Reihaya, my love...
Okay, hear me out. I ship them platonically because they're obviously both homosexuals. But nobody can deny that they're soulmates. Look at them!
They have so much in common. For example, they both turn into the same creature from hell with glowing eyes and diabolical grin when they're on a motorcycle/in a car...

They slay bad guys with the same cool motorcycle stunts...

...and share a habit of parking their bikes on car roofs.

Something else they have in common is their great fondness of Matsuda...

...and they even express said fondness in the same fashion!

They mirror each other in so many ways...

...also, they're both very pretty, and I'm so bi for them.
#ugh i love them#do you know who would make a great couple?#azusa and jugo!#can somebody please inform gosho about that?#reihaya#chihayafuru#hagiwara chihaya#furuya rei#amuro tooru#matsuda jinpei#dcmk#detective conan#meitantei conan#zero's tea time#ztt#wild police story#wps

My Opinion About Zero's Tea Time (ZTT) Detective Conan Spin-Off
Summary: I agree this is not really 'Zero's Tea Time', more to Furuya Rei's Tea Time or Amuro Toru's Tea Time. Because Amuro and Rei are here, but Zero forever buried and only occasionally appear for his late dear friends. Zero is for WPS and for now, WPS only.
I'm happy ZTT Rei has Haro as some kind of healing and now I'm even more worried for Canon Rei. Canon Rei only have Kazami :"D
Overall, I love ZTT especially Time.2, Time.3, and Time.6! But other Eps are so fun too! I want to read ZTT manga now!
It's understandable if some people feel that ZTT is too fanservice-y because half of the screentime is for Amuro Toru persona, & even I think some of Rei's action here is a bit too open (additional after reading the manga: And too much free time being 'Amuro Toru' for the people, like ski resort chapter, baseball chapter, etc) for supposed-undercover.
But we actually get a lot of Rei being Rei too? So it's not THAT bad
Especially when Kazami is with him. He's so "Rei". And when Camel came to Poirot. That's Rei being "Rei" too. Furuya Rei flashback with Elena? Mourning for WPS? Liking Japanese product? Hating Akai? That's all "Furuya Rei" at his most authenticity.
(Additional after reading the manga: The moment we saw Rei being 'Furuya Rei' on anime and movie are always on urgent situation, except Police Academy Arc. Rei being 'Rei' in anime and movie is always high-stake or just serious moment. So I really appreciate Furuya Rei non-serious mode on ZTT. The control-freak nature? The occasional snark? The side-eye? The impatient 'I-dont-choose-other-way-I-make-MY-way-as-long-as-I-reach-my-goal'? Golden.)
So I don't really understand when people hated ZTT like it's the worst thing to do for Rei, like ZTT done so much disservice for Furuya Rei's character... But I guess it's back to each opinion
(Additional after reading the manga: As romantic AmuAzu disliker, I even feel confused for those who said ZTT baited too much for canon romantic AmuAzu in manga because, I actually don't see much scene of romantic AmuAzu except for that one chapter which in the end not happening at all because it's just grandma's imagination from the start to the end, and the last chapter when Azusa cried after Rei came back to Poirot.)
Final rating: 9/10! I love Rei. Kazami is great. Azusa, Midori, Hiroki, Camel are nice
Funfact: I consider the interpersonal relationship & the personal feeling here as canon rather than the event itself
The WPS dream of Rei... I interpret it as Rei himself is the one who kinda suicidal because he wanted to be with his friends, not like "WPS would never say that!"
Same with movie. I think the event itself isn't canon but the feeling is CANON
Like, Rei placing his Akai Hatred above national importance (read: Curacao & BO coming)? Canon. Rei willing to unjustifiedly arrest someone so he could actually catch the real one? Canon.
Rei could drive crazily? Canon
I thought the only reason Rei didn't fight with Akai on M26 because of:
- He didn't meet face to face with Akai
- Conan already in the middle of them (like how in M20 they stopped fighting bcs Conan here)
- BO actually already there at that moment

But really, that dialogue in ZTT Ch. 1 that Aoyama either wrote himself or signed off on is insane, especially when you compare how Rei’s mixed heritage is addressed in WPS by his friends:

vs. in ZTT:

