40k Sfw Alphabet: Perturabo

As per the poll, Peter T is next for the alphabet series! I have a particular and peculiar soft spot for this man. I don't fully understand why, but it did make writing this one a lot of fun.

I apologise for any spelling errors, ooc moments and grammatical mistakes. If you guys have any requests for future headcanons or fics, please send them thru!

Otherwise, please enjoy :)

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Showing affection does not come easily to Perturabo, but that does not make him an unaffectionate person. All his life, he's been starved of unconditional compassion, and that has hardened his heart. But beneath all of that is a man who craves affection. Perty may not be willing to admit it to himself, but that doesn't stop it from being true. And when you suddenly. come along, showing him that yes, there are people in this world who can and will love him for him, not for how he might serve them, those walls around his heart will begin to erode.

After that, Perty will show his affection for you through gifts and acts of service. You will never be left wanting for anything, and often you will return to your shared home to find a new ornament, music box, fidget toy or other such trinket left out for you. Handcrafted by your husband to assure you that, while he struggles with words and physical touch, he loves you in his own way.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Have you guys seen those memes on Instagram and/or tiktok about the mean-girl-who's-actually-a-girl's-girl? You know, someone who looks and acts all mean and judgy, but in a pinch will absolutely step up to help a friend in need? I see Perturabo being that kind of best friend.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Perty doesn't like cuddling but for your sake he will... tolerate it. He might grumble and complain, but he'd never deny you. When you do cuddle, he's a big spoon all the way, holding you from behind or lift you up onto his chest, resting his arms around you like weighted blankets. Secretly, he craves physical touch, but he's way too prideful to ever admit it.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Perturabo's biggest want in life is to be seen as something other than a war machine. He wants to build what he wants, to live how he wants, and he wants to do so without judgement. So, absolutely, I can see Perty wanting to settle down. Eventually, he wants a calm, peaceful life where he can build toys instead of tanks and playhouses instead of siege weapons.

Also, he would be a fantastic house husband. So long as you show him the right amount of appreciation for what he does, he would love nothing more than to stay at home, build his contraptions and be left to do his own thing. Side note: if you were the bread winner of the pairing, Perty's pride might be hurt on instinct, but I could see him getting over it. He would see that your going out and earning a living for your both gives him the time he needs for all the little projects he's been wanting to work on.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Yikes. I mean, there are definately worse 40k characters to break up with, but Perty is definately up there. Expect a lot of shouting, a lot of insults and so, so much pettiness. It's not because he actually means any of it, though: it's all to cover up how heart broken he is.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Perturabo is absolutely lives by commitment, and this extends to your relationship. Once he's squared enough of his demons away to understand that he loves you, he's never going to want to let you go. Your engagement ring will be the finest, most intricate piece of jewelry ever crafted by a human hand, as would be your wedding bands, dress and veil. In a compete reversal of tradition, Perty would demand to take full charge of planning the wedding. The stress of trying to ensure that everything will be perfect, though, would have the poor man ripping the cables out of his scalp, so be prepared to give him ample moral support.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Contrary to popular belief, and his own exterior persona, Perturabo is surprisingly good at being gentle. It's doesn't come naturally: particularly with the emotional side of things, he has to make a concerted effort. But like everything he does, when Perty puts his mind to something, he is always staggeringly competent at it.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Much like cuddles, Perty doesn't like hugs, but for your sake he will tolerate them. And if he can see that you are upset, ill or otherwise under the weather, he will initiate the embrace in order to comfort you.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

Not very fast. Not very fast at all. I do think that, eventually, he would muster up the courage to say it.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

In my humble opinion, Perturabo is the most jealous of the primarchs. And this is because he's easily the most insecure. Any indication that another man might MIGHT be interested in you, Perty is spiralling. In these moments, he will be angry, not at you mind you, but rather the offending male. He will need your every reassurance and bit of praise.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

