Can you rec your top five luztoye fics to get us in the vibe?
Beloved, can I! With this, I went with fics that I don't see recced a lot for Luztoye, so if there's anything anyone wants added on to the list, feel free to do so!
Since this gave me a bit of freedom, I went with non-canon era fics, mainly to shake it up a bit. If someone would like a canon list, feel free to let me know, and I'd be delighted to :). With that, let's get into it below the cut. (Fics in no particular order).
- each and every day (of the year) by bruce_the_shark
Joe grins, lifts his hand from George’s hip to grip him by the chin, twists his face around to catch his lips in a bruising kiss. George relishes in it, likes how the taste of Joe’s preferred brand of liquor mixes with the taste of his own on his tongue. He grins against Joe’s lips, knows it’s going to be a good year.
rated m | 21.6k | modern au | granted, i haven't read this one in a while, but it's very sweet and has a very nice montage-esq vibe to it. very lovely read, especially if you're not in the mood for heavy angst :).
- the road is long, we carry on by rebelsquad (wolveheart)
“There is no good ending for people like us, George.” George says what he always says and what always feels like a half-truth, like there could be more to it but it won’t come out of his mouth. “If the ending sucks, we should make the story before as good as we can.”
unrated | 4k | mob au | this fic changed something in my mind, i'm not even kidding. very well done luz pov, very sweet, with an open ending and that good ol' yearning. not very big on mob aus, but this one was so well done that i enjoyed it very much <3.
- You Got The Best of Me by roaroftheninth/@almost-a-class-act
People assume that when Joe thinks about his life, it’s in terms of before the accident and after. Instead, he thinks about it in terms of before and after meeting George.
rated m | 61.3k | modern au | it wouldn't be a luztoye rec list without something by sam, but this fic is also just genuinely so wonderfully done and thought out. you can tell how i feel about it by seeing the completely normal and hinged comments i left on it, if you need more persuasion.
- Punch-Up by Disastrous_Canasta/@disastrouscanasta
It was in no way picture-perfect, or even anything like what George had imagined he’d love doing, but it was them. It was something they’d figured out through trial and error, learning what worked for them and what didn’t. They’d meant to share relief, ages ago. But had somehow stumbled down this path of showers and mornings and late nights, but he wasn’t sure what he’d do without it. OR A surprisingly uncomplicated “It’s complicated” dynamic.
rated e | 13.3k | film industry au | genuinely one of my favorite characterization fics for luztoye, as well as some top-notch worldbuilding and wonderful prose. <3
- meet me on the dancefloor by brokenarrows5
“Hey there stranger!” George yells, eyes crinkling. “Thought there’d be no chance of you out here!” “Changed my mind,” Joe responds.
rated t | 1k | modern au | very very short and sweet, but with wonderful voices and humor throughout. a very nice read :)

The dim glow from the TV cast flickering shadows across Woooyoung's sharp features, his warm hand resting on yours, and his other draped over the back of the couch. You felt so safe beside him, nestled in a cocoon of blankets, his heat and presence a comfort. The movie played on, though you hadn’t been paying much attention to it, stealing glances at him every few minutes. It felt like you’d finally found a moment of peace, a moment that felt untouched by the usual chaos that came with being half-werewolf, half-human. With Woooyoung, you could forget that you were anything but his.
You settled in closer, the cozy room filled with nothing but the hum of the TV and his occasional laugh or quiet, whispered comment, always managing to bring a smile to your face. It was so effortless, so natural, being around him. As much as Woooyoung had a reputation for his playful mischief, there was a seriousness, a depth in the way he cared for you that caught you off-guard sometimes. He had always been protective, a pureblood with instincts that ran deep, strong and unmistakable—yet he’d shown nothing but patience and care for your half-blood nature, never letting it matter more than the person you were. He was your haven in ways no one else could be.
But then, all of a sudden, you felt the shift. Woooyoung's hand tightened around yours, his thumb slowing as it traced gentle circles on your knuckles. His gaze, once relaxed and lazy as he watched the movie, suddenly sharpened, an intense focus clouding over his usually warm eyes. You blinked, unsure if you were imagining it, but you felt the change ripple through him—a silent charge in the air that prickled over your skin, setting your pulse racing before you even understood why.
“Woo?” you murmured, nudging his shoulder lightly, hoping to bring him back to the moment.
He turned to you, his eyes holding a glint that hadn’t been there before, something deep, primal, and entirely possessive. You felt his gaze sweep over you, an almost hungry intensity that seemed to unnerve him just as much as it did you. It was then that you realized the warmth spreading through you, a heat unfurling from somewhere deep inside, slowly overtaking your senses. It was subtle, creeping up on you like the steady build of a storm on the horizon. The realization struck hard, a mixture of shock and nerves that made your cheeks burn.
Your heat.
This was the first time it had happened around Woooyoung, and you weren’t even sure how to process it. As a half-werewolf, your cycles had always been unpredictable, never quite like those of full-blooded wolves, but now there was no denying the signs—the way your pulse quickened, your skin tingled, and every sense seemed to be dialed up to ten. It was unmistakable, and judging by Woooyoung’s expression, he had picked up on it before you even had.
“Woooyoung, it’s fine,” you said quickly, trying to keep your voice steady, though you could hear the tremor in it. “Really. I can handle this.”
But he didn’t move, his eyes narrowing slightly as he took in your flustered expression. “Can you?” he asked softly, his voice a rougher, deeper rumble than usual. “Because from where I’m sitting… it doesn’t seem like you should be handling this alone.”
There was no mistaking the edge in his voice, an unmistakable possession, a fierceness that seemed to run far deeper than his usual protectiveness. He was close now, his hand moving from yours to gently cup your jaw, his thumb brushing along your cheek in a way that sent a shiver down your spine. His touch was warm, grounding, but you could feel the restraint there, the careful control that kept him from holding you tighter, pulling you closer.
“Woooyoung,” you whispered, trying to keep the tension at bay. “I just… I wasn’t expecting this. I didn’t think I’d be… around you when it happened.” Your voice faltered, embarrassment coloring your cheeks.
“Don’t apologize,” he murmured, his tone leaving no room for doubt. “I’m here now, and I’m not going anywhere.” He tilted your chin up, his gaze unrelenting, filled with a determination that made your heart skip a beat. “This is your first heat with me around, isn’t it?” he asked, though it was more a statement than a question. His jaw clenched, a glint of possessiveness flashing in his gaze that made your breath catch.
“Yes…” you managed, the word barely a whisper.
He nodded, a satisfied sound rumbling from him as he leaned closer, his forehead resting against yours. “I thought so. I could tell something was different tonight.” His hand slipped to the back of your neck, his fingers tangling in your hair in a way that was as much comfort as it was claim. “And you think I’d just leave you to handle this on your own?” he asked, his voice laced with a quiet intensity that sent warmth pooling through you.
“No, but…” You tried to hold onto some semblance of control, to keep things from spiraling into uncharted territory. “I didn’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
He let out a low chuckle, a sound so full of warmth and affection that it sent a shiver through you. “Trust me, the only thing that makes me uncomfortable is the idea of you feeling like you have to hide this from me.” His hand found yours again, and he held it tightly, his thumb brushing over your skin in soothing, grounding strokes. “You’re mine. All of you—everything you are, everything you feel. I want to be here with you, for all of it. So don’t try to push me away, especially not now.”
His words left no room for argument, each one infused with a strength that was as reassuring as it was intoxicating. The intensity in his gaze softened slightly as he watched you, his expression warm, protective, and so full of care that you felt your guard slip, the tension easing from your shoulders.
“Alright,” you breathed, giving in to the pull of his words, the comfort of his presence. “I just… I didn’t want this to change things between us.”
Woooyoung let out a quiet sigh, pulling you into his arms, his embrace warm and solid, a barrier against all your worries. “It doesn’t change anything,” he said firmly, his lips brushing your forehead. “If anything, it just means I get to be here for you in a way I haven’t before. I want to be here, *need* to be here.”
You could feel the depth of his emotions, the fierceness of his resolve, and it made something in your chest tighten, warmth spreading through you as you sank into his hold, letting him steady you.
As he held you, his hands gentle yet possessive, you realized that there was nothing to fear, nothing to hide. Woooyoung was here, steadfast and unflinching, a presence as constant as the stars outside the window. And for the first time, you felt truly safe in the knowledge that this was something you didn’t have to face alone.
---
The room felt suddenly warmer, the soft glow from the TV screen casting a low, intimate light over the two of you. Woooyoung’s hands lingered where they held you, one hand cradling your face with a tenderness that sent tingles down your spine, while his other hand traced slow, deliberate circles against the small of your back, his thumb grazing over the thin fabric of your shirt. His gaze, dark and intent, held yours, and you felt your breath catch as his eyes dipped to your lips.
“You don’t have to hold back,” he murmured, his voice a low rumble, his breath fanning across your face as he leaned closer. His hand slid up to the back of your neck, fingers threading gently through your hair as he tilted your head up, his thumb stroking along your jaw in a way that left you feeling dizzy, each touch grounding you and yet sparking something electric, something that was growing impossible to ignore.
You couldn’t deny the fire that was building inside, the heat that seemed to flare each time he touched you, each time his gaze lingered on you. Your heart raced, your pulse hammering in your ears as you felt yourself leaning into him, drawn to the warmth of his skin, the steady, grounding presence of him against you.
“Woo,” you whispered, though it came out breathier than you intended, your voice thick with the intensity of your own need. You felt yourself slipping, your usual control slipping with it as his fingers trailed down your neck, pausing at the delicate line of your collarbone before slowly moving down your arm, igniting every inch of skin beneath his touch.
Woooyoung’s breath hitched as he drew closer, his face only a whisper away from yours, his gaze flickering over every detail, taking you in like he was memorizing you, savoring the moment. The possessiveness in his expression was unmistakable, mingling with the tenderness in his touch as his thumb brushed over the curve of your cheek, a small, reverent gesture that somehow left you feeling even more breathless.
“I’ve never seen you like this,” he murmured, his voice thick, a little rough around the edges, his breath warm against your skin. “But God, I can’t stand the thought of letting you go through this alone. Not when I’m right here, not when I can be here for you.”
His words sent a shiver through you, your heart racing as he leaned in closer, his lips brushing the edge of your jaw, soft and barely there, but enough to send warmth pooling in your chest, spreading through you in waves. You felt your own breath hitch, the sensation of his closeness, his warmth and touch, intoxicating in a way you hadn’t anticipated.
He pulled back just slightly, his gaze finding yours, his hand still at the back of your neck as he ran his thumb over your skin, the gesture gentle, grounding. “Tell me to stop if you want me to,” he whispered, though you could see the way his eyes darkened as he watched you, his own control beginning to slip. “But if you don’t… let me be here for you.”
Your voice caught in your throat, the words escaping you as you looked up at him, feeling the full force of his gaze. The restraint, the tension in his muscles as he held himself back, all for you, all for your sake, made something in you ache. But it was his tenderness, the care in his eyes, that undid you.
“Don’t stop,” you whispered, the words barely a breath as you met his gaze, your cheeks flushed, heart pounding as you gave in to the pull between you. His eyes softened, a look of relief crossing his features before he leaned in, his lips meeting yours in a kiss that was soft and gentle at first, but that quickly deepened, his hand tightening at the back of your neck as he pulled you closer.
Your heat flared, the intensity of your need rising with each kiss, each gentle brush of his lips, each time his hands roamed over your skin with a reverence that left you breathless. Woooyoung’s hands moved to your waist, his touch warm, possessive as he pulled you closer, his lips never leaving yours, his breath mingling with yours as the kiss deepened, becoming more urgent, more fervent.
Your own hands found their way into his hair, fingers tangling as you pressed yourself closer, losing yourself in the warmth of him, the steady, grounding presence that kept you anchored even as the heat within you burned brighter, hotter with each passing second. Woooyoung’s breath hitched as your hands traced over his shoulders, down his chest, feeling the way his muscles tensed beneath your touch, his pulse quickening in sync with yours.
He pulled back just enough to catch his breath, his forehead resting against yours, his hand still at the small of your back, keeping you close, his thumb rubbing slow, soothing circles that only served to make your heart race faster.
Woooyoung’s fingers grazed the hem of your shirt, hesitating just a second before he tugged it up, his eyes never leaving yours as he carefully pulled it over your head. The shirt fell away, leaving you feeling suddenly vulnerable under his gaze, his eyes taking in every detail, a mix of admiration and possession reflected in the warmth of his gaze. His hand came to rest on your shoulder, his thumb brushing over your skin in slow, soothing strokes that sent shivers down your spine, grounding you in the tenderness of his touch.
“You’re beautiful,” he murmured, his voice soft, filled with a reverence that made your heart stutter. His hands moved with a deliberate gentleness as he traced along your collarbone, the warmth of his fingers making you melt under his touch, every movement sending waves of warmth through you. His hand drifted lower, coming to rest at your waist, fingers curling around you with a possessiveness that left you breathless.
Your own hands moved to his shirt, the need to feel him, to be closer, urging you forward as you tugged at the fabric, pulling it up and over his shoulders. His skin was warm, the muscles beneath tensing slightly as you traced your fingers over his chest, feeling the steady, reassuring beat of his heart, the way his breath hitched under your touch. He watched you intently, a softness in his gaze as he let you explore, his hands never leaving your skin, holding you close as he soaked in every moment, every reaction.
“Are you alright?” he asked softly, his voice gentle, his thumb tracing small, grounding circles against your waist as he watched you with a concern that left you feeling safe, even as the intensity between you continued to build.
“Yes,” you breathed, the word barely audible as you met his gaze, your own cheeks flushed, heart racing as you leaned into him. There was a vulnerability in this closeness, a sense of connection that went beyond words, beyond touch, and as he held you, every ounce of doubt faded, replaced by the warmth of his presence, his tenderness.
Woooyoung’s fingers moved to the waistband of your pants, his gaze flicking back to meet yours, seeking silent permission. When you nodded, he carefully slid them down, his touch gentle and reverent, leaving a trail of warmth in its wake. His breath hitched as he took in the sight of you, his gaze filled with awe and something deeper, a need that was matched by his control, his dedication to being there for you in every way you needed.
“You’re everything,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion as he held you, his hands resting at your waist, pulling you close, grounding you in the warmth, the safety of his embrace. The two of you sank back onto the couch, the world outside fading away as you let yourself fall into the warmth of his touch, the steady, grounding presence of him there beside you, as if he was your world, and you his.
In that moment, nothing else mattered—just you, Woooyoung, and the warmth that blossomed between you, a connection that went beyond anything you’d ever felt before.
“I don’t think I’ve ever wanted anything more,” he murmured, his voice rough, his gaze meeting yours with a warmth, a tenderness that left you breathless.
You felt yourself melt into him, the warmth of his hands, the steady beat of his heart beneath your fingertips grounding you as he leaned in, capturing your lips once more. His kiss was tender, reverent, filled with a care and devotion that left you feeling weightless, swept up in the warmth and safety of him.
For now, nothing else mattered.
"H-haven't been like this before" your breath hitched, barely above a whisper.
"Neither did I see you like this.. but who am I to complain? How I'd love to fuck you right now until you can't walk tomorrow.." he smiled playfully, eyes wandering all over you.
Your attitude suddenly changes, feeling provoked by his words. "Hah, if you can even compete with my heat, baby".
"Jokes on you... I'm sometimes able to coordinate my heat to other werewolfs... but you weren't aware of that, were you, my love?"
You gulped.
"What do you mean..?" you muffled, barely above a whisper. Did you have any reason to be.. scared? No, he wouldn't hurt you, never. But.. his heats were *intense*.
He leaned in closer, his breath warm against your ear, his voice a low, rumbling whisper. "It means," he murmured, "that tonight, you're not getting away from me." His fingers trailed along your arm, igniting sparks that made your skin prickle. "You’re right to be nervous... but not for the reasons you think."
Your heart raced, anticipation mingling with a thrill you couldn’t deny. Every inch of you felt hyperaware of his presence, the primal energy simmering just beneath the surface. He pulled back just enough to meet your eyes, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth as he watched you struggle with your composure.
"Tell me to stop," he dared, his gaze locked onto yours, a playful challenge lingering in his eyes. "Or... surrender."
His words hung in the air, a tantalizing choice dangling between the two of you, "you also clearly...need it" he peeked between your legs, arousal already dripping from your panties.
Your pulse thundered in your ears, the gravity of his challenge sinking in. The weight of his gaze held you there, pulling you deeper into the intensity of the moment. You tried to form words, but they tangled on your tongue, every coherent thought slipping through your grasp as his presence consumed your senses.
Your lips parted, a shaky breath escaping as you whispered, "I... I don’t want you to stop."
A triumphant glint sparked in his eyes, and he moved closer, his hand reaching up to gently cradle your face. His thumb brushed along your cheek, a delicate touch in stark contrast to the fire blazing behind his gaze. "Then surrender to me completely," he murmured, his voice like velvet, dark and alluring.
With a slight tilt of his head, he pressed his lips to yours, slow and intoxicating. The kiss was a promise, a claim, leaving you breathless and wanting more. You melted against him, feeling the strength and warmth of his hold. The tension between you shifted, giving way to a raw, undeniable pull that neither of you could ignore.
He broke the kiss just long enough to whisper, "Tonight, you’re mine." His words hung in the air, sealing the promise of a night you would never forget.
From the tender, sweet guy he was at first when he first sensed your heat... he became the primal instinct-driven man you'd always see and.. feel, on your own, whenever Wooyoung was in heat.
He suddenly lifted you in his embrace and threw you on the mattress in your shared bedroom. You slightlt got up on your elbows but were soon pushed down by Wooyoung, his right hand holding you eagerly by your throat. He undressed himself and smirked at you. That *damned* smirk... the one that was telling you that you're basically.. done for.
"Let's see if you keep yourself true to your words, baby." and as soon as he finished his words, he leaned in for a kiss. At first it was a slow, deliberate kiss, then it deepened and became more needy, lustful, craved. His tongue interlocking with yours, sloppy and playful sounds could be heard.
You loved that Wooyoung was so.. talkative, and loud whenever he was in a heat. It actually turned you the fuck on.
He took his belt from the pants he threw on the floor a moment ago and tied up your hands thighly, right above your head to the headboard. He then spread out your legs forcefully, your body arching against the linen. He ripped off your soaked panties and threw them somewhere. He got rid of his briefs, too, his huge girthy and lengthy cock springing out angrily, waiting for any kind of action. He then slightly positioned himself closer to you, one hand going between your legs, one on his cock.
"Nhh-, please.." you mumbled.
"*Please* what, darling? I can't quite.." he pushed 2 of his fingers right inde your cunt, receiving a soft moan from you, "hear you" he pushed another one, making it 3 fingers. Your back arched against his touch as he started finger-fucking your rapidly, the hand on his cock moving, too. As he started stroking his length, you tried moving up and down on his fingers, trying to get to feel him way more and deeper.
"Try to stay quiet if you can.. I dare you"
"Huh? I- Wooyoung-ah!" you moaned his name loudly as he positioned himself to your cunt and fully thrusted in, no warning before he started fucking you rapidly and roughly. ""I want to see how far I can push you.. see where your limits really are."
As Woooyoung was senselessly ramming into you, his hands roamed in your body, his lips too. They went from your thighs which he kissed and, at first, softly bite, to your belly where he harshly sucked your skin and left marks all over, then to your collarbones and breasts where his lips found their way to your now-hardener nipples. He suck them off for a long minute at the same time he was fucking you, sending shivers through your whole body.
"I love the way you react to me. All those little shivers... I could do this all night" he cockily said, thrusting even more rapidly, breath hitching in his throat as he leaned in for a soft kiss. As he pulled back and saliva dripped from your lips, he looked down at his cock going in and out of you rapidly. He saw your face flushed, not being able to look in his eyes. "Keep your eyes on me. Don’t you dare look away—I want to see every second you lose control."
He flipped you over. Yes, his cock was still inches deep inside you, but he flipped you over and one hand went over to the nape of your neck, pushing your face in the mattress. His left hand, the free one, went to your ass and squeezed it once, then he slappped you hard, leaving a rosy mark on your fair skin. You whined at the rough touch, sound barely above a whisper, face buried in the linen. The same hand from your ass went to rest on the curve of your back, softly pushing himself in way better. He started rapidly fucking you again, but this time with a twist. You could feel him in all your sweets spots, back arching and legs already starting to tremble as you felt your high coming closer and closer.
"Wooyoung, ngh-I'm cl-close...!" you shouted, barely being able to form coherent words. As soon as he understood what you meant, you could basically feel the smirk he gave you a second before his hand travelled between your legs from over your legs and waist, aiming for your cunt. His dick inches in you and ppunding into you, 2 of his fingers circled your swollen clit. You quietly moaned at his touch. As soon as he combined those two motions, ramming and circling your clit, you came down from your high beautifully, creaming on his cock. He fucked you through your orgasm and he for sure didn't plan on stopping.
"I know exactly where to touch you, where to push you… look at you coming undone just like I knew you would. Good girl, princess." Woo confidently and cockily said, drops of sweat falling off his head on your chest. "Let's try one.. more. Shall we? I’m going to make sure you feel me in every breath you take."
"Wooyoung wait-!"
"What." he said, confused.
"Slow d-down !" you whispered.
""I'm not stopping until I have you exactly how I want you" he flipped you over on your back again and lifted you up. He pushed you to the uncluttered wall in the room, the headboard behind you slightly breaking when he forced the belt off. Your hands fell to his shoulders, holding onto him thightly. He held you by your ass and pulled you close, making you jump on his cock.
"I love fucking you against a wall so damn much.. and I'm so sad your heat is irregular.. really fucks up my mood. But now? I will make sure you won't be able to walk tomorrow, as I said." and he started kissing your collarbone. He bit you again, this time leaving teeth marks all over.
"You feel so good.. sweetie. I'm so close-" his breath caught up in his throat as he released his load in your cunt, pounding it all up in you. He took his sweet time until he felt satisfied with the amount of thrusts he did and pushed you over the edge, legs trembling around him and hands barely holding onto him. You came down from your high the 2nd time for the night.. and it was not about to be even close to the last one.
"See? This is what you joined in for. How do you feel about it, sweetie?"
"Please just... don't ever stop" you muffled, with teary eyes and a smirk on your face.
He leaned in close, a smirk playing on his lips, his gaze flickering with that unmistakable spark. "Oh, sweetheart," he murmured, his voice low and teasing, "we’re nowhere near done. I warned you, didn’t I? Once you’re in, there’s no stopping. And tonight? We’re just getting started."
He tilted his head, brushing his thumb over your cheek, taking in the way your breath hitched at his touch. "Think you can keep up with me?" he asked, letting a confident chuckle slip through as he traced his fingertips along your skin. His expression softened for a moment, but that mischievous glint in his eyes stayed strong, hinting at the intensity yet to come.

