okay, okay since it's invading my brain:

Random Idea Transformers & Dragonball crossover (here me out it actually works really well for both fandoms):

starting out with the beastwars one first I have a pretty simple idea, Tarantulas opens a portal and has Waspinator go through as a test. (this is normal albeit more obscure TF shenanigans really) I'm continuing under read more, this maybe a bit long.

unfortunately knowing Waspinators abysmal luck, the portal closes behind him and he's stuck in the crossfire of a fight. (Waspinator is one of the TF equivalents of Yamcha, the universe uses him as a chew toy pretty much)

thankfully however he still has that one ability Starscream left behind after possessing him, so it does not matter if he's exploded, punched an burned he will not die. (yes this is an actual detail from the specific series I pulled from, don't worry Waspinators too incompetent to cause any problems)

so from there the focus would be on the friendships he makes in this world that's completely foreign to him, there's so much potential shock between Waspinator and the armored squadron. to list a few:

how jobs were determined on old cybertron, that one scene from revenge of Cooler where he scolds Salza rather than threatening his life (why I feel like armored squadron is more amusing than say the Frieza force, and I couldn't see him teaming up with the Z fighters either), the idea of purely organic beings transforming

Poor Waspinator would be like: "Wait you're not going to kill me for messing up, I can go and try again without having my life threatened?" it would be so adorable my gosh

he'd probably be seen as a "pet" or an underling that's strictly an attendant, not a fighter but he's definitely not the type to be bothered by it.

Waspinator gets blown up on the daily basis in canon and hates it, as long as he can be happy and not have his happiness ripped from him so quickly, Waspinator would be on board without complaint

alternatively I have a TFA version as well:

Waspinator blowing up again and ending up somewhere completely unfamiliar, and he's forced to piece himself together again. this ones a lot more conflict filled with everything he's gone through, they would really have to coax into it.

finally having basic accommodations again: food, shelter, warmth etc. from an outsider looking in Waspinator would probably look like a starving animal being fed for the first time in a long time, defending his food like they would take it away at any moment.

he's skittish and has a habit of getting aggressive when cornered, it takes much longer to earn his trust than his beastwars counterpart. once his trust is earned however his attitude has changed a bit, he's still a little odd but he's very determined to prove himself, as if he feels a need to earn or repay for letting him stay.

he talks about hating jail a lot, hating small spaces, etc. it makes a lot of people a little worried, until he eventually tells them the heartbreaking truth. the fact he was falsely accused of a crime and locked away for so long, the horrors he went through, escaping and fending for himself from then on.

there's a lot of damage but it takes a long time to earn his trust because of it, healing would likely take a long time as well. Imagine just giving your employee a pat on the back for a job well done, and he breaks down crying at the touch and praise aughhhhhhh

honestly I kind of like this one a little more, it hurts a little but like he's getting what he needed for once. I am all for Wasp | Waspinator x Happiness here to be honest

To be quite honest, I feel like Livio was very much a victim in all this... that doesn't make him blameless in the situation but it was very much Chapel who grievously injured Wolfwood enough that he chose to take the double vials, and it was him who manipulated Razlo to be dependent on him and Livio to think serving was his only purpose. That said, there's something very heartwarming about Brad being so upset over Wolfwood's death considering his usual untrusting nature and the fact that he really didn't know him that well.

Livio apologizes for his body stopping the bleeding so soon after getting punched. Buddy. No. 😂😭

I feel so bad for the Plants in all this. However, much as it sucks for humanity, I'm very glad to know they can exert enough influence in order to resist killing their sisters and brother and are able to express their free will in some way... could they have refused commands before this point then? If so, that begs the question of why they didn't.

I bet Milly was pretty instrumental during that period.