At first, Perturabo's kisses are stiff and mechanical. He doesn't really know what he's doing, and such intimate physical touch makes him feel awkward and uncomfortable. Once he gets over that, though, his kisses become hard, aggressive and overpowering. They'll make your jaw ache and lips swell up.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Terrible at interacting with children, absolutely unrivalled at making the things that children like or need. Toys, cribs, cradles, mobiles, walkers and everything in between, Perturabo can and enjoys to make.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Perturabo is almost never in bed when you wake up. He's always up early so as to get ahead of his work. When you eventually get up, though, you'll usually find a plate of freshly-made breakfast waiting for you in the kitchen.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Perturabo rarely sleeps first- you'll be already half asleep by the time he finally makes it to bed. It's during these late night moments, when he is feeling tired, peaceful and a little horny, that he is the most physically affectionate. He will kiss your neck, pull you into his chest and simply enjoy the feel of your body and your energy.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Perturabo is far from keen to reveal things about himself to you. The surface level things, sure, but anything deeper than where he lives and what he likes to do in his spare time, he's more than hesitant to share. This is for two reasons: one, his past is a dark thing, not a lot there that he likes to relive. And two, many of the things he's done in the past, he is ashamed of, and he has a lot of regrets. With his insecurities already being neck-high, he can't bear the thought of you knowing about them, lest you think less of him or even decide he is not worth your love.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Perturabo's temper has an infamously short fuse, and that doesn't change when he's with you. If he's stressed, tired or pissed off, it's gonna be your problem as much as his. Just don't take it to heart because it's not your fault. It's never your fault. And if he says something that might insinuate that, he will make it up to you with a special gift or gesture (he's not yet mature enough to say sorry, so he's gotta show it).

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Perturabo is as detail orientated a person as you could get. Therefore, he remembers everything about you. Even the weirdest, most mundane things. Like the way you tend to hold a knife and fork. How long exactly you tend to brush your teeth for. Random stuff like that, he just remembers. His knowledge of your habits and quirks is near-encyclopedic.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

I know this is the sfw alphabet, but for this one I gotta say it's the first time you two shared a bed. It was Perry's first time, and let me tell you, it changed him. And it was thanks to the clarity and peacefulness of the afterglow that he was able to finally admit to himself (and to you) that yes, he does in fact love you.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Perturabo is hyper protective. Partially out of jealousy, partially out of fear for your safety. You are literally the only good thing that's even happened to him. You're the one person who has given him the affection, validation and appreciation that he has needed ever since he was a little boy. If anything happened to you... Perturabo can't even bear to think about it.

As for Perty himself, he needs you to protect his heart. Specifically, his self esteem and his self worth. He won't ever ask for it, but you'll be able to tell when he needs a kind word or loving touch.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

All of these fall under acts of service. Therefore, Perturabo excels at all of them.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

I think all of Perturabo's problems can be catagorized as a lack of emotional maturity and a very damaged, weakened sense of self worth. His relationship with you forces him to become self aware of these issues, but it is a monumentous task overcoming them.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Not really at all. Perturabo cares only for functionality, not fashion.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Yup. See P for some elaboration as to why.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Perty talks in his sleep. Soft little mumblings and coos that are entirely incoherent and totally, utterly cute. He doesn't even know he does it.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

Honestly? Perty wouldn't like being with someone who reminded him of him. He needs an opposite; someone who balances him out rather than matches him. If it wasn't that, then the relationship would crumble under the weight of bad tempers, insecurity and emotional deregulation.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

Perturabo's sleep schedule is almost non existent. Seriously the man hardly sleeps at all. Often times, when night time rolls around and it's time for you to go to sleep, he'll lift you into his lap and let you sleep there, pressed back against his chest or curled up on your side using his arm as a pillow, while he continues working on whatever pet project he's got going at that moment.