MEET THE GOJOS✩༶‧˚
GENRE + T/W: sfw, fluff. mentions of injury and blood. WORD COUNT: 10.8k words. TAGS: satoru gojo x fem!oc. mutual pining. the babies are still not official yet.
SYNOPSIS: satoru asks oc gojo girlfriend to visit his clan with him during the semester break. how will meeting the gojo clan go? AUTHOR'S NOTE: made up my own gojo clan lore. fuck it, we ball lol. the hardest part is coming up with names for people. also, playful cloud belongs to the zen’nin clan, but in this au it belongs to the gojo clan because i swear i thought it did. i left a present in this fic for you guys and it starts with a 'first' and ends with 'kiss'. REMINDER: if you want to imagine yourself in oc gojo girlfriend's character descriptions instead, please do!
your first semester at tokyo jujutsu high had flown by. you've been sent on your very first mission with satoru (thanks to yaga-sensei), practiced your close combat with mei mei, sharpened up your cursed technique, refined your domain expansion, and of course, spent all of your free time with satoru gojo.
you and satoru were practically inseparable since your birthday. you don't know how it ended up this way, and everyone on campus knew that you both liked each other, but neither of you wanted to admit your feelings for each other. whenever anyone would bring it up, you'd both say that you were 'just friends'.
friends. friends that slept in each other's beds, friends that would buy each other souvenirs just because they reminded them of that person, friends that would link arms and hold hands while they walked together, friends that worried about each other when they went on missions, friends that called each other at random times of the day just to hear their voice. sure, you and satoru gojo were just 'friends'.
"(y/n), when are you and gojo just finally going to date each other?" shoko asked you out of the blue. she looked up from her medical textbook and stared at you, waiting for an answer.
you looked up from your pre-calculus notes, "i think dating satoru gojo is the least of my worries, shoko. i have a b+ in pre-calculus right now."
"being (y/n) (l/n) must be soooo hard." shoko mocked you playfully, "she's pretty, she's smart, and she has the one and only satoru gojo wrapped around her fingers."
a thought came to your head as you paused, putting down your pencil, "shoko, can i ask you something?"
"sure. go for it."
you asked that question you’ve always wondered, "have you ever liked satoru or suguru? as more than just friends?"
shoko started laughing hysterically, "never. both of them are definitely not my type. they are my best friends though, and i love them. that's why i keep pushing you to date gojo. i want to see you both end up together."
you rolled your eyes, "—and why would you want that for me? satoru's insufferable."
"i can't imagine gojo with anyone but you. you two are like yin and yang, fire and ice. you're basically geto but a girl version. you and geto are the moral compass to that guy. it's no wonder gojo likes you so much. i've never seen him act like this before. and to be honest, i never thought he'd ever be faithful to a girl."
"oh, so satoru's a flirt? i knew it." you giggled at the memory of satoru's bold faced lie. "he told me the other day he doesn't flirt with anyone."
"gojo will flirt with anything that breathes even though he doesn't mean to. he's just naturally a people person." shoko stated as-a-matter-of-factly, "but since you came to the school, i've never seen him so curious over a girl before. you should've saw the way he moped around campus when you went to visit your family for the weekend."
you pointed your pencil at shoko, "he came to see me at my clan's estate that weekend too. my brother was so suspicious of him."
shoko looked over at you again, "hey—i heard that gojo asked you to visit his clan with him for the upcoming break. the gojo clan seems to be interested in you. are you going to go?"
flashback: one week ago
the weather was starting to get colder as the climax of winter was arriving. ice clung around the cobblestone pathway, while a light layer of snow laced the school grounds. you and satoru were walking hand in hand outside sharing a small pocket hand warmer, giggling about sweet nothings and enjoying the day together.
satoru stopped in his tracks, grabbing your attention. "(y/n)."
you halted and looked back at satoru, "what? do i have something in my hair?"
"nothing's in your pretty hair, princess." he chuckled at how cute you were, "what do you think about going back to visit my clan with me next week?" satoru shrugged, shoving his hands in his pockets. he avoided eye contact with you, afraid of possible rejection.
"me? go back with you? to meet your family?" your eyes widened in surprise. he really wanted you to meet his family?
"yeah, my grandparents want to meet you—and to see your cursed technique. plus, i hear that our clans are actually good friends or allies, whatever you want to call it."
you remembered touya telling you that the gojo clan are allies of your clan. that was another reason why your clan elders were okay with you attending tokyo jujutsu high instead of kyoto—because satoru gojo was here.
you bit your lip. would it really be okay to go back with satoru to meet his family if you weren't officially dating? would they scold him for bringing you back to the estate? the last thing you wanted was to make a bad impression.
"are you nervous or something?" satoru asked as he stepped closer to you, invading your personal space like he always did.
you looked up at him, his blue eyes softening in your gaze, "do you think it would be weird? me going to meet your family?"
"i don't see why not—" satoru shrugged, "i mean, we spend almost every day together. you're pretty much my gir—"
satoru stopped himself to correct his sentence, "we're pretty much always with each other." he cleared his throat, "plus, our grandparents supposedly know each other."
satoru started to feel hot like an iron was branding his cheeks, he wanted to change the subject quickly. he couldn't believe he almost called you his girlfriend. he was kicking himself for that one.
an evil chesire-grin spread across your face, "you were about to say girlfriend, weren't you?"
"no i wasn't!" satoru was mortified and caught red-handed. he looked away from you, but you ran in front of him and blocked his path.
you taunted him, "satoru, just say it!"
satoru sighed, knowing he would never win an argument against you, the queen of stubbornness. the 6'3" sorcerer leaned into your 5'3" frame, "do you wanna be my girlfriend, (y/n)?"
you gulped while meeting his gaze. you felt like he could see right through you. he always made you so nervous. your heart skipped a beat when you looked at his lips. that stupid satoru gojo and his pretty lips. with lips like that he hasn't even tried to kiss you yet? the closest thing to affection he ever showed you were half-assed hugs. you never took satoru for a 'where my hug at?' guy until now.
"no, i don't want to be your girlfriend, satoru." you looked away from him, lying through your teeth.
"aw, come on. don't be shy now, (y/n)." satoru teased you, waiting for an answer to his question.
you rolled your eyes and changed the subject, "i'll go back next week with you to meet your family."
satoru lifted his face out of your personal bubble and celebrated with a little victory dance, shimmy-ing around the courtyard as you shook your head in defeat. you smiled at the fact he wanted you to meet his family.
to you, it felt like you were being tested. to satoru, it felt like he had won the lottery.
end flashback
"we're leaving tomorrow actually. he said his clan elders have stuff they want to talk to him about before the new semester."
"—and they want to meet you." shoko added.
you brushed her off. "it's not even like that, shoko."
the library door slid open, "it's not like what?" suguru interrupted.
"oh my god, suguru, get this. (y/n) is going to meet the gojo clan tomorrow." shoko started to update him on the hot new gossip on campus.
suguru set down his books next to you and flipped open his notebook. he was trying not to laugh. "satoru's already got you meeting the family? and he hasn't even made it official with you yet?"
"right?" shoko asked her other bestie, instigating the situation.
"come on, make him work for it, (y/n)."
you rolled your eyes, "you two are ridiculous."
"again—you and satoru would be cute together." shoko sang.
satoru busted through the library door, he had his books tucked under his left arm, a can of coke in his left hand, and a box of kikufuku in his right. speak of the handsome devil. he gave shoko and suguru a head nod, and smiled when he made eye contact with you. he was late to the study party, as aways.
"are you ever going to be time?" you chastised satoru. he put his arm around you, hugging you with little effort as you leaned into his chest.
"god, you two should just get a room already." shoko incited, twirling her pencil between her fingers.
satoru winked at the amber-eyed sorcerer. you gave him a death stare, knowing that he was probably thinking about something childish or innapporiate.
"what's in the box, satoru?" suguru asked.
satoru's face lit up, excited about the sweet treats he brought, "i brought kikufuku!" he passed everyone a piece.
the next day
"god, i feel like i failed my exam." you complained to your classmates as you all walked out of the classroom.
satoru put his arm around your shoulder, nuzzling his face next to yours, "i'm sure you did fine, (y/n). even if you failed this test, you'd still pass the class."
"she's used to getting straight a's, satoru, not a barely passing grade like you." suguru expressed.
"i feel pretty good about my test," shoko admitted, "(y/n), don't worry. at least you're still pretty.
you all laughed and joked around together while walking back to the dorms. suguru and shoko would be staying behind during the semester break while you and satoru were going to be leaving campus.
"(y/n), are you ready to head out?" satoru asked, unable to hide his eagerness to leave.
you smiled at him, "yeah, let me grab my stuff."
you spent all of last night packing for your weekend trip to the gojo clan's estate. this morning before class, you and satoru went on a quick errand together to buy fruits and a small cake as a gift. you told satoru that it was a good gesture to present a small gift to his family if you were going to be meeting them for the first time. and just for that thought, he couldn't say no to you.
you rolled your suitcase outside of your dorm to meet satoru in the hallway. he looked over at you and gave you his million dollar smile that always made butterflies flutter in your stomach. he had a small backpack ready to go, throwing it over his shoulder, taking your suitcase from you.
"a whole suitcase for a two day weekend?" satoru poked fun at you. you were so high maintenance, it wasn't even funny.
"i had to make sure i have options."
"you already know you look beautiful in anything.” satoru mumbled quietly as you gave him a self-satisfied smirk.
you looped your arm over his as he clasped his palms together, teleporting you to a beautiful, large minka with a gorgeous stone walkway.
the gojo clan's estate
you and satoru jumped down from the air and started walking along the walkway to the entrance of the gojo clan's estate. satoru held your hand, guiding you through the gated area. there was a large koi pond to the left.
"that is a huge koi pond." you ran over to see the koi fish swimming around. there were lily pads and rocks all over the pond. different sizes and colors of koi fish started to swim towards you.
"want to feed them?" satoru asked.
you nodded your head in excitement as satoru walked to a wooden storage unit next to the pond to take out a bucket of fish feed.
"they'll eat out of your hand." he told you, scooping a large amount of fish feed into your hand. he watched you place your hand into the water as koi fish started to surround you.
"this pond has been here for almost 500 years. some of the fish in here are really old." satoru told you as he watched your bright green eyes admire the pond, he felt his heart melting at the sight. you were so beautiful and radiant in his six eyes. how was it that seeing you so happy and content with something so simple as feeding fish could set his heart on fire?
satoru ran the water hose for you so you could wash your hands. you looked up at him, "satoru, it's beautiful here."
"the clan tends to take pretty good care of the estate." satoru was pleased to hear that from you. you noticed that he was looking off in the distance behind you.
"oh—hey grams!" the white haired sorcerer waved to an older woman that was walking towards the both of you.
you immediately felt nervous, a pink flush filling your cheeks. you took a step behind satoru, feeling him squeeze your hand in reassurance. you had a feeling you were about to meet a member of the gojo clan.
"i felt your cursed energy as soon as you teleported here, boy." the older woman laughed and hugged satoru, "satoru, who is this?" the woman peered over at you.
"grams, this is (y/n) (l/n)." satoru stated proudly with a bright smile, "she's our guest this weekend."
"your grandfather didn't tell me that we were having any guests! my goodness, let's get you two settled in.” satoru's grandmother turned to you, "(y/n), it's a pleasure to meet you. i'm satoru's grandmother."
you admired the woman who just introduced herself to you. she had grey hair in a neat, low bun. she had beautiful purple eyes, just like an amethyst. you sensed her vast amount of cursed energy. you bowed your head and greeted her properly.
"hi, obaa-san. my name is (y/n) (l/n) of the (l/n) clan. satoru and i brought fruits and a cake for the family to enjoy."
satoru's grandmother laughed, "well, that's sweet of you. no need to bow to me, child. i know your grandparents very well, (y/n). and you can call me sobo or 'grams' like satoru does."
she lifted your chin to study your face, "you look just like your mother and your grandmother. kanae gave birth to very beautiful children, you and your brother, touya." (a/n: oc gojo girlfriend's grandma and mother's names are inspired by demon slayer characters)
you felt a warmth of familiarity and comfort wash over you. you blushed at her compliment. satoru smiled at the sight of you and his grandmother interacting, enjoying what he was hearing and seeing. during one of the many nights that you and satoru spent together, he told you that his grandmother raised him growing up. she was his favorite person in the world. and now you were meeting her.
"thank you so much, sobo." you decided to call her sobo instead of grams. maybe one day you'd end up calling her grams, but for now, sobo will do. (a/n: there are so many ways to address a grandmother in japanese, i just chose this one.)
"satoru, please bring (y/n)'s belongings to your room for now. i'll make sure to have the housekeepers prepare a room for her."
"she can just sleep in my room with me, grams." satoru said nonchalantly.
his grandmother smacked his arm, "over my dead body, boy!"
satoru ran off hysterically laughing, only for him to come back and hug her. he kissed her on the cheek and grabbed your suitcase to head the opposite way. you followed his grandmother.
"we're going to get you a fresh clean komon kimono. these ones are specially made for the gojo clan." sobo smiled warmly at you. in that moment, she reminded you of your own grandmother. her welcoming aura put you at ease.
she led you into the gojo clan's beautiful minka. you were in awe. it was truly a work of art. the floors were heated and made of the finest bamboo. white and blue porcelain vases, jade statues, and expensive paintings decorated the long corridor that led to different rooms. it was a beautiful combination of modern and old-fashioned style. the lighting was brilliant and illuminated every detail in the estate. you expected no less from the number one family in jujutsu society.
you saw a couple of housekeepers getting dinner tables ready. as you and sobo walked by, they turned to bow their heads at her and quickly resumed back to what they were doing. you could tell that she was highly respected in the household by the way everyone bowed to her and catered to her every request with no hesitation or resistance.
you and sobo turned the corner, entering a small room where two girls were washing and drying kimonos and haoris by hand. they bowed when you both entered the room.
"good evening, madam gojo. is there something we can help you with today?" one of the girls asked.
"akemi, would you please prepare a kimono for our guest? this is (y/n) (l/n).
"it's a pleasure to meet you!" you greeted akemi, bowing.
"miss (l/n), what color kimono would you like to wear?" akemi asked you with a friendly smile. she started to show you all the fabrics hanging on the clothing racks. "—we have kimonos and haoris in all colors and fabrics."
"akemi, get her the jade green one. she looks best in that color." satoru chimed in from the entrance of the wash room.
satoru flashed a smile at you. he had changed into a white t-shirt and black pants, sporting a new pair of sunglasses. akemi and the second girl immediately stopped what they were doing and bowed towards him.
"good evening, master gojo. we'll prepare the green kimono for miss (l/n)." akemi turned to her partner, "hitomi, make sure you get master gojo's orange haori with the dragonflies ready as well."
"will do." hitomi turned to satoru, "sorry for the wait, master gojo."
"oh my god," satoru groaned, "what did i tell you two about calling me master gojo? just call me satoru. master sounds weird."
you and sobo laughed at satoru's interaction with the two girls. sobo left to supervise the kitchen as akemi and hitomi quickly prepared the kimono and haori for you and satoru. you changed behind the screen as they took your school uniform from you. they mentioned that they would have your uniform washed, pressed, and returned to your room by the end of the day.
akemi helped wrap your chest with a white cotton wrap as you draped the jade green kimono over your shoulders. with assistance from akemi, she tied a beautiful bow with a darker green ribbon behind your back.
"wow! miss (l/n), you look beautiful!" akemi beamed, "would you like green ribbons to replace the blue one in your hair?"
"that would be nice, but i'll keep the blue ribbon with me. satoru got this for me as a gift when he got back from a mission!" (read 'souvenirs' here)
surprised, akemi asked, "are you a jujutsu sorcerer like master gojo?"
you nodded, "i am."
"—and she's a pretty strong one too." satoru added, moving the screen. akemi's jaw dropped at the sudden intrusion. she was surprised that satoru came over and moved the screen as you were in the midst of changing your clothes.
"my apologies, master gojo. i should've told you if miss (l/n) was finished changing or not."
"no worries, akemi. it's nothing i haven't seen before." he winked at her.
you glared at satoru, "akemi, please ignore him. he has not seen me naked." you wished you could launch an ice shard at him for that.
akemi giggled and patted your back before she left you and satoru alone in the wash room. you turned back to him, piercing him with your emerald green eyes, "why would you joke around like that around your housekeepers?"
satoru ignored you, "trust me, the whole household is just over the moon that i brought a girl back with me this time. they're setting up a whole banquet today because gramps told them to."
"are you going to tell them i'm not your girlfriend though?" you confronted satoru. he rolled his beautiful blue eyes at you, grabbing your hand to lead you out of the wash room. he would actually like to introduce you as his girlfriend, but he wasn't sure how you'd react. he would have to find the right time to do so.
"come on, let me show you around—you look beautiful by the way." satoru complimented you as you blushed, forgetting that you were in the middle of scolding him. he sure was a sweet talker.
satoru led you back to the main hallway that you and sobo were walking through earlier. you admired his orange haori. the complimentary color made his eyes look bluer than usual. you passed by more housekeepers while you walked down the hallway, letting go of satoru's hand as you walked next to him.
satoru frowned at your sudden action, "what? don't wanna hold my hand now?"
"it's not that... it's just—we're at your clan's estate. be a little more modest with the pda." you quietly reminded him.
satoru respected your feelings whenever you were too shy to show pda in public. it was only just recently that you two started holding hands at the school and knowing satoru gojo, he would hold your hand whenever he got the chance. he was always the first one to initiate any pda. physical touch was his love language next to gift giving. satoru would probably die if he couldn't be within arms reach of you.
he put his arm around you in a half hug as if he was saying 'alright, fine then' before he walked in front of you to continue leading the way down the corridor. he showed you the family portraits on the wall of the gojo clan throughout the years. you recognized him in one of the portraits as a child. he was holding up a peace sign, ruining the picture. how very satoru gojo coded.
"you looked like such a trouble maker." you joked with him before asking, "—where are your parents?"
satoru pointed at a couple in a different picture. his father had white hair and his mother had light brown hair. "my mom married into the family. as you can see, my dad is the one with white hair and purple eyes."
you glanced at his parents. you guessed that the white hair ran in the gojo clan. his mother had beautiful golden eyes, reminding you of touya.
"wait. oh my god—am i meeting your parents tonight?!" you started to panic. you weren't ready to meet satoru's parents.
"nah, my parents are out on business. they're in africa studying a cursed tool that can apparently disrupt our clan's technique." (a/n: jjk0 miguel's rope anyone?!)
you sighed in relief. satoru turned to face you with a mischievous smile, "speaking of cursed tools, let me show you the gojo clan's collection."
the gojo clan's basement
satoru led the way further down the corridor. he opened a door that led to a stone chamber, unlocking the door using a two finger hand motion and some cursed energy. the lock unlocked and floated forward, dropping on to the ground.
"all that for a lock?" you laughed at all the effort that was needed.
satoru turned to you and grinned, "cursed tools are expensive on the black market."
he opened the door and flipped the light switch on. you gasped at the sight. the gojo clan's collection of cursed tools and objects was vast and extremely organized.
"all the cursed objects are sorted in order of power from grade 4-1." satoru explained. "and this one is my favorite."
satoru took a red, three piece nunchaku off the wall and threw it at you. "this one is called playful cloud. i grew up with it. and it's only as strong as the person who uses it."
you caught it and twirled playful cloud around. it was heavy. some cursed tools felt disgusting to hold, but playful cloud felt fine. you gave it back to satoru and walked down the room, admiring the wall of knives and blades. as you and satoru were talking about the cursed objects, you heard a stern voice call his name.
"satoru."
the both of you turned around. an older man with grey hair, a grey beard, and piercing dark blue eyes appeared.
"gramps." satoru bowed. you followed his lead and bowed as well. it was his grandfather. you could sense the immensely strong cursed energy from him as well.
satoru introduced you to his grandfather, "gramps, this is (y/n) (l/n)." he smiled proudly.
"ah, this is genkei's granddaughter? it's a pleasure to meet you, (y/n)."
genkei was your grandfather. you were surprised at how far back your clan and the gojo clan went. satoru’s grandparents and your grandparents were on a first name basis.
"it's a pleasure to meet you as well, ojiisan. you have a beautiful home and an impressive collection of cursed objects."
satoru's grandfather smiled at you. "no need for honorifics, call me ojii, (y/n). are you hungry? we're going to start dinner soon. your grandfather told me that you enjoy sushi."
"—and gramps requested omakase today." satoru added with a grin.
"only because you're home for the weekend, satoru." ojii smiled back at his grandson, "come, (y/n). let me show you to the banquet hall."
his grandfather reached his hand out to you and you held onto it.
"oh, so you'll hold my gramps' hand but not mine?" satoru asked, folding his arm like a child throwing a tantrum.
you turned back to shoot a glare at him, your blazing green eyes telling him to ‘shut up’. he held his chest in fake despair while following behind you and his grandfather. you could see ojii laughing to himself as he guided you to the banquet hall.
dinner with the gojo clan
ojii hit a traditional gong to gather everyone's attention. there were multiple tables set up and everyone in the gojo clan was attending this dinner, even the housekeepers and cooks. no one was ever left behind.
"i'd like to announce satoru’s return. he just finished the semester at tokyo jujutsu high." ojii started to say. you watched as family members clapped and cheered for satoru. satoru really was the pride and joy of the gojo clan. you wondered what his childhood was like growing up surrounded by so many people who admired him.
"also, i'd like to introduce our guest tonight, (y/n) (l/n) of the (l/n) clan."
everyone clapped and stared curiously at you. you smiled nervously and waved to everyone. satoru couldn't help but gaze at you in adoration. after the introductions, everyone started to eat. the banquet hall was filled with light conversation and laughter. drinks were being poured and there were different types of fresh sashimi, nigiri, and sushi rolls presented on the dinner table in front of you.
satoru turned to you, "you okay? you're quiet. if we were at splendid sushi right now, you wouldn't have waited for me to eat."
"just taking everything in," you said softly as you were overwhelmed, "this is pretty extravagant for your return home."
"i told you, gramps is being extra just because i brought a girl home." satoru scoffed, "here—take some wasabi." he placed a small dollop of the green paste on your plate.
as you and satoru were eating, his grandparents were watching the both of you. they were happy that satoru finally brought someone home to visit with him that wasn't shoko or suguru. someone that could be his life partner.
sobo and ojii thought back to how they got married. they had an arranged marriage within the jujutsu society and were married when they turned 18. satoru's grandmother was part of a small family of jujutsu sorcerers. her family wanted to form an alliance with the gojo clan and offered her to the gojo clan as a deal. and that's how she met ojii.
"dear, don't you think satoru and (y/n) make a fine couple? satoru seems to really like her." sobo whispered to ojii as he took a bite of his nigiri.
"don't you dare reach out to kanao to try to set them up." ojii laughed at his wife. after 40 years of marriage, ojii could read sobo like a book. he knew what she was thinking.
kanao was your grandmother. currently, your grandparents, genkei and kanao, were the main decision-making elders of your clan. they were also a part of the faction of elders in the jujutsu society.
satoru's grandmother started to imagine a future for you two. "can you imagine how grand a gojo and (l/n) wedding would be? and how powerful their child would be if they were born with a cursed technique?"
"i wonder what technique their child would inherit. do you think it'd be a mix of limitless and an element?" his grandfather wondered, "unfortunately, i don't believe their child would inherit the six eyes or the water element since only one person can inherit that in a lifetime."
"they are just like the legend of that couple." sobo said excitedly, "what if they're the reincarnation of those ancestors? oh dear, let's see if we can arrange a marriage for them." she begged her husband.
ojii brushed off his wife's request, "our son and his wife aren't even home to discuss this with. let's just let the children be children, my love. i don't believe they do arranged marriages in this day and age anymore."
the grey haired couple watched as satoru used his chopsticks to pick up a piece of his favorite sushi to place on your plate. you picked it up and ate it, chewing in approval. you gave satoru a soft smile, cheeks full of food as he laughed at you. he brushed your hair out of your face and behind your ear as you continued to chew your sushi with delight. his grandparents were in awe at his behavior towards you. they've never seen anything like it. they never thought they'd live long enough to see the day where their beloved grandson would show any acts of affection towards another person.
later that night
"(y/n). i had the housekeepers set up the empty bedroom next to satoru’s for you. i hope that's okay."
"yes, that's great. thank you, sobo." you bowed towards satoru's grandmother.
"hey grams, isn't (y/n) great?" satoru asked his grandmother, "don't you think having a (l/n) in the gojo clan would be a good idea?"
she teased him, knowing damn well satoru liked you and wanted to know what she thought of you. "she is quite a remarkable young lady. maybe we should set her up with one of your cousins so she can marry into the clan."
"no way, grams!" satoru got defensive, "(y/n) is my—no one in our family is her type!" he huffed, arms folded.
you laughed at the interaction between satoru and his grandmother. sobo grinned and winked at you. she was on your side, and rooting for you and satoru too.
"(y/n), sweetheart. the bathrooms are across the hall from your room. the shower springs should be nice and warm by now. towels, a robe, and slippers are in there for you as well. take your time."
"thank you, again!"
you turned to faced satoru, "i'm going to get settled down for the night, satoru. i'll see you in the morning." you gave satoru a warm smile and wave before turning to leave for the showers.
he looked at you from under his sunglasses. he waved while watching you walk away. he was unable to contain his happiness. you were really here with him in the very home he grew up in... and you got the stamp of approval from his grandmother.
*****************************
you stepped into the guest room and your jaw dropped at the sight. the room had a queen-sized futon made with a bamboo board. the room was spotless and smelled like jasmine. a large floor to ceiling window with sheer white curtains faced the massive koi pond from outside. you saw that your school uniform was folded neatly and placed on the corner of your bed along with your suitcase that satoru brought into his room earlier.
you grabbed your toiletries and headed to the bathroom. you took your time in the shower as the hot water soothed your muscles. you were quite nervous meeting satoru's grandparents today that you didn't realize how tense your body was. you hoped that you made a good first impression on them for satoru's sake. you would hate to make him look bad for bringing you here.
once you finished showering and drying your hair, you changed into a long sleeved sweater and cotton shorts. you made your way back to your room to find satoru sitting in your bed tapping away on his phone. you could tell by his damp hair that he was also freshly showered too. how could one person look so handsome after a shower? and why did that handsome person have to be in your room?
"satoru, what are you doing here?!" you hissed.
satoru looked at you in disbelief, raising his eyebrows at you, "you're telling me that just because my grams said you can't sleep in my room, i can't be in here with you?"
"absolutely not." you stated, "what if she thinks we're up to no good?"
satoru got up from your bed and started walking towards you, "and what if we are?"
you summoned a wall of water in front of you. nervous of him coming any closer to you.
"jeez, what was that for?" satoru asked, scratching the back of his head in confusion.
"i want to make a good impression for your grandparents, satoru. and sneaking around at night like we do at jujutsu high isn't a good look for me." you admitted.
his family's opinion of you meant a lot to you personally, especially because you liked satoru. the more time you spent with the special grade idiot, the more your feelings for him grew. and right now, you felt like your heart couldn't like him any more than you already did.
satoru reassured you, "trust me. they love you already. they wouldn't change their minds about you even if they caught me in here." he chuckled at the thought of his grams chasing him out of your room with a broomstick.
you released the wall of water that separated you from satoru. you walked over to him with a frown, reaching your arms out for a comforting embrace. he smiled at how adorable you looked with your puffed out cheeks, pouty lips, and emerald green eyes. he brought you in for a hug.
"does that mean we have to sleep in separate rooms tonight?" you laughed in his chest, "what am i going to do without my arm pillow?" (read 'sleeping with the enemy' here)
satoru groaned reluctantly, "if grams finds me in here, she might chop off a certain body part i need later in life for reproduction."
satoru looked down at you, grateful that you were in his arms. "gramps wants me to bring you back at the next semester break. what do you think about that?"
"i'll think about it," you taunted satoru, "depends on if we're still a thing by next year."
this dreaded situationship. this relationship between you and satoru that was lacking a clear definitive answer of commitment to each other. neither of you could start that conversation, neither of you had the guts. but maybe it was time to discuss it.
"don't think i'm letting you go that easily." satoru remarked. he kept his arms around your waist, squeezing you tighter as you giggled. god, he loved that laugh. it was music to his ears.
you placed your hands on his chest. his blue eyes sparkled like the tokyo bay whenever he looked at you, his perfect slender nose led your gaze to his soft pink lips.
he slowly leaned down towards you. you could feel his quiet breath against yours as you felt your heart race. you stood on the tip of your toes, moving your hands from his chest to lock your arms around his neck and shoulders instead.
you couldn't tell who kissed who first, but your lips and satoru's lips were made for each other. it was like the satisfying feeling of two puzzle pieces fitting perfectly together.
your tongues entangled, the two of you giving each other gentle kisses until you both felt like you couldn't breathe. you just couldn’t get enough of kissing satoru. you felt dizzy and out of breath, but you still wanted more.
and that was yours and satoru's first kiss.
as you pulled away from satoru to catch your breath, running your tongue across your bottom lip, still tasting his strawberry-flavored lip balm on you. you continued to hold him close. he studied your face before cracking a joke to break the awkwardness in the air.
"my virgin lips!" satoru gasped in fake shock as you laughed and kissed him again to steal his fake innocence. he couldn't believe that he finally got to kiss you. he was so infatuated with you in this very moment. if this was how it felt to kiss you, he hoped that he could do it every day for the rest of his life (along with hearing your laugh that he loved so much).
"that was really our first kiss? what took you so long?" you asked satoru in disbelief.
"it only took about 2 months." satoru dramatically sighed, "you're playing hard to get, princess. there was only so much hand holding and hugging i could take."
you scrutinized him, "it's only fair that a girl plays hard to get when it comes to satoru gojo."
"well, then. it's a good thing satoru gojo only wants one girl and her name is (y/n) (l/n)."
you continued to banter with him just how he liked, "wow, she sounds like a great girl for satoru gojo to only want her."
"she is." satoru beamed with pride, "she's the girl of my dreams." he said as he snuck another kiss.
you rolled your eyes and laughed, "you're so cheesy, babe."
satoru blinked twice, tilting his head to the right, "did you just call me babe?"
"no, sorry, i meant satoru." you quickly covered your mouth with your hands, a flush of red filling your cheeks.
satoru corrected you, "who’s satoru? i go by babe now."
"satoru."
"no! go back to calling me babe!" he whined, hoping you'd change your mind again.
you couldn't contain your laugh. you attempted to change the subject to distract him. you asked him sweetly so he couldn’t resist, "satoru, can you kiss me again?"
"don't gotta tell me twice, babe." satoru grinned, throwing back the petname towards you.
the white haired sorcerer bent down again to kiss you on your forehead, down your nose and on your lips again. you hit him on the chest.
"what was that for?!" satoru complained, "first we're kissing and then i get a smack to the chest?"
"this!" you motioned your arms around him and you, "—is why your grandmother didn't want us sleeping in the same room!"
satoru smirked at you, "i don't care. i'm staying here tonight."
you squealed as he swiftly picked you up bridal style and placed you on the bed, the both of you getting under the covers. he turned to face you as you watched him.
he kissed you on your forehead and left one last strawberry-flavored peck on your lips. he stroked your cheek with his hand and smiled at you. you turned your back to him so he could be the big spoon. he gave you an arm pillow as his free hand wrapped around your waist, pulling you closer to him.
"goodnight, satoru." you said, closing your eyes.
he called out your name before you fell asleep. "(y/n)?"
"what, satoru?" you asked, furrowing your eyebrows. this man would never let you sleep in peace. maybe you should have never invited him into your room on that one fateful day. (read 'love at first fight' here)
"can you call me babe again?"
you could feel your eyes rolling to the back of your head, "oh my god, satoru. no. go to sleep or go back to your room."
"it was worth a try." satoru grinned as he snuck a kiss to your shoulder blade. he snuggled his face into the crevice of your neck and shoulder. you could feel his soft breath against the nape of your neck as you fell asleep to the scent of jasmine and the warmth of satoru's body.
*****************************
little did you know, while you were sleeping, sobo and ojii opened the bedroom door to check on you. and to their surprise, they saw satoru in your bed too. his frosty white head of hair was still snug between your neck and shoulders, his arm curved around your waist as you both cuddled for warmth under the cool linen duvet. they smiled at each other as they saw the two of you sleeping together peacefully.
"look at them, dear... aren’t they precious?" sobo whispered to ojii as he smiled back at her. his grandparents were happy that their grandson was happy. being the satoru gojo was lonely, anyone who was willing to love their grandson for him and not for the powers he possessed was enough for them.
and you were enough for the gojo clan.
the next morning
"gramps wants to see your cursed technique, so we're heading to the sparring dojo after breakfast." satoru explained, biting into a piece of toast. you used your thumb to wipe off the crumbs that stuck to his bottom lip. you planted a gentle kiss on the corner of his mouth.
you were enjoying breakfast together in the banquet hall. in front of you were small plates of bacon, sausages, eggs cooked sunny side up for you and scrambled for satoru, toast with different flavored jams, and a small stack of pancakes with a little too much syrup thanks to satoru. the head cook of the gojo clan went all out for the occasion, happy to see you enjoying the food here.
"so what cursed technique does your ojii have?" you asked satoru as you poked at a piece of sausage with your fork.
"anything i can do, he can do and more. he just doesn't have the six eyes. and he's pretty damn good with close combat. almost everyone in my family is."
you leaned into him innocently and nudged his shoulder, "maybe you can teach me sometime."
satoru laughed at your sudden bold move on him, "what? training with mei isn't good enough?"
"she kicks my ass every time." you groaned. every spar with mei mei was grueling. no wonder her and touya got along.
"i'm not gonna go easy on you, babe." satoru sipped his orange juice, "just because you're cute, don't think i'll let you win. i never lose."
"babe, huh?" you laughed, thinking about last night and how you called him that first.
satoru smiled mischievously at you, "would you rather it be sweetie pie, sweetheart, babe, honey or sweet cheeks? all of them are good to me."
you crinkled your nose in embarrassment, hitting his arm playfully. he laughed and held your tiny fist against his chest. you tried to take your hand back, but he held onto it tightly.
"excuse me, master gojo, miss (l/n)." a boy around the same age as satoru came into the banquet hall.
you glared at satoru to let go of your hand. he just continued to laugh, knowing you were embarrassed about the pda.
satoru gave the boy a head nod, "hey kaito, what's up?"
"sorry to interrupt, but grand master gojo is ready to see you and miss (l/n) in the sparring dojo."
satoru gave kaito a thumbs up, "cool, we'll be there in a sec."
you got up and started to clear the utensils and plates from breakfast. the housekeepers insisted that you leave it to them, but you continued to help by stacking up plates on the cart before leaving the banquet hall. satoru admired how helpful and thoughtful you were in that moment. you were the same way even at jujutsu high. the girl he was falling head over heels for never ceased to amaze him.
satoru grabbed your hand to lead you to the dojo, you looked at him and asked the question you were wondering for the past couple of minutes. "who was that? the guy that came to find us."
"that's kaito. he's my grandpa's assistant. he’s a good guy."
satoru cracked his knuckles, preparing himself for whatever was going to happen in the dojo.
at the sparring dojo
as you entered the dojo, you saw ojii standing in the center of room with a couple of other boys around satoru's age.
"looks like my cousins decided to show up today." satoru announced. he felt irritated knowing this. he started to stretch his arms and legs.
"why are you stretching?" you asked him curiously.
"we're gonna be sparring. anything goes in the gojo sparring dojo."
your jaw dropped, "wait. what do you mean—"
"hey satoru!" a cousin approached satoru, waving. he had greyish white hair and dark blue eyes, he looked just like satoru's grandfather.
"what's up, minato?" satoru greeted while glaring at his cousin.
"this your little girlfriend that i've been hearing about? ojii said you brought a friend home this time around." minato glanced over at you.
"minato, this is (y/n). she's from the (l/n) clan." satoru cleared his throat. "—and yes, she's my girlfriend."
this definitely wasn't the way satoru imagined he would be introducing you as his girlfriend. but in a room full of his cousins around his age, he felt the need to stake his claim on what was his.
you quickly glanced at satoru, baffled to be exact. did he really just introduce you as his girlfriend? you turned to his cousin and greeted him, "—hi, i'm (y/n). it's nice to meet you!"
"nice, a (l/n). what element do you have?" minato asked you abruptly. he really didn't care for the introductions.
you pooled a large sphere of water in your hand to show him. his cousin grinned at you.
"water? wow. you and satoru must've been destined to be together." he scoffed, turning back to satoru, "come on six eyes, let's go say hi to ojii."
satoru continued to glare at his cousin in annoyance. you noticed that he was gritting his teeth, his jaw tense. you grabbed his hand, trying comfort him. you walked with satoru to greet his grandfather.
"(y/n), satoru." ojii nodded, "did you sleep well last night?"
"yes, thank you!" you bowed, "the bed in the guest room was very comfortable."
"i'm glad satoru could keep you warm last night." his grandfather teased.
your jaw dropped as satoru, minato, and his other cousins stared laughing. you felt your cheeks turn beet red. this is exactly why you didn't want satoru to sleep in your room. first it was yaga-sensei, and now it was satoru’s own grandfather.
"it was either that or she slept in my room, gramps. and you know grams would never allow that." satoru shrugged, attempting to save you from embarrassment.
satoru's grandfather turned to you, studying your cursed energy. "(y/n), genkei mentioned that you hold the element of water. i'd love to see the extent of your powers. how is your domain expansion coming along?"
“i’ve almost perfected it.” you smiled at him.
"gramps, she's really strong." satoru explained, "she's the second fastest at laying out her domain."
"who's the first?" a cousin named ren asked.
satoru gave ren a peace sign, "i am, of course."
"well then, i'd love to see your skills." ojii reached out for your hand to help you up onto the platform he was standing on. satoru watched as you stood with his grandfather.
"do you think you can target all five of these boys with your cursed technique?" ojii asked, wondering what the limits of your cursed energy was. was your power similar to limitless with the never ending negative emotions that came with water?
you scanned the room, satoru, minato, ren, and two more cousins stood in front of you. you nodded, knowing you could probably land a hit on one of the boys.
ojii laughed in amusement, "you have free reign to do whatever you want to these punks, don't hold back."
you drew 16 ice shards. satoru scoffed as his cousins' eyes widened. satoru was very familiar with these ice shards as he probably got one thrown at him on the daily. his cousins took a defensive stance as your ice shards circled around you.
you threw all of the shards in different directions. as the five gojo boys were jumping and dodging, you casted multiple jets of water in different pressures, speeds, and sizes. you managed to land a hit on one of the gojo boys. you waved away your shards and water jets, running to the injured cousin's side.
"mako is fine." ojii stated, "don't worry."
"i'm so sorry!" you gulped, "are you okay?"
"yeah, i'm fine." mako winced as he sat up, "damn, satoru. your girlfriend sure packs a punch."
"tell me about it." satoru grinned while walking towards the both you, "(y/n), it's okay. mako's fine." he patted your shoulder to let you know it was okay. you felt horrible that mako got hurt because of you even though his grandfather said you had free reign. you and satoru helped mako up so that he could sit on the sidelines where the gojo clan's family doctor started to heal him with reversed cursed energy.
"genkei said that you can also use reversed cursed energy. is that true?" ojii asked as he saw you watching the gojo clan's doctor heal mako. he was as good as new again in just a matter of moments.
you turned back to his grandfather, "yes, i can heal people."
"can you heal satoru?”
“i healed him once, but he hasn't gotten hurt since, so i haven't been able to try it again."
"well, let's put that to the test." ojii said as he quickly shot out a small red beam, barely slicing satoru's arm enough for him to bleed, but not enough to cause any true pain to his precious grandson.
satoru winced as he grabbed his arm. blood trickling down his bicep and forearm, "what the hell, gramps? what was that for?"
"ojii really hit you with red?" minato's eyes widened, "that was a fast cast."
"he wants to see if (y/n) can heal me." satoru grunted. he walked towards you as you looked at him in shock. you couldn't believe his own grandfather hit him with a cursed technique so fast that satoru didn't even get a chance to dodge it or turn on his infinity.
you placed your hand on his arm, worried, "are you okay?"
satoru scoffed, "yeah, don't you worry your pretty little head. can you fix me up?"
"of course."
minato, mako, ren, and kyo came over to watch you heal satoru. your right hand hovered over the small cut on his arm. you focused your cursed energy as water started to surround the cut and heal his wound. his cousins were amazed to see someone outside of the family doctor heal another person, and so was his grandfather.
"does it feel better?"
"like it never happened." satoru gave you a thumbs up and a cheeky smile to go along with it. "well, gramps? what do you think?"
ojii nodded his head in approval, "impressive. i'd like to see your domain expansion now."
"wait, you want me to use my domain expansion on you?" you asked in disbelief.
"would you mind?"
you shook with uneasiness. ojii really trusted you that much to show him your domain expansion? you only ever sparred with touya and satoru when it came to your domain expansion...
"um... if you can try to stay in one place instead of swimming to the top or bottom of my domain, i'll active it for 10 seconds so you can see what it feels like."
"go ahead, (y/n). an old geezer like me can handle it." ojii laughed. satoru pushed you foward. he knew how powerful your domain was and he knew that his grandfather could handle it, he wasn't worried.
your hand signal for your domain was the buddhist hand gesture of the vitarka mudra. you connected the tip of your thumb and index fingers while keeping the other three fingers straight. you put your hand in front of you. "domain expansion: iridescent ocean." (a/n: sorry this detail wasn’t explained in love at first fight!)
a large sphere surrounded you and ojii as it started to fill with water. you could see ojii start to hold his breath as he was submerged underneath the water. he was using some type of reversed cursed technique to try to cancel out your sure hit from your domain. you saw the blinding lights at the top and felt the water pressure at the bottom, you wondered what it felt like to ojii. after ten seconds, you released your domain as water poured onto the floor of the dojo.
ojii was breathless as you, satoru, and his cousins ran towards him. "i'm fine," he waved you all off, "i wanted to see what (y/n) could do. i could barely move or breathe in that domain. i can see why water is quite dangerous and why there can only be one water user in a lifetime."
"hey! that's like satoru and his six eyes!" kyo said with a smile, putting his arm around satoru.
"your grandparents must be proud of you and the way you’ve honed in on your techniques, (y/n). i know i would be too if you were my granddaughter." ojii continued, "you must be tired using all of this cursed energy in one session. satoru, make sure she gets some rest before dinner."
satoru nodded, "understood, gramps."
"boys! clean up the dojo." his grandfather called out to the rest of his grandsons.
minato grumbled, "if bringing home a girlfriend means i don't have to clean the dojo, i'm doing that next time."
"i can hear you boy. i may be old, but i haven't lost my sense of hearing." ojii retorted.
everyone laughed as satoru and you waved and said your goodbyes until dinner. a wave of exhaustion hit you as you fell forward towards satoru.
"i got you," he caught your fall and swiped you off your feet, "you tired?"
"exhausted." you whispered. he held you in his arms, bringing you back to your room. you tried to stay awake, but fatigue overpowered you.
he placed you onto the bed as you were already fast asleep, draping a blanket over you. you must've been completely worn out just like the first day he met you. you used all your techniques, a reversed cursed technique, and a domain expansion that same day too. you were really something else…
he smiled at you before closing the door behind him. it was time for his meeting with the gojo clan elders.
in the conference room
"how are your studies going, child?" one of the elders asked.
"average." satoru bluntly admitted.
"and your jujutsu training?"
"fantastic." he said sarcastically, "i'm ranked first in close combat and cursed technique."
"although you are number one in cursed technique, you need to be able to harness the power of infinity. that must be activated at all times for your protection." another elder added.
"27/4 with infinity? that's crazy. i'll run out of cursed energy. and i get tired when i have it on for long periods of time!" satoru barked.
ojii interjected, "not necessarily, satoru. that's where limitless comes in. limitless and infinity work together, if you can make sure that you always use a reversed cursed technique in small amounts, you will not tire yourself out. that is why you got hit with red earlier. if you had infinity on at all times, that wouldn't have happened."
satoru folded his arms in frustration. his clan elders always asked so much of him. sometimes he wished he wasn't born with the six eyes. he was tired of being told what to do and how to do it.
a third clan elder joined in, "it will take time and practice to do so, make sure you work on that this semester."
"how is your training with activating red and hollow purple coming along?" the first clan elder from earlier asked.
satoru rolled his eyes and muttered, "i’m working on it."
"this is serious business, satoru." the elder lectured him, "there are only a few select members of the clan that even know of hollow purple. that is our secret weapon against the rival families and our enemies."
"i got it, i got it." satoru shrugged, "i'll work harder."
"the last thing we want to talk about it is the (l/n) girl." the last elder in the group went on to say.
satoru glared. what could they possibly want with you? "—and what about her?"
"keep her safe. the (l/n) clan and the gojo clan have a strong alliance. if anything happens to her, consider the allied ties severed."
"nothing is going to happen to her as long as i'm with her. i swear on my life." satoru said confidently, "is that all?"
the elders dismissed satoru as he stepped out of the room. he groaned, he hated having these meetings every semester. he felt like every aspect of his life was controlled. could he just chill and have fun while in high school? he walked back to your room as the elders continued their talk.
"satoru will protect her. i've seen the way he looks at her. he cares about her." ojii explained to the remaining elders.
"should we meet with the (l/n) elders and consider an arranged marriage for them then?"
ojii disagreed with anything that had to do with an arranged marriage. "no. we don't need to arrange a marriage for soulmates who were destined to find each other again in this lifetime." ojii laughed in hilarity, "another six eyes and a water cursed technique user from the (l/n) clan together after 400 years... what a sight to behold."
back to satoru's pov
as satoru walked back to your room, he dismissed what the elders had to say. they really wanted him to have infinity on 24/7? were they insane? he should be able to turn his infinity off around people he was comfortable with, right? should he really have it on at all times?
satoru knocked on your door before barging in. you opened your eyes groggily as he sat down at the foot of the bed.
"did i knock out?" you asked sheepishly.
"completely. you fell straight into my arms." satoru smiled softly at you. just the sight of you made all his problems fade away. "you feeling better?"
"yeah, just a little tired."
"ready to go back to jujutsu high tomorrow?"
"i like it here, satoru." you smiled back at him, "we should come back soon." according to satoru, he only came to see his family at the end of each semester. you hoped that you'd visit more often with him.
"didn't you want to visit your family soon?" satoru asked.
"yes, and you should officially come visit with me." you sat up in the bed. "your last visit didn't count."
satoru laughed boisterously at the memory. he missed you so much he teleported to your clan's estate without telling you. he lied to save face, "i had to make sure you were safe."
you laughed at his ridiculous statement, "safe in my own family's home?"
"it's probably time for me to formally introduce myself as your boyfriend to your brother, huh?"
"i guess you can call yourself my boyfriend... i'll allow it," you grinned at him, "—and you better hope that touya doesn't kick your ass."
satoru and you shared a laugh as he patted your head, brushing your messy bed hair down your neck and back. you grabbed his hand and placed it against your cheek as satoru leaned in for a kiss.
"ready for dinner?" he asked.
"god, yes. i'm starving."
the next morning: heading back to jujutsu high
"the both of you take care now." sobo said, "make sure to eat all your meals and train properly."
satoru hugged his grandmother and kissed her on the cheek, "thanks grams."
"(y/n), it was a pleasure having you as our guest. come back soon, we'd love to see you again." ojii said as he smiled at you.
"thank you so much for having me!" you bowed towards the both of them and gave them your million dollar smile that satoru loved so much.
"grams, gramps, (y/n) is my girlfriend.” satoru proudly stated, “so it only makes sense that she'll be coming back to visit.”
"girlfriend, huh?" you nudged satoru with your elbow as he put his arm around your shoulder.
ojii and sobo laughed. they already knew that you and satoru would love each other in this lifetime. they could sense it as soon as satoru walked through the door with you. everyone besides satoru and yourself could see that you two were meant for each other.
"i’m sure kanao and genkei would love to finally meet the gojo clan's child that stole their granddaughter's heart," sobo gushed, "(y/n), make sure satoru meets your grandparents soon. next time you're back, satoru's parents should be here for you to meet."
"i can't wait to meet them," you said excitedly, "satoru is coming home with me in a couple weeks to meet my brother and grandparents."
ojii turned to his grandson, "satoru, make sure you pay your respects when you meet genkei and kanao. and take care of (y/n)."
satoru put his arm around your shoulder, "of course, gramps! nothing's gonna happen to my girl!"
you rolled your eyes at your newly titled boyfriend as his grandparents laughed at the both of you. satoru and you said your farewells to the gojo clan. his grandparents, akemi, hitomi, and kaito saw you off before satoru teleported you both back to tokyo jujutsu high.
EXTRA:
"so what did you think?" satoru asked as you were applying moisturizer on your cheeks. you rubbed your face in circular motions, working the cream into your face.
"think of what?"
"—of my family."
you took a moment to think before answering, "everyone was so nice and welcoming. i was thinking it was going to be the exact opposite to be honest." you admitted.
you sat down on your bed, satoru sat up and scooted over to make room for you. he raised his eyebrow at you, "why would you think that?"
"hmmm, the gojo clan being the number one family in jujutsu society might be a reason."
satoru rolled his eyes, "god, my family isn't as horrible and stuck up as people make us out to be. we live a quiet life and mind our business."
satoru frowned as you tilted your head towards him. "what's on your mind?" you asked as you caressed his cheek with your hand.
"my cousins said some stuff that bugged me before we left." satoru mumbled and pouted his lips.
"oh no, satoru gojo bothered by his own family?" you sarcastically sang, "what could they have possibly said to upset you?"
"they kept talking about how hot you were." satoru complained, "as if my cousins are your type. they need to find their own girl and back off of mine."
satoru gojo was jealous. now that was something you didn't see every day.
you smirked, attempting to push satoru's buttons, "i don't know, satoru. minato was really nice to me before we left. should i ask for his number next time?"
satoru gasped, "you wouldn't."
your bright laugh filled your dorm room, satoru ears perked at the lovely sound, but still attempted to glare at you with his cerulean blue eyes.
you confessed, "you're right, babe. i wouldn't. you're the only one for me."
"oh really?" he countered, "give me a kiss to prove it then."
"fine," you muttered, "come here, you big baby."

