omg ok one shot idea- domestic adult leosagi
not adult as in yknow cuz that’s weird i mean like literally them as adults just being flirty and cute and living together
It was late. Well late for some of them members of the household. Leo came out of one of the bedroom and wrapped his arms around Usagi collapsing into his husband.
“The twins take that much out of you?” Usagi teased him while wrapping his arms around him and kissing his cheek softly.
“You know our girls. Full of energy but I think their finally down.” Leo replied and he snuggled into Usagi’s neck.
Usagi hummed but decided to tease more. “And their asleep in their own beds?” He felt Leo tense against him. He knew it.
Leo pulled back and one of his hands went to rub the back of his neck. “Well Ume-chan’s been having bad dreams lately and Sakura-chan didn’t want her to be alone.” Usagi softened at both his husbands words and demeanor.
“Will they be okay for the night?” He asked worries for their daughters.
“Oh ya. But I’ll check in on them later just in case.” Leo reassured. “How’s Jotaro-chan?” He changed the subject as he didn’t want his husband to worry about the girls or his insomnia.
Usagi let it go with a sigh trusting his husband. He pulled him close again wrapping his arms around Leo’s waist. “He’s sound asleep. He wanted to hear the story of how we met again.” Usagi smiled warmly at his husband.
Leo returned the smile, wrapping his arms around Usagi’s neck. “Really? How far did you make it into it this time?” It had been a running joke between them. Jotaro was three almost four, and he had become obsessed with finding out how his parents met and fell in love. He always insisted they tell him the story, even using his younger sisters as a way to prompt them to tell the story more. They always started in the same place though and were now seeing how long Jotaro and the girls would stay awake. So far the poor boy hadn’t made it passed the first time Leo woke up in Usagi’s world.
“You’ll be proud of him. Today we almost made it to your first pick up line.” Usagi said with a smirk.
Leo laughed but was quickly shushed by his husband who desperately didn’t want to wake their toddlers. Leo quited down but continued to giggle. “So he made it one line further then normal. I’m impressed.” The two shared a smile.
Leo sighed and pulled closer to Usagi resting his head against his. He started humming softly as he swayed them back and forth.
Usagi smiled and followed his husband’s lead. “What are you doing?” He asked fondly though he was well versed in Leo’s antics at this point.
Leo paused his humming to respond. “What? It’s been a long time since I got to dance with my husband.” Leo started up his humming again this time changing their swaying to a simple box step. Usagi followed without complaint.
“Funny I thought we danced all the time trying to get the twins to calm down?” Usagi couldn’t help but tease back though he was quite enjoying the quite moment with the love of his life.
“While I love the girls to death and will dance with them every chance I get, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to dance with just you.” Leo whispered quietly into his ear. Usagi paused their dancing to place a gentle kiss on Leo’s lips.
“Then all you had to do was ask my beloved.” And the two began to dance again.

I just love the fact that Usagi gets so nervous after he found out that turtle babies are tiny. I wonder what the rest of the Tenshu gang think/react to Kaida being so tiny. I know the tmnt gang is like it’s just normal, but what is there reactions? I’m guessing Katsuichi’s reaction is just as worried
Part 2
It was early in the afternoon when they finally made it to the Tenshu. Jotaro walked between Usagi and Leo happy to hold onto Usagi’s hand, Leo’s cane was on that side but he would latch onto the fabric tied around it as away to hold on to his Dad as well. Leo had Sakura resting in his hip and Usagi had Ume on his. Kaida was resting in a small pouch around Leo’s chest. They walked though the portal that opened up where it always did now, underneath their tree.
Kitsune and Gen were there waiting for them as the stepped out. “Finally what took you so long Bunny butt?” Gen asked. Ume caught sight to them and imidiatly made grabby hands towards Kitsune. Her godmother quickly moving to pluck her from her Usagi’s arms. She blew a kiss into her niece’s cheek causing the girl to squeal.
“Sorry guys there was a bit of a mishaps this morning.” Leo excused their late arrival as best he could. They were all suppose to come together, but obviously Leo and Usagi had missed the meeting time. The last thing Leo wanted to do was to tell them why they were late.
Usagi’s worry about their daughter’s small size was endearing. But Kitsune and Gen were just as bad. If they knew that the reason the family was late was because Leo and Usagi thought they lost their youngest the two would lose their minds. Kitsune had already considered tying a ballon around the baby’s waist. Which Depending on how big she was when she started crawling Leo might just have to do that. Gen had wanted to stand guard over the little girl as she was ‘much to small’ to be left alone.
Leo love them, truly he did, he hit the jackpot when it came to in-laws. But he wished they’d calm down about Kaida’s size, he had been the same size once. She also inherited his strength, just as Jotaro had, she was far more durable then her size would have you believe. Not that Leo wanted to put that to the test, but he also didn’t want to over baby his daughter.
He had a feeling it wouldn’t get any better once Katsuichi saw her for the first time.
Speaking of which.
“Jiji!” Jotaro cried letting go of his Tou-san’s hand and running off down the hill. There walked Katsuichi who bent down so Jotaro could run straight into his arms. He picked the boy up and spun him around with a playful roar.
“How are you Lionheart?” Katsuichi asked as he tossed the boy in the air and caught him again. The little bunny was giggling up a storm as the big lion approached his parent. “My boy it’s good to see you.” Katsuichi moved Jotaro to rest on his hip and placed his now free hand on Usagi’s shoulder.
“It’s good to see you to Sensei.” Usagi smiled and gave his old master a respectful bow. Sakura started reaching for the lion as soon as he was in sight. Katsuichi turned to face her and Leo with a smile.
“Hello Blossom.” He said as he gently lowered Jotaro down so he could pluck Sakura from Leo’s arms. “Good to see you to Leo-kun.” He smiled at his son-in-law who returned the smile. Leo watched as the old lion hugged his daughter close placing a kiss on her head. “Now where is your sister?” Sakura pointed over at Ume who was still sitting happily in Kitsune’s arms. Katsuichi smiled at the girl and moved over to place a kiss on her forehead as well. “Hello Petals.” He knew better then to separate the little girl from her godmother. He would wait his turn to hold her.
Katsuichi gently handed Sakura off to Gen before turning to face the two parents. “So where’s my new granddaughter?” He was worried when he didn’t see the little one immediately. He had worried about their delay all day. After the twins had been born there had been some health complications. Leo had said that the girls had come a little early and just need extra care. He hadn’t seen them in almost six months after they left. He knew that the children’s health came first, he would never argue that. But he did miss his family terrible when they left. He had been thinking of retiring in Leo’s world so he could be closer to his children and grandchildren.
He still had yet to meet the newest. When he didn’t see a baby or a baby sling as he knew the boys had worn with the others, he started to grow worried. What if their delay this morning was to drop Kaida off as she had gotten sick like the twins had. No Leo and Usagi never would have left her if that were true. But then where was his granddaughter. He was more then happy with the first three children being here, but he really wanted to meet the newest member of their family.
Leo smiled at him and reached in to a little strap across his chest. It was far to small to hold a baby. Then Leo pulled his hand out and resting in his palm was the smallest little baby Katsuichi had ever seen.
He leaned down close to the little turtle unable to process what he was seeing. She was small, fitting in Leo’s palm well. They had put a little yellow bow around her waist. The little girl yawned and blinked her eyes open. She had Usagi’s ruby red eyes. Katsuichi knew some people found the color creepy but to him his boy’s eyes had always been warm and inquisitive. His daughters eyes were much the same as she blinked up at him. She then reached out and patted his nose with her little hand.
Just like that Katsuichi knew he would burn villages to the ground for her. Just as he would for his other grandchildren.
“Do you want to hold her?” Usagi had moved to stand at Katsuichi’s side also staring down at his littlest girl. Katsuichi nodded and held his hands up cupping them together to make sure she had a stable place to rest. Usagi gently picked his daughter up from Leo’s hand and transferred her over to Katsuichi.
The little turtle chirped up at him, before snuggling into his hands.” His heart melted.
“She does the same thing to Usagi-chan. My guess is it’s because you’re warm blooded and she’s cold blooded. The warmth from your hands feels nice.” Leo explained watching his daughter find a new napping spot.
“She’s so small.” Katsuichi whisper in awe drawling her close to his face.
“That’s what I said.” Gen agreed as he held Sakura close. “Strips, you sure she wasn’t early to?” He asked. He was worried that Kaida was to small for her age but he had no frame of reference for turtles. He just knew she was to small.
Leo sighed. “I’m sure, she’s perfectly healthy. She’ll catch up with her siblings in no time. Dad said by the time we were two we were the average size of a toddler if not slightly bigger.” Leo explained to Gen again.
“She’s so small.” Katsuichi repeated looking at the sleeping turtle in his hands. He looked up quickly at Leo and Usagi. “What happens if you lose her?”
Leo chocked on air. Well if they hadn’t answered that question this morning. Unfortunately Usagi chocked at the exact same moment giving them away.
Katsuichi’s head snapped up to look at both of them. “You already lost her.” He said it in a whisper as if horrified, and to be fair to him, Leo would be to if he didn’t have context to the story.
“You lost her!” Gen let out on an angry huff.
“When did this happen?” Kitsune questioned them. Both parties stepped closer holding the twins closer as the did so. Jotaro who had been standing beside Leo shuffled to hide behind his legs. Griping onto his pant leg for comfort. Leo reached his hand down to rest comfortingly on the boys head.
“We didn’t lose her.” Leo started to explain. He was keeping his voice calm for Jotaro’s sake as he didn’t want the boy to feel like anyone was mad at him.
“Then what happened?” That was Gen. Straight to the point and blunt. Leo knew he wasn’t trying to be combative, he just had a gruff way of putting things and always wanted his loved ones safe, so he tried to not let the tone get under his skin.
“This morning when I went to go get her, she wasn’t in her bassinet.” Usagi began to explain.
Leo picked up the story, giving Jotaro’s ears a ruffle as he did. “You all know how much Jotaro-chan loves his sisters.” There was a subtle nod from the group of adults in front of them. “Well he decided he wanted to help us out this morning by getting Kaida-chan for us.” Leo smiled down at his son who gave a shy smile back.
Usagi looked over at them fondly as he continued the story. “He just didn’t tell us what he was doing. So when I went to go get her I thought she was lost.”
“Not lost.” Leo reassured the group. “Just on an adventure with her big brother.” Jotaro’s shy face poked out from behind Leo to look at the group in front of them. Kitsune awed while Gen and Katsuichi let out a laugh. Now that there was context the whole story was rather adorable then horrifying as they initially worried.
“That’s our Lionheart always there for his family.” Katsuichi said smiling down at the small boy. Jotaro ran forward to hug his leg tilting his head up to beam at his Jiji. Katsuichi carefully handed Kaida to Usagi before scooping up the little boy again. “Well we should head inside. We were all quite worried at your delay this morning though I do understand it.” Katsuichi said smiling at the young parents. “But Lord Mifune and Lord Noriyuki have been anxiously awaiting your arrival.” Translation Lord Mifune wanted to see his grandnephew and grandnieces, and Lord Noriyuki wanted to see his big brother Leo and his children.
