Hypnospace Outlaw Spinoffs

I've heard about Zane's Boomer Shooter spin-off Slayers X a while ago on Twitter and seeing as it is finally gonna get a spin-off makes me wonder what other type of games you could make with the rest of the cast. The Hypnospace Outlaw universe and characters are so good you could think up of just about a million game ideas with them. Heck, I can imagine a Squisherz monster raising sim with Rebekah where you have to care for the creatures while protecting them from Fundamentalist Christians that want to kill them all, or licesensed games of Gumshoe Gooper and The Chowder man.

Just finished Kid Eternity #11 and was amazed to find out Mr. Keeper has an evil twin brother who was sent to Stygia as punishment. Now I wish that there was an origin story for Mr. Keeper because I would really love to know how he became a ghostly gatekeeper guiding souls to eternity and what his life may have been like before it.

A Somewhat darker and edgier Fawcett Comics AU.

Skimmed through New Champion of Shazam #3 and they mentioned the missing people on the posters were homeless people who were trying to survive. Which made me think about a second Fawcett Comics AU where Billy stumbles upon a homeless camp where versions of the Fawcett heroes living there are trying to help everyone try to get a stable job and housing and they're nicknamed "The Squadron of Justice" for their street-level activism. (Not to mention Brian Butler did get fired from his job and had to literally travel across America searching for jobs alongside Pinky in Wow Comics.)

Pat: Diablo 3 is a weird game because it’s so good and one decision fucking ruined it (the auction house). [Sounds kind of like Diablo 4 tee-hee lol.]

Yatagarasu kickstarter talk. Bunch of small Japanese fite game devs came together for this kickstarter. Matt and Pat had issues with the characters, Matt for their designs and Pat for half the cast being palette swaps. [Max made a video about this too.]

Project Awakened mention. Matt is glad it’s kickstarter failed because it looked like shit. Looking at it, it’s hard to argue against him. [They confuse the name with “Project Awakening”, a much newer game that looks like a more generic FF16.]

Infamous and Prototype talk.

Woolie: Second Son is the first one that looks interesting.

Liam: I played Festival of Blood, that one was good.

Woolie and Pat both like Prototype more.

Pat: Infamous clearly had better production and gameplay, with more thought put into it— but you run faster in Prototype, so I’ll play that one.

Atlas sale. Index Corporation turned out to be fucky-wucky and stopped existing because of bankruptcy. The entire company is up for sale, Sega is offering 201 million dollars for the company.

Pat doesn’t like it because Sega’s output sucks, which even then wasn’t all that true. But he’s right about them axing Sega USA after bad business practices which lead to a lot of games not coming to America, except for European PC games? Idk sure I guess.

Woolie doesn’t like Sega because they ‘mistreated Platinum.’ Name a more overrated game developer (I still like their old games)

Liam accurately describes Sega’s plan for Atlus, “let them cook”, basically. He also argues there’s a huge market for Persona in the West.

Pat: Persona and SMT have a larger market out here than Yakuza ever had. [I feel Yakuza is a lot more popular than Persona nowadays, but idk]

There are many inspiring news reports in San Marcos, TX these days. In a recent news article, the topic was about the City of Kyle’s mayor. Reportedly, City of Kyle Mayor Travis Mitchell recently wanted everyone to go hug a firefighter after the forward progress of a wildfire that was halted shortly before 9:00 in the evening. It happened in Saturday in Hays County. As the Oak Grove Fire burned down a home and forced evacuations of approximately 30 others in an area near Kyle and San Marcos, Mitchell stated the teamwork of fire departments from all corners of the Austin area was exemplary and on-point to get the fire’s momentum stopped.

so ive built mic pre’s with just about every Nashville related sound that is near to me, and there’s one for every decade!

50’s/early 60’s: RCA style tube pre (I really got Daven pots/attenuators, and RCA/Western Electric/Audio Dev Corp transformers — a small fortune in vintage parts to cobble together this fall!)

late 60’s: Melcor AML-27’s (sometimes sold branded RCA; Ge DOAs and MEC iron transformers)

70’s: API 2098 console pre’s as line booster cage cards (this is what Sal modded that is in operation at RCA studio B since it became the museum; Si DOAs and Jensen Ni-Steel transformers)

80’s: Valley People MP-1000 mic pres (these were made in Nashville but no close connection to me or my Nashville recording roots, but they were designed by Paul C. Buff, they’re transformerless, IC-based ‘hybrid’ op amps called the TransAmp #LZ, short for transimpedance amplifier and also

🏳️‍⚧️)… ooh i also got the 1980’s TOA RX-216 console from The Bennet House Studio when it became a BnB, it wasnt their main console, it probably mixed cue sends or was just used for its analog effects section but it has Japanese made transformers an NE5332 ICs all over it and sounds so lo-fi! It’s a fixer upper ;) maybe with ICs swapped for faster ones it will sound like a cheeseburger in paradise

90’s: if there’s a Nashville sound of the 90’s then it is probably something i dont want like a soundcraft plugged to a Digi888 interface

00’s: kinda the same as the 90’s, but all the really good sounds were the 70’s stuff in studios here anyway if they were buying/keeping/trashing gear based on what it actually sounds like and not marketing hype so… idk it’s probably an OctoPre into a Digi IO102 interface? nothing i have

2010’s: Miktek MPA-201, another made in Nashville special to me that I use for everything, it’s really a revisitation of the Neve 1073 preamp section. more 70’s stuff! (Si single class A big footprint can transistor, and AMI transformers with some awesome Ni-Steel and secret sauce alloys)

LOL people say this?? yea i just checked and that happened in 4E 16... skyrim takes place in 4E 201. ulfric wasn't even a twinkle in his father's xenophobic eye. not to mention this is cited as kind of a political move to push dunmer refugees away from skyrim and onto solstheim instead and make skyrim look like a hero for it

My thoughts on Dr. Stone’s Chapter 201 (“Morse Talk”)

My thoughts after reading Chapter 201:

01. Senku and Suika in the colored chapter art; nice! :D (What is Senku holding?) Also, this gives us a good reference for how tall Suika is :)

02. Poor fishies! :( I guess a ship THAT fast WOULD be pretty disturbing to fish that size...

03. Kohaku was the first to speak in this chapter! :) I always really like seeing her! :D She and this ship are both super fast. And she and Gen and Suika even did the Titanic thing together! XD

04. Cola and sweet, cold treats! :)

05. Ukyo’s going to teach people Morse Code; hooray! Ukyo and Morse Code are both awesome! :D

06. So Kohaku still doesn’t know how to write... but Suika offered to teach her! :)

07. I wonder if the Morse Code borders mean something? :D

08. Ginro not wanting to ride the ship, Chrome declaring Suika his science-user rival... and Kasaki wanting to revive Joel and raise a toast to him! :’)

09. Kohaku caught some REALLY big fish! :O And I like the way she was reciting/singing those syllables :D

10. A message from the moon... and specifically, THAT message from the moon... “Do you wanna die?” Scary! :O

13. It looks like we’re going to Barcelona! They’re looking for flourite to make spaceships and spacesuits and rocket engines, and I’m guessing that flourite and oxygen make flouride, the thing that I think is in toothpaste?

14. I think there’s still a chance that Whyman could be a benevolent entity... although he did rain Medusas down on Matsukaze’s people, which doesn’t speak well for Whyman... hmm... And what’s making him “too numb to act?” Is he allowed to hinder humans, but not outright hurt them? Is Whyman subject to Isaac Asimov’s Three Rules of Robotics, perhaps...? But if Whyman is a robot or machine... then who created him? :O
