The Diaper Prison working! - a San Antonio Bugle Exclusive
Loretta Loft Jan 2024, Victoria County
The breakaway Republic of Texas' (RoT) move to introduce a "Scared Straight!" enforced regression and diaper wearing program for 18-21 year old males has met with significant success, according to Juvenile Justice Secretary Mark Morgan.
"Despite all the criticism, repeat offender rates for these participants have dropped 90% - I repeat 90% - the number speak for themselves. Not only does this save the public prison purse, it saves lives, well-beings and gives these boys a second chance without all the documented bad influences of adult jail. I call on Austin Rep. Michelle Brown to retract her hurtful statements and apologise to [program architect] Dr Strauss in particular." Morgan told reporters at an biannual Police Union gala. Rep. Brown was unavailable for comment.
RoT President Grant Allen also celebrated the program and noted program has now reached its first anniversary, with over 1200 participants enrolling the program. "It's fantastic. I was skeptical myself when they came to me and laid out their case. It's clear the old poorly funded USA system wasn't working. Now we're seeing healthy young man reprimanded, but ready to start again" he added.
Extraordinarily, the voluntary program has proven popular, with over 35% of new offenders choosing the unusual option. Some note however, that despite the program being initially voluntary, entrants can't quit the program early and, in some cases The Bugle is aware of, inmates are prevented from removing their diapers with restraint devices. Violent and sexual offenders are also allowed to participate, but are similarly restrained in high-risk settings.
The program can last anywhere from 3 months to 3 years, depending on the severity of the offence, with the custodial sentence being significantly less than the equivalent offence in adult prison. Victim's groups that were contacted had no comment on program or sentence reductions, but one anonymous spokesperson was cautiously optimistic about the reoffending rate.

Immediately dubbed "The Diaper Prison", the facility without inmate toilets in Victoria County met with outrage and ridicule from opposition and human rights groups who described the program "cruel and unusual punishment", "without any proven efficacy" and "likely to cause long-term harm". Despite complaints, no injunctions have been lodged in the RoT Supreme Court.
Proponents stress the program is entirely voluntary and provides strong psychological support through the offender's custodial stay. Dr. Miley Strauss, lead psychiatrist and co-sponsor of the program - with her wife Dr Jessica Spencer - notes "While the diapers are initially obviously humiliating, having others sharing the same punishment allows the boys to drop their ego and begin a path of self-honesty and introspection. It even allows for moments of silly toilet humour that the boys use to cover their initial embarrassment. I think it's incorrect to label it a "scared straight!" program - to me it's more like a drug redirection program - keeping vulnerable boys out of adult prison".
"The program provides world-class counselling and intervention programs to get to the root of the inmates' problems within a safe and separate juvenille detention facility away from adult prison. The regression aspects of the program boil down to one maxim: most boys just need love".
On the question of lasting damage from enforced diaper wearing, Dr Strauss is forthcoming: "Depending on the custodial sentence, it's estimated 99% of boys will reclaim their daytime continence within 12 months, however, it's expected 30% will struggle with ongoing bedwetting without a strict training program, especially those with a past history. This risk is communicated to participants and their parents at the beginning of the program and we also provide alarms and a supply of diapers to those requesting them for when they return home."
While most complaints centered on being kept in dirty diapers after lights' out (or for up to 1 hour during the day), having pubic hair shaved and being changed in front of others, most former and current inmates interviewed said they didn't regret the decision. "It was very embarrassing at first, but everyone else gets the same treatment - the smell got pretty bad sometimes, but they did a pretty good job of keeping it under control. The food is great if you're good, or terrible if not - that kept most of us in line. I'm now using the bridging program to go to trade school. I wish I didn't need to go to D-block [as the diaper unit is known], but I'm glad I got another chance - I wouldn't have got that in Huntsville" a previous participant spoke under the condition of anonymity.
Others have also criticised the program as sexist, as the program is not available to young women, however many point out that males represent 80% of offenders, and the program remains voluntary.
Private Prison operator Securent was quoted as saying "We're proud to operate this new state of the facility in conjunction with the Department of Health and equally proud at the results its producing while we also see a fraction of the incidents at other equivalent juvenile facilities".

