Redesigned some old characters from a project I had whilst I was in college. Edentide was a story following a little girl summoning a Demon Lord as her best friend - but due to her age, ends up summoning a demon that specifically looks after the souls of deceased children that don't feel themselves "good enough" for heaven or are convinced they are evil.

These guys come in to scoop up these lost souls and offer therapy until the child feels ready to move on.

Ira looks after kids that tended to have emotional regulation issues, mania, or anger management problems in a rough and tumble play area and rage rooms. Despite his dour expression and harsh affect, the guy is a massive softie - not just because he's a massive teddy bear.

Luxuria tends to children who are convinced that who they loved or how they loved made them "gross", "degenerate" or "unnatural"... as well as victims of CSA. She offers a social space for these children to bond with like-minded kids without the scrutiny or threat of elders with bad intentions for them. When not on the clock, she's glued to her tablet whilst watching doll restoration videos at 2x speed.

Gula works with children who had issues with food and body image - more often than not because of peers or guardians that instilled these problems. Gula tries to help children rebuild their relationships with food and help them not feel ashamed of eating via art therapy and cooking classes. He implements the art therapy mostly because he's itching to go to art college.

Avaritia looks after children who felt they wanted too much out of life. Be it material things or the love and respect of their families - all things a child can be called 'greedy' or 'needy' for having desired too greatly. Avaritia runs a mall where these kids can have all their wants and needs met with no payment required - other than 'Park Tokens' to buy things with... which are very easy to get. Ava mingles with the kids to help reassure them that there is no shame in asking for the things you want.

Invidia works with children who have been compared to others all their short lives, always told they needed to be like a sibling or a peer, that they were a disappointment compared to their 'betters'. Whilst Viddy helps children enforce their self-worth through therapy and positive reinforcement.. she also allows the children to put the damned souls of adults who have knowingly battered egos of kids like them into what she likes to call 'Viddy's Kid-Controlled House of Mirrors'.

Superbia's speciality is children who struggled with the pressures of being the 'gifted' kid, suffered with imposter syndrome, or shamed for the things they took pride in enjoying before death. He manages the housing district for Kingdom Come and gives the kids full reign on how they want their spaces to look without fear of judgement. Steadily, Superbia aims to chip away at the child's fear of disappointing others or issues with self-image with classes or workshops outside their living quarters.

Acedia works with disabled children. Children who couldn't 'overcome' their conditions and died early or were subject to crippling ableism in life. Acedia, more often than not, tends to work with kids with severe depression, executive dysfunction, or the physically disabled. Acedia overlooks accessibility arrangements in Kingdom Come and provides a low-sensory input space to unwind in. Acedia himself is physically disabled, having no feeling in his legs and dealing with narcolepsy. Thankfully, his psychically linked mobility aid can still help him function even in states of rest.

hi guys due to popular demon (like 5 people) I'll be sharing my headcanons of some my inner demons characters :3

Noi is actually the second oldest. Rhys being first, Noi, Pierce, Asch and then Leif. However he often just says he's the youngest because he feels it's too much work to talk about it all.

Leif would likely be into sour snacks/candies, Asch into spicy food, Noi & Rhys being into sweet and Pierce couldn't give much of a god damn.

Noi & Pierce would likely be theatre kids, commonly seen watching musicals after they see Ava play one and they both become obsessed. Asch tries to ignore it but he sometimes whispers lyrics to songs.

Once there was a butterfly in the apartment, and whilst everyone was freaking out over it Rhys was freaking out over how he couldn't see it without his glasses. "WHERE I DONT HAVE MY GLASSES!!" Was very loudly yelled until Ava woke up lol

Coffee is very popular among the group, disliked by Leif and Noi because Noi doesn't like the taste and Leif thinks it's stupid as hell. But everyone else is heard arguing over who used the last of the coffee beans.

Through the portal, the crew has their own designated bedrooms obviously. Rhys has an extra study room that has books, a cauldron for spells and then a mirror to discuss with Lady Grandma.

Rhys once saw Ava doing her eyeliner and was very intrigued, she managed to get him still for a bit to put it on him and it gives him just a bit more euphoria about himself. Enough for Ava to buy him his own lil eyeliner pencil.

