does not recognize gay people: Sure~
God, people are so gross though. Azusa is just his coworker and she gets the hate because how dare she be friends with a hot guy. Akai come in and make out with Amuro and show them who the real competition is.
But lol, Shinichi really is Amuro and Akai's adopted son at this point. He's held both of their hands pretending to be so now.
IT'S TIME FOR KAITO TO GET JEALOUS!
Ran and Sonoko: You could go toe to toe with KID
Kaito: Yeah right.
Shinichi: No, you really could.
Kaito: This bitch-I'll show him!
The fact that Kaito breaks one of the principles of magic just because he got jealous Shinichi complimented Amuro is so goddamn funny.
He certainly succeeded in getting Shinichi's attention~
We all know that's not why, Shinichi. But you are dense so I'll forgive you.
He's such a petty asshole T-T Or maybe he's preparing his shotgun speech for Shinichi's future boyfriend. Both, definitely both. He got shown up in front of his child and now he knows it's the guy his son has got a massive crush on. He needs to make sure he's appropriate for him (I'm delusional).
...Poor Kazami.
Jirokichi's new voice is weird. I need a while to get used to it.
Do they want to kill someone with this trap?!
Kazami: Why are you so interested in KID?
Amuro, not wanting to reveal the truth: ...I have my reasons.
LOOK AT SHINICHI IN THE BACKGROUND. YOU KNOW HE KNOWS THIS IS KID AND HE DOES. NOT. SAY. ANYTHING.
Shinichi just wants to see Amuro and Kaito go at each other. He's even asking leading questions that both of them will hear (though you know that Kaito already knows) just to watch their responses.
Kaito has proven to pretend to be a child before, quite successfully. But yeah, I doubt he could pull it off here.
Lol they took the time to wipe off the paint before opening the case.
Shinichi with his dads and Shinichi with his boyfriend! Also I love it when they put Kaito and Shinichi over significant lyrics.
Shinichi, that really isn't the only reason he provoked you.
I love how Shinichi throws him everyone a bone and goes: "Yeah, I know where he is" but only after they've all despaired about him disappearing.
Poor Azusa, she just wanted a picture. Kaito almost gave into her too.
Awww, Shinichi warned his boyfriend before he got crushed to death by the police.
I love how Kaito asks Shinichi how he figured him out. He loves to let him show off his reasoning.
Kaito is a pretty princess! I love how he put the Queen's Bangs on his hat. He deserves to look pretty.
OH MY GOD KAITO JUST TELL EVERYONE HOW JEALOUS YOU ARE!
I love when we get to see the Kaito who isn't as "cool and know it all" as he's perceived.
Amuro: Have we met?
Kaito: Yeah, we've met, you almost killed me.
He approves.
And at least Amuro sort of paid back Kazami T-T

Don’t know about Azusa but as someone who’s favourite boy is Subaru, I can confirm that he’s no better than any of his brothers in terms of respecting women lol. Even in a fairly new game like lost eden, where all of them are intended to be nicer, he harasses Yui in Kou’s route and forces himself on her, despite her telling him "no".
I don’t see any point in playing moral police here. Rejet will always let them keep some 🚩 no matter how many games pass. No one has to excuse their behaviour, just enjoy this series of games in peace.
// Yup, I agree.
Moreover, you made me remember that LE scene, and I’m sorry, I know it’s not supposed to be funny but I always find it so UNCOMFORTABLY hilarious.
So many things happen in such a short scene and Subaru’s “behave!” made me imagine Yui as a disobedient dog, lol.

I- Azusa, why, why?!
She asks him if he prefers bread for breakfast (as in, not something most Japanese would do) based purely on "Just kind of from how you look... you are blond, after all..."
Amuro, of course, says "You'll need to dig a little deeper for that to make logical sense!" which to me is a kind of... tactful and polite way of saying "wow, you're showing your prejudice a bit there, want to try again?"
It kinda hits harder after learning more about his past in both the Detective Conan chapters where he thinks more about how Elena Miyano connected with him when he was young, and Wild Police Story, where Wataru Date defended him from similar remarks made in much less polite ways (i.e, academy canteen bullying).
He's used to this sort of attitude - the old "you don't look Japanese, so is your lifestyle less Japanese as well? Do you prefer less Japanese styles, or foods?" which... when people can easily have non-Japanese ancestry but can also have never lived outside of Japan? Is really prejudiced and rude.
What I will say is that since this attitude is so ingrained in many ways, it doesn't say as much about an individual as it does about social norms. My standard is less "wow, that individual is doing this, that means they're bad" it's more "if that person was told how rude they were being, would they accept it and apologise?"
Sure it'd be nice if no one had to learn, but that's not a very forgiving mindset.

I like thinking about what Amuro has heard about KID secondhand considering the company he keeps. Azusa's a big enough KID fan to incorporate it into her blog, Sonoko idolises KID as do the Detective Boys (though they do it differently), Kogorou and Ran frequently are involved in heists not to mention Conan is the KID Killer who considers him a playmate of all things.