Part IV
Charles Leclerc X Wolff!Reader
Genre: Toto Wolff's Daughter Au!
Warnings: swearing, mentions of cheating
Word Count: 3.5K+
Author's Note: AHHHHH I think I'm done. well idk, if you guys want more, I could probably write one more. However I don't think anything will top the scene after Charles DNF in the Netherlands. I could literally talk about that scene for hours on end. I need to know what you guys think of that scene, because it's probably some of my best work ever. I hope you guys enjoy though. A lot of time and dedication went into this fic. Also this is in no way a reflection of these people in real life. This is not based on real life events. Nothing in this story is fact. This is a work of fiction, purely for entertainment purposes.
Part I, Part II, Part III
------------------------------------
“I cannot believe you,” Susie says after she hears the front door slam shut from you walking out. She slightly shakes her head, as she looks to the gods, praying for strength. The strength to not kill Toto at this moment.
“Me? You can’t believe me? I cannot believe our daughter, does she even think about how the rushed marriage will look to the public?”
“Toto,” Susie sighs, “you’ve gone too far.” She doesn’t know how she can get him to understand that you’re not a little girl anymore. “She’s chosen Charles, and you have to accept that already.”
“But she could do so much better…”
“She doesn’t want better,” Susie raises her voice in disbelief. “Toto, she doesn’t want anyone else, she wants Charles. That’s it, that’s the end of the discussion.” Susie doesn’t know what more to say on the matter.
“He’s going to hurt her…”
“Toto, that is enough, just because you had an affair that ended your marriage, does not mean Charles is going to do the same! Why can’t you see that?” Susie doesn’t like that she brought up Toto’s affair but it must be said. “Pack your stuff, you’re leaving for the Netherlands first thing in the morning.”
“I don’t have to be there for a few more days…”
“Well, then fucking go to the factory Toto!” Susie can’t handle it anymore, as she stands from the table, “I don’t want to see you, until you apologize to our daughter. Hopefully before her wedding, so help me God.”
-
Charles had left, around the same time that you had earlier that night to attend a work dinner. He returned home after you and when he did, he found you on the bedroom floor surrounded by all the legal paperwork for the wedding. He could see your eyes were red from crying, and he knew that it wasn’t from happy tears. You were holding a white out pen and the paperwork to change your name stood out among the bunch.
“Ma cherie…”
“Hi,” you greet Charles with a weak tone, you couldn’t even look at him properly.
“What happened?” Charles moves the papers out of the way to take a seat next to, pulling your face to look at him. He can see more tears roll down your cheeks.
“Daddy asked if I was pregnant…”
Charles' brows are furrowed together at your statement, “Why would he think that?”
“Because…” you smile a sarcastic smile, “the only people who get married this fast are people who are knocked up.” You cry, and laugh at the same time as you recall the evening to Charles. You take a moment before you pull away from Charles, wiping away your tears. “I don’t want anything more to do with my father.” You grab the paper for the name change off the floor, and prepare the white out pen.
Charles places his hand on yours stopping you from continuing, “maybe you should wait.” Charles’ watches you carefully, he doesn’t want to say the wrong word, “just sleep on it for now.”
You look up at Charles, and you can see his worry for you. He doesn’t want you to make any decisions that you will regret later on. You stare back at the name you have written across the paper, Wolff-Leclerc.
-
The next morning you and Charles set out to drive to the Netherlands. The drive surprisingly doesn’t take as long as you anticipate, time travels fast with Charles. However when you do arrive at the hotel, you realize how much the drive took out of you. The two of you pass out, practically right away, and you don’t wake up until the next morning. By that time, you guys have to be at the paddock.
You make it a point to showcase that you and Charles are together. You arrive at the paddock with Charles, dressed in Ferrari red. Part of you does this to spite your father, the other part of you does this because you want Charles to know you pick him over everything else. While Charles is in the driver’s briefing with the FIA, you make a stop at the Mercedes motorhome.
The motorhome is mostly empty, the majority of the team being in the garage at this moment. However you knew your father would be in his office right now. He scheduled all his online meetings with the factory at this time, because the motorhome was quiet. When you make it to his door, you don’t hesitate to knock.
“Come in,” he says, right away. You walk in and hand him the letter in your hand. You don’t say a word to him, you’re trying to make this as clean cut as possible. He takes the letter from you, “what is this?” He asks as he begins to open it up.
“My resignation letter, effective immediately.”
“You’re resigning, what are you planning on doing with your life?”
“I’m going to let Charles take care of me,” you lied to your father. You tell him this, purely out of spite. He always raised you to be able to take care of yourself. His biggest thing was he never wanted you to rely on someone else. So you tell him this, just so he can suffer. You don’t stay to see his reaction, or hear anything more he has to say. You eventually go on to spend the rest of the weekend avoiding him.
-
You spend Sunday watching the race in the Ferrari garage. The beginning of the race was chaotic to say the least. You knew Charles was making his own calls, when the pit crew is yelling at each other, and no one seems to know what is going on. You see Fred look at you, like you have an idea of what’s going on. You’re too amazed that Fred can see this far back into the Ferrari garage, to even give a reaction to his stare.
As you continue to watch the race, you know Mercedes messed up the strategy. Especially when George had a good qualifying. Then you noticed that Charles couldn’t keep up with the Haas, and you concluded that there must be a problem with his car. When Ferrari does decide to retire him, you see him come out of his car. You can tell by the look on his face that he’s not happy in the slightest. He ignores you as he makes his weigh-in and goes straight to the media pen. You look at Andrea, and you see him shake his head.
You head to Charles' driver's room, knowing he would go straight there after the media pen. It doesn’t take much longer, as you hear Charles’ heavy footsteps. When he enters the room, he doesn’t say anything. He shuts the door, and takes a deep breath. Then he launches the water bottle he was holding across the room, the cap comes loose as it hits the wall, water splattering everywhere.
He takes another deep breath, before saying, “sorry.” Charles runs his hands over his face, he paces the room as he talks, “I know I fucked up the pit-stop, I didn’t give them enough time to grab the tires, before I came in.” He doesn’t look at you as he talks, “that was my fault, I know that, but for fuck’s sake, they left me out there to get overtaken by Hulkenburg in a fucking Haas.” Charles sighs, his shoulders drop, he doesn’t look like himself. He takes a heavy breath, now looking at you and he says, “I’m tired y/n.” Charles sits on the floor, instead of on the bench next to you. He sits by your feet, leaning against your legs, resting his head in your lap. He reaches up to hold your hand, and he repeats, “I’m tired.” His head feels heavy in your lap, you place your hand on his head, playing with the ends of his hair, while your other hand continues to hold his. He looks straight on at the wall.
“Just rest Charles,” you say, you’re not sure how you can comfort him at this moment. “You can rest now.”
“Can I really?” He asks, as he looks up at you. You can see how the season has weighed him down. You slowly nod your head at him, and he closes his eyes. You know that he doesn’t actually fall asleep, but the two of you stay like that for the rest of the race. You stay right there, in that same position, for Charles, for until he’s ready to move.
When the race ends, Charles finally moves, he changes out of his race suit. He heard Pierre got promoted to P3, and insisted on staying to see the podium. You see him put on a smile for his best friend. You watch them make plans to celebrate Pierre’s podium after Monza, during the weekend they have off. You watch Charles pretend he isn’t tired for his friend’s sake. And you feel your love for him grow. You love that he can be vulnerable with you, and you love that he will always be proud of those he loves accomplishments.
-
As soon as the Dutch grand prix was over, you and Charles hopped on a flight to Milan. The Italian grand prix was a home grand prix for Ferrari, so there were events all week long. Charles’ schedule was packed through and through. You don’t bother him with the wedding stuff, you allow him to focus on Ferrari this week.
Susie comes out to Monza, and she helps you plan for the wedding. Although it’s a small event, she insists on getting you a dress, maybe not your dream dress, but a nice dress nonetheless. Charles is at the Ferrari Ray-ban event, while you and Susie are going through Milan, looking at several dress shops.
You are in one particular shop, trying to pull a few dresses to try on, when you look at Susie and say, “thank you coming Mamma.”
Susie can see as tears line your eyes, she knows that you and your father being at a cross like this hurts you. “Of course sweetheart, I wouldn’t miss this for the world.”
“I wish Daddy felt the same,” you say somberly, “has he said anything to you after that night.”
Susie turns to look back at the dresses, “I-” She pauses for a second, “I haven’t seen your father since that night.”
“What do you mean, you haven’t seen daddy since that night?”
Susie sighs, “I told him that I didn’t want to see him until he apologized to you, so I haven’t see him.”
You can’t help but let out a cackle of a laugh. You slap your hand over your mouth, catching yourself, as Susie looks at you wide-eyed. “I’m sorry,” you say, as you begin to giggle some more, “I’m sorry, but that-” You can’t contain your laughter at this point. You know part of you is laughing to stop yourself from crying, but it feels so good to laugh. And oh do you laugh, “that is too funny, you kicked daddy out of the house?”
“Well,” Susie can’t help but to laugh at your reaction, “I had to sweetheart.” She looks at you fondly, pushing your hair behind your ear, and you stop laughing. “You didn’t deserve that from him,” she says seriously.
You feel a few tears fall, “thank you Mamma.”
Susie shakes her head, “now enough talk of your father, let’s focus on you sweetheart.” She smiles at you, and you nod your head. You try to push all thoughts of your father from your mind, focusing on the task at hand. You and Susie spend the rest of the day shopping.
-
Being in Italy does good for Charles, you can see it clearly on Saturday. He qualifies in P3, but it makes him happy. The fans make him happy. And even though he didn’t really rest, he isn’t tired. You watch him fondly from the Ferrari garage as he does the post qualifying interviews. After he wraps up on Saturday, the two of you are walking back to his car to head back to the hotel. You can feel the bounce in his step, how light he feels.
“I love you,” you say, as you look at Charles, as the two of you walk. He stops, and looks at you. His eyes full of love, as he displays a fond smile. You take all of him in at this moment. You can’t help yourself from falling deeper in love with him. You’ll never love someone like you love him.
“I love you too,” he says. To anyone else it’s the same ‘I love you’s you said to each other over and over again, but to you, it’s so much more.
-
It was another Sunday, another Grand Prix, and your second time watching from the Ferrari garage. Although there is nothing technically different from the Mercedes garage, it all felt different. Being at Mercedes it felt like a business, it felt like work. Mercedes was cold, it was calm, it was like a normal nine to five workplace. While being at Ferrari it feels like passion. You feel the desperation to be great like they once were. You understand why Charles remains so loyal. Being there, in the garage it makes you cheer for Ferrari. You see them trying, you feel their need to win, and you want them to be great. It only took two races, but you’re definitely a Ferrari fan.
As you watched the race, you felt yourself constantly holding your breath. Carlos was brilliant defending against Max, Checo and even Charles. He drove to the absolute limit and you were amazed that he held onto the lead for as long as he did. Charles drove the wheels off his car. Going for ridiculous moves, and pushing it to the absolute limit every chance he got. Although you must say, you felt like you were going to have a heart attack watching the last five laps. Yet, when you saw the smile on Charles’ face after the race, you think your almost heart attack was worth it.
Watching them race makes you miss it even more. Watching them push the car to the limit, to the extreme and hold it all together to bring it home, makes you itch to have that feeling under you. When Charles makes his way back into the garage, after all of his requirements, he doesn’t waste any time in finding you. He pulls and holds you close. You let him, sweaty and all. You can’t help but to just smile stupidly at him. Seeing him this happy, makes you happy.
“I know,” he smiles and drops his head bashfully, “I shouldn’t be this happy about P4, but I had fun.”
“I think you should be proud,” you say, making him look at you, “proud that you gave it your all, and you could give it your all.”
Charles doesn’t need to say another word, as he pulls you in for a kiss.
Toto was trying to meet Fred to discuss some things, when he sees yours and Charles' interaction within the Ferrari garage. He witnesses the private moment, away from the crowds, from the cameras, from everyone else. He sees you being deeply in love with Charles. Toto has been watching you all weekend long, and last weekend too. He knows now how much you love Charles. He sees it now. Toto can finally see what everyone else saw.
“Charles,” Fred calls from across the garage, as he beckons for Charles. You let him go, as he catches up with Fred. At this time you notice your father standing there watching you.
“Darling,” Toto calls out to you, as he steps closer.
“Hi,” you say.
Toto doesn’t know what to say, he doesn’t know how to make this better, how to fix this. He knows he messed this all up. He knows it’s his fault. He just doesn’t know where to start, when really there’s only one place to start. “I’m sorry.”
You’re taken aback by your father’s apology. You never expected him to actually apologize. You thought that eventually you’d feel guilty enough to make up with your father.
“I’m sorry, y/n.” Toto repeats again, “I should have never suggested you were pregnant and that’s why you guys were getting married. I know now that you really love this boy, and that he really loves you.”
You smile, as you feel a few tears line your eyes. This time you are certain they’re happy tears. “Thank you daddy,” you say, as you hug your father. And just like all the times when you were a little girl, your father has made all your problems go away.
“Now,” Toto starts off, and he pulls back from you, “may I please come to your wedding, if it is still this Tuesday?”
“I hope you do come,” you say genuinely.
Just outside of the Ferrari garage, Charles and Fred watch you and Toto. Fred shakes his head at your father for being so stubborn. While Charles just smiles fondly, because now he sees you genuinely happy.
-
After all the festivities, you remembered the news that you had to tell Charles. Charles had just walked out of the bathroom, freshly out of the shower. Towel in his hand drying his hair. He sits on the edge of the bed, while you come up behind him, wrapping your arms around him. Pressing your cheek against his shoulder blade.
“I have something to tell you,” you say softly to Charles.
“What is ma cherie?” Although you don’t see it, you can hear him smiling.
“I got a call from Zac Brown,” you say. Charles doesn’t need to hear more as he turns around to look at you excitedly. “Apparently, someone has been constantly raving about me to his drivers,” you say knowing exactly who has been raving about you to Lando and Oscar. “And his drivers keep telling him about it.” You laugh as you see how excited Charles is to hear your news. “Zac asked if I wouldn’t mind doing some simulator for Mclaren.”
“Oh this is great news,” Charles says as he pulls you into a kiss.
“I know it’s not really back to racing…”
“But it’s a start.”
“Yeah,” you smile, “It’s a start.”
“I’m so happy for you,” Charles says, as he kisses you again. You wrap your arms around his neck pulling him down. Charles falls against you, planting more kisses over your face.
“Thank you Charles.”
Charles pulls away to look at you, “no need to thank me, I love to brag about my fiancée.”
-
Today was finally the day. Although it wasn’t a big or traditional wedding, there were certain things that your parents and Charles’ mom insisted you guys do. Like how it was bad luck to see each other before the actual wedding. So you were getting ready in your hotel room, while Charles and his brothers all got ready in another room.
You tried to tell your parents that this wasn’t going to be a big event, that you would make it up to them and plan an actual wedding, however that all fell on deaf ears. They fussed and doted on you all morning before going to the courthouse. You look into the vanity mirror and behind you, you can see Susie and Toto. In between fussing over you, they make up. Your father apologizes and he makes amends. Your mamma forgives and she loves continually. The pieces of your family begin to slide back into place.
As you make your way to the courthouse, Toto insists on walking you in. You smile, allowing your father. You wrap your arm around his, in front of you is Susie and Jack walks in first. Just behind the door, there stands Charles. His brothers by his side, all dressed in matching casual suits. His mother stands just off to the side of them. You don’t know why but the sight has tears falling from your eyes, happy tears.
“Ma cherie,” Charles exclaims as he sees you crying. He comes up to you wiping away your tears with a smile, “no more crying already.”
You giggle, you know a lot of tears have been shed these past few weeks. “It’s happy tears, I promise.”
Charles smiles at you. At this moment, Toto unwraps your arm from his, and gives your hand to Charles. He takes your hand, and both you and him look at Toto. You know what this moment signifies, nothing more needs to be said.
One thing about courthouse weddings, they are very efficient. The officiant says what he needs to, you and Charles both say your ‘I do’s, kiss, and they announce you married. “I now present the two of you married, as Mr. and Mrs. Leclerc.” The officiant looks back down at his paper, “or I should say Mr. Leclerc and Mrs. Wolff-Leclerc.” Your family and Charles’ family cheers at the announcement.
-
While you and Charles took pictures down by the lake, your families watched on. During the picture of you with your parents, did Toto whisper to you, “thank you.”
“For what daddy?” you question, looking up at your father innocently.
“For being proud to be a Wolff.”
“I am your daughter,” you say, as you look back at the camera and smile.

