Celeste Sallow: OK THIS IS THE NAME IM SUPER PROUD OF BAHAHA because not only does the name celeste relate to the stars (in typical ravenclaw fashion...clora picked the name) but celeste sallow is also an alliteration. BUT, its an alliteration that begins with a C, which means clora gets to match with celeste in the form of both of their names starting with a C, whereas sebastian gets to match with celeste because both of their names are an alliteration/they're alliteration allies🥹ITS THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!🥳

Lewis Sallow: as for lewis, if you've read my fic then you know that seb has a vendetta against names that start with an L bahaha, but 'lewis' was actually HIS idea. when celeste was born, seb wanted to find a muggle story to read to her, since clora's favourite story is ALSO a muggle one (sherlock), and he wanted to stick with tradition. so he ended up finding alice in wonderland, which he loved because of how adventurous and clever alice was and of how much she reminded him of clora and celeste (both personality and looks wise). it became his favourite for those reasons, to the point that when they had lewis, sebastian overcame his L-name hatred by naming their son after lewis carroll.

Houses: celeste could have been sorted into either gryffindor or slytherin, but ultimately ends up in slytherin because she wants to be like seb. kinda like how clora also probably could have been in gryffindor, tbh. as for lewis.....him being 10000% in ravenclaw doesnt need any explanation BAHA, just look at him.

Appearance: since clora has a tiny bit of veela blood in her, thats obvs passed down to their kids, too, and so they mostly take after her as a result of it. but there's still little bits of seb that shine through in each of the kids: for lewis its his brown curly hair, and for celeste its her complexion/freckles. and the fact that celeste looks so similar to clora only doubles up sebastian's stress/protective instincts when he watches her BAHAH. he's ofc still proud that she takes after him so closely, but seb also cant deny that he wishes it had been their SON that had taken after him instead, to keep her out of danger.

Celeste & Lewis: for celeste and lewis’ relationship, celeste is a super proud big sister, and treats lewis kinda like how seb treats clora. if there's anything that needs to be done, she offers to do it for him. and although she doesn’t have the patience to read stories herself, she loves playing outside and having lewis read to her in the background, and loves to act out/use his stories to fuel her imagination. and lewis makes sure to pick stories that he KNOWS she’ll like (which mostly involve heroic and daring feats of adventurers or pirates. he's tried to read more classic fairytales and romances to her a few times, but celeste always gets bored). she loves to draw though, so sometimes when lewis reads books that have no pictures, she'll draw them herself.

Celeste & Seb/Clora: celeste is a daddy's girl LOL and always tries to impress seb with the stuff she does, especially after hearing how HE was at her age, and so its half to impress and half because shes competitive that she wants to do the same/be just as good. and seb always gets a kick out of hearing her feats in the crossed wands club, or in defense against the dark arts class, and he also goads her on, telling her she'll have to do better than that if she wants to be as good as HE was. and whenever celeste gets detention, clora always stresses and asks why, whereas seb just tries to keep the smirk off his face. as for celeste and clora, clora also reads to celeste, and bakes and cooks with her, which is something celeste actually likes doing. not only because it keeps her busy and she likes to help and get messy in general, but also because she likes the fact that it results in good food afterwards LOL, and constantly asks when things can be taken out of the oven. also, for as tomboy-y as celeste is, she honestly doesn't mind/likes the clothing that clora puts her in and likes when clora dresses her up, bc it makes her look like one of the princesses from the storybooks, and it just amuses her more than anything else. once she enters hogwarts, though, its mostly trousers. but she still DOES like the occasional girly clothing.

