little things that happened at awesome con today:

• mandip was at jodie’s table during autographing and they were bantering!

• mandip was struggling to sign a funko pop box so jodie jokingly rolled her eyes and said “wow mandip”

• someone asked jodie how she felt to be working on her birthday and she said it was fine with her because she’s getting lots of attention!

• in the line while waiting for the thirteenth doctor team-up photo-op, the group of fans sang happy birthday to jodie

extras!

• when i gave mandip the gift i made for her (a crochet rose) she said that she loves flowers, and that she would be a florist if she wasn’t an actor!

• i gave jodie a little crochet cupcake as a birthday present and she called it a “little birthday bun”

all in all, it was an amazing time! i can’t wait to hear all about jodie and mandip’s panel tomorrow, i really wish i could be there for another day. happy birthday to jodie! it was so cool of her to be at the con on her birthday ♡

I met Andy Serkis for an autograph and a photo yesterday. When I tell y'all I was shaking. Like, look at him.

(My apologies to everyone around us in line that heard me say, "Oh my god, he's right there. He's so hot. Look at him." several times. And in my regular speaking voice. With no shame.)

He signed the cover of my copy of The Jolly Boys' Last Stand. He was tickled I'd even heard of it and was even more pleased when I told him I love that movie (he was not ready for the discord girlies to roll up with encyclopedic knowledge of his filmography). Getting him to smile and laugh made my day, though.

I got through this thanks to @tarrenterror25 and @csboz. Thank you for being my con buddies so I didn't have a cardiac episode in line or get lost (as often). 💖🙏

YEAR 3 BABYYYYYY!!!!!!

The Fic List is going back to Awesome Con DC!! We'll be hosting our second OTP or NOTP: A Tournament of Cosplay Pairings!

Cosplayers of all levels and fandoms are welcome and encouraged to drop in, show off, and square up in random pairings to determine the ultimate OTP. Participation in the tournament will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so come by early to ensure your spot! During the event, we will randomly pair cosplayers together, and the audience will vote for the pairings they ship (OTPs). Silliness may ensue. We're voting on the character pairing - not the quality of your cosplay - and the goal is to have fun and generally celebrate fandom and shipping culture.

Join us Friday, June 16 at 5:00 PM in Room 202! And don't forget to purchase your Awesome Con badges here!

Tomorrow is the first day of Incredible Con 2023 in North Charleston, South Carolina! I’m ecstatic to be vending there, both days of course. I don’t know my booth number yet, but I’ll be in the Artist Alley section. If you’re in the area, please feel free to stop by! I’ll be selling stickers and two sizes of my artwork.

Now that I have everything officially booked and ready:

In 20 days, I'm flying to a con in Washington DC to meet Andy Serkis! 😍

I'm so excited and nervous, I'm going to fucking scream!! I have to stand there and look this man in the eye after writing 100k+ words of smut about his characters and spending countless hours thirsting over him on here and on discord. 😳😂 Please pray for me.

Like, look at him. Look at this man and how hot he is. I am going to die 🫠🥵🥺💀

I'm also flying and traveling alone for the first time! Which is scary and exciting, but I'm looking forward to it now. And I'll be meeting a couple of my lovely Andy mutuals when I'm there 🥹 It's going to be so much fun 💖🤩

Im going to awesomecon next month and wearing a pride twi lek. I have an over abundance of these grogus that people have given me because "i like star wars" and of course i do but i have a LOT of this little guy🤣

So anyway i decided to customize one to have with me at the con. It was so much fun to paint and assemble and he has so many little details that i just love. I cant wait to get some pictures of me and him together. This is the most out of the closet I will ever be but awesomecon has been an amazing safe space for me the last few years helping with the pride squadron panel so this just felt right.

And Now, Certain People I Met At NYCC You May Have Heard of...

Slowly gonna start sharing some of the photos from this year's NYCC, so for today, here is a few pics I think you may like.

Sarah-Nicole Robles, I think you may have heard of her, starred in this show called The Owl House or something...

Seriously though it was nice to meet her (she showed up along with several other cast members on Thursday. I was lucky to find out about it when I did.)

Every year I seem to meet at least 1 wrestler. And this year, I met Matt Hardy!

I got a chance to talk with him a bit about the match I considered my favorite of the Bray Wyatt matches (The Ultimate Deletion) and he had some good things to share about it. (Shooting took 9 hours)

I waited a good 30 to 45 minutes to get an autograph and a selfie with Kevin Eastman. I say it was well worth it.

Also, he would also like to have the TMNT do a crossover with Marvel sooner or later.

Yes. I met two voices from my childhood and teenage years in person.

Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche, known to many as the voices behind Pinky and the Brain. They were there (along with Tress MacNeille and other voice actors) for Thursday and when I met with them, the following happened and for anyone who has ever known me, I did something that was quite unique.

Me: Before we take this picture, there is something I always wanted to do.

Maurice: Oh?

Me: Yes...(deep breath) Egon Spengler...(points to Rob) meet Jack Fenton. Jack Fenton, meet Egon Spengler!

(Both Laugh)

Maurice: (in Egon's voice) Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Fenton

Rob: (In Jack's voice) Likewise! Time to go ghost

The fact that I actually got to do this AND impress both of them with that is not lost on me.