Oh, I was thinking in relation to the other games Considering that the major change made in the Lobotomy Family AU is that Raz is found by Cal when he's around 6 months due to a water incident Then it would be reasonable to think that Gristol Malik did go to Loboto for help with his scheme. He would most likely threaten Cal as well as threaten to do something towards Raz. [Similarly to what Cal would do towards Sheegor with Mr. Pokeylope] So it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that the plot could follow similarly to the original games. The biggest difference is Raz, who would very much NOT be someone you could make do your bidding. So I wonder who Gristol would try to trick then, Lily? Or would he still try to trick Raz and become so frustrated that he almost reveals himself as the Gristol. Like "I'm royalty, Listen to me!" While Raz keeps messing with him And if Cal does take the job to help him, then Raz would most likely be left behind, does he ever wonder where his dad disappears to? And does he ever try to follow? Also, Do you know what caused that water incident? Like did something happen to Nona? (And did everyone survive?) And another tangent, in cannon it's implied that Cal has a kid, so does Raz have any siblings? I think Gristol would definitely try his best to trick Raz, but as you said yourself, Raz isn't very easy to trick in the first place. And he does try his best to follow his dad around when he's off doing his scheming and stuff. But no matter how hard he tries, he always gets caught by Crispin. He may be blind as a bat, but you can't get anything past that guy very easily! Raz is very curious, but that's how he is with everything. He just wonders why his dad who shares everything with him hardly talks about his work with him.

As for the water incident, the Aquatos were just victims of circumstance, at the wrong place at the wrong time. As for if everyone, if anyone survived, we'll just have to wait and see 👀

As for the whole Cal having an actual kid, while I'm like 87% sure it's Bobby, for the sake of the au I'm just gonna assume it's the other popular theory that it's just Linda. Which is kind of cute to imagine Linda as an older sister figure to Raz

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SONG. AAAUHHHHH I love it so so much. I'm so glad I tried to read about creepy black before this came out so at least I'm informed - this is probably one of my favorite stories (as a pokepasta) as well mostly because it doesnt try to scare you with jumpscares but through the storytelling, and you actually have to play through the entire game to really understand wtf is happening. it's uncomfortable and unsettling and that's why I love it

okay but I do love how they interpret the characters here, it's a bit different from the original but it adds more charm to it if you will 💥i'm sure i said a lot of things in the rhys post that may repeat itself here but, im really fascinated by the idea of how ghost treats its innocent victims because in the game, we never really got to know what happens because it just cuts to black and its left to interpretation on how ghost "curses" the victims. red - or redwood now, as stated before is now an elderly pokemon professor, not a champion anymore. and he's currently trying to understand the incidents across kanto that has something to do with ghost - i like to think the incident is still ongoing but it has definitely affected the people with massive impact. he's now fortunate to come across the perpetrator, but has to bear witness to how it likes to play around with its victims. part of me thinks that carmine the victim is struggling to get out free, possessed (i cant see his pupils, which tells me he's PROOOBABLY possessed.) he's being treated like a toy so all he can do is just, panic really. be hopeless

the ending of the song is interesting to me because i personally dont know what does the ending mean. it's a jumpscare of carmine and ghost, but what does that entail? did redwood lose - and ghost is ready to take its next victim and use carmine to do it? who knows. i adore it a lot anyways

the song is so good. (listened to the instrumental so many times) i'm not very good at complimenting music but the faint whistle that i hear when the music gets at the meaty part is so fun because it sounds so OOooOoO spooky (ghosts DUH) i love it mwawma. chromatics are very good (however for the longest of time i assumed the deeper voice was for redwood and the raspy voice was for ghost bruhhh so it gave me a funny whiplash while i was playing JDSAKJFKGHSJ)

gameplay wise, i wasn't able to grab any leaks except for just a few seconds of the song so everything from here on out was new to me - the way they introduce ghost and carmine in the black background was so chilling, and i was playing in the dark first time. can you imagine seeing this poor kid float aimlessly in the air? in such a dragged manner and you see the horrifyingly overjoyed ghost just playing... and then red appears. i dont have much to say here i just loved it through and through :DD this song doesnt have much gimmicks but i really like how the arrows occasionally turn transparent which makes it harder for me to notice the arrows (combined with the habit of me wanting to stare at the opponent and the animations so i wouldn't notice the arrows appearing LMAO) i managed to beat this on first try! sure there were a lot of arrow spams but it was super fun nonetheless.

This is the same Nico who demanded the underclassmen to stay as idols because it's important to her, personally. The same Nico who was promised they'd still be idols, even if not as Muse. So nice!

