Athena Designs!! :)
Well my brain wouldn't leave me alone about this until i drew it so here's my Athena designs from her birth to Rome!
Inspired by this post by @literallyjusttoa! Go check it out, it's amazing and a lot better than mine because they definitely did more research 🤣 my timeline is just kinda headcanony and i don't know the exact times so sorry about that (also i hope it's ok that i took inspiration from your Apollo drawings!)
Birth
Athena is born and Zeus sends her to go live with Triton and his daughters at Lake Tritonis.
Childhood
Athena (in my head) takes a younger form in her childhood to be closer in age to her adoptive sister and best friend, Pallas. In my head she's pretty cheerful and sometimes seems like she doesn't know what she's doing but is actually really smart (she's the goddess of wisdom what did you expect) and will insult the hades out of anyone who says anything bad about Triton or her sisters
Teen Years
Athena starts training with a spear, learning from Triton and sparring with Pallas every day. The two of them like to goof off and sneak into places that they aren't supposed to go together :)
Return To Olympus
Athena is accepted back to Olympus after she accidentally kills Pallas in a sparring match (WHICH WAS ZEUS'S FAULT AND I HATE HIM SO MUCH) and some of her temples and statues are built.
Founding Of Athens
Athena and Poseidon compete to be the patron god of Athens (and Athena wins >:D), the Parthenon is built, and she meets Nyctimene (her owl.)
Trojan War
Athena is gifted the Aegis and the Trojan War happens. I imagine she'd also have this same design through the Odyssey.
Late Greece/Arachne
The contest with Arachne happens (in my head Athena and Arachne were friends and Zeus forced the weaving contest because having a mortal be better at weaving than Athena was bad for his reputation but anyways) and Athena notices tensions rising with Rome, but when she brings it up to Zeus he's like "I tHiNk YoU'rE oVeRrEaCtInG rOmE iSn'T a PrObLeM" (can you tell i hate him lol)
Fall Of Greece
Athena is one of the most heavily affected by Rome taking over Greece, as she loved Greece and its people, acting generally friendlier to them than most of the other gods. Though she is used to having to hide her emotions, and so doesn't seem too sad on the surface, the other gods can tell she's at least distracted most of the time.
Rome
Eventually, Athena accepts the fall of Greece, taking Rome as a new start, letting her emotions come through more, and wearing a blue toga. (she wore blue as a kid if you noticed :D) She tries to use her powers and status to help the mortals, and is seen as a role model for many of them.

My actual favorite part of wisdom saga is telemachus trying to lean against Athena (he thought about that for .03 seconds and then was like nah !!! :D she's my friend not the goddess of war!!! Good to see that the audacity is running strong in odysseus's family) and then just passed threw her and fell on the floor. And then Athena did not move at all!!! And just stood there looking at him.

me whenever i see people write off annabeth as an annoying and controlling and crazily jealous girlfriend with anger issues. understanding that the foundation of the rhetoric is based off of annabeth's behavior toward percy and rachel is tbotl and tlo. except annabeth's behavior in those books is soley due to the surplus amount of traumatic experiences she's had. ranging from her parents neglecting to care for her well-being when spiders attacked her in the middle of the night as a seven-year-old. to watching everyone she's ever dared to care for die, abandon, or leave her for a better option. so it's much more likely than annabeth was expressing great mental and emotional distress during a period of her life where it was uncertain if the boy she loved would drop dead on his sixteenth birthday. on top of having to uphold a reputation as the best strategist at camp half-blood and devise a plan to fight in a war and save the world before she's a sophomore in high school. so the notion that annabeth is an abusive and toxic individual lacks the consideration that maybe she was just a child forced to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders at all times.

