The A-29B Super Tucano Aircraft of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) seems to be operating on a Buddy System, sharing one Electro-Optical/Forward Looking Infra-Red (EO/FLIR) “Ball” for every two Aircraft while the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) used their newest Assets like the Super Tucanos, Autonomous Truck Mounted-howitzer System (ATMOS) and Hermes Drones to make a devastating strike against the New People's Army (NPA) even under the cover of Darkness

Japan donating Coastal Radar Systems to the AFP
Tumblr media
Japan is donating Coastal Radar Systems to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) worth Php 235.5 million, or around Usd 4.2 million assuming an Exchange Rate of Php 56.09 per Dollar. The donation will go thru a Grant from their Official Security Assistance (OSA) Program, and the Philippines will be the first Country to receive such Grant from the Program.
No other Details have been revealed so far though, like how many will be provided, to which Branch of the AFP it will be given to, Details of the Radars itself, etc. That is one Problem I see with Japan, they tend to be scarce in Terms of the Details of the Defense Equipment they are providing to us.
The Israelis tend to be the same with most of the Items they supply to us, but every now and then they do reveal a lot also, like with the Autonomous Truck MOunted-howitzer Systems (ATMOS) they provided us, so in that regard they are better than Japan

Several Months ago I posted Video with Pictures of the Women Attack Helicopter Pilots of the Philippine Air Force (PAF), and now the Philippine Army (PA) also have posted Pictures of their lovely Women that are Part of the Crew of their Autonomous Truck MOunted-howitzer System (ATMOS).
Notice also though how a Militarized or Ruggedized Tablet Computer is being used as Part of the ATMOS System, which controls the Vehicle’s Systems including that of the Fire Control System (FCS).

Just a look at the only other 155 mm caliber Howitzer that the Philippine Army (PA) is using right now, the M-71. These are made by the same Israeli Manufacturer of the Autonomous Truck Mounted-howitzer System (ATMOS), “Elbit Systems Limited”.
These have been largely overshadowed by the ATMOS in recent Years, for obvious Reasons. The PA should find a Way to upgrade these somehow, like add in an Electronic Fire Control System or something.
The Units in the Pictures belong to the Alpha “Puncher” Battery of 7th Field Artillery (Steel Rain) Battalion of the Army Artillery Regiment of the PA during their Unit and Individual Certification for the Year 2024 recently.