Rei's jurisdiction isn't Phantom Thieves but the general consensus seems to be that KID is a frenemy type figure to the Japanese police who they will catch not harm but can also use to their advantage when their goals align without much harm happening to them or the public (Zero seemed to have fun at the Queen's Bang too, it's nice to see him share the other detectives' desire to match wits with KID), though he'd a a good ally or a horrifying terrorist/assassin if he wanted to be. Does Rei suspect him of working with Akai or Vermouth courtesy of the Mystery Train? I kind of want to see Rei's reaction to finding out KID photographed Okiya's voice-changing choker in use.
I wonder what the Underworld thinks of KID and therefore Bourbon. Kaito's interacted with Chat Noir, Dark Knight: Nightmare, Lupin III, as well as Spider and Snake/Jackal & Rose. He helps some criminals, exposes others and is open to competition. He operates in the shadows and the spotlight but isn't exposed to either world, he's simultaneously exploitable and dangerous to mess with (he always gets payback). Generally if you leave him and his alone he leaves you alone though, he's not like a vigilante. His skills are high demand and his secrecy makes him anear urban legend if not for the media coverage.
If he did find out, Rei would be interested in the association with Vermouth, and be impressed that KID got that picture in the first place... even though he had to give it up.
As for the Underworld... hopefully, they either take advantage or leave well enough alone.

Enomoto Azusa is a fun character; she makes the setting of a detective agency above a cafe seem more lively and I welcome Ran not being solely responsible for feeding her family. She’s knowledgeable about her job and cares a lot for the Mouris and Conan. She was a good senpai to Amuro too when he started. I remember when her big brother Sugihito (28, 5 years older than her) was accused of murder and framed, she went against police advice and tracked him down. As a result lots of police members became regulars because of the cafe’s special pasta recipe. I like her original design as well but prefer her as a more recurring character. She has a blog and is a KID fan too.
AzuAmu/AmuAzu feels like despite both of them seeing each other as colleagues everyone sees them as a couple (probably because a pair of attractive adults hang out more than necessary) to the point where Azusa tries to disguise going with him to places from Amuro’s fans using others. I like that she’s witnessed some of Furuya Rei’s craziness in him and he does seem to get along with and respect her too.
She is a great character, isn't she.
My newest favorite moment of her was her reaction to Amoru's "love confession."

I just imagining myself as Master Poirot. One day, I gave my two employees (who I suspected were dating) tickets to the exhibition.
Later, that night, when the exhibition should've closed, I called one of them about cafe opening hours tomorrow and he said he would tell his colleague because they were still together, so I didn't contact her.
The next morning, I found them both sleepy and yawning a few times.
"Last night was so tiring. I'm so sleepy right now," said my male employee as he yawned.
"Still, I was too excited last night. I woke up late this morning," said my female employee with sleepy eyes.
I thought, what made him tired and what made her excited last night? Then I concluded that my suspicions were right. It wasn't a rumour anymore, was it? So I told everyone, including my substitute who seemed to have a crush on my female employee.
I told him wisely, "You should just give in. She seems happy with the new handsome part-timer at Poirot."
I don't know what happened next, but I heard that my substitute came to the cafe just to make sure that my handsome male employee was suitable for my sweet female employee.
Oh, I heard them denied it too. It seems like they are still shy, or they don't want to make their relationship public yet. But I'm still sure that they are dating.
Lol, I would love a fic from Poirot's Master POV
from his POV they really must look like a couple (●'◡'●)
Oh, so you think Reita has a crush on Azusa huh. I made a poll and 50% believe he does and 50% don't.
I'm more inclined towards him liking her. Maybe platonically? Like how the police officials were with Sato? well, he is 15 years older than her 🤔

Shumori chapter 8
TW: Diabolik Lovers, sexual harassment, mild violence, high level manipulation. More dream world next time!
Subaru skipped class to track at least one of the amateur terrorists, learn their schedule, whereabouts, dwelling and eventually find where they were holding Yui captive.
He had a lot more success than he wanted to, though; turns out two of the brothers noticed and blocked his way whenever he was about to get close to Yui, who was being a lot more closely guarded by the guy with too much perfume.
How close, exactly? And why did she allow this?
Subaru had a knot in the stomach and seriously considered the possibility that there really was no point in trying to retrieve his girlfriend; he could hear her heart sometimes went faster, too. But he had to see for himself. As he was reaching the hallway her scent came from, they appeared again.
-I'm sorry, Subaru... but we can't be suspected of holding a hostage... -Azusa had just dropped an entire cart full of basketballs to roll and bounce directly at Subaru like bowling balls to a pin- you would make it too obvious...
Subaru was appalled the school seemed to pay no attention to the racket Azusa's balls were making, or the soapy water Ruki was strategically dropping just a few meters of Yui's classroom.