Lewis & Seb/Clora: lewis is a momma's boy LOL and unlike celeste, doesnt care about duelling or of proving himself or anything like that, and is only concerned with stories and his future studies. so ofc clora had to show him sherlock, which he naturally loved. it even inspired lewis to want to write his own stories, so that he could challenge his own skill and see if he could, but also because he wants his mom to read them, and likes the idea of writing his own sherlock-esque story with equations and mysteries to be solved that he can offer her. lewis also wants to write a book for celeste as well, bc although he wont admit it, he basically wants to write a story tailor-made for her and her interests. one that he thinks will have everything she’d love in it. and part of it is genuinely because he WANTS to do it for her, but the other part of it is also for his ego, and to see if he CAN write a compelling story, and write something that would actually get THE hyperactive celeste to sit down and read it in its entirety (not to mention of her own volition). as for with seb, lewis looks up to him more than anyone else, due to how well-rounded he is and how hes so good at practical stuff AND studying, and he kinda sees seb as a main character/protagonist from one of his books, and uses sebastian as inspiration for his own stories. if hes stuck on what he thinks the dashing main character should do next, he'll ask his dad what HE would do, which results in seb getting very weird questions that he nonetheless is always happy to answer. also, when lewis is older and finally learns the full story of what happened with clora and seb and ranrok and rookwood, he writes their story in novel form, except he just changes their names/some of the details, and it becomes a best seller LOL. and i didnt know where to put this, but the four of them all read a story before bed every night, with lewis in the middle and seb and clora on either side of him. though celeste stands at the foot of the bed, basically doing a charade/mime show of what theyre reading, and putting on a little play to go along with it BAHHA.

Since your Scarlet Lady comic is ending, I have two questions:

1. Do we continue drawing outfits for the characters?

Specials, no. My conclusion for SL will make those kinda hard, at least as they are. Plus the only one I've seen is the Paris Special, so...

And as for drawing outfits, actually yes! I have a ton of outfits saved for the characters that didn't make it into SL so I want to do some fake magazine spreads of the characters!

He awoke suddenly.

His legs were curled beneath him awkwardly, his shoulder ached, and something warm dribbled down the side of his face. Sirius lifted heavy lids. At this strange angle, the world was bleary and dark. Snow filtered like dust through the hole in the ceiling, crisscrossing through splintered beams to settle on the bodies strewn over the floor. Sirius himself was laying across someone’s body. 

Groaning, he pushed himself up and surveyed the spinning room. Antonin and Rabastan had caught the full force of the blast and were hurled to the other side of the room, their forms now slumped at the base of the blown-out window. A wizard Sirius didn’t know had lost a leg by the looks of it. The man below Sirius who had cushioned the impact of the explosion was breathing shallowly, his body riddled with splinters. 

He had landed on Potter—James Potter who was struggling to breathe, his chest filled with shrapnel. As far as Sirius could tell, they were the only two people left in the world, the only two left alive. Awareness swam back to him as he realized that James Potter was dying.

It jolted him awake. His fingers flew to Potter’s robes, fumbling to unfasten the clasp on his cloak, scrabbling to rip open the buttons on his shirt and expose the bloody chest—

Sirius inhaled sharply. 

“No…no, Potter, don’t do this…”

It was a surprise Potter wasn’t already dead. He was riddled with splinters that punctured his belly and chest. Sirius whipped around to see that no one was moving in the room—all was silent save for James Potter’s labored breaths. 

 He had never seen Potter so pale. A boy with scarlet, wind-beaten cheeks splitting through the air on a broomstick surfaced in his mind. Sirius had never wanted to play Quidditch at Hogwarts, but he had longed to be closer to that boy—the one who flew with such nimble speed, who gritted his teeth with such fury when tailed by his opponent, who erupted with ill-contained enthusiasm when he scored. A boy with so much life. 

Sirius touched the pale face. He needed to leave. The Dark Lord would understand if he left behind Antonin and Rabastan to save himself—they were expendable and Sirius was not. No one would blame him for fleeing without regard to his companions. Yet Sirius lingered, smoothing a thumb across the skin flecked with filth, wondering when Potter’s face had lost the softness of his youth. He longed to see hazel eyes fly open, to see them glaring at him with the sort of vitriol Sirius had craved since they had left Hogwarts over a decade ago. 

“Come on, Potter. Wake up, fool…wake up… This is no place to die.”

At last, the eyelids were fluttering. Little by little, hazel eyes gained focus. Dazed, Potter looked at him.

“Black? What…?”

