yeah, i agree. i honestly think before tommy was introduced again in 7x03 and the kiss in 7x04 that in my brain, bvddie was the most logical endgame for buck until it wasn’t.

i came into the show shipping bvddie much like a lot of new fans to the show but instead of hopping onto the tommy anti express hate train i found myself falling in love with buck and tommy together. at first i was still on board with bvddie still being endgame but as each episode aired after 7x04 i became faced with the reality of the situation (at least the way i see it) that bvddie might always be fanon and that’s ok because fandom keeps ships alive whether they’re canon or not. some of the biggest ships EVER are non-canon (i mean, cmon spirk? one of the OG MM ships?) so it didn’t really deter me from enjoying bvddie to this day. what HAS deterred me from interacting with bvddie content is toxic bvddies. i don’t like using the lil nicknames, idc if other ppl do, whatever, but i prefer just referring to certain kinds as just toxic plain and simple.

toxic shippers have made it difficult for anyone who multiships to interact with bvddie content. while there are incredibly nice & welcoming bvddie endgamers out there, it doesn’t overshadow the hateful ones in my online experience at least. i’ve blocked so many ppl over this ship discourse, which ive never had to do with any other fandom before the extent i have with 911. everyday i still find new ppl to block, you go under almost any comment section on the 911 insta and its filled with nasty comments abt tommy and only caring abt whether bvddie will be canon in s8. people projecting their hatred of tommy/lou onto the cast/crew of the show when it’s be said and proven time and time again that it’s quite the opposite. now im certain there’s bad apples in the bucktommy side as well, but from what ive seen online so far it is not nearly to the caliber of the bvddie side. ive blocked maybe a handful of bucktommy’s for being hateful towards eddie or being toxic overall, but ive probably blocked over 100+ toxic bvddies. i can only imagine it’d be worse if i was active on 911 twt which i’m not (thank god) but i have ventured into the tags before on there and let me tell you, it’s fucking horrifying how gross ppl are over there. twt is a cesspool for fandom anyways tho, the fucking asshole of fandom, it’s a septic tank really.

now im my own opinion which could be completely untrue of course, but just basing my thoughts on what i’ve seen online and interviews and such, tim seems to be really happy about bucktommy and idk how ppl believe otherwise. tim has expressed he loves LFJ and wanted him back on the show. tim showed up on set for the kiss scene. tim posting an entire youtube vibe abt bucktommy being soulmates that touches on the invisible string theory and explains how they accidentally found buck’s perfect match. tim sharing the deleted tommy scene is also huge but im waiting to see if he releases more (because i remember seen somewhere that he said there’d be more?) and if he does then great but it’s also still pretty telling to me after the whole karaoke fiasco.

oliver has said nothing but praises towards buck’s queer storyline. he quite literally said if you dont like it then watch something else. despite ppl saying he’s never interacted with bucktommy content online, that’s a lie because he has liked fanart of them.

aisha, kenneth & tracie have all expressed how they like tommy/lou and love working with him.

jlh said she loved bvddie before but is excited to see where buck and tommy go and then on an insta live said she doesn’t think bvddie is happening and was bombarded by toxic fans to the point of ending the live early.

ppl think it’s all some ruse to make it seem like bvddie is never happening so when it does happen it’s a “surprise” ……..

the nasty hate comments are doing nothing but exposing these types of ppl for who they are and that honestly to them, 911 is just the bvddie show to them. the people who run these social media accs for 911 are looking at these comments and cringing, they aren’t running to tim and abc being like “we must give these crazies what they want!” they’re mostly likely being ignored or honestly, as you said, being looked at and just reinforcing their decision to most likely make tommy buck’s endgame so as long as his schedule is open for filming.

what gets me the most about the hate these types of shippers spew online is how they aren’t embarrassed because they are so sooo convinced they will be right one day and therefore their insane, nasty behavior online will be justified. oliver stark literally left twt because of fans like this, people act like he was joking around, that he was shooting the shit probably because “he’s british and british people just have that kind of humor” which yes to a certain extent but let me just add these posts to set an example to why if oliver were still on twt he absolutely would not be happy with the way toxic bvddies are acting right now.

