FORMER MANAGER
PART 5: PURITY.
Tumblr media
Mashiro x Male Reader (4K length)
You observed your face in the reflection of the bathroom mirror, your messy hair, the marks of the sheets on your cheeks and some visible dark circles bordering your eyes, it definitely had not been your best night. You had barely slept, tossing and turning in bed all night while your head was spinning around the scene with Jang Wonyoung.
The image of her crying wouldn't disappear from your mind no matter how hard you tried, but how did this happen in the first place? The last memory you had of her was when you said goodbye years ago before returning home, back then she also cried, but this time it was totally different, her look of disappointment on you disturbed you even more than her tears.
You catched some water from the sink, throwing it over your face, trying to clear yourself up and wake up a little, because you had to continue with your life and your work, you would find a free time lapse to be able to fix this problem.
You showered, fixed your hair, and hid the traces of a terrible night on your face as well as you could before getting dressed and leaving your apartment heading to the company.
You arrived at the building where as soon as you entered, your boss was waiting for you, folder in hand, and while you both walked he explained the itinerary of the day and the schedule for the upcoming weeks. Kep1er’s members had returned from their last shows abroad, there had been a few changes at the management level, and a new comeback was already planned, so the work was going to be hard and intense.
Both of you stopped in front of one of the practice rooms, a light touch of your coworker knuckles on the door and you entered inside, a group of girls who were stretching stared at you.
“Good morning girls.” Your partner began to speak. “Before starting preparations for this new album I want to introduce you to your new full-time manager, starting on today he will take care of all of you and about everything you need.” He exclaimed, indicating for you to introduce yourself to them with a gesture of his hand.
You bowed them instantly. “Nice to meet you! I will be at your service from now on, I hope we get along well.” You said a little nervous, a feeling that disappeared when you saw the smiles and applause they offered you. “Nice to meet you, please treat us well!” They all said in unison bowing to you aswell.
"Good." Your boss interrupted. “The dance teacher will come right away to show you and start practicing the new choreographies, I hope the best from all of you. “Fighting!” He said with his fist, before handing you the information folder and leaving the room.
You watched him leave and when you looked back you jumped when you realized how the Kep1er girls had surrounded you, occupying any personal space you could have, their eyes analyzing you carefully.
"Hello!" One of them greeted with a huge smile on her face. “I'm the leader Yujin, nice to meet you, it's incredible, it's the first time I have such a young manager.” You smiled shyly, uncomfortable with the circle of people that had formed around you.
“Wow, can I call you oppa?” A girl with pink hair and rounded cheeks asked next to her, if you were not mistaken it was Kim Chaehyun, you nodded affirmatively at her question causing her to laugh.
You noticed that penetrating eyes were focused on you to the point that you realized that gaze was passing through you, you made eye contact with it, increasing your nervousness.
“Is something wrong, Xiaoting?” You asked softly making the mentioned girl blink a few times. “Do you know my name already?” She questioned surprised. “Our new manager has studied a lot!” Dayeon shouted, starting to laugh and causing the rest of the members to laugh.
“Look at his dark eyes, he sure hasn't been able to sleep all night!” Hikaru joked, releasing one of her particular laughs that resonated throughout the room, increasing the volume and joy of the rest of the members.
These girls were really loud and restless, they were going to give you a lot of headaches, yet a smile was drawn on your lips and for a while you forgot about the rest of your problems.
The dance teacher appeared and the morning passed with the girls memorizing and practicing the new choreographies, so you took the opportunity to go to your office to work on other aspects such as contacting the wardrobe team, making venue reservations where the filming would be done, hire the recording equipment.
The days went by and with the amount of work you had it was impossible to even think about Wonyoung. Your relationship with the members of Kep1er was improving and due to the characteristics of these girls, in just a week it seemed like you had been together since their debut, and that was something that relieved you and made everything much more enjoyable.
This day in question the girls would spend it in the recording studio, testing their vocals and recording the songs for the new album, so really your presence there was not very significant so your task for the day was to clean and organize everything in the house.
If you already hated doing housework, doing it in a home full of girls made you hate it excessively. A multitude of clothes scattered throughout the rooms, boxes and cardboard in every corner.
You were infinitely grateful to Bahiyyih for trying to keep the house in order, saving you some work, but the whirlwind that was Chaehyun Dayeon and Hikaru was simply unstoppable.
You finished off the apartment Yujin Bahiyyih Chaehyun and Xiaoting shared and headed upstairs to start cleaning the next one. You hadn't been there for long but there was a room that you had not yet accessed, it was a two-bed bedroom that did not belong to anyone in the group but that had serious signs of having been habited before, it was perfectly arranged and there were still clothes hanging in the closet.
You inspected said clothes, leaving them on one of the beds, you opened the drawers looking to know what, and this really had you confused.
“W-W-Who are you? What are you doing with my clothes?” A sudden voice surprised and scared you, almost making you fall on the bed when you turned to look at the door frame of the room, finding a small girl with brown hair and a rather cute appearance carrying a cardboard box in her hands, looking at you in a scared way.
“That's what I should ask, how did you get in here? The door has a password, and what's with your clothes?” You were trying to appear as calm as possible but you were really uneasy with that presence.
“Don't tell me…A SASAENG!” You both shouted at the same time, pointing your fingers at each other.  "WHAT? ME?" Now your fingers were pointing towards yourselves.
“It's over I'm going to call the police.” The girl said, dropping the box and taking her mobile phone out of her pants pocket.
“That's exactly what I'm going to do, look at this.” You said, taking out the company ID, surprising the girl.
"Huh?"
.
.
.
.
“I'm sorry again, I had no idea you were the new manager.” The girl said with her head down, looking at the ground, feeling guilty for the previous misunderstanding.
“The mistake was mine for not having recognized you before, Mashiro-shi.” Now you knew who this room belonged to.
Apparently, and after left the grou, both Mashiro and Yeseo had been terribly busy with their new group and their own activities that they had been coming and going to the house making small moves of their things. However some things of their property were still there.
“If you need help with your…”
“Oh no no, please, I'm sure you're very busy, I don't want to bother you.” She commented, making notable gestures with her hands. You smiled at how adorable that was.
“The rest of the members say that you and Yeseo will continue to be part of Kep1er forever…” You commented, bending down to pick up the cardboard box from the floor and put it on the bed, opening it. “So now I'm also your manager, okay Mashiro-chan?” You smiled warmly at her causing her cheeks to turn a deep pink color.
“O-O-Okay” She agreed shyly, approaching you and helping you pack more clothes from her closet.
Together you cleared out the closet and packed all the clothes, and you organized the rest of the room and cleaned it. You glanced at Mashiro from time to time, even with that strange first impression you had with her, you really thought she was a super adorable girl. Her small stature, her beautiful face and the dimples that were marked on her cheeks reaffirmed it.
“What do you think of the members?” She asked casually while doing her task, your gaze drifted towards the ceiling, sketching a slight smile after a few seconds of thought.
“Noisy.” You responded simply causing her to giggle, covering her mouth with one of her hands.
“I understand you perfectly.” She supported you.
“But they are really amazing.” You continued. “They spend the day laughing and making a fuss but they don't lower the effort they put into their practices one bit, sometimes I envy them. I would also like to enjoy my work like they do.” Out of the corner of my eye you could notice a small smile melancholy on her face, so you decided not to say anything else and continue with the cleaning.
You walked over to one of the nightstands next to one of the beds to open the drawers, see what they kept and see if there was anything else that needed to be packed.
“Don't open that!” Mashiro screamed hysterically, throwing herself on the bed trying to stop you but you had already opened the drawer. You looked at her confused, even more so when she threw her hands over her face trying to hide herself, while her ears turned red.
You looked down, looking at the vibrator that was inside the drawer, blushing too and quickly moving away, falling on your ass to the floor.
"I'm sorry."  You whispered embarrassed, unable to look up, noticing how your face was burning.
“Noooooo…how embarrassing.” Mashiro sobbed, rolling on the bed. You grabbed a lock of your hair, analyzing the situation, looking for the right words for a moment like this.
“There is nothing to be ashamed of Mashiro, it is something totally normal for someone your age and…Mashiro?” You were absorbed as you looked up to see directly at the girl who was still sobbing, covering her face with one hand, while the other was now rubbing her crotch over her pants. So those sounds weren't sobs, they were moans.
You saw how she relaxed her body and lie down on the bed. The hand that covered her face no longer did so, she was now looking at you clearly, intently, a look very different from what you had seen from her before.
Tumblr media
“It has been such a hard, stressful and emotional weeks. Leaving one group to enter another, new members, comeback, and performances. Even now all the responsibility of being a leader falls on my shoulders.”
“Mashiro…” Your words were interrupted by a new moan.
“And I forgot my stress reliever during the move, I tried using my fingers but they didn't have the same effect…” You turned your gaze to the vibrator and took it in your hands, Mashiro's eyes did not take their eyes off the device. You turned it on, listening to the vibrations it produced, making Mashiro groan in despair.
“You said before that you were also my manager…” The Japanese girl began to say. “So, I need your help, manager oppa, please…” You swallowed after hearing that request of deep need in her tone of voice.
You stood up and approached the bed, sitting on the edge near Mashiro, who lowered the zipper of her sweatshirt a little, revealing a bit of the shirt she was wearing underneath and then, moving against the bed, she managed to lower her pants until her underwear was visible.
“You are very wet Mashiro-chan.” You commented looking at the huge stain that had appeared on her panties. “You really are so needy…”
She didn't respond but she brought her hand back to where the stain was now, caressing herself again with circular movements, closing her eyes enjoying her own touch.
When she stopped she opened her eyes to look deeply at you, eyes that were screaming for your help. You sighed and got even closer to her body, vibrator in hand, gently bringing it to her desired area, coming into contact causing Mashiro's back to arch due to excitement.
“Yes, please…” She continued asking needily.
You pushed aside the fabric of her panties, visualizing her wonderful pink pussy completely flooded that was crying out for pleasure.
The sex toy now caressed Mashiro's folds mercilessly, forcing her to moan loudly, her eyes closed again enjoying the waves of pleasure that ran through her body.
That scene was fucking erotic for you, so much so that a huge bulge peeked out from between your pants. With your free hand you managed to free that bulge from outside your clothes, however it was somewhat difficult to satisfy both of you at the same time.
A naughty idea crossed your mind. If you were busy offering pleasure to Mashiro she was free to give it to you, so you took her hand closest to you and placed it around your cock.
Upon feeling that she opened her eyes again, offering you a small smile when she knew your intentions, grabbing your penis tightly and beginning to move her hand up and down constantly.
“Oppa hentai…” She whispered, biting her lip, watching how she was masturbating you.
“It's your fault in the first place…” You responded, emitting the occasional small moan caused by her touch, and lowering the zipper of her sweatshirt completely with your free hand, allowing yourself to caressing her stomach and her hips.
You threw the vibrator to the side of the bed and began to caress her pussy with your own hand, separating her folds with your fingers and inserting a couple of them inside causing a squeal of surprise from her.
“Shit oppa…it feels so good…”
“A girl as adorable as you talking so dirty.” You said increasing the pace of your caresses on her pussy, feeling how your hand became wet with Mashiro's fluids.
“You love when I talk dirty, right oppa?” She asked continuing the caresses on your penis. “It hasn't stopped growing…”
You smiled, leaning over her body, placing a few kisses across her bare stomach. She released her grip on your cock to allow you to position yourself more comfortably on top of her, slipping your hands under her shirt touching everything within reach.
Mashiro slowly melted under your body, moaning louder and louder as your fingers caressed her tits. She was breathing heavily and her hair fell over her forehead giving it an even sexier touch, her entire face was flushed and hot.
Due to the constant movement of your bodies on each other there was a moment where your cock rubbed against Mashiro's pussy, tensing her body and placing her hands against your chest, pushing you away slightly.
You raised an eyebrow in confusion, realizing how hot this whole scene had become and how you had gotten carried away with it.
“I'm sorry if I…
“I have only used that vibrator… I have never had anything inside me beyond my fingers, I am completely a virgin.” She admitted, looking away embarrassed.
"It’s okay." You whispered softly, offering her a smile, caressing her right cheek with your hand. She took your hand and let herself be caressed by you.
“It's really strange and we just met...but I feel very comfortable with you, oppa. Although I don't think I'm ready to cross that line yet, I'm sorry.”
“You don't have to apologize for anything.”  You leaned your head over her, kissing her lips, being instantly reciprocated by her, lightly biting her lower lip, drawing a moan from her and allowing your tongue to explore every corner of Mashiro's mouth.
“Oppa.” A thread of saliva separated your mouth from Mashiro's. “I need an orgasm.”
You smiled, recovering the vibrator lost in some corner of the bed, activating it again, this time with more power making the girl's body tremble.
“OH FUCK!” Squeals and moans came non-stop from the idol's mouth as you rubbed the toy again and again over her weak area.
You alternated the vibrator with the caresses that you provided with your hands. You lay down on the bed next to Mashiro without stopping masturbating her, she quickly took your cock again with one of her hands and now you were both pleasuring each other.
You inserted two of your fingers inside her completely tight pussy, stretching it slightly feeling her walls contract against your fingers. The girl's hips moved unconsciously as the moans did not stop and her grip on your cock tightened.
You then stroked her clit with your thumb, which was like touching the self-destruct button on Mashiro's body. You touched and pressed her clit as much as you could until her back arched again and a huge scream escaped her mouth.
Her body hit the mattress again, her chest rising and falling excitedly. It took her a few seconds to catch her breath and recover from that orgasm, she turned to look at you and you quickly wiped away some tears that were now flowing from her eyes with your hand.
“God…you're better than any toy, oppa.” Despite continuing to pant, her smile was wide, she laughed at herself for the situation she found herself in.
You laughed, also flattered but somewhat embarrassed by her comment. You tried to get up to get out of bed but Mashiro immediately stopped you and forced you to lie down, surprising you with her sudden reaction.
“Wait, you're not done yet.” She said and then you looked down at your penis.
“Please let me help you, oppa.” Mashiro demanded in distress, because she had been able to free herself thanks to your touch and you, on the other hand, were still hard.
How were you going to refuse that, you thought, lowering the clothes that covered your lower area to your ankles, leaving your member in full view. Mashiro was stunned to see it like that.
“It's even bigger…” She whispered, wrapping her hand around it again, beginning to cover it completely and therefore starting the massage.
You let out a moan and bit your lip. Under normal conditions it would take you long enough to cum to get a long treatment, but the hard work of these last few days had taken its toll on you too. You hadn't downloaded for days, even weeks, and none of the Iz*One girls had crossed your path during this time, so you and your friend were especially sensitive at the moment.
That Mashiro was inexperienced was obvious, not only because she had confessed to being a virgin, it was obvious that it was the first time she had masturbated someone.
She did it delicately but nervously, her hand trembled on your cock, so you decided to help her, placing one of your hands on hers, guiding her on top of you. This helped her to calm down and gain confidence, copying the rhythm that you were setting.
You moved your hand away once you saw her more prepared and in response to that she wrapped her other hand around your penis as well.
Now both of the girl's hands were working on your erect dick, covering the entire length between them, with slow and delicate movements that made you shudder.
Your moans began to get uncontrolled due to her touch, giving her more and more encouragement and causing the pace of masturbation to increase.
Her two hands worked now at high speed on your penis, with enveloping movements, noticing how it swelled and began to tremble.
“Shit...Mashiro-chan I'm about to...” You couldn't finish the warning when the first shot was propelled upwards, surprising the girl by seeing that white liquid escape from the tip of your penis.
After the first, the rest of the shots followed, progressively decreasing the intensity with each one until finally there was not a single drop left inside you.
Mashiro's hands raised the skin of your penis one last time, observing the brilliance that the tip of your penis now offered. Finally she let you go and you were able to sit up on the bed, seeing the mess that had formed on your abdomen, now covered in your own sperm.
You diverted your gaze towards Mashiro whose eyes did not stop observing that increasingly sticky area.
You moved your hand towards it, taking some of the sperm with your fingers and looked back at the girl, who now looked back at you.
"Do you want to try it?" You asked, smiling sideways, sneaking into her thoughts. She did not utter a word due to shyness and embarrassment but nodded affirmatively.
You brought your fingers closer to her face and she closed her eyes, opening her mouth, allowing you to insert them inside, licking and tasting your seed. Her tongue moved between your fingers, wetting them but absorbing all the liquid they were impregnated with.
She opened her mouth again for you to remove your fingers and you looked at each other.
"It is...you are...you taste delicious..." She admitted self-consciously but happy and satisfied. “C-C-Can I take some more?”
A few seconds later you had Mashiro leaning over you licking all the remains of sperm that were on your abdomen and thighs. That was making you hard again but you knew you had a line that you must not to cross.
The idol's tongue cleaned you completely, savoring every last bit of liquid she could get, repeating to herself how delicious it tasted. Once she was over with you, you left the room for a moment to go to the bathroom, cleaning yourself and put your clothes back on properly, when you returned Mashiro was also dressed.
You inserted the vibrator into the cardboard box, camouflaged between several layers of clothing, and took it into your arms, despite the girl's insistence that she could carry the box.
You went down together to the street, parked there was one of Mashiro's new group's cars waiting to pick her up.
"Thanks for everything, manager oppa." Mashiro smiled sweetly at you.
"Keep this between us, okay?" She nodded briskly heading to the car, turning around before opening the door.
"I'll think about you the next time." Those words caught you off guard, making you blush.
You watched as the car disappeared into the distance of the street, blending into the traffic. You sighed and walked back up the stairs to the apartment, there was still a lot to clean.
Just when you were about to grab the broom again the phone in your pocket started ringing, you picked up after reading the name of the caller and brought it to your ear.
“Finally, I only had to call you 7 times to get a callback.” You heard a sleepy yawn from the other side.
“I've been non-stop for months, many performances, shootings, ceremony awards, and exhausting trips, you know. I deserved a good restful sleep…of 14 hours.”
“Of course, we must keep the star Ahn Yujin in good condition.” Your laughter dissipated as you took a more serious tone. “I need to talk to you.”
“Yeah, I know. See you in like 1 hour? I will send you the location.”
“Sure, see you.”
You hung up the call and heaved a long sigh, rushing to get all the work done. You had a date in an hour.

Tangled in Paradise: Chapter 3
my masterlist ~ previous chapters
warnings: oral f!recieving heheheh dirty talk joel is a dirty sexy bastard?! also sorry if its toooo longgg
Tumblr media
The next morning, you woke to an empty bed, the sheets beside you cool and undisturbed. You rolled over, squinting at your phone. 10 a.m. “Shit,” you muttered, groaning as you stretched your arms overhead.
The sound of the door opening made you sit up, the grogginess quickly melting away. Joel walked in, his hands full—one holding a drink carrier, the other a bottle of water.
He looked maddeningly good for so early in the morning. His skin was sun-kissed, his hair just slightly messy like he’d already been out and about, and that damn t-shirt, snug across his broad shoulders, did nothing to help your situation.
“Hey,” he said, flashing you that easy, devastatingly handsome smile. “You’re awake.”
“Yeah,” you replied, your voice still raspy from sleep as you rubbed your eyes. “Sorry for sleeping in.”
“Don’t apologize,” Joel said, shaking his head as he crossed the room. “We’re on vacation. You’re allowed to sleep in.”
Before you could respond, Joel sat down on the edge of the bed, the mattress dipping slightly under his weight. He reached over, setting a cup on your nightstand with a soft clink.
“Iced vanilla latte,” he said, his voice warm but casual, as if this wasn’t the sweetest gesture in the world. “And water. Figured you’d need it.”
Your heart stuttered, the ache from earlier dissolving into a wave of warmth that spread through your chest. “Joel,” you murmured, reaching for the latte. The condensation cooled your fingers as you held it, and you glanced up at him. “That’s sweet—you didn’t have to.”
