This was so so beautiful, I cried multiple times (just like everyone else I could see), we had Bryan Konietzko introducing it, Jeremy Zuckerman closing it, and a special extra song at the end!! I think that was the first time secret tunnel had been played by an orchestra and sung by hundreds of people at once (apart from that concert in the Toph comic lol)

So I'm rewatching atla rn and I just need y'all to appreciate this 30 second scene because I haven't heard many people talk about it:

It's just so peaceful and serene and I just love the thought that even though there's war going on, there's Iroh and a bunch of other older generals who might not exactly want to be a part of this war and kill people either can appreciate a bit of music and dancing every now and then. I'm sad that there isn't a longer version of this song but at least we have this bit. I mean yes, Leaves From The Vine is very meaningful and beautiful and we all jam out to Secret Tunnel, but we must not forget the beauty of Winter Spring Summer and Fall either!

After 15+ odd years of waiting, as of today, we finally have an official OST release for the music of Avatar - at least for Book 1!

I’m very much hoping that this means we will eventually be getting official releases of the music for Book 2 & 3 as well - I think the music from Book 2 (which is my favorite season) is what I’m looking forward to most. As a kid, I used to love just listening to the background music from The Burning Earth video game for hours on my Nintendo DS since there wasn’t an official version of the the OST out, so this is definitely an upgrade lol.

I also hope that this means we will someday get an official OST release of Books 2-4 of LoK, because I absolutely need to have Service and Sacrifice from Book 3 + the Book 4 finale version of the show’s ending theme (bc Korrasami!!) available to listen to on my Spotify playlist.

I’m assuming once the Netflix AtLA adaptation drops, we’ll probably get that album fairly soon as well, which I’m also looking forward to. Based on the teaser trailer, it sounds like they’re going to do Jeremy Zuckerman’s original score justice.

The musical themes of Avatar are just so important and add so much to the already rich world, characters, and overall story. And I can’t believe that now, we finally have a full, re-recorded version with an actual orchestra! I’m just so excited to dive into this album today.

My first encounter with A:TLA was after piano lessons one day, as I passed by the TV my teacher's kids were watching.

Years later, during my time studying abroad, I came across the show again and decided to watch it. A:TLA soon became my comfort show, welcoming me home after long, tiring days. My time abroad was difficult for many reasons, but thanks to this wonderful show, I was able to find comfort, peace, and joy in the midst of the struggle.

The new live action will definitely tell A:TLA's story in a different way, but I pray that it will keep the same spirit that has changed so many lives, including mine.