We know Asch has fire powers obviously, but honestly I think sometimes he quite literally lets off steam from his hands before he actually produces the fire

Leif once bit a piece of paper because Ava told him she wasn't sure if the flavor of paper, it's now a running joke whenever someone has paper they offer it to Leif to try. He hates it.

Board games were tried once and now never again because 3 windows were broken and Noi was thrown out of two. The other someone (Likely Asch or Leif) threw a mug out that was full of Rhys' drink.

Ava at some point spent WAY to much money on buying the boys cologne because strangling them to shower was enough of her sanity. She does still make them bathe but whenever they smell she just points at them and says "Cologne."

Asch produces a lot of body heat, hes a walking furnace. So whenever it's cold everybody tries to stay close to him, and he never understands why.

“You’ve been acting weird all morning, what is with you?”

Talia glanced over at Ava as she pulled her car into the driveway, as she pulled the brake and stopped the car. Ava had, she’d been weird all morning, right down to the fact she’d insisted that she not drop her back home with Vinny but to come over to hers for more girl time. She wanted to spend the rest of the afternoon together. While that wasn’t unusual on its own, it was the fact that she was just so insistent without any reason, especially after spending the entire morning together. Usually there was a reason, sure there was just hanging out, but they still both had so much to do, Ava had even received a shipping alert while they were out. She would no doubt have more to unpack when she got home, something that would any other day have her in a tizzy, still, she insisted on coming home with Talia, it was so strange.

“Really, is it so wrong that I want to spend the afternoon with you?”

Looking at her, her eyes narrowing for a second,

“It wouldn’t be, if you hadn’t been so strange already all day, I know you, I know when you are being weird, and you are being weird.”

Climbing out of the car, it was still Ricky’s but considering they were all moving in together, he was insisting it was pretty much Talia’s now. Told her that considering how often they were on tour, her getting another car, and this one sitting here unused, it would go to waste, so this way, it would be better for everyone. They could both use it while he was home, and they also had Chris’ car as well. A two car household was perfect overall, and that was just fine by her. 

Talia shook her head before walking up towards the house with Ava following along beside her. At least they were both nice, and refreshed now, after their time at the spa. Just as they were approaching the front door, Vinny’s car was pulling up in the drive next to Rick’s, and they turned to see Vinny and Ricky both climb out of the machine. Talia smiled, watching them as she leaned her shoulder against the front stoop while they waited for them for a moment, both of them laughing about something. 

“What have you two been up to this morning?”

How could she resist asking as Ricky made his way up the path, as he made his way to her though, she didn’t resist to reach for him arms wrapped around his waist and pulling him closer to her. There was no hesitation as she pressed a quick kiss to his lips, lightly with a smile.

“Just some gaming, happily kicking Vin’s ass.”

“Oh bull, there was no way you did any ass kicking. You suck, stick to writing and videos.”

Talia glanced over to see Ava’s arms draped over Vinny’s shoulders and grinned, it was good to see them happy. Not to mention being at here the last couple of weeks had certainly taken the pressure off her mind that she might be getting in the way. No matter how much she told herself she wasn’t, that they told her she wasn’t, it always niggled at her. Had helped when she started dating herself if she was honest.

Laughing, 

“Well, since Ava is insisting on hanging out for the afternoon, if you two don’t have anything planned, you could join us?”

Smiling as Ricky’s arm squeezed around her waist a little, feeling him tug her closer.

“We’d love too.”

Heading inside, both Ricky and Talia, however, completely missed the glance between Vinny and Ava behind them as they let themselves into the house.

Ricky unlocked the front door, the first day that Talia had moved into the house, Chris had immediately gone out to get a set of keys cut for her so she wouldn’t feel like she didn’t belong there. He knew how she was, they both knew it, so it made sense that she should have a set first thing, it was her home now after all. Ricky technically still had his from when he had been living with him temporarily, Chris had never asked for them back. When he had moved back to his place, Rick had asked if he wanted them back, and Chris had just given him this look as if he was stupid. Then, Chris leaned into him, and brought his lips to his for a long, drawn out kiss.