He shrugged, his lips twitching into a lopsided grin that made your stomach flip. “Ain’t nothin’,” he said, but the way his gaze stayed on yours—steady, almost searching—betrayed the weight behind his words. “Anyway, Maria and Tommy left for a hike… like five hours ago. Apparently, they’re tryin’ to be one of those couples.”
You laughed, shaking your head. “God, they’re ambitious.”
“Or insane,” Joel added with a smirk, leaning back farther until his weight shifted onto one arm. His eyes flicked over you, a soft intensity in them that sent a small thrill down your spine. “So, I guess it’s just you and me for a while.”
Joel’s lips curved into that slow, wicked smile, the one that always made your pulse skip. He reached out, his fingers brushing over your knee lightly before retreating just as quickly.
You arched a brow, holding his gaze as you sipped your drink again. “What’d you have in mind?”
"Well," he drawled, his tone casual but his eyes glinting with something warmer, "we could sit by the pool. You could read me one of those romance novels you’re always pretending not to like," he added, nodding toward the book resting on your side table.
Your jaw dropped in mock offense, and he laughed, leaning back as if he’d scored a point.
“Joel Miller, I do not pretend.”
“Oh, you definitely do,” he teased, his voice rich and smooth. “Let me guess—billionaire bad boy falls for the sweet, innocent girl? Sound familiar?”
You smirked, shaking your head. “Wow, somebody’s projecting.”
“Hardly,” he shot back, his grin widening. “I’m more of a ‘charming Texan sweeps her off her feet’ kinda guy.”
You couldn’t help but laugh, shaking your head as you set your drink down. “You’re insufferable.” You bit your lip, trying not to smile too wide.
“Fine,” you relented, brushing a hand through your hair. “Pool it is. But I’m not reading to you.”
⋆🌺˚.⋆ꪆৎ.🐚⋆❀˖°
You bit your lip, turning toward the full-length mirror in the corner of the room. The bikini was flattering—more than flattering, really—but no matter how you adjusted the straps or smoothed the fabric over your hips, that familiar knot of self-consciousness tightened in your chest.
A soft knock at the door jolted you out of your thoughts. “Hey,” Joel’s voice came through. “Can I come in, or is this a no-roommate zone right now?”
“Uh… yeah, come in,” you called, your hands automatically tugging at the fabric one last time.
The door opened, and Joel stepped inside. He froze, just for a second, his eyes dragging up your body in a slow, deliberate sweep. His lips parted slightly, and for a moment, the cocky charm he usually carried seemed to falter. “Shit.”
“What?” you asked, your cheeks immediately heating under the intensity of his gaze. “What’s wrong?”
Joel blinked, his mouth twitching into that lopsided grin that somehow managed to be both infuriating and heart-stopping.
“Nothin’. You’re just—” He gestured vaguely with one hand, his words trailing off as his gaze dipped again, lingering on the curve of your waist. His voice dropped lower, rougher. “You’re gonna give the lifeguard a fuckin’ heart attack walkin’ around like that.”
You let out a huff of laughter, though your cheeks burned under the intensity of his gaze. It wasn’t just his words; it was the way he looked at you—like he was savoring every second of it. “Joel, stop,” you murmured, trying for exasperation, but your voice betrayed you, sounding far too soft.
He didn’t budge, didn’t even blink. If anything, his grin deepened, a slow, lazy curve that made heat curl in your stomach. His eyes shamelessly roamed over you, trailing from the slope of your shoulders to the length of your legs, before snapping back to your face. “Not my fault,” he drawled with a casual shrug, though his voice was thick. “You show up lookin’ like that, you can’t expect me not to notice.”
“You’re impossible,” you muttered, shifting awkwardly under his gaze. Turning your back to him, you pretended to adjust something on the nightstand, hoping the movement would distract from how flustered you felt.
“Hey,” Joel said softly, his voice closer now. A warm hand landed on your shoulder, his fingers brushing against your bare skin as he tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, then swept it away from the back of your neck. His touch was unhurried, intimate in a way that sent a shiver down your spine.
“What?” you murmured, your voice catching as your heart pounded in your chest.
“Don’t gotta hide from me,” he said, his tone low, the kind of voice that could coax secrets from you without even trying.
“I’m not hiding,” you mumbled, though the way you kept your gaze averted didn’t exactly help your case.
Joel’s smirk deepened, his hand lingering on your shoulder just a moment longer before he let it slide down your arm, his fingers brushing yours. “No? Could’ve fooled me,” he said, his voice soft but teasing.
You turned to face him, finally meeting his eyes, which were dark and full of something you couldn’t quite name. “I’m not,” you insisted, a little firmer this time, though the heat in your cheeks betrayed you.
“Alright,” he said, raising his hands in mock surrender. “If you say so.”
Your breath hitched at the way his eyes locked on yours, dark and amused, like he was daring you to argue. Before you could muster a retort, Joel turned away, striding over to where his tote bag rested on the dresser.
“C’mon,” he called over his shoulder, the smirk still audible in his voice as he rifled through the bag. “Let’s go cause some medical emergencies.”
⋆🌺˚.⋆ꪆৎ.🐚⋆❀˖°
You found a quiet spot by the pool where the loungers were spaced far enough apart that it felt private, secluded.
The soft sound of the water lapping against the edge of the pool blended with the faint hum of conversation from a few sunbathers nearby. You sank back into the lounger with a sigh, adjusting your sunglasses and stretching your legs out in front of you.
“Nuh-uh,” Joel said, his voice cutting through the tranquil moment.
“What?” you asked, peeking up at him over the rim of your sunglasses.
"Did you know," he began, his tone light and teasing as he flipped the sunscreen bottle in his hand, scanning the label, "that not wearing sunscreen is one of the top causes of skin cancer? Says so right here." He tapped the back of the bottle for emphasis.
You frowned, pushing your sunglasses up into your hair. “Joel…”
Joel crouched beside you, the sun casting a golden glow over his tanned skin, making every line of his toned arms stand out as he shook the sunscreen bottle. “Sit up,” he repeated, his voice carrying that soft but undeniable authority that made you instinctively obey, even as your brow furrowed in playful annoyance.
“You’re bossy, you know that?” you muttered, adjusting yourself on the lounger.
“Someone’s gotta keep you in line,” Joel shot back, uncapping the bottle with a smirk. His gaze flickered over your shoulders, his expression softening slightly. “You got burnt yesterday. Can’t let that happen again.”
“Thanks, Mom,” you teased, though the way his eyes lingered made your chest tighten in a way that was anything but maternal.
He chuckled low, leaning in to smooth the sunscreen over your shoulders. His hands were warm, strong, and far too deliberate for your heart to stay steady. “Relax,” he said softly, his voice almost a purr as his thumbs kneaded gently into your skin. “Not my first rodeo.”
“You do this for all your roommates?” you quipped, though your voice wavered when his hands slid down the curve of your shoulder blades.
Joel paused, his lips quirking upward as he leaned just a fraction closer, his breath ghosting against your ear. “Only the ones I like.”
Your heart thudded against your ribs, but you refused to give him the satisfaction of a response. “How kind of you,” you said instead, your tone light, though your pulse was anything but calm.
“What can I say?” Joel said, his grin turning downright wicked as he shifted to smooth sunscreen over the tops of your arms. “I’m a giver.”
The insinuation hung in the air, thick and electric. Your cheeks burned hotter than the sun, and you cursed your brain for immediately flashing back to the things he’d said last night.
“You’re quiet,” he said softly, his voice breaking through your thoughts.
“Yeah, well,” you muttered, your breath hitching slightly as his fingers grazed the nape of your neck, “not much to say when someone’s slathering you in sunscreen.”
Joel chuckled, the sound low and warm, rumbling against your back. “There,” he said, his voice lighter now.
“Well, thanks, I guess,” you said, trying to sound nonchalant, though the way Joel’s hands lingered for just a moment too long sent an undeniable thrill through you. You tried to ignore it, shifting back against the lounger to lie down, but Joel coughed.
“What now?” you asked, glancing at him over your shoulder.
He raised an eyebrow, his grin faint but mischievous. “You forgettin’ ’bout me?”
You rolled your eyes. “You’re a grown man, Joel. You can put your own sunscreen on.”
“Yeah, but I can’t reach my back, genius,” he said, giving you a look that was equal parts exasperation and amusement. “C’mon. I just hit you with a cancer fact. You really want me to get cancer?”
You groaned dramatically, sitting up. “You’re insufferable.”
Joel just chuckled, his grin widening as he said, “Good girl.”
The words hit you harder than you expected, low and rough in that way only he could pull off, and you hated the way your heart stuttered in response. Joel turned, presenting his back to you as he handed over the bottle of sunscreen.
You squeezed some into your hands, rubbing them together before pressing your palms against the broad expanse of his back. His muscles tensed immediately under your touch, the warmth of his skin making your breath catch.
You slapped the last bit of sunscreen onto his back a little harder than necessary. “There. Cancer-free.”
Joel laughed softly, the sound rumbling through his chest as he turned to glance over his shoulder at you. “Thanks, roomie,” he said, flashing you that crooked smile that made your stomach flip.
You shook your head at his antics before glancing around. Something caught your eye—a woman nearby sipping a colorful drink that looked particularly refreshing. Sitting up, you brushed your hair out of your face. "Hey," you said, turning to him. "I’m gonna grab a drink. Want anything? A beer?"
Joel cracked one eye open from where he was stretched out on his lounger, his expression shifting instantly from relaxed to alert. “What? No,” he said, already moving to sit up. “You stay here—I’ll go.”
“Joel,” you said, laughing softly. “I can handle walking a few steps to get a drink. I promise it’s not a Herculean task.”
He scoffed, standing and grabbing his wallet from the side table. “Not happenin’. I’m Southern. We don’t let the ladies lift a damn finger.”
You couldn’t help the smile that tugged at your lips. “Oh, is that right?”
“Damn right,” he said, throwing you a lopsided grin as he stood over you, the sun casting golden highlights across his face. He shifted slightly, sliding his wallet into his back pocket with practiced ease. “Now, what’ll it be’?”
You tilted your head, pretending to deliberate. “Hmm… surprise me,” you said finally, leaning back with a smirk.
Joel raised an eyebrow, his grin widening as he bent slightly toward you. “Oh, you must really trust me now, huh?”
You shrugged, doing your best to appear nonchalant despite the way his proximity made your stomach flutter. “Guess we’ll see,” you teased.
Joel straightened, shaking his head with an amused chuckle. “Alright. Don’t move. Be back in a sec,” he said, giving you a parting wink before sauntering toward the bar.
You couldn’t help but watch him go, the way his broad shoulders shifted, the confident, easy sway of his steps.
He reached the drinks bar, leaning casually against the counter as he spoke to the bartender. After a moment, he glanced back over his shoulder, catching your eye. Joel smiled, that damn charming smile of his, and raised a hand to wave. You waved back, warmth blooming in your chest despite yourself.
And then, of course, you noticed her. The waitress — insanely beautiful, with flawless skin, a dazzling smile, and a figure that made your confidence waver in an instant. She was laughing at something Joel said, her glossy hair catching the sunlight as she leaned a little too close.
You felt your stomach twist as she placed her hand lightly on Joel’s forearm, the gesture casual but intimate. Joel didn’t pull away. Why would he? He was single, a man—of course he’d flirt back. And he did, flashing her that same charming smile he’d given you just moments ago.
You tried to shake it off, leaning back in your lounger and adjusting your sunglasses, but the ache in your chest wouldn’t go away. It wasn’t jealousy, you told yourself. Not really. Joel was free to talk to whoever he wanted, flirt with whoever he wanted.
Finally, Joel returned, two drinks in hand. He moved with that same easy confidence, the kind that felt both infuriating and magnetic, like he had no idea the effect he had on people—or maybe he did. His expression was casual, but as he got closer, you noticed the slight furrow in his brow, like he’d picked up on the shift in your mood.
“Guess which one’s yours,” he said as he settled down onto his lounger. He balanced the drinks carefully, one a beer and the other a concoction that looked like a unicorn had exploded into a glass, complete with glittery sugar on the rim.
You tilted your head, pretending to consider. “Hmm…” You pointed to the beer, a small smirk playing on your lips. “That one.”
Joel let out a loud, buzzer-like sound, shaking his head with a grin. "Wrong." He handed you the colorful drink, his fingers brushing against yours for the briefest moment before he leaned back with his beer. "Here," he said casually.
"Thanks," you murmured, taking the drink from his hand. You hesitated for only a second before adding, "So," a playful edge creeping into your tone, "Blondie seemed pretty interested."
Joel lowered his beer slightly, turning his head to look at you through his sunglasses. You felt the weight of his attention, and it made your pulse quicken. “The waitress?” he asked, his tone unreadable, casual in a way that somehow made it worse.
“Yeah,” you said, shrugging as you adjusted your posture. You hoped you looked relaxed, but the ice rattling in the glass betrayed you. “She was all smiles and giggles. You should, uh… go talk to her.”
The words felt heavy, wrong. You hadn’t meant to say them. Why did you always do this? Push men away, pretend you didn’t care, when every fiber of your being was screaming at you to hold on tighter?
Joel chuckled softly, a low, gravelly sound that sent a shiver down your spine. He set his beer down on the small table between you, the bottle clinking softly against the glass top. Then he pulled his sunglasses off, revealing those sharp, dark eyes that always seemed to cut straight through your defenses.
“Now why would I do that?” he asked, his voice calm but edged with something you couldn’t quite name.
You blinked, taken aback by the simplicity of his question. “Because she’s interested in you,” you said, your voice quieter now, almost unsure.
Joel tilted his head slightly, his gaze steady as he studied you, like he was trying to piece together a puzzle. The corners of his lips twitched, and he leaned back in his chair, running a hand through his hair. “Well,” he said, his voice softer now, “I’m not interested in her.”
Your breath caught, your heart stuttering in your chest. He said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world, and yet, the way his tone softened at the end made the words hit differently, made them linger.
“Plus,” he added, his voice lighter now, playful as his foot nudged your leg, “I’d rather sit here with you.”
The words sent a rush of heat through you, even though he delivered them casually, like it wasn’t a declaration but a simple fact. He grinned, leaning back in his chair, his eyes never leaving yours. The weight of his gaze made your skin feel too tight, your heart pounding in your chest.
Your lips parted, but no sound came out. You wanted to say something clever, something to break the tension that hummed between you, but your brain seemed to have short-circuited.
“So,” Joel said, breaking the silence as he reached into his bag. “You remember our bet, right?” His lopsided grin deepened as he pulled out a weathered baseball cap and placed it on his head.
His hair, sun-kissed and tousled from the day, peeked out in messy waves beneath the brim, and his lips—slightly pink from the beer and sun—curved into that easy, damnable smile that always made your heart skip.
“Yes,” you replied, leaning back in your chair as you tried to match his nonchalance. “Whoever guesses when Tommy will propose gets... what was it again?”
Joel tilted the brim of his hat, pretending to think. “The other’s social security number,” he deadpanned, his tone as casual as if he were suggesting splitting an appetizer. “Nothin’ big.”
You laughed, the sound bubbling out of you before you could stop it. Why did he have to be so damn cute and funny? It wasn’t fair.
“So,” Joel said, his voice dipping just enough to make the air feel heavier as he took another sip of his beer, “you think he’ll do it during the hike?”
You tilted your head, considering it. “Hmm,” you mused, tapping your finger against your glass. “I don’t think so. I mean, Maria will want to look good when it happens, you know? Not sweating and gross. Plus,” you added, glancing at him with a grin, “I have a feeling we’ll be there for the actual proposal. Tommy’s the kind of guy who’d want witnesses.”
Joel’s brows lifted slightly, a hint of impressed amusement in his gaze. “You make some valid points,” he admitted, his voice low and thoughtful, though the corner of his mouth twitched as if he were holding back a smirk. “I’m startin’ to worry I might lose to you.”
You tilted your head, your grin growing as you leaned just a little closer. “I have a feeling you’re not used to losing, Miller.”
Joel chuckled, leaning back in his chair, the brim of his hat tilted just enough to shade his eyes. “Not often,” he admitted, his tone light, almost like he was testing the waters. His gaze lingered on you for a moment, sharp but unreadable, before he tipped his beer bottle toward you. “Guess it’ll be good for me. Keep me humble.”
Joel leaned back now, his broad shoulders catching the sunlight in a way that made it impossible not to stare. You caught yourself looking as he pulled out his phone, scrolling for a moment, his thumb moving lazily over the screen. Then, with a sudden movement, he sat up straighter, his face lighting up as if he’d just remembered something.
“Shoot, I almost forgot,” he said, setting his phone down and turning toward his tote bag.
“What?” you asked, sitting up a little in your lounger, intrigued despite yourself.
Joel leaned over to dig into the bag, the muscles in his arms flexing as he rummaged through it. You swore he was doing it on purpose. “Got ya somethin’,” he said casually, his voice almost too casual.
You took a sip of your drink, eyeing him warily. “Should I be scared?”
“Terrified,” he replied with a smirk, glancing at you out of the corner of his eye.
“Great,” you muttered, your tone dry, but a smile tugged at the corners of your lips.
“Alright,” he said, pulling something out of the bag and holding it behind his back. “Close your eyes.”
“Seriously, Joel?”
“C’mon now,” he coaxed, his grin widening. “Promise it’s nothin’ kinky.”
You squinted at him, unimpressed. “Wasn’t even worried about that, but now I am.”
He chuckled, a deep, rich sound that sent a flutter through your chest. “Trust me. Just do it.”
You sighed, rolling your eyes dramatically but obliging him. “Fine. But if it’s something weird, I’m chucking it in the pool.”
“Hands out,” he instructed, and you could practically hear the sly grin in his voice.
With a sigh, you held out your hands. “Wow,” Joel teased, his tone thick with innuendo. “So obedient.”
“You’re a perv,” you shot back, laughing softly. But then something soft and light landed in your palms, and your curiosity piqued. “Can I look now?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
You opened your eyes, and there it was—a Hawaiian Hello Kitty plushie, complete with a tiny grass skirt and a pink flower tucked behind its ear. The sight of it hit you like a wave, disarming and unexpectedly sweet.
“Oh my God,” you breathed, clutching the plushie. “This is so cute.”
Joel laughed, the sound warm and easy as he took a sip of his beer. “You like it? I was pickin’ up snacks for us to try later, saw it, and thought of you. You know, cute, girlie…” He shrugged casually.
“I love it,” you said, the words spilling out without hesitation. Your heart swelled as you held it closer, running your fingers over the soft fabric.
“Good,” Joel said, leaning back in his chair with a satisfied grin. “Thought you might be missin’ Mimi.”
The mention of your cat made you laugh, a soft, genuine sound that eased the tension you hadn’t even realized you were carrying. “She’s gonna be so jealous when I get home with this.”
Joel shook his head, his gaze lingering on you for a beat longer than necessary. “Glad you like it,” he murmured, his voice softer now, almost shy. For just a moment, the teasing melted away, leaving something warmer, deeper in its place. His eyes flicked down to the plushie in your hands, then back up to your face, as though he was committing this moment to memory.
“Well, now I gotta get you something,” you said, your voice lighter, trying to shake off the way his stare made your chest feel tight.
Joel leaned back in his lounger, casual and effortless, his grin slowly spreading. “I can think of a way you could pay me back,” he said, his tone laced with just enough suggestion to make your stomach flip.
“Oh, God,” you groaned, rolling your eyes even as your cheeks warmed.
Joel chuckled, his voice low and warm. “Geez roomie. Get your dirty mind outta the gutter,” he teased, his grin turning mischievous. “I meant you could try stayin’ on your side of the bed for once. You know, as payment for my generosity.” He leaned over to poke your side gently, his finger brushing against your ribs.