Potter moved his hand to his exposed chest, but Sirius caught his wrists.

“Don’t touch it,�� warned Sirius. 

“God, it hurts. Am I dying?”

“No. I don’t think so. But—but you’ve got to get help.”

Potter groaned and his eyes slide shut. Sirius tapped his face hard. “No—no, don’t do that, Potter. Talk to me. Stay with me.”

“M’tired. Just want to—”

The wind howled through the ruined ceiling, and Sirius shuddered. No one else was moving, and James Potter seemed well on his way to being like the rest of them. Sirius cupped Potter’s face. What would Voldemort do if he found that Sirius had saved Potter but not Antonin and Rabastan? 

“Talk to me,” Sirius urged. “Tell me about your son.”

“Harry?”

“Yes, tell me about him. He must be at Hogwarts now.”

“Yeah,” said Potter. “Yeah, he’s there now. Good boy. Good kid.” The eyelids drooped again. 

“Talk!” barked Sirius, jerking Potter awake. 

“Q-Quidditch. Plays Quidditch. Good…at it…”

Blood pooled at the corner of Potter’s mouth. Sirius groped around the floor for his wand, prompting Potter with benign questions as his own panic mounted. Where was it? Had it been splintered int the blast? Potter wasn’t going to live—not if Sirius didn’t get him out of this dilapidated house in the next moment—and that would be the end of Potter—

Then, he spotted it and dove for the familiar wand beneath a pile of debris.

Potter fell silent, his mumblings trailing off.

Sirius growled and lightly slapped the scruff of Potter’s face, but the hazel eyes didn’t reopen. Resolved to accept the consequence of Lord Voldemort’s fury for saving the Auror but not his companions, Sirius drew the unconscious man to his chest, tucked the head of wild hair beneath his chin, and Disapparated.

What does Aurore think of a female MC? Particularly in terms of them being in charge of their household, having freedom, being able to do “unladylike” things like wearing masculine clothing & fencing.

At the very least, she feels respect and some measure of envy. She craves the same kind of freedom. Not necessarily wearing masculine clothes or fencing (although if she ever tries she might find a taste for it, who knows), but having no man to answer to is something she never thought possible and a female Gonzague proves her wrong. It could almost convince her to condone murder…

And depending on that Gonzague’s behavior and actions, she also finds that particularly attractive. Because of her experiences with her father, she’s very wary of men and a female Gonzague might have an easier time romancing her.

With the winners of the zodiac polls until now,how you imagine the relashionship between them, their power and their kwami?

Multimouse

Marinette with Mouse is a mixed bag. It's both helpful and unhelpful. Given the busy body multitasker that Marinette is, she is delighted to find that this Miraculous can make her the ultimate multitasker! She can get so much done at the same time! Which is great in opening up her schedule more. But it clicks for her that she can get even more done too, and she starts to pile more onto her plate, doing more and more, spreading herself out more and more, embracing the productivity, the concept of taking a break far from her mind, she can't stop now when there's so much she can now do... expect this to be a for sure lesson focus for Marinette to learn.

In the field, Multimouse is the resourceful planner. Having only numbers on her side (which are delicate), she works off her surroundings and make elaborate traps. If she can, she would try to talk and appeal to akumas, especially when by herself. With the team, she often takes the planner roles and steps up as leader as needed but doesn't aim for it. It was a bit of a struggle to find her footing as some of her comrades had a tendency to rush and power through fights, so plans and traps weren't as needed. But she does bring perspective to her allies, pointing out details they miss, and can help direct them to perform at their best.

Out of the current team so far, she works best with Senushi, Hollyhop, and Oudragon; two of them being a brawn to Multimouse's brain, though Hollyhop echoes and works off Multimouse's compassion. Purple Tigress is a little harder to work with as she's more elusive and act on their own, and Python occasionally just competes with her on intellect.