The family started making their way towards the Tenshu. It was almost lunch time so it was a perfect time to gather everyone together. Usagi watched as his family walked ahead. His children in the arms of his siblings and father. He held his youngest close to his chest and took Leo’s hand with his free one. They shared a smile and a quick kiss before following behind their family.
It was the start of a wonderful visit.

oh my god i love your leosagi kids. could we get a one shot abt a day in the life of our two fav dads?
Part 1
Usagi awoke early as he always did. He opened his eyes and smiled as he saw his husband’s sleeping face. He lingered for just a moment, enjoying the peace while it lasted. Then he carefully removed himself from the bed. He walked to Leo’s side and gently placed a kiss on his husbands cheek. Leo had been out late the prior night helping with an emergency downtown. Usagi would have gone with him but the kids always took priority. So he was determined to let his husband sleep as long as he could.
It wouldn’t be that long. They were traveling back to the Tenshu today. They tried to visit often but they were well over due the visit at this point as it had been three months since their last trip. They had a good reason mind you. Three months ago Hamato Kaida was born, they had waited until she was older to travel. Leo said she was old enough now but to Usagi she was still so small.
He leaned over the bassinet in their room to see Kaida curled up on her side. She could still fit in the palm of his hand. As he said, still far to small for traveling in his opinion, but Leo assured him over and over that it would be okay. They had traveled with Jorato when he was her age and the twins when they were even younger needing to move them to Leo’s world to medical reasons.
Usagi brushed his finger against the sleeping babe’s cheek. She was so precious to him. They all were. And he just wanted them safe.
He turned and made his way to prepare a quick breakfast for the family. As he was doing this he felt arms wrap around his waist from behind. He blew out a sigh as he felt his husband nuzzle the back of his neck.
“I was going to let you sleep.” He said in a quite voice not wanting it to carry to the sleeping children. He could feel Leo’s smile against his neck before a soft kiss was placed there.
“You know I can’t sleep without you any more.” Usagi let himself relax into his silly sap of a husband for a second. The moment ended with a call for “Daddy” from down the hallway. The voice was quite but Usagi caught it easily.
“Sakura is calling for you.” He informed his husband. Leo gave his waist one last squeeze before letting go.
“Duty calls, I’ll get the kids ready.” Leo said as he walked down the hallway. He went to the twin’s room first. Both girls had just turned two about a month ago. Sakura was already up and moving when he entered the room.
“Daddy!” She cried running over to him with arms wide open. Leo immediately crouched down and scooped her up.
“Good morning Flower Blossom.” Leo said as he kissed her check causing her to giggle. “What are you looking for this early in the morning?” He asked swaying them from side to side. He could see Ume starting to wake up from all the noise and commotion.
“‘erry dress!” Sakura responded excitedly. Leo smiled at her.
“The pink one with the matching pink bow that has cherries on it?” He asked her just to be sure. The girl nodded excitedly before leaning into snuggle her father. Leo smiled as he moved around the room quickly locating the outfit. “Do you want help getting into it.”
“No!” Was the quick response as well as a quick grab of the outfit from his hand. He set her down and moved over to Ume as Sakura started to struggle with her clothes. He knew it was better to let her come to him for help than try and help her right out the gate.
Ume looked up at him with big eyes before holding her arms up at him. He quickly scooped her up and kissed her cheek. “Good morning Flower Petals.” The little girl leaned into his arms hugging her dad tight. She was always quite and cuddly in the mornings, but after she fully woke up she matched her twin in energy. “Do you know what you want to wear today?”
Ume looked over to see her sister struggling with the tie of her dress before pointing at her and mumbling, “ap’i’ot” Leo knew what she meant. The twins had matching dresses that were cherry and apricot themed. They were a gifts from Aunt April for their birthday and the girls wore them everywhere. He knew exactly where it was.
“Daddy help.” He turned just as he handed Ume her outfit to see Sakura in her dress. It was tied wrong and her bow wasn’t tied around her head at all more just laying on top of it. Leo held in a chuckle and moved to help her.
After both twins were taken care of he chased them out of the room and towards the kitchen. Usagi had finished making breakfast and quickly sat both girls at the table. Leo turned and move to their sons room. Jotaro could sleep through just about anything, a blessing and curse. On one hand he wasn’t awoken by his sister’s giggling on the other he had once taken a nap under his bed. They couldn’t find him for an hour and the boy hadn’t awoken to their calls.
He pushed the door open to see his almost four year old son sound asleep with his head hanging off of the bed. Leo shook his head and walked over to wake his son up. “Jotaro-chan, wake up Sushine” he called. The boy woke up with a groan before looking at his dad. His eyes widened before he sat up quickly.
“We get to see Jiji today.” The boy was up and moving. Leo laughed though he understood the boys excitement. While they saw Splinter and Draxum all the time it was harder to visit Katsuichi. And it had been a long time since they had done so. Leo knew how excited the man was to meet his newest granddaughter.
“Do you need any help Son?” Leo asked as he watched the boy quickly grab a blue haori out of his closet. It had the Hamato crest on the sleeve and had been a gift to him from the last time they saw Katsuichi. The man had purposely got the boy a bigger one than needed so they wouldn’t need to replace it so soon.
“No Dad. I got it.” Unlike Sakura he did indeed have this as he quickly got dressed. Leo only need to help him adjust his tie around his waist. The two started walking towards breakfast. When they got the the kitchen Jotaro gasped and turned on his heel. “I ‘o’got somet’ing” he cried running back down the hall.
Leo let him think it wasn’t that big of a deal. He walked forward and accepted a plate from Usagi with a quick kiss to his lips. “Thank you Usa-chan.” Usagi smiled and placed his plate next to Leo.
“Where did Jotaro-chan go?” He asked looking down the hallway.
Leo looked up at him before shrugging. “Said he forgot something he’ll be along quickly.” Leo knew Jotaro would never slow them down on a morning when they were going to visit Katsuichi.
“Alright. I’m going to go get Kaida-chan.” When we’re done eating we’ll go.” He said the last part to the girls wanting them to know the plan for the day. As he walked down the hallway Jotaro rushed by him with a quick ‘morning Tou-san.’
Usagi reach his and Leo’s bedroom and approached Kaida’s bassinet. He was surprised she hadn’t started crying yet. But when he got there, she wasn’t there. His heart dropped to his stomach as he quickly moved the blankets around. Kaida wasn’t there. Where could she be? The bassinet walls were to high for her to climb out of. She wasn’t that mobile yet either. How did this happen.
“Leonardo-chan!” Leo heard his husband’s panicked cry. He quickly told their three children to stay there as he ran down the hallway.
He was greeted by a panic stricken Usagi. He was moving around the room looking under everything, picking up objects at random to check underneath them. “Usagi-chan what is it?” Leo asked approaching his husband.
Usagi wiped around to face him throwing his hand up to stop Leo’s movement. “Watch your step!” His eyes where wild and he looked genuinely afraid. Leo was starting to feel terror building with in himself as well. He had only seen Usagi look like that a hand full of times and it was always when someone’s life was on the line.
Leo froze where he was, looking down to see what he was about to step on but there was nothing there. He looked back up and held his arms out towards Usagi. “What is it Usa-chan? What’s wrong?” He asked the question gently hoping to calm them both down.
It didn’t work as Usagi still looked so afraid. “I can’t find Kaida-chan.” He whispered out. “She’s not in her bassinet.” Leo could feel his own heart rate increase. He knew how much Kaida’s small size freaked Usagi out. He also knew that he and his brothers were menaces growing up. He also knew that red eared sliders were climber. He hadn’t thought she could do so yet as she wasn’t even crawling yet, but what if she had?
He walked carefully to his husband watching his step as he did. When he reached him he pulled him close. He could feel Usagi’s trembling, this was his nightmare and Leo knew it. “We’ll find her I promise.” He whispered into Usagi’s ear. “She has to be in the house. We’ll search everywhere.”
“Daddy.” Leo turned to the door to see Jotaro standing there. “What’s wrong with Tou-san?”
Leo tried to smile for him no wanting to panic their children as well. “Hey buddy-“ before he could even finish his statement Jotaro called him out.
“Why a’e you using Uncle ‘aph’s baby ‘oice?” Oh no. The kid knew. Knew that was the voice the his brother pulled out when he was trying to hide his panic and worry. He started to walk over when Usagi stopped him.
“Carful Jotaro-chan!” The boy froze unsure of what to do or what he had done wrong. Leo took mercy on the boy.
“Kaida-chan has gotten out of her crib. We are looking for her. If you would like to help that’s great but you have to watch where you step.” Leo explained as calmly as he could.
But Jotaro looked confused. He tilted his little head to the side his ears flopping behind him. “But Kaida-‘an’s with me.” He said it so innocently. He held up his hands and his sleeves moved out of the way and there was Kaida nestled in his hands just like they taught him to hold her. “I fo’got to c’eck on he’ dis mo’ning.” He said.
Leo heaved a sigh of relief. Their son was obsessed with his youngest sister and how small she was. He always wanted to carry her. Leo felt silly for forgetting that.
Usagi pulled out of his embrace and approached the two children. He fell to his knees in front of them and quickly pulled the two into his arms. “Tou-San?” Jotaro questions but he was greeted with a sob that tore out of Usagi’s throat. The boy panicked and started to apologized. “I’m so’y I won’t do it again.” The boy was starting to cry to. Leo moved to try and do some damage control but Usagi was already on it.
Usagi reached up with his hand and wiped away his son’s tears. “I am not mad at you my son. You are not in trouble.” He started off reassuring the boy. “I was scared. I thought something happened to your sister. Your sisters, you, and your Daddy mean everything to me. I was afraid but that is not your fault.” Usagi tried to explain his own feelings while never blaming the boy as he truly hadn’t meant to cause the panic he did.
Leo came over and crouched next to them, placing a hand on both of their backs. “You’re not in trouble Jotaro-chan. Okay?” He waited until the boy nodded at him. Leo smiled as his son rubbing his back. “Next time tell us when you’re going to get Kaida-chan. I love how much you love her and I don’t want you to feel like you can’t hold her, but please tell us first so we don’t go through this again. Okay?” Jotaro nodded at him again. “Ok. You’re not in trouble, you were trying to help and be a good big brother. We just need to learn to communicate with each other okay?” The boy nodded again and leaned into Usagi more as Leo rubbed his back.
After a moment Leo could hear rustling from the kitchen. He could see that Jotaro was still upset and that Usagi was still shaken. He sighed and stood up. “How about some cuddle time on the bed. I’m sure Jiji will understand the delay.” Usagi looked up at him and gave a hesitant nodded. “Alright. I’ll go get the girls.” Leo leaned down and helped Usagi stand up while keeping a hold of Jotaro and Kaida. The two them split.
Leo headed for the kitchen, he didn’t have to go far. The twins were standing just outside of the hallway. As far as the could go while still following Leo’s instructions to stay in the kitchen. Leo smiled at them. He bent down and both girls rushed forward to hug him. He scooped them up and turned around walking back to his and Usagi’s bedroom. When he entered he saw that Usagi was already sitting up on the bed, Jotaro in his lap as he played with the boy’s ears. Kaida was still in Jotaro’s hands.
He approached the bed and with a playful roar dumped the girls on the bed. They stated giggling instantly. “Alright ladies attack Tou-san. I’ll be right back.” He turned and walked away.