Your blush deepened, and you hugged the plushie closer to your chest. Sorry about that,” you mumbled, though you couldn’t help the small, sheepish smile tugging at your lips. “I didn’t realize I was such a bed hog.”
Joel’s grin softened, his teasing easing into something gentler. “I’m jokin’,” he said, his voice dipping lower. “I like it. You’re cute when you sleep.”

It hadn’t even been ten minutes of peaceful reading when you heard a long, exaggerated groan from the lounger beside you.
You turned your head, eyebrows raised in amusement, to find Joel sprawled out, one arm slung lazily over the back of his chair. His book was balanced precariously on his lap, his impossibly short red shorts leaving little to the imagination. “You good?” you asked, your tone half-curious, half-mocking.
“I’m fuckin’ bored,” Joel declared dramatically, tipping his head back to glare at the sky. Then he turned to you, his dark eyes locking on yours. “You’re ignorin’ me when we could be chattin’.”
You sighed, snapping your book closed with a soft thud. “What happened to reading?” you asked, gesturing toward the book he hadn’t even bothered to open.
“Got bored,” he shrugged, the motion impossibly nonchalant, as if his restlessness was your problem to fix.
“Jesus,” you muttered, leaning back in your chair. “You’re like dealing with a child.”
Joel’s grin spread slow and wicked across his face, his tone dropping into something deeper, richer. “Nothin’ childish about me, darlin’,” he drawled, the insinuation hanging thick in the air between you.
You rolled your eyes, but your chest tightened at the way his gaze lingered on you. “You’re impossible,” you muttered, though the edge in your voice wasn’t nearly as sharp as you’d hoped.
Joel turned his body fully toward you now, resting his forearm on the armrest and leaning in slightly. His expression turned mischievous, his grin full of trouble. “So,” he started, his eyes flicking to your phone resting beside you, “you one of those Instagram influencers or somethin’?”
Your eyebrows shot up. “What?”
He gestured vaguely, his grin widening. “I dunno. Just got the vibe, is all. Pretty girl. Always readin’ or sippin’ iced coffee. Bet you got a ton of followers.”
You laughed, shaking your head as you tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. “I’m on private,” you said, leaning forward to grab your drink. “I think I’ve got, like, 300 followers. Maybe.”
Joel hummed, his grin softening into something warmer as he tilted his head. “Green flag,” he teased, his voice playful but with an undertone that made your stomach flip.
“Oh, and you?” you shot back, leaning toward him now. “You add all your Hinge matches on Instagram?”
Joel let out a laugh, the sound low and rumbling in his chest. “Nah,” he said, smirking. “They don’t get that luxury.”
You rolled your eyes, sipping your drink to hide your grin. “Sure.”
“C’mon,” Joel said, shifting closer, his arm draping over the back of his lounger as he pulled his phone out of his pocket. “Lemme follow you.”
“You wanna follow my Instagram?” you asked, raising an eyebrow.
He shrugged, the motion effortlessly casual. “We’re friends, right? Ain’t that what friends do?”
You smiled despite yourself. “Alright,” you said, giving him your username as he typed it in.
As you accepted @JoelMiller91's follow request, Joel sat up straighter, his attention fixed on your Instagram profile as he scrolled through it. He angled the phone so you could see the screen, his thumb moving deliberately, pausing on a photo of Mimi curled into a perfect ball.
“Damn,” he said, his tone teasing but with a hint of something warmer. “This is, like, a full-on Mimi shrine. Look at this—‘Mimi in the sun,’ ‘Mimi with a bow,’ ‘Mimi judging you.’”
You snorted, leaning over slightly to peek at the screen. “She’s very photogenic.”
He grinned, glancing at you out of the corner of his eye. “You got, what? Three photos of yourself on here, tops?”
“Well, Mimi’s cuter than me,” you said, shrugging as you sipped your drink.
Joel hummed, a low, thoughtful sound that made your stomach flip. “Agree to disagree,” he murmured, his eyes still scanning your feed.
Your breath caught as his gaze flicked back to you, his grin widening. “Alright,” he said suddenly, sitting up on his knees and setting his beer aside. “We gotta fix this.”
“Fix what?” you asked, watching him warily.
He gestured to your phone. “This ratio. You and Mimi. I’m takin’ some pictures of you.”
“What, now?” you asked, your voice incredulous.
“No, tonight when you’re half-asleep and grumpy. Yes, now.” Joel was already on his feet, standing in front of your lounger, phone in hand.
“Joel, I’m not exactly the ‘pose in a bikini’ type,” you muttered, squirming slightly under his intense gaze.
“Who said anything about posing?” he said, crouching slightly to adjust the angle. “Just sit up. Relax. I’ll do the work.”
You groaned, but before you could protest further, the shutter sound clicked. “Oh my God, Joel!”
“C’mon,” he teased, grinning at you over the top of the phone. “You’re gorgeous. The world deserves to see.”
You flushed, shaking your head. “I’m really bad at posing.”
“Don’t pose, then. Just…” He gestured vaguely with the phone. “Pretend to read your book.”
“Fine,” you muttered, picking up your book again and settling back against the lounger. You tried to focus on the words, but your mind was too occupied by the way Joel moved around, crouching and angling himself like some overly enthusiastic photographer.
“Yeah,” he murmured, his tone softening. “These are nice.” He stood up straight, his gaze flicking back to you, and for a moment, you swore you saw something unguarded in his expression.
You couldn’t help but blush. “Alright, are we done?”
“Not yet.” He gestured toward your drink. “Take a sip.”
You rolled your eyes, but you did as he asked, lifting the glass to your lips.
“There she is,” he said under his breath, his voice almost reverent. “Atta girl.”
You set the drink down and glared at him playfully. “Happy now?”
Joel grinned as he settled onto your lounger, the chair dipping under his weight. It was too small for one person to sit comfortably, let alone two, and the proximity sent your pulse fluttering in your throat. His thigh pressed against yours, warm and solid, as he leaned in, his phone angled toward you.
“Look at this one,” he said, his voice carrying a boyish excitement as he swiped to a photo. He tilted the screen toward you, leaning in just enough for you to catch the faint, sharp scent of his aftershave. “You look like a Victoria’s Secret model or somethin’.”
You flushed, heat prickling at the back of your neck as you pushed the phone away gently, your gaze darting toward the pool instead. “Stop,” you murmured, trying to laugh it off. “I don’t need to see.”
Joel’s brows furrowed as he turned the phone back to himself, glancing at the picture again like he couldn’t fathom what you were talking about. “You’re kidding, right?” His tone was softer now, laced with something tender and earnest.
You shook your head, still not meeting his eyes. “I’m not...,” you muttered, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear in a nervous gesture.
When you eventually met his gaze, the usual mischief in his brown eyes had melted into something achingly sincere. “You’re gorgeous,” he said simply, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. “How can’t you see that?” His brows knit together, a flicker of frustration in his expression, as if he couldn’t understand how you didn’t see it yourself.
The words settled over you, heavy and warm, and for a moment, the world around you—the sounds of splashing water, distant laughter, the hum of conversation—faded into nothing. All you could hear was the soft, steady cadence of his voice and the way it made your chest ache.
You cleared your throat, trying to dispel the tension that wrapped around you like a vice. “Alright,” you hummed, finally setting your book aside and breaking the spell. “Let’s see yours then.”
Joel froze, his expression teetering between amusement and mild panic. “Oh, hell no,” he said, quickly pulling his phone back as if to shield it from your view.
“What? That’s so unfair,” you protested, swatting his thigh playfully.
“Alright, alright,” Joel groaned, rolling his eyes before surrendering the phone with a reluctant sigh. “Here. Take it.” He passed it over, leaning back into the lounger and taking a sip of his beer, his eyes fixed on you as you started scrolling through his photos.
The first photo was a group shot at the beach—Joel and a handful of friends standing knee-deep in the water, beers in hand, all of them grinning like idiots. Joel stood off to the side, his smile easy and boyish. “Aw,” you cooed, tilting the phone toward him. “Look at you. So wholesome.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Joel muttered, waving you off. “Keep scrollin’.”
The next photo made your breath hitch. Joel, shirtless, standing beside a grill with a spatula in hand. His skin was sun-kissed, his hair slightly tousled from what must’ve been a long day outside. He wasn’t even looking at the camera, his focus instead on whatever he was cooking, but damn. You swallowed, the image burning itself into your brain.
“Jesus,” you muttered, quickly swiping to the next photo. “Do you have something against shirts, or…?”
“You complaining?” he smirked, his tone playful.
You shook your head, laughing softly as you scrolled to the next post. It was him and a woman—a beautiful woman. She was smiling brightly, leaning against him as his arm rested loosely around her shoulders. The caption read, Alright company. Your chest tightened inexplicably, and you fought to keep your expression neutral.
“This your ex?” you asked, feigning nonchalance, though your voice came out a touch too casual.
Joel leaned forward slightly, peeking at the screen before letting out a deep laugh. “My cousin,” he said with a shake of his head.
“Oh,” you said, relief washing over you far too quickly for your liking.
Joel didn’t let it go, though. His grin widened, and his dark eyes glinted with mischief. “What’s this, huh?” he teased, his voice dropping an octave. “You jealous?”
“Please,” you scoffed, trying to mask the embarrassment twisting in your chest. “As if.”
Joel tilted his head, watching you with that knowing smirk that was both infuriating and dangerously charming. “Alright,” he said, his tone light but teasing.
Joel set his phone aside, leaning back against the lounger with an easy grace, his arm wrapping lazily around your shoulders. His fingers traced absent patterns up and down your arm, sending shivers across your skin in a way that felt both casual and entirely deliberate. Then, without a word, he reached up, pulled off his baseball cap, and plopped it onto your head, ruffling your hair in the process.
“There,” he said, his lips curving into a satisfied grin as he tilted his head to admire his work. “Looks better on you.”
You huffed, reaching up to adjust the cap, but the warmth blooming in your chest betrayed your feigned annoyance. “You’re seriously cockblocking me right now,” you muttered under your breath, lifting your drink to take a sip, hoping it would hide the telltale flush creeping up your neck.
Joel’s eyebrows shot up, and then his mouth curved into a wide, teasing grin. “Me? Your fake vacation boyfriend, cock-blocking you? I’d never.”
You rolled your eyes, aiming for exasperation, but the heat on your cheeks gave you away. “Sure,” you muttered, leaning back in your seat, trying to ignore the way his eyes seemed to linger on you a moment too long.
His grin faltered, just slightly, and he glanced down at the beer in his hand, swirling the bottle idly. The teasing air around him softened, replaced by something quieter, almost contemplative.
“What?” you asked, the shift in his tone pulling your attention. You tilted your head, your gaze narrowing as you tried to read him.
Joel’s fingers tapped against the glass of his beer before he looked up at you, his eyes dark and steady. “You tryna find a boyfriend here or somethin’?” he asked, his voice low, casual—too casual.
You blinked, caught completely off guard by the question. “What?” you repeated, letting out a light laugh. “No, Joel. God, no. But even if I was…” You hesitated, fiddling with the condensation on your glass. “I don’t think anyone would dare approach me. Not with us sitting here looking like we’re… like this.”
Joel tilted his head, his gaze unwavering. “Lovey-dovey, huh?” His lips twitched into something that wasn’t quite a smirk but wasn’t far off either.
You opened your mouth to respond, but the words caught in your throat as his hand, warm and rough, drifted to your thigh. He traced slow, deliberate circles against your skin, his touch light but impossible to ignore.
“Maybe,” Joel said after a moment, his voice quieter now, almost hesitant, “maybe I don’t want anyone approachin’ you.”
You froze, your breath catching as his words hung between you, heavy with unspoken meaning. Slowly, you lifted your gaze to meet his, and the way he was looking at you—soft, sincere, and a little unsure—made your chest ache.
“Joel,” you started, your voice barely above a whisper, but he cut you off with a slight shake of his head.
“I’m serious,” he murmured, his thumb brushing against your leg now, his touch grounding. “Maybe I like this. Us… like this.”
Your chest tightened, your mind racing to keep up with the sudden shift. You furrowed your brows, forcing out a laugh to lighten the weight of his words. “You flirt too much,” you said, trying to sound teasing, though your voice wavered.
“I flirt,” he admitted, his lips curving into the faintest smile, “but this ain’t that.” He paused, his gaze locking onto yours, earnest and unguarded in a way you hadn’t seen before. “This is me bein’ honest.”
You swallowed hard, your throat tight as his words lingered between you. The weight of his gaze, the sincerity in his voice—it was too much, too raw. You forced a smile, trying to ignore the way your chest ached. “We should get back,” you murmured, brushing your hand against your thigh as if the movement might ground you. “Don’t wanna get burnt like yesterday.”
Joel’s expression flickered for a moment, something unreadable flashing across his face, but then he nodded, his lips curving into a small, almost reluctant smile. “Yeah,” he said, his voice soft, easy, but it carried an undercurrent you couldn’t quite place. “Let’s go.”
⋆🌺˚.⋆ꪆৎ.🐚⋆❀˖°
Dinner was, as always, lively and full of laughter. Maria and Tommy regaled you with tales of their hike, Maria’s animated hand gestures making you chuckle as she recounted, with dramatic flair, how “Tommy slipped and almost died.”
Even with Joel’s quiet confession from earlier still echoing in your mind, the two of you fell into the same easy rhythm as always. If anything had shifted between you, neither of you let it show. Joel teased Maria about exaggerating, you joined in, and Tommy feigned indignation, his grin betraying him.
The living room had become your little sanctuary after dinner, where everyone gathered to wind down. The warm glow of the lamp bathed the space in soft amber light, casting flickering shadows that made the room feel cozier. The low hum of conversation and the occasional clink of glasses filled the air, a soundtrack to these lazy, contented evenings.
A half-empty bottle of whiskey lounged on the coffee table, surrounded by an assortment of glasses and a scattered pile of peanut M&M’s that had clearly been Joel’s doing. You tugged at the hem of your silky pink pajama shorts as you made your way in, the fabric brushing softly against your thighs. Settling into the chair facing the couches, you tucked your legs beneath you, stealing a quick glance around.
“Ooh, pink,” Joel drawled, his voice pulling your attention. He leaned back on the couch, one arm slung lazily over the cushions while the other popped another M&M into his mouth. His dark eyes flicked over you, a teasing grin curling his lips. “I like that color on you.”
Your cheeks flushed instantly, the warmth rushing to your face faster than you could hide it. You glanced down for a beat, then back up, offering him a shy smile. “Thanks,” you murmured, your voice soft as you adjusted your position, tucking your legs a little tighter beneath you.
Joel’s grin widened, but he didn’t push further, though the playful glint in his eyes lingered, making your heart race just a little faster than you’d like to admit.
Maria, seated next to Tommy on the other side of the couch, suddenly reached for the remote, pausing the movie they’d been half-watching. “Okay,” she announced, sitting up with an energy that made you suspicious. “Tonight, we’re gonna play…” She turned dramatically toward Tommy and Joel, clapping her hands together. “Drumroll, please!”
Tommy immediately leaned forward, drumming his hands against the coffee table. Joel, always the joker, slapped his thigh loudly, his grin turning into a laugh when Tommy gave him an exasperated look.
Maria threw her hands in the air. “Truth or Dare!”
You let out an audible sigh, sinking further into your chair. “Really?” you asked, your tone somewhere between amusement and dread.
“Yes, really,” Maria said, narrowing her eyes at you. “Don’t be a party pooper.”
You glanced around the room, your resolve slipping under Maria’s playful glare and the way Joel was watching you with that infuriatingly charming grin. “Alright, fine,” you said, relenting with a dramatic sigh.
“Atta girl,” Joel chimed in, his voice warm and teasing. “But why’re you sittin’ so far away? C’mon, I don’t bite.” He patted the empty space on the couch beside him.
Hesitating for just a moment, you finally stood, smoothing down your pajama shorts as you crossed the room. Joel’s gaze followed you, warm and steady, and when you lowered yourself into the seat beside him, his arm draped casually over your shoulder, the movement so seamless it felt almost automatic.
“See? That’s better,” he murmured, his voice dropping slightly as his fingers brushed lightly against your shoulder. His scent surrounded you—something clean and woodsy, mingled with the faintest hint of the beer he’d been sipping—and it made your head swim. You fought to keep your breathing steady as he leaned back, his thumb lazily tracing an idle pattern on your arm, his presence entirely too consuming.
“Alright, brother,” Joel said, his voice light with mischief. “Truth or dare?”
Tommy leaned back against the couch, his arms spread wide like he was ready for anything. “Dare,” he said confidently.
Joel laughed, the sound rich and deep, already brimming with amusement. “Alright, I dare you to…” He paused for effect, his eyes sparkling with wicked delight as he grinned at Maria. “Suck Maria’s toes.”
“Ew, Joel!” you exclaimed, nudging him in the ribs. “That’s disgusting.”
“What?” Joel said, feigning innocence as he rubbed the spot where you’d elbowed him. “It’s a dare. Ain’t my fault Tommy said he’d take one.”
Tommy, to everyone’s surprise, slid off the couch and onto the floor in front of Maria. He pointed a finger at Joel, his expression dead serious. “You think I won’t do it, Joel?”
Maria shrieked, pulling her legs up onto the couch and hiding her feet under a throw pillow. “No, Tommy! Gross! Don’t you dare!”
“C’mon, baby,” Tommy said, reaching for her ankles with exaggerated determination. “I ain’t losin’ to my brother.”
“You’re disgusting!” Maria yelled, laughing uncontrollably as she swatted at him. “Get away from me, oh my God!”
Joel was laughing so hard he nearly doubled over, his hand brushing against your knee as he steadied himself. “Oh man,” he said between breaths, “this is better than I could’ve hoped for.”
Still chuckling, Joel straightened up, his hand lingering just a moment too long before he pulled it away, leaving a phantom warmth behind. He pointed toward the tequila bottle on the table, his smirk turning mischievous. “Alright,” he said, his drawl playful and commanding. “You failed your dare. Gotta drink.”
Tommy groaned, grabbing the shot glass and downing it in one go, his face twisting in dramatic agony as he slammed the glass back onto the table. “Ugh, that’s brutal,” he muttered, shaking his head.
“Rules are rules,” Joel said with a smirk, leaning back on the couch and looking far too pleased with himself.
“Alright, wise guy,” Tommy said, poking Joel in the chest with one finger, his competitive streak clearly coming to life. “Truth or dare?”
Joel’s eyes flicked to you for a moment, a faint spark of mischief dancing in them before he leaned forward with an exaggerated air of confidence. “Dare,” he said, his voice slow and deliberate.
You let out a groan, leaning your head back against the couch. “Why do men always choose dare?” you murmured.
Joel turned his head, smirking at you. “Because, darlin’, truth’s too easy. Dares keep things interesting.”
Tommy’s grin turned downright devious as he scanned the room, his gaze settling on you like a predator locking onto its prey. “Alright,” Tommy said slowly, dragging the word out for maximum effect. “I dare you to give this lovely lady…” He pointed directly at you, his grin widening. “…a full Magic Mike lap dance.”
“What?!” you exclaimed, sitting up straight, your cheeks instantly burning. “No way. Absolutely not.”
Joel let out a low laugh, shaking his head as he ran a hand through his hair. “You’re somethin’ else, Tommy,” he said, though there was a glint of amusement in his eyes as he glanced at you. “But hey, a dare’s a dare.”
Your jaw dropped. “You’re not seriously going to do this.”
Joel shrugged, his grin turning slow and wicked as he stood, rolling his shoulders like he was gearing up for a performance. “What can I say? I don’t back down from a challenge—especially if it’s an excuse to take my shirt off.”
“Joel,” you said, your voice rising slightly in protest, but he was already stepping around the coffee table, his movements smooth and confident as he approached you.
“Oh, c’mon,” Maria chimed in, laughing as she nudged Tommy. “This is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Do it, Joel!”
