This is why streaming is dying.
I'm Canadian, and I used to watch Star Trek on Crave. Crave saved us for awhile from the fracturing of the streaming landscape because it stayed as an umbrella service for quite some time. I used to get Star Trek, HBO, WB shows, Starz, Sony stuff...basically Hulu + HBO + Paramount. That was actually worth it because for the same monthy fee I could get House of the Dragon, Star Trek and more.
But that wasn't going to last forever. When Paramount+ launched in Canada, Star Trek got taken off Crave. I'm a huge Star Trek fan but even I couldn't justify a FIFTH streaming service just for Trek.
So I waited until Discovery was finished. And then I binged it and season 4 of Lower Decks. And then I cancelled. I won't get it again until S3 of Strange New Worlds and Season 4 of Lower Decks are finished, then I'll binge and cancel again.
There is literally nothing else on P+ I want to watch. I looked, because if there was something I'd cancel Netflix for a bit. But it's all movies I've seen and don't want to rewatch, shows I already have access to on other streamers, or things I have no interest in.
When the networks were working together to put lots of tasty treats under one streamer, it was absolutely worth it. I'd pay $20 a month for Crave if HBO kept making good shows (instead of cancelling them, RIP Our Flag Means Death) and if P+ had lots of Trek (and...didn't keep cancelling those shows like they did Lower Decks and Discovery.) Between that and Trek that would mean I always had a show releasing on the platform that I wanted to watch.
As long as there isn't a steady diet of things that appeal to me, I WILL keep subscribing, binging, and cancelling. Churn is the reason these networks aren't profitable. But there is literally no incentive for me to NOT do that when the things I want to watch are scattered across 5-6 different streamers, each charging $15+ a month.
In trying to get their slice of the pie, the networks have guaranteed there isn't enough food on their buffet to keep people coming back for more.
It creates a vicious cycle. This fracturing means there's not enough budget to support the flagship shows/franchises. Then, they get cancelled and/or budget reduced. So they take away or vastly reduce the thing I want to watch the most.
PLUS none of the networks are nurturing the cult hits/franchises of the future. Shows that have the potential to be the reason I subscribe are being cut off at the knees after virtually no promotion.
I watch every new show like Dead Boy Detectives knowing there is a very high likelihood that this will be the only season I'll get to watch. So much potential is left on the table. If there were four or more shows like Dead Boy Detectives and Kaos getting ongoing commitments from Netflix I wouldn't even consider cancelling my subscription. Instead, I know that any show that isn't an immediate cultural moment is probably getting the axe, or getting two seasons, max. Especially if it's SF&F. Especially if it's queer.
We live in the world where even the critically-acclaimed and franchise-based House of the Dragon is getting truncated episode runs and reduced support.
Regardless of how you feel about how Game of Thrones ended, that franchise is a cultural juggernaut. House of the Dragon is legitimately good and packed with talent. The rough patches of Season 2 can be easily traced back to reduced budgets/cut episode run at the last minute that forced the production team to scramble and adapt.
Honestly. Is there anyone actually committing to their series other than FX, AMC, and Amazon with Rings of Power? Although RoP can also be considered a sunk cost fallacy since Amazon invested a SHIT TON into the IP and the series, so they need it to work. They also have a wobbly track record supporting other shows. (I will never forgive them for cancelling A Leage of Their Own.)
FX and AMC are the only networks that feel like they're actually supporting their content. And what do you get for that? Shogun, one of the best shows in recent memory. The show absolutely swept awards season (and rightfully so) and is now setting itself up to be a tentpole show in the mold of such classics of the historical fiction genre like Deadwood, The Tudors, and Rome.
Interview With the Vampire, is an AMC show which has a very active and passionate fandom eager for more of it and Anne Rice's Immortal Universe. This is a rare example of a new franchise (albeit based on an existing, well-know IP) is really finding its feet and its audience. The audience for it is not of the size of something like House of the Dragon, but AMC is feeding the audience it does have unapologetically, with queer camp horror full of messy, toxic relationships.
Then there's What We Do in the Shadows, which seems to be ending on its own terms this year. FX is a Disney subsidary which somehow manages to commit to the series it creates, which proves it can still be done.
I do hope that FX and AMC continues to support their weird and wonderful shows, and I hope they keep getting rewarded for it with high ratings and awards so that the rest of the networks will smarten up.
If we hadn't just come out of a golden age of streaming where every network was producing excellent TV, all of this heavy cancellation and fragmentation wouldn't be quite so devastating.
Entertainment seems like it's constantly in a feast or famine churn. Right now, we're careening toward famine, which is full of one-season shows, overextended franchises, flagship shows being cut/restrained and a whole lot of cheap dreck.
It's the reality TV heyday all over again and I hate it.