Nico and Maki are quite fiery, Nico overtly so and Maki tries to pretend she isn't, but they are in this particular way that's kinda different from Honoka, who's like magic, anime protag style. Maki is fiery but if she's betrayed she immediately goes back to her mask of too cool for school though. Nico keeps going, letting herself be perceived as pathetic as she might. Eli is in it for the group and doesn't seem to care. So is Nozomi, to an even larger extent, and Muse as a symbol seems to carry a heavier meaning for her. Rin as well, to a lesser extent. Hanayo though, I'd love to see more fire from her. She's pleasant and polite and is not gonna clash with anyone like Maki or Nico do, but personally, she still quietly perseveres. That's the kind of Hanayo I want to see. She can get pushy if she's comfortable though, as we see in the final, final moment of season 2.

Man, at the end of the day, all the onus of the decision falls on Honoka, huh? That's rough buddy.

You know, it's not like Honoka doesn't have character, she does, but the show makes her feel so grand, like she's more of a force of nature than a normal human. I do love her arcs though, she's amazing.

What I'm trying to say is that she's awesome and she does have a personality and things she likes and gets annoyed about, and yet when I think about her it's mostly about how cool and amazing she is and how she's the perfect charisma person who can bring the best out of anyone, everyone's best friend, rather than the way I look at Nico or Maki or Eli or even Rin and Nozomi, which is like "she behaves like this because they have this character trait that makes them make these mistakes or engage in this unoptimal behavior"… Again it's not like Honoka doesn't have that, it's just that she's way more as well. OK NO, IDK WHAT I'M YAPPING ABOUT LMFAO!

YESSSSSSSSS MI BEBE thanks beloved all according to the keikaku. for all intents and purposes i do not have a nickname for connor i just call him connor and i HAVE been accused of crypto hating him before but that's all in the past. this is all said with utmost affection and/or bewilderment.

none. i was a nicojacker since iirc december and then i dilly-dallied for like a Month...

i kept seeing davo referenced in stuff and then I was on a electrumqueen binge and i went Omg.......? so funny to think that nowadays there's more intersection between Chucky/Ekblad than with connor LOL i had no impression whatsoever <3 i followed mostly pens fans and they all either ignored him or apathetically derided him which JUST and FAIR but i was a newbie who knew nothing so i wanted to understand 1) why was he so good 2) why was his particular blandness more infuriating than all the similar blandness i had perused and 3) omg what is UP with edmonton??? I didn't know anything!!! I didn't care about him until i had read like 60 TKNP / NHJH fics and that was kinda it until i got bewitched by BLAAHAJ 💔

short version: the balance doesn't make sense and is overused.

long version: below. might wanna strap in, i don't know how long it is...

⚠️ the following statements are all /lh and are not intended to offend anyone. to anyone currently writing/making something involving the balance, please keep going, i'm sure it'll be great! i'm just getting tired of seeing it over and over again (so i decided to start the revolution /j). ⚠️

first of all, the whole fgod error thing is okay. it's a cute concept – actually, maybe all of the "error's broken and bleeding bones" and "error flung himself into the void to escape it all" is more disturbing than cute, but you get what i mean – and i will respect this. i'm pretty sure that 'healing what has been broken' was the pioneer for destructivedeath and errormare — and this i can acknowledge! i just want to let people know that i am getting tired of seeing the same thing over and over again... which is why i'm writing a rant.

my first gripe with the balance: it exists. the whole shtick with the balance is that it's a limitation of sorts, a rule of thumb for ink and error to follow when they're doing their little multiversal god things. now tell me: if the multiverse/doodle sphere is a representation of the creative activity of the entire fandom...... why does it have a maximum capacity anyway? technically, new things are being created every single second of every single day, so if they were to come into existence at the same time then i think error would be rendered immobile at this point, according to the lore of the fgod au.

it'd be like: "*clenches soul area* aw crap. ink's making another useless au again *drops onto the floor* aw crap and another one *writhes* why the heck are there so many aughhhhhhh"

this leads to my second gripe: in a lot of these kinds of fics it's shown that ink is the creator of all the universes.