The only way this makes sense to me is if it was meant to further emphasize how alone Rei is in the here and now. He has no one who sees him as himself anymore, and neither does he have anyone who’d get angry enough to defend him. He himself is used to this level of othering- it’s not even worth getting mad at anymore, even if he might spitefully overcompensate at home by cooking up a storm of food that actually suits his tastes. So he’ll never bite back against it himself.
I assume Aoyama was planning an am*azu endgame from before ZTT started, considering that early am*azu fantasy chapter. Why in the world wouldn’t he have instead written Azusa as an ally to Rei, in that case? She could’ve defended Rei against a casually discriminating background character, cementing her as a proper friend to Rei that he hasn’t had since he lost his last police academy buddy.
Instead, he chose to do the exact opposite.
#furuya rei#anti azusa#azusa salt#I’d like to tag this as anti am*azu#but I’m fairly sure it would show up in the ship search then…

KID vs Amuro!
He's still angry about the Heiji incident. Kaito, you need to kiss him to make it up to him.
Azusa: I'm not dating him, he's gay.
Sonoko, who does not recognize gay people: Sure~
God, people are so gross though. Azusa is just his coworker and she gets the hate because how dare she be friends with a hot guy. Akai come in and make out with Amuro and show them who the real competition is.
But lol, Shinichi really is Amuro and Akai's adopted son at this point. He's held both of their hands pretending to be so now.
IT'S TIME FOR KAITO TO GET JEALOUS!
Ran and Sonoko: You could go toe to toe with KID
Kaito: Yeah right.
Shinichi: No, you really could.
Kaito: This bitch-I'll show him!
The fact that Kaito breaks one of the principles of magic just because he got jealous Shinichi complimented Amuro is so goddamn funny.
He certainly succeeded in getting Shinichi's attention~
We all know that's not why, Shinichi. But you are dense so I'll forgive you.
He's such a petty asshole T-T Or maybe he's preparing his shotgun speech for Shinichi's future boyfriend. Both, definitely both. He got shown up in front of his child and now he knows it's the guy his son has got a massive crush on. He needs to make sure he's appropriate for him (I'm delusional).
...Poor Kazami.
Jirokichi's new voice is weird. I need a while to get used to it.
Do they want to kill someone with this trap?!
Kazami: Why are you so interested in KID?
Amuro, not wanting to reveal the truth: ...I have my reasons.
LOOK AT SHINICHI IN THE BACKGROUND. YOU KNOW HE KNOWS THIS IS KID AND HE DOES. NOT. SAY. ANYTHING.
Shinichi just wants to see Amuro and Kaito go at each other. He's even asking leading questions that both of them will hear (though you know that Kaito already knows) just to watch their responses.
Kaito has proven to pretend to be a child before, quite successfully. But yeah, I doubt he could pull it off here.
Lol they took the time to wipe off the paint before opening the case.
Shinichi with his dads and Shinichi with his boyfriend! Also I love it when they put Kaito and Shinichi over significant lyrics.
Shinichi, that really isn't the only reason he provoked you.
I love how Shinichi throws him everyone a bone and goes: "Yeah, I know where he is" but only after they've all despaired about him disappearing.
Poor Azusa, she just wanted a picture. Kaito almost gave into her too.
Awww, Shinichi warned his boyfriend before he got crushed to death by the police.
I love how Kaito asks Shinichi how he figured him out. He loves to let him show off his reasoning.
Kaito is a pretty princess! I love how he put the Queen's Bangs on his hat. He deserves to look pretty.
OH MY GOD KAITO JUST TELL EVERYONE HOW JEALOUS YOU ARE!
I love when we get to see the Kaito who isn't as "cool and know it all" as he's perceived.
Amuro: Have we met?
Kaito: Yeah, we've met, you almost killed me.
He approves.
And at least Amuro sort of paid back Kazami T-T