💫Would you choose him over me?💫
✨Pairing: Yeosang x afab!reader ✨Prompt: Could I request a jealous Yeosang because his gf!reader spends a lot of time playing acnh with Seonghwa? Only if you want of course 😊 ✨Requested by 🐼 anon🫶🏻 ✨Word count: 2.1k ✨Genre: non idol au, angst, jealousy, Yeosang becomes a little insecure, partners au, fluff at the end ☀️Authors note: Hello💓 thank you so much for sending in a request! I tried really hard writing the jealousy part and angst part of this fic! Thank you for entrusting me with that and I hope you enjoyed this one shot!🫶🏻
Yeosang didn't know it was possible for him to feel jealousy. He thought that was something beyond him but recently he has realized that he's gotten jealous. Jealous over your relationship with his friend Seonghwa.
Wooyoung and San had been the ones to mention it to him that he sounded jealous every time he spoke about your relationship with Seonghwa. Claiming that he would act a bit different and pout when he mentioned you were hanging out together.
He had denied it at the moment but when he had gotten home to your shared apartment and heard the laughter from both you and Seonghwa, bonding over Animal Crossing New Horizon, he had felt a surge of what could only be jealousy bubbling in his chest over the fact that the two of you were sitting close to each other.
You looked incredibly happy chatting with his friend and a part of him wondered if you were as happy with him as you were with Hwa.
Shaking away those thoughts as he went and sat down behind you, bringing you into his lap so he could back hug you on the couch.
"Hi babe! Did you have fun with Woo and San today?" You questioned, turning around and giving him a little kiss on the cheek which resulted in a small smile from your boyfriend.
"Mhmm I did. Are the two of you having fun?" He asked as he gave a nod to Seonghwa as his way of saying hello, who nodded back with a bright smile of his own.
Would you find his smile prettier than his own Yeosang wondered.
"We have! We've been showing each other our islands and been fishing together!" Seonghwa said, holding up his switch so he could see Hwas character and yours standing together fishing.
He nodded and gave a forced smile towards his friend. He truly shouldn't be jealous or worried, he doesn't play the game the two of you are playing so why was he feeling something bubble in his chest seeing the two characters looking cute next to each other?
"Are you okay baby?" You ask, his behavior a bit different from what you were used to. He was usually all bright and smiley and loved to listen to whatever you had to tell him even if it meant he'd spend 4 hours listening to you talk about cat videos you had seen earlier in the day.
"It's nothing. I'm a bit tired from hanging out with Woo and San." He fake yawns and cuddles closer. "Don't mind me I'll just rest for a little while." He says whilst closing his eyes, leaning his head on your shoulder and holding you closer to him.
"Okay if you say so. You sure you don't wanna go to the bedroom and rest there?" You ask and he just waves you off.
What you don't know is that Yeosang doesn't want to leave. Because what if you end up liking Seonghwa more than him?
So he decided then and there that sitting here cuddling you from the back while the two of you play that dumb game of yours will be the perfect way of making sure you won't.
You and Seonghwa continued to play the game together, laughing and having fun until it was time for him to go home and for you and Yeosang to go to bed. After hugging your friend goodbye the two of you did your evening routines together in silence, enjoying each other's presence.
Yeosang was extra cuddly that night which surprised you.
"Oh wow do I have a little koala next to me?" You joke lightly, giving his cheek a little kiss causing his beautiful face to scrunch up cutely.
"I've missed you that's all." He pouts looking at you with his beautiful brown eyes before sneaking in a little kiss from you causing a smile to blossom on your face.
A smile Yeosang adored so much.
"Well I'm not going anywhere don't worry." You tell him snuggling closer before falling asleep in his arms. Your boyfriend ends up hugging you throughout the entire night.
The next few days had been hell for Yeosang.
You and Seonghwa continued to spend time together bonding over the game he had no relations to. You had gone to a popup store together, gone to the lego store together and even went to an animal crossing cafe together.
Usually he'd never care about these things but now he wanted to be the one doing all of these things with you.
Posting cute pictures online and having to hear about it when the day was over and he'd ask what you had done that day did nothing for his growing jealousy and the slight insecurities of that you might fall for Seonghwa and stop loving him.
Why couldn't he like Animal Crossing like you two did?
He tried not to let his thoughts get to him, but a part of him started to worry that you might end up choosing Seonghwa over him. Especially when you spent so much time together.
And sometimes he swore the two of you would be giggling over something and the moment he entered the room you'd quiet down. It made his thoughts run rampant some days and he hated it. He also hated how he wasn't sure how to bring it up to you.
He didn't want to sound like he was accusing you of something when in reality he was just scared of loosing you. The one person whom he loves so much it sometimes hurt. The one person who brings so much joy to his life.
And today the jealousy and fear was bubbling a little bit extra in his chest after seeing the pictures Hwa had posted earlier of the two of you on instagram.
"Hey baby I'm gonna go grocery shopping! Do you wanna come with me?" You ask as you put on a cardigan and Yeosang can't stop the scoff before it escapes him.
"Why don't you ask Seonghwa if he wants to go with you?" He asks which makes you stop what you're doing looking back in confusion before going to find him in the living room.
"What?"
"Yeah, why don't you go to Seonghwa instead?"
He feels petty right now and you look so confused at what he's saying. He starts feeling a bit bad, perhaps he should have spoken to you he thinks when he sees your face.
"Why would I go to him? I'd wanna go with you? You're my boyfriend are you not?" you ask trying to figure out why he's acting the way he is.
"Why wouldn't you wanna go with him? You've been with him an awful lot these days." You can see your boyfriend pout a little which causes you to walk up to him.
"Okay what is going on? Are you jealous over the fact that I've been hanging out with Seonghwa?" You ask and he looks away from you. Confirming what you had just asked to be true.
"So what if I have been jealous?? You guys have been hanging out all the time since bonding over that game. Going on what seems like dates and posting it all over instagram." He vents, clearly frustrated looking at you with glossy eyes.
"Why haven't you told me you feel like th-" You start but he cuts you off.
"And you guys seem to have so much fun playing together and I don't blame you Seonghwa is like amazing and perfect in every way shape and form. You giggle and talk to each other and when I enter the room you two quiet down as if you're hiding something from me." He says and your eyes widen.
You and Seonghwa had been hiding something from him, but not what Yeosang seems to be thinking. Seonghwa had been helping you to find a bracelet that would fit him, so you could gift it to your boyfriend on your anniversary. The two of you had done your best to hide that from him.
But apparently you two had not been doing a very good job.
"Yeosang."
"Would you choose him over me?" He asks, biting his lip fearing your answer and you look at him with eyes filled with sadness.
Not over the accusation but the fact that your boyfriend had not felt like he could come and talk about this with you when it had oh so clearly bothered him.
"Yeosang baby, I want you to listen carefully to what I have to say okay?" You say carefully taking his hands into yours, allowing him to refuse if he so would like.
He doesn't. His hand stays still in yours and you let your thumb carefully glide over his hand in a comforting gesture.
"I would never choose Seonghwa over you. It is not Seonghwa I love but Kang Yeosang. It is not Seonghwa I think about during the day but you. You are so perfect and amazing in my eyes Sangie. I admit I have spent a lot of time with Hwa but that is not because I love him the way I love you. It's because we share a common interest. I am sorry that I made you feel like I might have had feelings for him by spending so much time with him. It is you that I love. I love you. The reason we've been giggling and talking and quieting down when you enter the room is because he's been helping me pick out a present for you but I realize now how that would have looked from your point of view." You told him, not looking away from him once as you spoke to him sincerely.
"Oh..." Yeosang felt dumb now, of course you wouldn't choose someone else over him the way he had thought. It had been you who had asked him out all those months ago when you two first became a couple.
He felt the jealousy simmer away and the fear transforming into something akin towards shame. Shame he had doubted you, his girlfriend and your relationship.
"How long have you felt like this?" You ask squeezing his hand.
"Since that day I came home and clung to you on the couch after hanging out with Woo and San." He admitted and your heart broke a little.
"Oh Yeosangie, how I wish you would have come to me earlier to talk about this. But you know what, I want you to know that It's you I love and want to spend time with. You're so perfect in my eyes and I wish you could see how much I think about how lucky I am to have you as my boyfriend. How about to make up for the lost time we spend the entire week together, just you and me, doing whatever you want to do." You tell him, hoping he'd find that idea good.
He nods before bringing you in for a hug.
"I'm sorry I ever doubted you. I just got scared. You seemed to have so much fun with him." He admits blinking away the tears of shame threatening to fall from his gorgeous brown eyes.
"While I have been having fun with him you should know I have even more fun when I am with you. You can ask Seonghwa himself, I've talked his ear off about you and how much I adore you." You tell him, kissing his cheek.
"Wait really?" He looks almost baffled that you would have talked about him to others causing you to chuckle.
"Yeah, you're my amazing boyfriend, of course I'd want to tell others about you." You say with a wink.
Yeosang groans feeling how he's been so ridiculous being jealous over something that he could have resolved quickly and not have it get to the point where he thought you'd leave him for Seonghwa.
"God I feel like such an idiot right now." He groans and you chuckle
"Well then you're my idiot. My idiot whom I love and gonna spend time cuddle with and tell him all the ways I love him." you tell him.
"Cuddling would be nice."
He admits as you drags him to the couch to cuddle, already planning on giving him the amount of kisses he deserves while chasing away all the insecurities and doubts he might still have left.
The groceries you wanted to buy forgotten for now but that’s okay because you got something much more important to do which included chatting your boyfriends ear off about all the things you adore about him.
Starting with:
”I’d choose you in every universe my love.”