now that's fine and dandy, but canonically ink doesn't create shit.

he's the multiversal protector, meaning that he just makes sure they don't die. it's not like he himself made the characters within them suffer (in fact i'm pretty sure he doesn't really care for the people anyway, so the existence of the council is just. clever but strange), that's our fault because we made the au, not him! so really if we want to make error suffer less then we're going to have to leave the fandom for absolute dead or sth,,,,, which at this point is sort of impossible. (personally, i have been stuck here for around five years now and i always come back no matter how hard i try to leave.)

oh and i know that he can make living things like gaster blasters and stuff, but he's still the multiversal protector so that shouldn't mean that he can make whole aus on the spot. and i also know that this is an au in itself, but this is sort of a really important detail i think? i hope nobody's sleeping on this.

a third, sort of minor gripe: the concept of sides is also really strangely handled. ink's little council thing is fun tbh but everyone's such a shallow bitch and it's frustrating (which is sort of the point ig but it's worse when that's how they're portrayed in EVERY. SINGLE. BALANCE. FIC.) and i know that there are insiders like blue and idk fresh ig...... but this isn't a spy mission? just communicate with the other side? nightmare's gang is the only redeemable thing about this au because their dynamics are so cute (and i'm a murder time trio + cross fan so i just think it's neat), but even they're kinda shallow sometimes. and also (thank you for this one kris) i thought that positivity and negativity were meant to coexist? there's absolutely NO reason, NONE, why the council couldn't just. get the other team into the meeting and talk it out with them?! it's so easy to solve your problems?? just use your tiny pea brains a little??? my frickingh god???? like literally all of this could have been solved if y'all just TALKED for once oml.

and now for my fourth, final, and largest gripe of all: IT'S SO OVERUSED. i'm not even talking about the balance itself, the plotlines for this au are all copypastes too! for example, error having to sit down with ink and tell him about the balance? ink getting upset about his ignorance? heard it at least five times, honey. what next, are they going to go and save the multiverse from your oc character who just so happens to be messing with everything? and maybe you'll become friends...... oR sOmEtHinG mOrE?

(great bricks, if i see the phrase 'friends..... or something more????.??.????' one more time i am going to rip myself apart.)

i will acknowledge that there are some original things out there, but most of the premises are still the same. and in most of these ink and the council are absolute jerks for no reason at all. please. please please please i'm so tired. if i see one more thing about error jumping into the void istg i will jump with him. (sorry i ran out of steam here but you get what i mean right? the balance is everywhere!)

anyway tldr: screw the balance. it doesn't make sense and it's been milked to hell and back.

That’s easy, this was something i posted on AO3 a little while ago, it made my heart flip a little bit bc it was one of the first comments I got that was really long (warning a little NSFW):

AND I LOVE IT TOO. The detail makes it obvious that Phin is sensitive to all this touching and groping, and it’s! What! He! Deserves!!!!!

I love how Phil kept teasing him too? LMAO. Using the “~” is usually so wild to me but it really conveys this cooing tone… which, again, Phin fucking DESERVES. Augh!!!!

Well,,,i may have spoiled one on the first question lol but I can throw a little tidbit from the back and forth convo between me and Jac:

“okay. so.

to try and summarize it, Phillip (at the time he was a prince) comes across Phineas who he thinks is an average person during a storm and Phin got injured by dragon hunters (who are a big deal in Phillip’s kingdom) and ofc Phil, being a good person, takes him into his castle for shelter and to make sure he’s well (yes Phil is a sorcerer/wiccan) Phineas, not wanting to share his true identity, tells Phillip he used to be a knight for another kingdom and has spent his days since then wandering and bc Phillip has taken a big interest in Phineas, Phillip appoints him his knight whenever he becomes king lets say his father died a few months beforehand and Phil couldnt be happier 

After the coronation party, when it’s official that Phillip is now king, he finds Phineas half transformed in his bedroom (bc the poor thing got stressed out from the party and saw a lot of people wearing jewelry and armor made from dragon scales)”

Celes’ incredulous expression was frozen in place by shock and surprise.