“Don’t be an idiot, come over any time. My place is always yours.”

So, he had. He got it now. Now it was their place, for all three of them.

Leading them inside towards the living area, figuring they could probably just watch a movie, probably get something delivered for lunch while they hung out. As they made it into the house, however, it was when they made to the lounge that Ricky was surprised by multiple people.

Happy ‘BELATED’ Birthday

A few of his family, the band, the crew, a few people he didn’t know who they were until Talia let out a surprised gasp. “Jordan, Kyle!”

And then they made sense, too! Next thing he knew, Chris was wrapped around Ricky in a tight hug, and Rick sighed as Chris laughed after a moment as he pulled back, grinning.

“I couldn’t just forget it, even with everything that's happened, plus all the more reason to meet Talia’s friends, ya know?”

Shaking his head, and have another party. Chris had been wanting a reason to celebrate everything that had been happening for weeks, yet with the fact that they couldn’t really tell everyone the complete truth about their soulmate marks. It made a lot of things around their bond difficult. Here they were, Chris had found a way to celebrate just the same, even getting both their families involved, of a fashion. 

“You better have said no gifts.”

Hearing Chris laugh, he knew him.

“Don’t worry, I said no gifts, so if anyone got anything, it’s not because of me, I absolutely swear.”

With that, he gave him a simple quick kiss, and Ricky smiled against his lips. He knew Chris meant it, but it wasn’t like he could have stopped people from bringing presents, knowing half of their friends, they’d bring something. He could only hope it was something like food, rather than presents, or, well, something for the house. Most of them knew they were all moving in together after all, though, this was at minimum two houses into one, so, they didn’t need anything, at all, so anything they brought they likely had two of already. 

Still, as Ricky ended up with Chris’ arms wrapped around his shoulders from behind, he smiled, watching Talia talking excitedly with her friends that she’d missed. Rick only knew which was Kyle and Jordan from the Skype calls to ‘meet’ them with her over the past weeks. Jordan had insisted that he vet them to make sure that they were suitable, and Ricky couldn’t blame him after how shitty everything had started, he was protective. He would have been protective of Chris, too, finally meeting someone after everything that happened with his soulmate problems, if he hadn’t known exactly what was happening here.

Seeing her so happy to see them, that, was the perfect gift, if no other. 

Chris was so happy that the party was going well, everyone was mingling and having a grand time, talking, laughing together. Excusing himself for a second from a chat for a moment, he slipped over to the tables to go grab another soda when he found Talia by the desserts and smirking at one of the ones she was picking up. Moving over to her, he nudged her gently before nodding towards Ricky with a tip of his head at the dessert, only to get a giggle from her… they had been talking about it, and it was perfect. When she nodded in agreement, he winked, now was just the time.

Walking over towards him, the small cake in Talia’s hand on one side of the guitarist, Chris swung his arm around Ricky’s shoulder on the other.

“Ricky, oh, Ricky… You know, JellyBean and I have noticed something, we both have nicknames, but you don’t. We just don’t think that’s fair of us, and don’t want you to feel left out, so-”

“Babe, I don’t feel-”

“Hold on, hold on, hear me out, we have just the one, Cupcake!”

Chris grinned as Talia shoved the little buttercream frosted cupcake into Ricky’s mouth, smearing the little icing across his lips a little bit as she shoved it in with a giggle before she kissed him with his muffled protest. He really didn’t get to say much at all, chewing quickly trying to get the small cake down to get his argument out as Chris leaned in next and planted a peck on his cheek at least.

“Come on Cupcake, you know you love it, so sweet.”

Squeezing Ricky around his shoulders, before the smaller man was trying to smack them both as they both laughed wildly as he finished choking down the cake.

“That’s it, you two are asking for it!”

By the time the party had wound down, Ricky wasn’t disappointed in any of the party at all, he’d had a fantastic time, even when the two had gotten their joke in with the cupcake. Honestly, he was curious how long that nickname would hold on for, knowing those two, knowing Chris, maybe awhile. If it ended up on the message boards though, he was going to kill him, mark his words. Maybe he should warn Talia a little about JellyBean, and Spookie, but so far, it had only been personal names, so they were probably okay when it came to their fans. 