Some Harry/Draco Fic Recs
There is so much great fic in this fandom, I'm struggling to keep track of everything I read and like. I already mentioned some of my early favorites here, but I have since found several more.
In no particular order:
Hermione Granger's Hogwarts Crammer for Delinquents on the Run by waspabi
In which Harry did not go to Hogwarts, but is instead found by a group of seventh year students led by Hermione, and recruited for the war at the ripe age of 17.
I'm not usually a fan of AUs, but this charmed me within the first few paragraphs with irresistible characterization. Harry is a little different than how I imagine him, but the premise allows for it. And the Harry/Draco romance is possibly the sweetest, softest I've seen so far. 10/10 would read again.
In Pieces by dysonrules
Harry returns to Hogwarts as the new DADA instructor, only to find his teaching efforts thwarted by a very familiar ghost.
When I got this rec myself, I wasn't sure I would like it, because, well, the summary spells it out, doesn't it? But I ended up loving it. It's incredibly sweet and tender and sad and hot. I couldn't put it down.
An Emerald In The Sky by corvuscrowned
The hardest part about shagging an Unspeakable is that they’re not allowed to speak of anything. All Draco knows is that Harry works in Time. Harry works in Time, and while he’s out there in all of that time, it is as unforgiving to him as it is to anyone. Somewhere along the way, Draco realizes he's been thinking in lines, when he should have been thinking in circles.
This story moved me like few others. It's a masterpiece of 'show, don't tell' in that elusive way I have never been able to tap in my own writing. It speaks in images, and the images capture incredibly specific, perfectly chosen details that paint years and decades of slowly fading hope. Just the thing for one who considers their own aging and mortality increasingly often.
Take You Home by lq_traintracks (lumosed_quill)
Everybody’s a little fucked up after the war, Draco especially. What starts as hate sex after a night out, eventually turns into something else, something more like comfort. And even though his friends all tell Harry he’s just being used, all Harry’s doing is making sure Draco gets home in one piece. He’s not falling helplessly in love.
From the author of one of my early favorites (Right Hand Red), a hugely enjoyable read that makes love to a post-war Draco (and his long hair in a man-bun that he fastens with his wand). I gulped this down in one sitting.
Hey, Potter by SunseticMonster
Harry returns to Hogwarts for his 8th year, determined not to let Malfoy get to him. But when the snarky teasing starts up again, Harry finds that returning the jibes with compliments has a far more interesting outcome.
I am in love with this premise. It works so well? While I wished for a bit more shipping and a bit less collateral, I still enjoyed this story immensely and went on to read almost everything the author wrote for the pairing.
An Issue of Consequence by Faith Wood
Draco has woken up in an alternate universe. Or he has woken up utterly insane. Nothing else can possibly explain why Harry Potter suddenly seems to think he's Draco's boyfriend.
The light-hearted summary belies the gravity of the plot of yet another favorite tale from the pen of my favorite author. The POV immersion is so deep that I absolutely did not see the resolution of the mystery until it was revealed, and then I was just as shocked as Draco. Fabulous stuff.
A Doll's Tale by Faith Wood
Harry/Draco, as observed by Draco's childhood doll. Please note, this doll is very self-absorbed.
This... broke me a little, lol. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing (too) heavy, angsty or dark about this story. It's as innocent as they get? But it just clicked so well with the idea I've been brewing in my own (yet to be published) writings, of Draco as this... sensitive boy hiding under the guise of confidence and cruelty. And the plot-twist, Merlin. Was it obvious? Maybe, but not to me! It struck me like a (fluffy toy) train and days later, I'm still recovering. I want to take this fic and hug it when I go to sleep.
Actually, I'm in a bit of a pickle, as my instinct is to list pretty much every single thing written by Faith Wood that I've read so far. But that would be silly, so I'll list only one more, as a treat.
Beholden by Faith Wood
Draco Malfoy might not be a killer, but it turns out he's an effective painkiller. If stopping pain was all Draco's touch did, things might not be so complicated, but either way Harry can't afford to be choosy.
I already mentioned this one in that inaugural post I linked at the very top, but: 1) it's now completed and can be safely binged on; and 2) the only thing I said about it back then is that it deals with chronic pain, which was particularly relevant at the time because I was at the peak of sciatica and could relate to poor Harry all too well. But that's just one of the many merits of this incredible story. Now that I'm feeling better, I'd praise it first and foremost for the patient exploration of the characters' inner worlds and the gradual, methodical and inexorable buildup of their feelings and convictions that eventually leads to falling in love. A masterpiece of slow burn. I plan not only to read this again, but to study it in the hopes of improving my own craft.
Tagging the authors I found on here: @dysonrules @faith2wood @corvuscrowned @lqtraintracks and also my friend @kuraiummei who helped me find some of these gems.
Thank you for enriching my life. ❤️

Jax x Ragatha: The snake and the water spring
The Amazing Digital Circus AU: Oasis.
Author's note: I found this show by chance and I took a great liking to it! So now I did a thing, instead of studying for upcoming exams, because I love making things difficult for myself, apparently.
I have no idea what the fandom is like, but I'm playing it safe just to be... well... safe. I just loved the concept of this show so much that I couldn't help but be inspired by it! It got me thinking and I let it all out in this... thing.
I want to write more one-shot fics about the other characters and how they fit into this au too, but I don't know when I'll be able to.
WARNING! None of these characters are mine and everything mentioned and described is purely made-up fiction; inspired by works that are not my own. Nothing should be considered canon or taken seriously - we are all here to have some harmless fun! No age restrictions. I think this might be appropriate for all ages...?
Please show some love and support for Gooseworx; the creator of The Amazing Digital Circus!
I definitely butchered Gooseworx's characters by adding unnecessary 'relationship dynamics' and deviating from their original personalities. I promise that the actual show and characters are so much better than they are in my false portrayal of them.
SUMMARY:
A fanmade take on the events following Pomni's arrival and after the crew had dinner together. This is focused on Jax's point of view, but still written in the third person.
Jax confronts Ragatha after the pilot episode's 'dinner' and does his best to comfort her in a way that works for them. That's it.
Please enjoy!
THE SNAKE AND THE WATER SPRING
Jax was a desert snake.
Nothing but a cold-blooded pest that lived to find his next meal.
When one is left to die under the scorching sun, you can’t stomp on the sun for creating a desert, but you could stomp on the desert snake if it added to the pain of surviving in said desert. The Digital Realm was nothing but a desert sun – a cage with no exit and an evil with no target.
It was no secret why so many had lost their minds here.
Jax took on the role of being the snake. It was never announced or planned, but it was deemed necessary by all who came to know the realm. The inhabitants of The Amazing Digital Circus craved any sense of control; something they could hold accountable for their torment – something they could punish. A menace, parasite.
Evil with a target: Jax.
It was fun to act out while everybody went about their lives. He could unapologetically be the worst being known to man and thrive on the rage and hatred of all he had affected. If they hated him, he was fulfilling his role perfectly… and that meant they could stay sane and do their parts as he did his. Less people would be lost to insanity… and the group would grow stronger.
Everyone had a role in their system – an oasis was established, with Ragatha as the heart of the oasis; their very own water spring.
But when a new invading creature bursts into the oasis with no knowledge of this system, their system would be doomed. Pomni happened to be that invader. Everyone could collectively, yet silently agree that she was acting by her own careless devices since she arrived a few hours ago. She greedily soaked up their water source and left it barren, dry, and suffering.
Granted, Pomni didn’t know how their oasis worked, but it didn’t change the fact that she disrupted everything by showing up. She would have to catch on quickly and prove herself useful, before anyone else loses their minds.
They lost one of their own already… and they almost lost their beloved Ragatha; Jax’s equal and opposite.
Their precious water source.
Snakes offered venom, while water springs offered hope of life. They all desperately needed Ragatha to survive. While most would assume her to be fine after being fixed by Caine, Jax knew better than that. He saw her reluctantly stand aside Pomni to support her – beautifully acting within her role as she always would, but it was clear that Pomni still didn’t understand how scarce the water was by then. Rags was spread thin enough by handling the extra stress and enduring the continuous pain of being corrupted by the abstraction, but that didn’t stop Pomni from practically having a mental breakdown at the dinner table.
Jax saw that coming from a mile away. Thank goodness he silently took the open seat next to Pomni, silent in his insistence that the ragdoll should keep her distance for the time being. He’d give anything to destroy the little jester for abusing his doll. Ragatha was acting perfectly normal at the time – her masked smile perfectly set on her face – until it was time for them all to retire to their respective bedrooms.
Jax wished that he would’ve just dragged her after him when he booked it from the abstraction earlier today. Pomni would have been the perfect distraction for them to escape and get Caine.
He stood at Ragatha’s door after dinner.
Jax made a point to ring the doorbell this time. Usually, he’d just pluck out a key and saunter in like he owns the place, but with what happened today, he’d make an exception. Everyone has their limit – and someone has already reached their limit today. They couldn’t risk losing another one. Especially not Raggs. They all really needed her.
When she didn’t open, he tried the bell again. Nothing.
Well, time for the key, then.
He shoved his hand down his front pocket and fished out the doll’s room key. The bunny didn’t waste time opening the door. He wanted to see what state the girl was in, despite dreading the possibility of finding an abstracted amalgamation on the other side.
Silence.
Not even a creak was heard from the hallway. The room was lit up as it usually was, so that was a good sign, at least. Jax couldn’t see an obvious black body of eyes – another win. But where was Ragatha? He did see her walk into her room, so she had to be here.
He walked around, keeping his cool, casual composure fixed, despite no one being around. It was effortless at this point. It became a way for him to focus on what he could control in this crazy digital prison; himself.
He couldn’t, however, control his ability to spot a blasted ragdoll, it would seem. He scanned the room again, until his eyes fell on her ¾ bed. Could she-?
The bunny rolled his eyes at himself as he lowered himself onto his knees – maybe he could convince himself that he was not phased by the situation. Bending down, he peered beneath the bed frame.
Jax sighed in exasperation. Or was it relief? Both?
Ragatha was in the state she was in before retiring to her room. No gliching, no extra eyes.
Just Raggs.
She didn’t look good, though. The doll was curled up beneath her bed and blindly staring ahead of her. It didn’t look like she was breathing – not that they needed to anyway, but it was uncanny to see Rags like this. She was their voice of reason. She was a water spring in this desert.
If she dried up, their desert would be doomed.
Jax silently stood up and walked back to the open door again. No need to make a fuss over this. He took hold of the door handle and shut it from the inside. Key in hand, he locked the door and nodded to himself. Ragatha needed a raincloud… and he’d have to fill that role now. It’s the least he could do after leaving her to fend for herself when they found the abstraction today.
Why didn’t she run with him? Why did think she could fix someone whose mind was broken beyond repair? Why didn’t she just leave the rookie as bait?
Because that just wasn’t her role, was it?
If it weren’t for her nature – her role – none of them would have made it this far. It dawned on Jax, once again, how close they were to losing their beloved doll. How close they were to being stuck with an invader who knew nothing about what it took to survive in this hell hole.
Enough.
Back to the bed, crouched down and silent Jax positioned himself to lay down and simply look over the red head from a relative distance. There was enough space for the doll to crawl out of hiding without having to touch him. The bunny still hadn’t said a word. It’d be stupid to talk, and he didn’t feel like making the effort. He just wanted things back to normal again – well… as normal as it could have been.
Now Kaufmo is gone, a new creature was invading their home, tearing it up from the roots and tipping the delicate scales of the balance they worked very hard on creating. All because of a lunatic ringmaster having the bright idea of creating a fake exit-door. Someone better get that jester on a tight leash to get her to fall in line, like the rest of them were forced to.
He knew he, for one, wouldn’t mind roughing her up a bit. It was his specialty – his role. The parasite. The menace. The instigator.
Evil with an actual target.
The sound of shifting and movement had Jax blink out of his own head. Ragatha was slowly and dumbly making her way out from under her bed. Her eyes were still fogged over and her face still eerily blank, but at least she came out of hiding out of her own will. In a matter of seconds, the doll was out from her hiding place and settled on the floor beside Jax. She was staring him in the eyes now, waiting for the bunny, silently pleading.
Jax hadn’t had his aloof-douchebag persona engaged since he locked Ragatha’s door. She didn’t need a menace now – she needed to be grounded; revitalized. She needed a dark raincloud to fill up the water spring they all needed.
He didn’t look forward to what needed to be done, but he wouldn’t allow anyone else to do it.
He moved to stand up and held out a hand to help her up. He took note of the way her hand was shaking when she took his and gently guided her to the bed. The red head was the first to sit, then moved to lay down on her back and numbly stare at the ceiling. With a deep breath, Jax gathered himself mentally and cautiously crept onto the bed and positioned himself to briefly hover over her, before lowering his full weight onto Ragatha.
He had his head in the crook of her neck, on the left shoulder with his ears folding back to floppily droop to his upper back… with his left hand resting on the opposite shoulder. His body, although slim, enveloped hers and caused her to sink slightly into the mattress. His legs just loosely laid over and aside the ragdoll’s. It was more important to have his weight resting on her torso anyway.
For a long moment, they just motionlessly laid on the bed like this. To an outsider, it would look like they fell asleep atop each other or simply cuddled together very closely.
An outsider wouldn’t see that Jax was focused on the slow process of Ragatha’s body relaxing under his weight and her breathing slowing to a regular rhythm. An outsider wouldn’t have known that this was hardly the first time they’d done this – how long it took Jax to learn that this make-shift deep-pressure therapy was the most effective grounding technique for Ragatha to collect herself again.
They wouldn’t understand that Jax didn’t do this out of wanting to, but rather out of necessity.
Jax didn’t like to be touched. If anything, he was very capable of merely tolerating it. Everyone in the circus knew that he was touch-averse; some even used that as leverage to mess with him if the situation called for it. It was a necessity that he endured to keep his doll sane – to keep anyone of importance here in the circus, sane. Their whole lives revolved around mental strength. It was all just a matter of staying sane.
The laid there for what felt like a lifetime.
Slight shifting beside Jax alerted him that the doll was moving her arms – previously stiffly pinned to her sides. This was good, she felt comfortable enough to move around now!
Her left hand gently snaked up to the bunny’s head and slowly, softly petted his ears in a longitude motion. Her right hand wrapped loosely around his middle-to-lower back – motionless. This was bad, Jax did not like being touched like that!
While he was fine with the rhythmic touches of Ragatha’s left hand, he despised the idle position of the right hand resting on his back. He couldn’t prevent himself from tensing up in discomfort.
Bad touch, bad touch, bad-
This caused the ragdoll to tense up and rip her hands off him as if he burned her.
Oh no you don’t! We are not starting all over again.
He slowly pulls away and propped up unto his elbows, hearing Ragatha’s breathing pick up as she presumably spirals into her own thoughts on how he was going to leave her like this. Jax cast down a disapproving look. He broke his gaze to unceremoniously take her right hand – now clutched close to her chest – and intertwined their fingers, before resting his head on her left shoulder once again. He close eyes as he use his free hand to put her left hand on his head again, waiting for her to resume her petting.
Good touch; this was a good touch. Please understand.
Thankfully, Ragatha relaxed… and continued her previous slow, rhythmic motions. Slowly, Jax felt her relax once again and he indulged into her need for touch by stroking his thumb over hers occasionally.
Soon they fell into a rhythm; Ragatha would pet Jax’s ears 3 times, then it was his turn to stroke his thumb over hers. Then they would repeat the routine. This also helped Jax cope with the touching; the routine. The rhythm.
It felt like hours ticked by as the two just practiced their little unspoken routine. Jax grew used to it after a while, almost forgetting that his new mattress was now a sentient ragdoll and completely tuned into their rhythm of touches.
Pet… pet… pet… thumb. Pet… pet… pet… thumb.
Jax didn’t like touch, but he loved routine.
The doll and the bunny’s time together, once nothing but grounding techniques, grew to become an intimate exchange of touches and caresses – all wrapped in a routine, like a dance. Jax felt warm and fuzzy inside; for once he basked in the moment of enjoying his dolly. He lazily wondered if Ragatha felt the same. He shifted his head to look at her.
The doll looked down to meet his eyes when she felt him move. He could swear that she looked at peace, basking in the bliss of their closeness. For some reason, she looked like an angel. They all saw her as their angel. Had he successfully pinned a heavenly body beneath him?
Her gentle, longing gaze made a kaleidoscope of butterflies erupt from his core.
This wasn’t the first time this feeling invaded his being when they did this – as rare as these moments were. He wasn’t sure when he started experiencing such feelings during these rare encounters, but as months crawled by, he felt drawn to his dolly more and more. Based on how she looked at him, he could only assume that she felt it too.
Something so foreign, yet so familiar.
He didn’t fail to spot the warmth rushing to her cheeks when their eyes met. She looked so ethereal beneath him, especially when her breathing picked up under his firm gaze. Her lips were parted, and her eyes were lidded. This time, it wasn’t fear or overstimulation. It was anticipation. It was desire.
Jax internally flinched at the tingly sensation when he smoothly burrowed his face into Ragatha’s neck. She shivered at the breath he let out against her skin. He could tolerate the touching a little longer, as long as he could see her crumble again. He wanted to see her walls crumble again.
“Jax- ”
Oh… he had to hear her again. More clearly, next time. This was torture, but she made him into her own personal masochist. His skin crawled at the sensation of her skin shivering against him, but he needed more. He could take it. Just a little longer – he just had to stand these sensations a little longer. He looked at her again.
Ragatha was reverting to a helpless puddle. The doll’s arms were gripping at the covers beneath her, successfully eliminating the bother of excessive contact that he despised. Jax didn’t know if she did it with that intension or without thinking, but either way, he was thankful. He really wanted more.
Why couldn’t he just be normal?
He lifted onto his elbows again and – dare one say – lovingly looked at her face. She could only peek back at him, breathing slightly faster than usual. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw her shaky hand rise from the covers and hover next to his cheek, while her eyes pleaded for his mercy. He hesitated but bit the bullet to comply; leaning into her touch while desperately trying to ignore the odd tingles. Jax convinced himself to kiss her wrist and drowned himself in the pleasure of hearing her softly call his name.
He only heard it because he was listening so closely for it.
Yes.
DING DONG
In a flash, Jax braced himself up into a crouch and slammed his foot down with a mighty THUMP upon hearing Ragatha startle into a fit when the doorbell chimed. His hair on his back stood on end and his claws ripped through his gloves, leaving gouges in the covers beside the doll’s head.
His precious doll was disturbed again!
He heard her soft cry of fear and his blood boiled with a thirst for vengeance. Only he can make her cry out. He’ll skin the soul that dared to-
“Ragatha…? Can we talk?”
That DAMN jester!
“Jax?” a quiet voice trembled in his ear from beneath him. Jax stopped glaring at the door to softly glance down and see what his little doll wanted.
“Don’t…” Raggs sounded like she was begging while being held at gunpoint, whispering despite their rooms being enchanted to not hear anything from the outside when the door is shut.
Jax wouldn’t dare let that thing inside. Raggs was upset enough as it is.
“Look, I know it probably wouldn’t make a difference…” Pomni’s voice came from the other side door again, “…but I’m so sorry for running off… Again… I saw that exit and I had to see if it was real. No one else believed me and I started to think that I was losing my mind. You understand that, right?”
Jax placed both his hands down on the mattress, blocking the doll’s view of the door as if it could block the sound of the voice from reaching the Raggs’s ears, still hovering over her. He knew that his dolly didn’t want to hear anything the harlequin had to say now – he had half the mind to get up and bash the newbie’s head in.
“I hope we can talk about this some time. You are probably tired after such a long, crazy day.” Pomni’s voice died down near the end, “It feels like you’re the only good person here.”
She really is, but she’s too good for you. Selfish leech.
Jax looks down to the girl, still stiff as a board beneath him. Her eye was shiny with the swell of tears. He melted at the sight – anger simmering down. She was just a sweet little rag dolly, she didn’t deserve any of this, but oh, he was so happy to see Ragatha finally emote something again. She was OK again. Their water source was filled once again, now threatening to spill over. He’d happily welcome the flood.
He needed her.
The sound of fading footsteps causes Jax to rip his eyes to the direction of the door. His hearing was better than the dolls, probably thanks to being a rabbit.
Good riddance.
Ragatha seemed to relax at the sight of Jax deflating his stance, reading that Pomni probably left her door. She hesitantly reached up to cup Jax’s cheek. Jax followed her hand’s motion and scoffed, cringing at the invasion. He’s had enough touching for a week. It sucked to leave his doll so soon after being distressed again, but he couldn’t bring himself stand any more of this. He quickly got up and smoothed out his clothes, but not without missing the flash of hurt in the doll’s eyes. He felt bad, but he had to be strong with the new girl around, so straining himself now would only make matters worse and mess up the whole system.
Still, seemingly bored, Jax stood in his spot while rocking on his heels and looking off to the side, only sparing her a glance. Raggs sat up by then. She looked a little worse for wear, but it’s an improvement from hiding under her bed. She rested her elbows on her knees with her chin in her hands. The hurt in her eyes was long gone, but she looked tired. Poor thing, Jax shared the sentiment.
He felt her eye bore into the side of his face and the bunny couldn’t stop himself before he rolled his eyes and looked to her again. He could’ve choked on air when he saw her face, but the years of steeling his demeanor left no trace of his inner turmoil.
Raggs sported that longing look in her eyes again.
They were so close this time – closer than they’ve ever been before. Each time they spent together on nights like this, although few and far between, they grew closer… and hungrier. Neither understood what it was, but they never had the chance to just collapse into it, tonight being the closest to that.
But there was always something, right?
Jax allowed gaze to soften. His doll offered a small smile that almost ripped his heart out if his chest. It was drenched with melancholy of something she knew they could never have.
Because their roles in their little ecosystem didn’t allow for it to ever be theirs. It would never work.
This was survival.
The rabbit steeled his demeanor once again, but this time, his doll’s face didn’t fall.
Good, as it should be.
Jax walked to the door and fished out the key from his front pocket. He didn’t bother looking back. If he did, he wouldn’t have the will to leave anymore. When he opened the door, though, he couldn’t help but mumble out teasingly.
“See yah later, Doll~!”
He wished that he could shout his affections for her out into the void instead.
“I’m not your doll.” Ragatha responded, voice still wobbly and tired, but perky regardless. She knew just how to indulge him.
Yes, she is… she always will be.