“There was once an infamous monster who had propagated a disease named “Bloodflower” that was based off of this curse, hence why I am familiar with it.” “I have heard that you had eradicated a pestilence before, Cohgray, but this is—”

Though Celes was hesitant, her friend was not; he was desperate for anything that could help his mother.

“Celes! It… might be a good idea just to try it out. No medicine or nothing has ever helped before…” “But your mother would suffer if this fails. Worst case scenario, it might even lead to her death.” “I’m—cough—I’m fine. It would be better than not trying at all—cough.”

“Yukihisa…”

Arleaf clasps her hands together as if she’s praying. Veno is actually kinda amazing when it comes to times like these. I know he won’t let us down.

‘Yes, recognize mine greatness! I shall have you start worshipping me like the little lass does.’

We coulda ended it there nicely, y’know? Plus, it’s not like it’d be weird for me to be praying to the Lord Holy Dragon anyway… I really did respect you for a bit. But no, now you ruined it.

‘Silence! In any case, you and the lass should join in on the ritual too. If all goes well, it should prove to do good. It shall help the lass with her class advancement as well.’ “Understood.” “... fine. But if I sense it to go awry, please cease at once.” “Okay. It’ll likely react when we try to lift the curse, so just get ready to knock us out of it before things get out of hand.”

One by one, high-leveled mages and priests began to arrive by the request of Celes’ comrade and they soon started the ritual. Arleaf joined in as well. On the other hand, Celes was nervously supervising the situation.

‘Hmm… including the blacksmith, there seems to be quite a few cases of these queer curses and diseases. I cannot help but feel that there is someone or something behind it all.’

You mean, there’s another monster like Elbatoxin around? That’d be a real pain in the ass…

‘Nay… judging by the source of the hex…’

The magic circle begins to glow brightly, interrupting Veno’s thoughts.

“Aughhhhhhh…”

Lying in the middle of the magic circle is the hexed lady, groaning. She places her hand on her chest as black smoke rises out. And then, the smoke turns into light and disappears.

“I-I…”

The lady leaps to her feet, checking over her chest and right arm. Not a single trace was left of the hex.

“I can feel the strength returning to my body!”

As the color and a smile returned to her face, she runs up to her friends and family and embraces them all.

“What on… but… she may be feeling better, but the curse is still…” “Isn’t it the same as slaying the dragon?” “Hmpf… if she is better temporarily…”

What Celes is saying is oddly similar to what Wayne had said before.

‘Hmm… perhaps…’ “What is the meaning of this, Cohgray?”

Ah, Celes wants the truth out of me. I guess I gotta explain it to her. I thought Arleaf was going to tell her, but it’s only natural for her to hesitate telling Celes about Veno. Alright, time to dole out excuses.

“This curse is a form of Dragonfall’s Charge.” “Dragonfall’s Charge?” “Do you recall from the tales regarding a curse that can only be lifted from slaying a dragon? It is the foundation of this one.” “Yes, there are quite a few legends like that, usually with the hero training hard and then going to battle.”

I don’t know any of the legends from this world, but let’s go with it since it’s working.

‘This curse also has many other derivatives. Other monsters may also be targets, not just dragons. Such is the work of cowardly humans.’ “This is something created by mankind a long time ago and actually has little to do with dragons. Rulers of yore wanted the brave and talented to kill monsters and so they employed this curse. After defeating the target, the hex would then be nullified.”

It’s a dirty trick. Almost on the same level as Forced Possession Summoning.

‘Aye. I am disgusted at how humans keep coming with such despicable methods.’ “The method to undo this hex should already be well-known, but it seems to me like this is a new variation.” “Ah… how can I ever thank you?”

The mother comes to thank us with a hug. I return the hug before continuing the explanation.

‘Beware of being cursed again. It comes from—’ “Oh, please don’t worry about it. Whoever witnessed your son’s talents is to blame. It’s not exactly an impossibility, so do be extremely cautious so that you do not get cursed again.” “Of course. Then… what can I do to prevent it?” “Hmm… the curse can be traced to a statue at a church used when changing jobs.” “What?!” “I’m not quite sure who or where, but it seems to affect the family members of whoever prays there.”