While most of their friends had left, and they were starting to clean up, Talia came over,

“Rick, I’m about to drive Jordan and Kyle back to their hotel, I’ll see you when I get back, Chris said there is some leftover pizza for dinner, don’t eat it all on me okay?”

Chuckling as he leaned to kiss her, assuring her with the gesture that he wouldn’t ever dare, he felt stuffed enough from what he’d eaten at the party anyway. If he ate any more he’d probably explode… then again, it was pizza. No, no, they could at least wait until she got home. 

“Wouldn’t dream of it, Sweetheart, I’m just going to be cleaning. Drive safe. Can’t wait to see them for brunch tomorrow.”

It had been good to find out that while Chris had used the party to get them out here, they were going to be staying for a bit of a vacation, a week. So, the five of them were going out for brunch tomorrow, to take some time to enjoy a bit quieter than today had been. Ricky was really looked forward to it. 

Tonight, though, as Talia left, Ricky kept cleaning, and awhile later Chris found him in the living room,

“Did you have fun today, Cupcake?”

Smirking as he looked over at Chris, Ricky couldn’t help but roll his eyes, just a little,

“Yea, Spookie, I did.”

Chris laughed and walked his way over to him reaching for the plates and cups he was picking up in his hands and setting them down on the coffee table before reaching for his waist and pulling him close.

“You promise.. It wasn’t too much?”

Leaning up he pulled Chris down into a kiss humming against his lips happily, his lips curving into a smile at how wonderful it felt in his arms. He couldn’t think of a better way to en-

FUCK-

A fiery, searing white-hot pain ran through his entire body staring directly at his neck. His whole body jolted like he’d been taken over as a marionette, holy shit. His eyes flew open as he pulled back from Chris, looking up at his equally completely horrified face, and he knew instantly he had felt it too.

“Call 9-1-1.”

Something had happened to Talia.

I'm only ever one kind of trash so here's my trollstuck ava's demon thoughts

Odin's theme may be purple but Aedinfell's vibes are more indigo imo. Like yeah, sure, he's the monarchy, but the servants and outfits and shit give more noblesse oblige than anything violet, and the snottiness of pride matches indigo for sure. Now the TRIPLETS could be purple, the little brats <3 Classpecting is something I have to put a lot of thought into, and I'm not really feeling like it now, but my first thoughts put him as a Hope player- he's got Jake and Eridan's stubbornness, and the fact he's consistently willing to pursue what seems impossible even as he's discouraged by his siblings and the other hosts shows he's got plenty of belief to work off of. He also fits a lot of description of Doom, though, being a gentle soul willing to commiserate, permanently haunted and hailing from his doomed planet.

Ava could fit just fine as a rustblood, I think. It's red to red, and Ava is akin to lowerclass as she's orphaned/abandoned at the Titan schools, and even there she's seen as a delinquent and failing to fit in to society, going on to fall out of it altogether as a criminal. Wrathia's horns even mirror Aradia's! Now, the strength of her personality makes me think Rage player, which would be a fun foil to Odin as Hope, but you could also argue a different aspect in one of the more active classes (Witch suits her well, I think). Honestly, with her shape being circle (loops) and Aradia facing the same outbursts of anger, you could go all the way and place Ava as a Witch of Time.

Maggie, Maggie, Maggie. There's obvious parallels to Nepeta/Heart - Maggie holds true to all three heart players' thing with romance/shipping, she's got all this green, plant imagery (I always associate olives with being feral, outdoors, etc). I'd place her as Jade, though. I can just see Maggie making friends with Kanaya in her sunlit garden; Maggie has the grace and schoolgirl vibes of the rest. Still a Heart player at my best guess, but I have no clue what class.

