Im so excited for bib but sad to not see any tid couples other than wessa, what do you think could have been good stories of them?

i know i mentioned this in my last ask about them but gabriel and cecily figuring out their footing as a couple would have made a great story. if gabrily was a romcom, we kinda just got the first half of their story in tid, and it would have been cool to see some kind of friction arise between them that they would have come out all the stronger for.

as much as it would hurt, i also think there's a good story to be found in the aftermath of chot. being parents and shadowhunters wouldn't always allow people the time and space to grieve and heal and learn how to cope, and i think it would be something special to see them find solace in each other. it would also be interesting to see how the way they look at little alexander changes, since he's in the very unique position of being brought up in that aftermath.

on a lighter note... gabrily proposal!! since edmund and linette are still like.. in their lives to at least some extent, do we think gabriel would have done the respectful 1880s gentlemanly thing to do and talk to her parents first? also the potential for cecily to give that proposal a 10.. i would cry.

their first time after realizing they were in love with each other the whole time. i really don't need to add any details here hehe makes me aksdfadsjk just thinking about it.

their first time after henry becomes a paraplegic. the self-consciousness on his part, his insistence that charlotte deserves better, will always deserve better than him. charlotte being like fuck that, we'll figure this out. and then they do and it's sweet there's laughter and love just threaded throughout

it would be great to see them as parents when the boys were young too (and i swear that's not just because imagining baby matthew makes me inexplicably happy). just finding moments to look at each other and smile, or sneak away for a quiet moment together away from the busy-ness of being the consul's family with the chaos of raising two very different boys who definitely got on each other's nerves.

sophideon:

there are two stories in my head that are similar to ones above but i think would also be good for sophie and gideon. the first is how they handle grief post chog. and the second is their young family. i think a story about them just laying in bed discussing their kids would be so sweet.

as for more specifically gideon and sophie stories... their wedding would be wonderful i think. sophie being the one whose doted on for once, the one having her hair done up by charlotte and tessa, and how out of place that would feel for her. gideon getting nervous not because of cold feet but because sophie is the closed thing to an angel he's ever seen. he's such a silly-in-love lightwood and watching him walk down the aisle with gabriel and stand beside sophie would be beautiful.

the two of them moving into a house together in idris. i feel like this could have a lot of potential generally, but there's this specific kind of moment i'm thinking of where sophie is cleaning out of habit and gideon either joins her or takes over for her, telling her to relax, or to read to him if she insists on doing something useful. there's so much tenderness that could spark from that.

okay so going back to this post i made, i was just thinking about how that kinda scenario would’ve made a perfect start to developing chenry throughout the series. like, i think them developing a sense of unwavering trust and support between them through all five seasons would be so perfectly them. and nothing gets better then a “just trust me” moment, fr.

i also think it would’ve been great for the series finale. although the drama and uncertainty of henry just telling charlotte to leave the man cave and then having jasper carry her out is sooooo good, i do also like him calming her down and softly telling her to trust him “one last time”.

and then, to alter the ending a bit, i’d like to imagine there’s a moment where he shows off his force field to charlotte by telling her to hug him, and then when charlotte gets exasperated, he tells her to trust him and so she hugs him and he activates his forcefield just as jasper and ray are about to tackle him because he’s alive and well.

and then while the two of them are down for a moment, he and charlotte have a little moment where she keeps hugging him even after the fact and henry’s kinda confused, but not upset about the affection. then, when charlotte pulls away a bit, her and henry share one of those “looking at you differently maybe not for the first time” looks and, finally, a chenry kiss.

That word stuck him in his mind, what in the world does she mean?

Henry focused on himself, steering the blimp and protect himself, ready to feel the fire. Then a bird coming right to him which made his unknown superpower activate. He looked at himself, whew, he's getting out here alive.

He braced himself as the blimp moves forward to the mountains, then everything was black.

Piper was crying as well as her parents as Jasper and Charlotte came in.

"Piper-" Char began.

"He's gone." Piper cuts off and sobs onto one of the pillows.

Charlotte couldn't believe that he died, she was too late to confess her feelings to him.

"You don't have to be strong for us Char," Jasper told her as she straining herself not to cry, but failed. She hugged Jasper to comfort her, Jasper sobbed too.

Until a door opens, revealing a regular Henry Hart. Jasper is the one who looked at him and drops Charlotte to hug Henry.

"Seriously Jasp-" She said while she gets up and dust herself seeing Henry alive a well.

"Henry?" Piper spoke up, getting up and punch him.

"Ow." Henry looked at her like she was crazy, "Yeah, I am alive."

"Don't do that to me ever again," Piper mumbled while hugging Henry.

"I won't Pipes." He chuckled, hugging her back.

"Our son was alive!" Jake yelled happily as Siren cheer for him and they all hug together like a family.

"Come on Char, hug with us!" Jasper smiled as Char sighed happily, she hugged all of them.

Then another moment was interrupted by Ray as a Captain Man, all burnt came in the house sobbing for him.

"Henry is gone! I should let him go! It's all my fault, I should stay there and protect him." He cried as Henry came down the step and put his hand on his shoulder.

"Ray, I'm here." Henry smiled yet Ray still ignore in a cry more.

"I shouldn't let- let him have the job and- WHAT!" Ray rambled, seeing Henry, his assistant for many years was alive.

"Kid, you're alive!" He happily hugging him.

"Yeah, I am Ray!" He hugged back as Ray hug him harder, causing them to fall. They all laughed at their foolishness.

Now it night time, Jake and Siren got to clean the mess from the cavemen, and Ray and Schwoz are with the kids. Lastly, Piper and Jasper are planning for the funeral for Kid Danger to cover up for Henry so he could live another chapter of his life.

Now, focusing on Henry and Charlotte who are laying on his bed. Charlotte at the top of him sighed.

Henry looked at her then asked, "What's wrong?"

"I just scared of losing you" she looked at him deeply in his eyes.

"Don't worry Char, I'm will always be here." Henry smoothed out and smile.

"I- never mind" she turns herself away from him, losing the contact. Henry knew that Charlotte was lying to cover what she told him earlier.

"Charlotte." His voice sounded very stern, he was serious but in a calm way.