And all the things are pretty convincing but...I don't think Mike was jealous in the airport scene, because then he would have known the painting Will was doing was for him, but instead, even Finn confirmed Mike was clueless about it, so maybe Mike was just...idk....distant from Will and only was trying to rebuild their friendship, remember that he tried to call Will and Will never called him, so maybe he thought Will was mad at him and that's the reason he acts that way, plus Cara said thah you only see a friendship evolving so uhm- idk, ty for reading this and I hope you can adress this "doubt" I have

El said in her letter 'I think there is someone he likes, because he has been acting 'weird'", which is for the benefit of the audience's view of Mike's emotions later on.

That's the first mention of the painting, and it's already established that it's an object with romantic intentions (but it's to the audience). So when the viewer sees Will holding the painting in the airport, they get the inkling that Will likes Mike, because it's for him, and he's been acting weird about it.

As for Mike's feelings about the painting.... you're not supposed to know.

Let's lay out the facts of the painting storyline here:

He doesn't want to hug Will at the airport.

He panics when he sees a painting that he has been told is is maybe for a girl.

He pretends to ignore Will all day and is overly affectionate with El (but then the viewer finds out he has actually taken notice of everything he's done).

He is annoyed when Will accuses him of not reaching out.

He feels like he lost Will.

When Will has more confidence in his relationship with Mike he takes the painting with him in his bag.

When Mike finds out the painting is for him he is amazed.

When he finds out that 'el commissioned it' he's confused.

From the Rink o Mania fight, we find out that Mike has been paying attention to Will all day and claims that it ruined the whole day. We also see him offended that Will's annoyed he didn't call, and he's offended that Will didn't call. He asks 'why am I the bad guy?' as if to accuse Will of doing the same thing that he's being accused of.

So, back to the original point about him being jealous. Yes, he is. He saw that Will had made a painting, and then he asks nervously what the painting is (the tone of his voice makes it sound like he already has some idea, but just wants confirmation). Will then brushes it off.

I don't think his non-hug and the painting are linked, I think the reason he didn't hug him is because he didn't want to feel something yknow. He romanticises any sort of interaction with Will, and he doesn't want to show his true feelings in front of everyone.

When Will brushes it off, he is instantly no longer interested. Miscommunication occurs, because while Will never said 'it's not for you', Mike assumes it's not for him because of the way that Will doesn't bring any attention to it, and makes it seem unimportant. The reason he's jealous is because yeah, he did just get confirmation that El could be right.

SOOOO when Will attacks Mike for not calling, Mike gets angry because he's like 'well you did the same thing by moving on with someone else' aka painting for someone else . (Will giving Mike his drawings has always been their thing as well, so it hurts even more that its not for him this time). That is why he later apologises by saying 'I feel like I lost you'. It is his explanation for why he got annoyed at him in Rink o Mania. The 'I feel like I lost you' basically means he was jealous and a self-pitying idiot (his words lmao), and has decided to own up to things and say that Will didn't deserve that. That was why he got angry in the first place. Because he felt like he had lost Will to someone else. So yes he was jealous.

To make this romantic.... is easy. El in the beginning could have easily said he's painting it for someone, maybe he's painting it for a friend, but Mike heard that it's specifically for someone Will likes, so the fact he feels like he lost Will to someone in a romantic sense, means that he also wants him romantically. He never gets this possessive when Dustin or Lucas get girlfriends.

Now, when the painting gets given to Mike again: He realises it is for him and gets super excited. Will doesn't need to tell him explicitly it's for him, because it's a painting of their DND characters.

But when Will said that El commissioned it, we can see the weirdness and the uneasiness on his face, because he's having an internal conflict that the audience cannot see. And again, WE ARENT SUPPOSED TO OKAY

Finn Wolfhard was also confused about this interaction, asking the Duffer Brothers why Mike's so clueless here. (he said this at a con or interview or something) He's also said in the past that Mike does not know about Will loving him. When asked, the Duffer Brothers responded with: "Don't worry, it'll pay off in the end". Meaning we will eventually know what Mike was thinking/ Mike will find out the truth. And the fact it's being dragged over 2 seasons and left for the final one, means it's important.

oof okay sorry that was such a RANTTT AHH but seriously, he was definitely sad about Will making the painting possibly for someone else, shown in his anger in the Rink o Mania fight, and the fact he said he thought he had lost him as a reason for his anger.