“Leonardo-chan!” He heard his husband call just before he heard the sounds of little body’s impacting and giggles coming form all members on the bed. He smiled to himself and walked back to the kitchen. He grabbed a tray they had for when someone was sick and need to stay in bed. He placed his, Usagi’s and Jotaro’s breakfasts on it and grabbed Kaida’s food as well. The twins had already finished their food so he moved their dirty dishes to the sink. He carried the tray back to the bedroom.
When he entered he saw that the twins had snuggled up to either side of Usagi. Jotaro was still in his lap with Kaida. Leo balanced the tray and pulled out his phone taking a quick picture as Usagi was looking down at their children with a soft smile on his face. “Alright make some room so Tou-san can eat.” Leo called as he walked in. Usagi shot him a look as he did not particularly like having food in the bed, but he’d let it slide as it allowed him to keep his whole family near him for longer. Jotaro handed Kaida to Usagi and then moved off of his lap to sit next to Ume who was the closest to the middle of the bed. Leo sat down on Jotaro’s other side. He handed his husband his food. He took his own plate off of the tray and than placed the tray in front of Jotaro, giving the boy a wider plate to catch crumbs on. Leo held his hand out for Kaida. “I’ll feed her so you can eat.” Usagi was a bit reluctant to let go but he agreed as Leo was already half way through his meal and Usagi had yet to start.
After they finished Leo cleared the bed of dish and placed the tray in the bed side table. They passed the morning in bed all together. Katsuichi would understand their late departure. Usagi need sometime with his family in his arms.

I had thin question on my mind all day but if the past rise gang was to go to the future and meet their future selfs. How would their reaction to everything that happen? Like usagi, the krang ,Casey jr, Leo having kids if they travel that far to the future, what will the interactions be?
I have been thinking about this for a while. The first fanfic I ever read was about a character getting through into their future body and seeing themselves with their future husband. I don’t remember the name but I think about that thing all the time and it’s been over a decade. So let’s see if I can recapture some of that magic.
Usagi’s head hurt. He hadn’t opened his eyes yet but he could tell there was a soft light in the room. There was also a weight resting on his chest. It wasn’t uncomfortable, not at all, but he couldn’t think of what it could be.
He squeezed his eyes tight before blinking them open. He was looking up at a ceiling, but it didn’t look like the one in his room at the lair. He was confused as to why when he tilted his head down to see what the weight was.
He froze. There resting on his chest was a kame. They were fast asleep. Their head resting against his chest, their ear resting right over his heart, and their arms wrapped around his body. His own arms were wrapped around their shoulders. They were laying off to the side a bit but he could feel that their legs were tangled together underneath the blankets. The kame looked familiar, but it couldn’t be, this kame was much older then his Leonardo.
Right as his thoughts were spiraling out of control, the kame shifted against him. They let out a soft groan, tightening their arms around him and snuggling their face into his chest. Usagi felt his face burn at the motion. The kame then spoke
“Mornin’ mi amor.” Their voice was ruff with sleep but had a gentle tone, one Usagi felt like he knew better then any other and at the same time felt like a total stranger. Then the words the kame said registered. Only Leo had ever called him that.
The kame moved their head so that their chin was resting against Usagi’s chest. He finally got a good look at the kame’s face. They looked just like Leo, the same stripes and warm grey eyes. Their eyes even held the same sleepy love that Leo got when he was exhausted or had just woken up. Yet they were also so different. They were older than Leo. His boyfriend was 17 going to be 18 in the fall but this kame was in their late 20s to early 30s.
It couldn’t be Leo. Could it?
Usagi’s heart was racing and his panic must have shown on his face as the kame’s eyes widened with concern. “Usa-chan are you alright?” They asked as they sat up. With their weight off of Usagi it should have been easier to breath and yet, as the kame’s hands moved to frame his face getting close to him to inspect his features, it felt harder to breath now then before.
“Who - who are you?” Usagi tried to keep his voice steady and it almost worked up until the end. Yet the reaction to his question was almost instant.
The kame looked absolutely broken. He let go of Usagi’s cheeks as if he had been burned. He leaned back creating space between them and Usagi took the opportunity to sit up himself. The kame was watching his every move like he would break at any moment.
“Usagi-chan, this isn’t funny.” Their voice was even but Usagi could hear a tremble in it. “It’s me, Leonardo, your husband.”
As if Usagi’s world could tilt anymore. This was Leonardo. His Leonardo. The one he talked to yesterday, the 17 year old who he had made plan with to go on a date tonight. They we getting dinner and going dancing. They had plans. Yet here was Leonardo, much older then he was last night, sleeping with Usagi in his bed and calling himself Usagi’s husband.
While waking up together and being married were all a part of Usagi’s perfect dream for the future. His plan was to live through and remember all of those events. Not wake up after they had already happened! Usagi could feel his breath pick up and his body start to shake. What was happening? Was this an illusion? Was this a dream? A nightmare? Was this the future? Or was it the present and Usagi had forgotten their past?
The last option was the most terrifying. He could see the fear in this Leo’s face that Usagi wasn’t messing with him. That Usagi had genuinely forgotten the life they apparently had together. There was nothing Usagi could do to ease that fear. He didn’t remember anything that this Leo apparently did.
Leo placed a hand on his shoulder. “Usagi-chan I need you to calm down you’re starting to hyperventilate.” He took Usagi’s other hand and laid it flat against his chest. “Try to follow along and match my breathing.” He instructed gently and his started breathing nice and calmly. Usagi did his best to emulate Leo’s breathing. “Good, good, you’re doing great.” Leo praised him.
They breathed together for a few more minutes until Usagi’s breath was back at a reasonable pace. Leo sighed before asking. “Do you know who I am at all?” He looked at Usagi imploringly.
Usagi nodded his head before he spoke. “Hamato Leonardo.” He could see Leo relaxing a bit.
“Good. So based on what just happened, I’m guessing that you don’t remember everything”. Usagi shook his head no. “I thought so.” Leo breathed another sigh, most likely preparing himself for the worst. “What’s the last thing you do remember?”
Usagi opened his mouth and stopped. What was the last thing he remembered? They had been making plans for tomorrow, he remembered that. Then Raph had rushed in, he said something about there being a disturbance downtown? Usagi remembered gearing up. He remembered the ride over in the turtle tank. And then?
“We were on a mission.” He started looking down at his lap instead of Leo hoping it would help him focus. “we were-“ they were what? What were they doing last night? “We were facing someone named Hypno?” That’s right there was a magic hippopotamus!
“Wait was he stealing some sort of mystic hourglass?” Leo interrupted. When Usagi looked up he could see how hopeful the man was.
“Ya I think that’s what he was doing.” Usagi remembered that now.
“This is where you went!” Leo let out with a laugh dropping his head into his hands. “Well, now I know why you never told be what you saw in the future.”
“Future?” Usagi asked. This was the future? This? Him being married to Leo? Him and Leo waking up wrapped around each other in the mornings? This was his future? Sign him up!
Leo lifted his head out of his hands and he had a warm and fond smile across his face. “Yep this is the future, mi amor. A lot better then the one Casey came from.” He chuckled a bit to himself but he kept the warm look on his face.
Now that he wasn’t panicking and wondering who this ‘stranger’ was, Usagi really got to look at Leo for the first time. He had always thought Leo the most beautiful creature in existence.
He was right. The man in front of him was still his Leo, but he was more mature. He had more muscle mass to him, that much was obvious. And while his face was obviously older and more mature it was also incredibly handsome. He had filled out in all the best possible ways. This was Usagi’s boyfr-husband. This was Usagi’s husband! This kami among men, his.
“Like what you see?” Leo asked with a bit of a smirk letting Usagi know he had been caught staring. Usagi blushed but Leo just laughed. “Don’t feel bad, if our rolls were reversed and it was my teenage self here seeing you, I think he’d implode.”
Usagi started to respond but then he heard the sound of footsteps coming their way. Who could that be? They were obviously not living in the lair anymore as there was sunlight steaming in through the windows in their bedroom. Had Leo’s whole family moved as well? We’re they visiting the Tenshu? No he’d know those rooms. Then who?
The door to the bedroom was pushed open “Daddy, Tou-san, can we have muffins for breakfast?” A little white bunny stood there. He couldn’t be older then six with how small he was. He had long ears and white fur but Leo’s eyes and yellow strips on his arms. He looked like a cross between them, something Usagi didn’t think was possible. He was perfect.
The little boy started to make his way into the room when Leo called out to him.
“Hey buddy-“ Leo started pitching his voice.
“Why are you using the ‘Uncle Raph’ voice? Is something wrong?” The boy was obviously distressed and worried, wringing his little hands together. Usagi wanted to go to him but he also didn’t know this child and had no idea how to explain to them what was going on.
“Jotaro-chan.” Leo gently called but no longer pitched his voice. The boy’s attention was instantly on his father and he stopped wringing his hands. “Tou-san isn’t feeling well this morning.” The boy started to perk up ready to offer his assistance, but Leo gently cut him off. “Can you go tell your siblings that you’ll be spending the day with Uncle Raph?” Leo made sure to give the boy a goal as he knew Jotaro loved to help, be he didn’t want Jotaro to have the responsibility of getting his sisters ready.
He also made sure to not tell Usagi if said siblings were boys or girls, older or younger. There were some surprises he wanted to experience with his husband as they occurred.
Jotaro nodded but before running off he ran to the bed and climbed in hugging Usagi tightly. “Fell better Tou-san.” He said. Usagi wrapped his arms around the sweet boy tightly. This was his son. This was their son. His and Leo’s. They had a son together. Not just a son by the sounds of it, but multiple children. Again if this was their future, sign him up!
The little boy let go quickly and scampered off to find his sisters and tell them the news. Leo had already grabbed his phone and was shooting a text off to his family telling them that he need someone to watch the kids as Usagi was out of commission. He would be fine but they needed space, Leo would fill them in later. Raph responded the fastest, as he always did when family was concerned, and let Leo know he would be ready for the kids in just a few moments.
Leo turned back to Usagi who hadn’t stopped staring at the doorway since Jotaro left. “Will you be okay on your own for a few minutes? I need to take care of the kids real fast.” Leo questioned.
Usagi’s head snapped back to face him. “I can help!” He exclaimed starting to get out of bed. But Leo placed a hand in his shoulder stilling his movements.
“I can’t imagine how you have to be feeling right now. You just found out we’re married with kids, but there are somethings I want to keep a surprise.” He could see a fight starting with in Usagi so he quickly played a card he knew always won. “There are things I want to experience for the first time with my husband. I know my past counter part can’t wait to have this with you but let somethings be a surprise for both of us okay?” It worked Usagi nodded his head in agreement. Even with his teenage brain his husband could never deny him when he played the husband card. To be fair he could never deny Usagi when he used it either.
Leo stood up,grabbing a hold of his cane as he stood, and leaned over pressing a quick kiss to Usagi’s forehead. “I’ll be back soon.” And with that he was off.
Usagi sat there looking at the door Leo had closed behind him. He flopped down onto the bed with a huff. He was trying to get his brain to wrap around what was happening.
He was in the future. He was married to Leonardo! They had kids together! More then two by the sounds of it.