Gil is the hardest, honestly. I had to go back and read sections of his story to get to know him outside of being cult-brainwashed and then devastated and angry in the later story. What stands out is that he's kind; he's kind to Nevy the first time he sees her, takes care of the hosts when they crash land despite them all being freaks, and wants to be a doctor just to help people. Life suits him, being a caretaker and a stubborn, later bitter one at that. You could argue violet for his fishy, little mermaid vibes, but he's FAR from royalty. Maybe he could've been a limeblood. I think I'd put him at bronze; duty-bound and unable to rise past his place in life despite all his efforts.

something i haven’t fully talked about is how The Under mirrors The Upper.

like The Sun, The Waning Moon is “guarded” from those who would sneak to snuff out its power. however, the waning moon doesn’t have as much power as the sun, so not many go after it; leaving the “guardians” of the moon more freedom to do as they please.

the guardians of the waning moon are the 6 SINS; some of the first demons to defect from the upper after lucifer. the most powerful of the sins is avarice or “ava” (greed) and i’ve talked about him a bit before (and i love him) but i don’t give the other sins as much attention so let’s talk about them!!

also as a side note the sin gluttony doesn’t exist. why? cuz ava killed him :))))))

anyway tho:

(1) IRE (the SIN of wrath) -> she/her

ire is the resident hot head of the sins and the second shortest, taller than ava by a mere inch. she wears her hair in spiky ponytails, half red, half purple, and while she has a bad attitude she actually avoids cursing and tends to insert nonsense words into her speech when she gets really upset. she loves sweets and cute things but hates when people call her cute. very much a “that’s cute i want to break it” energy. she’s the third strongest of the sins but the most likely to whoop some ass bc of aforementioned anger issues LMAO.

(2) HUBRIS (the SIN of pride) -> he/him

literally the most flamboyant fag on planet earth i’m not even joking. he’s a diva and a model; tall and pretty with long hair and thick lashes. he’s overconfident but also loves to hype other people up, and can be extremely dramatic, his emotions a constant whirlwind. he cares about people very very deeply and always wants to lend a helping hand or ear to those in need. he’s actually the second strongest of the sins but is perhaps the least likely to use his powers. he hates blood and gore but if you really manage to push his buttons (he keeps them secret so it’s less likely) then he’ll tear you (the bitch) apart :3c

(3) PASSION “SION” (the SIN of lust) -> they/them

sion is team parent, the second eldest of the sins (younger than ava by a tad) and always looking after the rest of them as though they were their children. they’re very patient and mature and seem almost conservative in their appearance… though what they get up to in their own time is between themself and their partners lmao. despite being lust, like ava is greed, lust extends to a variety of different things and their thirst for companionship, care or affection runs deeper than only surface level sex. if they want something they want it in every way they can attain it. ava considers the two of them the most alike; very unassuming but carnal in every sense of the word :)

(4) APATHY (the SIN of sloth) -> he/they

the most similar to his calling card of the entire bunch, apa tends to be the most lowkey of the sins. he’s the most likely to stay behind and watch over the waning moon, and while he isn’t always a napper he does prefer a sedentary life. he does hibernate tho i need to figure out when and how, and to compensate stays awake 24/7 without needing sleep when he’s not in hibernation mode. low fi beats, music, and pillows are his jam.

(5): COVET “COVE” (the SIN of envy) -> they/them

cove is the youngest of the sins and has a big inferiority complex in being so young. they don’t have as much power as the other sins, and their childish ways do get the others to look after them quite often and they just want to be wise and powerful already. secretly they do enjoy the attention and enjoy being babied which is something ava and hubris tease them about a lot much to their chagrin, and they usually have a monopoly on sion’s time; the two of them go everywhere together. as they continue to gain exposure to the waning moon’s light hopefully they too will become just as powerful a sin as the rest of them :3

Eridanus: The First Awoken 💚

A somewhat well-known bard in Eihlune, appreciated for the melodious tone of his songs and his voice. That carries wherever he goes stories of all kinds that one might want to hear. Educated, serene, mature... Many trust and approach him by instinct or nature towards his presence. Whether it's because of his music, because of his charisma or because of the sense of security that he sometimes provides indirectly. But whatever that closeness is, little by little it is erased. Whether by the action of destiny or by the action of himself.

Eridanus prefers to keep a safe distance from everyone and everything. Calculating when he should speak, laugh or be silent. He plans what the results of a conversation could be and what each of his actions could be. The possible endings. The good and the bad ones.