Epic the Musical:
Athena: Please dad help Odysseus! I realized he is my good friend and needs help!
Zeus: Who? That shameful man I made him choose to kill himself or his men? Why would I do that? It was so fun!You just seek attention! I'll tell you what though; if you convince others then I shall release him! Let's play
Athena: *does that*
Zeus: How DARE you!
Zeus: *strikes her*
The Odyssey:
Athena: Please father how could you forget on Odysseus who was always pious to the gods?
Zeus: Me? Forget about him? How can I? He is like one of the best when it comes to sacrifices and respecting the gods.
Athena: Then why won't you help him?
Zeus: I have nothing against the man. But my hands are tied! He committed hubris and nemesis had to find him and my brother is pissed off at him. I can't do much.
Athena: I cannot face him but now he is away please help Odysseus at least escape Ogygia! Send Hermes to bring the message and I shall go to help his son! The prophecy needs to be fulfilled!
Zeus: you speak the truth. Let us try.

BOBBY: I don't want to take the next step. I want to take every step, with you, for the rest of our lives. Marry me, Athena. I know it might feel sudden and fast but we both know how life works. Life is fleeting and it's precious, and when you find happiness and you find somebody who fills your heart, gives you hope for the future and faith in yourself, you have... ATHENA: Bobby! Yes!

I am genuinely really enjoying seeing people who have clearly never read the Odyssey before reacting to EPIC's Ithaca saga. I haven't listened to EPIC myself (yet) but people keep saying stuff like "Odyseeus built their palace around an olive tree he carved into his and Penelope's marriage bed that's so symbolic" and "He really just murdered all the suitors wouldn't that piss off their parents?" Which are observations and questions that the Odyssey makes incredibly blatantly clear as to the symbolism or the answer because it's a really old poem and subtlety wasn't really Homer's strong suit.
There's something really endearing about seeing people interact with the Odyssey through the same way the Ancient Greeks did - a bard singing the story of Odyseus' nostos.
(I gather the details have changed a little, but that's what happens with oral storytelling, and that's how the Odyssey got created in the first place)
Also as congratulations have my favourite ancient depiction of Odysseus surfing with two amphemorae having stolen Poseidon's trident, being sped along by Boreas, stark naked except for a cloak he's holding onto.

#epic the musical#epic the ithaca saga#in answer to the question “what about the suitors parents being pissed” what happens is they all storm the palace gates#odysseus and laertes go out to meet them#and athena appears and goes#“no. my boy has suffered enough to get here. go home and have new#better sons who arent creepy dicks#also re: oral storytelling#its facinating actually because the odyssey wasnt written by Homer he was just the guy who wrote it down#the story existed since at least 1450 BCE#(fall of troy)#and because we know the very basic rundown of what was happening at a) the Bronze Age collapse and Mycenaean Greece#(when the story is set and it first began circulating)#b) the Greek Dark Ages which werent all that dark they just forgot writing for a bit but did a lot of cultural shifting#and c) the Archaic period which is when Homer wrote it down#we can (roughly) figure out what parts of the Odyssey are probably the oldest#what may have been introduced during the Dark Ages to reflect that cultural shift away from Mycenaean civilisation and towards Archaic#and what was introduced in the Archaic period when Homer got ahold of it#which i think is amazing and facinating#and is (very loosely) what is happening with EPIC#(its not the same because modern people are not the cultural inheritors of a story of our relatively recent ancestors' war and returns)#but the changes being made to reflect the modern audience and fit our time better are#kinda#if it was like the changes made in Ancient Greece it would be like the mentioned places to have their modern names#and the monsters changed slightly to relfect current cultural anxieties which i dont think has happened with EPIC#fel free to corect me though because like i said i havent listened to it yet#the odyssey#homeric epics#tagamemnon#technically

annabeth being jealous of her friends that have powers. partially because they look fun and cool. mainly because it's the parents way extending a piece of themselves. of their powers. to their offspring. it was an act of trust and faith. and all that athena gave to annabeth. annabeth had to build from the ground up. which one could argue is a test of strength. but sometimes. annabeth didn't want to be strong. she wanted to be loved.