But how did he get here? And how does he get back home? This Leo needed his husband back. The kids needed their Tou-san back. (and isn’t amazing to think that.) But most importantly to him, his Leo need him back. What was happing in their time? Was his future consciousness inside his teenage body? Was he telling his Leo that everything was going to be okay? Or was Leo and their families without him right now?
‘Focus’ Usagi thought, ‘one crisis at a time.’ He picked one question to focus on. Starting with the one he hoped he had the answer to. How did he get here?
He tried to remember what happened the night before. Raph got a call about a disturbance downtown. But specifically it was the…..Museum! They had gone to The Metropolitan Museum of Art. There was a new exhibit on display. Part of it was this hourglass that seemed to never run out. It was mystic and Hypno? was going after it. (Usagi was still learning all of the names of the people his boyfriend and family did battle with regularly)
When they got there Hypno had almost gotten a hold of it but they stopped him. There had been a fight, he knew that for sure, but then what? He thought really hard and remembered that Mikey had grabbed a hold on Hypno with his mystic nunchaku but Hypno had grabbed the chain and used it to swing Mikey into the display. It launched the artifact into the air. Usagi had been closest. He had run to catch the falling hourglass. But something had happened. The sand had started to glow. Then he caught it and…..
And nothing. That was the last thing he remembered. He remembered catching the artifact and then nothing.
He sat back up with a sigh. Well that explains how he got here. Mystic madness. But how does he go home?
“Hey ‘sagi-chan.” He looked up just in time to see an older version of Mikey walk into the room with Leo right behind him. “Leo called me. Said that today’s the day you got sent ahead to. What’s the last thing you remember.” He asked as he gently sat on the bed across from Usagi. Leo sat next to Usagi resting a comforting hand on his shoulder.
Usagi looked between them before answering. “We were fighting Hypno. There was this mystic hourglass that got launched into the air. I remember catching it but nothing else.” He hoped that they had a way to send him home.
Mikey hummed and nodded. “That lines up with the events of that night as we know them.” He held his hand out. “Might I check your mystic energy?” Usagi didn’t know what that meant but he trusted Mikey to not hurt him. He rested his hand on top of Mikey’s open palm, he could feel Leo removing his hand from his shoulder. Mikey closed his eyes before opening them again, this time they had a bright orange glow to them. A soft orange glow spread over his body, once it reached their joined hands the glow spread over Usagi as well but it wasn’t orange instead the light became a soft light blue. Lighter then the glow he knew Leo to have when using his nimpo. That glow spread over his body, but it wasn’t the only color. There were swirls of green moving across his glow like smoke.
“Is that the time magic?” Leo asked watching the color swirl over his husband’s body. It was thin and whispy, yet it was there. It was strange looking at his husband and knowing that even though his body was the same as it was last night, his mind was that of his teenage self. While he always loved Usagi he desperately wanted his husband back. Soon if possible.
“Yes that’s what it is.” Mikey said as he closed his eyes again. The glow leaving both of them as well. Mikey let go of Usagi’s hand and opened his non-glowing eyes once more. Usagi felt Leo’s hand return to him this time rubbing soothing circles on his back.
“So Mikey, what do you think?” Leo wanted to know what they need to do to get his husband back.
“It would seem that the spell is temporary. It sent his mind here but only for a short while.” He turned to meet Usagi’s eyes and addressed him directly. “Once the spell times out you should return to your time,” he then looked over at his brother. Leo was hiding his anxiety well. He had to when the kids were here, but with them gone Mikey knew he was still keeping up appearances to not freak this Usagi out. “And our Usagi should awaken, it will just feel like he slept in.”
Leo breathed a sigh of relief knowing that his husband was going to be alright. Usagi looked down in thought. “So that means that in my time there is no future Usagi talking to all of you.” He could feel Leo stuffing beside him and wondered if he asked the wrong question. Then Mikey chuckled as he stood up.
“No. I remember that fight. After you caught the artifact there was a flash of green light. When it cleared you were passed out on the ground. We couldn’t wake you up.” He nodded his head over towards Leo. “Someone almost went feral trying to make Hypno reverse what he did.”
“I was panicking.” Leo called out after his brother. Mikey chuckled as he walked away.
“Judging by how little of the magic remains, the spell should time out in about a half-hour.” He said as he opened the door. He looked over his shoulder at the two still sitting on the bed. “I’ll go make breakfast and then come back to check on you. If our Usagi’s not back by then, we’ll call Barry in for his assessment.” And with that he left the two alone.
They sat their in silence for a moment, before Usagi couldn’t keep his questions to himself any more. “So we’re married.” It was a statement. A hopeful statement but a statement none the less. Leo laughed loudly next to him.
“You just got flung several years into your future body and that’s the thing your brain is stuck on.” He said chuckling at Usagi.
Usagi tuned to face Leo making sure he had the laughing kame’s attention. “Of course it’s the only thing I’m thinking about! It’s all I every wanted!” Oops didn’t mean to say that.
Leo stilled looking at Usagi. Usagi had pulled back, his shoulders curling and his head lowered. It was strange seeing his husband so embarrassed. Yet at the same time it was quite the deceleration. He knew Usagi had always wanted to be with him, but this Usagi was pulled from very early on in their relationship. Surly there were other things his husband had wanted out of life.
“I- for a long time all I wanted was to be the best samurai, to protect those around me, and bring honor to myself and Katsuichi-sama. Then I met you and things changed. While I still wanted those things I realized I wanted you more. This is everything I ever wanted.” Usagi said as he looked up at Leo peering though his lashes at his husband. “Having you as my husband. Being your’s forever. And we get to have kids!” Usagi started to get more excited as he spoke. “I want to know everything but I also don’t want to mess this up.” He froze. When Casey Jr. went back in time he changed his future. What if Usagi changed this? Or messed up along the way?
Leo was still processing what Usagi had just said. There was never a doubt in his mind that Usagi and him were meant to be. That there was no one better in the universe for him. But there were times that Usagi reminded him just how perfect they were for each other.
“You won’t mess this up.” Leo said his tone full of sincerity. Usagi looked at him, Leo could see the hope in his eyes as he continued. “Young me is crazy about you. I still am. There’s no way you could mess this up. So don’t stress about it. Everything falls into place you’ll see.” Leo said as he gently took Usagi’s left hand in his own. Their wedding ring catching the light as he moved their hands up.
Usagi smiled at the sight of the rings in their fingers. They were going to have this someday. Him and Leo were going to be together for the rest of their lives. He got to spend the rest of his life making Leo and their future children happy. He didn’t care what else came in the future as long as he got to have this.
Leo smiled at his husbands joyful face. “You should be going back soon. When you get there I’m going to be hovering. Past me was worried sick over you.” Leo said with a bit of a chuckle.
Usagi met his eyes, and for the first time since he arrived, he was confident enough to smirk at Leo. “Don’t worry I’ll make it up to you.”
Leo laughed. “I know you will.” Leo remembered this incident well. Then his face softened into a fond smile. “You always do.” Anytime Usagi made him worry he was always extra sweet and romantic to ‘make up for it.’
Usagi returned Leo’s smile before looking down, thinking carefully over his next words. “Can I ask one question. I know you don’t want to tell me a lot of things as we should experience somethings together and I agree with you. But can I ask,” he paused blowing out a breath. Then he raised his head to look Leo right in his eyes. “Are we - No. Are you happy?”
Leo’s brain stopped. He expected questions about their lives, their kids, even their family and friends, but not that. “Of course.” The answer left his mouth without much thought. He reached out to place his hand on Usagi’s shoulder. “Usa-chan I am so wonderfully and incandescently happy. I love you more every day. You know how important family is to me, and now I have my own. You and the kids, my siblings and their families, our clan is so much bigger now then I ever imagined it could be.” He paused cupping Usagi’s cheek with his hand. “You make me so happy.”
Usagi smiled brightly. “Then I know everything I need to. Because you make me the happiest I’ve ever been.” He said as he leaned into Leo’s palm.
Leo returned the smile. “You don’t want to know if there are any world ending events or apocalypse coming our way.” He said it in a teasing tone, but when he saw genuine fear start to enter Usagi’s face he was quick to reassure him. “There isn’t. We’re all safe. There are some fights and villains along the way but nothing we can’t face.”
Usagi instantly relaxed again. “I wasn’t worried. There’s nothing we can’t face together.” He said it with youthful confidence that everything would be alright.
It reminded Leo of just how young they had been. How confident his Usagi had always been in their future. Leo was the worrier between them. The Krang and his actions leading to an apocalypse making him constantly stress about his actions and their future consequences. But Usagi had always reassured him. The same gentle confidence that they could face anything as long as they were together, defeat any foe, fix any mistake. Usagi would be there for him and he would be there for Usagi. It was one of the many reasons he loved his husband so.
Usagi’s eyes were growing heavy. It was hard to keep them open. “Usa-chan?” He heard Leo call for him but he didn’t have the energy to respond.
Usagi went limp. Leo quickly caught his husband pulling him close. Usagi’s teenage consciousness must have gone back in time. Now he just had to wait for his husband to wake up.
——————————————————————
“I think he’s waking up! Usa-chan can you hear me!” Usagi groaned as he squeezed his eyes tight before opening them. There was his Leonardo inches from his face. His wonderful, beautiful, boyfriend. He watched as Leo’s face lit up with a smile. He turned his head to the side to call out to the others. “Guys he’s awake!”
Usagi could hear the sound of foot steps coming their way but at that moment he didn’t real care about anyone else. He reached his hand up and used his palm to turn Leo’s head to face his again before pulling Leo down for a kiss. He felt Leo’s surprise before his boyfriend leaned into him and kissed him back.
“Usagi-chan!” The two separated at the excited call of Kitsune as she bounded into the room. She climbed up onto the bed as well hugging them both. She was quickly followed by Gen who joined the hug as well. “We’re so glad your okay.” Kitsune cried out.
“You are okay, right?” Usagi turned to see Raph and the rest of Leo’s siblings pour into the room as well.
Usagi nodded and looked over at Leo again. “I feel great. What happened?” He knew what happened but he wanted to hear their side first while he determined how much to share of his own experience. While part of him wanted to latch onto Leo and tell him everything another part of him remembered what future Leo said. There are somethings he wanted to experience with his boyfriend first hand.
Mikey started telling the story. Their fight with Hypno and Usagi grabbing the artifact. “Leo went to check on you but you were completely out. Hypno said something about the artifact not working for another 50 years. Turns out the thing has a time limit and use limit. Leo asked him what the spell was and how long the spell lasted for? Hypno told us that he wasn’t sure where you went as he didn’t cast the spell and that it could take anywhere from a few minutes to a few years for you to wake up.”
“Hold up.” Usagi interrupted. “It could have taken years?” No wonder future Leo had been freaked out. The idea of being away from his Leo for that long while also trying to fill the shoes of his future counter part was terrifying. He couldn’t imagine how either of the Leo’s had felt.
“Ya you should have seen Strips reaction to that.” Gen huffed trying to bring back the light hearted attitude from before. “He attacked the Hypno demanding he undo it. Spikes had to hold him back.” He was bad at lightning the mood but he tried. Though it did seem some people in the room found Leo’s reaction funny now that Usagi’s life wasn’t on the line.