Other people are talking about the ZTT bread comment and making better points than I could think of myself (and more eloquently), so I've decided to, instead, talk about the other big problem I find with the entire am*azu pairing:
Azusa literally does not know that Furuya Rei exists.
The man she works with? That she pretends not to have a crush on (because we all know where this is going)? He doesn't fucking exist, not really.
Amuro Tooru is fake. He's a made-up persona that Rei uses in order to further is other goals. As soon as it's no longer useful to him? Amuro Tooru disappears entirely.
Azusa doesn't know Furuya Rei. She knows nothing about him. Could she learn? Sure, yeah, maybe, but I'm not convinced that an in-character Azusa would even like Rei.
There are pieces of Amuro that are probably true to Rei's personality (just as I believe there are also pieces of the Bourbon persona that are still Rei), but it's just crumbs. In most ways, Amuro and Rei are entirely different people.
Azusa does not know Rei. She doesn't know his personality, his horrors, his trauma. She doesn't know that he was bullied for his heritage as a kid, that he still faced some of those same comments in the police academy. She doesn't know, and wouldn't understand, his undercover work.
She would meet Furuya Rei, PSB Agent, and probably think he's an uptight asshole.
(She won't in canon, because Gosho's obsessed with his bullshit comphet romances, but if he stuck with any of her admittedly minimal characterization at all, she would despise the real Rei.)
(And let's not get started on the stuff he's done as Bourbon. The options are either keep that a secret forever, which sucks in a relationship, or deal with the fallout, which would destroy Azusa.)
She doesn't know about Elena, one of the few people in his life that look at him and just see him and not his blonde hair or his dark skin. Someone who understood him in a way other people really can't. And even if he told Azusa about all that, I don't think she'd ever fully understand, because she doesn't know what it's like to grow up being othered.
I do think working at Poirot is doing Rei some good, bringing back some of the humanity he probably felt like he lost being undercover for years, and especially after losing everyone who loves him, but he's never going to be Amuro Tooru. And it's better that way. We shouldn't have to be subjected to having his entire personality butchered and watered down in order to make a romantic relationship make sense, but that's what's going to happen with this pair.
#if he moves forward with this pairing then canon azusa is dead to me#and even my own headcanon azusa is on thin fucking ice#i'm not saying this as an akam shipper even though i am one#i'm saying this as someone whose favorite character is going to be destroyed just to force this continued comphet agenda#anyway rei deserves better than someone who can't handle the real him#azusa salt#detective conan#furuya rei