As for your comment about Cara? That is not what she said. You're saying that she said 'You only see a friendship evolving', which is not what she said.

She says "Mike goes on his own journey... and Will is not ready to grow up and leave that friendship." then she says, "So I think in season 5....' which Noah looks at her very suspiciously about, so she says something else.

She then says (keeping in mind the Season 5 comment), "Cause I know that as an actor, you're thinking about things as you're approaching it from an actor's perspective" THEN SHE SAYS "But i think from a story perspective, you just see like a friendship evolving" "People come apart and they come together"

Then Noah begins to say "And I will say that..." and then goes "No im not gonna say anything."

What does this mean? Well, she's saying that as actors, they know what is going to happen to Mike and Will in season 5. But from the audience's perspective, they may only see a friendship evolving. In season 5 that might change. She's not saying 'oh they only have a friendship' no no, she's describing the fact they're changing, and describing what the audience likely sees and what the audience may be confused about. Also this is a FRIENDS TO LOVERS ARC,,,,, of course they are sometimes going to be described as having a friendship.

and dont take the actors words as gospel! they were put on the spot anyways and dont have time to figure out everything they wanna say

the stygian night was beautifully decorated by feeble stars, but despite that, it still managed to shed tears of blue threads that collided with the crestfallen ground, creating a piercing yet melodious drone of sound.

“it’s a bit cold, isn’t it? would you like my jacket?” asked suga from beside you.

“uh, i’ll be fine! thanks for offering though,” you awkwardly smile. not only was it raining, but it was windy. the wind occasionally blew an eerie whistle in your ear, sending a shiver down the small of your back.

the bus that you were waiting for was due to come 15 minutes ago, yet here you were, 15 minutes later, shielding your self from the shrewd rain under the bus shelter which seemed to be barely holding itself against the rain.

“we are sorry to announce that the last bus is cancelled due to the an unforeseen incident. we apologise for any inconvenience caused. thank you,” the rusty speaker hanging from the top corner of the bus stop announced.

you snap your head to look at suga, only to find his molten silver eyes as wide as yours. his lips were pressed into a disapproving, thin line.

“uh oh,” you say. “what do we do now?” it was a rhetorical question. You knew what you had to do. Walk under this pouring rain.

“we’re gonna have to walk,” he muttered despondently. “or sleep here,” he joked,  pulling out his phone from the pocket of his jacket. You stayed silent, watching as his long fingers typed something on the phone.

“the closest convenience store is a 15 minutes walk from here. We can get umbrellas and then I’ll walk you home,” his eyes met yours as he stuffed his phome back into his pockets.

“you don’t have to walk me home, I can just—”

“I’m not having any of this,” he cut you off. “I’m walking you home full stop,” you wanted to argue back, but the way he stared into your eyes made it hard, so you defeatedly gave in.

“fine, but you’ll let me get you coffee next time,”

“fine by me,”

Your clothes clang to your silhouette, as if becoming one with your skin, and the hood of your thin jacket did close to nothing to shield you from the rain.  Or from the loud hum of the wind that made the hairs on your skin stand.

It felt a little warmer suddenly. And a little less wet. It took you a while to process the sudden change, and when you did, your head snapped to look at the culprit behind it.

“what are you doing?” you asked, narrowing your eyes and referring to the thicker jacket draping over your head and shoulders.

“you look like you’re seconds away from hypothermia,” he replied. His previously fluffy hair was a wet, beautiful grey mess, slightly sticking to his creased forehead.

“your sweater looks thinner than paper,” you argued. “and I’m not seconds away from hypothermia,”

“do you ever not argue back,” a smile decorated his lips. He walked slightly in front of you, given he knows the way to the convenience store.

“you’re making this hard. Coffee and dinner now,” you replied, a smile on your lips as you both finally approach the convenience store.

