I love giving the challenge for the people who read this AU, to both feel anger and empathy for a character like Alan and Satin. They all went through something that is just, sad. And I think what i like the most about them is that every time you think you hate them, mostly Satin, suddenly there will be another layer that will be revealed on how shit ass their past has been, how they have been struggling.

With how ATG is going, we can all believe this MIGHT not end on a good note after all, we'll never know. I didn't respond much here cause i got that record reaction i gave to you hehe x33 - S

ALAN IS STILL OBLIVIOUS ALL THIS TIME EVEN RN AND NOW DJ IS LITERALLY BEING OVERPOWERED BY SOMEONE DUE TO MANIPULATION AND HIS OWN THOUGHTS TOO.... THIS CHAPTER HAS A LOT HAPPENING BECAUSE WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FU- MOMGEY YOU HAVE OUTDONE YOURSELF AND I'M EXTREMELY IMPRESSED....

Let's discuss Chapter 14!

Finally, we see more screen time for the other characters. Alan has finally realized the need for help, especially as terrorist attacks have become more frequent. He’s much busier now, and the fact that DJ is currently missing is making things worse.

From Alan's perspective, we can observe that DJ slightly parallels Mary and how she acted around DJ during their childhood. Now, DJ is beginning to exhibit similar behavior toward Alan. There were many things that Alan didn’t notice about DJ, particularly his initial struggles with mental health when they were younger.

Now fast forward to Kaori. We all know that it isn't really the "real" Kaori. Her body is no longer present at this point; it has been years since Kaori and her children died, which means she is no longer flesh and bone—perhaps only bones remain. So, the Kaori that DJ saw was not even real; it was something Satin had created to further push DJ into a corner. It was shown that Satin had spent her time stalking DJ, which led to her discovering Noogai's real name, Alan Becker, and that Noogai has been connected to DJ all along.

Even then, she knew Noogai is a close friend of DJ, suggesting that Satin knows a little too much. This knowledge likely enabled her to manipulate DJ with a fake robot. We know DJ's mental health is declining, which indicates that his logic is not entirely intact anymore. He clearly panicked at the realization of Satin "digging up" Kaori and using her body.

And Satin pointed out that DJ was "smart," but he let his heart be his own downfall.

Now, DJ felt fear for the first time—fear for his life and fear of Alan. He knew, he was certain, that Alan wouldn't just kill him but also torture him for allowing Satan to use Kaori's body in that way. In his own eyes, DJ saw himself as no different from those who had murdered Alan's family; he was nothing more than scum for his actions.

Satin understood that DJ would eventually try to escape in a panic after being drugged. Therefore, it was better to keep DJ close to her, as this would allow Satin to protect DJ if necessary—just as DJ had once protected her. Oh, is that a spoiler alert? Oops!

We can’t really blame Satin for the way she has changed or for her intense obsession with Noogai and DJ. Some of you might be wondering, “Does Satin really want to be a god?” or “Why is Satin so focused on revenge?”

Let me clarify there’s a reason behind Satin’s obsession with DJ, just as there is with Noogai.

DJ was the first person (stick?) to show her love, and the first stick to show her real care and affection.

Noogai (Alan) was the first stick to make her feel hatred.

Satin actively chases two intense feelings: love and hatred. While she lacks many emotions, the duality of these feelings is strangely addictive to her. She yearns for the satisfaction of having DJ by her side forever—the same person who cared for her during her childhood. At the same time, she craves the fulfillment that would come from killing Noogai, the one who abandoned her on that cursed stage, leaving her hurt and afraid.

Satin desires to feel more; she craves emotional depth. To her, being a god means nothing if she can't experience genuine emotions. This reveals the complexity of her character. Even I find it puzzling how utterly strange Satin is! And this is just the beginning; we haven't even explored Alan's perspective yet, which adds another layer to the story.

We know Alan is as messed up as DJ and Satin, but we have not yet explored that part yet xDD - S

Just EVERYONE in this fic makes me say poor them. Like words can't even describe how much I feel bad for them cause all of them are traumatized in their own ways cause hon, you can't look at these set of characters and tell me their the healthiest bunch. They can't even pass healthy ToT

This just made me realize that Mary and DJ could have been a duo if everything didn't go dumpster fire. Like look at the wholesomeness when they were kids! But then, it makes me question whether they'll be healthy for each other as time passes with how they think(?) Here is DJ "I need to be useful so I could be worthy of love" and Mary/Satin "don't need permission to show love." I get why they acquired that mindset and it just makes me feel T_T Also here is Noogai being too obssessed with building his ideal world that he neglects to see other aspects of their world's problem, kickstarting Satin's hatred and whatever goal she has, nefarious, righteous, vengeful, whatever it may be.
