yet another funeral trap release, finishing up the album trilogy.

I'm considering maybe taking a little break from this sound. I've noticed that I'm not playing the guitar that often anymore, so I'm thinking of maybe writing some more guitar-centric stuff. And I don't mean like shredding or something. I'm thinking of something like ambient music or atmo black metal (without 808s). But we'll see, I still very much like this sound

#my ârt #crush depth #crush depth spoilers #fnaf #tw blood #tw drowning #idk how many others apply #anyways this is midnight crow coming out of the shadow realm to scream at you #first of all a cs ramble is on the way I'm still recovering from that fic too #im biting you naff im biting you so dang hard #I don't even know much about iron lung besides watching a play through but damn do you make me want to know more #just. where do I even start. the atmosphere is established so well and even though there was such a small space to work with I FELT it #I felt the claustrophobia I felt the walls and the console and the single dim lightbulb as my only solace in this death trap #the THOUGHTS #poor yn had so much time to just get lost in their head and spiral pretty much constantly #the dread. the constant overhanging dread of knowing there's a 99% chance they're not getting out of there alive and at this point #they just want to accept it and let it end bc there's hardly anything to go back to if they live #naff. look at me. reading some parts made my chest actually tighten with dread. it was so well done.#this poor human just buried in existential horror and just wanting it to end in a slightly less painful way #and the unknowable beings trapped outside who absolutely REFUSE to let that happen #god those eldritch fish were trying their hardest but just couldn't get in #yn was trapped inside while they were trapped outside and I just #I am EXPLODING the more I think about it #thinking about when they thought they were drowning and tried to breathe again #wanting to die but still having that instinct to survive #asking to be ripped apart but still cherishing their last breath of air #I'm shaking you I'm shaking you I'm dying on the floor #ough.#I'll never mentally recover from this and I want you to know I genuinely get inspired by your writing #this has been midnight crow ramblings. Alright, first off: I'm horrid at explaining my thoughts cohesively in words, so this is gonna have a lot of me scribbling, yelling, and virtually shaking you back and forth, but just bare with me here as I commit crimes against linguistics...

HE'S SUCH A PRICK. A GENUINE PRICK, SUCH A FRIKIN THORN UP THE ASS I HATE LOVE HIM SO DAMN MUCH. Smug asshole probably was cited in the definition of the word "jerk", he's just sooo,,,, HHHHGRGG- Exactly the type of character where you love him, but you still cheer when karma comes around the corner and serves him 5 star yelped review can of "whoopass to the face" y'know???? Sometimes he deserves it, sometimes he doesn't, but either way you feel god awful when he shows vulnerability or starts feeling regret.. To a point where it almost feels that subconsciously, I'd rather he be a one dimensional villain type character just to avoid him being hurt? If that makes sense?

He's somehow such an asshole, but such an endearing one at the same time?? His dialogue delivery is so comedic in a way where it seems like he's severely lacking self awareness, but because of who he is you can't tell if he's doing that on purpose to get a rise out of someone gaghhh- The king, the master, and seasoned veteran of "Holy Crap You Should Not Have Said That To Their Face"

But he's also so sad?? The way you watch as former close associates lose trust in him as the story progresses, his realization of said fact, the trauma he sustains from having his mind be exposed/controlled multiple times over, watching as even Optimus turns his back on him, that whole Tarantulas fiasco, etc. etc. It really hurts watching his slow, meandering descent into isolation

He makes me want to aggressively throw him on a couch using a trebuchet before layering him in cozy blankets, the number of which would rival the princess and the pea's mattress count- I just,,, desperately want him to catch a break and relax a bit,,,,,

but also it'd be really funny if someone bolted his table into the floor. I'm just saying......

(Hopefully that was cohesive enough? I dunno maybe my memory is a bit warped and my perception of him is all wonky? It's been a hot minute since I've read the earlier IDW comics skdfks- Either way, agree or disagree, these be my thoughts on him.. minus all the cut out aggressive screaming and table pounding)

#if you trace back the origin of every insult available in every language/ Prowl was probably the subject at some point in it's evolution #he'd probably say “Elementary my dear Watson” to Sherlock Holmes #he gives me both Jason Todd vibes and that atmospheric vibe of the rainy mouse trap exhibition scene in Ratatouille #if it isn't clear enough I like him a lot but would also introduce him to the Top Gear Toyota Hillux experiment #love the bonafide asshole..#long text #ask #random rambles

#drop #feeling immensely nostalgic for pre isat release days... i only got into it in like mid 2023 and never participated in the fandom #but it was so fun to theorize #and sasasap brings out a very Particular kind of illness within me.#isat is obv the better game and i love it (obviously) but every time i think about sasasap for just 1 second i explode.#just. auuuogh. i love the atmosphere of it. i love how you can tell there were things before the loops but it doesn't feel like it #i love how you're just. thrown into it. you're not ready. you're never ready.#i really love how sasasap (though probably unintentionally) tells its story by Not telling you things #and only doing offhand mentions when it does. because it doesn't matter to this siffrin #like... the way the ability to choose where they loop back is mentioned vaguely once #and again!!@!! thw fuckig atmosphere!!!#it's so stifling!!!! you feel so trapped!!! everything feels so small!!!!!#and with things like the unskippable dialogue (like it or hate it) it really all just feels so miserable to get through. in a good way #and the lack of guidance. it's nowhere near as obvious in sasasap if you're doing a certain route #and there's so many rooms you just can't go in. you don't even know what's in them #and siffrin probably doesn't either. all they remember is that they marked that off for the sake of walking to their death a little bit #faster #just. auogh. sasasap. god

#.rtf #i'm only 2 arcs into higurashi (started tatarigoroshi yesterday) but dear god i wish it wasn't so hard to recommend.#on one hand. the atmosphere? the mystery? the horror? the way the initial lighthearted tone collapses into tension and dread?#the themes of unity and alienation and fate and the consequences of miscommunication as well as the spectre of japanese nationalism?#all so brilliant. showstopping. incredible. already doing so much to my brain chemistry #but it's also a saw trap where you have to wade through so many ''''funny'''' perv pandering scenes with these literal children to get it.#it's worse knowing r07 is a former social worker with some strong thoughts on child abuse he put into his own work bc like.#self-awareness? can we PLEASE spare some self-awareness sir?