“I was panicking.” Leo defended himself. Usagi reached out and intertwined there hands to bring his boyfriend some comfort. He’d make it up to Leo for worrying him so much.
“Anyhow we brought you back here to rest. There wasn’t much we could do besides monitor your vitals and wait.” April picked up the story. “Leo stayed up to watch over you. We were about to drag him out for some rest, so you got great timing Bunny Boy.”
Usagi smiled at them, but on the inside his heart hurt for his boyfriend. He knew he worried everyone he could see it in their faces, but if their rolls were reverse and it was Leo who might not wake up for years he would have lost his mind.
“Sooooooo, what do you remember about the future. How far ahead did you go. What was the world like. Was Donnie Tech doing well?” Donnie quickly changed the subject to something he was sure everyone wanted to know. Okay maybe not the Donnie Tech question, but everything else the others would want to know.
“Usagi blinked at him. Time to decide what to share. He reached his spare hand up to rub the back of his neck. “You know I don’t remeber to much. Magic must have messed with my memory. But I do know we’re all safe.” That felt safe and important enough to share. He squeezed Leo’s hand as he talked trying to bring him comfort. He could see disappointment on some of their friend face that he didn’t know more about their futures. Suspicions on others who thought he knew more then he was saying. But Casey was the one who spoke, his face full of relief.
“That’s all that matters then. We’re all safe. That’s better the the future I came from.” His comment sobered the mood but also made the other more thoughtful and grateful for the news Usagi had given them. “Come on let’s give him some space guys. It’s hard to process two time lines at once.” And with that Casey lead the others out of the room. Gen and Kitsune grabbed one more hug before leaving their brother and his boyfriend alone. Usagi wouldn’t let go of Leo’s hand and even if he had Leo wouldn’t have left anyways.
“So is that really all you remember?” Leo asked without looking at Usagi. Usagi looked at Leo before letting out a sigh. His boyfriend knew him well.
“No.” He was honest. “But I was asked not to share to much and I’m going to respect that.” Leo turned to look at him about to ask who had made Usagi promise such a thing but Usagi lifted his free hand to Leo’s check. “What I will tell you is that you are happy in the future. You are safe and happy and the future is better then you can imagine right now.” Leo softened at Usagi’s words and leaned into the hand on his cheek placing his own palm on top of it.
“What about you? Are you happy and safe in the future?” Leo asked the question softly desperate to know.
Usagi rubbed his thumb over Leo’s cheek pulling him closer. “I didn’t get to talk to future me, but if he’s anything but happy he’s the biggest idiot in the world. So yes I would say I’m safe and happy in the future.” Leo smiled at his boyfriend’s response but Usagi wasn’t done yet. He gently placed a kiss against Leo’s lips before pulling away looking adoringly at his boyfriend. “I’m sorry I made you worry. I hate causing to stress.” Leo gave him a shaky smile.
“It’s okay. It’s not your fault and your back now that’s all that matters.” Usagi shook his head. He let go of Leo’s hand so he could wrap his arm around Leo’s waist pulling Leo up into his lap and holding him close. Leo’s now free hand finding a place on his chest and shoulder.
“I know it’s not my fault. Doesn’t mean that it didn’t hurt you. Can I make it up to you?” He asked looking up at Leo face. Leo’s smiled warmly at him.
“And how do you plan to do that?” The question was teasing and Usagi could feel the stress starting to leave Leo’s body as he relaxed into Usagi’s hold. He smiled up at his boyfriend sliding his hand from Leo’s cheek to the back of his head, Leo’s second hand draping over Usagi’s shoulder and back.
“I was thinking about not letting you go for a few hours before going on that date a promised you.” Usagi started.
Leo smiled and laughed, “sounds like a start to me.” He opens his mouth probably to tease Usagi more but he didn’t get to as Usagi pulled his head down into a kiss distracting Leo from anything else for a while.
——————————————————————
In a far distant future a samurai awoke sitting up in the arms of his husband. “Leonardo-chan.” He groaned out. He felt Leo tighten his arms around him. “Why are we sitting up?” He gently pushed himself out of Leo’s hold so he could look at his husband’s face. When their eyes met he saw that there were tears in his husband’s eyes. “What’s wrong my beloved?” Nothing else mattered right now Leo was upset.
But Leo just let out a chuckle before pulling his husband into a kiss. “Nothing’s wrong.” He reassured when he broke the kiss. “I just got to have a conversation with your teenage self.”
“My teenage - that was today!” Usagi pulled back quickly framing his husbands face with his hands. “I’m sorry I had a feeling it was soon I should have warned you. He didn’t say or do anything to stupid did he.” Usagi thought about that memory a lot over the years. He had wanted to pinpoint the moment it would happen so he could warn Leo in advance. He had thought they had more time.
Leo just laughed again. “Not your fault mi amor. And no you didn’t do anything stupid.” Leo then gave his husband a warm smile. “It actually reminded me just how much I love you and how lucky we are.” Leo said pulling his husband into a hug.
Usagi laughed as well. “Then I guess I should be thankful to past me.” He places a kiss on to Leo’s cheek before leaning close to his ear. “But I still want to make it up to you. I know how you worry.”
Leo snuggled deeper into his husband hold. “Your in luck. Raph’s got the kids for the day.”
Usagi smiled. “Perfect. Though I do want to see them later. I hate being away from them for to long.”
Leo tightens his arms around his husband. “I know, I feel the same. One of the many reasons I love you.”

I was just wondering, is usagi a good singer? (Or does usagi even sing) I feel like when leo is playing the violin that usagi would sing for the children. It seems like it's a really good combination between those two. And that like usagi would sing to his children to calm them down or maybe a family member. Idk it seems like usagi would be amazing at singing lol
Okay here’s the thing. Usagi can defiantly sing. He doesn’t sing. He doesn’t think he can sing and he’s embarrassed. Leo had never heard him sing.
Until.
Usagi was trying to put Jotaro to sleep. Leo was out late. The city was under attack and Usagi had stayed home with Jotaro. It was a minor attack only the turtles were needed but Usagi was still worried for his husband and brothers-in-law. It was also the first night that he was putting Jotaro down without Leo there to play a lullaby.
Jotaro was not having it. At five months old he was still fussy about how he was put to sleep. It didn’t help that he was in a daddy phase right now. The little guy always reached for Leo. Usagi wasn’t mad or jealous. How could he be. He loved his husband and son so much and was overjoyed when the three of them were together.
But Leo wasn’t here right now.
Leo want here and Jotaro wouldn’t sleep without his lullaby. Usagi was stuck.
He paced the room rocking Jotaro in his arms. He originally had his common link in his ear to listen to the progression of the mission but after an explosion had sounded with to long of a pause before the brothers started cheering he had to take it out. He was already worried enough he didn’t need the sounds of battle rattling his nerves even more.
He had never sat a big mission out. Granted this wasn’t a ‘big’ mission. Some of Draxum’s oozesquitoes were still flying around even after all these year and had apparently mutated a bear from the local zoo. Leo and his brothers were trying to get the now enlarged and over powered animal to calm down. It was pretty standard for them all. Yet it was still unfamiliar to have to be on the sidelines. He had become a samurai to protect people.
Jotaro started fussing in his arms and he quickly moved to comfort his child. Even now he was still protecting people. He was protecting one of the two most important people in the world. His son. He just wish his husband was also in his sight.
Jotaro was still crying and it was closing in on 2 am. Usagi was tired. He knew Leo would be exhausted from his mission when he got home. He had wanted to have Jotaro asleep before Leo came home. He wanted to treat any injuries his husband might have without having to worry about their son. But Jotaro was not going to sleep without his lullaby.
Usagi didn’t know what to do. He then started humming a tune he knew by heart by now. Leo played the lullaby so much Usagi could sing it half asleep. Wait sing it! Usagi had a terrible voice but it was worth a shot. Nothing else had worked.
He started humming the notes a bit louder before transitioning to sing the words of the lullaby. He knew he mess some up and just straight up made parts up. But it didn’t matter as long as the melody was there.
Jotaro had started calming down as soon as Usagi started to sing. His voice wasn’t as even as Leo’s playing. He had to pause for breaths here and there and he wasn’t experienced in the least but Jotaro didn’t care. The tune plus the rocking was doing as it always did. It put him to sleep. Usagi was thrilled as he made his way towards the crib. He gently laid his baby boy down, kissing his forehead.
He started to pull away from his baby singing the last note of the song when two arms wrapped around his waist. A kiss was placed on the back of his neck and a voice whispered in his ear.
“I never knew you could sing like that.” Leo said as he moved to nizzle the back of Usagi’s neck. Usagi leaned back into his husband’s arms, relaxing in the warm embrace.
“And I didn’t know you were home.” He whispered back placing his hands over his husbands. “When did you get back?”
“Just in time to hear you sing.” Leo said tightening his hold on his husband’s waist. “Why haven’t you sung for me before? You have a beautiful voice.” Leo said as he started walk himself and his husband backwards toward their bed.
Usagi snorted as he let himself be dragged along. “You don’t have to lie to me I know it sounded like crap.” Usagi felt them pause in their movement backwards. Only to have Leo spin him around.
“Don’t say that. Who told you that?” Usagi could tell his husband was upset. It was very reminiscent of their younger selves though instead of Usagi reassuring Leo when he had insecurities it was Leo coming to Usagi’s defense.
Usagi shook his head in a fond way. “No one, I just know I’m not that good that’s why I don’t sing.” Leo stared at him like he had grown a second head.
“Usagi-chan you have a better voice then I do.” Leo said it so seriously. “One of the best I’ve ever heard.” Usagi rolled his eye but Leo pulled him close. “I’m serious. You have to sing for me again.”
“Not tonight.” Usagi quickly denied him. They were both exhausted. “Tonight I’m looking you over for injuries and we are going straight to bed.” Leo pouted at him and Usagi knew he could never truly deny his husband something he truly wanted. “But maybe another day you can convince me to sing to you.” Leo smiled brightly before leaning in and kissing Usagi.
“Thank you Usa-chan.”
From then one Leo could occasionally talk Usagi into sing with him when he played for Jotaro or if he was really luck he could get Usagi to sing to him when it was just the two of them. He knew Usagi was embarrassed and not fully confident in his voice but he slowly grew in confidence.
When Leo get sick Usagi will sing quitely to him as he knows it brings his husband comfort.
But the time the twins come into the picture Usagi is comfortable sing in front of Leo and Jotaro so it’s easier to sing in front of the girls.
Usagi will only sing when they are safe with in their own walls and in need of comfort. He will only do this for his husband and children. His voice gets equates to warmth and safety to the point where if he is singing Leo and the children instantly know they are safe.

Note
We already know what Usagi’s reaction was to how tiny baby turtles are, but what about everyone else’s? Does Splinter have baby pictures he shows to embarrass his sons?
They had just brought Kaida home a month ago. Only a month ago. And Yet their family was already coming over to meet her. Granted they had done the same thing when Jotaro and the twins were born, heck there had been less time after they were born, but Kaida was different. Kaida fit in the palm of his hand, and Usagi was freaking out.
He was so scared. They could lose her so easily.