-Don't even bother telling on us -Ruki said, rather proudly as he made a barricade out of mops- we have bribed the cleaning staff, and they were a bit too enthusiastic about the idea of causing you any type of predicament. It's best to keep your distance, Sakamaki Subaru.
Subaru tripped on a ball and landed face down, as all classrooms shut their doors and left tardy students outside for another 45 minutes. He was condemned to skip yet another class today.
This only further angered Subaru. And reporting them for bullying was too lame. What would Shu do?
Nothing. He wouldn't give a-
Exactly!
He'd send a familiar to follow them and leave a trail for him to catch up. Yui couldn't possibly think he'd forgotten about her, or could she?
-Hey, Masokitty, it's especially dark tonight, isn't it? -Kou stretched out a hand to Yui- do you wanna hold hands? We wouldn't want you to be snatched away by some scary serial killer...
Yui was embarrassed to even be suggested the option. She couldn't really phatom disrespecting Subaru like that by her own will but on the other hand, she really did find their way home to be a bit scary.
-Can we maybe just have me walk in front instead?
-And have all of us 3 vampires look at you obsessively the whole way? -Kou smirked- My, you really have a hidden pervert inside!
-Or is it just vanity? -Kou growled as his eyes narrowed- I tried the easy way, but you are annoyingly uncooperative...
And he cuffed himself to her, with real, cold metal cuffs.
-Kou, why? -Yui yelped as he forcefully pulled her forward
-A spirit, a being with no physical body, cannot undo chains or anything like that. -Kou giggled- isn't that poetic, Masokitty? Ruki here thought of all possibilities, that's our big brother for you!
-Kou, let's get on with it; -Ruki smiled a little but tried to dissimulate- you know what our limits are.
-Hey, Eve... -Azusa said casually as he walked beside a handcuffed Yui- I'm so jealous you get to use those for the first time, they are top-quality and military grade... do they hurt?
Yui felt both hopeless and mortified... but hopefully that "spirit" she had been cuffed in account of had something to do with the Sakamaki house... this town must have so many other creepy creatures hungry for humans, but she wanted to believe.
Meanwhile, the police was inspecting a park where drug dealers liked to hang out and they spotted a huge guy sleeping on a tree branch like he lived in the jungle.
They shone a light in his face,
-Sir, get down immediately, we cannot have people climbing these trees! Are you under the influence of any substance?
Yuma growled and hissed and covered his eyes as the police made their classic police-y noises. He almost lost balance, if it wasn't for the rope he could have fallen from quite a few meters.
He had tied himself to a tree like he was avoiding being eaten by some predator. He didn't know how he got here, or why he'd resorted to this action.
The police was about to interrogate him when he snapped out of the confusion and remembered he was a vampire, fuck the police!
And he ran in super speed out of their sight. Now, where did he live..?
Subaru arrived at what looked like a modern version of the Sakamaki mansion. He wondered if he would be crazy to think these people had something to do with his bastard of a father, but that was insane.
Surely there were a lot more vampires in the human world than there should be, right? Every single one was one too much, in his view, but he couldn't imagine other vampires having a demented father send them here; he wanted to believe not too many were like Karl-Heinz.
He just had bad luck. Speaking of which, it started raining.
Laito would probably say this was a scene from a horror movie in which a stalker stood around waiting for the heroine to discover him.
Fuck Laito, he was the good guy! They really had held her hostage previously, though. He didn't really know if she'd left willingly. Now he was mad at Laito for no reason. No, not at Laito. He hated himself. He had definitely messed up with Yui enough for this to happen.
But priorities first: the lights were on on the other side of the house. Everywhere was dark except this one window.
As he got closer, he saw the blond guy holding Yui's face in his hand, her back pressed against what he guessed was his dimly lit bedroom wall.
-Come on, Masokitty, it's rather selfish that I escorted you all the way here -he grabbed her chin and lifted it to expose her neck- keep you company in a scary storm and even give you nice, fluffy pajamas -he murmured in her ear, feeling up the fabric in her waist and pinning her hip against the wall with one leg- and you won't let me suck your blood?
-Kou, -Yui moaned as she struggled- I didn't ask for any of this, please let me go!
-You totally thought it was a given, didn't you? -Kou slowly passed a light finger along her carotid- You really are arrogant... just look at these goosebumps, begging to be pierced...
He bit, she yelled.
Subaru knew that pained face very well. Because he had previously caused the same himself.
He didn't want to let unwanted pain happen to her, be it by his hand or anyone else's. If she really didn't love him, he loved her still and didn't want her mistreated. He smashed the glass separating the balcony and the bedroom to face the other vampire.
Yuma got lost in the city, then he remembered the way to school; it had just started to rain pretty heavily and he didn't want to end up in the police's records for actual trespassing in some public place or an empty house, and the school was all he could recall in terms of directions.
He imagined it would be very strange if the police saw a guy identical to him had been apprehended a few decades ago in Romania, but wasn't like, a 100 years old now.