"Just don't worry about-"

"You have a feeling for me? Didn't you?" He questioned, making Charlotte turn around and look at him confusedly.

"I have no feelings for you." She lied, feeling her heart getting quicken.

"I couldn't stop thinking about the word you told me. I can't stop thinking about our dream, you and Jack together, and I can't stop thinking about you!" He yelled, feeling all of him finally weighting off of his shoulder. He quickly realized that he told her his confession.

"Henry...I don't know what to say. You're right, I meant that phrase when I said I not leaving you."

"So-" he blushed madly, thankfully it was dark on the one side of the room, with the lamp that shines on the other.

"Be quiet." She said, making him shut up and seeing Char using her first finger to lift his chin and kiss him. He was shocked, this isn't what he expected her to do. He kissed back madly cause of her soft lips.

After a heavy makeout, he flips her over, kissing her jaw to neck until Char grabs him and kisses him.

"Let not go too far." Char giggled, kissing his nose.

"I agree on that." Henry chuckled, laying back as Char getting on him and lay on his chest.

"Wait- what happens between you and Jack?" He was just curious.

"Jack is a good friend of mine, I always invited him to dinner to help him with the script and music stuff. Since you guys destroy my kitchen, it's the best opportunity for me to bring Jack into the Man Cave to make you jealous." She explained.

"Wow, I never know that but I make every death stare when you turn around to him. I was jealous." He winked, laughing as Charlotte gives him the look.

"Wait, what about dystopia?" He asks worriedly, he hates to see his Char getting hurt.

"Well, you want to help me-" Char began.

"You know what, I and Jasper will be in!" Henry finished her.

"Of course." She smiled, then continue, "I love you."

Henry smiled softly the replied, "I love you too."

malec: pretty healthy and it's only taking the 2nd spot because of the early stages of their relationship where the whole immortality thing was a bid deal

do you mind me asking what's up with henry danger for you now? (no worries if not just wondered x)

Sorry it took me a hot minute to get to this, my chronic illness has been kicking my ass lately, so I don't really have the bandwidth at the present moment to give a fully detailed explanation as to why I don't look back on HD fondly, but there's still a few big reasons I can give you regardless.

A lot of it started before the show ever ended, I just didn't like the direction it was headed and I didn't like the storylines they were doing (there's still many from the back half of season 4 that make my blood boil) but I honestly thought season 4 would be the end so I stuck with it, and I know if I hadn't learned season 5 was the final season, I would've quit. One really big main issue I have is the way Charlotte was constantly mistreated (and you have to keep in mind the context that she's not only the only main character of color, but she's also a woman of color). Like, the boys would come up with some dumbass plan, she'd very gently say "hey, maybe this isn't the best idea, maybe we should rethink this", they'd jump down her throat and call her a "buzzkill" and a "funkiller" or what have you and go along with the plan anyway, it'd blow up in their faces just like she predicted, and than they'd come back and blame her for it by saying some shit like "well, why didn't you say anything?!" or some BS like that and this became such a common occurrence that it was a running gag on the show. And it's not even like that group of grown ass adults running that show could pretend to plead ignorance like they didn't know what they were doing, because they legit referenced it in an episode in s5 when they go to an alternate dimension, and the alternate dimension versions of the main characters are appalled none of them listen to Charlotte, pointing out that she's smart and wise and all that jazz.

And to make matters so much worse, they turn around and do that to Mika in the literal third episode of Danger Force. Like, the whole episode she's trying to tell them a plan she has, Ray keeps talking over her, she goes through with it anyway, it works, and then they're just like "oh the universe presented us with an answer :)" and she tries several times to say "no, that was me!" but they ignore her and talk over her. That was literally the nail in the coffin for me, I had so much excitement for DF but they did that and i haven't watched it since. I'm considering picking it up again since i still have a few friends that watch it, but it feels more like a chore at this point.

But, back to HD. You also kinda have to wonder why Charlotte was the only main character that didn't have any type of romantic storyline until the very end. 🤔 Like, even Piper, (you know the one that started the show as a whole nine years old), had two (2) crush/date-type storylines before Char did. and while I'm on the subject of that, they hyped up Chenry (Charlotte/Henry) for YEARS with constant promos, youtube videos, even the producers and crew dropping little hints and shit on twitter/insta, something that was enough to get the fans excited and hopeful but not enough to be considered confirmation. Like, I suppose you could just count that as a personal issue for me, but them constantly getting everyone excited when they knew they weren't going to do anything with it leaves a bad taste in my mouth (especially since it would've been really cool to have the black girl get to be a love interest added in with the fact that it would've been an interracial couple.)

And on top of that, they did give her a date episode i n the very last season, but her date was a B-plot to the boy’s dumbass shenanigans iirc, and her famous boyfriend was someone she had apparently been dating for a long time but there was literally never a single mention of him before or after that point. Like, it very much felt like they got to the very end of the series, suddenly realized Charlotte was the only one that never got a romantic storyline, so then they decided to shoehorn it in at the last minute (and it also felt like a way of putting the final nail in the coffin of chenry too, since fans were holding out hope for it until the very end)

Also, Ray just becomes insufferable the farther into the show you get. Like, granted he was always sorta shitty, throwing a 13 year old into the crime-fighting world with no training and then berating him when he can't balance his new job with school right off the bat, but he just gets worse and worse as the seasons go by. He very deliberately sneezed in charlotte's face, he abused his power as Captain Man to get Piper to snap (it should be noted that at that point, she was president of the captain man fanclub, a fact Ray very much knew) and get angry when she was going to anger management classes because he told Henry they didn't work and made a bet with him that he could get her to crack (so literally, a grown ass man trying to undo the work of a literal child trying to better herself just to win a dumbass bet he started), he was obsessed with Henry's mom to a gross and creepy degree, he constantly mistreats/abuses Schwoz, he was always rude to Jasper even though Jasper idolized him, there was an episode where he tried to charge people for saving them and then when they couldn't/wouldn't pay, he tried to put them back into whatever dangerous situation they were in like,,,,, i could sit here all day and give you a million reasons why Rat Manchild is the absolute worst but I aint got the time

(he's the other reason I'm avoiding DF. Like, I love the DF kids to death, but I already watched him fuck up and abuse one set of kids)

And the icing on the cake of all this is that, right after the show ended, the guy that plays Henry and the guy that plays Jasper decided to show their whole asses by pretty much revealing they're tr*mp supporting shitty people and I've cut off immediate family members for that shit, so that was enough to make me be done with the whole thing

my canon chenry fantasy

Here’s how I would’ve made Chenry canon. This is a little bit over 2,300 words to compensate for the slow burn they should’ve got.