oliver (and ryan&other cast too) being positive abt bvddie never meant it was going to be canon of become canon one day. they do not decide these things, whether they believe it should or not. a lot of bvddie shippers come from previous fandoms where queerbaiting was there, where they were made fun of by actors of their ships, by the creators of the show! so i understand the frustration but oliver is not queerbaiting and buck is not a queerbait character when he quite literally is now confirmed bisexual and in a relationship with a man.

he’s just not the “correct” queer to these people. despite headcanons (hell even i hc eddie as queer!!) eddie so far, in canon, is not queer. by the end s7 he is still shown to not be over shannon and ruins his relationship with his son over this. ryan has stated in interviews he sees eddie as heterosexual, possibly pushing this because of the influx of ship discourse, and he’s glad to see a vulnerable and deep friendship that buck and eddie can have as a straight man and a queer man and how important he thinks it is.

every single thing that points to bvddie never going canon is like they’re being shot point blank in the chest. i get it, your ship not becoming canon sucks, but again, that is what fandom is for! shipping has never been about how canon smth is, there is 20k fics out there for bvddie and they aren’t canon. they can turn that into 40k, 100k, 1M if they really wanted to! instead they use their time and energy posting death threats, wishing death upon a gay character, bullying ppl online for enjoying a ship.

meanwhile from what ive seen bucktommys are rolling with goofy ass spy tommy theories created by antis and making jokes for our own fun.

so yes, i agree overall. they truly don’t deserve what they think they do. we didn’t whine and scream for a deleted scene. they did. we got ours without even expecting it and are having fun.

maybe if they behaved better i wouldn’t be so petty abt it. it’s a shame because of how much potential it has, unfortunately it is just not going that way atm. and even if it does one day, it is not because they paraded online with hate, it is because that’s the story tim and the others wanted to write and abc approved it.

All of the “sexy lines” seemed to be in reference to Nic/Pen.

1. Nic reposted a Netflix Italia TikTok that used the “finance, trust fund, 6’5”, blue eyes” sound for a compilation of Colin clips.

2. Barbie, obviously. But there have also been a LOT of social media comments since the pap photos saying Luke is “just Ken” to Nic in a very derogatory way. Not sure if his “I could be the Ken for her…” was planned or him just slipping per usual. I’m thinking it was a slip due to Fallon cutting him off to get to the next line.

3. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy - This is the only one that doesn’t seem to fit, unless it’s a reference to yellow for Pen. Fallon said he added this one so that could be the reason it seems out of place.

4. Luke has often said he likens Colin and Pen to Ross and Rachel. I may be reading too much into it, but this could also be a very well disguised way of saying he needs a break from Nic. It did seem rather forceful.

5. Polin, obviously.

I was quite surprised that out of all the PR tour stops he mentioned Brazil. I’m sure it was so he could post the picture in his stories (great for engagement with tonight’s viewers, though I have to question why he didn’t tag Nic). But this is also when we’ve collectively assumed A went off the rails, cut her hair, and then Luke liked all of her posts dating back to July and took her to SoHo Farmhouse during the short break.

While the picture also doesn’t absolutely confirm the late night walks it does make it seem more likely the stories were true. The Lukola shipping went into overdrive after Brazil so I can’t entirely dismiss the pic being shared now just to placate the fans who feel “betrayed” by the PR tour.

Overall he did well, but that’s because I think he was VERY thoroughly rehearsed. It was smart to mention JB and I’m glad the initial X reports of him not mentioning Nic were wrong.

Okay fuck it yeah I'm making the post idc abt backlash. First of all the hidden agenda fandom doesn't exist anymore so whos even gonna have an issue. But if you do feel called out um. Maybe thats ur problem idk bc I'm not aiming at anyone in particular here.

Anyway long ass ramble abt the tiny dead Hidden Agenda fandom below the cut

This is mainly something I noticed looking through the very limited amount of Hidden Agenda fics on ao3, but it's VERY obvious on there. The vast majority of fics on there are centered on Adam and Finn, which I can understand more since they have an interesting backstory and are well written characters, sure. But then you look at the others and the other characters that are centered are... Riggs and Calvary?