And now their family was coming over and wanted to see her. They would want to hold her! His little girl that fit in the palm of his hand was about to be passed around their family. What if they dropped her?
Leo had tried to convince him it would be okay. After all he and his siblings were raised in a literally sewer with only one parent between the four of them and they turned out just fine. All fingers, toes , and shells still attached.
On some level Usagi knew he was being ridiculous. Leo was right, he and his siblings were fine. But it didn’t completely settle his worries.
Their family had been more than understanding about the whole thing. Giving Usagi time with just his family. Allowing Leo and him to get used to having four kids in the house. Yet it had been a month and they had four cooing uncles, three cheek pinching aunts, two excited grandpas, and one adopted son all coming over at lunch time.
To be fair Casey had already come over. He was one of their kids, even if he was fully grown. Casey adored his younger sibling and they returned his adoration ten fold. There was no way Usagi was keeping Casey from meeting his new little sister. The boy had come over after a week of them settling in. (The same amount of time they waited before letting people see Jotaro) he had been so excited to meet her only to freeze the moment he laid eyes on her.
Apparently, Casey had never seen a baby turtle either.
He proceeded to freak out about her size, all the while exasperating Leo and validating Usagi. The boy had visited many times since to play with the other kids, each time cooing over how small she is. The boy was even to scared to pick her up!
Needless to say Casey’s reaction did not fill Usagi with confidence about having more people around his youngest. She was just so small. Leo claims to have been the same size but how? How had Splinter kept four of these little ones alive without having a heart attack?
Leo knocked on the door giving his presence away to Usagi. Usagi sat on their bed looking into Kaida’s bassinet. Their daughter laid there fast asleep. ”Alright we’ve got one three and a half year old dressed and ready for company. Two about to be two year olds looking adorable as always. One month year old who I’m guessing is still fast asleep. And-“ he plopped himself onto the bed next to Usagi. “My handsome husband.” He placed a kiss on Usagi’s cheek while wrapping an arm around his shoulder. “You okay?” Leo asked in a much softer voice. He had been quite all though his speech as he didn’t want to wake Kaida but now the tone was gentler as he checked in on his husband.
Usagi let out a sigh. “I still think she’s to small for this.” He said as he turned to face his husband.
Leo let out his own sigh. This was a common argument one he had let Usagi win for a month now. But their family wanted to see their newest member, and see the other kids. He knew Jotaro and the twins had been missing their aunts, uncles, and grandpas. He knew their family missed them to. Yet he never wanted Usagi to feel silly for his fears about their kids. He was right Kaida was much smaller then any of their other kids had been, but she was a healthy size for a turtle. He understood his husbands worry but he also didn’t want to be hovering over their youngest for the rest of her life.
“You trust me, right Usa-chan?” Leo knew the answer.
Usagi grabbed his hand locking their fingers. “With my whole heart.” He looked Leo in the eyes. He knew Leo never doubted his faith in him, it was just the way they encouraged each other to take risks sometimes.
Leo smiled warmly at him tilting his head so that their foreheads touched. “Then believe me when I say today will be fine. Kaida is strong, she our daughter, and our family would never hurt her.”
Usagi let out a breath relaxing into his husband. “I know. I just can’t help myself sometimes.”
Leo smiled back at him. “I thought I was the worrier in this relationship. What are you doing taking my spot.” He got what he wanted which was Usagi’s laughter at the comment.
“Daddy.” Leo turned away from Usagi and Usagi leaned around him to see their child. Or children as all three stood in the door way. Jotaro was in the middle holding on to Sakura’s right hand and Ume’s left. Leo was right they were all dressed and ready for company and looking adorable. Jotaro had on a little blue hoodie that was a smidge to big for him and grey pants. Sakura had on a white sundress with cherry blossoms all over it paired with a pink sweater on top. Ume had on a pair of orange overalls with white apricot blossoms all over it with a white shirt on underneath it. Leo had done a great job picking out their outfits for today.
“Hey kiddos. You guys excited to see everyone?” Leo said turning to face the rest of his children. He opened his arms up in invitation and the kids quickly ran over to the bed. Sakura ran to Leo and Ume ran to Usagi both picked up their daughters sitting them on their laps. Jotaro pushed himself up into the bed next to Leo and stood up. He placed his little hands on Leo’s shoulder and peered into his littlest sisters bassinet. He was enamored with her small size.
Sakura snuggled into Leo’s arms and nodded her head. “Ya! Is Aun’ie Ap’il coming?” She asked hoping for her favorite aunt to be present.
Leo chickened holding his daughter close. “You know it.”
Ume snuggled into Usagi grabbing hold of his haroi and tugging a little to get his attention. He looked down at the little girl resting her head against his chest. “Ki’sune?” She whispered out checking on the status of her favorite aunt as well.
Usagi smiled and kissed her in the top of her head. “She wouldn’t miss it for the world.” He whispered to his daughter. He knew how much his older children were missing their extended family. It was the main reason he had agreed to letting people over. He turned his eyes back to little Kaida still sound asleep in her bassinet. He prayed today went well. He wanted their family to be able to come over at anytime, yet if this went poorly he knew he would hide his family away again. They were just so precious to him, he wouldn’t let anyone hurt them.
Leo’s phone buzzed and he pulled it out with a smile. “It would seem that they are here a little early. What do you say we go greet our guest.” His statement was met by cheers as the children scrambled off of the bed and took off towards the main room. Leo chuckled as he watched the three race out of the room. He then turned to his husband. “Are you ready to join us or do you need some more time alone with Kaida-chan?” The question was gently and sincere. He knew how stressed Usagi was about today he wanted to give his husband the space necessary to prepare himself. Though he knew that time had just been drastically shortened by the early arrival of their family, he didn’t blame them, they were all excited to met Kaida after all.
Usagi breathed in deeply. He was so grateful he had an understanding and supportive husband but if he didn’t go with Leo now he didn’t think him or Kaida would be leaving this room today. He breathed out before smiling at Leo. “I’m ready.”
Leo returned the smile. He waited for Usagi to scoop their youngest out of her bassinet before taking his free hand. The two of them made their way to the living room where they had three impatient toddler huddled around the front door. Leo laughed at them, he squeezed Usagi’s hand and then moved to the door. He corralled the children away from the door directing them over to Usagi before he opened the door and was engulfed in a hug by his big brother.
Raph picked him up and spun him around. “It’s been to long Leo.” He said as he let go of his brother. Leo smiled up at his big brother but before he could respond they both heard the sound of little feet running towards them.
“Uncle ‘aph” Jotaro cried launching himself at his favorite uncle. Raph scooped the kid up with a cheer bring him close for cuddles.
“Where’s my goddaughter?” April called out as she entered the home. Sakura quickly ran to her aunt. April fell to her knees to scoop the sweet girl up into her arms. “Oh I’ve missed you. You’ve gotten so big.
“April you’re blocking the doorway.” Donnie complained as he stepped over April and his niece. His arms were full of presents for the couple and their children.
“Dontron you didn’t have to bring anything.” Leo said rushing forward to help his twin.
“I know. He’s making the rest of us look bad.” Gen remarked shuffling around April and Sakura. Kitsune followed behind him. Ume squealed and rushed her aunt. Kitsune fell to her knees to greet the girl but as soon as the girl was securely in her arms Gen scooped them both up and moved them out of the way of the door.
Mikey, Cassie, Casey, Draxum, the goyles, and Splinter all found their way in as well. Splinter made a bee line for Usagi. “Yes it’s so good to see everyone but tell me where it my newest granddaughter.” He said stopping in front of Usagi. He had with him a bag which Usagi assumed were gifts for their children.
He held his hands out. Kaida was cupped in the palm of his hands blinking sleepily at the world around her all of the noise finally waking her from her nap. Splinter’s eyes widened as he took in the small turtle. She looked so much like her dad. He raised a hand and gently rubbed a finger against her cheek cooing at her. She let out a little chirp rubbing her cheek against his finger.
“Awww. Dad were we really that small at some point?” Mikey asked leaning over his father’s shoulder to see his newest niece.
“Oh yes. I brought picture in case you might want to see.” Splinter responded as he reached into his bag and pulled out a collection of baby photos from his boys past.
“Wait we were so cute!” Mikey called looking at the book in his father’s hands. Usagi leaned forward so he could see the book as well. There was his husband and his brothers all curled together and all the size of their father’s palm. Leo was right they were all that little.
“Orange can you go help your brothers. I think Purple has more gifts than expected.” Splinter asked Mikey who quickly moved to help out his older brothers. Once he was gone Splinter looked up at Usagi. “Leonardo told me about your fears and worries for Kaida. I thought it might help to know that your not alone. I was terrified of how small my boys were and I had no idea how big or fast they would grow. I learned everything on the fly and while I was not a perfect father.” Splinter paused looking down at the images in his book. He took in a deep breath. It was hard to admit how he had failed his sons. “My boys still turned out better then I could have ever hoped.” He looked over his shoulders at where his sons were bickering over Donnie’s gifts or spoiling the older grandchildren. “I just want you to know that it’s okay to be worried but you are already a better father to your children than I was and you have my Blue as your partner. You will not fail her or any of your other children.”
Usagi had tears in his eyes as his father-in-laws speech. “Thank you Splinter-sama.” He said bowing low to his father-in-law.
“Don’t mention it. And if you ever feel overwhelmed remember I’m a much better grandfather than I was a father. I have plenty of experience dealing with small mischievous turtles.” Splinter reassured as he closed the picture book for now and reached back out to rub Kaida’s cheek.
They were peaceful for a moment before Splinter broke the peace. “Try not to worry to much now. You’ll need it for later when she learns how to climb.”
Usagi’s brain stoped working for a moment. “WHEN SHE LEARNS HOW TO WHAT!”

What are Leo and Usagi’s individual relationships like with each of their kids? Do Kaida and Leo like to go swimming? Do the kids each have a parent preference with certain things? Etc!
Leo and Usagi are both very close with their kids.
Jotaro
takes a lot of responsibility on himself. His parents don’t expect him to but he cares for his siblings and want to help.
He loves training with his parents. He has talked up duel wilding katanas as his main weapon choice just like his fathers.
Both of his parents have really unique fighting styles and he learns a lot from both of them.
Outside of training he enjoys spending time with Usagi. He likes his Tou-san calm attitude. They enjoy reading together.
He does enjoy Leo’s more energetic personality and loves playing games with his dad.
Sakura
She’s defiantly a daddy’s girl but specifically with Leo.
She likes clothes and fashion and Leo fully supports her. (Usagi does as well he’s just still getting used to the styles of Leo’s world)
She enjoys dancing and loves dancing with Leo.
Her weapon is a rope dart and her dance movements definitely play into her fighting style.
She does love Usagi to. She loves hearing of their home world and exploring it with her family.
I think she would also be a baker. Another thing her and Leo bond over.
Ume
Ume is also a daddy’s girl but for Usagi.
She is a lot quieter then her sister and enjoys her Tou-san’s steady presence.
She uses fans like her godmother. It’s easy for Usagi to help her because of the amount of time he spent trading with Kitsune growing up.
She loves helping Usagi in the kitchen and grows to love cooking for the family.
She does love Leo and much like her sister enjoys dancing but is not as out going as her twin.