Furuya and Edges
i started typing this in the tags of a frkz post and then thought i might as well type it out.
we've all been in the camp of "ZTT is crap, it makes Furuya a boring gary stu yadda yadda" or "it softens him too much". I was in that camp as well on my first read, it poured a whole bucket of cold water on my toughly acquired appreciation of Furuya as a character. Absolutely loathed ZTT
And now I do want a ZTT 2. For furukaza reasons, yes, but also, I realise what I like about ZTT is that it does give Furuya edges which we are missing in the main manga. It does show us Furuya, as Furuya.
Furuya needs to be edgeless as Amuro. He needs to be friendly enough but also distant enough to be approachable to all, without anyone actually getting any intel on him that they can use. That's why all of his personality is smoothened out into something "universally" likeable or at least acceptable.
It's also why 97% of the times we see his personality surge out in the manga is regarding Akai, when the rage takes him - because he always disliked Akai, yes, but most importantly, bc Akai is too directly connected to Hiro and the wound of losing Hiro; Hiro, the heart of his heart: the one who guarded the most genuine parts of him, having seen him as a child. And what do we see in those moments when Furuya's edges emerge?
Impatience and rashness. (rushes into the Kudou's house without proof, is in too much hurry to get to results)
Temperament and emotion. (uses kisama on Akai, gets destabilised, goes up to a guy with no agenda other than to say he's dying to pull down their collar or that he hates someone enough to kill them)
This matches the traits we see in WPS and in the flashbacks of his childhood, where Furuya:
is hot-headed and temperamental (gets into physical fights based on feeling, is asked if he can get along with the person he fought with and snaps instantly with "are you joking?" (Hiro is the one who creates a window for him and Matsuda to talk again))
is reckless and intense (gets hurt on purpose to visit Elena)
is stubborn and opinionated, in that he actively tries to figure out what's wrong with Matsuda, but his views remain heavily and stubbornly biased despite learning more about him (his vision of the police as a good student vs Matsuda's personal grudge).
But WPS is in the past, and the manga only shows us Furuya when he "loses it" with Akai (+once, his pettiness with Kid). It is mostly "unhinged" moments when he loses to negative emotions. It counts! But it's incomplete. Your most stressed out side is not your only, real personality.
And so, I do like ZTT for filling the missing picture. In ZTT, we do see a lot of Furuya being Amuro, edgeless and a gary stu. But in details, we also see A LOT of furuya being furuya and having a personality with ugly edges.
An overwhelming majority of this happens when Kazami is there, because with Kazami he's always Furuya. It's not for nothing that Kazami struggles to call him anything but Furuya-san. It's reciprocal! Furuya is never Amuro with Kazami, not when they're alone. But he also does show his "edges" a few times with Camel and Azusa!
We see Furuya being impatient, and wanting things to be given to him straight / to have things be straight. (he's a "what is it? say it clearly!" guy and a "it's a hassle to give directions. i'll drive myself (hierarchy be damned)" guy and also a "let me explain to you why i'm single. see i absolutely cannot let you go away from here with misunderstandings" guy)
We see Furuya being opinionated and judgey (he gives the stink eye often, e.g. when Kazami spits out celery like Haro, he does it with Camel, with Azusa and her pumpkins and the velvet cake).
We see him be obsessively controlling (excel sheets for haro's diet, really?)
We see him be prickly ("you better not think that i'm the one getting vaccinated...")
are those good traits? no. what a terrible guy. but damn, we definitely are seeing those edges there. And they're in little things - not in the big losses of temper.
So I like ZTT for allowing me to say with sound basis that Furuya is actually a really "prickly, rash and opinionated guy at heart, and he might actually prefer things to be set straight as fast as possible in his own daily context, which is the opposite of his worksona". It does make him a more likeable blorbo and gives me so much more material to make fun of him.
It also fuels so much of my furukaza headcanons. But that is a story for another day.
PS: Incidentally, it's why "emotional" is not something I use often as a descriptive for Furuya's personality despite emotion being one of the edges we see most in the main manga, because, I think, he loses it with Akai as a result of his deepest wound and he's shit at processing the grief other than channelling it into anger. But I don't necessarily consider it a character trait. Ironically, I wonder whether, if he was an emotional person, he might actually be better at processing grief (or understanding Matsuda' off the bat's POV, for example). It's like the question of whether your trauma-induced PTSD is part of your personality? It's not the same thing, but I sometimes feel that his own losses of temper, as a placeholder for grief-processing, are actually a sign that he's under-developed in terms of emotional maturity, which, to me, suggests he favors rationality as his main tool, and therefore defaults to emotion only when the rest is lost. I think he's "temperamental" but not necessarily "emotional".

I've been thinking about Azusa a lot lately, and how Gosho said he imagines Azusa's been working at Poirot since highschool.
She's had the same job all this time...!?
While a bit unusual (especially nowadays), it is possible to skip going to college/university and just jump right into steady work after high-school. I think this is likely the case for Azusa.
Back when her brother Sugihito is arrested, we can tell he and Azusa are fairly close. He often sends her strange gifts from his business trips, and texts her regularly about silly things. Azusa even went as far as to defy the police in an attempt to save him, getting tased and captured in the process - they're clearly very important to each other.
But what about their parents...?
As far as I recall, we haven't heard anything about them. You'd think they'd at least be mentioned when their son is suspected of murder!? But no. They haven't even been mentioned in Zero's Time, where the Enomoto siblings dynamic is further expanded upon. But why?
The boring answer is that Gosho hadn't thought of them yet, but nevermind that.
My theory is that Mr. and Mrs. Enomoto passed away while they were still young... such as while Azusa and Sugihito were in high-school and college/university respectively. Sugihito would have had to juggle school and career hunting while looking after his little sister. Even for a such an easygoing guy, it must have been difficult. Depending on whether their parents had life insurance or not, money could have been a real issue as well - so to help ease some of the strain, maybe Azusa started working at Cafe Poirot.
To help pay the bills. To have some place to be while her brother was away. To keep herself busy while the hole in her heart mended...
...And then she just never left, because she didn't want to. It wasn't just a job anymore, but a place of warmth and comfort and cheer.
At some point or another, Azusa came to love working at Cafe Poirot, plain and simple.
...Well! It might be a bit on the sappy side, but if Gosho never gives her a proper background then this is what I'll be imagining ^^;;;
(And while I think she'd have skipped college/university life for the most part, I also think she'd take some short night classes for fun/personal enrichment as an adult! A business class here, a cooking class there.... maybe even some writing classes to up her blogging game!!)