That's why many say they know him, but no one really does. And no one knows what could be behind the mask that he has worn for so long that it seems to be his legitimate face. His past, his thoughts, opinions... Everything is well hidden.

With his songs he not only carries stories, but also strength. Advantages for his allies and the most unique reactions to his audience that have ever been seen. If a simple music fan appears, grace will be able to hear. But if they're an undesirable, they will hear what a bard's true ability is on the battlefield.

And among all that slowly advancing tornado that is his life, there is a center from which he wants to escape. And that always seems to chase him. Ava, everyone's mother knows about it. But she prefers that he himself be the one to fight his own battle without her intervention.

Old demons dressed in crowns and gold. Almost pure blood of royalty that runs through his veins. Lies, conspiracies, hatred... A broken family like a broken mirror. A dark and violent past that he does not want to remember, long for. And yet he can't help but do it.

With this I begin a new series of illustrations that will tell information about my ocs. Kind of like an in-depth introduction. After seeing images of bases that were circulating on social networks, I decided to use them, but giving them a little twist.

Grew up in Webster Village as the second youngest of four. Her dad was a member of the Hellraisers so she grew up in the club.

Ava grew up in a busy, loving family environment, excelling in school with her family's support and aiming for pre-law.

Ava moved to New York for college, securing an internship where she met Richard Mitchell, a partner who became her mentor and boyfriend.

Their relationship started blissfully but eventually became controlling and isolating, with Richard influencing all aspects of Ava's life.

Trips home became few and far between, initially because of the schedule that Richard kept so busy but also due to an increasing reluctance to let the people she'd grown up with see just what kind of relationship she'd gotten herself into.

But despite her increasing unhappiness leading her towards depression, she didn't know how to leave when it seemed her now successful career could all be attributed to her partner.

Returned to Tonopah two and a half years ago after finding out that her mother was ill, taking a sabbatical and staying for six months until her mother's death. The time spent during her mother's illness brought her back to reality, renewing her confidence and leading to her decision to leave Richard.

The breakup was messy despite the presence of her cousin. Richard's parting gift to her a barrage of words that stoked Ava's self doubt to an all time high. Unwilling to move home before she felt like she had her life together again, she instead found a firm in San Francisco for a fresh start.

After two years there and working through some of her demons, Ava decided to return home, taking a job at Decker & Co. and planning to do more pro bono work for women in need.

Not long after returning home her father told her about his true motivation for wanting her to move back - an illness that would slowly claim his life. Now she's determined to not only make up for lost time but make the most of whatever time they have left.

CONNECTIONS:-

Best friends: there's very few people Ava kept in proper contact with during her time in New York but these people are some of the exceptions. Even then she would have tried to keep the truth from them as much as possible, though it's likely since leaving Richard she's started to open up again. She values them highly and will be fiercely loyal.

Close friend: someone who didn't see her absence and pulling away as an issue, instead just a fact of growing up and moving on. The friendship is maybe more casual, without many facts exchanged but Ava's grateful for there being no hard feelings over her failures as a friend over the years.

Close once upon a time: maybe they grew up next to each other or were close in high school or they also had ties to the Sons, either way very much in each other's social circle but their friendship drifted after Ava moved away. Whether it was just down to her or on both sides can be plotted as well as how they feel about each other now.

Ex-friend: whether they saw Ava pulling away as some sort of personal betrayal or made too pointed a remark about Ava's relationship or another reason entirely, an argument between them left a rift that was uncrossable. Once inseparable they're now almost strangers - could go a variety of ways now she's back in town!

Puppy love: whether it was requited crushes or each other's first kiss they had a sweet little dynamic before they were old enough for it to mean anything serious.

Neighbours: either people she might have grown up around in Webster Village or people she lives near now she's in Glenn Estates.

High school sweetheart: head over heels for each other but it likely ended with them both of just Ava going off to college but no matter the ending she'll probably refer to them as her favourite ex (not that there's much competition there rip)

Friends with benefits: since she's convinced herself she's not looking for anything serious at the moment just something loose and chill with someone she's got a decent friendship with and feels comfortable around.

Bad timing: there's an undeniable connection between them and maybe always had been but things never seemed to quite align for them and there's a lingering sense of 'what if' between them.