Her and Leo are both younger twins and Leo understands his daughter well. He knows what it’s like looking up to some one only a little bit older then you. Any time the twins fight they go to Leo as it’s a twin thing.
Kaida
Leo and Kaida relationship is different. As the only turtles in the family he get her in away her siblings don’t.
They both love to sun bath and it’s hard to get either of them out of a swimming hole or hot spring.
Usagi is much the same with the other three as Leo will never understand how uncomfortable shedding season is.
Kaida goes to Leo about a lot of things because of this.
That does not mean that she doesn’t trust Usagi. No she will go to him in a heart beat of there is a problem. But her and Leo just have a special connection.
She also duel wields but not with full katanas but a mixture of knives mainly tantos and shurikens

I’ve been thinking a lot about the future of leosagi and what it will be like later in life. I’ve already given a snippet of it in a one-shot but I have their children all planed out.
Jotaro is the oldest and is biologically their’s. Draxum made him using dna. They had the option to pick if they wanted more of Usagi or Leo’s looks to shine through and after many debates Leo won. He insisted that he look more like Usagi. Usagi agreed as long as the next kid looked like Leo. Jotaro is a bunny but he does has some yellow strips in his white fur. He had Leo’s grey eyes and his strength and speed as Draxum made the turtles extra strong and that gets pasted down to his grandchildren.
The next kids come almost two years later and they were not planned. There was an attack on a village in Usagi’s world. At the time the family was visiting and was asked to go help out. As they were heading there they came across a women, a bunny, who was injured and pregnant, she was from the village. Usagi and the other head for the village while Leo helped women back to the Tenshu. The village was destroyed. When they returned to Leo the women had also passed away after giving birth to twins. There was talk of sending them to an orphanage but they would probably be separated there. Leo had helped deliver the twins. He hadn’t left them since and there was no way he was letting anyone separate twins. Usagi took one look at his husband holding twin girls and knew that those where their daughters now. The girls are speckle brown and white. They named the older one Sakura after they cherry blossom tree they spent so much time under and the younger Ume (Japanese Apricot or Plum Blossom) as they look similar to cherry blossoms and also produce sweet fruit. (Also as baby’s they defiantly had cherry and apricot/plum themed outfits)
Two year later Usagi argued for one more. He wanted at least one of their kids to look like Leo. They talk to Draxum again and this time the kids come along. They were talking about gender and Jotaro said he wanted another little sister. He loved his two little sisters and why not have another one. Besides he already had the coolest older brother, Casey Jones. So a female red ear slider it was. They named her Kaida which mean little dragon. (Shout out to 2003 where they become dragons) Usagi was so excited until he saw just how tiny a turtle baby was, then he was terrified. “We could lose her down the sink drain! Why are you laughing at me Leonardo-chan?” She grows fast just like her father and uncles and by the time she a toddler she’s caught up to the size her siblings were at that age but Usagi was very stressed the first year.
I will be drawling them later but I just need to get them out of my head.

Ok i was thinking, we have seen how Gen Kitsune and Kat(cant remenber the full name) react and behave with the children
But what about Leo fam? How do they react to the fact that he has children? How do they behave?
(Hope ur having a good time an ;>- mine isnt the best since im starting classes again-)
I’m have a great time but I’m sorry your classes are starting again.
I have another ask about their reaction to the decision to have kids which I will answer over there. I’m also going to bullet point this as it has a lot of moving pieces
Raph
Worlds goofiest uncle. Does anything to make the kids smile.
He is Jotaro godfather as he balances out the other god parent best and is the biggest brother.
After the initial shock he is very excited to be an uncle. He’s Leo’s fist choice when they need a babysitter (don’t tell Splinter) as his big brother took care of him growing up there is no one he trust more. (Unfortunately most of the time they need a babysitter is when all the brothers are busy fighting crime)
He’s the second worst when it comes to spoiling the children. He has never and will never learn to say no to baby eyes.
The kids use him as a jungle gym and he let them as long as they don’t move around to much if he’s walking.
He is terrified of the twins. They are much smaller then Jotaro was. It doesn’t help that Leo and Usagi rushed back earlier with two deathly ill children. He’s very protective of all of Leo’s kids but the twins are different for him.
Kaida also freaks him out with her small size. Leo is exasperated by this as he was hoping his family would calm Usagi’s nerves but Raph makes them worst.
“Raph you were once the same size! We were all that small” Leo cried in exasperation. “No I’ve always been the biggest. You might have been that small but I always protected you.”
Splinter has picture to prove him wrong. He was also once that small.
He is closest to Jotaro. He loves them all equally but there is a special bond between the oldest. Leo was right to make him godfather as he helps Jotaro deal with the stress of being the oldest. Usagi and Leo don’t put nearly as much stress on him as Splinter put on Raph. But the kid still feels responsible for his sisters and he knows his parents will protect them but he wants to to.
Raph helps him process this. It’s very therapeutic for him as well as he gets to provide the support he didn’t have when he was young. He lets Leo know that the kid is stressed and they all work together to help him. Their all proud of him for loving and carrying for his sister but there are ways to do it without taking on the responsibility of an adult. He deserves his childhood to.
Donnie
Donnie loves being Uncle Donnie.
He was the last one to be comfortable holding Jotaro he was worried he’d drop the kid or do something wrong.
He’s a soft shell and he becomes very protective of anyone he sees as family. He is extra protective of his twin. These are his twin’s kids. If anyone hurt them they would survive long enough to tell.
He is the uncle that spoils the kids the most as he is always building them now stuff.
He is the closest to the twins. Specifically Sakura as he is her godfather and she is also the oldest twin like him.
After the girls close encounter with their illness Donnie builds them anything and everything he can think of to help. They are so small and they don’t have his brothers advanced strength. They are physically weaker then their brother (DNA wise) and he worries endlessly.
It gets to the point where Leo has to pull him a side for a talk. It’s about a year after the girls illness and they are healthy and thriving. He loves Donnie and he understand what Donnie’s doing. He’s trying to protect the family. He’s also telling them he loves them in the way Donnie does best, gifts. And Leo is thankful for his twin and his care. However. Constantly having things for the twins but not Jotaro is going to become a problem. Right now their young and not noticing and everything is helpful. But he knows his twin will continue with gifts for the twins as they get older. He doesn’t want Jotaro to feel less important then his sisters or have any resentment to them as they always get Uncle Donnie’s cool stuff.
Donnie hadn’t realized that he had been leaving Jotaro out. He was so focused on the twins. But he understand what Leo is saying and starts to feel really bad about it as he never meant for Jotaro to feel second best or worse hold resentment for his sisters. He could tell how much the boy loves his sister and he doesn’t want to damage that relationship. Leo reassures him that he knows this wasn’t Donnie’s intentions and he is so thankful for Donnie and all that he does for them. Right now it’s not a problem but he just want to address the habit before it becomes one.
After that if Donnie has a gift for one of the kids there are two rules he makes for himself. If it’s specialized and something they need or a birthday then the others can be left out. But if it’s just a random gift. He thought of them while shopping or built some new tech he’d think they like he waits till he has something for all of them. He never wants to show favoritism’s as he loves them all equally but he can see how the gifts can easily be misconstrued as favoritism by little minds.
Kaida size does not freak him out. But he does mess with Usagi. By this point the two are close and get along really well. Anytime Usagi starts stressing about her size Donnie will just make wild comments about how it’s impractical that they’d lose her in the sink drain. Now the kitchen sink is different. He’ll come up with ridicules ways the could lose her just so Usagi can see that he’s being paranoid. Sometimes it works and Usagi laughs by the end others he’s so stuck in his own head it gets worst. Yet whatever worry Usagi’s has if it’s legitimate Donnie will go fix it. Sink drains with non removable grates on them ext.
Mikey
Mikey loves the kids he’s great with them. He comes over and plays ridiculous games with them
He always makes favorite uncle a competition. Leo and Usagi tell them not to but Raph, Donnie, Gen, and Mikey are competitive. Knowing they can’t stop it the couple just tell them not to let the kids know and not to make their love conditional.
None of them ever would. They love this kids to death. It’s more just Mikey razzing everyone else. “Oh Jotaro gave you a wave good bye that sad I got a hug.” “Mikey he’s 7 months old. His waves aren’t intentional and he can’t hug anyone. You were holding him.” “But he leaned against me so he likes me more” (youngest sibling energy at its purest)
He’s the fun uncle who brings the kids toy swords and then does battle with them in the back yard. (All the family does this, Mikey just the one who will clobber them at any point and then let them tackle him to the floor)
He is the bad idea uncle. The one you go to when you need adult supervision but know he’s going to let you get away with things your parents wouldn’t. The kids are never unsafe when they’re with him but they might have a little more sugar.
He is Kaida godfather and absolutely loves how small she is. He will teach her how to use that size to get littlest sublime privileges.
He teaches the kids how to cook as they get older and has a really close relationship with Ume and Jotaro who both truly love to cook. He gets along with Sakura as she develops a passion for art. He is the one who teaches them all how to flip around while fighting. Sakura and Kaida are the ones who take after his razzmatazz.
April
Most responsible aunt. Teaches the kids not to take crap from people.
When Jotaro is born she adores him and loves playing with his ears. She will come over for dinner and make sure the house is clean before she leaves because the new parents have enough on their plate.
She is not allowed to take the kids out alone. She used to but every trip always had something crazy happen as she is a magnet for the weird and unusual. Now if it’s an Auntie April adventure there’s another member of the family as well. (Once the kids are older Leo let’s her take out on her own again. Those crazy adventures shaped him and his brothers and he’d rather his kids have them with Auntie April there to keep them safe then not at all.
She is Sakura’s godmother and is very protective of all of the kids. After the twins illness she is around as much as she can be helping the parents out. She doesn’t want the running themselves into the ground.
Kaida size is adorable to her. She also loves the unlimited access her birth has given her to Splinters baby books of the boys. There is so much blackmail material in those.
Cassie
As Leo’s co-parent with Casey she and Leo are used to working together with kids. When they first decided to have Jotaro she claimed godmother as Leo was responsible for her kids she would be responsible for his. Leo couldn’t argue her logic. (This is also why Raph is the godfather as he balances Cassie energy well.)
I’m not going to talk to much about her here as there is a separate ask just for her. I will also tackle Casey in his own at a later date.

My question is what is grandfathers reaction to their grand babies? Like Splinter, Draxum, and Katsuichi, I feel like they would spoil them rotten.
Splinter
The man is thrilled!!!
He had been hoping for grandchildren but he tried really hard not to pressure any of his kids.
When they first had Jotaro he would volunteer to watch him whenever they needed. Both parents were still active in keeping New York safe. There was going to be situations that would require both of them and Splinter is more then happy to dote on his grandson during those times.
He tries really hard to not be over barring as he knows the new parents need time alone with their kid but he is also the only grandparent with actual baby raising knowledge.
As the boy gets older Splinter and Leo, of course, show the kid Lou Jitsu movies and Jotaro loves them! But instead of Splinter watching them wishing to be back in the glory days, he instead see how the movies influenced his sons fighting abilities and how they could help Jotaro. The grandkids all know he’s Lou Jitsu, and when their older he will use the movies to teach them some of his signature moves.