Come on, Yuma! -he yelled at himself- That's NUTS! -a passerby made a frightened face and ran as Yuma facepalmed at himself, oblivious- and very unlikely!
But how likely was his very existence? His mugshot would probably be some kind of horror tale on that "Internet" thing. The Japanese would think he was a Yokai like the Shirime. No thanks!
So he broke into school to sleep somewhere it wouldn't rain on him. Most classrooms were locked, except the music classroom. Cozy, he wouldn't need to break anything!
He entered, humming a violin song that often got stuck in his head and noticed something. This place smelled very familiar. Either way, it was late and he was exhausted.
Good night, goodnight, close your eyes and you'll leave this dream
Kou had legitimately not seen this coming. He didn't hear him either; the sound of the rain must have dulled his presence, sound and smell. That, and the intoxicating smell and taste of this girl's blood.
There he stood, yelling something about not treating his girl like that, not taking his property without permission and something at her asking if she'd left willingly.
Subaru was aiming a punch at Kou when Azusa snuck behind him and kicked the back of his knees; once again Subaru was on the floor. This was definitely not his day.
Ruki restrained Yui and shielded Kou; Subaru was outnumbered, and he wouldn't do something Ayato would do, like setting the house on fire; he'd admit defeat and retreat.
Yui saw him disappear in a cloud of dust; she couldn't help but cry. He'd come for her. As Yui or his "property"?
-That is one proud guy... isn't he? -Azusa and Ruki exchanged dreading looks as Kou helped Yui sit on the bed and brought her a tissue.
-Why are you crying, lil' kitty? -Kou asked, genuinely confused; his eye detected sadness but something like happiness at the same time- Scary having someone just break windows to barge in like that, huh?
-Please, Kou... you make no sense! -Yui sobbed- why are you keeping me here? I wanted to go with him...
-We can't; and I'm pretty sure that violent guy is a handful. After all, haven't you've been pretty lonely for a while?
Guilt.
-Hey, it's been hard for you, let me take you out somewhere fun tomorrow to make it up to you!
Fear. He'd need a different approach.
-I'm sure those guys won't let you go to stuff like... you've been wanting to experience a normal, human student life, if only for a little bit, haven't you? -Kou smiled- You know we used to be human a long time ago; we have an idea what it's like... there is a place the girls at school said is cool, I've wanted to check out; you should come!
Bullseye.
An offer Yui couldn't resist. He'd just seen into her deepest desire. She hugged him, willingly, and sobbed what seemed like a river. Was she going crazy? These people kidnapped her! But she had longed for this for too long to say no, catch or no catch.
At the Sakamaki mansion, as everyone was going to bed, the main door busted open and a soaking wet Subaru with a few cuts entered and left muddy footprints in the foyer, much to Reiji's dismay.
-Subaru! What compelled you to go roll in the mud at this hour? -Reiji grew livid when Subaru didn't respond- Are you possessed or why do think it is fine to leave mud footprints in the house like a rabid animal?!
-Shut the fuck up, leave me alone!
Subaru ran toward his room, or the castle, but not before taking off his shoes to stop leaving footprints. How very considerate.
-Oooh -Laito poked his head into the hallway- do you think he tried and failed to retrieve Bitch-chan and that's why he's so riled up?
-Surely that is the case. I'll let it go this time. But tomorrow he'll clean that floor with the help of torture tools.
-Do we still have popcorn? -Ayato laughed behind them
Truth is, he would have preferred to stay up and watch Subaru clean while Laito took pictures and Kanato set a beautiful table of sweets for them to enjoy Subaru's torment, because his dreams were so unsettling lately, but he didn't want to say anything because that was just lame.
Reiji left, not without ordering his brothers to go to bed already. Everything was okay.
-Hey, Ayato... have you been seeing something very strange in your dreams lately? -Laito said, grin gone- Something about a picnic, pictures, a fire and the missing Mukami guy?
Ayato flinched. His brother could be so stalkerish and guess his thoughts! Would his thoughts follow him into his dreams!?
-What? The great me doesn't have lame dreams about lame people doing lame things!
Laito looked sad. He hated that face. Okay, he'd remove the depression from his face.
-I do remember a picnic with all of you. But I'm sure it's nothing.
-The picnic was kinda fun. -Laito remembered only he and Shu seemed to be their conscious selves in the dream- I wonder if, you know how the Yuma guy is missing in real life... could we ever..?
-What do you want something like that for? It's pointless.
-If you ever feel like it, though...
Laito left the hallway, a bit disappointed, but not too much; he couldn't really expect Ayato to get it.
Predictably, when he opened his eyes he was back at the strange garden-nursery, and lying around him on the floor were Ayato, Kanato and Subaru, who were still asleep, even in the dream. Would they be dreaming inside the dream?
He might as well play around a little in this place, it wasn't so bad, after all, much cozier than the mansion.
There was a radio from the 1930s. He hadn't seen one of these in such a long time!
He turned it on.
"Kaaaaaaaaarl, what have you done this time????!