It’s works just like a computer virus. And it’s just evil where they put it.

‘Aye, it is certainly similar to your “computer virus” how it is made publicly accessible.’ “However…” “I’m not prohibiting you from praying. I’m saying you should be careful is all. The problem is that the perpetrator could even know that we’ve undone the hex on you. In that case, what worked this time may not work a second time…” ‘That should not be a problem in the immediate future. I have broken the curse in this area. Whoever created this Dragonfall’s Charge must have spent quite some effort to make it so tricky to lift.’

Wouldn’t it be a better idea to prevent everybody from being cursed?

“In any case, this is quite the powerful curse, so defeating the perpetrator might take some time. But, if we quickly spread out, we should be able to stop them.”

I omitted the important bit about Veno.

‘Do not be mistaken that I am all-mighty. If thou wishest to go that far, then we must go to whoever is behind this. It would also be difficult for humans to place the preventative spell.’ “Religion is important. If you have to pray, you should use a personal item that you know you can trust. And if you must change jobs, then I recommend using another religion’s church.” “But…”

Religion is as touchy of a subject as I thought. I get that it’s an important part of spiritual support. That means I gotta reword it more carefully.

“Oh, don’t be mistaken. I’m not telling you to switch religions; it’s important what or who you pray to. The fact that we are visiting must mean that your prayers are being answered. Whoever placed the curse onto the religious symbol is to blame.” “Mom, he’s trying to say that it’s important we catch the bad guy behind this… so let’s just be thankful that you’re better now.”

Her son reassures his very worried mother.

“You’re right. Then let us wholeheartedly welcome you all.” “I appreciate your thoughts, but we have other matters at hand… I’d like to excuse ourselves instead.”

Everybody in the room seems to be dumbfounded at what I had just said.

“But… you lifted this curse for us. Are you saying you are going to leave just like that?”

I guess I’m being a little too generous. Since I’m at the home of someone who’s pretty strong, I’m sure I can ask for a lot of money. But we have goals of our own too. This just so happens to help Arleaf out with job changing. I’m sure there’s something else we can get out of them other than money. The thing is that it’d be pretty distasteful to demand cash from them.

“Yes, I am. Shall we go?”

I suggest to Arleaf, Muu, and Celes we depart.

“Sure, why… not? We were simply dropping by on the way home anyway.” “Muu!” “B-But…” Celes is still pale and shocked. “Please, accept our gratitude.” “In that case, I’ll have you all share how to break this curse so that we help out people who are still under this hex. After all, this is just a cowardly ploy meant to send your son to his death by having him kill an innocent dragon.”

This way, they can infer that Dragonfall’s Charge is still an ongoing problem. With that, I’m sure the victims and heroes can band up to defeat the perpetrator.

“O-Okay, I accept.”

I come and go without even introducing myself. Well, I’m sure they caught Celes throwing my name around. But still, that’s kinda cool, isn’t it? Cool or not, we hop back onto a coach and head home.

‘Definitely the latter. Such thinking is a slow and insidious killer.’

Man, I don’t want to hear that from you, Veno, seeing how you’re always acting so high and mighty.

I’m watching the roommate play persona 4 now and i am enjoying the Weirdness of the characters, the dialogue is generally a lot more fluid now too…but also why is yosuke so homophobic (for what purpose 🧐) also the way kanji and naoto’s stories are covered are a little sus sometimes but overall. Good music and I like the store menu designs :-)

And yeah p4 is...alright! I'm not it's biggest champion, but the characters are fun and it definitely brought up a lot of things ik people now think of as quintessential to the franchise. Yosuke is my best friend who sucks so bad, iirc there was a rumor that he was meant to be a more intimate social link but atlus went so hard on the no homo he ended up being super homophobic fjsjdjsjdb

Naoto and Kanji are two characters I love for what they could have been but not so much what they got fjsjfjsj like... they're fun characters but what the writing team decided to do with them just....aughhhhhhh pain. Agony.

Kanji does hit my specific soft spot trope of 'delinquent who loves soft stuff'... that's my son