For starters, I would’ve started their relationship in Season 3. I know, I know, what about starting it in Season 1? We’ll let Henry enjoy all of his little love trysts in the first two seasons since those were actually pretty important to his character growth. It also allowed Charlotte and Henry to really bond and have some really important conversations. So, we keep those.

But, one of my favorite tropes is when someone close to a superhero gets kidnapped and they realize how important that kidnapped person is to them.

I would’ve had Charlotte get kidnapped by a new villain. A female villain too, since we barely had any of those. She’d be like Rick Twittler in a way. Since she shows up unexpected and adds a level of seriousness that the show hadn’t possessed yet. Let’s call her Miss H.

And of course, Charlotte being kidnapped drives Henry crazy because hey, one of his best friends are missing and it seems like Schwoz and Ray aren’t doing enough to bring her back.

So, Henry decides to take matters into his own hands. And predictably, he fails miserably in his rescue attempt and ends up captured with Charlotte.

While waiting for Ray and Schwoz to rescue them, the two of them have some serious bonding for a few days. They talk about missing Oreo milkshakes, wonder about what happened to Jasper’s bucket collection, and dramatically fantasize about their youth like they’re knocking on death’s door.

When Captain Man finally makes it to where Charlotte and Henry are captured, they’re moved to a room by Miss H’s goons with a two-way mirror so they could see the showdown between Ray and Miss H. There’s a countdown for ten minutes in the room, but they have no idea what it does.

However, it seems like Captain Man does. Because he looks towards the mirror with concern while Miss H. gives her monologue about her villainous ways.

Henry and Charlotte watch the fight and look back and forth between that and the timer while freaking out together, and not knowing what to do. Once the timer hits the half-way mark, they unexpectedly reach for each other’s hand, squeezing a little too tight.

And then, in typical Captain Man fashion and for television like suspense, he manages to stop Miss H. and stop the timer with one second left to spare. Henry and Charlotte respond by immediately hugging each other and jumping for joy with huge smiles on their faces.

Unexpectedly, their faces are inches apart from all the excitement, they’re out of breath in a good way, and their hearts are racing from anxiety and jubilation. But their eyes meet like they’ve never met before and lean into a kiss.

But they don’t get to kiss since Captain Man barges in and makes them jump apart like they were doing something illegal.

From there, Henry and Charlotte have a hard time talking about the almost kissing incident. It’s a little awkward and they can’t even share a bowl of popcorn without fear of their hands touching.

But they eventually talk it out. It was all in the moment they say. It just felt right at the time they say. It doesn’t mean anything and they’re still best friends they convince themselves.

Everything is cool till Charlotte gets a boyfriend. Which, completely throws Henry for a loop because what the heck, who is this guy, and why does he think he’s good enough for Charlotte.

But Henry sees how happy he makes Charlotte, how well he treats her, and how annoyingly cute they look working on LIMP projects together. So, he lets them be and keeps his jealously to himself. But they still remain pretty close and everything is seemingly normal.

Until normalcy starts to go down the drain. Because Henry and Charlotte are closer than ever now that she has a boyfriend, which is weird. But knowing that Henry doesn’t have to deal with his feelings for his best friend makes their interactions a little better. And every time Charlotte shows up to work with her boyfriend with their hands laced together, Henry gets used to the small uneasiness in his stomach and smiles a little bigger because his bestie is happy.

But happiness might as well be a pair of black jeans since it fades over time. Suddenly, Henry gets a little frustrated that he has to watch Charlotte so happy while being a sidekick to a superhero is taking a toll on his mental health, school grades, and his ability to be a teenager.

But Henry keeps it to himself since he doesn’t want to feel like a bother with his problems. Until the Christmas episode that is.

I’d keep it the same as Season 5’s episode with Ray and Henry saving Christmas trees. Except Charlotte is throwing a small Christmas party at her place with some of her class friends and Henry was supposed to be there to take a breather from being Kid Danger.

But he’s Henry with a good heart. So, he has to save Christmas even though he’s kind of sick of saving everything and not being able to hang out with his friends.

Henry arrives late to the Christmas party after everyone’s left except Jasper’s passed out on the couch from drinking too much eggnog with gingerbread crumbs all over his face.

Charlotte gives Henry a cup of hot chocolate and they sit by the fireplace where Charlotte makes him spill the beans on how he’s been doing since they barely get to talk anymore.

He makes her go first since he knows Charlotte gets an ear full of talking men since she works in the Man Cave. She fills him on accelerated testing, joining the newspaper committee, and some crime tracking system she and Schwoz had been working on in the Man Cave.

However, he’s caught off guard when she reveals that she and her boyfriend broke up a while ago. Henry had been so busy and sleep-deprived he didn’t even notice them not eating lunch together, holding hands, and at the library together.

He wants to be nosey and ask a whole bunch of questions, but her answer to them wanting to be just friends sufficed enough.          

So, Henry finally got to rant and rave about how tired he is of being Kid Danger sometimes, how much his grades are suffering, and how much he misses being the Three Musketeers with Jasper and Charlotte. He manages to leave out the fact he has a massive crush on her.

Which is hard since she looks really pretty in her forest green sweater, a Santa hat headband, and her hair straightened for her yearly layered haircut.

Charlotte puts her hand over his and does what she does best, makes him feel better while telling him how to go about his next moves to get his life back. After the serious talk is over, they vibe and catch up and Jasper wakes up to join them like it’s old times.

Jasper says his goodbyes to Henry and Charlotte and dashes home to do a weird Christmas ritual with his mother. This leaves Henry and Charlotte awkwardly standing in the doorway and saying their goodbyes with a hug. They smile a little sheepish after they separate, but Charlotte’s eyes briefly glance upwards and slightly widen.

Henry follows her line of sight and notices the culprit of her gaze, mistletoe above the doorframe that had been forgotten.