Uehara Yui was supposed to be the culprit! But she ended being a recurring character.
So I find this reddit post:
I looked up the source the starting of SDB justice plus says:
I went ahead and made a transcript for it (and tried to translate it):
tl:
Hello, it's Aoyama!
Of course it's coming out: JUSTICE+(lol)
When it comes to the police department and FBI, it's romantic comedy after all, right?(lol) Although in the FBI there's almost no romcom. (There is love, though..)
The relationships in the police department are a jumbled mess <3. Starting with Takagi and Sato, Yumi and Shuukichi, Shiratori and Ms. Kobayashi. Chiba and Naeko, Megure and Midori… Amuro and Azusa? (lol), etc…
Among them, there is only one unfolding outside of Tokyo. Nagano Prefectural Police's Yamato Kansuke and Uehara Yui. Actually, Yui was a culprit!(lol).
When I came up with her name based on the fictional names('Yuu hime' and 'Ko-i hime') of Takeda Shingen's beloved wife, Suwa Goryōnin, I felt like "I want to make her the heroine of this case…" So, I quickly adjusted the dialogues. (While the assistants were sleeping. It took 2 hours.(lol))
When I showed the completed draft of first chapter to the editor in charge saying "This character is no longer the culprit…", The editor was like "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-t?!" This really happened. (lol) For this reason, Yui looked like the culprit until the end. (Well, naturally. She was supposed to be, at first.) I personally think it ended up really good.
Since she became the heroine, I put in the intense romcom with kansuke. When I added the strategist, Mofurushi Taka'aki, apparently Nagano Prefectural Police became the strongest. (tl: The word for 'strong' is the one used for strong coffee.)
If Kuroda stayed in Nagano at that state, justice would have been served even without Conan.
transcript:
etc…

I like thinking about what Amuro has heard about KID secondhand considering the company he keeps. Azusa's a big enough KID fan to incorporate it into her blog, Sonoko idolises KID as do the Detective Boys (though they do it differently), Kogorou and Ran frequently are involved in heists not to mention Conan is the KID Killer who considers him a playmate of all things.
Rei's jurisdiction isn't Phantom Thieves but the general consensus seems to be that KID is a frenemy type figure to the Japanese police who they will catch not harm but can also use to their advantage when their goals align without much harm happening to them or the public (Zero seemed to have fun at the Queen's Bang too, it's nice to see him share the other detectives' desire to match wits with KID), though he'd a a good ally or a horrifying terrorist/assassin if he wanted to be. Does Rei suspect him of working with Akai or Vermouth courtesy of the Mystery Train? I kind of want to see Rei's reaction to finding out KID photographed Okiya's voice-changing choker in use.
I wonder what the Underworld thinks of KID and therefore Bourbon. Kaito's interacted with Chat Noir, Dark Knight: Nightmare, Lupin III, as well as Spider and Snake/Jackal & Rose. He helps some criminals, exposes others and is open to competition. He operates in the shadows and the spotlight but isn't exposed to either world, he's simultaneously exploitable and dangerous to mess with (he always gets payback). Generally if you leave him and his alone he leaves you alone though, he's not like a vigilante. His skills are high demand and his secrecy makes him anear urban legend if not for the media coverage.
If he did find out, Rei would be interested in the association with Vermouth, and be impressed that KID got that picture in the first place... even though he had to give it up.
As for the Underworld... hopefully, they either take advantage or leave well enough alone.