"Nothing, nothing!"
"Kaaaaaaarl, there is a dead person in our living room!"
"Oh yes, I killed him..."
"KAAAAAAAARL!"
This Karl guy seemed to be awful. He kept saying something about a great plan and a genetic experiment to spawn crazy individuals; and he had a breeding fetish. He hoped he never actually met the bastard.
It sounded familiar, but he didn't want to hear any more of this absurd, twisted plan of a new species, inheriting mysterious powers to some poor guy and the woman saying KAAAAAAAARL to every atrocity like it was a minor inconvenience. For some reason he was enraged.
He prided himself in not being obnoxiously destructive like Subaru, but this was all a dream, so he couldn't be bothered to care: he threw the radio through the window.
Problem was, it had apparently landed on someone's head, and they survived and had enough energy to give chase. The door had already been reached. He was quite possibly screwed.

Brave Musume GaoGaiGirls
As I have previously discussed, this is a webcomic released intermittently by Hobby Japan from June 2019 through July 2023, with a total of 31 parts.
number.01: The Braves of GGG are lost in the Trinary Star System, however Bionet have developed a Zonder Virus to attack cyberspace so to counter them data of the Braves has been used to create Virtual Mechanoids, the GaoGaiGirls. The lead is Shishioh Rukio, saved from death as an electric fusion, however her laziness annoys her partner Galeo.
number.02: It started a month ago, when Rukio saw a mysterious net broadcast, and was suddenly dragged naked into cyberspace by what seemed to be a Zonder Robo.
number.03: Rukio ran while not understanding what was happening, then came across a naked boy, who tried to get her to run, but she became distracted from the Zonder by the nudity.
number.04: Rukio awakens, and the boy flies to her, apologising she got caught up in this, but offering her a way to fight back. As she aggressively shakes her, he calls for LinerGao(M0.95)
number.05: Rukio is now transformed into the Virtual King of Braves, derived from GaoGaiGar. The boy used a lot of power to affect the change, become Galeo, and has her use Broken Magnum to defeat the Zonder Virus.
number.06: The Zonder Virus will keep regenerating as long as the Virtual Zonder Core survives, so Galeo has Rukio use Hell and Heaven to extract the Core, however doing so uses up the power of the Virtual GS-Ride, cancelling Final Fusion and leaving Rukio naked.
number.07: Rukio has continued to use the Brave Armour to fight for GGG. A ZOV appears on the servers of Nitto General Hospital, Rukio is sent to fight it.
number.08: Rukio is struggling against the giant, captured in a claw, so Galeo calls for backup, Rukio's predecessor Virtual Mechanoid. The arrival crashlands, freeing Rukio, but is then herself crushed by the roller.
number.09: Rukio pulls the newcomer free, and she introduces herself as Homura Azusa, the crash is due to her inherited traits from EnRyu. She claims to be more a support and and tank role, so Rukio should engage head on.
number.10: The other backup appears suddenly with a sword slash, having held back to gather intel, she is Shizuku Kanae, Azusa's twin sister. Rukio is very put off by the talk of the sister docking.
number.11: With time running out, Rukio has Azusa and Kanae create an opening for her to recover the Core.
number.12: The three GaoGaiGirls meet up to discuss their victory, unaware of a mysterious cloaked figure spying on them, confining Rukio, as the GaoGaiGar-type, as the biggest obstacle, before being embarrassingly exposed by the wind.
number.13: Rukio has met with National Police Agency Planning Division Director, Inugama Saori, currently on loan to GGG. Rukio wants to quit being GaoGaiGar, in response Inugami shows her candid pictures of her she's recovered, and gushes over her, begging her to stay. Also Ushiyama Tsuguo appears to be working there.
number.14: Rukio's attempts to quit are hampered further when Azusa (as a maid) and Kanae (as a carrot), also working at the restaurant, overhear and are upset, both because of the betrayal and because Rukio was the first person found compatible with Shishioh Gai's data, and they hug her and beg her to stay, Inugami takes advantage of the opportunity for more photos.
number.15: Inugami gets a call from Hirata, reporting a new ZOV threatening to takeover all of G-Island City. Inugami orders the GaoGaiGirls to deploy, Rukio begging to at least be able to get class credit for this.
number.16: Narration on the GaoGaiGirls and their duties, Rukio is annoyed at being forced to deploy in a swimsuit.
number.17: The GaoGaiGirls arrive and witness the ZOV flying, making the sisters unable to do much, as Azusa's attacks are too close range and Kanae is a meles combatant, leaving Rukio stuck.
number.18: Rukio charges after the ZOV using Ul-Tech Engines to pursue, but suddenly a giant robot hand appears and punches her.
number.19: Rukio looks up to see the cloaked figure descending from the robot hand and gloating, only for Rukio to freak out because her foe isn't wearing underwear, trying to preserve the girl's modesty.
number.20: With no sign of the ZOV being stopped, Hirata requests permission to unlock Galeo's power, but Inugami needs to delete confidential files first.
