🌊WELCOME TO THE DEPTHS OF THE LOST CITY OF ATLANTIS!...🌊
...Don't you drown just yet.
Tumblr media
WHAT IS THIS AU ALL ABOUT?
So, it's a TADC AU where C&A is a research team that aims to find the lost world of Atlantis, with some VERY sketchy stuff happening along the way. Pomni, who just got recruited into the team, goes off alongside Ragatha, Jax, Gangle, Zooble, and Kinger to adventure in the depths of the seas! Only to eventually end up STUCK in Atlantis after a total collision force with its underwater caverns, with no way to get back up without running out of oxygen. Caine (Atlantis' guardian) was originally SUPPOSED to have a good eye on the city he was meant to protect... only to have no other option but to send off the crew into small expeditions in hopes of getting them out one day
Each of the expeditions Caine puts them is an ocean-version of the already existing canon adventures, for example;
The Candy Kingdom from episode 2 is a coral reef, the haunted mansion from episode 3 is a sunken ship, and Spudsy's from episode 4 is a seafood restaurant instead of a fast-food one!
By the way, forgot to mention! The only canon ship on this AU is Kinger x Queenie, and yet it DOESN'T MEAN that whatever ships that I or even YOU do are not welcome. I'm a multishipper so- GO COMPLETELY WILD WITH IT, I WANNA SEE SHIP ART FROM LEFT AND RIGHT! As long as it's nothing between Pomni and Kinger... yuck.
Also no NSFW, please. Thank you.

Belle's NOTE
đŸ©·âCredits to @paper-fowl for both the abstraction designs and the profile's background @spyderlondon for the profile's writing, and both for lending such big hands in helping me make this AU possible! SERIOUSLY! I had so much fun making all of this, even when I originally had such low hopes of completing as much as I did with your guy's help. Truthfully, thank you two and the Showtime server for listening to my ideas! You guys are amazing! đŸ©·â

Not to be all 'back in my day' but I think the problem with TV today is that shows don't get 100-200 episodes anymore.

Hey! I've been curious, are there any extranormal sports?
Oh, great question. Never was a sports guy myself, despite growing up in football-obsessed Virginia. Most extranormal folks like a lot of mundane sports (there’s been a few semi-famous professional athletes who were lycan or what have you) but there’s a few unique to or famous in the extranormal community.
Yellow Circle folks have this game with three teams and three “balls” that’s a little like basketball mixed with hockey. It’s infamously a contact sport and also completely underwater. It’s a little hard to spectate, much less participate - you pretty much have to be a certain way into your “development” as a Circle member. I also wouldn’t recommend spectating unless you’re already used to nonstandard spatial forms. I can’t pronounce what it’s called in the Circle tongue, but it translates to “Returning The Eyes To The Empty Below”, or colloquially “Eyeball.” Fun fact - it’s actually adapted from an Atlantean sport. They’re similar enough that two teams could hypothetically play together without much changing of rules, but the two styles have extremely proud traditions and have horrible arguments over which style is best. Think American Vs Canadian football.
Fae don’t have a sport, I think, but they do play this incredibly complex board game via messenger butterfly that can take years, sometimes generations.
I hear younger wizards play something called “Valorant” and they take it incredibly seriously but I wouldn’t know about it.

I think Carson should be a ghost that haunts Atlantis and the team. Not maliciously or anything, I just think it would be very fun to have him continuing to look after his people and being very limited in his ability to help (I have THOUGHTS about how ghosts should work in Stargate, and he should be able to interact with his environment through the absorption of electricity, allowing him to, say, trip someone sneaking up on the team) and just get his thoughts on everything that happens after his death (including, of course, his clone)

On one hand, there are a lot of things in Titans (1999) that are not that great but, on the other, I do think this comic is one of my favorites when it comes to the dynamic of the fab five and their relationship with each other (the moment when all of them are dreaming and stuck is theirs younger self for example).
Also this comic is the one who made me want to read more of Roy. He is genuinely great in it. So I think that's a plus.

Who ever was responsible for Stargate Advertising in form of Games really missed out on the opportunity to make a Survival-Horror-Game based on Stargate Atlantis Season 3 Episode 19 "Vengeance"
I absolutely hate the idea of playing survival horror games but I would play that

