If you don’t want a cure for your autism great, but stop making other people feel like their ableists for wantin a cure because autism isn’t all sunshine and roses sweetheart. There are people who have to be taken away from their homes because of how stressful is for the families of that person and that shit is traumatizing. I have issues with my autism but it’s not on the same level as someone who can’t talk, who can’t feed themselves, who can’t cloth themselves etc. But I have issues with myself I would like to cure too. I’ve have people, mostly neurotypicals, tell me why can’t I be proud of my autism. I don’t have to be proud of having autism, what is there to be proud of? I don’t have savant powers where’s the positives? I admit I’m a smart person but it’s not because of the autism. I don’t feel proud or even “accept” my autism I tolerate it because I know I can’t do shit about it. I don’t whine all day about it because that’s not healthy but I’m not going to act like it can’t cause me issues because it has. I at least wish they would come up with a way to get rid of sensory issues so I don’t have to wear headphones or try to seek therapy for it. I need both NTs and NDs to stop telling people with disabilities how to feel how they should manage or feel about their disability. If you want a cure, good for you. If don’t want one, good but please don’t use your beliefs to prevent a cure from happening. Just don’t take the cure and move on with life. If you feel offended by this like I said before I’m not making you take a cure I just wish there other autistic people who could respect other autistic people who feel this way.

Had the front door open, screen door shut, because it’s almost summer, and I was waiting on a delivery.

Someone knocked on the door, and it wasn’t Amazon. She was a friend of my roommate, and that roommate was sleeping. She had been in a mood all day. And I let sleeping beasts sleep.

She woke up and I told her that a friend had left a treat for her. She got very upset that I hadn’t woken her; apparently she hadn’tseen this friend in a while because COVID.

Here’s the thing, I’m autistic! And honestly I do not do well in spontaneous situations. If the main door had been closed, I would not have even answered. Talking with random people in masks on my doorstep is not exactly a good time. So sorry I didn’t wake you up, next time leave a list of appropriate waking up reasons.

(ok the reason I say that is because I 8/10 times identity the poster by their pfp, and earlier I was thrown because I didn't recognize the picture so I had to look at the name of your blog to see who was on my dash with this unrecognized pfp. Then I get on just now and I see another pfp I didn't recognize so I had to repeat what I did earlier. ESSENTIALLY what I'm saying is I noticed your new profile pic bc I'm actually like wired very oddly mentally and it threw my undiagnosed autism, a loop)

P.S I don't care if you change your picture, I'm just stupid and I look at the picture of each post just so know who's posting what.

P.S#2 I don't mean to offend by saying undiagnosed autism, I'm not trying to make a joke of autism, but my mom and I have believed for years that I am autistic (like actually and not just "I have 3 symptoms uwu #autismrealness :3 like it's a quirk or sumn.) I've been officially diagnosed with a few things over the last two years getting mental health help and if it wasn't so darn expensive and a long process I would be tested for autism. I PROMISE THIS WASN'T A WAY FOR ME TO MENTION ALL THAT AND MAKE IT ABOUT MYSELF, LIKE IT JUST HAPPENED, ITS--

It is a handmade #Autism ring made by Karl @rooksandroses especially for me as a complete one off. The ring is made of three separate pieces of silver, the shiny pieces either side represent Elke and Martha, and I am the jigsaw puzzle piece (which not coincidentally is the international symbol for #autism) in the middle holding it all together. I mean, how perfect is that??? And how talented is my lovely, thoughtful boyfriend? I may have actually shed a little tear when they presented me with this. On a side note, please try not to judge something you don’t understand.
