Being on Rublev’s team must be so nerve wracking. 7 set points missed. It’s so awful.

[Late Post] ATP F D SF: Rajeev Ram/Joe Salisbury [1] def. Wesley Koolhof/Neal Skupski [2] 7-6(7), 6-4 Match Stats

Ramsbury was slightly better, especially when nailing the critical moments. While they were a bit behind about the second serves, they nailed the edge when it mattered, considering how equal both pairs were, and they did.
Service game-wise, Ramsbury was slightly more solid in the first set by leading 2% of their first serves winning percentage compared to Koolski (80% to 78%), strengthened by scoring 6 aces. On the other hand, Koolski slightly led their second serves winning percentage by 3%, leading 61% to Ramsbury's 58%. However, Ramsbury's service game looked cleaner by never double-faulting throughout the match.
The return games were the most important aspect of the match. While both players converted the same rate of break points (50%), it was Ramsbury who took the initiative the most. Raj's swift returns, combined with Joe's quick hands at the net, were proven to be one of the most effective combinations when they paced right. However, while it also was the case between Neal & Wes, it indeed boiled down to the final execution of the points: one slight error, and they could cost the whole match and rhythm, even at the slightest edge, on close matches like these.
In the finals, Ramsbury will face the winner between Harri Heliovaara/Lloyd Glasspool or Mate Pavic/Nikola Mektic, which will start the night session of the day. This match should really have a fascinating flow; however, knowing where Heliovaara/Glasspool came from until this stage, it would look sweet if they made it through, regardless of the outcome. But we will see.