Henry coughs awkwardly and quickly says goodnight in an attempt to get out of there as soon as possible. Except Charlotte reaches for him and stops him in his tracks.

She’s looking up at him like the last almost kissing incident and Henry just thickly swallows waiting for her next move.

“You know how much I hate breaking holiday traditions.” And Charlotte leans into him and kisses him on the cheek.

Henry knows he’s embarrassingly flushed and his mouth his probably slightly agape, because who is this version Charlotte and why was mistletoe only around on Christmas?

But he’s Henry, so he’s cool and suave (yeah, right), and he smiles and wishes her a good night.

He somehow floats his way home and doesn’t stop thinking about the kiss till he falls asleep.

But the cheek kiss suddenly freaks him out while he’s eating breakfast, because what the heck does it even mean??? Does she like him? Are they on the path to being more than friends? Or does Charlotte really just love holiday traditions and he’s a victim of circumstance?

All the thinking drives him crazy, so he finally turns to Jasper to ask about what any of it means. From the beginning when they almost kissed to now. And unsurprisingly, Jasper just shrugs and says, “I dunno.”

So, Henry remains really conscious about his crush on Charlotte and unsure if their best friendship is in danger (ha, get it? ‘cuz he’s Henry/Kid Danger, yeah okay it’s not funny) or worthy of something more.

It’s up in the air till they kiss in I Dream of Danger and become official. Instead of Charlotte being freaked out by the dreams because of her inability to see Henry in a romantic way, she’s freaked out because she’s afraid of their relationship changing.

They’ve been Henry and Charlotte. The best friends for the longest amount of time. A friend turned romantic relationships usually turn out well, but she’s worried about theirs going down in flames and losing her best friend for the rest of her life.

But Henry reassures her that everything between them is going to be fine whatever path their relationship takes. And they can talk about it later when she’s not feet away from a hungry lion.

So, he rescues her and they don’t kiss, but instead, she hugs him really tight for basically saving her life.

Later on, Henry walks her home since he’s afraid to let her out of his sight now. And they talk a little bit more about their feelings for each other and admit that their relationship has been on its ups and downs.

When they’re at Charlotte’s doorstep, they get awkward since they both got a lot off of their chests in a short amount of time.

Henry has his hands in his pockets. “So, yeah…” he trails off.

She anxiously laughed. “Yeah, so what now?”

“I don’t know. Should we try the whole boyfriend and girlfriend thing?” He’s looking at the ground when he says it since this is the most nervous he’s ever been in his whole life.

“Well, I like you and you like me, so I guess it makes sense?”

“You guess?” Henry laughs.

Charlotte playfully rolls her eyes at him. “You know what I mean.”

They smile really big at each other and banter a little more till the air gets serious again. The conversation truly feels like it’s at its end now, so Henry goes in for the final blow.

“Can I kiss you?” Henry has to ask because hey, we love consent.

Charlotte nods frantically while saying yes.

And then they kiss. It’s terse but sweet and they’re both in astonishment afterward, since wow, I just kissed my best friend and it was actually kind of great.

They awkwardly part ways after that but then we get separate scenes of how happy they are. We get to see Charlotte run upstairs to her bedroom to scream into her pillow in glee. And we get to see Henry jumping up and down in excitement and punching the air. And yeah, Chenry is canon at that point.

Chenry dates officially in front of the audience from the beginning of Season 4. The first episode from that season is Sick & Wired, so we open with Charlotte taking care of a sick Henry and her remaining by his side. Ray thinks they’re lying to hang out together since they’re dating, so he still convinces Jasper to wear a wire and blah blah blah, you’ve probably seen the episode.

And yeah, so imagine official Chenry for all of Season 4 and 5. They’re not super-duper romantic and always engaging in PDA since it’s a self-proclaimed ‘kid’s show’ and I want kids to know that you don’t have to always be kissing and all over each other to be in love or in a relationship.

So, we’d just occasionally see Henry and Charlotte holding hands while sitting on the couch, Henry’s arm around Charlotte’s shoulder, the two of them sharing food and drink, them smiling super big at each other in the background when other characters are talking.

The occasional kiss could involve forehead kisses, cheek kisses, and even hand kisses because those are so wholesome and underrated. Plus, I’d want there to be a running gag that Jasper never gets to see Henry and Charlotte kiss. Since, The Bucket Trap he really wanted to see them kiss, so what’s better than to not have them kiss. It’d also be for Jace and Riele’s sake too not gonna lie. Since I’m sure that’s awkward and people ship them enough in real life.

But yeah, Jasper only sees Chenry holding hands, long hugs, and other romantic shit. And in the last episode, they offer to kiss in front of him to appease him, but there’s a power outage as soon as they go in for it and Jasper misses the whole thing with a dramatic “Noooooo!”

Canon Chenry also means we get a prom episode where they look awesome in a matching tuxedo and dress. We get a Valentine’s episode that lets them go on a date. We’d get graduation day Chenry in their caps and gowns.

Matching costume Chenry for Halloween. Like, imagine the two of them wearing a peanut butter and jelly costume where they’re each a slice of smeared bread. And Jasper gets to be a milk carton and maybe his significant other could be a chocolate chip cookie. Idk, I’m just rambling at this point.

If you didn’t already know, last week’s episode of HD had me feeling a little upset in the Chenry department. (See previous post with rant about that) Looking through my asks last night, I was inspired by an ask from @riebellion. So thank you for requesting this dialogue prompt forever ago, I’m just getting around to doing it. 😆

The rhythmic buzzing of her phone against the nightstand is what eventually wakes Charlotte up. Bleary eyed and disoriented she felt around for the device. When she finally disconnected it from the charger and peered at the screen through squinted eyes, she realized that she wasn’t awakened by random notifications from apps. Henry had been calling her repeatedly.

Immediately more alert than before, she sits up against her headboard and clears her throat. Hitting the Call Back button she reaches over to the nightstand again and grabs the bottle of water she leaves there every night. She takes a large swig as the phone dials. The line is mid ring when she hears it get picked up.

“Hello?” Henry’s gravely tone all but whispers.

Swallowing quickly, Char answers, “Hey Hen is everything okay? I see you called me like 5 times but I was sleeping. Does Ray need us for something?”