Joel smirked, his gaze locked onto yours now, playful and teasing but somehow disarming all at once. “Relax,” he murmured, his voice low enough that only you could hear. “I’ll keep it PG.”
You couldn’t decide if that made things better or worse.
He stopped just in front of you, tilting his head slightly, his dark eyes sparkling with mischief. “Alright, sweetheart,” he said, his tone low and dripping with charm. “You ready for the show of a lifetime?”
“Oh my God,” you muttered, feeling your face heat as you instinctively covered it with your hands. Joel’s laugh was low and warm, and you could feel it ripple through you, making your pulse quicken.
Tommy, of course, had found Pony on his phone, and the unmistakable opening beat filled the room. The sultry lyrics—I'm just a bachelor…—sent Maria into a fit of laughter. Joel turned his head toward you, a slow, deliberate grin spreading across his face, one that practically radiated mischief. Trouble. Before you could say a word, he leaned in, his hands bracketing your body as you instinctively sank further back into the couch.
“Don’t worry,” he drawled, his voice a warm murmur against your cheek. “I’ll be gentle.”
Your heart raced, your breath catching as you tried to process the nearness of him, the way his eyes flicked over your face like he was gauging every reaction. Before you could form a response, Joel straightened, his expression shifting to something far too smug as he stepped back and began to move.
And God, did he move.
His hips swayed to the beat, slow and deliberate, his hands running through his hair before trailing down his chest with exaggerated precision. It was ridiculous and yet… not.
Joel had a way of commanding the space around him, making every motion seem effortless, every glance deliberate. The energy in the room shifted, a mix of laughter and something heavier—something you couldn’t ignore.
Shit, he was sexy.
Then, with the faintest smirk tugging at his lips, Joel reached for the hem of his shirt. Slowly, agonizingly, he began to lift it, revealing a sliver of tanned skin and the faintest hint of muscle as he moved to the beat. Your stomach flipped as you watched, your breath hitching when he met your eyes again.
“Oh my God,” Maria wheezed, slapping Tommy’s arm. “He’s really doing it.”
Joel ignored her, his focus entirely on you.
The air between you seemed to crackle as he tugged the shirt higher, revealing more of his toned stomach, the faint trail of hair leading down from his navel making your face burn. He didn’t stop there, pulling the shirt over his head in one smooth motion and tossing it aside, his grin growing as he caught the stunned look on your face.
“Joel!” you hissed, mortified and utterly unable to look away. “This is insane.”
“Yeah?” he drawled, stepping closer, his voice rougher now, a teasing edge layered with something deeper that sent a shiver down your spine. His gaze locked onto yours, dark and smoldering, his smirk a devastating mix of cocky and alluring. “Thought you liked a little crazy, darlin’.”
You opened your mouth to respond, to throw out some quip to defuse the growing tension, but the words caught in your throat as Joel reached for your hands. His fingers wrapped around yours, warm and steady, and he guided them slowly to his chest.
Your breath hitched as he directed your hands downward, over the taut planes of his chest, across the curve of his ribs, and lower still. His muscles flexed under your fingertips, firm and defined, as he moved your hands across his abdomen with deliberate slowness. The heat of his skin radiated through his shirt, every motion purposeful, intimate.
You should pull your hands away, tell him to stop, but you couldn’t. You were utterly mesmerized, caught in the intoxicating push and pull of his presence.
Then, Joel dropped to one knee in front of you with a smooth, deliberate motion, and before you could fully process what was happening, his hand was on your knee. Gently but firmly, he pried your legs apart just enough to step closer, his movements so fluid it left you stunned.
Your instinct was to close them again, your body reacting on autopilot, but Joel’s other hand caught your knee, holding you there. “Ah, ah,” he murmured, low enough that only you could hear. His voice was teasing, but his grip was steady, unyielding, as he tilted his head to meet your wide-eyed stare. The music thrummed around you, its sensual beat matching the rhythm of your pulse pounding in your ears.
“Holy shit,” Tommy howled from the couch, his laughter breaking the spell for just a moment.
Joel ignored him, his attention fixed entirely on you. He reached down for his shirt, which he’d tossed on the floor earlier, and in one smooth, exaggerated motion, twirled it above his head. The playful movement drew laughter from the room, but his eyes never left yours, daring you to look away.
You didn’t.
Finally, Joel stood, his grin softening as he stepped back and ran a hand through his hair, his chest rising and falling with each breath. He turned to Tommy and Maria, throwing his arms out dramatically. “There,” he said, his voice light but tinged with satisfaction. “That good enough for ya?” as he tugged his shirt back on
Tommy doubled over, his laughter echoing through the room. “Hell yeah! That was worth it.”
Maria was practically in tears, clutching her side as she tried to catch her breath. “Oh my God, Joel! That was… I don’t even have words. If all else fails, you could always be a stripper.”
“What’d ya think?” Joel asked, stretching out on the opposite side of the couch. His long legs sprawled lazily in front of him, one arm draped casually across the backrest.
You blinked, your heart still racing from the impromptu performance he’d just put on. “Yeah,” you stammered, barely managing to meet his gaze. “You’re… good at that.”
Joel chuckled, the sound rich and deep, his grin widening into something wickedly self-assured. “Must’ve done somethin’ right if I got you sweatin’ like a sinner in church,” he teased, his dark eyes gleaming with mischief.
Your cheeks burned, and you cleared your throat, looking anywhere but at him.
His grin deepened, downright devilish now, as his gaze locked on yours with an intensity that sent a shiver down your spine. His fingers drummed idly against his thigh before he leaned forward slightly, pointing at you with a playful edge that felt like a challenge.
“Alright,” he drawled, his voice low, honeyed, and full of trouble. “Truth or dare, roomie?”
You sighed, already regretting your life choices. Both options seemed like traps in Joel’s hands, but you had to play along. “Fine,” you muttered, crossing your arms. “Truth.”
Joel’s grin widened, his eyes gleaming like a cat toying with a mouse. “Truth, huh? Guess I’ve gotta make it worth your while.”
“Joel…” you warned, narrowing your eyes at him, your fingers fidgeting nervously as you rubbed your hands against your shorts.
His smirk deepened, and he leaned forward slightly, resting his elbows on his knees as he sat up and reached for his drink. “What’s your favorite sex position?” he asked, his voice smooth as silk, as if he’d just asked you the weather.
Your breath caught in your throat, and you almost choked on air. “What?!” you sputtered, your eyes wide as heat surged to your face.
Maria gasped loudly, covering her mouth, while Tommy froze mid-drink, his eyes darting between you and Joel.
Joel just shrugged, taking a slow sip of his beer before setting it down with deliberate ease. “What?” he said, feigning innocence, though the playful tilt of his lips betrayed him. “It’s a valid question. You said truth, didn’t you?”
“I—” You blinked, completely thrown off. “That’s not… You can’t just ask that!”
“Sure I can,” Joel replied smoothly, leaning back again and stretching an arm across the back of the couch. His gaze never wavered, and the smug confidence in his expression made you want to throttle him—or possibly kiss him. You weren’t sure which. “You agreed to play, roomie. Can’t back out now.”
“C’mon now,” he said softly, his voice dipping lower, more intimate. “It’s just a question. I’ll keep it between us if you’re shy.”
Your heart pounded, your brain scrambling for an answer that wouldn’t make things worse. Joel’s gaze was unrelenting, playful yet intense, his presence almost suffocating in the best way. The teasing lilt in his voice, the challenge in his eyes—it was all too much.
Finally, you folded your arms across your chest like armor and muttered, “I don’t have one.”
Joel raised an eyebrow, his grin widening as he leaned forward slightly, his elbows resting on his knees. “You’re lying,” he said simply, his voice low and sure. “I can tell.”
“I’m not,” you shot back, your voice a little too quick, a little too defensive.
Joel tilted his head, smirking as he picked up the bottle of tequila and poured a splash into a glass. He held it out toward you, his grin never wavering. “It’s called Truth or Dare—or Drink,” he said, his tone maddeningly casual. “If you’re gonna lie, you gotta drink.”
“Fuck,” you muttered under your breath, glaring at him as you felt the heat rising to your face. “You’re the worst.”
Joel chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. “I get that a lot.”
You stared at the glass for a moment, weighing your options, but you knew drinking would be as good as admitting defeat.
“Fine,” you mumbled.
Joel leaned in closer, his movements slow and deliberate, his smile softening just enough to make your pulse stutter. “Go on,” he urged, his voice low and coaxing. “No judgment here.”
You hesitated, your gaze darting to Maria and Tommy, who were both watching with barely restrained glee. Joel must have noticed because he glanced at them and smirked. “Eyes on your drinks,” he said, waving them off with a flick of his wrist. “This ain’t for y’all.”
Maria giggled, Tommy groaned, but they both obliged, turning their attention to their drinks—though you could feel their barely contained curiosity lingering in the air.
Joel turned back to you, his gaze locking onto yours, steady and unyielding. “Alright” he murmured, his voice softer now. “What’s it gonna be?”
You exhaled shakily, your cheeks blazing as you forced the word out. “Cowgirl.”
Joel blinked, his grin faltering for just a fraction of a second before it returned, slower this time, a little more dangerous. “Cowgirl, huh?” he drawled, his voice rougher now, lower. “That’s… a solid choice.”
Your face burned hotter as you avoided Joel’s gaze, your fingers fidgeting with the hem of your shorts. You wished the floor would swallow you whole, wished for anything to break the tension thrumming between you. “You said no judgment,” you mumbled, your voice barely audible.
“And I meant it,” Joel said quickly, his tone softening, though the teasing edge in his voice hadn’t fully disappeared. “Matter of fact…” His lips curved into a lazy grin as he leaned back, his arm draped casually across the back of the couch. “Think that’s my favorite too.”
“The question wasn’t for you, Joel,” Tommy teased, shaking his head as he pointed at him. “Why are you always tryna make it about you?”
“This is an open discussion,” Joel shot back smoothly.
You groaned, burying your face in your hands for a brief moment before peeking at him through your fingers. “What do you like about it?” he pressed, his tone dripping with playful curiosity.
“I didn’t realize there were follow-up questions,” you said, your voice dripping with exasperation, though your lips twitched with the beginnings of a smile.
Joel just raised an eyebrow, waiting, his patience maddeningly effective. You sighed, shifting in your seat under the weight of his gaze. “I don’t know,” you said finally, your voice quieter now. “It… feels good. That’s it.”
“Huh,” Joel murmured thoughtfully, leaning forward slightly as if he were considering your words like a philosopher pondering the meaning of life. “What about missionary?”
Your eyes snapped to his, wide with disbelief. “Joel!” you exclaimed, your voice high and mortified.
“What?” he said, completely unbothered, gesturing around the room. “We’re all adults, right? Just a question.”
Tommy groaned, tipping his head back against the couch. “Man, you need a hobby.”
Maria smacked Joel lightly on the arm. “No, he needs to stop.”
You couldn’t help it—you laughed, shaking your head as Joel turned back to you, his grin still firmly in place. “Well?” he asked, ignoring everyone else entirely.
You rolled your eyes but decided to play along. “It’s… fine. With the right person, it's ... nice.”
Joel nodded as if you’d just given the most profound answer. “Fair enough,” he said, his voice thoughtful. “And doggy?”
“Okay!” Maria interrupted, throwing her hands up as she pointed at him. “You. Cold shower. Now.”
Tommy burst out laughing, clutching his stomach as Joel raised his hands in mock surrender. “Alright, alright,” he said, though the wicked grin on his face told you he wasn’t remotely sorry.
He turned to you one last time, his voice low enough that only you could hear. “Guess I’ll just have to get your opinion on that one later.”

Joel stepped into the room, the towel slung dangerously low on his hips, water still dripping from his hair. A toothbrush hung from the corner of his mouth, and he glanced at you, his eyes crinkling at the edges in amusement.
You were sprawled out on the bed, scrolling mindlessly through your phone, but the moment he entered, the casual atmosphere shifted. The sight of him—damp, shirtless, and so effortlessly masculine—made your stomach flip.
He leaned against the wall for a moment, then started doing pushups against it, the muscles in his back and arms flexing with every movement. “Ninety-nine, one hundred,” he counted, his voice gruff but teasing.
You couldn’t help the laugh that escaped you. “God, you’re such a man,” you said, emphasizing the word with mock exasperation.
Joel straightened up, spitting the toothpaste into the sink as he grinned. “Sounds like a compliment to me.”
You rolled your eyes. “Put some pants on,” you muttered, trying to focus on your phone again, though the heat rising to your cheeks betrayed you.
“Sure thing,” he said, opening the drawer and pulling out a pair of boxers, which he slung casually over his shoulder like he had all the time in the world.
Then, with an infuriating smirk, he turned toward you. “Cowgirl, huh?”
Your jaw dropped, heat flooding your face. “Joel, stop.”
He shrugged, the smirk never leaving his face. “Just making conversation,” he said with a wink. “Alright, close your eyes.”
“What?” you asked, eyebrows shooting up.
“I’m changin’,” he said simply, tugging at the knot of the towel. “I’ll be naked in like three seconds.”
“Oh my God,” you groaned, slapping a hand over your eyes. “We have a bathroom for a reason.”
“Yeah,” Joel said with a laugh, “but where’s the fun in that?”
You squeezed your eyes shut, but your curiosity got the better of you.
Just a peek, you thought.
You cracked your fingers open just enough to catch a glimpse, and your breath hitched. Joel’s back was tan, the muscles rippling under smooth, sun-kissed skin as he reached into the dresser. The sharp definition of his shoulders tapered into a strong, narrow waist, the dip of his spine leading down to—
Oh. My. God.
The towel fell to the floor, revealing the most perfectly round, firm ass you’d ever seen, framed by powerful thighs that looked as though they could crush steel.
And then you saw his cock.
It hung thick and weighty, the shaft resting against his muscular thigh, even at rest. The skin was tanned like the rest of him, a darker, ruddy hue gracing the head, which was perfectly proportioned and smooth. A faint, darker vein ran along its length, drawing your attention in a way you couldn’t look away from.
The base was framed by a neat patch of dark, coarse hair, blending seamlessly with the faint trail that started at his navel. It was the kind of cock that made your stomach flip, intimidating in its sheer size and girth but undeniably captivating.
Even soft, you couldn’t help but imagine how much bigger, harder it could get, and the thought sent heat rushing through you. You clamped your eyes shut again, your cheeks burning hotter than ever, but the image was burned into your mind now, seared there like a brand you couldn’t shake.
“I’m such a perv,” you thought, your stomach twisting with a mix of embarrassment and something warmer, something far more dangerous.
“All done,” Joel said casually, snapping you out of your spiral.
“Good,” you croaked, your voice barely audible. You risked a glance as he slipped into bed, the mattress dipping under his weight. He turned toward you, his gaze soft and a little too knowing, the corner of his mouth pulling into a lopsided smile.
Gosh, why was he so handsome? The soft lamplight caught the curve of his jaw, the faint flush on his cheeks, the tousled mess of damp hair falling over his forehead.
He smelled like coconut—probably from the hotel body wash—and you felt your stomach twist in ways you didn’t entirely understand.
“Before we go to sleep,” he hummed, his voice low and easy as he propped himself up on one elbow, his head resting on his hand, “truth or truth.”
You laughed, caught off guard. “Joel, I think we’ve had enough of that for one night.”
“Please,” he said, drawing out the word in a way that made it sound so much softer. “Truth or truth,” he repeated, his lips curving upward just enough to betray a hint of nerves behind his teasing tone.
You stared at him, momentarily lost in the way he looked right now—so boyish, so earnest. His pink lips were slightly swollen, his cheeks still a little red, his wet hair falling over his temple in a way that made you want to brush it back.
“Fine,” you murmured, unable to say no when he looked at you like that. “Truth.”
Joel’s grin faltered for the briefest second, the playfulness in his expression dimming as he searched your face.
“Okay,” he said slowly, his voice quieter now, like he was working up the courage. He hesitated, his tongue darting out to wet his lips before his eyes locked on yours, something unguarded and raw in his gaze. “Are you… attracted to me?”
Your heart stuttered, your chest tightening. “What?” you breathed, your eyebrows shooting up as heat rushed to your cheeks.
He shrugged, but the movement was almost self-conscious, like he was trying to play it off even as his eyes stayed steady on you. “It’s a fair question.”
“Joel, I—what are you even talking about?” you stammered, your voice shaky as you tried to process what he’d just asked.
“C’mon,” he said softly, the teasing edge gone now. “Just… tell me. I’m not gonna hold it against you.”
His sincerity threw you off more than the question itself. Joel Miller didn't strike you as the type of guy to be vulnerable like this—wasn’t supposed to ask questions that left your stomach flipping and your heart racing.
But here he was, waiting for an answer, his expression open, his usual confidence tempered with something quieter, something unsure.
You swallowed hard, your pulse pounding in your ears as the air between you seemed to thicken, charged with something unspoken. And for the first time, you didn’t know how to hide.
“You’re a handsome guy,” you shrugged, trying for nonchalance. But the way your voice wavered betrayed you.
Joel tilted his head, his expression unreadable, though there was something sharp, something quietly intent in the way his eyes stayed on yours. “That’s not what I asked,” he murmured, his voice soft but insistent.
Your gaze flicked to him, startled by the shift in his tone. He was watching you so carefully, so thoroughly, like he was trying to decipher every flicker of emotion across your face.
“What?” you said, your breath hitching slightly.
“I said,” he repeated, slower this time, his Southern drawl wrapping around each word like a secret, “are you attracted to me?”
Your heart slammed against your ribs, the words landing heavier than they should have. “I—” you started, then scoffed, shaking your head like it could somehow dispel the heat rushing to your cheeks. “What kind of—who even—”
Joel didn’t interrupt, didn’t move. He just kept looking at you, patient and unyielding, his gaze steady and unrelenting as if he had all the time in the world. And that was worse somehow—because it left you nowhere to hide.
You huffed, breaking under the weight of it, your voice coming out quieter than you meant. “Yeah. Fine. Yes, Joel. I’m attracted to you. Happy?”
He nodded once, the movement slow and deliberate. His eyes softened just enough to make your chest tighten, though his expression remained unreadable. “Good,” he murmured.
You bit your lip, a nervous laugh escaping before you could stop it. “What?” you asked, trying to fill the charged silence. “You needed that for your ego or something?”
Joel shook his head, his lips curving into the faintest smile, though there was something different about it this time. Something shy, almost unsure. “No,” he said quietly. “Just… wanted to know.”
Your heart tripped over itself at the simplicity of his words, and you shifted slightly, your fingers twisting in the hem of your shirt.
The question tumbled out before you could stop it, your voice barely above a whisper. “Are you… attracted to me?”
For a moment, Joel didn’t answer. He just stared at you, the silence stretching unbearably as something flickered across his face—something you couldn’t quite place.
“Yeah,” he said finally, the single syllable carrying enough weight to knock the air from your lungs. His voice was low, gravelly, and sure. “Yeah, I am.”
Your chest tightened as Joel leaned in slightly, his hand braced against the mattress, his movements deliberate yet hesitant. His dark eyes flicked to your lips for the briefest moment before snapping back to meet your gaze.
Joel’s voice broke the silence, low and quiet, almost like he didn’t want to scare the moment away. “Thought it was pretty obvious,” he said, his lips twitching into a soft, self-conscious smile as a quiet laugh escaped him.
The sound made your chest ache, the vulnerability in it catching you off guard. He shifted slightly, leaning back just a fraction as if he was giving you space to breathe.
“Anyways,” he murmured, his tone softening even more, “it’s late. You should get some sleep.”
You blinked, your heart still racing as the tension eased, replaced by something warmer, gentler. Joel’s eyes lingered on you for a beat longer, like he was trying to memorize your face, the curve of your lips, the way the moonlight painted your skin.