The both of you were taking shelter under one umbrella while walking. It was apparently the last umbrella left, so there was no other choice. His thick jacket was now draped around your shoulders, given that he refused to take it back.

“so,” suga began. “any plans for tomorrow?” he asked, breaking the bubble of silence surrounding you. The rain has slightly subdued, it’s sound against the ground growing softer. An earthy smell of petrichor infiltrated your nostrils and a warm, benign feeling spread across your body.

“if you call sleeping a plan, then yes,” you joked, earning a doting chuckle from the male beside you.

“sounds like a plan to me,”

The streets stretched ahead of you, shimmering with rain and echoing with silence. Despite being lonely, a silver path of moonlight was etched on every bump and jagged cobblestone, disposing of any lingering feelings of loneliness. That is, along with the low murmurs coming from both your mouths.

However, the tranquil, almost placid air was suddenly pierced by the blaring yells of what you imagined to be a drunk middle-aged man walking in your direction. A few vile curses and mutters left his mouth as the distance between you and the man seemed to get shorter.

A soft hand gripped your shoulder instinctively pulling you closer. Suga’s hand. Your back was now touching his chest, the previously comfortable space between you and him now dissipating into the humid air. Small jolts of fireworks surged through your shoulder, all the way to your back as a wave of warmth dizzyingly washed over you.

And he wasn’t any better, his knees buckled slightly and the fingertips wrapped around your shoulder were feeling hot, as if a constellation of sensation ignited within him. He felt his throat dry and stars burn in the pit of his stomach and a warm flush decorated the tips of his ears. he wondered if you were able to hear the thrums of his heartbeats.

After the drunk man passed, his small eyes eyeing both your figures shrewdly, not a word nor a breath were uttered from any of your mouths. The streets felt a tad bit lonelier, but his fingers remained stuck to your shoulder, not wanting to leave.

“thank you for walking me home,” you said, standing at your door. Your gaze landed on everywhere but his molten silver eyes. Your cheeks were flushed, and your hands trembling a little.

“of course, there is no need to thank me,” he replied, a shy smile forming on his lips. His eyes crinkled at the corners a little, and his hand scratched the back of his head sheepishly. His heart was still palpitating in his chest like there is no tomorrow.

Your hands slowly took off the jacket he very kindly lent you, which was almost magically dry. “here, uh, your jacket,” you stretched your arms out, holding it in both hands.

He shook his head knowingly. “keep it,” he said, the same smile still gracing his lips. “you can give it to me when we meet up for dinner again,”

Your eyes finally gathered the courage to stare at his eyes. Twilight skies that shimmered with a thousand shades of silver. You gulped, almost losing your voice. Your heart was thundering in your chest. You thought that you wouldn’t mind waking up every morning to eyes like his. “okay,” your voice was low.

“great,” he beamed, but then looked at his watch. “it’s getting late, I’m going to leave now,” he added. “make sure you take a warm shower, I”ll, uh, I’ll see you soon,”

You nodded. As you watched him begin retreating, offering you a small wave and a grateful smile. You waved back, and then turned to open the door of your apartment.

Tonight, you were going to sleep with his silver eyes perpetuating at the top of your mind and his scorching touch lingering on the skin of your shoulder, kindling a wildfire in your heart.

Tonight, he was going to sleep with his heart beating in the drums of his ears and his fingertips sending jolts of fire, reminding him of what it felt when there was no space between the both of you. When your bodies slightly touched and it felt like tidal waves crashing ashore.

Nick shakes his head slowly, the slight frown yielding a smile. "You don't have to tell me, because I know. You show me every day." He takes a deep breath, trying to replay the scene in his head. It doesn't make sense and yet it does. A little uncomfortably so, but eventually he chuckles, if purely to express his disbelief, not because the two people he loved acting like assholes was suddenly funny to him.