“No, Ray doesn’t need anything. I was uh...hoping that we could talk.”

“Talk? Dude. It’s three in the morning” Charlotte responds incredulously after glancing at her alarm clock flashing 3:07 in bright red font.

“I know, I know. It’s just that I couldn’t sleep and I really need to talk to you.”

“Can’t this wait until the morning?” Charlotte groans.

“Well as you so elequently informed me. It is the morning.”

“Ha ha. Real cute.”

“Look, please just humor me.”

“OK fine. What’d you wanna talk about?”

“Actually... can we talk in person?”

“Are you serious right now?!” Char whispered shouts.

“I know but I’m kinda...already outside.”

“What?” she asks while throwing the covers over her legs and making her way to the window. Pulling back the curtain, she sees a lanky figure that gives her a stilted wave from their spot below the window.

“What are you doing at my house?”

“I told you that I need to talk to you. Can you please just come down?” he asks. She can see him running his hand through his hair from here.

“Fine” Charlotte huffs. “Give me one second” she says as she backs away and hangs up her pear phone.

Looking around her room she locates her fluffy bunny slippers and slips them on. Then she grabs the first warm article of clothing she sees, a hoodie thrown over her desk chair.

Slipping it over her head, she quickly makes her way down the stairs of her home, careful not to make too much noise. She opens the door and sees that Henry has made his way to the swing on her front porch. He is looking down at the hands in his lap. His thumbs are twirling anxious circles around each other.

Closing the door behind her gently, Charlotte walks over and takes a seat on the opposite end of the swing. Folding one leg beneath her, she turns to face her friend inquisitively. She doesn’t say anything, she figures that he would start since he was the one that interrupted her slumber after all. As she observes his posture, she can feel the nervous energy radiating from him in waves. She places a gentle hand on his knee, hoping to coax him into speech.

He whips his head up at the touch and takes a quick breath in at the sight before him. Taking in every detail, the first thing he makes note of is her hair. She has it up in a style she once told him was called a pineapple, with a satin scarf tied around the front to protect her edges. He sees her eyes, semi-glazed over from the lack of sleep. He notices the oversized blue hoodie that she is wearing, sleeves so long that they cover her hands. She has the bottom situated over her knees.

That’s my jacket. 

Henry stares for a few more seconds, because even just woken up she is beautiful. He gulps and then says the first thing that pops into his mind.

“It looks good on you.”

Giving him a puzzled gaze, Charlotte asks in a sarcastic tone “What looks good on me? Exhaustion?”

Instead of answering verbally, he gestures to her torso.

She glances down at herself and sees that she was wearing Henry’s sweatshirt. She hadn’t even realized it was his in her haste to meet him outside.

“Is this what you woke me up in the middle of the night for?”

He shakes his head then clears his throat. “No. Sorry, I was just distracted by you in my clothes.”

“Why? Did you need this back?” she wonders while starting to pull it up, exposing her toned midriff as her undershirt rides up with the hoodie. He could also now see the small black shorts she was wearing, that were hidden when the garment was on correctly.

“No!” Henry said a touch too loudly while pulling her wrists down to keep her from taking it all the way off. “Keep it. It looks better on you anyway.”

“Okaaayyyy. You’re being really weird Hen” Charlotte states while adjusting the hoodie over her knees once more. “Why are you here?”

Inhaling a deep breath, Henry took the plunge. “Mick Jagger. Are you really dating that guy?”

“That’s definitely not his name. You know his name Henry, you’ve said it.”

“Whatever.”

“Does it matter?”

“It’s just that we didn’t even know that you knew him. Then all of a sudden he’s here. And you’re going on a date? What’s that about?” he asks nervously.

“Well as we discovered earlier, I’ve told you guys several times about Jack. It’s not my fault that you didn’t listen to me.”

“True, it’s just...I feel like we should’ve known that you had a boyfriend.”

“Who said he was my boyfriend?”

“You did, didn’t you?”

“I don’t recall using that particular word.”

“Right. Well does he- does he know about us?”

“Us?”

“Yeah, does he know about...” Henry pauses. “Dream-gate?” he finishes in an exaggerated whisper.

“Dream-gate?” she chuckles. “I thought we decided that those dreams didn’t mean anything.”

“I mean yes- We did. But like, we still- And it was- If I was your-”

“Henry, what is this really about?” Charlotte interrupts his rambling.

“It’s just- what if I want the dreams to mean something?”

Taken aback by his bluntness, Charlotte loses her train of thought. “What do you want them to mean?” she inquires quietly.

Henry slides closer to her. “I don’t know. That we like each other? I mean, I know that I like you.”

She takes some time to truly process his words. “I like you too.”

Henry’s whole face lights up at her declaration. “Really?”

“Really.”

“What about Jack?”

“Who? Oh! Jack. We aren’t together.”

Henry’s face read pure bewilderment. “But what about your date? You fed each other bread earlier.”

“Not real. I just said that to see if it bothered you.”

“Huh. No wonder you guys didn’t have any chemistry” he mumbles under his breath.

“And then when you guys burned down my kitchen-”

Henry winces.

“-and we had to relocate to the ManCave, it was the perfect opportunity to gauge your reaction. I convinced Jack to pretend with me in order to make you jealous.”

“Wow, ok. Because I was confused about you guys supposedly dating this whole time.”

“Yeah, no. Jack’s just a good friend. I do usually cook for him when he visits me though. But it’s only friendly.”

“That makes sense.”

“You know, I prepared Jack for the possibility that you would act snotty towards him. Drop food in his lap, spill his drink on his shirt, that kind of thing.”

“Classic” Henry grins.

“But you didn’t even flinch while you were serving us. I thought I was being delusional about your feelings for me since you didn’t do any of that. You didn’t even seem to care.”

Henry grabs her hands gently. “Of course I cared. I was giving him the stank eye every time you turned your back.”

Charlotte laughs, “For real?”

“Heck yeah. But I couldn’t ruin your date Char. I just wanted you to be happy. Even if it wasn’t with me.”

“Whoa. When did you get so mature?”

“I am a grown man Char.”

Charlotte places a hand on her hip and gives him “the look”.