Talk Me Through It- Miguel x F!Reader
Someone (me) has discovered nsfw audios and has not recovered. I've also been into the nerd!Miguel fics that have been going around, but I won't bully him much in mine lol. I'm trying to get some nsfw practice in before I continue my multi-fic, so
cw: nsfw, mdni, fem reader, college au, author knows some Spanish, acquaintances to lovers, voice kink, praise kink, dirty talk, munch Miguel
Who was this? ...WHO! Ain't no way...he sound like that? Shit...
You barely stopped yourself from dropping your head on the desk as another student finished presenting their speech. You had mixed feelings about your Public Speaking class considering your major, but there were worse subjects to take. You already presented yours and were only staying to review other students' for extra credit.
You tapped your pencil absentmindedly as the next student stood to speak. You sat up a little better in your seat seeing who it was.
Miguel O'Hara grabbed people's attention whether he meant to or not. He took up space with his height, broad shoulders, and overall built physique. People were very shocked to learn that he was not an athlete his freshman year, and it probably haunted the football coach every season. You only knew him from hearsay and the occasional interaction when he was at the library during your work-study. You noticed him. It was impossible not to, so you were a bit intrigued to say the least.
The man stood at the front of the class and stumbled to get his laptop connected to the projector. Before beginning, he took out a pair of thin-framed glasses and cleared his throat.
"The work-life balance is something that many experts agree contributes to one's personal health. Yet there are many careers that demand inconsistent hours and strenuous work in order for progress to be made. How-," the man paused when he glanced from the screen to the array of faces looking back at him. He blanked for a moment, and you weren't sure if it was nerves or stress. After a moment, an awkward fake cough seemed to break his daze. He went on.
The presentation was actually pretty informative in your opinion, and Miguel did get his points across. You were surprised by the nervous emotions and little habits he displayed. He seemed to try to find a face to latch onto for eye-contact, and more than once did it feel like he was looking at you. You weren't quite sure, but it didn't matter really. He looked a tinge embarrassed when he finished and grabbed his things, but you hope it didn't bother him too much. People freeze, stutter, mispronounce things all the time.
After class you went to grab some lunch with your friends before the afternoon classes began. Your school was very diverse, and it excited you when you could hear different languages spoken at different tables. It was the main reason why you were taking a Spanish class as an elective. The world was connected in many ways, and many people around the world could speak two or even three languages. You glanced through your Spanish notes for a moment as you remembered that there was a project being assigned today. You were nervous, but your friends told you you were worrying for no reason.
...
"It's seem we'll be working together." That smooth voice grabbed your attention as people were packing up to go. You turned and looked up to see Miguel leaning on a desk near you. "I promise this project is going to go a lot better than that speech I gave earlier."
Oh so he did notice you. You smiled and shook your head. "Oh don't worry about that. Your speech was fine." you insisted. "Besides, why are you taking this class any way?" you were sure you had seen him giving parent tours for prospective international students.
Miguel chuckled as he shrugged his shoulders. "Easy A." You figured, but you also couldn't blame him. "How do you feel about presenting in Spanish though?"
You tilted your hand a little. "Eh I'm kinda okay with it. I'm much better reading it than speaking, but I can hold a conversation."
Miguel seemed to light up hearing that. "Verdad? De donde eres?" (Really? Where are you from?)
You didn't expect him to switch so soon, but you continued with the conversation. "Aqui, pero estudie espanol para cuatro anos y muchos gentes a la mi trabajo hablar." You knew what you said wasn't perfect, but Miguel nodded his head along as you spoke. (Here, but I studied Spanish for four years, and many people at my job speak)
"Bueno, pero tu sonas muy nerviosa. Por que?" You thought you were in your head, but somehow it felt as if he was expressing himself more in this language. You couldn't help but blush from the change. (Good, but you sound nervous. Why?)
You chuckled. "I am nervous. I like to say things correctly, and it's hard when I know I'm wrong."
Miguel shook his head. "Me gusta como tu sonas." he grinned. "Well, I'll text you my schedule, and we can find a time for us to meet up."
"Sweet! I look forward to working with you." you beamed.
The man softened a little. "Same."
~~~
You slumped in bed scrolling through your phone trying to find something to occupy the night. There were a couple of shows you could watch, comics to read, or just endless scrolling. You were looking through some fandom content when one of your mutuals sent you a message.
N3rdT@amer: Girl! I just found this. You got to check it out!
There was a link attached, and it brought you to someone's post where an video teased an audio release. You weren't sure why they sent you this but decided to give it a go. You popped in your headphones as recommended and took a deep breath.
You could hear what sounded to be background noise of people chatting and jazz music. The sounds of steam and glass clinking set up the scene in a coffee shop. Foot-steps got louder then a voice spoke loud and clear.
"Hi, can I get a cold brew with a little hazelnut. Large please." a pause..."on the house? What did I do to deserve such kindness?" There was a tonal change that followed--a little flustered and shy. "Oh, you see me scrabbling with my schoolwork over there? Hehe, that's very kind of you. I want to give you something in return." A pause.
The smooth and confident attitude returned. "No, I insist. You off soon? Perfect."
The pause seemed to indicate a scene change, and you gasped when your ears were filled with the sound of lips smacking and heavy pants that you could almost feel on your skin.
"Mierda," the panting continued, "keep playing in my hair like that I'm gonna keep you up all night." a hearty chuckle followed by a loud slick sound had your thighs clenching, "would you like that, chiquita? Then how about-,"
The audio cut off there, and you wanted to chuck your phone at the wall. What the fuck? What the fuck was that! You let out an irritated breath before clicking on the profile. You choked on a cough.
You were no newbie to the realms of internet personalities or seeing people's personal interests. You had mutuals who posted fanfics and also sold sex content. There were people at your school who would be seen as uppity that enjoyed streaming RPG walkthroughs. It wasn't that surprising but...
Fucking Miguel O'Hara? Fuck.
It was an account where he teased his audio works as well as promoted others. You couldn't believe it. That gorgeous man could be a model, and he was also using his voice to make some cash? Honestly, good for him, but now you were left with a little problem that wasn't going away as you scrolled to see what other works he had. You bit your nail a little when you saw you could buy an promotional audio for $1. You groaned internally...Fuck it.
~~~
You were burning up and tried to figure out how you got in so deep.
It had been a few weeks since your...discovery, and you were screaming mentally on the inside. You didn't think a voice could get you so hot and bothered, but you found yourself going down that rabbit hole with a few late-night purchases to your totally unaware partner. It was funny in a sense because you remembered how nervous and kinda awkward Miguel sounded in your Public Speaking class. You noticed it a little when you guys met for your project when he had to speak to cashiers or other classmates he didn't really know well.
It was cute, to be honest. You could tell he was a little self-conscious about it, but it was hard for you to believe Miguel didn't know about his effect on people. Even now, he took you out to celebrate the spectacular presentation you two gave at a local coffee shop. He must have stuttered or something since he was scratching the back of his head, but the barista just beamed at him and batted her eyelashes. You couldn't blame her really.
It was just such a night-and-day situation. That man was so confident sounding in his works and in Spanish, but when there was the occasional slip-up he blushed.
Your drink was placed in front of you, and you looked up with a smile. "Gracias."
Miguel smiled softly at you. "Claro," he took a seat in front of you and stretched. "I'm glad we did well."
"Same," you took a sip of your drink, "but it's not like you weren't going to." you added nonchalantly.
Miguel quirked an eyebrow. "Hmm, why you say that?"
"You know your stuff, and you can speak well." you answered easily.
Miguel brought his drink to his lips, and your eyes glanced at it. I think that's the drink he ordered in that teaser. Your eyes shot up at the thought. Stop. Stop! Don't do that. You've been doing good, self. Not when we're in front of him! "Everything okay?"
"Huh!" you perked up and then giggled awkwardly. "Yeah, yeah."
The man continued. "Well, I try my best. I just don't want to look dumb in front of people."
You kissed your teeth with a shake of the head. "You definitely don't look dumb, trust me."
Miguel looked at your curiously. "Then what do people think of me?"
You tried to stop your brain from glitching. There was no way this man didn't know how attractive he was--at least not completely. "Well uh," you grabbed your phone as a diversion, "let me show you this video! There's this girl who went to Puerto Rico and-," you tapped quickly on your phone while disconnecting your headphones, but wasn't really paying attention as you moved frantically.
"Ah coño, you feeling good, mi corazon?" A deep moan followed. "Do you like that? Let me give you some more. "
You froze. He froze. You made a short squeal as you slammed your phone down, wanting to run out immediately. You thought you closed that tab. Why didn't you close that tab? Fuck, he totally heard that!
Miguel was slow to speak. "What was that?" you blinked and made a dismissive sound. Miguel lowered his voice a little bit. "What was that, mami?"
You know your panic was displayed on your face, but you continued to play dumb. "I have no idea what you're talking about...anyway, so here's that vid-,"
Miguel's chuckle cut you off. It was different than his normal one. It was deeper, meaner--the one he used professionally. "Ah, it's not good to lie, bebita." he leaned in closer so only you could hear him. "You like my voice? It turns you on?" he growled lowly.
You refused to look at him. You turned to the side and played with your straw. "Mi-Miguel, we're in public." A mumble. You felt your face warm up significantly; you changed your posture a little and unconsciously rubbed your thighs together.
His low snicker went down your body. "So? I bet you were listening to that earlier. Was it while you were at the library? Supposed to be working, but you wanna hear me call you a good girl and think about how wet my fingers would sound inside you?" You bit your lip then released a shaky breath. "Mirame, chiquita," he watched you turn a little and meet his gaze. He grinned. "Que bueno" he looked you up and down and licked his lips. "Wanna hear something else?" you nodded a little. "Words," (Look at me, little girl./How nice)
"Yes, Miguel."
"Good girl."
~~~
You fidgeted nervously as you sat up straight on Miguel's bed and tried to avoid eye-contact. He was looking down at you completely smug after not saying a word to you on the way over. You were lost in your thoughts, but now, you could only hear the thumping of your heart in your chest.
"Tell me pretty girl," you nearly jumped finally hearing him, "did you get off to my voice?" you opened your mouth to speak, "Mirame."
Slowly, you did, and the sight was wicked. Miguel looked as cocky as you imagined him to. The angle of him looking down at you while you sat made the situation all the more intense and seductive. His eyes devoured you and told you that he was completely in control of the situation--enjoying it.
"I did."
He made a non-committal grunt--glancing around his room in thought. "I want to see."
Your body lit up. "What!"
Miguel chuckled. "Why not? You want me to give you instructions?"
You squeaked. "No! That's not the point...it's just embarrassing."
"Aww, but you did it all those nights at home." he leaned by your ear, "Imagining it was me making all those wet pussy sounds with my mouth. I bet you were hoping I'd find out." he watched as you squirmed from the sheer proximity and how he spoke. His voice dropped lower. "I bet you're wet now." he huffed.
"Miguel," you whined. You were asking for something, but even you weren't sure what exactly.
"What, baby?" he grinned.
You grumbled for a moment before yanking his collar towards you and smacking your lips together. You kissed him to shut him up, but maybe that wasn't a good idea either. Miguel met yours enthusiasm and groaned at the feeling of spark finally igniting. He leaned further in, and you found yourself on your back wrapping your arms around your neck.
He caged you in with his thighs before moving away to tease up and down your neck. He bit and sucked all over--memorizing what and where made you make a certain sound. "Ah there you go. You can make as much noise as you want for me." his words vibrated throughout you. You reached up and rubbed your fingers through his hair and along his scalp. He groaned. "Mmm, someone was listening." he moved up just below your ear and took a teasing nibble from your lobe. ''Which one did you like the most?"
It took you a second to realize what he was talking about, but you didn't want him to pull back. You were already this far; no point in shying about now. "The- the brat tamer one...with the neighbor."
Miguel seemed to approve your answer. "Naughty girl," his hands found your hips and slid a little under your shirt, "you need someone to put you in your place? Good thing I caught you being a slut." you whimpered at the name. "You were just gonna let this be your dirty little secret, huh? Playing with yourself after we did our homework--remembering how we chatted so innocently."
You gripped tightly on his shoulders as his hands ran further up while his teeth bit near your collar. "I should blindfold you right now. You don't need to look at me to finish."
"No! No, please. I want more. I wanna see and touch you, please." you took a leg and wrapped it by his knee--trying to bring him closer.
"Greedy and naughty. Tsk, what should I do with you?" Miguel leaned back before taking the hem of his shirt and lifting it away. Your eyes widened at the display of muscles and beautiful brown skin. You licked your lips. "Was this what you were imagining, chiquita?"
Your hand shyly reached out to touch his abs. "This is so much better." you nearly whispered. Miguel chuckled at your compliment. He backed away slowly; then you yelped as your ankle was pulled moving you to the edge of the bed.
You were bright-eyed as you saw Miguel kneel on the floor easily pulling your pants down. You moaned when he started kissing up one leg after throwing it over his shoulder. He massaged the other and wasn't shy to lick up and down--planting kisses and bites.
You gripped the sheets and started panting and wiggling. "That's alright, hermosa. I wanna hear everything from you. Haré música con este coño." He paused once he was closer and took a look at your panties. "All this just from some simple words." It was almost condescending yet admirable how he said it. "You flatter me." (I'll make music with this pussy)
You shrieked as he mouthed you through the cloth. This man was a tease. You shouldn't be surprised, but you were going to get him to cooperate as much as your foggy mind could do.
"Mmm papi chulo, give it to me good. Plesse baby," you begged, and it seemed that Miguel had a weakness for words too. He wasted no time dragging your soaked panties down and toss them behind. He grinned meanly hearing a faint plop sound on the floor. So wet.
Your hand quickly found the back of his head once his tongue made contact on your clit. You didn't think he'd go for it so quickly, but it seemed he was bent on getting you to cum hard and fast. He lapped up your cunt and made it slicker with his drool. He easily lifted you up a little to bring you closer, and you found yourself losing it when he teased by your hole.
He didn't let up--groaning when you gasped after he gave you a finger. He pumped slowly yet consistently and moved his mouth around to give everywhere all of his attention. Soon, your ears could only focus on the sounds that were coming out of your own mouth and the approval from Miguel below. He took a breather to play with your clit and was in daze hearing how it wet and slippery you sounded. You were all pants, moans, and whimpers. He smirked up at you--face shiny and wet.
"You sound so pretty, hermosa. You gonna soak my sheets by the time I'm done with you." you clenched around his fingers. "Mmm, I know baby; you want it badly." he started fingering you faster. "I wouldn't even need my dick to get this pussy squirting." your moans went up a pitch as that knot suddenly got tighter. "Ooo, hermosa. Such a slutty pussy doesn't even need a dick to make her happy. I should've made you cum with my voice, yeah? Say all those filthy things about you being a brat and how you make daddy so mad." you sobbed at that.
"You should've just been a good girl and asked daddy to fuck this pretty cunt of yours." He sped up and you were pulling at the sheets as three fingers made you clench up--going harder and making you fill fuller. "Naughty girls keep secrets. Maybe I'll stop right now."
That got you talking. "No, no, daddy please. Daddy please. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I'm such a slut and didn't ask for your dick. Please I'll be so good baby. I'll be such a good girl." you babbled on.
Miguel's cock was begging to be free. You knew just what to say it seemed. "Mmm, that's what I want to hear. Come on reina, let me see you make a mess. You gonna cum on my fingers, for me?" Your eyes were rolling to the back of your head as you panted and struggled for air.. Wet sex sounds bounced off the walls, and you were going to be done soon. "Start cumming bebita. I'll fuck you so good after this. Yeah? Give it to me. Right there, mmhm. Fuck there you go." Miguel watched as your release started coating his fingers and dripped onto his wrist. He kept going a little til you started to twitch then slowly decreased to stop.
You were slumped on the bed trying to process what just happened while your body recovered from such an intense orgasm. "Fuck," you said to yourself. You groaned as your legs were gently rubbed, and you could barely glance down at the man.
He was all smiles and innocence despite how he met your gaze and cleaned his fingers. Gosh that mouth was going to be the death of you.
As if he reading your thoughts, he grinned before starting to move. "Let me show you what else my body can do."
~~~
Whew! Oh my gosh, I can't believe I wrote this. I'm actually happy with it. I like how Miguel's personality is and I hope my mediocre Spanish skills weren't a pain. I needed to get this idea out my head, and I'm so happy how this is. Maybe I should try writing audio scripts 🤔Thanks for reading~

beneath these boughs, my devotion blooms by @perexcri (T, 1/1, 11k) - drop whatever ur doing and read this fic RIGHT NOW. i'm not joking when i say it's one of the most transformative works of the 21st century. gorgeous, heart-wrenching prose & characterization. god!will & devotee!mike--except this fic turns that entire concept on its head. this fic killed me dead. you won't regret it.
Last true mouthpiece by @miwism (G, 1/1, 2k) - in which will and hawkins are one and the same. this fic opened up my eyes to a take on will-has-powers that i had never before considered but i have not stopped thinking about since i read it. i need more of eldritch will byers in this fandom & everybody should read this fic
don't leave me here alone by @strangeswift (NR, 1/1, 3.4k) - ok this one is EVIL. this one is GOOD. essentially: mike tries to convince will to run away with him to keep will safe from vecna, but will might not be the one who needs protecting... i am a sucker for some s5-speculative angst and this fic DEFINITELY delivers!
all I know is pouring rain (and everything has changed) by @willelfanpage (T, 1/1, 3.2k) - a character study of will, particularly in relation to life moments he has in the rain. ugh, will byers my love will byers my light... this fic is so gorgeous and so beautifully done, i think everyone should check it out! i love the canon moments mixed in with non-canon ones.
take me to the lakes by @afterglowsssss (T, 1/1, 2.1k) - FANTASY BYLER EVERYONE CHEERED!!! prince will x knight mike is something that can legitimately be so personal, you guys. they have so much love and affection for one another that i'm literally throwing up (/pos). cleradin's been getting a lot of love lately and i am enjoying it but u guys need to hype this one UPPPP!!
come to me again (in the cold, cold night) by @perexcri (M, 3/3, 16k) - i've been on a vampire kick lately and this is the fic that started it for me. featuring: estranged byler, vampires, dystopia, angst, reunions, and CONSISTENTLY BANGER prose. would not expect any less from a perexcri fic. this one is a little creepy and dark and is absolutely gripping the entire way through.
there will come a poet (whose weapon is his word) by @fizzseed (T, 1/1, 3.2k) - fics that include mike as a writer are always some of my favs. and when he writes for WILL??? ahhhh my heart!! he's just so sweet and dedicated and this fic is just SUCH a gem. i think byler's relationship with each other when it comes to D&D (separate from cleradin AUs) is so interesting and i'm so glad this fic explored it!!
Every eye trained on a different star by @ohfallingdisco (G, 1/1, 2.9k) - ok so just thinking ab this fic as i'm typing this is literally making me tear up. in short: will comes out to bob. why don't we have more fics like this in this fandom??? will byers & bob newby my beloveds. r u kidding MEEEEEEE. like WHAT. all y'all take NOTES bc i want more of this shit