Don’t know about Azusa but as someone who’s favourite boy is Subaru, I can confirm that he’s no better than any of his brothers in terms of respecting women lol. Even in a fairly new game like lost eden, where all of them are intended to be nicer, he harasses Yui in Kou’s route and forces himself on her, despite her telling him "no".
I don’t see any point in playing moral police here. Rejet will always let them keep some 🚩 no matter how many games pass. No one has to excuse their behaviour, just enjoy this series of games in peace.
// Yup, I agree.
Moreover, you made me remember that LE scene, and I’m sorry, I know it’s not supposed to be funny but I always find it so UNCOMFORTABLY hilarious.
So many things happen in such a short scene and Subaru’s “behave!” made me imagine Yui as a disobedient dog, lol.

I- Azusa, why, why?!
She asks him if he prefers bread for breakfast (as in, not something most Japanese would do) based purely on "Just kind of from how you look... you are blond, after all..."
Amuro, of course, says "You'll need to dig a little deeper for that to make logical sense!" which to me is a kind of... tactful and polite way of saying "wow, you're showing your prejudice a bit there, want to try again?"
It kinda hits harder after learning more about his past in both the Detective Conan chapters where he thinks more about how Elena Miyano connected with him when he was young, and Wild Police Story, where Wataru Date defended him from similar remarks made in much less polite ways (i.e, academy canteen bullying).
He's used to this sort of attitude - the old "you don't look Japanese, so is your lifestyle less Japanese as well? Do you prefer less Japanese styles, or foods?" which... when people can easily have non-Japanese ancestry but can also have never lived outside of Japan? Is really prejudiced and rude.
What I will say is that since this attitude is so ingrained in many ways, it doesn't say as much about an individual as it does about social norms. My standard is less "wow, that individual is doing this, that means they're bad" it's more "if that person was told how rude they were being, would they accept it and apologise?"
Sure it'd be nice if no one had to learn, but that's not a very forgiving mindset.

Boyfriend scenario for Azusa x Ichigo, yandere and NSFW stuff is okay but it's all up to you 😁
Azusa holds on to Ichigo as she snuggles into his arms he looks at her slightly confused as vampires are cold and there is nothing warm about them physically as he thinks that he runs
his hands through her red hair and before he could even speak his thoughts she thought police speaks
I love you dearly even if you're cold I feel warmth in you
that made his Undead heart beat slightly faster
He runs his fingers through her hair as he feels that feeling and holds her tightly before speaking if that is what you want then I shall accept that