In the actual game ofc Becky and Felicity are the main characters. Both of them not only are pretty objectively interesting characters on their own, and even more so together. On top of this they have the most shipping potential of any two characters in that game, it's literally basically canon, it's not even subtext atp it's literally just text. NO other two characters have that amount of chemistry in the game, and yet there is a noticeable lack of gravey fics in that tag. And I'll stress again bc I know how defensive people got last time I made this kind of observation, I'm not pointing fingers or calling anyone misogynistic/racist/homophobic BUT. but. When the two mcs are women, one of which is poc, and they're implied to be lesbians, and they get sidelined by the fandom despite being the focuses of the game... it's kinda hard not to assume there's some kind of bias there.

And on another point, it's similar when it comes to supporting characters too. In a way I'm disappointed but absolutely not surprised that Adam/Finn is prioritized in fan works over Becky/Felicity, but when characters like Riggs and Calvary are also given more attention than them it becomes way more suspicious to me. Riggs is a fine character, I like him enough and I can see why others might like him more, but wbk he doesn't really have all that much relevance. Calvary is even more confusing bc he basically JUST exists to be a creepy misogynistic asshole and as unlikeable as possible. Thankfully I haven't seen him getting a lot of attention but the fact that I've seen him getting any that isn't entirely negative is... hm...

Now there ARE in fact male characters that can be both relevant and likeable: Tom and Karl. (I talk shit abt Karl bc it's a joke I started with friends, I'm gonna drop that for this post obv bc we're being fr here) these two are pretty obviously more relevant than Riggs or Calvary, they're literally Becky's partners (Tom can even replace Riggs' entire role lmao, and if he's replaced himself it's by Karl) and I'd say they're also both likeable characters on their own too. And yet I'm pretty sure I found maybe one??? fic with them in it? Probably should have mentioned this earlier but yeah, they're both poc.

So like... I feel like it all comes down to what Becky/Felicity/Tom/Karl have in common and then what Adam/Finn/Riggs/Calvary have in common. It strikes me as questionable. But like maybe I'm just an annoying snowflake though idk🤷‍♀️ /s

(HAPPY NEW YEARS BTW!)

I needed to tell this to somebody; Whenever I play games for the first time I tend to stay off of social media until I finish the game to avoid spoilers. It's a solid rule I have that FULL IMMERSION must be set whenever I go through a first playthrough, so none of my own music while playing, no talking about the game to people who could potentially give me spoilers (although if the game is really good i might just..), no searching up ANYTHING, no fanart, no fanfic, no NOTHING.

(spoilers for rdr2 below)

When i was playing rdr2 for the first time, I was on like... chapter 3 somewhere when I was REALLY tempted to go on ao3. I think it was after Blessed Are The Peacemakers (The mission where Arthur gets taken by colm), because I really did love that whole troupe of "Character is so useful that when they get taken by enemies instead of death they're offered a position", and I wanted to see if anyone shared my obsession love for it.

Mind you at this time I DID notice that Arthur looked really off. Like he looked a lot more tired and his eyes were bloodshot in cutscenes, I did notice it. I thought it was because I absolutely SUCKED at taking care of him by forgetting to feed him and let him sleep, so this was my punishment for neglecting him.

"One look" I said. "I'll go on ao3, make my tags SUPER SPECIFIC so i avoid anything spoiling the game, and IMMEDIATELY make my way out after checking 'read later' on any fic that interests me"

I go on ao3... I go to the search page... Curiosity strikes me about what the public think of Arthur and Dutch (NOT BECAUSE I SHIPPED THEM, but because it was pretty obvious they had a father/son relationship and I wanted to know if this was a Hank/Connor situation where people just ignore that), so I search up that specific ship expecting to see darker stuff

The first fic is Amras' Moonshine, Milk, Coffee Liqueur. I look at the tags...

"ARTHUR MORGAN HAS TUBERCULOSIS"

Hence the story of how I was spoiled that arthur morgan had tuberculosis...Are you kidding me.... Are you serious...