With Mullo, Marinette finds her to be exhausting. Given this kwami is a gremlin who likes to prank humans, Mullo loves to throw curve balls in Marinette's life. She likes to try and startle Marinette, she'll stash away things Marinette needs or will look for and not bring them out no matter how much Marinette asks or demands it. Mullo claims that usually it's to get Marinette to take breaks, but since Marinette doesn't get what she wants after a break, she's certain it's more Mullo's little games to mess with her. But Marinette is resilient, long has she been able to roll with life's punches, she can roll with this gremlin, and seeks solutions to entertain Mullo so she can get work done (like making her a maze). Mullo can also be the devil on her shoulder, playing into Marinette's perfectionism, especially with competition, to aim to win, to get a leg up over others. She actively tries to get Marinette to cheat to secure an easy win, but Marinette's got too strong a sense of integrity to do so. But she will aim to put her best foot forward.

Senushi

For Kagami, Willpower feels natural. As someone who is direct, bold, and charge at challenges, this power is right of Kagami's alley. It's just so satisfying being able to punch an annoying akuma in the face and see them go flying across Paris. All the better when it's that infuriating brat Chloe or the liar Lila.

In the field, Senushi will just power through fights, especially when by herself, often winning through brute force. And as it worked for her, she wasn't one to really work with others initially. She rather just handle things on her own and felt the others would just slow her down. That is, until Hawk Moth started making akumas that couldn't be solved with brawls. It was then that Multimouse's perspective, direction, and plans started to help Senushi win in fights.

Out of the current team so far, Multimouse is the only one Senushi doesn't mind working with. Purple Tigress she's put off by her elusive nature, sometimes feels like she's cheating. Hollyhop she does think is useful but is too much of a pacifist for her liking. Oudragon is arrogant. Python has a similar appeal as Multimouse, but doesn't work off her strengths as well.

Kagami gets along well with Stompp. He's equally direct and to the point, he backs her preference to charge into challenges, to never shy away, backing that she has the power and she can throw that weight around. The only thing they ever butt heads about is Kagami being dismissive towards others while Stompp wants her to stop and help others in need.

Purple Tigress

Juleka finds Prowl to be a natural power, being able to slip into shadows, go where she pleases. As fun and cool as it is, it was a bit of a lonely power.

Initially, Purple Tigress was an uncommon sight to see for the heroes, as she was a more stealth and ambush hero. She actually didn't really connect with any heroes at first, with Oudragon being the first she connects with (at least for now), with the Dragon hero seeing use for her elusive nature. Now they have a little too much fun outsmarting and scaring akumas.

With Roaar, Juleka is gradually finding her voice. Despite having a stealthy power, Roaar ironically is very bossy, and she directs that to trying to get Juleka to speak up and stand up for herself, for a tiger should never cower or be held back by anxiety! Which early on, really overwhelmed Juleka with pressure and distress. At some point, she will snap and "roar" like her kwami wants, and revealing a lot of withheld frustration, though she's not quite there yet in having a voice, or entirely is where she wants to be publicly.

Hollyhop

Rose works well with Blue Moon, it gives her a chance to take in her surroundings, to rush to others and help as needed.

As a pacifist, Hollyhop actually spends her time clearing out civilians than focusing on the akuma and fights, which has frustrated some of her allies as she can easily just go and grab the item and end a fight there. Hollyhop does do so, but if she sees someone in danger, she'll prioritize them first. For this reason, Multimouse is the one Hollyhop gets along with the most, sharing her sense of empathy, and offering the more reactive Hollyhop some direction when there are details she missed.

With Fluff, holder and kwami seem like a very ditzy pair between Fluff's rambles and Rose's daydreaming. They actually wind up feeding into each other a lot, but do kinda balance each other out as Fluff is very observant, catching details that Rose misses, and Rose is more grounded, able to slow Fluff down when the kwami is spiraling.

Oudragon

Aurore loves Sky's Limit. She's an aspiring weather girl, who gets to control the weather! And having a bit of an ego, she has used this at least once to get carried away talking about the weather and what happens (expect this to be a focus lesson at some point).

In the field, Oudragon thrives on just overwhelming her opponents with weather and elements. Even limited to 5 minutes to do so, she can be an absolute powerhouse. Until Hawk Moth gets a little more clever with his akumas, and she needs to adjust how she goes about fights.