Virginia “Genie” Lynn Wolfe, 33 (USA 1998)
33-year-old Virginia “Genie” Wolfe went to Methodist Women’s and Children’s Hospital on July 6, 1998, to have an abortion. During the suction abortion, abortionist Lillian Jones tore Genie’s uterus and bladder. Genie was bleeding internally, but Jones did not notice anything was wrong until she lost so much blood that she went into cardiac arrest.
Doctors at the hospital gave her an emergency hysterectomy and repaired her mutilated bladder, but Genie had sustained severe brain damage from the lack of bloodflow to her brain. Despite all efforts to save her, Genie died 4 days after her abortion.
Genie and her baby didn’t have to die. Their lives were both needlessly cut short by “safe and legal” abortion.

Dogs kill woman serving court papers at Texas home
Travis County – Texas authorities say a woman who went to a home to serve court papers was killed when several loose dogs attacked her. The Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the victim was Erin McClesky (picture), a 36-year-old process server from Austin who was serving civil papers, Fox 7 reported Thursday. Deputies said a caretaker for the dogs found McClesky’s body Wednesday night, several hours after she had gone to a home in Northeast Travis County. “There was no one at the house expect for the dogs when she entered the property,†sheriff’s office spokesman Roger Wade told the station. Photo Booth Rental Austin TX
Photo booths have transformed from novelty items to essential elements at events across Austin, TX, and beyond. Whether planning a wedding reception, corporate event, birthday party, or any special occasion, integrating a photo booth rental can elevate your event in numerous ways.
One of the primary benefits of a photo booth rental in Austin, TX, is its ability to enhance the overall guest experience. Unlike traditional photography setups, photo booths invite guests to interact and have fun, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Guests of all ages can participate, from children to grandparents, fostering inclusivity and ensuring everyone feels engaged and entertained.
Photo booths provide guests with instant, tangible keepsakes. The personalized photo strips or digital prints serve as souvenirs of the event, capturing candid moments and allowing guests to take home a piece of the celebration. These photos often find their way onto refrigerators or in scrapbooks as reminders of the fun and joy experienced at your event.
Another significant benefit of a photo booth rental in Austin, TX, is its ability to encourage socialization among guests. People naturally interact and bond over shared experiences as they gather to take photos. This social element helps break the ice, especially at corporate events or gatherings where guests may need to learn about each other better.
Photo booths are inherently entertaining. They provide a source of amusement throughout the event, offering guests an opportunity to dress up with props, strike poses, and create memorable snapshots. This entertainment value extends beyond just taking photos; it includes the excitement of seeing the instant results and sharing laughs over funny poses or group shots.
Modern photo booth rentals in Austin, TX, often include customization options to suit the event's theme or branding. From personalized photo strips to digital overlays and themed backgrounds, organizers can tailor the photo booth experience to complement the overall aesthetics of their event. This customization enhances the visual appeal of the photos and reinforces the event's identity.
Beyond the fun and entertainment, photo booth rentals also offer practical benefits. They can be a marketing tool for corporate events, with branded photo prints that include logos or event hashtags. Additionally, event organizers can gather valuable insights by analyzing the digital footprint left by guests sharing their photos on social media.
Integrating a photo booth rental in Austin, TX, into your next event can significantly enhance its appeal and success. From creating memorable experiences and fostering social interaction to providing personalized keepsakes and adding entertainment value, photo booths are versatile additions catering to various event types and guest preferences. Whether planning a small gathering or a large-scale affair, consider the benefits a photo booth can bring to ensure your event is memorable and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Israel has cut water, electricity and food to Palestinians in Gaza. They are buying 10.000 M16 rifles and plan to distribute to civilian settlers in the West Bank to hunt down Palestinians. They're bombing the only way out of Gaza through Egypt, after telling refugees to flee through it, and have threatened the Egyptian government in case they let aid trucks pass through. Entire families, generations, are being wiped out and left to wander the streets hoping they don't get bombed.
Palestinians are using their last minutes of battery to let the world know about their genocide and are being met with a wall of "What about Hamas? What about the beheaded babies? Killing children on either side is bad!" even though the propaganda claims have been debunked over and over again. How cruel is it to ask somebody to condemn themselves before their last words? Or before grieving the loss of their entire families? When there's no such disclaimer to Israelis even though their government has shown over and over genocidal intent? Like who are you even trying to appease? What will your wishy washy statement do against decades of zionist thought infiltrating evangelical and Jewish stablishmemts?
Take action. Israel will fall back if public opinion turns its tide. The UK fell back on its bloody decision to cut aid to Palestine under public scrutiny. The USAmerican empire spends $3.8 billion dollars annually solely on this proxy war while its people suffer under a progressively military regime as well. News outlets are canceling last minute on Palestinian speakers while letting Israelis tell lies unchecked. Palestinian refugees are being targeted in ICE establishments and mosques are already being hounded by the FBI. France and Germany have banned pro-Palestine protests, while Netherlands and the UK have placed restrictions . You have the chance to stop this from turning into repeat of the Iraq war.
I want to do something but there's hardly anything for me to do from Brasil besides spreading the word and not letting these testimonies fall on deaf ears. I'm asking you to do this same ant work from wherever you are.