⋆🌺˚.⋆ꪆৎ.🐚⋆❀˖°
You lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, the room dark and still except for the soft sound of Joel’s breathing beside you. He was sound asleep, his features softened in a way that almost felt unfair.
His brow, usually furrowed with intensity or mischief, was relaxed. His lips, so often curled into a smirk that drove you crazy, now rested in a slight, peaceful curve. He looked so sweet, so angelic, nothing like the devil he became when he was awake and teasing you mercilessly.
Your eyes lingered on the way his dark lashes fanned against his cheeks, the steady rise and fall of his chest as the light sheet barely covered him. His hair was messy, slightly tousled, the curls resting against his forehead. He looked younger like this—soft, unguarded, and warm.
You sighed softly, your chest tightening as the weight of his earlier admission settled over you. The honesty in his words had left a crack in your defenses, and now, staring at him like this, you couldn’t help but wonder if he realized just how completely he’d unraveled you.
“Fuck,” you muttered under your breath, squeezing your eyes shut as if that would erase the ache in your loin. You shifted under the covers, restless, your body betraying you at every turn. Joel’s antics earlier—the damn lap dance, his relentless teasing, his towel slipping, the dip of his hips, his cock. Jesus, his cock.
You pressed your thighs together, heat blooming between them as the memory of it all replayed in vivid detail. And now, lying here in the dark with him just inches away, asleep and completely unaware of the havoc he’d wreaked on your mind and body, it felt unbearable.
Needy. That’s what you were. Completely, hopelessly needy. And it was all Joel’s fault.
Padding out into the quiet living room, you sank onto the couch, curling your legs beneath you as the cool leather met your skin. The room was dim, illuminated only by the soft glow of your phone as you scrolled aimlessly, searching for a distraction that could ease the tension winding tightly through your chest—and lower. But nothing seemed to work.
You were so caught up in your thoughts that you didn’t hear the soft pad of footsteps until they were right behind you.
“Hey,” Joel’s voice came, low and rough from sleep, and it made your pulse skip. You turned to see him rubbing at his eyes, his hair even messier now, sticking up in disheveled tufts that only added to his boyish charm.
He was barefoot, the hem of his sweatpants riding low on his hips, and his shirt hung lazily over one shoulder, revealing the toned expanse of his chest.
“Can’t sleep?” he asked, his voice softer now as he stepped closer, the faint rasp of sleep still clinging to it.
You swallowed, dropping your phone into your lap as you sighed. “No,” you admitted, your voice quiet. “Sorry for waking you.”
Joel shook his head, plopping down beside you on the couch with a small, tired groan. “You didn’t wake me,” he murmured, though you could tell he was lying. The slight squint of his eyes and the tousled mess of his hair gave him away.
He glanced at the clock on the wall, squinting slightly in the dim light. “It’s 1 a.m.,” he said, his lips curving into that familiar lopsided smile. “You’ve been up this whole time?”
You shrugged, pulling your legs up to your chest. “Just couldn’t fall asleep.”
Joel leaned back against the couch, studying you for a moment. His gaze, still heavy-lidded from sleep, softened as it swept over your face. “Hey,” he said after a beat, his voice lighter now, teasing as he nudged your knee with his hand. “I got an idea.”
You raised an eyebrow, immediately suspicious. “Oh, no. What kind of idea?”
Joel’s grin widened, the kind of mischievous, devil-may-care smile that made your stomach flip in the worst—or maybe the best—way. “One that involves changin’ into your swimsuit,” he said, his voice low and coaxing, his Southern drawl making the suggestion sound almost innocent. Almost.
You blinked, heat rushing to your face. “Joel…”
“Come on,” he said, standing up and holding out his hand. His grin softened, something gentler lurking beneath the teasing. “Trust me. I’ll wait.”
You hesitated, glancing from his outstretched hand to his face, your heart racing for reasons you couldn’t quite name. But there was something in his expression—a quiet steadiness behind the playfulness—that made it impossible to say no.
With a small sigh, you slipped your hand into his, his palm warm and solid against yours. “This better not be one of your bad ideas,” you murmured.
Joel chuckled, tugging you gently to your feet. “Oh, it’s definitely bad,” he drawled, his grin flashing again. “But you’ll love it.”
⋆🌺˚.⋆ꪆৎ.🐚⋆❀˖°
Not long after, you found yourself padding down the resort’s quiet, dimly lit hallway, Joel leading the way with his hand wrapped around yours. His grip was warm and steady, entirely unnecessary but impossibly reassuring. You didn’t dare pull away. The gentle pressure of his fingers against yours sent a thrill up your arm, a sensation you tried—and utterly failed—to ignore.
Joel walked confidently ahead, his bare chest catching the faint glow of the overhead lights. His swim shorts hung low on his hips, his relaxed stride exuding an effortless confidence. Beside him, you felt the cool air against your skin, the bikini you’d hastily thrown on feeling all the more revealing in the stillness of the night.
“Joel, this is insane,” you whispered, glancing nervously over your shoulder. “We’re gonna get in trouble.”
He stopped abruptly, turning to face you with that infuriatingly cocky grin that made your stomach flip. “Hey,” he said, his voice low and warm as he tilted his head, his hair still charmingly messy. “We’re payin’—” He paused, his smirk widening as he corrected himself. “Actually, Tommy’s payin’ a shit ton of money to be here. If we wanna use the pool at 1 a.m., we’re gonna use the damn pool at 1 a.m.”
You sighed, a blend of amusement and exasperation bubbling to the surface as you reluctantly let him pull you along. “This feels like a terrible idea.”
Joel glanced back at you, his grin sharp and teasing under the dim glow of the resort lights. “The best ones always do.” His thumb brushed against your knuckles, a small, almost thoughtless gesture, but one that sent a ripple of warmth up your arm. The air was thick with the scent of salt and hibiscus, the soft rustle of palm fronds above only amplifying the quiet intimacy of the moment.
Joel pushed open the gate to the infinity pool with a soft creak, holding it open as his hand tightened briefly on yours, guiding you through before letting it close behind you with a gentle clang.
And then your breath caught.
The infinity pool stretched out before you, its surface still as glass, shimmering under the silver caress of moonlight. It was a vision of serenity and magic, the water reflecting the stars like liquid silk.
Subtle underwater lights glowed in hues of soft blue and white, their faint ripples casting dancing patterns onto the surrounding tiles.
Beyond the pool’s edge, the dark expanse of the ocean stretched into infinity, its gentle waves blending seamlessly with the star-strewn sky.
The world felt quieter here, as if the night itself had conspired to create this pocket of intimacy, a secret space carved out just for the two of you.
Joel stepped up beside you, his hand slipping from yours at last, leaving behind a fleeting chill you weren’t ready for. “See?” he said, his voice low and reverent, like he didn’t want to disturb the stillness. “Told ya it’s even better at night.”
The pool lights cast a gentle glow across the water, the soft hues of blue and silver rippling over his skin. Shadows played along the strong lines of his shoulders, the curve of his chest, and the defined cut of his back, every movement a study in quiet power.
The faint shimmer of moonlight danced against the tan of his skin, and for a moment, he looked almost otherworldly—like something pulled straight out of your imagination.
Joel took a step into the water, the muscles in his legs flexing as he descended. He turned to you, his smirk fading into something softer, more inviting. “You comin’ in, or what?” His voice was low, coaxing, with an edge of something that sent heat straight to your core.
You swallowed, the warmth rising to your cheeks undeniable as you tried—and failed—not to linger on the way the water lapped at his waist, highlighting every inch of him. “Yeah… yeah, I’m coming,” you murmured, your voice betraying the flutter in your chest.
Joel didn’t move, just stood there in the water, his eyes fixed on you. His gaze was steady, quiet, as though he was waiting for something. The faintest curve of a smile tugged at his lips, and then he extended a hand toward you. “C’mon,” he said softly, the words like a thread pulling you closer. “Water’s perfect.”
You took his hand, his grip warm and steady as he guided you into the pool. The water lapped at your skin, cool and refreshing, sending a soft shiver through you as it rose higher. Joel’s fingers lingered a moment longer than necessary before he let go, and you floated alongside him, both drifting naturally toward the edge of the infinity pool.
Joel leaned forward, resting his forearms on the edge of the pool. His hair, slicked back from the water, caught the faint glow of the underwater lights, droplets clinging to his tanned skin and glinting like tiny jewels.
His expression was unguarded, almost boyish, as he let out a soft sigh. “Shit,” he murmured, his voice carrying the weight of quiet sincerity. “This might be the best trip of my life.”
You turned your head toward him, his words settling warmly in your chest like a flicker of something you didn’t quite want to name. “Me too,” you admitted softly, your voice barely audible over the gentle lapping of the water.
Joel glanced at you then, his gaze lingering a moment too long, his eyes searching yours as if trying to piece together the thoughts you weren’t saying.
“So,” he said finally, breaking the silence, his voice lighter now but laced with something deeper. “Why couldn’t you sleep?”
The question hung in the air, far too close to the truth. Your heart stuttered as you turned your gaze back to the water, the soft glow of the pool lights casting ripples of light across your skin.
How could you possibly admit it? That Joel’s lap dance, his teasing, his cock—all of it—had left you restless, needy, and completely unable to quiet your racing thoughts.
“Not sure,” you murmured, shrugging and avoiding his eyes, your voice quieter than you intended.
Joel’s eyes narrowed slightly, a sly smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “Oh, come on,” he said, his voice low and teasing, yet laced with something that sent a shiver down your spine. “Usually, you’re out like a light. Somethin’s on your mind.”
Your heart raced, your defenses crumbling under the weight of his gaze. “I told you,” you muttered, forcing a casual shrug. “I just couldn’t sleep.”
Joel tilted his head, studying you like he was working out a puzzle, his grin turning downright devilish. He leaned in slightly, his elbow braced on the edge of the pool, his voice dropping to a near-whisper. “Shit,” he drawled, his tone equal parts teasing and dangerous. “Baby… are you…” He paused, letting the question linger as his grin widened. “…horny?”
Your breath caught in your throat, your face heating instantly. “Joel!” you hissed, your voice a mixture of indignation and mortification as you swatted at his arm. “What the hell is wrong with you?”
He laughed, low and rich, leaning back just enough to let you breathe but not enough to create distance. His grin was positively wicked, his dark eyes sparkling with amusement. “What?” he said, feigning innocence. “Just tryin’ to help. Look me in the eye and tell me I’m wrong.”
You bit your lip, your gaze darting to his before skittering away again, the tension coiling tighter in your chest. “You’re wrong,” you said, forcing the words out, but your voice wavered, betraying you.
Joel’s grin didn’t falter. If anything, it softened slightly, turning into something warmer, more disarming. “Darlin’,” he said, his tone low and coaxing, “you’re the worst liar I’ve ever met.”
Your eyes darted to his chest—broad and glistening under the soft glow of the pool lights—and lingered for just a second too long. When you realized what you’d done, you quickly looked away, cursing yourself internally.
He chuckled, the sound quieter now, almost fond as he shook his head. “Christ, girly,” he murmured, his voice dipping even lower. “When’s the last time you had sex?”
You groaned, looking away as your cheeks burned. “Joel, I’m not answering that.”
“Oh, you are,” he said, his grin still firmly in place. “C’mon, I’m dyin’ here.”
When you stayed quiet, Joel’s teasing softened just slightly. “Seriously,” he said, his voice more curious now, less playful. “When?”
You sighed, the words spilling out before you could stop them. “Fine. Like… eight months ago.”
Joel froze, his eyes widening as he turned to fully face you. “What?” he choked, the disbelief in his voice almost comical. “Are you serious?”
You nodded, your gaze still fixed on the ocean, but the heat in your cheeks betrayed you. “Yeah.”
Joel ran a hand through his wet hair, shaking his head like he couldn’t believe what he’d just heard. “Eight months?” he repeated, his voice quieter now. “Shit, darlin’… how have you not lost your mind?”
You let out a small laugh despite yourself, turning to look at him. “It’s not that big of a deal, Joel.”
“Right,” he said, a teasing grin tugging at his lips. “Because you got your little toy.”
Your face burned as you groaned, shooting him a glare. “I regret ever telling you about that.”
Joel chuckled, leaning his elbow on the pool’s edge as he turned to face you fully, his grin widening. “Hey, I’m just sayin’. No shame in it,. Gotta take care of yourself somehow.”
“Joel,” you muttered, pressing your hands to your face. “Please stop.”
He held up his hands, mock surrender in his posture. “Alright, alright, I’ll behave.” A pause, and then, with a tilt of his head, he added, “Seriously, though—why not?”
“Why not what?” you asked, looking at him warily.
Joel shrugged, his tone lighter but edged with genuine curiosity. “Why not just… y’know, find someone? It’s been eight months.” His gaze swept over you, slow and deliberate, his voice softening. “Look at you. You could have anyone you wanted.”
You sighed, your fingers skimming the water’s surface as you avoided his gaze. “Joel, some of us can’t just have casual sex with people.”
“Hey,” he said, his voice dipping lower as his expression shifted, a flicker of something serious passing through his eyes. “What makes you think I can?”
You looked at him, surprised by the sudden change in his tone. “Well… I just assumed.”
Joel leaned back slightly, his lips pressing into a thin line as he shook his head. “I don’t just go sleepin’ around with everyone, you know.”
Your eyes widened, heat rushing to your cheeks. “I didn’t mean it like that,” you said quickly. “I just meant… I don’t know. You seem like you’re more… experienced than me.”
Joel raised an eyebrow, his grin softening into something closer to a smirk. “More experienced?” he repeated, the teasing lilt back in his voice. “What’s that supposed to mean, huh?”
You groaned again, burying your face in your hands. “It means exactly what it sounds like, okay? You’re Joel. You’re… confident and flirty and… you. I figured you’d have had more… practice.”
He laughed, the sound low and warm, and when you peeked at him through your fingers, he was shaking his head, his grin softening even further. “just because I know how to flirt doesn’t mean I’m out here sleepin’ with every pretty face I meet.”
You blinked, caught off guard by his honesty. “Oh.”
“Yeah,” he said, his gaze meeting yours, steady and sincere. “Truth is, I don’t do casual either. Never really been my thing.” He shrugged, his tone lightening again as he added, “Not that I haven’t tried, but… I guess I’m picky.”
“Picky?” you repeated, your lips twitching into a small smile.
“Yeah,” Joel said with a casual shrug, though the faint smirk tugging at his lips betrayed him. “When I was younger, I guess I was more… free, you know? Didn’t think too hard about it. But now…” He trailed off, his gaze dipping briefly before locking back onto yours, a flicker of something deeper in his eyes.
“Now, I gotta have a connection with someone before I…” He smirked, his voice dropping lower as he added, “…rock their world.”
Your laugh burst out before you could stop it, a sound somewhere between amusement and disbelief. “Oh, my God, Joel.”
His grin widened, and he leaned back against the pool’s edge, his arms stretching out to rest along the tiles. “What?” he said, feigning innocence. “Just tellin’ it like it is.”
You shook your head, the laugh still lingering on your lips as you looked at him. “You’re impossible.”
“Nah,” Joel said softly, his tone shifting just enough to catch you off guard. “You’ve got a nice laugh.”
Your smile faltered for a beat, your heart skipping at the sincerity in his voice. “Smooth operator,” you replied, raising an eyebrow at him, trying to keep things light.
Joel shrugged, his grin softening. “I mean it,” he said, his voice quiet but sure, his gaze steady on yours.
You bit your lip without thinking, a nervous habit you’d had forever, and Joel’s gaze flicked down to catch the motion. Something shifted in his expression, his smirk faltering just slightly as his brow furrowed, his voice a low mumble when he finally spoke. “Don’t look at me like that.”
“Like what?” you asked, your voice softer now, the air between you thick with unspoken tension.
Joel shook his head slightly, his lips twitching into a faint smile, but there was something darker in his eyes, something restrained, like he was fighting an internal battle.
The moment stretched, the sound of the waves crashing below blending with the quiet hum of the night. And then—like the universe had a sense of humor—your bikini top came undone, the tie at the back slipping free.
“Shit,” you gasped, clutching the front of your top against your chest to keep it in place. Your eyes widened as you looked at Joel, your heart hammering for a whole new reason now. “Joel,” you whispered, motioning toward your back. “Can you… can you tie me up?”
His gaze flicked to yours, his lips curving into a slow, wicked grin. “And if I didn’t?” he teased, his voice low and dripping with amusement.
“Joel!” you hissed, glaring at him as your cheeks burned, your grip tightening on the loose fabric against your chest. “I’m serious!”
Joel tilted his head, his smirk growing as he treaded water, the glow from the pool lights casting shadows across his face. “What?” he teased, his voice low and playful. “You never skinny dip before?”
Your jaw dropped at his audacity. “No!” you replied, your voice sharp, though the heat rushing to your cheeks made you feel anything but confident.
“Seriously?” he said, his tone shifting into something bordering on incredulous. He let out a low whistle, shaking his head. “Damn, you haven’t lived, girlie.”
“Joel,” you said again, your voice dropping into something softer, more pleading, but he wasn’t backing down.
“Alright,” he said finally, his voice dipping lower, coaxing now. “Turn around.”
You hesitated, your pulse hammering in your chest, but his gaze held steady, warm yet unrelenting. With a sigh, you did as he asked, your back to him, the ocean stretching out into the night as the breeze brushed against your skin.
The sound of the water rippling around him reached your ears, and then you felt his hands—gentle, careful—as they brushed your back. His fingers worked deftly, the lightest graze of his knuckles against your bare skin making your breath hitch.
“Hold still,” Joel murmured, his voice low and intimate, the warmth of it wrapping around you. He finished tying the knot with ease, but he didn’t step back.
You stayed frozen, facing the endless horizon, when you felt it—the unmistakable weight of his hand settling lightly on your hips, his touch firm but not overbearing. His breath, warm and steady, ghosted against the back of your neck, sending a shiver down your spine.
“Joel…” you whispered, your voice barely audible, your heart thundering in your chest.
His grip tightened slightly, grounding you as he leaned in closer, his lips so near that you could feel the faintest brush of them as he spoke. “When,” Joel murmured, his voice low and rough, “was the last time a man made you cum?”
You froze, your breath catching as the question hung in the air, the intimacy of his tone cutting through the quiet night like a blade. Your fingers dug into the edge of the pool, your mind racing as every nerve in your body seemed to ignite at once.
“Joel…” you whispered again, though this time, it wasn’t a protest. It was something softer, needier, like your voice betrayed the thoughts swirling in your head.
He didn’t move, his hand steady on your hips, his fingers pressing just enough to make you hyperaware of every place he touched you. His breath, warm and steady, ghosted over your neck, and you swore the heat of it sank into your skin, making your pulse race.
“I—” you stammered, trying to steady yourself, trying to form words despite the way your heart thundered in your chest. “I told you. Eight months ago was the last time I had sex—”
Joel cut you off, his voice low and rough, sending a shiver down your spine. “I didn’t ask the last time you had sex,” he murmured, his words deliberate, each one like a spark against your already frayed nerves. “I asked when the last time a man made you cum.”
Your breath faltered, your stomach flipping as the weight of his question settled between you. You felt exposed, laid bare in a way you weren’t prepared for. “I…” you started, your voice catching. “I don’t… I don’t remember.”
Joel went still behind you, his grip on your hips tightening ever so slightly as his breath hitched, barely audible. “Shit,” he muttered under his breath, the word low and soft, like it wasn’t meant for you to hear.
You swallowed hard, your chest rising and falling with each shaky breath. The truth was out there now, raw and vulnerable, and you didn’t know what to do with it. Your hands gripped the edge of the pool for balance, the cool water lapping against your skin doing nothing to calm the heat building between you.
“Eight months,” Joel murmured again, his voice tinged with something you couldn’t quite place. His hand shifted slightly, the movement subtle but enough to make your breath hitch.