The pages in this category are redirects from names that are unsuitable for inclusion in a printed version of Wikipedia. To add a redirect to this category, place {{Rcat shell|{{R unprintworthy}}}} on the second new line (skip a line) after #REDIRECT [[Target page name]]. For more information follow the links. Never substitute redirect template(s), nor place them on soft redirects.
See also the complete list of redirect templates and the redirect style guide.
This is a maintenance category, used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project. It is not part of the encyclopedia and contains non-article pages, or groups articles by status rather than subject. Do not include this category in content categories.
This is a tracking category. It builds and maintains a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. They are not part of the encyclopedia's categorization scheme.
This category is hidden on its member pages—unless the corresponding user preference (appearance → show hidden categories) is set.
These categories can be used to track, build and organize lists of pages needing "attention en masse" (for example, pages using deprecated syntax), or that may need to be edited at someone's earliest convenience.
These categories also serve to aggregate members of several lists or sub-categories into a larger, more efficient list (discriminated by classifications).
"Unprintworthy" redirects are redirect pages on Wikipedia that aid online navigation, but would have little or no value as pointers to target articles in a hard-copy book. The name of a redirect may be unprintworthy for a number of reasons, including being nearly identical to the name of the target page, containing typographical errors, or not being encyclopaedic. Redirects are not unprintworthy just because the name may be offensive to some, unless the name is also not encyclopaedic.

2nd Degree Trinomial Rules
Solve by factoring
a x c = # II a + c = b
Do t-chart. Refer to Algebra 1 stuff if needed
If the factoring isn’t working, do this…
1. Standard form (everything on one side of equal side = 0)
2. Factor out greatest common denominator
3. Ignore original equation and proceed with t-table
4. Once you get the factors, add them in as gx” and “fx” into the “abx” area
ax^2 + bx +c
ax^2 + gx +fx + c
5. Split into 2 parts and find gcf then for use the common gcf as the other thing to multiply
(a+b)(a+b) or whatever

3/ Odds Indo (Indo Odds)
5/ Odds Mỹ (US Odds)
a1 = 1/b1 = 1/1.5 = 66.6%
aX = 1/bX = 1/2.4 = 41.6%
a2 = 1/b2 = 1/3.5 = 28.5%
T = a1 + aX +a2 = 66.6 + 41.6 + 28.5 = 136.5%

Crit Role Miniature Rollout: C3E37 From the Boughs
With Andrew Harshman
An archive and analysis of the minis used on CR.
Wooey what an epic tree! Very metal! -errr, I mean lumber, very lumber! But more on that later. Rad storytelling and mechanics on display in this episode / combat. How many times are they going to have to fight ol’ Delilah B anyway? She just won’t quit!
♬ When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall ♬ [dice roll] and take 5d6 damage, it’s time for Crit Role Miniature Rollout Campaign 3 Episode 37!
The List
Mats by Mars: Shattered Soil Tabletop Play Mat
Dwarven Forge Wildlands Set
Dwarven Forge Mountain Peak Pack
Dwarven Forge Mountain Elevation Pack
Dwarven Forge Wildlands Tree
Real Game FX Fog Monster Fog Machine
Hagglethorn Hollow Sundial
Campaign 3 Party Wizkids Sculpts
Warhammer Underworld Shadespire: The Sepulchral Guard skeletons
Monster Menagerie #07 Specter
Skeleton #45 Lords of Madness
Tomb of Annihilation Skeleton Key / Skeleton
Halloween tree decoration with custom clay sculpting
Excellent question @eldritch_DM thanks for soliciting this answer from Matthew Mercer. Wow, what a crafty dungeon master! Check out them trunk sculpting skills.
Quite the improvement over the early Campaign 2 swamp troll stump (meaning no offense of course). As I said, a mighty epic tree! The Sun Tree deserves no less.
The Monsters/Villains
Delilah Monster Menagerie #07 Specter Mini image sourced from minisgallery.com
Why does spirit form Delilah look like Imogen’s hair? It’s as if when she lost her hair, it animated into a malevolent wig wraith. This Specter mini doesn’t photograph super well, but it has a certain pop to it in person. Decent miniature choice. But such an infamous villain is deserving of a more loft model imo. If/when Delilah returns, I would expect a custom model.
Skeletons Warhammer Sepulchral Guard skeletons
An interesting skeleton situation in this episode. We have two of the best in the biz appearing onscreen alongside some of the worst. The Warhammer Sepulchral Guards are metal af. Spectacular poses and cast fidelity. With the exception of Campaign 1 final form Vecna, it is a rare occasion that a Warhammer model appear on Critical Role. But here we are. What a delight. The downward swing skeleton is one of my all time fav skellies.
skele-poots Tomb of Annihilation Skeleton Key / Skeleton Mini image sourced from minisgallery.com
Gods awful. Garbage. I own these models, I don’t have the heart to throw them away, but I actively avoid using them on the tabletop. There are so many variations on this figure, what an absolutely waste of plastic.
Skelington Skeleton #45 Lords of Madness Mini image sourced from trollandtoad.com
There is a subtle brilliance to the posing and sculpting of this figure. A certain slackness, jerky, distinctly reanimated appearance to this pose. Also, the skull of this skeleton actually looks like a skull, unlike the skele-poots. This model also comes in an axe variant, which I think I might prefer, because, let’s face it, this sword looks busted.
See ya next sesh!