Baytown, Texas, is in Harris and Chambers counties, forming part of the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. Located on the northern edge of the Galveston Bay complex, it is near the confluence of the San Jacinto River and Buffalo Bayou. It ranks as the sixth-largest city in the metropolitan area and the seventh-largest community, including The Woodlands CDP. Major Baytown highways include State Highway 99, 146, and Interstate 10. According to the 2020 U.S. census, Baytown's population was 83,701, estimated to have grown to 84,324 by 2022.
The area now known as Baytown saw its first White American settlers in 1822. Among these early settlers was Nathaniel Lynch, who established a ferry crossing at the junction of the San Jacinto River and Buffalo Bayou, a service still in operation today as the Lynchburg Ferry. Other notable early settlers included William Scott, one of Stephen F. Austin's Old Three Hundred, and Ashbel Smith, who owned a plantation in the area.
Initially, Baytown consisted of three separate towns. The first, Goose Creek, was named after the nearby bayou where Canada geese would winter, a name still reflected in the Goose Creek school district established before 1850. The discovery of the Goose Creek Oil Field led to the development of the rival communities of Pelly in the late 1910s and East Baytown in the early 1920s, both emerging as early boomtowns. The "East" in East Baytown was later dropped as it was located west of Goose Creek.
Discussions about merging the three cities began shortly after World War I, but Baytown initially resisted. However, in 1947, the three towns agreed to consolidate under Baytown, officially forming the city on January 24, 1948.
In 1916, the Humble Oil and Refining Company, founded by former Texas governor Ross S. Sterling and his associates, developed the Goose Creek Oil Field, establishing Texas's first offshore drilling operation and the second in the United States. The company later built the Baytown Refinery, one of the world's largest Exxon refineries. Today, ExxonMobil remains a significant employer in the city, operating over ten plants in the area, including a newly announced $2 billion expansion to its chemical facilities in 2019.
The discovery of oil spurred significant population growth in Baytown and the surrounding tri-cities area. This period saw an influx of immigrants, including Jewish families who established the K’nesseth Israel synagogue in 1930.
Steel manufacturing in Baytown began in 1970 when United States Steel opened the Texas Works near the city. The plant was closed in July 1986 due to economic challenges and the decline of American steel in the 1980s. Jindal Steel acquired the facility and now operates as JSW Steel USA, Inc.

Sheila Yvonne Watley, 31 (USA 1987)
On December 29, 1987, 31-year-old Sheila Watley underwent a legal abortion at an abortion facility called Concerned Women’s Center in Houston, Texas. She was 17 weeks pregnant and had given birth to her son Desmond in January of the same year. Because of abortion, Sheila wouldn’t live to see the new year.
Richard Cunningham was the abortionist who killed Sheila and her second baby. About four minutes after Cunningham started the abortion, Sheila went into cardio-respiratory arrest. She was pronounced dead later that day.
A court case was filed against the abortionist, but (according to information Cunningham gave the Texas medical board) it was dismissed.
The cause of death was listed as an amniotic fluid embolism. A “safe and legal” abortion made Sheila’s husband Charles a widower and left little Desmond—who was not even a year old yet— a motherless only child.