Don't Panic, I'm a Mechanic - Part 2: The Book
Pairing: Mechanic!Eddie x Shy!Plussize!Bookstore!Reader Warnings: modern AU, female reader, mention of masturbation, bit of smut mentioned, best friend Steve (for Y/N and Eddie), mutual pining, eddie &reader are 29/28 (let me know what I missed) Word Count: 1265 Author's note: here is Part 1, gonna make a masterpost at one point when I have more I guess. Summary: After knowing what book you were reading, Eddie bought a copy himself and man, did it leave him surprised and gasping because he did NOT expect you to read smut. of course, he has to talk to Steve about it, only to find out that you do not just read it...
See Jane Score. Of course, Eddie had remembered the name of the book and had gotten it the day after you all had hung out together. After he’d jumped into the water with you and had to get a bit of distance between your bodies so you hadn’t been able to realise that he’d gotten hard from being this close to you. Knowing just what book you were reading, seeing how shy you’d gotten about it, even flustered, yes, that had certainly made him even more curious.
That was why he hadn’t wasted any time in getting the book, had spent his free minutes at work reading it and he had to say that it was actually kind of interesting. He wasn’t the biggest hockey fan there was, but he knew the terms that were used in the book. He got so lost in the story, that at one point, one of his coworkers had to nudge his head to pull him back, because his break was over. And just when he was getting to the good part.
That night, Eddie lay on his sofa, some music on in the background while he reached for the book. But not just for the book, but for something else as well, because reading what was going on, he felt himself get so turned on. Not specifically because of what was being described in the book, but because he was imagining you and him in that scenario. He imagined his hand between your legs, nearly making you come. Imagined your lips on his stomach and on his dick. All that mixed with the memory of your body pressed flush against his made him come embarrassingly fast. No wonder you liked to read that kinda thing. It was just that he’d never expected you to read that. Not with how shy you always were. Still waters run deep, right? In your case, it really seemed to be true.
The next day, Eddie finished the rest of the book and went to see Steve. They had their weekly movie night, so Steve had already started Netflix and set the popcorn and beers on the table when Eddie arrived.
“Did you know she read that kind of stuff?” Eddie asked once the door opened, holding up the book, his eyebrows raised in question.
“Good evening to you, too, Eddie. Did you leave your manners at home again?” Steve tilted his head to the side, eyeing the book for a moment, before he stepped aside to let Eddie come inside.
“Sorry, sorry, but!” Eddie held up the book and shoved it in Steve’s face. “She's your best friend and you’re gonna tell me you had no idea that she’s reading porn? Try again, Harrington!”
Eddie walked past Steve, got rid of his shoes along the way, before he plopped down on the sofa.
“I have a general idea what she reads, but don’t read the same books, so I don’t exactly know what they are about.” Which was pretty much true. Only that he knew so much more than that, because you talked with him about certain books. And Steve was the one who always got to read the fics you wrote and published on Tumblr. Even the ones that were modelled after Eddie and Jesus Christ were they smutty! The book Eddie had handed to him was probably really tame compared to the stuff you came up with. But Eddie was right, nobody expected that from you. Not at all.
Steve took his seat on the sofa and handed the book back to Eddie.
“Oh well, then let me demonstrate.”
Eddie opened the book to one of the pages he’d dog-eared and leaned forward, his elbows resting on his thighs. He cleared his throat before he read out loud.
“She took as much of him as she could into her mouth and tested the weight of his testicles in her palm.” Eddie glanced at Steve, trying to gauge a reaction from him, but he quickly looked back at the book, skipped a few sentences.
“‘You're so tight around me’, he gasped. She sucked in a breath, his breath, as he pulled out almost completely, only to bury himself so deep she felt him against her cervix.” Eddie closed the book, eyes wide as he looked at Steve. “This is what our sweet innocent Y/N reads?”
“Oh, she’s not that innocent,” Steve said with a smirk, before he could think better of it. “I’ve read worse stuff from her.”
“You have what now?” That caught Eddie’s attention, and he suddenly sat up straight. Forgotten the popcorn, the book, the movies… when it was about you, he gobbled up every kind of information, but that one especially. What was Steve referring to?
“I mean-” Steve’s face was drained of colour when he suddenly realised just what he’d said. “Forget that. I didn’t mean any of that.”
“Oh yes you did, Stevie boy!” Eddie’s eyes sparkled. If he’d heard correctly, Steve had said that you were writing stuff like that yourself, and that… man, he had to get his hands on that. Especially if Steve had already read that!
“”Please, Eddie… Just forget it. I should have kept my mouth shut.”
“But you didn’t, and now I know.”
The triumphant grin on Eddie’s lips made Steve want to punch him. He’d promised you that it was a thing between you two, that he wouldn’t breathe a word. He was your biggest fan after all, and he didn’t want to betray your trust. But he also knew that Eddie wouldn’t get off his back.
“You’ve read what she wrote? I mean, I always knew that she was a creative one, but that? Jesus Christ…” Eddie shook his head in amazement, really needing to get his hands on that.
“Yeah, I did. She’s got quite a few people liking her stuff.”
“She even publishes it somewhere?” Eddie’s eyes nearly bulged out of his head at that, while Steve bit his tongue.
“You don’t know this from me, okay? If she ever finds out I said anything about this, she’ll kill me and then she’ll run as far away as she can!” Because as much as you enjoyed writing all that stuff, you would be absolutely mortified if Eddie ever found that stuff. You’d pack your bags and start a new life in Alaska or wherever he wouldn’t be able to find you.
“Fuck I need to read that!” Eddie groaned, rubbing his hands over his face, through his hair, before he lifted it to tie it up again.
Steve knew that Eddie was into you, he knew that from you as well, and that was what made it so frustrating, because he couldn’t tell one of you without betraying the other, so he just tried to nudge you both into the right direction, but neither of you believed that the other one was genuinely interested. That didn’t mean that he would expose you like this to Eddie.
“Good luck with that,” Steve simply said, reaching for the remote to get to a different topic and start the movie.
“Aw come on, you have to tell me!”
“Nope. I’ve already put my foot in my mouth, so that’s something you’ll have to find out yourself, Munson.” Which… might not be so hard, considering you were both Lord of the Rings fans. Even Eddie had heard you say One does not simply walk into a bookstore multiple times with the same expression as Boromir in the movie. If he put that together, he had your tumblr name.

please could i request a sky lakota-lynch fic! please just any type of fluff, maybe going on a date then ending up in bed cuddling? tysm🩷
Authors Note: Absolutely! I love sky so so muchh.
Date Night: Sky Lakota-Lynch x fem!reader
"y/n/n" - your nick name
It was Saturday, and Sky was home. Which was rare for a broadway actor but he had requested the day off work today to just rest. So, I decided to surprise him. With a date. We haven't gone on one in a while and with the musical finally getting the recognition it deserves, I thought it'd be nice to celebrate and also relax a little bit. Sky was currently sitting on the couch of our apartment. For the first time in a while, everything felt peaceful. Despite living in the bustling city of New York, it felt oddly calm. It's still warm outside, so I thought we could go take a walk in the park, maybe get coffee and whatever else we find. It's not the best date I came up with, but it works. I walked over to where Sky was sitting, and got ready to ask him. I was nervous, I don't know why.
"Hey Sky?"
"Hiiii y/n/n, what's up?"
"Well, I know you've been super busy with the show and everything and this is like your only day off for a while... I was wondering if you wanted to..go on a date? You don't have to say yes of course cause I know your so tired and everything and you-you work so hard so I can't blame you and I know being on broadway is really draining-"
I began to ramble, something that I did when I was nervous. I don't know why, but I kind of felt bad for asking Sky if he wanted to go out on his only day off. I continued rambling until Sky cut me off.
"y/n/n stop, take a breath." Sky said, standing up from the couch and walking over to me. I nodded my head, taking a deep breath just like he said.
"Yes, I'll go on a date with you." He replied with a soft smile, which caused a soft blush to rush to my cheeks.
"Okay, okay!" I replied, now excited and relieved that he said yes. We quickly got ready and made our way out the door, hand in hand like always.
After about 20 minutes of walking, we made it to our favorite coffee shop. Sky ordered for me like always as I stood behind like always. We sat down at a table and started talking.
"It's been forever since we went out." Sky said, a soft smile on his face as he reached his hand across the table and placed it on mine.
"I know, I miss doin' stuff like this with you. I miss you." I said, giving him the same smile in return as I squeezed his hand.
"I know, I miss you to. I'm sorry, I wish I could do more." Sky said, now feeling bad for not being able to take me out as much as he wanted to.
"Hey hey, stop. None of that. Its not your fault Sky, I know your a busy person. Your job is important, but it's also draining. So I wouldn't mind if you wanted to just rest." I replied, immediately stoping him from beating himself up over it. Sky gave me sad smile, and I leaned over to give him a kiss on his forehead.
"It's okay, you have nothing to be sorry for. Besides, I love watching you sing."
Soon enough, our orders were done and we left for the park. Once we got to the park, we sat on the bench and talked for what seemed like hours. We laughed, we smiled. We made each other feel loved. Once the sun began to set, we made our way home. Once we were home, I kicked off my shoes and took off my shoes, before laying down in our shared bed, feeling tired already. Maybe a nap would do. Sky followed suit and soon plopped on the bed next to me. He pressed himself against me and wrapped his arms around me, spooning me like he did almost every night. I felt his lips press soft, chaste kisses on my neck. I sighed in peace as I let his love and the warmth of his body take over me.
"I love you," Sky whispered, still kissing my neck.
"I love you more Sky." I replied, a soft smile creeping it's way onto my face.
"Not possible." He whispered back, causing a soft laugh to escape from my lips before we calmed down and soon enough fell asleep.
Authors Note: Yayyyy! My first fic ever!! Sorry if this isn't very good, I'm still getting used to writing but hopefully as I start to write more I'll get the hang of things. I hope you enjoy, sorry that it's short!

It's been a few weeks since I had new books to share, but I finally got photos taken of the newest ones so today's the day. Here, have a book:
This is Across Tides and Currents, a Good Omens siren AU by Sodium_Azide and @doorwaytoparadise (hi. I hope I tagged you right). My favorite thing about this AU is that, at its heart, it's about learning to communicate with someone who is so different from you that you can't even physically speak each other's language, and yet you've still got so much common ground that you find a way. It's way lighter and more fun than that description makes it sound, though, so go read it if that's your thing.
The cover on this is Lineco book cloth, scrapbook paper printed to look like leather, and blue foil htv. The foil was actually a nightmare to do. The first time I applied it, it wouldn't stick no matter what I did, and the bits that did stick peeled off as soon as I touched them. I had to peel them up very carefully, cut a new image, and try again. Thankfully it worked the second time but I don't know that I'll be using the foil type again unless there's no other way to get the color I want. The non-foil metallic was so much easier to work with.
More book photos under the cut!
I went with a coptic bind for this one for a few reasons. The first was that I wanted to try one on a quarto-size book to see if I could. I also wanted to try the mitered corners thing I did when I bound Strange Moons, and see if I could have the same effect on the interior. (That bit didn't work out so well; the front is fine but I mismeasured the inside and the lines didn't match up, so I trimmed some pieces of cardstock to cover that up. I really like the layered look though, so that's fine. It's quirky.) The third reason is that not long before I decided to bind this one, the authors published a new chapter after two years of no updates. That's the best possible reason to have to change plans, and the glueless bind means that if they ever do that again I can just redo the stitching to add more pages. Win-win.
Getting whimsical with title pages here. This took way longer than I thought it would, probably because I don't like graphic design and I did it in Word where I do the rest of my typesetting. Usually what I do is grab an image and put text around it or on top of it and then just play with fonts and sizes, but this time I drew the lines and then made the text follow them. This is the first time I've used the word art feature since...probably 2009? I'd forgotten how. I have no doubt there are better ways to do this but if I'd had to learn a new program at that point I'd have quit. And I do think it was worth it--it's cute and fun and looks about how I imagined it.
Couple of photos of the inside. Sorry the first one's blurry, I had someone trying to get my attention when I took these. The section break image came from rawpixel, I just made it gray instead of black so it's more subtle. The fic has very nice illustrations that I specifically got the artist's permission to print and then I failed to get any photos of them when I did my little photo shoot. They look very nice, though. I swear.
The last image is something I've started including in my latest books. I'm calling them "A Note from the Bookbinder" and it's basically just me talking about why I chose that story, the experience of reading it for the first time, stuff that's going on in the fandom, stuff about the process like the new chapter coming out as I was preparing to print. It's kind of...like marginalia? Part of fanbinding is preservation and that's linked to archival work, and something I know archivists love is marginalia and diaries. I don't like writing in my books and I've never found any fun in journaling, but sometimes that kind of context is important so I'm trying to add it. Someday, decades from now, I may not remember all the details, so I'm trying to preserve them. IDK, this got philosophical on me. Go read about mermaids now. Promise it's a good time.

I almost wrote a small essay in the tags of that "fanwork as content" post but realized that it would probably be better off as its own post. So now it's... a large, rambling essay. lmao
Like... to preface, AO3 is great, it's a great resource for fandom, it feels good to have a centralized location that works well. That said, there has been a steady decline in how I've felt treated as an author since we switched to an archive-only model of fic.
For people who are newer to fandom, pre-AO3 (and even in the early days of AO3), people often crossposted fic. Sometimes to websites, sometimes to journals (particularly LJ/DW), sometimes to communities, sometimes to kink memes...
AO3, while certainly one of the primary places you could upload stuff, wasn't necessarily where you would get most of your primary interaction about your fic. It was always designed to be an archive, not a social media site.
But since we moved to an archive model (and away from LJ/DW) I've noticed that fic gets almost no traction on sites that actually are intended for social interaction. I'm not saying it's easy for any creator in fandom, but god. The numbers on fic posts are just downright demoralizing.
I don't mean to sound arrogant here, but I think I'm a pretty good writer. People seem to really connect with my fic. In multiple fandoms, I've written fic that most people have read and enjoyed, to the point where people have just taken it for granted that if someone reads fic in the fandom, they've probably read something I've written.
All this is to say, I know I've written fics that people like. I know I've written fics that people connect with. And I know those posts still only get like 5 notes sometimes on Tumblr.
I'm proud of my work and I'm happy that it's gotten such a warm welcome on AO3!!! But there are times when I feel like all this means that I could write literally the best fic on earth and still no one would talk to me. People still wouldn't want to interact with me on social media sites.
I wrestled for... honestly, a long time with all this. I had a hard time putting into words why this felt so uh. Bad. Was I just self-conscious about my own writing? Yes, but that's a separate issue. Was I just jealous of others' popularity? Sort of, but it went deeper than that.
I had an issue with a fandom that I don't write in anymore. I got a lot of fanart based on my fic, which was great, which was amazing, there were even fan comics made. Visual media travels better on social media than fic. That's just a fact. And I had to watch as repeatedly, art based on the fic I wrote got thousands of notes while my fic got maybe 12. And I realized the power of social media vs. AO3 because it did get to audiences that weren't familiar with my fic and people started to give those artists credit for my ideas.
I remember watching the tags of those posts because it was occasionally the only way I'd hear feedback on what I'd written (imagine getting one comment and 5 notes on a fic, then seeing dozens of people in the tags of fanart saying that it was their favorite fic in the fandom! it was weird!) and seeing the tags gradually devolve into "oh, this is such a neat idea for an AU, artist OP" or "wow this dialogue is perfect [artist] I love it" and like
It's weird to feel so happy because so many people are enjoying your work in a transformative way but also so unhappy because you have been completely removed from the equation. No one... even knows you wrote those things anymore. You have been removed in favor of a more "marketable" version of your work.
It's uh. It's a bad feeling. I stopped writing in that fandom eventually.
So again, I felt like... idk, like there was no point in me even trying. Because I could write the best fic on earth and still somehow get erased as a person. People would want my "content," but they wouldn't want me.
I think that's what hurt my feelings so much.
What I've realized is this: what I miss is the sense of community. On LJ, you could post a fic, cross-post it to a community, and there would be comments that would become conversations that would become lasting friendships. Not always! But often. I still talk to some people daily who I met through fic on LJ over a decade ago.
In the archive model, there has almost become a death of the author. The me on social media and the me on AO3 are very different; more importantly, it's almost like it's viewed as the "me" is on social media, but the work is on AO3. I am absent. There is only the fic, not the person who created it.
And that's okay, but when you try to combine those two things on social media and it goes over like a lead balloon... idk. There's an odd sense of dehumanization. I don't mean it in like... I don't know, a dramatic human rights violation kind of way. More that I literally feel like less of a human person the way I interact with fandom these days. Like I'm no longer a person who writes fic as a way to connect with my fellow fans and more a "content creator" whose human side is separate from my creation and never the twain shall meet.
(And I'll admit it feels especially galling to be forced into the capitalistic "content creator" box when it's not even a thing I can make money off of, lmao. It's like the worst of both worlds. I feel like if I can't make money off fanfic, I should at least be exempt from capitalistic social trends during its creation.)
I'm not so much complaining about my current fandom; WWDITS has actually been one of the best fandoms for interaction I've been in since the birth of AO3. That's one of the reasons I keep writing stories for fellow fans to read -- many of those fans feel like my friends, and I want to make them happy.
I think that poster was right when they talked about how the pivot from fan to "content creator" has fucked up fandom. There is this sense that we should be treating fandom like a job, often a fast-paced one with no pay. There is this idea that we should be separated from our "content" like you might a worker from their product, and blah blah blah alienation of labor, Marx, I get it, but damn if that isn't a shitty thing to do to your fellow fans who are making art for the love of art.
There are so many things I do love about AO3. I like having a central, organized place to put my fic. I like not having to worry about my work being lost to the ages. I like having an organized comments section I can return to on bad days to cheer myself up.
But I don't like the way that fic has kind of been relegated to a portion of fandom where people aren't particularly social. I don't like the way that authors are separated from their writing. I hear people complain sometimes about A/Ns because god forbid an author leave any trace of their actual personality to distract you from their content.
I can't have DMs with someone on AO3. I can't add someone to my friends list. There are no "beloved mutuals." There is just my work and the people who are kind enough to comment on it, even if they never actually engage with me elsewhere.
It's... a weird feeling, to feel so loved and unloved at the same time. Like you keep writing trying to make something good enough that people will talk to you but like. That's really not how it works. lmao. The best fic in the world won't make you friends anymore. It won't make people see you as a fellow fan rather than a pen name under a title.
My fic is some of the most personal stuff in the entire world, but my personhood is stripped away from it. It's so fucking weird. People like my fic, but they don't like me. They remember my stories but not the person who told them. It's bizarre. It feels like having your life and experiences strip-mined for content, and then the rest of it is just... left behind.
Frankly... I work in the publishing industry IRL and I have had opportunities to write professionally. Real, tangible opportunities. But I turned them down because I've seen it, the way that trying to fit such an intensely personal art form into a capitalistic framework can be exhausting, dehumanizing, and stressful. I don't want that for my work. Fandom has always been an escape from that.
But now fandom is starting to conform to those exact same capitalistic frameworks (and ofc without any kind of capitalistic compensation) and I hate to see it. It's so stressful. I feel like we're losing a lot of what makes fandom fun for writers and we're getting pretty much nothing in return. I'm not surprised that so many writer friends I know in fandom have quit.
like damn, I just wanna have fun with a bunch of dumbshits who love to overanalyze vampires and cry over their dumbshit shenanigans, not take on a second job. one that, I reiterate, I am not being paid for.
(Note: I am not asking for payment, just that I not be treated like a worker. The tradeoff for treating someone like a worker is that they get compensated for it. If I'm not being compensated, no one gets to treat me like this is my fucking job.)
It's a weird thing, because for a lot of people, fandom has become their job. Fanartists at cons selling fanart, youtube essayists making money off videos, professional cosplayers with sponsorships, etc. And so fandom is becoming more corporate, more capitalistic, more marketable. It's frustrating for those who don't want to capitalize on our fannish output, and doubly frustrating for people who are legally unable to do so.
I'm realizing as I write this that I'm most upset about the nonconsensual capitalization of fandom, particularly when imposed on people who are unable to access the very meager benefits of capitalism. I didn't ask for any of this!
Feels like when I'd be forced to go to assemblies for the US military when I was in high school. Like I'm morally opposed to all this but I'm also not physically fit for "service" anyway, so it's doubly insulting. I feel like I've been opted into the, ah, corporatization of fandom when I'm not even eligible for employee benefits. None of this should even apply to me! ;;
Okay!! I'm all het up now so I'm gonna go eat lunch and go for a walk! No monetization of hobbies, only trees.