Afterwards I had the absolute GALLLL to convince myself it was just some really popular headcanon. I read it, clicked off, and then was like "welp! anyways.. That probably was the fandom's explanation of why their arthurs always look so off like mine. weird plothole but whatever no game is perfect" But deep in my heart I always knew i spoiled myself via an ao3 smut fic

Later on when ur in the doctor's office and getting diagnosed (atp i was SO SURE I had actually spoiled myself...), i was actually so disappointed in myself no joke. Like, i didn't stumble into a comment on social media or some sort of youtube video or nothing. I SPOILED MYSELF ON AO3

Deeply ashamed.... Kinda funny story though definitely the funniest spoiler I've ever gotten

I remember being SOOO mad dude. I didn't even clock WHO i got tb from (I had to search it up after Arthur says he got it from a man he beat to death cus he did that to a LOT of people..) I just knew I had TB and at the time I thought it would be the STUPIDEST way to die. I remember ranting to (unwilling) friends about it

(cue me saying "i heard someone say it i thought it was a joke" to disguise how i actually got spoiled...")

In my head, my whole rant was "Well if he has a disease that can't be cured, there's no point in upgrading or trying to do anything because we know we're going to die anyways" And i proceeded to play through the last 2 chapters with that mindset. like DAMN even when you're helping the natives and them I was like "its okay we'll get a cure soon... just have to wait..."

Little did I know that the inevitability of death and the idea that no matter what arthur did, everything would still turn out poorly was the WHOLE IDEA....

I think the reason it hit me SO HARD is cus this is the first game I've ever played where I have had NO CLUE what it was about. Went in COMPLETELY blind. Like I watched the beginning of DBH until like.. Markus coming out of the junkyard, and I watched TLOU2 until Joel's death. Still have no clue how I ran into TLOU1. With RDR2 I had NO IDEA what the plot was

I remember seeing like a few clips of drunk arthur approaching people and thinking the game was this: Cowboy's gang dies in brutal shootout and he's the only one to survive. He tries to blend into society but being an outlaw his whole life he doesn't know how to, so now the game is about trying to get your honour up and prove you aren't as big and bad as you seem.

In Colter at first I was ALWAYS expecting to come back to the town and see everyone dead. Little did I know.... by like 2 chapters in I'd wanted everyone to live....

Also irrelevant sidenote but I lowk thought that there was no first game since NO ONE talked about it. I thought that RDR2 was just named with a two cus it was cooler. Idk leave me alone

I pour a lot of myself into my ocs, but i think spencer is the oc that has really gotten the most. she is the closest to a self insert i think out of all of them, she shares a lot of my behaviors and such. but she is just so fun for me to talk about (im sorry to lori and aj) and figuring her out has been such a blast.

amara owens [infamous: second son]

MISS AMARA CELESTE OWENS. I've had her for as long as i've had the fc5 clowns, or maybe even longer. Amara is an oc that makes me really happy. for a while, i never knew where i wanted to put her; i tried making her a multifandom oc but it just didn't feel right. then i played infamous: second son and it felt like everything just clicked with her. she's one of my most important ocs, no one else have i played the same game 6 times for.

marian ramos de-león [red dead redemption 2]

ms marian is also one of my oldest ocs, she's a little younger than the fc5 clowns, but she's also one of my favorites. she's another really fun character for me to think about. it was so fun to play the game and know exactly where she would be and what she would say. while i haven't done much with her canon or sadie au, making this new, spooky au for her was some of the most fun i've ever had with an oc. using concepts that i've always been a fan of but never really used has been so fun and it all clicks so well with marian

sylvie green [call of duty: modern warfare 2019]

my child whom i share custody of with lori. she has been one of my favorites for almost a year now, another one that has helped me figure out some stuff about myself, and like spencer she truly did grab onto my brain and has not let go. i never thought i'd make an oc for cod, let alone like,,,22 including side characters. half the fun has been getting to bounce ideas off of lori, and sylvie is absolutely one of those ideas. most things about her-- her name, her face, her backstory, even her ship-- are all lori's amazing ideas and i am so happy to have both of them in my life.