You could feel him now, the unmistakable press of his body against your back, solid and warm. “And not once…” He trailed off, exhaling sharply before he leaned in closer, his lips brushing the shell of your ear. “…not once did a man know what to do with you?”
“Joel,” you whispered, your voice trembling, his name catching in your throat. It was a plea, though you couldn’t tell if it was for him to stop or to keep going. Every inch of you felt alive, your senses overloaded by the heat of his breath, the weight of his hands, the raw intensity of the moment.
Slowly, Joel turned you around, his hands guiding your movements like he was in complete control. Your gaze locked onto his, and your breath caught at the sight of him.
His hair was tousled, damp from the pool and catching faintly in the light. His eyes burned with something raw, unrelenting, and entirely consuming. He looked angelic, like a man shaped by the heavens but sent to ruin you—and you felt like you were teetering on the edge of insanity just looking at him.
His voice broke through the haze, low and quiet, but laced with an intensity that made your stomach twist. “Were you wet when you went to bed?”
Your heart stopped, your pulse roaring in your ears as his words hung between you, heavy and deliberate. “Joel…” you managed, your voice cracking as your mind scrambled to keep up. “What are you doing?”
“You heard me,” he said, his tone soft but firm, his breath brushing against your cheek as he leaned closer. His fingers lifted to your chin, tilting your face up so you couldn’t look anywhere but at him. His eyes locked onto yours, dark and unwavering, and you felt utterly exposed under his gaze. “Answer me.”
Your breath hitched, your chest rising and falling as the truth clawed its way out of you, unbidden. “Yes,” you whispered, barely audible, but Joel caught it. “I was.”
Joel’s lips quirked into the faintest smirk, but there was something almost tender beneath it, something that made your knees weak. “That so?” he murmured, his thumb brushing along your jaw as he studied your face, his voice dipping lower, rougher. “And you didn’t think to do anything about it?”
Your cheeks burned, the heat of his words and the sheer audacity of the moment leaving you reeling. “I—” you stammered, unable to form a coherent thought, let alone a response.
Joel tsked softly, shaking his head as his gaze lingered on yours. “Darlin’,” he said, his voice a low rumble that sent a shiver down your spine, “what am I gonna do with you?”
The question wasn’t meant to be answered—it was a statement, a challenge, and it hung in the air between you, thick and charged. His hand stayed on your chin, his thumb brushing softly over your bottom lip, the motion feather-light but enough to make your breath catch.
Your head dropped slightly, the weight of the moment pressing down on you. “We can’t, Joel,” you whispered, your voice barely audible.
“Why?” he asked, his tone steady, curious rather than insistent.
You exhaled shakily, searching for the right words. “Because it’ll… it’ll make things weird for the rest of the trip. It’ll ruin the engagement.”
Joel studied you, his thumb pausing on your lip before he let his hand drop, though his gaze never wavered. He nodded slowly, his jaw tightening as he listened. “Alright,” he said softly, his voice gentle. “I hear you.”
His words felt like a lifeline and a loss all at once. Relief mingled with a strange ache in your chest as you dared to glance at him. His expression was unreadable, a mixture of restraint and something deeper that you couldn’t quite name.
“I won’t do anything you don’t want me to,” Joel said simply, his voice low and sure, his words laced with an unspoken promise. He leaned back slightly, giving you space, though his eyes still held yours. “But… I’ll say this much.” His lips curved into a faint, wry smile. “It’s a damn shame you’re goin’ to bed needy every night when I’m right next to ya.”
Your heart stuttered, your body betraying you as his words sent a spark of heat racing through you. You shook your head, trying to push the thoughts away, but the weight of his gaze pinned you in place, making it impossible to ignore the truth simmering between you.
“You’re so sweet,” Joel murmured, his voice low, rough, and laced with something softer, something that made your stomach flip. His hand, still resting lightly on your chin, tilted your face back up, coaxing your eyes to meet his.
You looked at him, your breath hitching as your gaze flicked—just for a moment—to his lips. Joel’s gaze was heavy, dark, and unrelenting, and his voice came low, steady, and utterly devastating. “Did you bring it with you?” he asked.
“What?” you whispered, thrown off by the sudden question.
“Your toy,” he clarified, his eyes locked onto yours like he could see right through you.
Your cheeks burned, and you shook your head quickly. “No,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper.
Joel nodded slowly, his lips curving into a faint, knowing smirk. “So,” he drawled, leaning in just slightly, “you were beside me all wet and needy, huh?”
Your heart stopped, your stomach flipping as his words sank in. “Joel, this is insane,” you murmured, your voice trembling with equal parts disbelief and something darker, something you didn’t want to name.
“You already admitted it,” he said, his voice warm but laced with that maddening edge of confidence. “Didn’t you?”
“Yes,” you breathed, the word falling from your lips before you could stop it.
He nodded again, his gaze never leaving yours, his voice dropping even lower. “So… were you gonna touch yourself?”
“What?” you asked, your eyes widening.
“Were you?” Joel repeated, his tone calm, deliberate, but the weight of his question hung in the air, crackling between you. “With me next to you, asleep? Were you gonna take care of yourself?”
You shook your head quickly, the honesty spilling out before your brain could catch up. “No,” you said, your voice soft, trembling.
Joel tilted his head, his smirk softening into something almost tender, though the heat in his eyes remained. “Poor girl,” he murmured, his tone turning to a low coo that sent shivers down your spine. “No wonder you couldn’t sleep. Just need someone to take care of you, huh?”
He leaned in closer, his hand brushing against your hip as his lips curved into a slow, deliberate smile. “Wonder if I was to touch you right now…” he murmured, his voice rough and quiet, like a secret just for you. “If you’d be ready for me.”
“Joel…” It was as if it was the only word you knew, the only one you could form, and the way you said it—soft, trembling, and utterly breathless—made his expression darken further.
His hand lifted to your chin again, his thumb brushing lightly against your jaw as he whispered, “Can I?”
The question was low, rough, and full of restrained hunger, but there was a softness in his tone, a thread of care that made your chest ache. He wasn’t pushing—he was waiting. And the way he looked at you, the way his gaze held yours, made it clear that you held all the power in this moment.
Your breath hitched, your chest rising and falling as the world seemed to narrow to just the two of you, the ocean, the night, and the question hanging between you like a live wire.
“I don’t know if this is a good idea. What if it… what if it makes things weird?”
“It won’t,” he said simply, his voice low and sure, like he’d already thought through every possibility. “You’re overthinkin’ it. I just wanna help you feel good.”
“It’s not that simple,” you said, shaking your head, though even as the words left your lips, they felt weak, as though you didn’t quite believe them yourself.
“Why can’t it be?” Joel countered, his tone gentle but firm, his eyes searching yours with a steady intensity that made it impossible to look away. “Not everything has to be complicated, darlin’.”
You swallowed hard, your gaze flickering between his eyes and the curve of his lips. “We don’t have to do anything,” he added, his hand lifting to brush a damp strand of hair from your face. “But I can see it in your eyes—you don’t trust men anymore, do you?” His lips quirked into a small, teasing smile, though there was a softness in his voice that made your chest ache. “Let me help restore your faith a little.”
You let out a shaky laugh, though it came out more like a breathless exhale. “What, by making me cum?”
Joel’s smile deepened, his hand resting lightly on your waist as he leaned in, his voice dropping to a murmur. “That what you want?”
Your heart pounded as you stared at him, the heat in his gaze stealing the air from your lungs. “Didn’t you say every woman you sleep with does?” you asked, your words coming out bolder than you felt.
He nodded slowly, his eyes darkening as his thumb brushed along the curve of your hip. “You wanna put it to the test?” he asked, his voice low and rough, the challenge in his tone sending a shiver through you.
The way he was looking at you—like you were the only thing in the world that mattered—made your chest tighten, your resolve crumbling with every second. He looked delicious. You couldn’t think, couldn’t breathe, couldn’t do anything but give in.
“Fuck it,” you whispered, the words slipping out before you could stop them. Your hands shot up to grab his face, pulling him toward you, your lips crashing into his.
Joel didn’t hesitate. He kissed you back with a force that left you reeling, his hands immediately finding your waist as he pushed you back against the smooth edge of the infinity pool. The sound of water rushing over the edge was drowned out by the pounding of your heart as you pressed yourself against him, desperate, frantic, consumed.
His hands were rough as they slid along your sides, pulling you closer, grounding you even as everything around you seemed to spin. His lips were warm, insistent, and he tasted faintly of the tequila you’d both shared earlier. It was intoxicating, the way he devoured you, like he couldn’t get enough, like he’d been waiting for this as long as you had.
You gasped against his mouth as his fingers dug into your hips, his body pressing firmly against yours, his heat searing even through the cool water.
“Shit,” he murmured, his voice rough and breathless. His eyes burned into yours, dark and unrelenting. “Gotta taste you.”
The words knocked the air out of you, leaving you blinking at him in stunned silence. Before you could even process what he’d said, Joel’s hands were on you, gripping your thighs as he turned you toward the entrance of the pool. With a firm but careful tug, he lifted you, placing you on the cool stone ledge so your legs dangled over the edge, the water still lapping at your calves.
“Joel,” you breathed, your voice shaky as you propped yourself up on your elbows, watching him with wide eyes.
He stood in the water, the faint glow of the pool lights illuminating the sharp lines of his face and the damp mess of his hair. His gaze never left yours as he pushed his slick hair back, his movements slow and deliberate, like he was savoring the moment. “Lay back,” he urged, his voice low and commanding, yet soft enough to make your pulse stutter.
“What?” Your eyebrows shot up, your heart pounding as your gaze darted between him and the vast openness of the pool deck around you. “Here?!”
“Yes, here,” Joel replied without hesitation, his tone steady but edged with amusement, like he found your disbelief charming. His hands slid up your thighs, gripping them just enough to send another spark of heat through you. “Ain’t no one around, darlin’.”
“Joel,” you hissed, glancing toward the resort, your mind racing. “We’re gonna get arrested.”
He chuckled softly, his grin widening as he leaned in closer, his hands still resting on your thighs. “We won’t. Trust me,” he murmured, his voice dropping lower, almost a purr. “Now, lay back.”
“Fuck,” you groaned, squeezing your eyes shut for a moment before letting out a shaky breath and lowering yourself onto the cool stone. Your head rested against the ledge, the night sky stretching out above you, stars dotting the inky black canvas.
“Good girl,” Joel murmured, his voice softer now, almost reverent. His hands coaxed you down gently, sliding you closer to the edge until your hips hovered just above the water. “Shuffle down a bit. That’s it… just like that.”
Your body moved instinctively, following his instructions even as your mind screamed about the sheer insanity of what was happening. The cool air brushed against your skin, making you shiver, but Joel’s hands—warm, rough, and steady—kept you grounded.
“Relax,” he murmured, his voice a low rumble that somehow managed to soothe and ignite you at the same time. “I’ve got you.” Your heart pounded as you swallowed hard, the tension between you crackling like a live wire. Joel’s lips quirked into a faint, teasing grin. “All you gotta do,” he continued, his tone soft and coaxing, “is lay there and look pretty. You’re doin’ just fine.”
You sighed, a mix of nerves and anticipation, as his hands began to move. They slid slowly, deliberately, from your thighs to the thin ties of your bikini at your hips. His fingers worked with maddening precision, untying one side, then the other, the slow drag of the fabric against your skin making your breath hitch.
“Joel…” you started, your voice shaking as the last barrier slipped away, leaving you bare beneath him.
He paused, glancing up at you with a teasing glint in his eye. “Yeah, darlin’?”
“I swear to God,” you hissed, glancing toward the pool deck, “if someone sees us—”
“Shh,” he interrupted, his voice a whisper that carried more weight than it should have. His lips brushed against the inside of your thigh, a soft, deliberate kiss that made your breath catch. “Stop worrying,” he murmured, his voice low and rough, “and let me take care of ya.”
Before you could respond, he hooked both of your legs over his shoulders, his hands gripping your hips to steady you. The cool night air brushed against your bare skin.
“You’re somethin’ else, you know that?” Joel murmured, his voice soft but laced with his signature teasing edge. His gaze swept over you, slow and deliberate, the weight of it making you feel completely exposed in a way that sent heat rushing through you. “All this fussin’, but here you are, lettin’ me do this anyway.”
But then, to your surprise, he didn’t move. His hands rested firmly on your thighs, his gaze locked onto your bare cunt like he was savoring the moment, drawing it out. The pause stretched too long, and suddenly, the self-consciousness crept in. You started to close your legs, your body instinctively pulling inward.
“Don’t you dare,” Joel said sharply, his voice low but firm, and the command in it made your breath hitch.
“What’s wrong?” you asked, your voice uncertain as you pushed yourself up onto your elbows to look at him. The way his gaze burned into you made your stomach twist, the heat in his eyes almost overwhelming.
“Nothing,” Joel said, his voice quieter now, almost reverent. “I just… shit.” His hands tightened on your thighs as he shook his head slightly, his lips twitching into a faint, crooked smile. “I wish you could see yourself, baby. Drippin’ for me.”
Your breath caught, your entire body going still at his words. He hadn’t even properly touched you yet, and the ache between your legs was unbearable. As if he could read your mind, his eyes flicked to back your core, and he chuckled low, rough, and entirely too confident.
“Christ,” he muttered, his voice roughening as he watched you clench around nothing. “Really haven’t been fucked good in a while, huh? Damn shame.”
Your lips parted, ready to scold him for the audacity, but before you could get a single word out, Joel dove in. His mouth was on you, his beard brushing against your thighs, and the sensation sent a jolt of electricity shooting through your entire body.
“Oh my God!” you shrieked, your head falling back against the cool stone as your hands flew to his hair instinctively. The mix of his rough beard and the soft, deliberate way his tongue moved against you was overwhelming, like he knew exactly how to unravel you piece by piece.
Joel hummed against you, the low vibration sending shockwaves through your body as his hands gripped your hips, holding you firmly in place. “Taste even better than I imagined,” he murmured against your skin, his voice rough and muffled, his words brimming with that maddening, casual confidence. It would’ve made you roll your eyes if you weren’t already halfway undone.
Then one of his hands moved, his thumb brushing slow, devastating circles over your clit, and you nearly screamed, your back arching as the pleasure hit you like a tidal wave.
“Baby,” Joel murmured, his voice teasing yet commanding, “you’re gonna get us caught. And then,” he added with a smirk, his lips curving against your skin, “you’re gonna break my streak.”
You gasped, your breath trembling as you gripped the stone ledge for support, every nerve in your body alight. “Joel, you’re so good… shit,” you breathed, your voice faltering as his movements quickened, relentless and precise.
Joel didn’t answer, didn’t stop to tease. He just growled against you, the deep sound reverberating through your core as he devoured you like a starving man who’d been waiting for this moment forever. His lips, his tongue, the rough scrape of his beard—it was too much and not enough all at once.
“Joel, I’m close,” you gasped, your voice trembling as your hands scrambled for something, anything, to anchor yourself, but the smooth stone beneath you offered no reprieve. Your body was suspended in pure sensation, trembling on the edge.
“Shit, baby,” Joel muttered, pulling back for just a second to bite gently at the inside of your thigh, his teeth sending sparks of pain-tinged pleasure racing through you. “That was easy.” And then he was back, relentless and hungry.
Your breath hitched, and all you could do was gasp his name. “Oh… oh, I’m gonna—Joel, I’m gonna cum—fuck!” The words tore from your throat as the pleasure crashed over you, your body trembling violently as waves of heat and release consumed you. Your legs clamped around his head involuntarily, your body overwhelmed as you rode the high, every nerve sparking like wildfire.
Joel didn’t let up. His tongue moved with practiced precision, drawing out every last ounce of pleasure until your body was nothing but sensation. You whimpered, your hands flying to his hair, tugging desperately. “Joel,” you gasped, your voice trembling. “Stop—please, it’s too much.”
Still, his lips lingered, a soft, satisfied hum vibrating against you before he finally pulled back, but not without one last, languid stroke of his tongue that left your entire body trembling.
His eyes, dark and heavy-lidded, fixed on you like you were a masterpiece he wasn’t finished admiring. Slowly, deliberately, he swiped his bottom lip with his thumb, his gaze unwavering as if he were savoring every second of your unraveling.
Then, with a tenderness that felt almost out of place after the intensity of what had just passed, he leaned back in, brushing the lightest, most deliberate kiss against your swollen, sensitive clit. Your body jolted, a shiver rippling through you that made your breath hitch audibly.
“So damn sweet,” Joel murmured, his voice low, husky, and dripping with reverence, like it was a secret only he was privileged to know.
Finally, with a satisfied hum, Joel pulled back, his lips and beard glistening as he pushed himself out of the pool and collapsed beside you on the cool stone. His chest heaved as he caught his breath, a cocky grin spreading across his face as he glanced over at you.
You stared at him, your vision hazy, your body still humming from the aftershocks. He looked insane—angelic, even—his hair damp and tousled, his lips swollen and wet, his grin entirely too pleased with himself.
“Shit,” you murmured, your voice barely a whisper.
Joel propped himself up on one elbow, his grin widening. “How’d I do?” he asked, his tone teasing but laced with genuine pride.
You didn’t answer. Instead, you grabbed his face and pulled him into a kiss, your lips crashing against his as you moaned softly into his mouth, tasting yourself on him. His hand slid to your waist, pulling you closer as he deepened the kiss, his thumb brushing over your skin in slow, lazy circles.
After a moment, you broke the kiss, your lips brushing against his as you whispered, “Too good.”
Joel chuckled, his grin widening as you reached for your bikini bottoms, slipping them back on as you tried to gather yourself. You opened your mouth to say something, but a sudden, blinding flashlight beam broke through the tension.
“Hey! Who’s there?” a loud voice yelled, the beam swinging toward you.
Your eyes widened in panic, but Joel just laughed, the sound low and warm as he grabbed your hand. “Shit,” he murmured, his grin turning wicked as he whispered, “Run.”
Before you could protest, Joel was pulling you to your feet, his hand tight around yours as the two of you sprinted away, your laughter bubbling out of you uncontrollably.
The heavy footsteps of the security guard pounded behind you, and Joel’s low chuckle filled your ears as he led you through the resort, ducking around corners and weaving between palm trees.
“You’re insane!” you hissed between gasps of laughter, your hand tightening in his as you glanced back at the guard, who was struggling to keep up.
“You love it!” Joel shot back, his grin wide as he glanced over his shoulder, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
By the time you finally collapsed behind a cluster of bushes, both of you out of breath and laughing, you couldn’t help but think that this might just be the best night of your life.

The Brit and the Croissant
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The paddock was buzzing with the usual chaos of a race weekend. Engineers hustled around the garages, drivers huddled with their teams, and fans filled the grandstands, eager to catch a glimpse of their favorite racers. Y/N stood at the entrance of the Alpine garage, her eyes scanning the scene for a familiar figure. The roar of engines and the scent of burning rubber filled the air, but all she cared about was finding him—Pierre Gasly, her boyfriend and the love of her life.
She spotted him adjusting his helmet, his usual confident smirk on display as he chatted with his race engineer. Pierre's eyes met hers, and his expression immediately softened. His cocky smile was replaced with a gentle one, reserved only for her.
“Mon amour!” Pierre called out, walking over and pulling her into his arms. He kissed her forehead, holding her close. “I missed you.”
Y/N laughed softly, running her fingers through his messy hair. “I saw you two hours ago, Pierre.”
“Two hours too long,” he mumbled into her hair, tightening his embrace.
Y/N loved how soft he was with her, how he let his guard down completely. On the track, he was fierce and competitive, but with her, he was a different person. She kissed him lightly on the lips, but before they could get lost in their little bubble, a familiar voice interrupted them.