Into the darkness Post mortem
What I learned
how differant a rigid body based controller is compared to other character controller unity has developed.
varies of ways to make particles, including making a swirl flame thrower type flamethrower.
Prototyping a similar level to the final planned game and testing out game mechanics to rebalance them.
I managed to improve my level design with unity's terrain builder and object placements while still keeping my eyes on the stats of framerates, draw calls and etc. I evenly managed to get the game to play mostly above 60 fps.
Most of the assets I used were close to its artistic style as possible which I intended it to be a little cartoony and low poly as possible, except for the blood slash image that looks too real rather than cartoony.
improved some of my pro builder skills by making some building layouts, adding textures and ammo (except for assault rifle mag).
Using 2 scripts for players Ammo. one to determine which ammo it is ammo type by a public enum and the other for working on public methods to increase or reduce ammo from certain ammo pickups that match the ammo type enum and player shooting respectfully.
improved flashlight system that decays light and angle slowly when used and can be restored by picking up a battery.
Pausing the game using time scale and unlocking its cursor to be seen by player for menus until they replay the main level.
Making A simpler Enemy AI that spots the player and follows the player to attack them unless the player is too far out of their sight. Also attacks player if provoked.
Differant types of level design flows such as choke points and branching paths.
Find object in type functions.
zooming weopons by fps camera.
switching weopons by scroll mouse wheel.
determining if a gun is requires to hold the mouse key or press each click to fire weopon.
address few common bugs like weapon still zoomed while switching weapons and fire button not occasionally working.
making simple fog and skybox material.
how effective post fx is for dark and eerie places.
using broadcast message code.
enemies to smoothly lerp to look at player.
using physics material to not let the player get stuck on walls.
What went wrong, could I have done better?
I used the grass texture for the "trees" prefab for terrain. I need to use grass for the "details" prefab for terrain in future.
Some of the trees I used weren't designed to move with the wind like their real life counterparts, I had trouble getting those to do so with diffuse. I will need to learn more about how to diffusing with trees in future to get them moving slight right.
The rigidbody controller felt a little differant compared how I used the character controller. I would need to do some testing on both controllers to see which would suit better in my future games.
I added extra prefabs to other prefabs like barrels by houses and spider webs on prison walls respectfully at the last min before launch which took a large tedious amount of time. I will need to plan in advance next time and making various variations of the walls and houses that it doesn't always look like the same house with the same amount of barrels and spider webs respectfully.
I could have made the skeletons say more than just “hello” and can possibly get them to say things like “get out...” or just growl. which I have a random audio array before with the player swinging the axe in another project.
Some of the sounds I used couldn't be played louder such as the player death scream. Next time I will to edit the sounds in Audacity if I can to make them play louder.
Overall I enjoyed making this project to flex my level design and some fps mechanics I learnt. I probably should have no spent so much time on it because I have other projects to do. Next time I do a fps project it would be fleshed out better with other mechanics like animated player fps arms and recoil.

With how much trouble social media post are causing I don’t understand why FX don’t put a stop to the cast posting. Like Carla posted a photo of getting her head shaved but then comes out say I didn’t shave it, it’s an old post.
Like FX do one of two things 1: stop the cast from posting anything to everything Mayans related or 2: let them post stuff from this season of filming but not spoilers of course. Cause shit is getting messy and the cast are getting on the defensive because (rightfully so) the fans are calling them out on all these old/reused posts.
OR
Better yet if you don’t care about the show AXE IT.
Sorry about the aggression, but I’ve never really know of a show and cast to cause so much drama, anger, hurt and anxiety before.
It’s definitely been rough for a lot of the fans to see something they loved so much s1 & 2 turn to complete shit in s3 and all the BTS shit just seems to be leaving an even more sour taste in everyone’s mouth