The cooking project - Crêpes
If yesterday's post was probably one of my most-made recipe cards, this might be my most-made recipe in my binder, which is sort of a Binder of Theseus. My sister made me a binder full of typed-out recipes as a gift when I was a sophomore in college, and I still have the section separators, which were collages of images cut from magazines, and I have some (most? all?) of those typed recipes, though the binder itself has been replaced. And of course I've added many more recipes, printed from the internet or sent to me by email or clipped from magazines. (I had a subscription to Sunset for a while in the late 00s!)
This recipe, though, was copied from a webpage into probably a Word document and then printed out, and dates from March 15 2003. The URL in the image no longer works, but the contents can be found in the Wayback Machine (ctrl+f, "crepes"). It was posted as part of the author's "French Week" as sort of an oblique protest of the impending Iraq War. In any case, I have been making it since then.
Because this can be found in the Wayback Machine, and because the instructions are hilariously long, I am not going to retype the whole thing here.
My only personal notations are combining "whole wheat flour" and "white flour" into a single line (I've literally never made these as savory crepes in 20 years), and a note that 1 egg approximately equals 3 crepes.
Making the batter
One of the things I love about this recipe is that it scales really well: one egg to 1/4 cup flour. The sugar ratio is weird and I usually have to do a rough approximation, because 1/4 cup sugar is 4 tablespoons, but also it's a very forgiving recipe that way.
I have learned over the years to beat the eggs first and THEN add the flour/sugar/salt, much less lumps that way. (ironically, 20 years and I just noticed he never says when to add the salt, altho clearly it's with the flour)
I have literally no idea how much milk I use. I mix in a bit at a time until it looks like the right texture/color. It's all vibes, baby.
I don't think I've ever let it sit two whole hours but it definitely does change texture a bit, for the better, if left to sit at least a half an hour. (I have also never drunk a glass of red wine while waiting for the batter.)
Below is: just after mixing in the flour/sugar/salt, then after some milk, all the milk, and after sitting for idk half an hour? 45 minutes?
Jam! Eating while making!
As I said, I've literally never made them savory, altho the last time I had them with a little bit of local whipped goat cheese and strawberry jam, and that was FUCKING TIGHT.
My usual is to take out whatever jams I have (today: strawberry and raspberry freezer jam that I made in 2020 and 2021 respectively, quince jam that a friend made, and marmalade) and just alternate flavors as I make them. I usually end up eating some while I'm making them. (As the guy says, bachelor mode™️.)
Two eggs' worth did in fact make about six crepes, I think, which is kind of a lot for dessert but I guess I had dessert for dinner, it's fine.
(Oh, and I think I've tried flipping them without a spatula exactly once, I am just not that bold.)
In any case, this continues to be one of my favorite recipes of all time, I will make it for anyone at any time for any reason. (The longest stretch I ever went without making it was after Ryn died, and I finally had eggs and milk and enough energy...and found BUGS IN MY FLOUR and about lost my damn mind. But I have made them a couple of times since then.)
Fanfiction bonus content!
So if you are reading my fic for the benefit of all the broken hearts, and you have already read chapter 16, then you know why I posted this today. If you are reading it and have not yet read the new chapter, consider this a teaser.
If you are not reading it: for the benefit of all the broken hearts is a fix-it fic for Water Flowing Underground, a very strange beautiful fic that blurs the line between Actor AU and RPF, that plays with questions of identity and choice and intention and also what we are even doing with fanfiction. My fic picks up from the end of that fic, from the point of view of a character who is dismissed by the narrative of the original, and who finds a way out of the wreckage. (it's the weirdest goddamn thing I've ever written, and yes, I think that includes the Bigfoot fic, and also I think my best writing ever. Certainly the most work I've ever put into any writing in any medium.)
And also there are crepes.
#food as play#one of my favorite ways to make this is to mix the batter and then walk to get a mocha#tbh it's perfectly fine to just mix the batter and make them#but they do benefit from waiting#YES IT'S A METAPHOR but they're also tasty#my writing#my fic

To Rest
Day 19 ~ finding old messages ~ (Alt. Prompt)
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Word Count: 2685 because I am apparently incapable of writing little fics for these men Content: major character death, Cody's death, death from old age, Rex's death is mentioned, saying goodbye, 'in case I die' message, dinluke is mentioned don't at me, This is in the same au (guess it's an au now lmao) as day 11's Awake Now; I wouldn't say it's necessary to read that first, but it wouldn't hurt :)
Mando'a Guide: (there's a lot for this one) vode - siblings (brothers in this context, used to refer to the clones as a whole) ner riduur - my spouse Kote - glory; what I believe Cody's name was before it was misheard or simplified to Cody, and what he goes by in hiding ner jare'la alor - my reckless leader osik - dung/shit mesh'la - beautiful ner cyar'ad - my lover Ni su'cuyi, gar kyr'adyc, ni partayli, gar darasuum - Mandalorian ritual, followed by the repetition of loved ones' names. "I’m still alive, but you are dead. I remember you, so you are eternal." ner tranyc al'verde - my sunny commander ner nepareyc jetii - my impatient jedi
A quick author's note: I do not ship Rexsoka - I see them as having a very sibling-like bond and that is what I briefly portray in this fic. I don't care if you do ship them, that's your business, but please do not claim that small portion of this fic for that ship. Much love and respect, 川💛
Ever since he’d met Cody, Obi-Wan knew their time would be limited.
He knew that one or both of them could easily die on the battlefield.
He knew that if they won the war, he’d go back to his council duties, and the Republic would do with Cody and his as it pleased.
He knew that if they lost, they’d both likely be executed.
Regardless, he knew that it was them. Every time he was near the man, it felt like the Force was crying out in pure joy. They could not truly be together, but they’d always promised each other that they would be. “After the war, Obi. After the war. I promise.”
But then the war did end. Neither faction seemed to win, but the Jedi Order–the closest thing Obi-Wan had to a family–lost, slain by the millions of soldiers who bore the same face, but such different, beautiful, unique, bright lights in the Force.
The vode betrayed the Jedi, but Obi-Wan knew now that it wasn’t their fault; the Sith had used their bodies like puppets, then discarded them once they were done playing with them.
Cody finding him on Tatooine had shaken him, violently. After all, if the Empire knew where he was, what was to stop them from finding Luke or Leia?
But Cody wasn’t here looking for him–or at least he didn’t know why he was here–but he found him all the same. And just like that, despite the time that had passed, it was them again. That magnetic pull never failed, and that sweet, whispered promise always held true.
Although Obi-Wan still felt the weight of grief on his shoulders, everything seemed less dismal with his husband. Ner riduur, as Cody always hummed in his ear.
Seeing Kote bring Obi-Wan–or Ben as he now went–out of the dark, lonely existence he’d subjected himself to, lightened Owen and Beru’s hearts, somewhat, as well. Ben and Kote were weekly dinner guests at the Lars homestead.
Kote would take odd jobs in Mos Taike, then he’d come home and continue his construction of their home.
They built a loving home within each other as well. Sure, they’d had their disagreements; they’d bicker, but ultimately, one would approach the other with tea and they’d simply talk like they always had.
It didn’t take long for time to catch up to them, however. The first clue was when Kote had slipped down the few stairs into their living room. He’d managed to catch himself on the wall, but his gait had never been quite the same since.
When Ben remarked on Kote’s waning agility, Kote snarked back “Next year we’re technically the same age, you know.”
His hearing went next. Ben had to raise his speaking volume more and more as the years passed. Kote would pretend he’d not been paying attention, or would simply agree when he didn’t hear everything Ben had said. After recording a holo of his louder and louder attempts to gain Kote’s attention, however, Ben was able to convince him to use a hearing aid.
Despite what it indicated, Ben couldn’t say Kote’s need for reading glasses truly bothered him. Kote would use it to his advantage, of course, putting them on even if he didn’t actually require them at the moment, just to see Ben squirm in his seat.
His hair eventually started to gray, although anytime Ben brought it up, Kote would just wave it off as it being “a delayed stress response from worrying about you, ner jare’la alor”.
The creases at the corners of his eyes and mouth deepened, his reaction times slowed, and he seemed to grow cold more easily, but the true sign was when he fell.
Kote had somehow–probably with the use of his reading glasses and that crooked smirk–convinced Ben that he would be fine to fight at Rex’s side on Endor. Ben cursed himself for agreeing to bring him to that battle.
“It’ll be just like old times, Obi,” he’d laughed. Ben smiled and snarked at him, pretending not to notice that Kote had again forgotten they’d been going by ‘Ben’ and ‘Kote’ since the end of the Clone Wars.
And then he’d been hurt. One lucky shot to his bad leg and he was down. He would use a repulsorlift chair for the rest of his life.
They were outside one night, Ben’s head resting on Kote’s knee, gazing up at the stars when Kote finally acknowledged what was happening to him.
“How are you feeling?” Ben asked.
“Sort of…odd,” Kote answered.
“‘Odd’ how?”
“Think that advanced aging osik is catchin’ up to me, Obi,” he hummed.
“You think so?” Ben had answered. There was no sarcasm, no negativity in it.
“You know it is, mesh’la,” he’d chuckled. “I see the way you look at me sometimes.”
“I don’t–”
“When I forget, or when I can’t hear you,” Kote had continued, paying no mind to Ben’s protests as he carded his fingers through graying auburn hair. “You get that same look in your eyes like I’m gonna crumble to dust the second you touch me.”
Ben looked up at him, his wonderful, charming riduur. “It’s not that,” he said, pointedly ignoring the way his eyes began to well up. “I just–” he sighed. “Would you believe that I’m scared to lose you?” His hand gripped the fabric of Kote’s pants. “After all this time and everything we’ve been through, I can’t imagine being alone anymore.”
Kote hummed. “I’d believe it, though I doubt you’d ever be alone,” he answered after a moment. “Do you know what today is?”
Ben lifted his head to look up at him. His confusion and slight concern must have been written plainly on his face. Or, perhaps, Kote could read Ben’s expressions like they were his own.
“Humor me,” he chuckled.
Ben frowned. “Zhellday.”
Kote laughed, the soft sound coiling around Ben’s heart like it always had. “Well, yes, I suppose it is, but there’s something I find special about today.” He smirked at his husband, who in return, narrowed his eyes suspiciously.
“33 years ago, Commander CC-2224–also known as ‘Cody’–of the Grand Army of the Republic was assigned to the 212th Attack Battalion, under the command of Jedi Master General Obi-Wan Kenobi,” Kote said, his voice taking on a certain commanding air to it that Ben hadn’t heard in quite some time.
“Kote,” he smiled.
“33 years ago today, I walked onto the bridge of the Negotiator, scared out of my wits–”
“Oh, you were not.”
“I was! The only Jedi I’d ever met before that was General Ti!”
Ben laughed, despite that old heartache that never seemed to fade. “Oh, well I suppose that’s understandable then. Shaak was kind, but terrifying in all the right ways.”
“Exactly,” Kote grinned. “When I got to the bridge, I thought there must’ve been some kind of mistake.”
“Did you now?” Ben raised a brow, curious to see where this was headed.
“Oh definitely. I thought they were sending me out with a Jedi Master, not a youngling.”
Ben chuckled. “Please, ner cyar’ad. Flattery won’t get you very far with the state of my knees these days.”
Kote groaned. “It was worth a shot,” he snickered.
Ben rolled his eyes. “What did you really think?”
Kote’s mischievous grin faded into the same confident, trusting smile that had bewitched Ben all those years ago. “I thought I was the luckiest son of a bantha in the whole army.”
Ben laughed as they went back inside to their bed. They lay in each other’s arms, talking, laughing, and smiling until they nodded off to sleep.
When Ben awoke, he found that Kote had not. Ben had seen plenty of death in his long life, but he’d never seen anyone still smiling after they’d passed.
He’d wept for quite some time, holding Kote’s cold hand in his, laying soft kisses on his forehead. He was certain that he’d sat there for far longer than he should have. He needed to make arrangements. He had people to inform.
But he’d never given himself the time to grieve before. It had always been a luxury he could never afford.
His voice shook as he remembered those words they’d always uttered together. “Ni su'cuyi, gar kyr'adyc, ni partayli, gar darasuum. Kote, ner tranyc al’verde.”
He sat almost perfectly still until somewhere around noon. He kissed his husband’s forehead one more time, before drawing their bedsheets over him once more.
His comm in hand, he struggled to find the strength to decide who to call first.
He looked back towards the bedroom where his riduur lay, and the realization washed over him. His husband was right; he’d never truly be alone.
The holo pinged a few times before a soft voice and smiling face came over the comm. “Master Obi-Wan,” Ahsoka hummed over the holo. “Are you okay?”
“I-I’m–” he mumbled. “It’s Ko– Cody.”
Realization stole over his old friend. “Oh, Obi-Wan,” she whispered. “I’m so sorry.”
“Do you–” he cleared his throat. “Do you still keep in contact with Rex? Is he…?”
“He passed on a couple days ago,” Ahsoka murmured. “At least they can walk with each other.”
Ben nodded. “How are you holding up? Were you there?”
“He called about a week ago,” Ahsoka nodded. “Said he felt odd. I got there and a few days later he passed in his sleep.”
“How strange,” he hummed. “Cody said something similar last night.”
“Clone thing, you think?” she said. Despite all her years, Ben could still hear that curious lilt in her voice, the one that he knew meant research and investigation.
“Who’s to say, dear one?” Ben smiled wearily as he watched her focus drift. “Ahsoka, do you keep frequent contact with Luke? I fear he will be devastated; Kote was always his favorite,” he sighed. “After ‘Auntie Soka’, of course,” he added.
“I just spoke with him yesterday. He was taking Din and Grogu to meet Owen and Beru,” she said.
“That should be quite interesting,” he mused. “I suppose I’ll tell him after he arrives then. I should contact Leia soon, though.”
“I’m certain she’ll be there in a heartbeat.”
Ben waved a hand in dismissal. “She’s quite busy now, I doubt she’ll have any time for me.”
Ahsoka gave him a look of disbelief. “Sure, Master. But are you–” she hesitated, biting her lip.
Ben eyed her holoimage, one brow raised.
“Are you going to tell him?” she finally asked.
Ben’s brow furrowed. “You know he doesn’t want to hear from me.”
“Master,” she said, her eyes glancing off to the side. “Maybe he needs you more than you think. Maybe you need each other.”
Ben was overcome with the feeling that she wasn’t only speaking to him. He decided against saying anything about it though. “I’m sure he has my comm number restricted. Perhaps you can relay the news as a favor to your old grandmaster?”
She chuckled but rolled her eyes. “I will, Master Obi-Wan. Please take care of yourself. Let me know if there is anything you need.”
“Thank you, Ahsoka,” he said, bowing his head. “Just hearing your voice helps.”
“May the Force be with you, Master.”
“You as well.”
Ben stared at the projector for a long moment before pressing in another number.
“Uncle Ben!” Leia smiled. “How have you been?”
He opened his mouth to answer but found the words caught in his throat.
Leia’s face fell. “When?”
Ben swallowed. “At some point last night. I woke up and…he was gone.”
“Okay,” Leia nodded. “Okay. I will be there–”
“Leia–”
“–in two days–no, probably three. Do you know where Luke is?”
“Ahsoka said he was en route to Tatooine regardless, but he doesn’t–”
“Good. He’ll be with you until I get there. Auntie Soka is coming, right?”
“I don’t think–”
“I’ll call and make sure.”
“Leia, I don’t think this is really necessary–”
“Uncle Ben, stop. You know we loved Kote,” she said, her determined scowl fading in favor of a sympathetic smile. “He was as much family to us as you are. We all want to be there for you, understand?”
“Yes, ma’am,” Ben said, an amused smile pulling at his lips.
“Three days, Ben,” she repeated. “I’ll be there.”
“Alright, Leia,” he nodded.
He ended the holo after she ran out of range, calling after her son, whom he’d been honored to have named after him, but was likely causing some sort of chaos. He was reminded of the child’s grandfather.
He’d lost track of all time, shortly after that. He went about the house, doing the tasks he’d normally do. He tended the few plants he’d kept in the hydroponic pots Kote had built him, ate the ration packs they’d have more and more with their increased age, napped on the couch, made himself a cup of tea–though he’d made far too much to begin with, unaccustomed to serving one–and decided to go through an old box Kote had stored away in the basement a few years back.
The sand and cobweb-covered container was relatively small. He couldn’t imagine what could’ve given it the weight it held. Perhaps it’s my age, he joked to himself. He wished he could hear the sardonic reply he was sure his husband would have given.
When he finally opened the box, he was somewhat surprised to see about a few data sticks.
He brought them up to their console. They were labeled with Kote’s regulation-perfect handwriting, with numbers. He found the one labeled ‘1’ and plugged it in.
Ben was almost startled as the holo-projector began to play. Standing before him was his husband, looking young, handsome, and healthy.
“Hello Ben,” he said, his smile soft and reassuring.
He’d almost forgotten what his riduur sounded like so long ago before time and age had begun to weigh into that warm baritone. With a start, Ben realized he’d probably recorded this sometime right around their wedding.
Holo-Kote chuckled. “Think we’d both be lying if we said we didn’t know what this was. One way or another, I’m gone. Maybe the Empire caught up with me or maybe we’ve had a long life together. Regardless, I hope you know that you… you are everything to me.
“I don’t know if I believe those old stories about ‘soulmates’, and even if I did, I’m not so sure clones like me would even have one, but I think–no, I know–that if I did, it’s you.
“You’re probably crying now,” Holo-Kote grinned, wiping his own budding tears away.
Ben touched his cheek. “Right as always, my dear,” he whispered.
“Anyway, I made this just to keep that stubborn brain of yours from believing anything but this; I love you, Obi-Wan Kenobi. I have from the moment I met you and I will never stop. I married you today and by the Maker, I will do anything and everything within my power to live up to the love you give me. I can only hope that by the time you watch this, I’ll have proven myself worthy of your love.
“I love you, Obi. And please never forget tha–”
“Kote?” Ben heard himself call from another room. “My dear, I believe it’s high time that you get in here and perform your husbandly duties.”
Ben couldn’t help but bark out a laugh at his younger self. He remembered that night well; Kote had, in fact, performed. He wiped his tears away on his sleeve.
“I’ll be right in, ner nepareyc jetii,” Kote smiled off to the side, he then looked back at the holo-recorder. “Maker, I hope the recorder picked that up. In case I don’t get the chance to tell you one last time before I go– you are the partner of my days, the companion of my heart, and the friend of my life. I love you, ner riduur. Goodbye… for now.”
The holo froze at the end, the image of his husband smiling as he pressed the button to end the recording would be etched in his heart for the rest of his days.

✦ what was your easiest fic to write & your hardest?
☉ what do you do when you get stuck writing?
✄ what’s your editing process?
✎ how do you think readers would guess a fic was yours if you posted anonymously?
tysm for the ask!! 🩵🩵 be prepared for a lot of yapping
✦ what was your easiest fic to write & your hardest?
easiest fic: this is a bit of a hard qn bc ive written 58 fics so far through the years and i forgot half the things i wrote kfjjfj but id say, the easiest was probably my first ever real fic, i.e. this hualian hurt/comfort fic where hc has a nightmare of the 100 swords scene. it was the first thing i wrote right after finishing reading tgcf and i wrote it all in one go and the dialogue & actions & characterization flowed so easily, i could picture the scene so easily in my head (which doesn't always happen for me). and writing hualian felt like the easiest thing in the world bc back in 2020 every little detail about them as characters and as a ship was imprinted in my mind so vividly... i miss those days 😔 my memory abilities have deteriorated since then
otherwise, iirc my first ever fengqing fic and my fenglian poem were also very easy to write
hardest fic: 😭😭 this could be so many of my fics tbh, there's so many i struggle so much with.. especially the unfinished wips, bc everything i actually posted means it wasn't the hardest, since i actually managed to finish them
but among my posted wips, i definitely struggled with the earlier chapters of my hualian fake dating au very badly at the earlier chapters and almost gave up on it which was why there was a 1-2 year gap btwn updates 😭😭 i actually went into a 1-2 year long burnout right after posting chap 1. luckily though, the most recent chapters got much better for me, finally reached a part of the story that's much easier and more fun to write (except that i wrote myself into a bit of a corner so ive been brainstorming how to get out of it). i just struggle a lot with multichaps bc my executive dysfunction issues make it very overwhelming for me to plot things. but im very determined to see this fic through to the end and finish my first ever multichap!
there's a lot more i struggled with - usually longer fics, fics for a new fandom (especially visual media fandoms. book/text-based fandoms are much easier bc you already have a canon peek into their character voice and narration style), non-canon ships that need a lot of wrangling to be believable, fics where i worry a lot about being ooc, fics that need action scenes or a real plot
the rest of the qns answered under the cut:
☉ what do you do when you get stuck writing?:
😭 it depends on why im stuck. i might ask someone for help w characterization. sometimes i just go for a jog/walk to clear my head and it works, otherwise if im rly stuck, especially plot-wise, I'll procrastinate and put the fic off for weeks/months
✄ what’s your editing process?
just rereading my own draft and rewriting or filling in the blanks where i feel like it can be better or is missing smth. i don't cut scenes often unless they're really bad. sometimes i rearrange entire paragraphs around to make them flow better
✎ how do you think readers would guess a fic was yours if you posted anonymously?
this is an apt question bc i have 2 anon fics rn and had a few in the past that i took off anon a couple of years later.. i think the easiest way to tell is my authors' notes. in both start & end notes i tend to yap + i usually apologize a lot in the start notes
besides that maybe fic titles (mitski). i think the genres and writing tone/vibe through my 50+ fics have varied a lot so i don't think that would be distinctive.. id be interested to hear if my writing style is distinctive bc i have no idea myself 🤔 i know i have some phrases i reuse across fics though (trying to work on that issue), and a bad habit of having long sentences sometimes (ive really been working on reducing this issue)
(send me an ask from the fic ask game part 1 or the fic ask game part 2)