“Ugh, get a room, you two,” Lando groaned dramatically, rolling his eyes as he sauntered over, wearing his bright McLaren suit and a pout that would rival a toddler. “You’re always hogging her, Gasly.”
Pierre glanced at Lando, a smirk forming. “Jealous, Norris?”
“No,” Lando scoffed, but his face said otherwise. He turned to Y/N, his blue eyes sparkling with mischief. “Come on, Y/N. You promised you’d hang out with me today, and someone”—he shot Pierre a pointed look—“keeps stealing you away.”
Y/N chuckled, enjoying their little rivalry. “I’m not an object, you know. I can hang out with both of you.”
Lando placed a hand over his heart, dramatically sighing as if he’d been wounded. “Wow, Y/N, my best friend, my number one supporter…betrayed.” He wiped an imaginary tear, causing Y/N to burst into laughter.
Pierre rolled his eyes, though he was smiling. “You’re such a drama queen, Lando.”
“Says the guy who throws a fit every time he doesn’t get his favorite croissants,” Lando shot back, making Y/N giggle. Pierre’s love for pastries was notorious in the paddock.
“Touché,” Y/N teased, nudging Pierre playfully. “I have to give him that one.”
Pierre feigned a wounded look, leaning against the wall dramatically. “Et tu, mon amour? You wound me.”
Y/N placed a hand on his cheek, her thumb brushing lightly against his stubbled skin. “You know you’re my favorite French drama queen.”
Before Pierre could reply, Lando grabbed Y/N’s hand, pulling her towards the McLaren garage. “Come on, Y/N. Let’s go prank Oscar. I’ve got some rubber snakes that he’s definitely not going to like.”
Y/N shot Pierre an apologetic look, but he just waved them off, his expression soft. “Have fun. But remember, I get her back later.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Lando said dismissively, already plotting mischief. “We’ll return her in one piece.”
Pierre watched them walk away, his heart swelling as he saw Y/N’s bright smile. He loved her friendship with Lando, even if it meant sharing her attention more than he would have liked. Lando might be his rival on the track, but off it, the three of them had a bond that was rare and precious.
---
The day passed in a blur of laughter and chaos. Lando’s prank on Oscar had been a roaring success, ending with Oscar chasing Lando around the garage while Y/N tried—and failed—to stop laughing. They spent the afternoon joking around, watching practice sessions, and taking silly selfies, much to the amusement of the McLaren team.
But as evening approached, Y/N found herself missing Pierre. She loved Lando like a brother, but Pierre was her heart. She slipped away from the McLaren hospitality, making her way back to the Alpine motorhome.
Pierre was waiting for her, sitting on the steps with his phone in hand. When he saw her approaching, his face lit up, and he stood up to greet her.
“Back so soon?” he teased, though his eyes were full of warmth.
“I missed you,” Y/N admitted, wrapping her arms around his waist and burying her face in his chest.
Pierre kissed the top of her head, rubbing her back soothingly. “I missed you too, chérie. Did you and Lando have fun?”
“Yeah, but he’s such a handful,” Y/N said, pulling back to look up at him. “He’s like a hyperactive puppy.”
Pierre chuckled, nodding in agreement. “That’s why you’re good for him. You keep him grounded. But… I’m glad you’re back with me.”
Y/N smiled, feeling the familiar flutter in her chest whenever he looked at her like that. “I’m exactly where I want to be.”
Just as they were sharing a quiet moment, Lando’s voice broke through the calm. “Oi! Lovebirds! I’m still here, you know.”
Pierre sighed, turning to see Lando leaning against the wall, watching them with a fake pout. “Don’t you have somewhere to be, Norris?”
“Yeah, with you two. This is quality third-wheeling right here,” Lando said, unabashed. He sidled up beside Y/N, looping an arm around her shoulders. “Seriously though, Y/N, we need to plan more best friend days. Pierre hogs you way too much.”
Y/N laughed, pulling both boys into a side hug. “I don’t know how I got stuck with the two of you, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Pierre kissed her temple, his voice soft. “We’re lucky to have you, Y/N.”
Lando rolled his eyes but smiled anyway. “Yeah, yeah. But remember, Y/N, I was here first.”
Pierre glanced at Lando, raising an eyebrow. “And yet, she’s still with me, Norris.”
“Only because she pities you,” Lando shot back, sticking his tongue out like a child.
Y/N groaned, hiding her face in her hands as Pierre and Lando continued their playful bickering. It was ridiculous how they always fought over her, but she wouldn’t trade it for anything. Their banter was the heartbeat of her days, and no matter how much they squabbled, she knew deep down that they cared for each other in their own weird, competitive way.
---
Later that evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, the three of them found themselves sitting on the grass, watching the track lights twinkle in the distance. Y/N sat between Pierre and Lando, her head resting on Pierre’s shoulder while Lando kept talking animatedly about his plans to prank Max next.
“You two are exhausting,” Y/N said, her voice laced with affection.
Pierre squeezed her hand, his thumb tracing circles on her skin. “But you love us.”
“Unfortunately,” Y/N joked, earning a laugh from both boys.
Lando bumped her shoulder with his, smiling softly. “You’re the best, Y/N. Thanks for putting up with us.”
Pierre nodded, his expression full of tenderness as he gazed at her. “Thank you for being the peace between us.”
Y/N looked between the two most important people in her life and grinned. “Always. You’re both stuck with me.”
And in that moment, with the night sky above them and the sounds of the track in the background, everything felt perfect. They were an unlikely trio, but they fit together in the best way possible, and no amount of bickering or teasing could change that.
They were family.

“oh that one is so cute too,” soonyoung says, watching you take out clothes from seungcheol’s closet.
in your hands is one of the shirts cheol wears at home, and the one you got him last week. it still smells like his cologne from the last time he wore it, and you giggle, as soonyoung looks at you weirdly. “oh my god, you love him, don’t you?”
you roll your eyes at your friend’s obnoxious grin, and put the shirt on the side, looking down at what you’re wearing—cheol’s red jersey and the cargo shorts he usually pairs with it.
“yeah…i do.” soonyoung pretends to throw up, and you protest, “hey! of course i do, i’m dating him for god’s sake.”
soonyoung gets up from laying down on the ground, his hair all over the place as he picks up the bucket hat he picked out earlier.
he stares at it, mumbling under his breath, “wow, this looks like it’s just my size…” he looks over at the pair of shoes his best friend had bought the week before and gasps, crawling over to it quickly. “these look perfect for me too.”
you chuckle at his excitement before you get interrupted by a voice coming from the door. “what do you think you’re doing, soonyoung?”
you turn to see seungcheol standing in the doorway, his eyebrows twitching at soonyoung's protective arms around his shoes. your boyfriend looks at you and smiles softly in greeting before turning back to soonyoung, who’s frozen on the ground in fear.
“um…” soonyoung smiles nervously at his friend. “hi cheolie!”
seungcheol raises an eyebrow before pointing down at soonyoung’s lap. “what are you doing with my bucket hat?”
soonyoung glances at you, begging for help, as you giggle, and he gets up, running out of the room with seungcheol’s clothes still in his arms.
“hey—” seungcheol yells before you grab his arm to stop him and place a kiss on his cheek. “go get that tiger.”
seungcheol melts in your hands before he picks himself back up and pats your cheek once you loosen your grip on him and winks.
“i will. you look really good in my clothes by the way, you better be wearing them when i get back!” he says softly before he runs after soonyoung, yelling out his friend’s name.
you smile at their antics, before looking down at your outfit consisting of just cheol’s clothes. it’s way too comfortable to take off, and you stare at his messy closet (of course, that’s yours and soonyoung’s fault).
…maybe your boyfriend wouldn’t mind that much if something else went missing if it’s you that’s the thief.

Male hashira x chubby black reader thanksgiving special
Tumblr media
Giyuu Tomioka: The Awkward Thanksgiving Cook
Thanksgiving wasn’t really Giyuu’s thing—big celebrations made him anxious. But for you? He was willing to try.
You were in the kitchen, R&B playing softly as you prepared the turkey. Giyuu stood nearby, watching you like a hawk. “Do you… need help?” he asked, unsure what to do with his hands.
“Yes! Here, mash these potatoes,” you said, handing him a bowl.
Giyuu nodded, determined. However, it became clear he had no idea how to mash potatoes. He used the masher as if it were a sword, stabbing at them awkwardly.
“Giyuu!” you laughed, reaching to take the masher from him. “You’re supposed to press, not attack them like they’re a demon!”
His face turned red. “I—I was trying my best…”
You leaned over, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. “You’re adorable when you’re flustered, you know that?”
By the time dinner was ready, Giyuu was quiet, but his subtle glances told you everything he couldn’t say aloud. As you sat together, he reached over, taking your hand.
“Thank you for this,” he murmured. “I’m… grateful for you. For putting up with me.”
You smiled, squeezing his hand. “You don’t have to thank me, Giyuu. I love you.”
Blushing furiously, he leaned in and kissed you gently, his other hand resting on your waist. “I love you too.”
Gyomei Himejima: The Gentle Giant’s Feast
Gyomei had insisted on helping you prepare Thanksgiving dinner, but his idea of “helping” was carrying every heavy dish and ingredient, leaving you with nothing to lift.
“Gyomei, I can carry the pie,” you said, laughing as he effortlessly balanced the turkey and stuffing.
“Your hands should be free to work your magic,” he said, his deep voice soothing.
Despite his size, Gyomei was a careful and precise cook, gently seasoning dishes and tasting everything to ensure it was perfect. “This cranberry sauce is as sweet as you are,” he said, a smile gracing his face.
You blushed, playfully swatting his arm. “You’re lucky you’re cute.”
Later, when it was time to eat, Gyomei pulled out a chair for you, his large hands brushing your waist as he guided you to your seat. “You’ve worked hard, Y/N. Let me take care of everything now.”
As the night wound down, you found yourself wrapped in his arms on the couch, his warm hand resting on your hip. “I am endlessly thankful for you,” he said, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “You bring so much joy into my life.”
“You’re gonna make me cry,” you whispered, burying your face in his chest.
“Then I’ll hold you tighter,” he said, his arms wrapping around you like a fortress.
Sanemi Shinazugawa: The Competitive Chef
“Y/N, move over! I’m making the mac and cheese,” Sanemi barked, shoving his way into the kitchen.
“Sanemi, I already started it!” you protested, trying to nudge him away.
“Yeah, but I can make it better,” he said, smirking as he reached for the shredded cheese.
Cooking with Sanemi was a battle. He insisted on doing everything his way, which led to a messy kitchen and lots of bickering. At one point, he accidentally splashed gravy on your shirt.
“Sanemi!” you yelled, glaring at him.
He froze, then shrugged. “You look cute covered in food.”
“Apologize!”
“Never.”
Despite the chaos, dinner turned out amazing. As you sat down to eat, Sanemi’s expression softened. “You did good, babe,” he said, reaching across the table to squeeze your hand. “I don’t say it enough, but… I’m thankful for you. Even when you nag me.”
“Wow. So romantic,” you deadpanned.
“Come here,” he said, tugging you into his lap. Before you could protest, he kissed you deeply, his hands resting on your waist. “Happy Thanksgiving, brat.”
Kyojuro Rengoku: The Sunshine Chef
Kyojuro was all smiles as he helped you in the kitchen, his energy lighting up the room. “Y/N! This turkey is going to be the most flavorful bird in history!” he declared, holding a shaker of spices like it was a sacred artifact.
“You said that about the yams,” you teased, laughing.
“And I was correct!”
Cooking with Kyojuro was fun, albeit messy. He sang along to your playlist, twirling you around the kitchen in between tasks. At one point, he tried to flip a pancake and ended up tossing it onto the ceiling.
“Kyo!”
“It’s fine! A minor setback!”
When dinner was ready, Kyojuro made a speech about how thankful he was for you. “You, Y/N, are the brightest flame in my life. I am honored to spend today—and every day—with you.”
You couldn’t help but smile as he pulled you into a hug, lifting you off your feet. “Kyo, you’re ridiculous,” you said, laughing.
“Ridiculously in love with you!” he replied, kissing you passionately.
Tengen Uzui and His Wives: The Flashiest Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving with Tengen and his wives was an extravagant event. The table was decked out with gold-trimmed plates and candles, and everyone had dressed up, even though it was just dinner at home.
“Only the flashiest celebration for my gorgeous wife!” Tengen said, wrapping an arm around your waist.
Suma was in charge of desserts, though she kept sneaking bites. Makio and Hinatsuru worked on sides, while Tengen focused on entertaining you.
“Y/N, taste this!” he said, feeding you a piece of turkey.
“It’s good,” you said, laughing.
“Good? It’s magnificent!”
When it was time to eat, Tengen insisted on sitting next to you, his hand on your thigh the entire meal. “Let me remind you how thankful I am for you, my love,” he whispered, leaning close to kiss your cheek.
After dinner, the group pulled you into a dance party in the living room, Tengen twirling you dramatically. “This is the best Thanksgiving ever!”
Obanai Iguro: The Quiet Romantic
Obanai wasn’t big on holidays, but he tried his best for you. He stayed close as you cooked, occasionally stepping in to offer quiet suggestions.
“Don’t over-season the stuffing,” he said, watching you closely.
“You don’t trust me?” you teased.
“I trust you… I just want it to be perfect,” he admitted, his cheeks pink.
When dinner was ready, Obanai sat next to you, his hand finding its way to your waist. He didn’t say much, but his actions spoke volumes. He made sure you had everything you needed and even offered to do the dishes after.
Later, as you cuddled on the couch, he pulled you closer, his lips brushing against your neck. “Thank you for today,” he said quietly. “I’m thankful for you. For your patience with me. For… everything.”
You turned to kiss him softly. “I’m thankful for you too, Obanai.”
Muichiro Tokito: The Quiet Sweetheart
Muichiro had forgotten it was Thanksgiving until you reminded him, but he quickly got into the spirit. He followed you around the kitchen, asking questions about the food.
“Why is it called stuffing?” he asked, tilting his head.
“Because you stuff it in the turkey,” you explained, laughing.
“That makes sense.”
Muichiro wasn’t the best cook, but he helped in small ways, like handing you utensils and taste-testing everything. “This is good,” he said after every bite, his tone serious.
When dinner was ready, he sat next to you, his hand brushing against yours. “Thank you for making this,” he said softly. “I’m… happy to be here with you.”
After dinner, you cuddled together on the couch, his head resting on your shoulder. “I love you, Y/N,” he said simply, his hand finding yours.
You smiled, pressing a kiss to his temple. “I love you too, Muichiro.”

MHA Mezo Shoji x Reader - Make Believe - I
Summary: You ask Shoji to pretend to be your boyfriend for a dinner with your parents.
Warnings: fluff, fake dating trope, long/multi parted, not proofread
Tumblr media
Glancing down at your watch, you fidgetted nervously, standing in the hall awkwardly. 'He's usually on his way to lunch by now,' you thought to yourself, scanning the hordes of students for a particular person. Suddenly, your eyes fell on a messy head of silver hair and your interest piqued. Booking it through the crowd, you finally found who you were looking for. "Shoji!" you chirped, stopping so short in front of him that you nearly smashed into him. "I've been looking all over for you!"
"Oh, sorry," he replied nonchalantly, beginning to walk with you to the lunch room. "Didn't mean to be so hard to find."
"It's okay," you reassured him. "I noticed you weren't in class today and I was worried," you admitted, going alongside him with your hands knotted together behind your back.
"Sorry to worry you," he said, finding a table and sitting down. "I was in the support classroom all morning getting my costume redone." He explained, rummaging through his bag. "Did I miss anything important?"
"You missed a pop quiz in Mic's class, but it's super easy. Oh and you missed a lecture on quirk evolution in science but don't worry," you beamed, producing a packet of papers from your own bag. "I took the liberty of taking extra notes on your behalf!"
Shoji took the notes from you, skimming through them. There were multiple pages, all front and back filled with neat color-coded writing, organized with bullet points. "Wow, these are pretty thorough, this isn't your copy is it?"He asked, still rummaging through his bag with an annoyed sigh.
"Nope!" you chirped, pulling out an identical set of papers. "What are you looking for, by the way?"
Shoji glanced up at you before looking back into his bag. "Oh, just my lunch. Must've forgotten it back in my dorm."
"Today's your lucky day then," you giggle, pulling two bentos out of your bag and handing him one. "I made you lunch!"
He hesitantly took it, eyeing you closely. "What's with you today, why're you being so niced to me?"n he asked suspiciously, poping off the top of the box.
You blushed, averting your gaze quickly, trying to think of an excuse. "What, aren't I always nice to you, Shoji?"
"Well, yeah," he admitted. "But it seems like you're sucking up for something." He punctuated his point by digging a pair of chopsticks into the portion of rice you'd made him before popping it in his mouth. "Damn, this is good, actually."
"Shoji! Did you expect it to be bad?" you ask, feigning hurt. "And thinking I'd be nice to you just to get something in return is honestly just mean!"
"Okay, okay, fine, I'm sorry, thank you for the notes and lunch." He finally relented, throwing his hands up in defense. "How can I repay you?"
"Well..." you begin sheepishly. "There is this one thing-"
"Ah-hah!" Shoji laughed, tossing you a side glare as he ate. "I knew you wanted something." He watched as the blood rushed to your cheeks and you tried to back peddle, beginning to ramble. "C'mon, just spit it out already, what do you need?"
"Would you come home with me to have dinner with my parents tonight?' you finally blurted after beating around the bush.
"What, why me?" he asked, bewildered. "I mean we're good friends and all but wouldn't you rather take a closer friend like Tsu or Ochacko?"
"Well...about that...I was hoping you could...pretend to be my boyfriend?" you ask bashfully, wincing in preparation for rejection.
"Are you serious?" he asked, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"I-It's just that, it's my grandmother's birthday and she's sick and we don't think she'll be around much longer. She really wants to see me with someone and I don't want to let her down!" you rambled on, pleading. "Please, Shoji, I promise it's just for the night and I'll do whatever you ask to make it up to you!"
After a moment, he sighed, annoyed. "You already told her you were bringing someone, didn't you?" You nodded, hands clasped together as if praying. "Oh, fine, alright!" he scoffed. "But you owe me."
Gasp, you squeal in delight, throwing your arms around his neck and snuggling into his torso in an awkward but meaningful hug. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!"
"Whatever," he groaned, rolling his eyes, but wrapping you up in his arms all the same. "What time are we leaving?"
"The train leaves at 5:15." you replied as he released you. "So meet me at the station at 5."
"Sounds like a plan."

The Little Batgirl (Yandere Platonic Batfam x Child Reader)
Tumblr media
Chapter 1 - Welcome to the Wayne Manor
Warning: Yandere Themes and minor bullying from Damian
(Anything that reader says in a bolded text means she's in "thought of mind.")
The car stops in front of some metal gates.
Bruce helps Y/N out of the car, and she looks up at the giant mansion that is in front of her.
Tumblr media
(Do NOT steal my art!)
Y/N looks up at awe as the mansion was right in front of her.
"So, this guy's rich! Can't believe this is going to be my new life," she thinks to herself as she stares.
Then, a butler comes out and bows in a respected manner towards the little girl.
"Greetings, Miss Y/N. Welcome to your new home, I hope you'll be happy here," he said in a kind manner.
"The butler knows my name, too!" She thinks to herself with wide eyes.
When Y/N goes inside, the first thing she sees is a young boy who looks a little older than her. Maybe about a couple of years.
For some reason, she felt an uneasy vibe from him.
Bruce basically pushed the young girl towards him and told him to help her look around.
The boy stares down at Y/N before he lends out her hand.
"I'm Damian Wayne, the only biological son of Bruce Wayne," he introduces himself in a cool tone.
"Um... hi? I'm Y/N..." She said in an awkward tone as she accepted his hand to shake.
Damian then walks around Y/N as he eyes her appearance up and down before his face was an inch from her's.
