UNIQLO has announced a collab with Detective Conan that will go live online and at their retail stores on May 22, 2023. Seven T-shirts will go on sale outside of Japan. While most of these shirts are based off specific characters, a few are also based off certain scenes from the series, such as “Conan vs. Kaito Kid” (76), “Reunion with the Black Organization” (176-178), and “The Desperate Revival” (190-191).

As part of this collab, UNIQLO’s magazine also did an interview with series creator, Gosho Aoyama.

Today I do not bring you an unpopular opinion, but rather gossip-news. Today, voice actor Toru Amuro (who played the character of the same name in Detective Conan), issued a public apology:

In other words, he took advantage of his position as a voice actor, committed adultery and domestic violence. And the blow probably caused her to spontaneous abortion.

just gonna theorize for a bit based on what i know about furuya/amuro/whatever his name is

like he's established to naturally have blond hair and was teased for it (which made more sense in japan like 30 years ago but i feel like city kids at least would've gotten over this by now. but. you know. we're gonna put aside the whole Time thing) as a child (i think this was in ZTT?)

BUT akai (like i read spoilers about him and apparently he's a hafu?) is dark-haired.

and i know from like personal anecdote (of basically my boss when i worked as an undergrad library assistant who's Japanese American, married a white man, and had kids who married white people, so their quarter-Japanese grandkid was blond as a baby) and also from theory of genetics that that's how genetics works.

so my conclusion is that Furuya Rei is a クォーター (kwootaa).

which makes it kinda funny that he's in the Japanese Public Security Bureau.

This man takes advantage of his character and the popularity of Amuro to invites a fan to a hotel and abuses her. Unfortunately this stains the character, therefore Amuro's voice actor needs to be replaced!!