Atlantis one-shot preview.
Nights at the Old Ebbitt, the sort of outing that were once such a rarity for a man who prided himself on his military discipline and lack of vice, were rapidly becoming an ever more frequent indulgence for Lyle Rourke. An agreeable relationship with its owner-in no small part due to the rather generous sums the former commander enjoyed spending at his venue in recent months-had earned him his own personal nook nestled away from the bar’s main thoroughfare, hidden to both the prying eyes and affable attempts at conversation of the affluent socialites which had so plagued his early days there.
The old adventurer nursed a glass of gin rickey in one calloused hand. The contents swished back and forth as he tilted it, briefly seeing a flash of his distorted face reflected back at him. There were deeper lines now where there had not been. Where once there had been only gray, streaks of white had now begun to show through. A perpetual frown had molded Rourke’s features into a severe mask that refused to be cast off.
“Enjoying yourself?” a sultry voice queried.
Rourke looked up to find a familiar face watching intently in the seat across from him. Dark green eyes assessed him amusingly as he shakily placed his glass down. Long blonde hair fell freely over both shoulders, with an achingly familiar black dress hugging the woman’s frame as if it had been made especially for her-its right strap slipping characteristically like it had always done, ever since the very first time he’d seen her in it.
     “H-Helga?” Rourke swallowed, dazed.
“Who else?” she replied, gloved hands crossing over the table as she leaned forward to grin wolfishly at him.
“No you’re, you’re not here. You can’t be
” Rourke stammered, slowly regaining his composure.
“What if I am? What if I did climb out of that fiery hell pit and bided my time, waiting for the right chance to take my revenge for what you did to me all those years ago?”
Now that Rourke looked at her better, it was clear-she looked exactly the same as she did in 1914. Just his mind playing tricks on him?.
“You’re not real,” he muttered softly.
     “Maybe, maybe not.”
“Why haunt me now?” Rourke demanded desperately. “I’ve
I’ve spent so long regretting what I did, trying to forget-”
“Deep down, you know you don’t regret it. And I won’t let you forget.”
The warmth in Helga’s gaze had dimmed, her eyes flitting over his features as she appraised him coolly. After several loud heartbeats of silence she continued.
“Something I’ve been meaning to ask: did you ever find someone who could replace me?”
Rourke felt his blood go cold.
     “I did
try.” his throat bobbed nervously. “There were a few
 over the years.”
Helga spread her gloved hands in a receptive gesture.
“We’ve got time,” she replied evenly.
     Rourke nodded, sipping his drink.
     “Alright.”

In my SGA watch-through I finished "The Intruder" and then jumped ahead to season 4 (bc i missed Carter and Todd) so I'm back to continue season 2 now. I picked up with "Runner" and WOW this is a really good episode!?
First of all, I always forget that Lorne is such a sassy bitch. Right out of the gate he has NO patience for science of any flavor (a position he theoretically holds constant on through "Remnants"). (There's also a scene at about 5 min, where Sheppard runs up a few steps before turning to talk to Caldwell, just so he can have the high ground on their confrontation and I love it.)
But there is so much in here I never really paid attention to before that sets up Ford and Ronon as narrative foils. Ford is fleeing his friends in search of Wraith. Ronon is fleeing the Wraith in search of friends. Ford is alone to protect himself; Ronon forgoes the company of others to protect them. Ford is so utterly convinced of his own correctness in his theory of persecution he doesn't actually hear a thing McKay says to him, while Ronon (who has actually been persecuted) is so eager to believe everything Sheppard and Teyla tell him that he actually gives them a chance. Ford is obsessed with the shortcut advantage of the enzyme giving him increased strength and wants to use it to "create a whole army of supermen"; Ronon has fantastic strength and combat abilities he got the hard way. Ford says getting the enzyme is "the best thing that ever happened to me"; the next scene is Ronon having a flashback to when not-quite-dying of Wraith was the worst day of his life. Ford accuses McKay of giving up on his friends when it seems rather obvious that Ford is the one who has given up on letting his friends help him; and then Ronon, having just undergone surgery without anesthesia where he allowed someone to help him, tackles Ford to the ground because he's not going to give up on these people he just met.
In the end of the episode though, both Ford and Ronon are unable to return home.

You know what I want more than anything? A crossover between Stargate and Horizon Forbidden West. Does it make sense? No. But I WANT IT SO BAD

đŸ€”
đŸ€” What’s a story you’d love to write but haven’t even started yet?
Right, so instead of Sheppard taking the killing shot on Kolya when they play who-can-draw-faster with their pistols, he only wounds him. Then he turns him over to Todd...
I'm obsessed with Sheppard's dark side and think both Kolya and Todd threaten to bring it out of him to a greater extent than we see anyone else manage. I want him to feel simultaneously guilty and relieved and powerful and disgusting and wrathful.
The exact details of how he would get it past his team and if I'd include him dealing with what he'd done in the aftermath are still to be worked out. There's also the striking prospect of Todd attempting to lure him into participating in Kolya's torture and whether Sheppard does so or not...

On the last episode of season 2 and it's truly driving home how *much* Clone Carson diverges from OG Carson, because Carson is afraid of this wraith. He's nervous and placating and just all around skittish. Clearly, Clone Carson's experience of being a prisoner for two years and dealing with various other wraith bullshit made him really fucking brave when it came to the wraith. (That and having a compound in his system that could kill any wraith that tried to feed on him certainly didn't hurt)
