I haven’t really said much after my last personal update (I can’t really remember if I made one before), but I guess a lot has happened. I want to write my thoughts down on what my path will be going forward before I post it, but I just want to thank those who have supported me through all that I’ve gone through for the first quarter of this year. To my friends, my mutuals, and to those who have said hi to me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have received some anons that I want to publish, plus finish those requests I’ve had since last year (I am so sorry again for the wait), so please bear with me.

I found a really nice notebook with a gorgeous fig pattern on it, I definitely wanna use it for dionysus but idk what I'd use it for. Writing prayers maybe? Idk yet I'm sure I'll think of something

trope trope for Aurelia

As you have already guessed, Aurelia can be defined by the trope of Parental Abandonment. While she no longer lived with her mother after an attempt was made on her life during infancy, that does not absolve Josefine's lack of parenting let alone Anki's. Both of them have been too self absorbed in their own situations that they practically left Aurelia to fend for herself. It is a heartbreaking thought when you consider how in her early years, she even wondered if there was something wrong with her that neither parent bothered to really be there for her as she often saw with other children and their families.

Unfortunately, this goes hand-in-hand with Conditioned to Accept Horror when you realize that Anki was her primary influence growing up. Her father's ways are horrific to say the least, finding pleasure in the torture of others and going so far as to to manipulate and give false hope just to savor the despair that comes from a tragic end. Aurelia was often exposed to grotesque and bloody sights, even going as far as being taught to participate and accept them as part of her own existence when her bloodline is by all accounts inhuman. Blood, violence -- they're all part of who she is and as her father often told her: 'kill or be killed'. A harsh lesson but one that is deeply ingrained in her psyche that witnessing horrific acts is just another passing day to her. You might even say she is numb to it.

"I know, I look a mess." Blair hedges in advance of Aurelia's certain commentary, tugging at the lapels of his shirt. In the aftermath of the attack on Versailles, there is little in the way of resources - several maids and guards apprehended, others donated to the Bourbon cause. As the bastard son of a wealthy Lord, he's accustomed to the strange balance; fine clothes with only himself to manage it. But he looks presentable enough, for sitting and taking the air with the Queen of Switzerland. As Queen, Lia is busy, of course, and Blair takes no offense to the days taken for them to meet. What is important is she's safe, away from harm, and seemingly undeterred. "I cannot say the same for you, however." Blair adds slickly, lips upturned into the charming smile he's practiced since childhood. Maybe he did not have innate charisma, but he could call on it when needed. "I apologize for my absence. Evelyn and her sisters are in higher spirits following latest events. But I am here now." He nods, reaching across the table and placing a hand on her arm.

thinking about how a lot of hel's romance arc is her struggling with the player actually wanting her physically and not merely enduring it or being kind to her and then in one verse, out of all the conventionally attractive pcs i have, she's the one that ends up in a poly triad with two hot as fuck men--

And Aurelia would of course call Orlain pretty, are you kidding? I'm surprised she hasn't canonically yet!

Anyone that knew him or knew of him would be able to confidently say that he had a penchant for punishment and unnecessary cruelty. Or so he was told that others thought of him, and as long as they were aware of what he was capable of, Cardan was happy to have this fun little reputation.

Especially since it gave him freedom from being forced into any kind of responsibility that might be placed at his feet. He had no interest in any of that, unlike his brother, he did not crave or desire any of these supposed powerful positions, because he was aware with them, you have no ability to do what you exactly what to. “ It isn’t something boring like books is it? ”

I think for 2024 I want to start developing a weekly practice. Aphrodite's day is Friday and that's also one of my days off, so I was thinking I could do something for her each Friday (a prayer, ritual, etc).

I'd like to do something for my other gods too but I don't want to overwhelm myself either so maybe I'll just start with Fridays and see how things go