A sequel to Azusa and Ichigo's first meeting, he finds out why she's sleep deprived. She has an ex that won't leave her alone, blowing up her phone and stalking her apartment. Some dark fic and yandere protective Azusa
Ouuu la la I love this <3
================================================================================================
TW: Dark, protective, twisted comfort
Azusa had seen tired eyes before—he lived with them. But Ichigo’s were different. She smiled like she meant it, laughed like she didn’t hurt, but her eyelids were bruised with sleeplessness. At first, he didn’t ask. He just watched. Counted the way her hands trembled when her phone buzzed. Noticed how her smile faltered when she checked it. It wasn’t until he found her curled up in a stairwell behind the school, phone still buzzing in her hand, that he finally spoke. "...Ichigo..." She jolted, but didn’t scream. Just wiped her eyes with the sleeve of her oversized sweater, trying to smile again. “I’m okay. Just tired.” "...You always say that..." Azusa crouched beside her, staring at her with that empty, hollow gaze that made most people uncomfortable. But not her. She looked like she was about to break, and maybe she already had. "Tell me... why you’re not sleeping..." His voice was low, almost sweet. Ichigo hesitated. But maybe it was the quiet in Azusa’s voice. Maybe it was the way he didn’t flinch from her pain. Maybe it was because she was too tired to keep hiding it anymore. “My ex… won’t leave me alone,” she whispered. “He keeps calling. Texting. I blocked him, but he uses different numbers. He was outside my apartment last night. Just… standing there.” Azusa’s head tilted slightly. "...And no one has... stopped him?" She shook her head. “The police said unless he physically harms me, there’s not much they can do. I… I don’t want to stay at home anymore.” His eyes glinted, but not with sympathy. With something deeper. Darker. "...He hurt you... even if he didn’t touch you...” Ichigo blinked, startled by the conviction in his voice. Azusa’s hand reached for hers, gently, like he was handling something fragile. When she didn’t pull away, he held it tightly. He leaned closer, his breath warm against her cheek. "...You’re mine now... right?" She froze. “…Azusa?” "If someone makes you scared... makes you cry... they’re hurting you. That means... they need to hurt more." His smile was calm. Delicate. Deadly. She didn’t know what disturbed her more—that he meant it… or that a part of her wanted him to. That night, her phone didn’t buzz once. The next morning, Ichigo woke up in the school infirmary bed with a blanket tucked carefully around her shoulders. A warm compress on her forehead. A small note beside her:
"Sleep now... he won’t bother you again. I promised... didn’t I?" – Azusa
================================================================================================
It had been three days since Ichigo last heard from her ex. No more texts. No more calls. No more shadow beneath her apartment window. The silence should have been a relief—but it was too quiet. Wrong, somehow. Especially after Azusa’s note. She hadn’t seen him since that day in the infirmary, and that only made it worse. The air around her felt too still, like the world was holding its breath. That evening, Ichigo gathered her courage and went to the Mukami mansion. Yuma answered the door, eyes narrowing when he saw her. “Tch. You. Came lookin’ for Azusa?” he grunted. “He’s in his room. Hasn’t come out since yesterday.” “…Has something happened?” Yuma didn’t answer. Just stepped aside. She found Azusa in his room, sitting on the edge of his bed, quietly bandaging his own hand. There was blood soaked through the gauze. More than there should have been. He looked up at her. “…Ichigo…” She stood in the doorway, heart hammering in her chest. “Azusa… what did you do?” He tilted his head slightly, as if confused by the question. “…I kept my promise,” he whispered. “You’re sleeping better… right?” She stepped inside, the air colder here than in the hallway. Her gaze landed on his knuckles—raw, cracked. The way his shirt sleeve was stiff with dried blood. “You said… he wouldn’t bother me again,” she said, voice shaking. “But I didn’t think… Azusa, did you—?” “I didn’t kill him,” he said, softly. “But… maybe I wanted to.” He stood slowly, approaching her like she might break. Or run. She did neither. “I saw him… waiting for you again. I asked him to stop,” Azusa murmured, voice fragile and monotone. “He smiled. Said… you always come back to him.” His fingers curled into a fist again, trembled. “So, I broke that smile.” Ichigo’s breath caught. “I didn’t want you to be scared anymore,” he whispered. “You said… you were tired. So, I made it stop. I hurt him… because I like you.” The room fell into silence—tense, electric silence. She didn’t move, and Azusa reached out, slowly touching the side of her face. His hand was still bandaged, but gentle. “…Do you hate me now?” he asked, and for the first time, his voice cracked. “Because I’m not… like other people?” Ichigo’s eyes blurred with tears—but she didn’t pull away. She wrapped her arms around him, burying her face in his shoulder. “No,” she whispered, voice shaking. “I don’t hate you… I’m scared. But not of you. I’m scared of how safe I feel when you’re near me.” Azusa's arms wrapped around her so tightly it almost hurt, but it was grounding. His voice trembled next to her ear, “…Then let me protect you. Even if it means doing things you don’t want to know about.” Her heart skipped. “Just promise me one thing,” she whispered. “…Anything.” “If I ever start becoming afraid of you… promise you’ll stop.” He was silent for a long moment. Then:
“…I won’t let you be afraid. Of anything. Not even me.”