number.21: The robot hand fires anti-mason cannons, the girl laughing about her power over the GaoGaiGirls, gloating her barrier makes her invincible.
number.22: JJ2, the girl, laughs about her victory. Rukio wants to give up, but isn't prepared to let them bring devastation, but wonders if rather than fighting, she can negotiate friendship with JJ2.
number.23: Azusa and Kanae try to buy time while Rukio talks to the Bionet agent, Rukio explains her struggles with the job, JJ2 implies she could give her an in with Bionet. At last though, the 4th hero appears.
number.24: Inugami appears, with power derived from Volfogg. She fires a Melting Siren to disrupt JJ2's clothes, leaving her open to attack by the sisters, though Inugami is a little too ecstatic at the opportunity she's been given.
number.25: Rukio uses the opportunity to finally defeat the ZOV, saving G Island City from becoming a Zonder. JJ2 acknowledges her loss, but promises to have revenge, though Rukio wants to be friends and tries to warn about Inugami.
number.26: In a meta chapter about the manga resuming, a her heroine, Kurogane Hiro, introduces herself.
number.27: Rukio explains to Hiro about JJ2 and her hope they could be friends. Hiro is annoyed at unnecessarily raising flags, but agrees to help Rukio, taking on Goldion Hammer form to be used by Rukio.
number.28: Inugami lectures the girls on how the specialised ID Armour for cyberspace use was developed to oppose Bionets ZOV use. The first developed were the J-Jewel based JJ2 and Hiro, who were meant to work in tandem in imitating the Silverion Hammer. Replicating G-Stone technology was harder, and by the time Rukio's VID and Galeo were finished, JJ2's systems were overtaken by Bionet. The girls are wondering what to do about JJ2, but it turns out she has already been invited to this GGG Data Center.
number.29: JJ2 cannot comprehend the reason for inviting her, but has initiated a ZOV infection, triggering a firewall trapping everyone in that data space. The GaoGaiGirls charge, but are overwhelmed easily.

number.31: A few years later, this branch of GGG are still pursuing cyber threats. Intelligence Officer Kanae and support Azusa note electromagnetic waves coming that threaten the network, so Commanders Inugami and Hirata order GaoGaiGirls to deploy, so accompanied by Galeo, Rukio, Hiro and JJ2 leap into action.

An Expansion on My Post From Yesterday aka Why Azusa Deserves Better
So yesterday, I made a post saying that I wish Gosho would give Azusa a little more character development because I feel like it's unfair to her that, for as long as she's been in the series (she debuted in episode 152), she hasn't been given much of a personality outside of being a friendly coffee shop girl. In this post, I'll expand a little more on why I feel like Azusa's character has been done a disservice.
Now, before I get started, I want to clarify that I don't think there's anything wrong with her being a friendly coffee shop girl, and I don't mind her in general. She's a kind, sweet woman, which makes her an easy character to like. At the same time, though, I also find it hard to get super attached to her for reasons I'll list below.
Number one, while I like the fact that she's a friendly coffee shop girl, I definitely wish that wasn't the only aspect of her personality that got any sort of major focus. We've seen flashes of Azusa having more to her than that, such as when she rebelled against the police when her brother was framed for murder, but Gosho hasn't done anything to expand on those aspects of her character. I'm not saying she needs to be a CIA spy or another detective or even involved with the BO in any way, but she deserves something more than what she's been given so far.
Another issue I have with Azusa's treatment is how Gosho basically treats her as if she's only semi-more important now because she's coworkers with Amuro. Here's what I mean by that.
Since her debut in episode 152 (1999), Azusa has appeared in the main anime a total of 27 times as of when I'm writing this post. In addition, out of those 27 appearances, 16 of them came after Amuro started working at Poirot with her. From episode 537 to 723, there was a four-year gap in which Azusa didn't appear in the anime at all, not even in the background of an episode. Considering she works literally one floor down from the Mouri detective agency, that seems a little off to me. Surely it wouldn't have been that hard for Gosho to at least acknowledge her existence during those four years.
Actually, if you want to get technical, Azusa has really only appeared in the anime 25 times because, in episodes 866-867, it wasn't even really her. It was Vermouth in disguise.
It also doesn't help that ever since Amuro started working at Poirot, Azusa's character has basically been relegated to being his coworker. Even though she's technically getting more spotlight than she used to, it's almost never really her that's getting the spotlight. It's more like Conan's getting Amuro's help with a case and Azusa just happens to be there. And that's literally all she does most of the time. She's just...there.
But even if Gosho can't think of anything for Azusa to do besides her usual job, then he could at least expand more on her relationships with other people in her life. We know that she has an older brother who she's literally willing to defy the police for, and according to ZTT, she's friends with Eri's assistant. Amuro is not the only important person in her life, but for some reason, whenever she makes an appearance now, it's almost always by virtue of being his coworker.