This is where Multimouse and Python comes to be a big help, being more thinkers and planners to her. She also enjoys working with Purple Tigress, and like to tag team messing with akumas as they can both be ambushers.

With Longg, Aurore is delighted to find that he's a meteorologist at heart, and is eager to learn his knowledge. He is very quick to disapprove of her trying to use this power to boost her popularity for perfectly predicting the weather, pushing for integrity instead. Longg does try to try push Aurore to be more humble and patient, but this is a harder task to achieve. But he is there to offer a different perspective when Aurore has her head in the clouds.

Python

Max is fascinated with Recoil and it's possibilities, and is very explorative with it. He somewhat approaches it like it's a bit of a game, to see how he can solve issues on his own.

Which does largely have him dealing with akumas on his own initially, and he struggles to work with others or his plans get carried away. He does find he can work off Multimouse's own intellect well enough, but can turn it into a bit of a competition. He can work well with Senushi, but she doesn't always have the patience for his plans. He so far works best with Oudragon, able to use his power to send enemies back into her storm or help do damage control when she gets going. Unlike Senushi, she's also more patient and willing to listen to what he's thinking.

With Sass, Max gets along with him very well. Being sharp, Sass likes to be intellectually engaging, and often pushes trying to get Max to look upon things with different perspective, to be open to making adjustments, like working with others more. If needed, Sass will allow consequences to be a teacher, then offer the advise when he knows Max will listen.

In your opinion, in Harry Potter couldn’t become an Auror for whatever reason, what job do you think he be happy doing?

Hmm good question! (And sorry I’ve been so slow to answer this!)

I am very pro Auror!Harry, and feel like it’s the best career for him, but if it wasn’t an option…I feel like maybe he could be happy being a healer or a curse breaker. (I still don’t think I would read an AU about Harry being a healer or a curse breaker though — I am still very committed to Auror!Harry.)

While not as perfect a match as being an auror, I think that both healing and curse breaking would at least give Harry these two things that I think are important for him to have in a job:

I believe that for Harry to really thrive in a job, he needs a bit of a challenge (for example, I don’t think he would be happy just helping out at the shop for Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes) — Harry needs something to keep him thinking and on his toes a bit.

Harry likes to help people — in fact, he almost feels it’s a moral obligation to help people whenever he can. He needs a job that makes him feel like he is making a difference.

I know that a lot of people imagine Harry being a Hogwarts professor if he never became an auror, but I’ve never been a huge fan of that concept (no hate if that’s your thing though!). I just personally think that going back to Hogwarts so soon after the war would be difficult for him. He loved Hogwarts, and while I don’t think his love for the place would ever change, it was also a pretty turbulent time in his life, and I think he would be ready to move on after the war. I also think he would get tired of teaching after awhile. Others have pointed out that while Harry enjoyed teaching the DA, he might really struggle with the annoying parts of teaching that come with teaching as a real professor (as opposed to a leader of a student rebel group) like grading, classroom management, and meeting curriculum requirements. I do like the idea of him maybe becoming a professor for a short time as an older man, though, after retiring from the aurors (@floreatcastellumposts writes about this a bit in her fics.)

What are your favorite tags/tropes/scenarios that you enjoy reading or writing in drarry fics? Any particular themes you like to explore? 🍏⚡️

What a great question! I don't have a hard and fast answers because a lot of it's down to execution. Like I never considered myself a fan of the Hanahaki disease trope but I thought it was really well done in Take in the Air (My Quiet Breath) - linked here for anyone who wants to check it out. So there's no hard and fast rules in terms of tropes that I will/won't read.

That said, there are a couple tropes that I tend to like. I absolutely LOVE 8th year fics. And also post-war fics in general because I really like everything in canon (minus the epilogue) as buildup for drarry happening after the war. I also like some good angst - Draco dealing with guilt and with having his life kinda wrecked in the postwar world and having to pick up the pieces is super fun. As is Draco spending some time in the muggle world. Harry testifying at Draco's trial is also canon to me so I guess that counts lol.