Up to movie 22! I can't believe I'm almost at 23, the best DC movie. But I still have this one to get through first.
Of course Shinichi knows the record for the highest a drone can fly. The king of weird facts.
It's too early in the movie for you two to look pretty. Not fair.
We're starting off with a very violent explosion I see.
Or, Agasa, you should tecach the children to take turns like a normal person would.
Well that isn't good news for Amuro. If Ai noitced, you know that the BO did too. Is this going to have BO involvement?
The synopsis did say Kogoro was framed. I have to wonder how they managed to achieve that, however.
She deserves the world. Gosho, you should give her the world.
This episode shows you why the police aren't your friends. Also why is Ran calling Shinichi and NOT ERI. ONE OF THEM IS A LAYWER AND HER MOTHER.
This movie already is getting on my nerves.
Shinichi, Amuro has always been your adversary. He almost fucked up your plan with Akai for a personal grudge. He almost got Ai killed (someone you said you would protect with your life). I'm sorry, but I really hate how lightly Shinichi treats Amuro when other people have gotten his scorn for less actions.
Finally, Ran remembered her mother is a lawyer and went to her. Who she should have gone to first but we gotta push the bad romance~
Awww, thank you Agasa for reminding Shinichi not to take it out on Ai.
Ran, trust your mother's judgement. She is the lawyer. She knows what she's doing.
So Nasa is known as Nazu in DCMK.
Honestly, I think they should let Shinichi be more pissed off.
LMAO I do love Azusa shutting down Amuro's comment about being a good wife. She's not for it. She only cares about profits.
Shinichi, you should recognize the "I'm just going to the toilet" excuse for what it is. This is just embarrassing for you.
Does this man not change his suit?
Shinichi, why are you admitting your crimes to a police officer? Your lucky he won't do anything about it but what you just did was a crime that could get you in a lot of shit.
Shinichi isn't even bothering to be "shinichi" to tell the truth.
Ran don't get flustered about that. If Shinichi is a decent person, he would do this without any connection. Also Shinichi can you fucking NOT insult Ran. It's not playful when you do it to her because you're an ass to her and you genuinely do treat her like an idiot who doesn't deserve to know as much as you do.
Sorry, I'm just realising why I don't see many people talk about this film unlike the others.
Shinichi entered the matrix.
Pile ups are becoming common in Detective Conan movies.
Of course Ran is where the danger is. Can't have a movie without her being a damsel in distress who needs to be saved by Shinichi!
CAN WE FUCKING NOT. Sorry I'm throwing up because they're also making Eri a school girl whose blushing over being protected by Kogoro (who is also in danger but is calm because the men get to be cool).
I'm sure this tall place won't be in any danger at all. None at all :)
I wonder if these public security know that they're using children to fly a drone to "defend this country".
"I tried to ruin a family for my petty revenge." God this movie is fully of bad people, isn't it. Amuro and her would get on great though.
Imagine being a part of this evacuation though. You were told to go somewhere safe and then the police go "lol we made a mistake, this place is where the actual danger is".
Genuinely, I really hate the contrived danger they put Ran in so they can have Shinichi be all worried about her and not the thousands of other lives in danger as well.
Give a cheer for Amuro's car, the true MVP in this movie.
Fuck. Off.
Shinichi: Do you have a girlfriend, Amuro?
Amuro: Shinichi, I'm gay, just like you.
Shinichi: I'm what?
They're being very obnoxious with the "Ran"s this movie, aren't they.
LMAO I find it kind of funny how pushed the romance was this movie and they just showed the conclusion in the ending credits which was just Shinichi going "Oh, glad you're alright."

I just imagining myself as Master Poirot. One day, I gave my two employees (who I suspected were dating) tickets to the exhibition.
Later, that night, when the exhibition should've closed, I called one of them about cafe opening hours tomorrow and he said he would tell his colleague because they were still together, so I didn't contact her.
The next morning, I found them both sleepy and yawning a few times.
"Last night was so tiring. I'm so sleepy right now," said my male employee as he yawned.
"Still, I was too excited last night. I woke up late this morning," said my female employee with sleepy eyes.
I thought, what made him tired and what made her excited last night? Then I concluded that my suspicions were right. It wasn't a rumour anymore, was it? So I told everyone, including my substitute who seemed to have a crush on my female employee.
I told him wisely, "You should just give in. She seems happy with the new handsome part-timer at Poirot."
I don't know what happened next, but I heard that my substitute came to the cafe just to make sure that my handsome male employee was suitable for my sweet female employee.
Oh, I heard them denied it too. It seems like they are still shy, or they don't want to make their relationship public yet. But I'm still sure that they are dating.
Lol, I would love a fic from Poirot's Master POV
from his POV they really must look like a couple (●'◡'●)
Oh, so you think Reita has a crush on Azusa huh. I made a poll and 50% believe he does and 50% don't.
I'm more inclined towards him liking her. Maybe platonically? Like how the police officials were with Sato? well, he is 15 years older than her 🤔