Maybe I'm reading too much into things, but it's almost as if Gosho doesn't actually care about Azusa even though she's one of the longest-recurring characters in the series. I honestly think that if Amuro hadn't gone to work at Poirot, we would have seen even less of Azusa than we already have.
So when I say I find her character hard to get too attached to, it's not because of anything she's done. It's because of what she hasn't done, or, more accurately, what she hasn't been allowed to do because Gosho won't let her do anything meaningful. Why? Who knows, really? Maybe he just doesn't care enough, maybe he's just terrible at writing female characters in general, or maybe she was supposed to be a self-insert for fans to project themselves onto, and giving her a very basic personality was the easiest way to achieve that. Whatever the case may be, it's very unfair to Azusa. She deserves better than the treatment she's gotten so far.

Up to movie 22! I can't believe I'm almost at 23, the best DC movie. But I still have this one to get through first.
Of course Shinichi knows the record for the highest a drone can fly. The king of weird facts.
It's too early in the movie for you two to look pretty. Not fair.
We're starting off with a very violent explosion I see.
Or, Agasa, you should tecach the children to take turns like a normal person would.
Well that isn't good news for Amuro. If Ai noitced, you know that the BO did too. Is this going to have BO involvement?
The synopsis did say Kogoro was framed. I have to wonder how they managed to achieve that, however.
She deserves the world. Gosho, you should give her the world.
This episode shows you why the police aren't your friends. Also why is Ran calling Shinichi and NOT ERI. ONE OF THEM IS A LAYWER AND HER MOTHER.
This movie already is getting on my nerves.
Shinichi, Amuro has always been your adversary. He almost fucked up your plan with Akai for a personal grudge. He almost got Ai killed (someone you said you would protect with your life). I'm sorry, but I really hate how lightly Shinichi treats Amuro when other people have gotten his scorn for less actions.
Finally, Ran remembered her mother is a lawyer and went to her. Who she should have gone to first but we gotta push the bad romance~
Awww, thank you Agasa for reminding Shinichi not to take it out on Ai.
Ran, trust your mother's judgement. She is the lawyer. She knows what she's doing.
So Nasa is known as Nazu in DCMK.
Honestly, I think they should let Shinichi be more pissed off.
LMAO I do love Azusa shutting down Amuro's comment about being a good wife. She's not for it. She only cares about profits.
Shinichi, you should recognize the "I'm just going to the toilet" excuse for what it is. This is just embarrassing for you.
Does this man not change his suit?
Shinichi, why are you admitting your crimes to a police officer? Your lucky he won't do anything about it but what you just did was a crime that could get you in a lot of shit.
Shinichi isn't even bothering to be "shinichi" to tell the truth.
Ran don't get flustered about that. If Shinichi is a decent person, he would do this without any connection. Also Shinichi can you fucking NOT insult Ran. It's not playful when you do it to her because you're an ass to her and you genuinely do treat her like an idiot who doesn't deserve to know as much as you do.
Sorry, I'm just realising why I don't see many people talk about this film unlike the others.
Shinichi entered the matrix.
Pile ups are becoming common in Detective Conan movies.
Of course Ran is where the danger is. Can't have a movie without her being a damsel in distress who needs to be saved by Shinichi!
CAN WE FUCKING NOT. Sorry I'm throwing up because they're also making Eri a school girl whose blushing over being protected by Kogoro (who is also in danger but is calm because the men get to be cool).
I'm sure this tall place won't be in any danger at all. None at all :)
I wonder if these public security know that they're using children to fly a drone to "defend this country".
"I tried to ruin a family for my petty revenge." God this movie is fully of bad people, isn't it. Amuro and her would get on great though.
Imagine being a part of this evacuation though. You were told to go somewhere safe and then the police go "lol we made a mistake, this place is where the actual danger is".
Genuinely, I really hate the contrived danger they put Ran in so they can have Shinichi be all worried about her and not the thousands of other lives in danger as well.
Give a cheer for Amuro's car, the true MVP in this movie.
Fuck. Off.
Shinichi: Do you have a girlfriend, Amuro?
Amuro: Shinichi, I'm gay, just like you.
Shinichi: I'm what?
They're being very obnoxious with the "Ran"s this movie, aren't they.
LMAO I find it kind of funny how pushed the romance was this movie and they just showed the conclusion in the ending credits which was just Shinichi going "Oh, glad you're alright."

!!The hackers(minus Tobari since you already did her) for the ask game
Nomiya
My favorite thing is definitely the design. I know I've been saying that alot w other characters but like can you blame me?? My least favorite thing (I dont't rlly have anything but if I had to say) but his personality kinda just being generally loud it kinda scares me /lh Favorite Line: "Giga-dull, man." brOTP - Hiyu; I think they get along pretty well they just put up w alot of banter kinda bashing each other affectionetly OTP - N/A nOTP - N/A I don't rlly ship Nomiya w anyone nor see anything but I don't have issues w anything as long as its healthy and legal. A random HC is Jin, Hiyu, Nomiya and Azusa hang out w/ each other. An unpopular opinion; I think he could use a little more fleshing out but its forgivable. A song I associate w him is We appreciate Power by Grimes (I just think of all of the hackers w this song so expect this to be copied and pasted!)
