Shouting into the void but I have been thinking about a ‘Faye Lives, but Kratos dies’ style au for Atreus…

Specifically I blame my Atreus cosplay from Halloween week, but in short the concept stems from an Atreus who took more after kratos in hair and eye color, and eventually learns to wield the blades of chaos in order to honor his father- alongside his bowman skills. Something something loosely following gow2018 but they go to Greece, something probably Ragnarök comes to pass alongside some post Ragnarök stuff

Most likely this verse is gonna be tied loosely to the Fawn Bear Wolf Falcon verse, since inherently all my aus fics tend to exist in the same grander universe…. Just parallel realities stuff, though I mean loosely bc the timelines might ultimately converge to some other fic in the future

Y'all be like "I love complex female characters!!!" But hate on Electra

No but it actually pisses me off that y'all looooveeee Clytemnestra and Medea for killing the people who wronged them. But the moment Electra does the same it's wrong, because it's not "evil man wrongs woman, woman kills him" but rather a complex mother-daugther relationship. Clytemnestra is a victim? yes! Does that justify her mistreating her daughters and trying to kill her infant son? NO???? Clytemnestra didn't just kill her (son of a bitch) husband, she killed an innocent woman, she tried killing her son and he had to be send away by another person, she brought a strange man into their home, a man who may I add wanted to kill Electra in fear she may have a son who may try to usurp him, JUST LIKE HIS ASS DID!!! "Oh but Clytemnestra stopped him" yeah BY ISOLATING HER DAUGHTER FROM THE WORLD AND LATER MARRYING HER OFF TO SOME POOR DUDE TO STRIP HEE OF HER TITLES. Like it or not, she allowed her daughter to be abused by that man, it was her responsibility as a mother to protect her children, but she allowed her daughter to be abused bc she hated her husband. Clytemnestra is both, a victim and an abuser.

Wait shut this was supposed to be a rant about Electra, sorry, I just love Clytemnestra.

What I'm trying to say, Electra is not just some ungrateful girl who preferred her murderous dad over her saint of a mother (Also, she did not want to fuck her dad, wtf) But rather a girl who was too young to even remember who or how her dad actually was before he went to war and only knew her vengeful mother.

In Electra's eyes, one day your mother, baby brother and older sister went on a trip for your sister to get married, but only your mother and brother came back, and your mother is an empty shell of who she was, suddenly, this man who hates you and your brother starts coming to your home, and your mom is awfully close to him, YEARS LATER your dad FINALLY comes back, just for your mother and that man to kill him the day he arrives, not only that, but also tries killing your brother, so you sent him away (or make someone else sent him away) for his own protection, now you're alone (unless we follow the version with Chrysothemis in it, but w how much of a doormat she is, you may as well be alone) with a man who hates you and wants you dead, and a mother who does nothing about it and isolates you from the world. And one day you're told you're being married off to a POOR MAN?? You?? Who are a princess?? Suddenly, everything you know is ripped away from you, and now you live in the outside of the city you once were a princess of.

I'd be pretty piss too.

Also, I want it to also be know, I love all the girls from the Atreus family!!! We love complicated gals here!!! <3