And of course I love fics where Harry thinks Draco is Up to Something TM (though I'm very particular about the execution here if it's postwar because I don't like it when Harry's too overboard with disliking/distrusting Draco postwar since I feel it contradicts one of the things that is most interesting about their canon dynamic - the extent to which even when they are enemies there is a surprising and notable lack of true enmity between them - so it's a delicate balance to strike). And of course Harry getting to do his Saving People thing and rescuing Draco is fun. As is Draco getting to save Harry in return. I also love some good Draco angsts about his Dark Mark not coming off content.

I haven't published any drarry fics yet though I've got some I'm working on and some of these tropes definitely show up. For example 3 are postwar fics (and one is a DH divergent AU). Of the postwar fics one's an 8th year fic. Harry testified at Draco's trial in all of the postwar fics. Etc.

That one goes to Chapter 13 of Soundbite. There's a lot of really good moments, it's the final battle! Lucille, Scott, and Hope fighting together and then her showdown with Daniel was good, I think action is what I'm best at writing. I have two favorites though, both were pretty major twists and memorable moments.

Might be a long post, I get pretty into it when I'm talking about my creative process and background stuff, this ask game is one of my favorites.

She could hear Scott and Hope trying to get into the suite to no avail. He could grow to giant size, but it would draw too much attention and potentially destroy the entire place while they were inside. Even if he chose to transform, Bruce wouldn’t be able to make it to her in time. Just as she felt the sting of thinking about the last person she cared about, a glass cage came down and trapped her inside, Lucille became stuck in her feelings and was too panicked to react and move out of the way. She looked around, thinking this was one of his final tricks until the air stayed the same, thin as if she were at a high altitude, but still breathable. She started to take slow breaths, but wondered what could have caused this until her earpiece came back on. “Are you in the glass?” Kurt asked her through the comms, sounding both worried and relieved at the same time. “Please, did it work?”

Kurt saves Lucille! He's usually just the "guy in the chair" and away from all the action, but I wanted him to have a cool moment where he uses his skills to save the day. It really just cements how much they care about each other.

I think it's a little hard for Kurt to be able to actually help out with Lucille and relate to her struggles since he isn't a superhero, just a normal guy with a computer, but he still can make a huge difference and he is a vital part of the mission and her life.

“They’ll remember me through you.”

These are Daniel's last words, gloating to Lucille that even though he's about to die, he's going to win in the end. Because of him, she is who she is today and if it weren't for the terrible things he did, Lucille wouldn't have met everyone. If she becomes a famous hero, he's woven into her origin story and it's almost impossible to separate him from it. It's kind of a bittersweet victory that way.

Scott and Hope flew inside and grew back to normal size, hoping to see if Lucille was okay. Both of them came closer to her, concerned, but she rushed to Daniel’s side to assess his condition. They followed and their eyes widened at the sight, Daniel was almost unconscious, his heartbeat and breathing slow and quiet. His body was pale and frozen, and his eyes struggled to stay open as they looked over at the two Avengers. The corners of his mouth twitched up. “No, no,” Lucille sighed, lifting him up a little, ready to jump out and carry him away. “You can’t die, you can’t just leave this behind.” She stopped as Daniel took a loud, sharp breath and the sound of his heart turned to silence. Her body tensed up for a moment, then Lucille frantically checked his vitals for any sign of life, but when it became clear that he was dead, she set his body back down on the floor. She froze, still kneeling as her vision blurred and all the noise she was hearing started to fade. Scott had to pull her from the floor and into his arms as Hope went to purge the research files and any record of his progress with the Pym Particles.

I think they could have found a way into the room, but it made the most thematic sense for Lucille to be alone with him. She's had enough help up to this point, this was her time to shine.

Lucille feels like she lost because he's not alive to pay for what he's done. It's not the happiest ending, and she's in a lot of pain and denial for what just happened. Scott knows that letting her stay in her feelings isn't good for her, he might have felt the same way after Natasha and Tony's deaths. Hope is a little bit more focused and since it's her family's work in danger, is the one to finish the job.