Favorite Image:
Kirai
My favorite thing is the fact he's a little shit. I love him for that; Hes my favorite 1bh kid (I cannot deal w the others /source /lh) My least favorite thing probably how he treats Kotora but it's comical but like poor Kotora /lh Favorite Line: "I'm the amaaazing Kirai Nasuga." brOTP - Sagara bc I feel like Sagara would take a liking to Kirai and get info abt Izuchi bc she thinks Kirai's willing to betray the organization /LH OTP - N/A nOTP - N/A A random HC I have is that Kirai has a habit of subconsiously mimicking his brother and everyone finds it endearing but him Unpopular Opinion: I think he's a sweet kid just too much influence from Izuchi And for song? We appreciate power by Grimes! (my hc theme for hackers fr)
Favorite Image:
Kotora
My favorite thing about him is his personality; Same reason for Toukai; Just a tired guy trying to get by. I don't really have a least favorite thing about him tbh Favorite Line(s): "Umm… She's a little scary, perhaps." "Wha?! She's with the police?" "T-That's still plenty qualified…" (IM SORRY I FIND IT FUNNY THAT KOTORA IS LIKE INTIMDATED BY LIKE BASICALLY MIKADO'S KID / SIBLING (Dude its okay I like you dw) ) brOTP - Chino and Haruya + The Nasuga brothers - I feel like he's a family friend of them and thats why they go to him to basically babysit since he's known the families for a good while and helped them out in the past. OTP - Kotora x Mikado I think they are a silly couple /source /pos nOTP - N/A (Dont rlly have a strong opinion on this considering he doesnt rlly have any to be against) My unpopular opinion; Why the fuck is Kotora so underrated like dude hes the fucking realest in the game?? He needs justice bro </3 And the song? We appreciate power by Grimes! (we all that coming at this point) Favorite Image:
Mikado
My favorite thing about him is he committed foreshadowing crimes throughout the whole game its so funny to replay bc of it /lh My least favorite thing (this is /lh and /t) The fact he fucking put a fucking temp tattoo on his pants; I am not letting him live that down Favorite Line: "Hm. We may not be direct siblings, but maybe we do have a connection." brOTP - Nanashi and Misane Aira + the Potetes; He pretty much willingly let them stay in the apartment so they are the roomates ever (I have a hc that aira and the potetes stay in bc mikado let them in due to being homeless and get along well w Misane and Nanashi) OTP - Mikado x Kotora (alr explained previously!) nOTP - ...Whatever the fuck was going on on ao3 (vaguing the same person from the last post). Iykyk and its just what the fuck. My unpopular opinion is why did the fandom pick him to be like the one everyone's down bad for bc like imo the girls r prettier (The fandom is fucking sleeping on Kirara, Tobari and Future Izuchi etc) - Sincerely a raging bisexual For song choice We appreciate power by Grimes and Kingslayer by Bring me The Horizion ft Babymetal (this mainly for Babymetal's part when translated which is why I linked the lyric video there)
Favorite Image:
#cyril asks#ask game#fun fact i was working on my hackers drawing right b4 this#keep the asks coming i wanna do more of these#and wow! i have music real????

I'm also noticing that more types of cases have close plot relevance than before?
The main police love stories are Chiba and Naeko (now mostly resolved), and Yumi and Haneda Shuukichi... who is the middle brother of the Akai family. And each case with her brings a few clues about what's going on there.
Plus, instead of the Detective Boys just stumbling into things, and later being a vehicle for Kobayashi and Shiratori, we now have Rumi Wakasa, who has a dark past - and a connection with Kuroda.
Even supposedly average at-home cases have the sushi guy, who's been shown to be suspicious, alongside Amuro (actually Bourbon), with Azusa being Vermouth's disguise once.
Cases in other prefectures are no longer just "filler" with fun characters, as there's the added complications of the Nagano trio and whatever is going on between Koumei and Amuro.
Kid heists are also more plot relevant, and especially so since the Mystery Train, but possibly even before then, since they were sharing details with each other about their mothers. But now we've had Kid encountering Shuuichi, Koumei attending a Kid heist, and the next one has Amuro attending. The most recent has not just the reappearance of Hakuba, but the first instance as far as I know of Kid disguising as Shinichi in manga canon, not just the movies.
So that all means that the plot is condensing so that cases that previously would have been "there's only a few bits here that could be considered relevant" are now not just dipped but soaked in plot. There's barely, if any, that go by with nothing.
In other words? We're picking up speed.

Had a minor heart attack as I had just ripped through the speed section of Azusa canyon at triple digits and discovered a helicopter overhead. Thought once again a police helicopter and my sport bike were going to write an expensive story.