jackie castillo [marvel]

more of lori's influence, seeing them talk about Asra and the rest of their marvel ocs made me want to make my own. Jackie is still a bit of a wip, but i love her all the same and i really do need to do some development on her.

blake liu [marvel]

my other marvel girlie. even more of lori's influence. Riri's roommate turned fellow kidnappee turned girlfriend. Asra's adopted daughter. Blake is so many things but everything clicks so well for her. another one i need to develop more, but i am so happy to have her as well.

thalia [assassin's creed: odyssey/origins]

thalia's some kind of phoenix-rising-from-the-ashes deal, but in a like, i scrapped one oc and made her. when i was overhauling Amara, i decided her assassin's creed au didn't really work, but i wanted an oc for odyssey so bad; so enter Thalia. she's one of my more stick in the mud characters but i still love her a lot.

elenore parker [far cry 5]

you all knew she'd be here. the blueprint. the very first clown. the batshit insane queen herself. the reason i made this blog. Elle has been through a lot. and i've been through a lot at the same time. she's been there for me as a creative outlet through a lot of bullshit and i am so thankful for her. making her let me deal with some of my own trauma in a way. she's one of the only ocs that i shove into different ships and aus, and every one just works so well for her. she's gotten a bit of an overhaul recently and i'm even more happy with her now.

emily parker [far cry 5]

i can't talk about Elle without Emily. Emily is also a very self inserty character but she's also someone i wish i could be somehow. I don't lean on her as much as i lean on Elle, but i enjoy messing with her every time i do. she's an older oc, but there's still things that are up in the air about her namely if i will ever commit to shipping her with Wheaty.

margo seed [far cry 5]

Margaret Elizabeth Seed, the only oc i have argued with someone about. she was the very first ship kid, such a commanding presence; ever since making her it almost felt like she made herself if that made sense? another one that things just really clicked with; she's also my first aroace oc, and that has become very important to me. she stands on her own, she's another one that i want to be like when i grow up.

daniel seed [far cry 5]

the second ship kid. Daniel almost didn't exist, but i decided Margo could benefit from a narrative foil of sorts. he was a bit of a hassle, he was my first male oc and as such i couldn't land on a face claim for the longest time which was really frustrating for me. he and Margo are both such fun characters to write for, i love how i've managed to make them so similar and so different at the same time.

warren armstrong [far cry 5]

Warren was made at the same time, or close to the same time, as Daniel. he's the first oc that I have actually come up with a family for though, and that has become somewhat of a trend because of him. Warren took a second to really figure out, but he fits in so well with the twins and their shenanigans once i did. I don't talk about him nearly as much as i should, but he is also one of my favorites.

ines cousland [dragon age origins]

I have a lot of violent or manipulative ocs (i think, at least), but none of them are on the level that Ines is. Ines walks around with a sort of chip on her shoulder about the world she lives in. she's composed and calculating and power hungry. she makes a lot of cruel and sort of impulsive decisions as a warden, but she is always one step ahead of those that challenge her. she knows she has enemies and she will stop at nothing to ruin their lives just for the fun of it. she's also incredibly ambitious as well; she wanted to be one of, if not the most, powerful people in Thedas, and she would stop at nothing to get herself there.

rhea dawn [fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood]

Rhea is not nearly as malicious as Ines is but she has her moments. she's not technically a villain, but she's also not really going out of her way to help the heroes either. she's never really had any second thoughts about her actions, she will take her own side before anyone else's. she knows she's one of the most powerful alchemists in the world, and if that inspires some fear then so be it.

levi choi [call of duty: modern warfare 2019]

he has to be here, but he's not really that mean compared to the two above. Levi's that friend that is always brutally honest, the one that you just want to fight sometimes because of it. he's not afraid to say what he thinks, he never writes a check that his ass can't cash, and you will hear about it if you piss him or his friends off.