 After a few moments they break into a fit of giggles. Calming first from their laughing fit, Henry stares at Charlotte with a small smile on his face.

“What?” Char asks when she’s composed herself.

“Can I kiss you?”

“Yes.”

Who was your overall favourite member of Team Danger and why? i will never be able to decide between charlotte and henry (it’s called being bisexual). i relate to charlotte a lot, and she’s a role model for me; she’s smart, she’s bold, she knows what she wants and i really love her for it. henry, on the other hand—there are moments when i’ve disliked him but i’ve watched him grow up, i’ve watched him be a hero for so long and i do still admire him a lot. he’s brave and loyal and he cares so much about people, like i’ll honestly just be soft for him forever. 

Who was your favourite non-team danger character and why? gonna have to go with bose and mika (who count, right?) because they’re both so pure and enthusiastic and i can’t wait to see more of them

Who was your favourite villain and why? definitely twitler. i think he was the only villain that had actual motivation, and he was definitely the least cringey of all of them. he set up high stakes and challenged team danger a lot.

What were your top five favourite Henry Danger episodes of all time and why? ooh, good one. okay i think the finale is my all-time favorite. it just really was the culmination of the core of this show and there were so many amazing moments between all the characters. the actors and writers delivered so hard. second would have to be back to the danger because that episode was solid start to finish. i love the high-stakes episodes, and the time travel was a really cool aspect. third would probably be the three-parter, because again, i love the high stakes episodes, and that one really brought it. fourth would be broken armed and dangerous because it was completely hilarious. and fifth would probably have to be either double o danger, because i loved getting to see them all dressed up and undercover and joss moss was awesome, or i dream of danger because it was charlotte centric and also chenry. honorable mention to danger games entirely because of that scene where all four game shakers fall in love with henry at once. 

What were your top five least favourite Henry Danger episodes of all time and why? not a fan of henry’s birthday because i can’t watch it without getting incredibly pissed; like it’s a well-made episode i just get really upset while watching it. i hated man of the house because the whole ray trying to get with henry’s mom made me suuuper uncomfortable. i did not like one henry three girls because the cheating plot was not it for me, or sick and wired for the same reason as henry’s birthday, and also because that was definitely the episode where dad!ray started to disappear. and captain mom because...nope.

What was your favourite running gag and why? oh god i have so many that i made a full post about this. the hmm thing was awesome, especially the fact that they acknowledged it. i also love the “piper has a license—established” joke 

What was your favourite one-off throw away gag and why? gonna steal @henryhearts answer here and say the cat universe that respected charlotte; also bringing back the bro song from the musical that one time.

What episode, which character and which duo made you laugh the most? episode would definitely be broken armed and dangerous. laugh after laugh. the arm fashion show? the part where henry’s like “i’m plum-tuckered!”? the sign language interpreter? peak. character would be henry because i LOVE the way he reacts to stuff, like when he does his little *hand clasp* “there is something wrong with you” or like “dude, dude, dude, dude, dude—”. duo would probably be ray and henry because bose was right, their banter is hilarious.

What episode, which character and which duo made you the most emotional? episode would be the finale, and i feel like i don’t have to explain myself there. character would also be henry, like, the whole “i was thirteen!” thing and the fact that he’s given so much to this makes me want to cry sometimes. duo would be chenry because they’ve been together since the beginning and i have way too many feelings about them.

How would you rank each season from 1 to 5, one being the best and five being the worst? this is difficult, because i think season 5 is my favorite overall because of it had so many solid episodes and high stakes and good plots, but there were also sooo many things i didn’t like. still! i think it takes the top spot. after that would be season 2, just because it was really fun and fresh and in that stage where they’d started to figure things out as a show but weren’t getting cocky just yet. then probably season 3, then 1, then 4, because that season didn’t really have anything that stood out to me besides back to the danger. 

Who was your favourite duo in the show (romantic or non-romantic)? chenry, but hensper and chasper were both very close seconds

What was your favourite Henry and Ray moment/episode? blimp scene and i don’t think it’s necessary for me to elaborate

What was your favourite Chenry moment/episode? toss up between the lion scene in idod and the time jerker because of “this is for you, char” and the hug at the end

What was your favourite Hensper moment/episode? when jasper found out oh my god. that was SO good. also love muffin and “as henry’s best friend...and soulmate”

What was your favourite Chensper moment/episode? oh god The Scene in the finale when henry is telling char to get out of there and she’s not leaving him and jasper has to carry her out and it just shows how much they all care for each other. and the fact that they all went to dystopia together!

If you could go back and change one element of the show, what would it be? RESPECT. CHARLOTTE. PERIOD. (i would change a lot of ray’s character as a whole, especially season 4/5 tbh)

If you could say one thing to each main character in the pilot, what would it be? i would tell the trio to stick together, appreciate each other, and don’t forget to be kids. i would tell ray not to bring a 13 year old kid who doesn’t have powers into this.

If you could say one thing to each main character in the finale, what would it be? i’m proud of you

Were you satisfied with the finale? What part was your favourite and what part was your least favourite? yes. i think overall there are always going to be things they could have handled better. but i’m happy with the way it ended. i think it’s fitting and wonderful and i felt good. favorite part would be the entire part in the finale with henry arguing with ray about who’s going to go down and later with char and jasper for them to leave. partially because i’m a glutton for angst, but also because the actors put so much into it and it was a real display of emotion and feels, and it showed henry’s selflessness and heroic nature so plainly. least favorite was the fact that char never got an apology from ray.

What would your ideal Henry danger spin off look like? dystopia!!!!!!!! the trio fighting crime in dystopia but it’s pg-13 and also they’re falling in love. also they sometimes come back to visit ray and mentor the danger force kids.

Where do you personally see the characters 10 years from now? What are they doing, who are they with, where are they in their lives - what do you think happened to them? Most importantly, are they happy? i think the trio is going to be living and fighting crime together for a while. char runs a charity on the side, jasper does photography, and henry is a botanist. but they’re first and foremost a team. piper runs a media company and ray and schwoz are being parents to the DF kids. they all still have thanksgivings together and yes, they’re all very happy.

