My parents have a lovely elderly, widowed lady as a neighbor, and she often asks me to get her stuff from Budapest--books, CDs, the like. About two weeks ago she asked me to get her two Avon parfumes she wanted as a Christmas gift for her granddaughter, I think (I used to do Avon years and years ago, when I lived in a dorm, but stopped since).

Anyway, I said sure--I knew they had a “store” in downtown which was easy to get to, so it wasn’t like a big deal to me. I went there the week before last, but it turned out it wasn’t an actual store, but more like a showroom with one of their people there. Who cares, I placed my order, the lady took my phone number and said she’d call when the parfumes arrived.

And she did call--I mean, I got a call from an unknown number on Friday afternoon, right in the middle of the online oral exams I was conducting. I declined the call--I suspected it was he tho--, but it was past 7 pm when I finished with the orals, so I didn’t call back then, not during the weekened, because... come on. It’s the weekend. So I called back today, and...

...And she basically cussed me off. Because she WANTED to hand over the parfumes on Friday (wtf, lady, did you expect me to jump up and run to you the middle of Friday afternoon?), and she is not in the showroom today or tomorrow or like, she kinda implied she won’t be there anymore before Christmas? And she otherwise lives on the fringes of the city I’m no way travelling to, because it’d take 2+ hours? But anyway, she talked to me like it was my fault that I was busy and did not jump when she whistled, when she didn’t even try to call me back or sent a text, and I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t have tried again either if I didn’t call.

In the end she said she’d try to talk to her boss and arrange it so that maybe I could pick the parfumes up tomorrow, and that she’d call me back in an hour.

That was over two hours ago.

The parfumes haven’t been paid for, so I’m heavily debating just blocking her number and forget the whole deal.

Manifested an Avon exclusive 2nd edition Mrs PFE Albee Barbie shoes and all at the junk store for $2 yesterday. The white dress version.

Yay for it being between bustles, the hair is not right, too plain, but it's about as half assed no one will ever take her out of the box you'd expect for a semi collector Barbie.

While the face mold is the one I'd like for my Barbie me and I could make the just slightly pinker skin tone work and there's new Barbies worth more than her it's a sort of she's pretty enough as is, and in fantastic shape, that when I get a Barbie display space again she can just stand there and look pretty. Looks like a strait arm TnT body, haven't checked yet.

I have my next projects in mind, the slight rearranging of the book shelves when I can do physical stuff, taking photos of my artwork with my fancy phone camera when I can do half physical stuff, more typing if I have to do non physical stuff, and podcasts and audio books to listen to if I can't do anything.

Also got myself a Haunted Mansion coloring book if I need mindless busy work after the adulting at the dentist next week.

Since I'm already going to Hell, show Satan how creative you can be by making your own hand basket, I'd gladly buy Harry Potter potion surprise balls to resell to any of y'all who have problems giving MGA your money. I wouldn't mind a set for myself any way.

And if cash its self is the problem I could be convinced to trade for items, I can always make a wish list, or gift cards.

I can insert reasons why I don't go to particular places, like the one location that always feels dirty or anywhere with touch screen menus that strange unwashed hands have touched because eeew, but I grew up deprived of so much because of not being able to afford it that if I want to reward myself with plastic crack for adulting I'm gonna.