Mel is another oc that got somewhat of an overhaul. when hbo tlou came out, i decided i didn't like the direction i went with her, so i scrapped it and started over. she turned out a lot softer this time, being reworked to be one of the friendliest faces of Jackson now. she is a bit more of a background character now because of her role in the universe, but i think that works out better for her.

amara owens [infamous: second son]

my favorite daughter here once again. Amara is one of the softer characters in the main cast of second son but that's not to say she's a pushover either. she would do anything for her friends, she would give anything to help a stranger. she's just one of those ocs that radiates a lot of positive energy and light.

kennedy ryder [mass effect: andromeda]

another one that's soft but is not a pushover. Kennedy would do anything to help anyone in need, but she will not let her kindness be taken advantage of by anyone. she's seen a lot, she's been through a lot, but she doesn't let it get to her. she's also the resident optimist of the gang, which can be a blessing and a curse.

nettie hayes [red dead redemption 2]

nettie, however, is too soft for her own good. maybe. she's the most optimistic oc of mine, always has her rose colored glasses on. in her mind, her world is a lot more idyllic than it is. she is a bit of a pushover as well; she can recognize when she's being screwed over but she won't do anything about it. she wears her heart on her sleeve and is probably the most sensitive of my ocs

she's quiet, she keeps to herself, she doesn't say much. Arden's not like this because of something that's happened to her, i think you could say; moreso, it's her line of work that made her like this. hanan shepard [mass effect]

another knowledge sponge, Hanan loves to learn about anything she can get her hands on. ship engineering, biotics, alien languages-- Hanan will find something new to learn whenever she can. and she will not hesitate to info dump on the nearest person.

andy kwan [tomb raider]

Andy! another incredibly bright mind. she's working on her masters in ecosystems ecology for much of the tomb raider shenanigans, and she uses these trips for her own personal research. she's not quite on the 'learning something new just for shits and gigs,' but that does not stop her from constantly taking in some knowledge somehow

Hey I just wanted to acknowledge this recent Tumblr scam that's been surfacing around almost everywhere atp

It's the FedEx/Amazon/whatever job scam. You'll see these normal looking Tumblr accounts that are promoting working at some popular company with good benefits specifically from home. They pay you well and they want to hire those in a vulnerable state for the good of them/j. This is an example of one of these scammers:

The scammer wants to make you feel acknowledged and wants you to feel like they're a nice and considerate person that really wants to employ you!

But then you realize that no company would post on Tumbler in such a non professional manner (i.e formal language and more info on the matter) and even if they would they wouldn't use a Tumblr without their company name and with an image of a duck..

I dug a little deeper into this account specifically because I couldn't find the other one I've been getting on my feed (all I know is that it has a doofenschmirtz profile picture) and noticed a pattern in their posting. They post a meme and then post themselves asking for you to work for them:

And everytime they post asking for someone to work for them they just copy paste it except for the couple times where they specificy that it is for USA only.

This is a bot trained to avoid getting spotted as a bot by posting memes and then posting their scams. Not only that but their username seems to be artificially generated.

They also use almost the exact same tags as in their meme posts because you're probably already following one or more of them, which makes it more probable for them to appear on your feed and potentially trick you.

I also clicked on the link that have listed (DONT DO THIS WITH RANDOM LINKS YOU SEE ON THE INTERNET!!) to see where they'd take you.

Ah, yes, totally real website... I'm joking of course. They're not taking you straight to their info page because they don't have an actual info page. They just want to lure you deeper and deeper till you get a virus. Or, there is something much more deeper at play.

I didn't delve in more because I didn't want anything malicious to enter my phone but I've seen similar things to this before; people hire you for a popular company and then ask you to take boxes for them and ship them someplace else.

They do this by pretending to be the company, for example Amazon, and scam someone into buying something from them wether that be through a fake site or a sketchy ad (Just to note they might be pretending to be an entire other company than the one you believe they are) then they ask for something like money, gift cards, etc and that the victim mails it to "Them". But instead of the company it's the person hired as their "Mule" that receives the package and then sends it off to some other country believing it's a buyer from Amazon.

Why do they need a mule? Because most likely they're from a different country if not continent, but these days many people are suspicious if Amazon from America wants their victim to send it to a different country. So to solve that problem they have a mule. Or the scammers already are in the USA but don't want the packages sent directly into their base in case someone calls the cops on them, so they hire a mule to take the hit.

All in all, just report these accounts if you see them and spread awareness to everyone!!!