"I'm pretty sure Rafa didn't want you to defend yourself either." He quickly raises his hand as to stop Hari from adding his tuppence, because one thing Nick needs to make clear: "It wasn't fair. He has no right to test you. And while I think it's..." he swallows any and all negative adjectives that come to mind and just shakes his head for a place holder instead, "It probably made sense in Rafa's weird brain and he didn't mean ill, even if he was being exceptionally... provocative..." The last word is almost whispered. Realisation hits and Nick bites his lower lip, frown back in place. "I know you wanted to leave and I'm not going to stop you, if you still want to. But if you're still here when I get back, that'd be nice. I just need to...", he picks up his half-smoked rollie and wiggles it about, before he gets up and places a brief kiss on Hari's hair.

Outside, Rafael's fingernails dig into his palm but he keeps himself firmly locked in place, not giving into the desire to pace and throw his arms around in wild gestures while trying to explain himself. He has a thousand things on the tip of his tongue but he swallows them all, for they were knives rather than shields. Eventually he just settles on an almost too neutral elucidation for someone so clearly passionate and governed by emotions: "The question was if he would break Nico's heart, not if his wife would. And if someone would ask me if I would cheat on you and they would name all the women I'm friends with, my colleagues, everyone I ever dated and, yes, my ex-wife included, I would still say 'no, I would not cheat on you and I have no romantic feelings for any of these people mentioned.' This has never been an attack towards his ex-wife nor him having an ex-wife in the first place." And he looks the other way before he gives in to a 'but you keep making it into something I never said.'

Still he mutters: "And I don't hate him."

"Good. I would still love him if you did," Nick could see Rafa being taken aback by Nick's sudden appearance, so he uses the brief moment of his older brother trying to wrap his head around the new situation to walk up to him and wrap his arms around him: "Cê não precisa esconder que tá magoado."

"I'm not."

"Tisha, can you please punch my brother in the shoulder. I'd do it myself but I don't feel like driving anyone to the hospital tonight." He lets go of Rafael and lights his smoke and finally, finally gets to enjoy it. "You don't give people a chance to treat you right, Rafa, and you think I'm the same. But I actually say if something bothers me. And you know what? Hari listens. And he can accept a no. But you think you gotta save everyone and be a martyr in the process. That's hurting people too, you know?! And I bet Tisha and I could tell you for hours and days how wonderful Hari is, but I want you to go back inside and see for yourself. And this time, when you apologise, make it sound less estúpido, yeah? And can you also try to forgive him too? Tisha, did I forget something?"

“He was… he told me that if I broke your heart with anyone, my ex or whoever, there would be consequences.” Hari sighs. “And I told him that if he ever talked about the mother of my children that way again, I would punch him in the mouth.” He’s really not sure what sounds worse in hindsight, the threat or the defence. “In the moment, all I was thinking was… fuck this, she’s not here to defend herself, she’s engaged - fine, he hates me, but why is he dragging her through the mud too?” He explains, slow shake of his head like he’s chiding himself instead of relaying the information.

“I’ve always been better at defending other people than myself. But he wanted me to defend this, us, not… I could have handled it better, in a few ways. And I will apologize to him, when he and Tisha are done out there.” But something else sticks in his mind, something Nick said before he asked- “But you are the person I wanted to say all that to. if any of you are still feeling weird about that infamous interview, here is what alex said about it (and why that ashley girl doesn't like him). i really want to point out that what alex says here is the exact same thing us, miles fans have been saying since forever. so, if you are a fan of alex, but throw shit at miles, just remember that your favourite also supports him. and maybe think twice before starting arguments with miles fans and keep in mind that alex has the same opinion about it all.