When the twins came into the picture he was so excited. He had stayed at the Tenshu and was there with Leo when he was hearing all of the debate surrounding what to do with the babies. He knew he had new granddaughters when he first saw Leo holding them. He looked at them with such warmth on his face that Splinter knew they would be family.
He spoils the three bunnies rotten. Often telling them embarrassing stories from their dad’s childhood. This turns out to be a mistake when Kaida’s born. All of the stories of silly things that Leo did, like climbing up the fridge when no one was looking, have put one to many ideas in the kids heads. Between her size and knowing that their dad was an menace growing up all three bunnies are worried that their sister will get herself into trouble.
She does. She is her fathers daughter and she a baby. She does climb thing that no one would guess she could and stresses everyone out. The only people who can prevent these occurrences are Leo, he was the sneaky child he knows the look on her face when she’s got a bad idea, and Splinter, he’s lived through this before.
Over all he loves his grand babies so much.
Draxum
This is not a man that specializes in babies. He can make them but he’s never raised them.
Never the less he adores them.
After Jotaro was born he loved that kid to death. One he’s proud of his handy work and two the kid’s adorable.
He is learning how to take care of a baby. He doesn’t know what to do, or how to hold them, but he’s slowly learning. It took a long time before he could be handed Jotaro without the boy instantly crying. At first he thought he was doing something wrong and would hand the child back quickly but it was just the baby being fussy and wanting his parents.
He didn’t go with the family to visit the Tenshu when they adopted the twins. The adoption was a surprise to everyone. When the family returned with out Leo, Usagi and Jotaro he first thought that maybe they were spending more time with Katsuichi till he was told about the new babies. Then he was so excited to meet them. He knew it would be about three months before their return as both he and Leo had had many discussions of when it was safe for a baby to go through a portal. So imagine his surprise when they come back in two months.
It was not a good surprise. The girls were premature and had gotten very sick. A mixture of not being ready to leave the womb and also a lack of vaccination. Babies normally don’t get vaccinated until 6 months as they have mom’s antibodies running through them up until that time. But Usagi’s world doesn’t have vaccines or modern medicine. His world also has a high infant mortality rate. So when the girls started to get really sick they rushed back to Leo’s world.
Draxum, Leo and Casey were the ones carrying for the girls. Usagi helped as much as he could but the medical information would go over his head at times. After the two got better Draxum was still fiercely protective of them. This extended to Jotaro to. He was constantly worried about one of the kids getting sick. It starts to ease as the kids get older but any time one of them is sick. Draxum is there to dote on them.
When he creates Kaida he makes sure she has all of her vaccines and is fully developed before letting her out. He’s more anxious about it then either Leo or Usagi are.
Do not leave this man alone with these four children. They will gain up on him and get what ever they want, but in the most evil scientist way ever. You want ice cream from the human parlor but the lines long? Scopes all humans up with vines, look no line. You want a puppy, of course but let’s get one of those yokai puppies that looks adorable but can transform into a battle mount.
The man has no chill and will get his grandchildren the world
The children know this and abuse it.
Katsuichi
He sees the kids the least so he spoils them the most. He has money saved up from all his years of service so anything the kids want they get.
When it was determined that Jotaro wouldn’t be portal hopping until he was at least three months old, Gen and Kitsune went to their world to get Kashichi. The man wanted to meet his grandson and if the grandson couldn’t come to him he would go to them.
He adores Jotaro. He met Usagi when the boy was young but not this young. This is a baby. He’s so small and yet he can already see so much of Usagi and Leo in him.
When Jotaro can finally comes to visit Katsuichi is the proudest grandfather showing the boy off to anyone nearby. So proud.
When they adopt the girls he is excited for a lot of reasons. One, more grand babies!!! Two they are staying with him for three months!!!
Leo and Usagi try to visit regularly but it’s just not the same as having his family around him. But now with the girls they won’t be traveling for three months at least. He’s so excited to help them out and spoil his family. Even Leo and Usagi as he loves all of them so much.
But it becomes a nightmare when a disease sweeps through the Tenshu. The girls get sick. They were already under size and struggling with being premature. Things that worried both the parents and Katsuichi constantly, but now the girls were sick. He is terrified that he’s going to watch his granddaughters die. That he’s going to watch Leo and Usagi lose two of their kids. It’s common in their world but still so heart breaking. When Leo makes the call to go to his world Katsuichi goes with them. He doesn’t want them to be without support. He knows they have Leo’s family but he wants to be there no matter which way this goes.
Thankfully both girls make a full recovery. But just like the rest of the family he grows over protective of the two. He adores his all of his grandchildren but he worries more then he used to.
When he meets Kaida he worries for her instantly, her small size making him afraid. What if she grows ill? Is she strong enough to fight it? Yes, Draxum made double sure of that.
As she get older and starts causing chaos he worries less about her size and more about the chaos she is causing. Though it is entertaining for him to watch Leo and Usagi deal with their four chaotic kids.
He also cannot be left alone with the children. He is easily talked into going along with their bad plans.
He once saw the yokai dogs that look cute but transform into vicious protectors when he was visiting Leo’s world. The kids come to him one day to ask for a Tokage. (They think he’s the weak link that will buy them a pet, they are right) and he’s going to do it, but then he thinks and he looks at them and goes ‘you know who you should talk to?’ He makes and supports their plan to have Draxum by them a puppy.

Could you tell us what all the kids look like?
Jotaro
White bunny like his father
He has Leo’s yellow stripes on his arms
Leo’s grey eyes with hints of blue/gold
Wears blue
Sakura & Ume
White and amber speckled bunnies
Their patches are a redy/brown color
Sakura has a spot in her right ear and Ume on her left
They have green eyes
Sakura wears pastel pink and Ume wears pastel orange
Kaida
Red ear slider
She has the red strips around her eyes and yellow strips in her arms
When she’s a preteen she gets really self conscious about them and her and Leo have a lot of talks about it. Jotaro starts wearing sleeveless outfits so his sister can see that they match. All the siblings start wearing red eyeliner. It helps her feel more confident.
She had Usagi’s red eyes
The pattern on her shells a little different but I haven’t decided how yet
She wears yellow
I was tempted to pull and Encanto and theme them families is different shades of their parents main color. I think at big family events they all wear blue and accent it with their chosen colors

I want to talk about Cassandra and the influence she would have on Usagi and Leo’s kids. Would she eventually mature and become a responsible aunt figure or would she be a bad influence and get them into trouble. Would she try to recruit Sakura, Ume, and Kaida into her brownie clan once they’re old enough? I’d love to see their parents’ reaction to that.
Cassandra and Leo spend a lot of time together as co-parents. When Leo and Usagi announce they are having a kid Cassie instantly claims godmother as Leo raised her child when she died it is only fair that if something horrific happens to them that she raise their child.
It’s incredibly morbid but also very on brand for her.
She adores Jotaro as he is Casey’s little brother and Leo’s son. She is very protective of the children.
As Jotaro grows she tell his stories of battles they have won. Not always the best bedtime stories but they are always entertaining at least.
When the twins come along she adores them. After they are better from their illness she will whisper to the little babies that they will be okay. Their small size will not stop them from CONQUERING THEIR ENEMIES!
She defiantly teaches the kids hand to hand. There dads are wonderful swordsmen but no one throws hands like Cassandra. Has a big influence on Sakura’s and Kaida’s fighting styles.
She does try to recruits all four children into her brownie clan. She has already conquered New York now on to the hidden city. The nephew and nieces are just to cute and she knows they could sell rocks and people would buy them.
Leo and Usagi are opposed at first. Leo is almost won over at the idea of having sway over the powerful players in the hidden city. But ultimately they say no as the clan has enemies down there and they are not sending their kids out their alone.
Cassie agrees that they can’t go alone. That doesn’t mean that when the kids are older they don’t use Auntie Cassie brownies as an easy way to break into places in the hidden city.
Cassie is always so proud of them.
In the end she still chaotic but she does mellow out a little. She loves the kids and will burn the world to the ground for them. She isn’t a bad influence per say but there are times she’s a little intense to be around children.
She is closest to Jotaro as he is her godson and Kaida as she teaches the girl how to fight like a mad woman.

I miss the kiddos soo i decide to ask abt them >:)
(the onl info of who has kids is the Red family and the blue family soo)
Soo how does the cousins interact with eachother
like do they have favorite cousin?
how often do they see eachother?
I know I haven’t been talking about the kids recently but I do have a reason.
The collections not complete yet.
I have Leosagi kids and Raphmona kids but not the others. I have been crafting the kids as I go through the couples. Thinking what works for them and what I can see for their future.
It’s hard to talk about favorite cousins right now because we don’t have all of the cousins here.
I can talk about how Jotaro and Benigno are close to one another. Jotaro is the oldest of the next gen so he has unique relationships with his cousins especially Beni. Beni is Raph’s oldest and a year younger then Jotaro. Since their dads co-lead the two defiantly think they are going to take over their dads spots one day. They try really hard to work well together but they are kids and end up butting heads sometimes.
Yet I still don’t know the full dynamic. I haven’t thought of April and Sunita’s kids yet or how they will effect the dynamic of the group.
I haven’t thought of Mikey and his future. I have some ideas but I’m still playing with them.
Donnie though. Donnie I have some feelings about. I can’t reveal a lot right now (you will have to wait for his valentines chapter) but what I do know is his first (maybe only) kid.
@thewitchwannabe has a wonderful child oc for Donnie named Minerva. Please everyone go look at their art it’s beautiful. They have this wonderful little comic of how Donnie decided to be a dad.
But they really got me think of what Donnie’s future kid would be like. And I love the idea of fun uncle Donnie. Him being totally content with being the fun uncle to his siblings kids. (It’s great he gets to spoil the kids and then send them back to their parents perfect gig) but I think it changes when Leo and Usagi announce they are thinking about a fourth child.
A fourth kid who they are planning on being a red eared slider. And his brain starts running. Where there’s a red eared slider ninja turtle there must also be a spiny soft shell ninja turtle. That’s the rules. Things don’t go well when him and Leo are separated. Obviously Leo’s kids going to need a partner in crime and Lisa just had her last kid.
So it’s up to Donnie
(He’s secretly wanted to have a kid for a while this is straight up justification. It’s a sign!)
So he goes to Draxum and is like hypothetically how would I create a child. Leading to a weird conversation for both of them.
But in the end there is a spiny softshelled baby turtle hatched ten minutes before Kaida (did Donnie plan that? Yes. He is the older twin his daughter gets to be older)
Yet he wasn’t expecting Usagi to put his family on lock down once Kaida hatched and he saw just how SMALL his daughter was. Donnie’s miffed that he can’t introduce their daughters but it’s FINE. Bonding times important.
But here the thing. Durning all of this planning. All this preparation. I can see him straight up forgetting to tell the family. Draxum just assumes it’s a surprise or Donnie’s already told everyone. But no. The only ones who know about his daughter are Draxum, Donnie, and his possible future partner.
This leads to the hilarious moment when Usagi finally let people over to meet Kaida. It’s been a month, it’s time. And donnie walks in meets his niece and just pulls out his daughter from a pouch he’s wearing. (The girls are ridiculously small)
Cue everyone losing their minds.
Anyway her names Ada after Ada Lovelace the worlds first computer programmer.
