Out of all of the people The Ghost King Phantom expected to relate to, it definitely wasn’t the scrawny red headed photographer of the Daily Planet. Jimmy Olsen has gotten so many temporary superpowers over his time being Superman’s friend. Hell, he once gained a 4th dimensional being’s reality warping abilities when he was given said dimensional being’s powers during a fight. Sure there’s a dozen or so heroes with the same amount of powers he has, but none as suddenly granted to them as a all powerful god that can relate to a teenager.

I wish there were more characters that just didn’t have a love interest. At least a few should be blatantly asexual and/or aromantic but not having a romantic inclination is fine too, personally.

Guys, I am going insane.

So you know the "stab me" scene? That one? So Ed is teaching Stede to sword fight...but not really, he's using it as an excuse to be flirty. And then of course Stede stabs him and that's that.

Guys. Guys.

This is Ed trying to protect Stede. He knows Stede isn't a strong fighter, Stede can't do actual sword fighting for shit. But what does Stede have? His one advantage against an opponent? He's resilent as fuck. High pain tolerance. He can take things most other people can't and keep on kicking. Sword in his gut? No problem.

Ed knows this, Stede got fucking stabbed and hung and somehow recovered fine. Ed knows Stede is kind of a fucking tank. So what's the best way to protect him? Ed teaches him how to survive getting stabbed without damaging his vital bits (kind of). And it works! Because Stede does suck at sword fighting, but he wins by getting stabbed! Like Ed taught him!

Ed understands Stede's weaknesses better than Stede does, but he also understands what Stede is good at and how to use it. Ed trying to keep his boyfriend alive, we love to see it.