What was your favourite part of the show and why did it initially draw you in? so i watched the thundermans right before this, and the whole reason i got into it was because i love anything superhero related but i wanted something lighthearted instead of my usual gritty dctv shows. i stayed for the humor and because the kids were cute, and yeah i did develop a crush on henry as the seasons went on. sue me.

What was your favourite part of the fandom and why did it initially draw you in? the people are so! freaking! supportive! i made some really amazing friends through this fandom, and everyone is sooo talented and kind and just unproblematic as hell. i love it.

Describe your overall emotions/feelings regarding the show being over and the show in general, looking back on it as a whole, with one quote from the show. the iconic “feels good”

If you were able to add one scene in the finale, what would you add? charlotte getting a goddamn apology and some recognition. also i would’ve liked to see the in-between of the blimp crash and the funeral, aka henry reuniting with ray, jasper, and char after they all thought he was dead

Favorite outfit/hair style? i LOVED the trio’s looks in the epilogue. char’s outfits every single episode? their looks in double o danger. piper and henry’s sister twister outfits were also very cute. for each character: i like char’s braids, henry with the curly hair he had in the finale, jasper in a crop top, ray’s bangs and blazer, and that one time schwoz was in a leotard and tutu.

Least favorite character? mine would be jake hart, and i feel like that’s another one of those things that doesn’t need an explanation

Hey party people! Sorry I’ve been a bit out of the loop. Due to what’s going on in the world, adulting sorta got in the way and I have to DVR the final episode. No one tagged me, but I just wanted to add my two cents since this is officially the end and this is a really cute tag.

1. Who was your overall favorite member of Team Danger and why?

Charlotte hands down. She was brilliant, sassy and just a great friend to Henry no matter what. She’s one of the main reasons why I decided to tune into the show. I saw a lot of myself in her. I was once that little smart black girl that no one listened too. But it’s okay though, but that GLOW UP is real! I know from experience lol.

Y'all know I love Fran the security guard. She should’ve gotten more air time. I just think she’s hilarious! I’d loved to see her try to wrestle a dolphin any day!

3. Who was your favorite villain and why?

Dr. Minyak & Nurse Cohort. I just gotta respect his hustle. Other than Rex and Rick Twitler, I feel like he’s the only everyday villain who always came close to defeating Captain Man & Kid Danger. He always had unique plans; from capturing and brain-altering Charlotte to taking Piper and the man fan hostage, he was always creative. Plus I love his little temper tantrums he sometimes throws. 

4. What were your top five favorite Henry Danger episodes of all time and why?

1) All time Fav would go to The Great Cactus Con. From the dopeyness of how everyone can do a backflip instead of Ray. How Charlotte gets to show off her fashion design skills. How Piper unofficially works with Team Danger. Plus I love the cute romantic bit between Jasper and Patina. 2) Rumblr- That whole episode was just comedy gold for me. They should’ve brought Kyle back for the finale and had him show up at kid danger’s funeral  3) I dream of Danger - Its Char’s episode. I like how it alluded to Charlotte’s dream might come true but it doesn’t. However, I don’t like how they just moved on like the episode never happened even when Jasper thinks that char likes him. 4) Flabber Gassed- I love that char got to show off her fighting skills and how happy Jasper was to be a superhero. 5) Holey Moley- I straight up die for laughter every time I see that episode. I love how Henry kept saying, “oh look, a downside.” I feel like that episode would have been a sketch on All That or the Amanda Show. It just felt like good ole Nickelodeon comedy.

5. What were your top five least favorite Henry Danger episodes of all time and why?

1) Henry’s Birthday- Call me a diva, but if anyone treated me like that on my birthday, the party is OVER! 2) Captain Makini (I think that's what it’s called). Sorry, I'm not really a fan of Frankie Grande and though he was great for the musical, I really don’t think he needed a second episode. 3) Meet Cute Crush- I’m sorry, anything involving Piper is just physical and emotionally draining. All that girl does is yell. Thank u, next. 4) Sick & Wired- Because I got sick and tired of Ray’s shenanigans. 5) JAM Session- Now Piper isn’t my favorite character, but how that girl was manipulated all over a bet was just stupid and disrespectful.

6. What was your favorite running gag and why?

1) Fran’s line, “There’s only one in the whole world, and we got it!” Swellview must be a fun, mysterious place that always gets amazing things lol. 2) When everyone says “Click” before hanging up their phone. I find it funny because I’m pretty sure the kids had never owned a flip phone in their lives.

7. What was your favorite one-off throw away gag and why?

When shwoz referenced his song from the musical when he said, “Science, science, science, I’ve said this already.” I think he said this in Theranos boot. And also the grammar fights and how grammar rules don’t apply to Charlotte lol.

8. What episode, which character and which duo made you laugh the most?

I think Holey Moley & Rumblr both made me laugh the most. Those were great episodes. Jasper would have to be the funniest. That boy says the darndest things lol. Hensper. Because of how Henry loved Jasper’s mustache and wanted to get one too. And when Jasper and Henry were both “Dude. Bro. Dude. Bro. DUDE!” Over the Patina situation and Charlotte had to break them up.

9. What episode, which character and which duo made you the most emotional?

I think it was Second episode of the finale episodes, when Henry was freaking out at the end because he was alone and Rex had sent Ray A Million and one years into the past. The fact that he literally had to think like all of his friends because obviously that’s what he was used to, everyone being there to help figure out a plan and keep swellview safe. And the fact that for that moment he was kid danger and all alone was really scary for him.

10. How would you rank each season from 1 to 5, one being the best and five being the worst?

I would rank season 5 as 1. It overall had great episodes and delved into different genres and fun tv and movie tropes. It made it a joy to watch, though some episodes leading towards the end didn’t quite catch me. Season 4 would be like a high 4 but not exactly a 5. Season 3 was sorta Meh to me. So maybe a #.  Season 2 would be a 4 and season 1 would be like a 4 because it was a the beginning to a great show and was still working out the kinks a bit.

11. Who was your favorite duo in the show (romantic or non-romantic)?

Chenry 100%. The friendship that those two have is great! Now I must say, I hate that Nick was still posting about them on their youtube page for clout knowing that it wasn’t gonna happen. I felt like they did that just so people would watch the final episodes. I was gonna watch regardless, but really Nick? Really?