Alongside Arctic Monkeys, Turner has a long-term side-project called The Last Shadow Puppets with his best friend, the Birkenhead singer-songwriter Miles Kane. During the promotion for their last album, the two did an interview with a female journalist from the music webzine Spin. Turner was being his usual unforthcoming self, so Kane attempted to break the ice with some groan-inducing banter. This included inviting the journalist up to his hotel room when she asked what he was doing after the interview, which, in hindsight, was pretty stupid (he realised as much the next day and emailed her to say sorry). The result, though, was a lengthy op-ed calling out Kane’s unprofessionalism and the misogyny of the music industry at large. Personally, I found some of her complaints against him a tad flimsy — holding eye contact for too long, high-fiving her, “yanking” her in “for a not entirely consensual kiss on the cheek” as she said goodbye, and not least the idea that interviewing a rock star is ever supposed to be an exercise in professionalism. What did Turner make of it all? Annabeth wasn't abusive to Percy in regards to their relationship when she set him up. However, she was certainly cruel to him because she left him alone with 5 Ares kids who were all trained more than he was without telling him or preparing him. And she never apologises for this either.

At this point in time, neither Percy nor Annabeth knew that he had water powers. And Clarisse had an electric spear which she didn't hesitate to use on Percy, which would have severely injured him, so it was not a safe game at CHB.

They were next to a river. Percy didn't know that he was the son of Poseidon then and he could not use the river either. It's certain that Clarisse would have electrocuted him using her spear.

They were going to maim him. Again, not a safe game at a kids' camp.

The toilet incident was a fluke to both of them. Annabeth only found out that Percy was Poseidon's son because the water healed his wounds.

Regarding Solangelo-

I don't think that Will giving Nico nectar and ambrosia and healing Snickers bars is bad or breaks any oath. I don't think that Will bandaging Nico's wounds from fights and Capture the Flag breaks any code either. I mean, ideally speaking, another doctor could do all that if Will dated Nico (is Will seriously the only doctor at camp. Someone relieve that boy from all that work.)

My real problem lies in Will making medical decisions for Nico, because he's a teenage minor doctor. Adults should be doing this instead-Dionysus and Chiron both care for Nico as does Hades, who will take time out of his schedule to make these decisions for Nico.

As Nico's boyfriend, Will won't be able to see the situation objectively and may end up making bad decisions because his romantic love for Nico clouds his practical doctor's view. Would he be able to keep his hands steady if he knew that he had to save his boyfriend's life as opposed to another patient? He'd be scared shitless and that would affect both of them terribly.

Also-

Will said that no one had ostracized Nico when he was in fact excluded by the camp. And Will was angry and tired, ok, but we never get an apology scene for this either. Instead, Will just calls Nico dense.

Will performs surgeries and delivers babies. He's also the main medic of the camp and literally gives doctors' notes and orders. That's medical enough to mandate a lighter version of the Hippocratic Oath. It doesn't matter if he's not an official doctor-his medical affairs are medical enough for him to have to adhere to the ethics of doctor-patient relationships.

If Will tended to Nico when there were no other doctors, it would be fine, but he goes out of his way to give him medical orders that he demands should be followed, when the patient is under no obligation to follow the doctor's orders. He orders Nico to stay in the infirmary and also uses his position as a doctor to get Nico to sit at his cabin table, which is an abuse of authority.

Will has talked about Nico's mental issues to other people without Nico's consent and when Nico wasn't present there to share his feelings about Will talking about his issues with other people.

Will isn't a young child who doesn't know better. He's a sixteen year old who knows that he shouldn't do this. If he wanted to vent, then he could have written in a diary instead of telling people who would probably tell other people. He had no right to do what he did and this should have been talked about.

And he should know the Hippocratic Oath because he's the camp doctor, and he's still doing enough medical stuff to warrant him knowing it. He also studied medicine, so he should have been taught this oath.

Now, I'm NOT saying that Will Solace is a bad person. He's great. He's kind. He cares for his siblings and father. He even went into town to get clothes for his dad. He shows concern for Nico too and it's clear that he cares for him, even if their relationship is a little messed up He's a great guy at times.

It's just that he shouldn't be Nico's doctor and boyfriend at the same time.

And I'm not anti Solangelo shippers. I get the appeal of it. In the end, it's a fictional ship, but it could definitely be handled better.