12. What was your favorite Henry and Ray moment/episode?

The bro song! Plus I love that it kept getting referenced after the musical as well.

13. What was your favorite Chenry moment/episode?

 When Char was controlling  Henry in flabber gassed, she made him jump up and down while clapping! I love that even shwoz joined in too lol. And when Henry was concerned about her after she ate bad meat from the auto snacker.

14. What was your favorite Hensper moment/episode?

The mustache scene from Grand Theft Otto, “dude if I had one, I’d be Man Danger!”

15. What was your favorite Chensper moment/episode?

This also kinda includes Ray but when they were all stealing Joss Ross’s gift from her birthday party and they were just casually leaving. And how Jasper kept saying, “It’s not stealing if it’s from a criminal.” Plus I like the episode when Hen and Char have to pretend to date just to see if Jasper would keep their secret. The boy poured a whole bowl of pees down his shirt lmaoooo!!

16. If you could go back and change one element of the show, what would it be?

 Have Ray grow up and stop fawning over Henry’s mom. It was just plain creepy! Oh and put some respect on my girl Charlotte’s name.

17. If you could say one thing to each main character in the pilot, what would it be?

Life isn’t always about one day getting a statue, (I’m looking at YOU Captain Man). Crime-fighting is fun and being a sidekick could literally every kid’s dream. But don’t forget to be a kid. Hangout with your friends, go to school, go on dates. Do the whole growing up thing. But at the end of the day, you have to do what’s best for you.

18. If you could say one thing to each main character in the finale, what would it be?

Thank you for sharing your lives with me and I am so so sooo proud of you all! 

19. Were you satisfied with the finale? What part was your favorite and what part was your least favorite?

 Honestly, I think it was okay for what it was. My fav part was when Jasper literally had to carry Char out of the mancave because she refused to leave Henry behind. I love that they decided to stick together. They did leave a lot of storylines open. I thought Joss Moss would be revealed as the real Mob boss. I thought Rick Twitler would regain his memory. Where the heck is Gooch? Caitlin? Chenry (for obvious reasons). I'm just spitballing here. Was it good? Yes. could it have been better? Hell yes.

20. What would your ideal Henry danger spin off look like?

 Charlotte and Henry have powers and Jasper can fight! Dystopia. That was the spin-off that I wanted! I don’t really care about the new kids as much. They’re college-aged too? Just imagine the shenanigans they would get into! But we need to kick the Charlotte hating writer off the staff though. Can The CW pick this show up?

21. Where do you personally see the characters 10 years from now? What are they doing, who are they with, where are they in their lives - what do you think happened to them? Most importantly, are they happy?

 I honestly haven’t thought about it. But I believe no matter what they do or where they may end up, they will be happy. They’ll probably always be a team.

22. What was your favorite part of the show and why did it initially draw you in?

It became an escape from my normal adult life. (I’m saying like I’m old. I’m only 23.) I randomly flipped it on one day, I can't remember what episode it was, but from then on, I was hooked. I used to watch it a while back, but I fell off, but at that moment on time, it was easy for me to fall right back into it.

23. What was your favourite part of the fandom and why did it initially draw you in?

The friends I’ve made, the people have met! They are the best out of all the fandoms I’m a part of. I’ve been on tumblr for years and never had I have a group of people be so nice, supportive and just incorporate me into things. I love you guys so much!

24. Describe your overall emotions/feelings regarding the show being over and the show in general, looking back on it as a whole, with one quote from the show.

It’s a bittersweet feeling. I hate to see it go. But all good things must come to an end. But I guess there’s nothing better to say than, “Feels Good.”

25. If you were able to add one scene in the finale, what would you add?

 I don’t know honestly. Maybe we could have seen him reunite with his friends and family. Especially Charlotte and Jasper, Afterall, they probably thought that their best friend was dead for all they knew.

26. Favorite outfit/hair style?

 Charlotte’s Date outfit with Jack Swagger. Sis was rockin that romper. Also when Jasper and Charlotte were helper bunnies! Those outfits were hilarious and cute.

27.Least favorite character?

I'm sorry but Piper. She was worse than the whole annoying little sister trope. I swear all ash did was yell through most of the seasons and then they gave this chick a driver’s license, I mean what?? Plus i think her reaction to finding out Henry was kid danger was better in Broken Armed and Dangerous, than in twisted sister.

Who was your overall favourite member of Team Danger and why? it’s a toss up between Henry and Charlotte if im completely honest. I always love the girl character in everything and Charlotte was everything I wanted but I also always loved Henry coz he was one of the only main characters I've ever found likeable in a show before

Who was your favourite non-team danger character and why? Mary Debbie Gaberman because she was funny and put up with Trent’s shit

What would your ideal Henry danger spin off look like? a teen rated dystopia spinoff of the trio fighting crime vigilante style with habit of chenry also get jasper a boyfriend

Most importantly, are they happy? I think the trio will still be fighting crime together well into their twenties/ thirties, piper has started a successful company and ray and schwoz are still running the school. Regarding Henry, there are some small things makes me thinks he has romantic feelings for charlotte. he always so close to her (no personal space), cave the date: Henry said "Oh this guy gets it" it seem like sarcasm & Charlotte gave him a look (jealous perhaps) In escape room: when he said hello my little cuties (why look straight at charlotte) game of phones: was there a need to help charlotte down the stairs. They may not be endgame, but I hope the last episodes continue having their moments.

Hmm I don’t necessarily think that all means anything explicitly romantic. Some of those could be moments, sure, but when they’re barely there like that and really just a wishful reading of the scenes, it’s clearly not the intention. This is a story being written that’s played out by actors. If the writers wanted to have romantic tension between them, it could happen very easily with a line here or there, or actual attention being put on their dynamic. 

That being said, they’re still close friends and I think it goes without saying that they’ll continue to love and support each other and have actual moments. Personally, the ideal way to end on Chenry without rushing it now would be to have Henry realize he doesn’t want to be left behind by her (and Jasper) since they’re leaving Swellview after high school. And he just realizes that she has always been there for him, and that she balances him and he needs that. It could be an implication for something more in the future, or just a general thing that’s left open-ended, but just giving them that moment one-on-one, or even a line to Ray about it when they’re having their big fight.