"Your hair is messy. I would brush it if I were you," he tells her in a cold tone before he turns his heels and walks off to lead her for the tour.
Y/N could only stare at him with a blank stare.
"Wow, what a rude boy..." she thoughts before she follows him.
~~~~~
While Y/N was walking around for the tour, she stopped to see Damian showing her a portrait of a strange looking family tree.
"This is the main batfamily line," he said as he showed the family portrait.
She examines it as she turns her gaze to Damian.
"What's the batfamily?" She asks.
"It's what we call ourselves," he tells her before he leads the way again.
"Also, that bat plush looks old and dirty. Get a new one or something," he tells her as he walks.
When he said that, Y/N stops to think about what he was talking about.
Then, she realized that he was talking about Batsie, her favorite and only plush doll.
"Hey! Don't call my best friend that!" She yells out to him as she jogs after him.
~~~~~
As Y/N followed Damian, she gets to see so many rooms around the mansion.
Then, he takes her to the batcave.
There, Y/N's eyes brighten with amusement as she looks around the enormous batcave.
There were so many cool artifacts, such as the world's giant penny.
"Where did you get that dinosaur?" She asks Damian as she points at a huge dinosaur model.
"Father built a time machine to travel back in time to get this," he tells her.
"Really?"
"No."
Damian walks out of the batcave, leaving Y/N all alone I her thoughts filled uup.
"So, does he have a time machine or not?" She asks.
~~~~~
After the tour and Damian basically calling rude names towards Y/N, she was trying to find her room.
When she finally finds a pink door that looks freshly painted, she goes inside.
In her room, there was a massive pink princess bed with pink and white covers and some fluffy pillows, and the shelves in that room had various kinds of books and basically almost all of the stuffed animals in the world.
Although the room looks beautiful and adorable at the same time, Y/N felt an odd feeling when she was inside.
However, it was all shrugged off before she flung herself onto her new bed.
~~~~~
As Y/N was technically jumping up and down on her bed, a pair of eyes were watching her.
Damian then moves away from the door and walks up to his father.
"Did you make sure that you put in everything she liked?" Bruce asks him in his usual cold tone.
Damian nods in response.
"How do you know that those were the dolls she liked?" He asks him which made Bruce chuckle.
Something about Bruce's chuckle sounded a bit darker than his usual laugh.
"I have my ways. Now, get everyone here. We're going to throw our new member a welcome party," he tells him before he walks off.

SLUT!
chapter four: they took the crown but it’s all all right
series masterlist
Tumblr media
In the morning, Peter was the first to wake up. He was wondering why he hadn’t heard the sound of Neds ten different alarms going off until he opened his eyes. He saw the glow in the dark stars on your ceiling and remembered he was in your dorm. He sat up and little and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes just as you were waking up. You sat up and scrunched your nose in disgust.
“We smell like the locker room at a public pool.” You said, making Peter laugh through his yawn.
“Yeah. We probably should’ve showered the chlorine off before going to bed.”
“Yes. We should have. But it was nice to wake up to some company nonetheless.” You smiled sleepily and leaned in to kiss him.
“Sorry. Morning breath.” He said once you pulled away.
“It’s okay. It was worth it.” You laughed before getting out of your bed. Peter watched you move around your room as you collected some things with a sleepy smile on his face. He could not believe he had just woken up in a girls bed after falling asleep beside her. He’d never been this close with a girl so to know you trusted him enough to be around him in your pajamas and messy hair meant a lot to him. He’d finally found someone he connected with and he was so glad it was you.
“I’ll be right back. I’m gonna shower really quick. You stay here.” You said and kissed him one last time before leaving. You came back shortly with wet hair hanging around your face.
“What time is your first class?” Peter asked as he stood up from the bed.
“10. You?”
“I don’t have anything until 1.” He replied.
“Do you want to meet up after class?” You asked and wrapped your arms around his neck.
“Always.” Peter scoffed playfully. You grinned and pecked his lips one last time before leaving your dorm room together. You left the building and heading towards Peters dorm so that he could shower before class. As soon as you left your dorm lobby, you saw Brad Davis on his way to an early morning practice. He looked between you and Peter and faked a loud laugh.
“Oh, no way.” Brad laughed obnoxiously. “What do we have here?”
“God damn it.” You groaned. “Why are you everywhere? How small is this stupid campus?”
“Wow, Y/n. Can’t say I’m surprised to see you on a walk of shame.” Brad said and looked you up and down judgmentally.
“It’s not a walk of shame. I’m literally just walking out of my own dorm.” You pointed out.
“Yeah. With this guy. What happened? You ran through all the athletes so you had to start banging the nerds?” Brad asked and gestured to Peter.
“What did you just say to her?” Peter snapped as he stepped between you and Brad. You raised your eyebrows in surprise at the sight of your sweet, innocent Peter raising his voice at someone. Even Brad was intimidated by Peters tone and took a step back.
“What did she tell you? That she’ll sleep with you if you do her homework? That’s her move, you know. That’s what she does with every guy. So don’t go thinking you’re special.” Brad said with less confidence this time.
“Brad, you have no place calling me a slut. You have ten times the amount of bodies I do. And aren’t you the one responsible for giving half the rowing team the clap?” You asked him, making his eyes darken. He stepped up to you and you felt anxiety build up in the pit of your stomach.
“You better watch it, skank. At least I don’t whore myself out to any guy-“
“That’s enough.” Peter cut Brad off as he stepped between the two of you.
“Dude, who do you think you are? Don’t touch me.” Brad laughed in Peters face and tried to push past him to get to you.
“No, you’re not gonna get near her. I don’t like the way you talk to and about my girlfriend. So back up.” Peter said as he gently but firmly pushed Brad back a little. Brad looked furious at first until he processed what Peter had said. He looked at you and realized you and Peter were holding hands, making his face crumble.
“Girlfriend? Is this guy serious? You’re not actually dating, are you?” Brad asked you and sounded genuinely hurt.
“We are. We started off as friends and fell for each other. You’d know a little something about falling for a friend, wouldn’t you? Only in this case, I liked him back.” You replied. Brad narrowed his eyes at you and Peter could tell that really hurt him to hear. Instead of Brad retaliating with more insults, he just shrugged.
“Whatever.” He scoffed and bumped your shoulder as he walked away.
“And you wonder why I didn’t want you.” You called after him.
“SLUT!” Brad loudly shouted in response. People turned their heads to look not at the guy shouting in the morning, but at the girl he was shouting at. You felt hot tears of embarrassment well in your eyes and pulled Peter by the hand until you were in the boys dorm lobby. You sat down and put your face in your hands and rubbed them uo and down. Peter sat beside you and put his hand on your back to comfort you. You wiped your face off the stray tears that had fallen and laughed sadly.
“Do you know how many times I’ve been called that word? I don’t know why it still hurts me. I should be used to it by now.”
“Well, it’s like getting punched in the face. No matter how many times it happens, it’s always gonna hurt.” Peter replied, making you laugh more genuinely this time.
“You sound like you’re speaking from experience. Have you been punched in the face many times?” You asked him with a raised eyebrow.
“There’s a lot you don’t know about me.” Peter answered, making you laugh once again. Peter once again demonstrated his way of easing the pain of the words they threw at you.
“Why does Brad hate you so much?” Peter asked once you were calmed down. You sighed and looked at Peter, knowing it was time he heard the full story.
“Brad and I used to be friends. He was my first friend at college, actually. We had the same schedule freshman year so I saw him everyday. Then we started hanging out on weekends. That’s when you know you’ve crossed over from college friends to actual friends.“
“Really? I can’t imagine you being friends with a guy like that.”
“Believe it or not, he used to be a really good friend.”
“Seriously? Brad was?” Peter scoffed in disbelief.
“I know. I wouldn’t believe it either. But he wasn’t always like the way he is now.”
“Well what happened between you guys to make him act like that?”
“It happened over time. Brad had a huge crush on me freshman year. I didn’t know that until much later. He used to he really nice and funny but once he joined the basketball team, it was game over. He was still friendly to me over text but when his teammates were around, he was someone else.” You began but then stopped. You were picking at your nails again and Peter could tell you were remembering something you didn’t want to remember.
“You don’t have to tell me.” Peter said softly and put his hand over yours.
“I do, though.” You told him. “It’s my story. And if I don’t tell you, someone else will. And it will be all wrong. I need to tell you exactly what happened.”
“So tell me.” Peter said kindly, making you sigh again.
“I went to one of Brad’s games one night because he invited me. It was at some point in the middle of the basketball season and he hadn’t been playing very well lately. I knew it was really stressing him out so I went to cheer for him. I thought it would make him feel better, you know? Anyway, we were talking on a court after the game and his teammates came up to us. They asked if I was his girlfriend and started to tease us, which I pretty much expected. But then one of them asked me if I hadn’t “put out” in a while and that’s why Brad was so distracted during the games.”
“What? Who said that to you?” Peter asked as his nose scrunched in disdain.
“Some senior.” You shrugged. “He’s graduated now. I don’t even remember his name.”
“Yes you do.” Peter could tell.
“Jackson.” You admitted and gave Peter a sheepish smile.
“Always a J name.” Peter grumbled and slapped his hand on the table. You laughed softly but your smile slowly faded as you remembered that day.
“I was 17. That guy was like 22. Everyone laughed. I was mortified.” You said quietly.
“Of course you were. Who wouldn’t be? What kind of weirdo would say that to a 17 year old girl they had just met? And what did Brad say?”
“He said, “yeah, look what you’re doing to my game”, and smacked my ass.” You recalled. Peters eyebrows went up and he looked over his shoulder out the window to see Brad. He was laughing with some guys out in the middle of campus, putting a feeling of rage inside Peter. Brad got to walk around campus and laugh with his friends while you had to walk fast to avoid getting harassed. He felt angry that Brad had put his hands on you. He felt angry that no one stood up for you. He felt angry that you were innocent in the situation but you had been the one that became an outcast because of it.
“What happened after that?” Peter asked as he turned back to you. He could tell from the look in your eyes that you were still in that moment, still in the gym when it all went down.
“After that, he laughed. Then they all laughed. At me. Brad was looking at me and I knew he instantly regretted it, but he didn’t say anything so I didn’t say anything either. But I didn’t even know what to say. I was totally frozen. I wanted to stick up for myself but they were all older and I was alone in the gym with them. I was worried if I fired back, they’d make me pay for it.”
“I’m sorry you ever had to feel that way.” Peter frowned as he eyebrows knit together. He’d been bullied plenty of times himself, but he never had to worry about sexual violence in the way you did.
“Brad was different after that. I forgave him and we didn’t talk about it because I didn’t know any better at the time. But then he started to be like that all the time. He would make fun of me in front of them to get a laugh and then shoot me a text later saying he hoped I didn’t “take offense” to it. He wouldn’t defend me if his friends made a comment about my body or my appearance and eventually, he started doing the same.”
“That seems more like the Brad I know.” Peter mumbled and thought back to his high school days of watching Brad tease the girls on the cheerleading team with jokes that made them deeply uncomfortable.
“Trust me. He’s way worse than whatever you saw in high school. It’s like there’s no rules in college. There’s no principle to report to so people like Brad can get away with way more. He and his friends get to say whatever they want to me and nobody stops them.”
“I’ve seen it. It’s frustrating for me to watch so I can’t even imagine how it feels for you to be the one experiencing it.”
“It feels terrible. And hopeless. And overwhelming. All things he never has to feel.”
“What was he talking that day about when he called you a homie hopper?” Peter wondered.
“Ah, yes. He does love to throw that term around. He’s been throwing that at me for three years now. That’s where I get my reputation.” You smiled tightly. “Towards the end of freshman year, Brad asked me out. I said no, obviously, and he got mad when I rejected him. I guess he thought that despite the way he treated me and what he let our friendship become, I’d still be interested in him? I don’t know. But he got so mad at me because I guess he felt embarrassed. I wounded his manhood or whatever.”
“God forbid.” Peter rolled his eyes.
“I know, right? So to get back at me, he told his friends we hooked up but that I couldn’t get him off. Then his friends naturally started telling people I was bad in bed. And when people asked how they knew that, they’d say they had slept with me too and that it was a horrible experience. Gwen’s boyfriend, the one I told you about, is Harry. He told her that I slept with him, which never even happened, and now she hates me. She told my team and they spread it even more. So suddenly, I was 18 and my whole school thought I had slept my way through the basketball team and left them all dissatisfied. Meanwhile, I’d never even had my first kiss. But once a rumor like that gets around, no one cares about the truth. The truth wasn’t nearly as interesting. And it just gave way to all other kinds of rumors. People said I had all these diseases and stole all these boyfriends. They would whisper about me behind my back and eventually they started saying things to my face. Boys hated me. Girls hated me. No one wanted to be my friend. I couldn’t walk to class without someone yelling “slut” at me. It replaced my name my whole sophmore year. I’ve been a total pariah ever since. It’s not as bad now but my reputation stuck. I’ll always be the campus slut.”
Peter felt his heart sink when he heard the very words Ned had used to describe you the first time Peter talked about you. He knew it was bad, but he didn’t know it was that bad. He reached forward to wipe your tears and you smiled softly at him.
“Why didn’t you tell everyone that those boys were lying?” Peter wondered.
“You don’t think I tried? I tried to clear my name but women aren’t exactly known for being believed in situations like this. Or, any situation, actually. Me being a slut was the far more interesting story. So that’s what everyone chose to believe. I can’t shake this reputation until I graduate. They’ll always call me a slut.” You shrugged at your accepted fate.
“I’d never call you that.” Peter assured you as he put his hands on top of yours. You smiled and put your hand on top of Peters
“I know you wouldn’t.” You nodded. “Being with you makes me feel brand new. You’re the first guy who’s ever liked me for me, not because of what you think you can get from me. You make it all easier to bear. All the names they call me fade to nothing when I look at you.”
Peter put his hand on your cheek and brought your face closer to his so he could look into your eyes.
“None of them deserve you. They never did.” He said very seriously.
“They don’t.” You agreed. “But I think you do.”
Your conversation was interrupted by the laughter of some boys nearby. You looked over and saw a mixture of some of Brads friends and other boys who you had never actually spoken to but still liked to throw insults at you whenever they got the chance. They were looking at you and Peter and laughed amongst themselves. Instead of getting upset, you turned to Peter and leaned in to kiss him to show them that you didn’t care anymore. Peter pulled back slightly before your lips could touch and you felt your heart sink.
“You don’t want to be seen with me?” You asked quietly.
“It’s not that. It’s not that at all.” Peter quickly assured you. “I just don’t want to make things any worse for you by being seen with me. If those boys see us, won’t they call you a slut?”
Your eyes flicked back to the guys, who were all still staring with amused faces. Being seen with a boy would definitely fuel their war towards you, but you couldn’t bring yourself to care anymore.
“They might.” You agreed. “But you know what? It might be worth it for once.”

(this turned out to be a bit angstier than I thought but still has a happy ending!)
I present to you, enemies to lovers with mr regulus black!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Infatuation
Regulus Black.
There was nobody else you despised more. Nobody else could make you snarl at his ridiculous wavy hair, his stupid ocean-blue eyes, his smarmy yet lucent grin. Nobody else made your skin crawl, your blood rush through your veins, your heartbeat rapidly increasing in its speed.
You hated him.
Truly despised him.
Yet with that hate came infatuation.
Whenever he walked into the room you were already in, with his chin pointed upwards whilst his lips curled into an arrogant grin, you gazed at him with such passionate hatred behind your eyes. And he was already staring at you with the exact same hatred.
You hated it when he sat across from you in the Great Hall, staring at you with blank, beady eyes whilst you conversed with a boy, a handsome boy, a boy who smiled at you and laughed at your jokes and glanced at you in a way that didn't show complete hatred. You lost focus when Regulus would glare at you, or perhaps you told yourself that to stop the suggestion that you simply grew bored of the boy entering your mind.
You did love some things about Regulus.
You loved the exhilaration he gave you when you did something you were not supposed to do to make him suffer (only mildly, of course, much to your dismay). You loved the competition, the rivalry present between you whenever you sat next to each other in Potions. Most of all, you loved the freedom he gave you to not be a perfect angel. With everyone else, you had to smile like a goddess, walk like a swan, talk like a princess. With him, all of that was forgotten. You were grateful, however, for the brief escape he unknowingly allowed you from being perfect all the time. It was tiring, draining you from inside your heart.
He knew how devilish you truly could be, and he relished in the hell you provided him.
You walked into the Potions class one afternoon, your last lesson of the day, and sat in your designated seat; at the very back of the classroom where nobody (bur Regulus) could bother you.
It seemed the boy was running late, and although you grinned in satisfaction on the outside, you felt your heartbeat decrease in its speed.
Slughorn had begun to talk, smiling in an annoyingly jovial way, when Regulus had rushed in with a sour look on his face, and your heartbeat drummed against your chest.
"Regulus, my boy! Better late than never." Slughorn joked, oblivious to the boy muttering under his breath, seemingly frustrated as he took his seat next to you.
You glanced over at him, watching as he threw his quill and his books out in anger.
Your grin grew bigger.
"Oh no, is the precious teacher's pet frustrated 'cause he was late?" You pouted in faux sympathy, bashing your eyelashes as he snarled.
"Shut up."
You laughed, seemingly finding humour in the boy's sour mood.
"Wow, did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, Reggie?"
He scoffed.
"I told you to stop calling me Reggie."
"Well, I didn't promise anything, did I?"
The boy dipped his quill in his pot of ink, writing notes in a messy scrawl, trying his hardest to ignore you, and your stupid grin, and your ridiculously beautiful hair, and your glossy lips that reflected the light of the candles.
"Hmm, are you ignoring me now?" You asked, subconsciously leaning closer, making the boy take a deep breath which you mistook as a sign of annoyance.
He continued to write, making you huff and roll your eyes.
"You're no fun today."
"Well excuse me for actually wanting to pay attention in this class for once."
You grinned, and Regulus instantly knew he said his words wrong.
"So you're saying that you pay attention to me in most of these lessons?"
"I'm saying that you bother me that much with your incessant rambling that I don't have time to do work." The boy spoke through gritted teeth, no longer writing but still staring down at his page.
"Just say you're in love with me at this point, Reggie." You grinned.
Regulus glanced up from his page, still not quite looking at you just yet, but rather focusing his gaze on your hand that touched his side of the desk.
"..And if I was?"
Finally, your grin had dropped, the curve of your lip faltering as you processed his words. Only 4 words he said, but it made your heart beat rapidly, your brain stop working, your lungs stop bringing in air.
The boy had looked up at you then, a slight smirk on his face, yet his eyes could not be read, could not be understood by your eyes which had memorised every one of his looks, his mechanisms, his patterns. This, this was unlike him. This was not the Regulus Black you'd grown to passionately despise.
"W-What?"
"I said," He leaned closer to you, staring at you intently.
"If I was in love with you, if I couldn't stop thinking about everything you do, if I have driven myself insane over the thought of you, what would you do?"
He found humour in the way your mouth was slightly agape, your eyes scanning his as you had appeared to stop breathing.
"I-I," You tried to say something, but your mouth had ran dry and your mind did not provide you with any help. It was as if you had forgotten how to speak.
He pouted slightly, tilting his head as he watched you struggle to find words.
"Nothing?" Regulus questioned, copying your faux sympathy you always had whenever the boy was in a sour mood just like before.
Still, you could not speak, could not utter the words your heart screamed in your chest as you continued to stare at him with a perplexed and shocked expression.
He turned back to his notes and grinned to himself, feeling pride in his success to make you silent.
It was only when Slughorn began to dismiss the class that you spoke up once again, yet with such a feeble and broken voice.
"I truly cannot stand you."
You then hurried out of the classroom, your bag knocking pots of ink down on the floor as you stormed away.
It wasn't the first time you had said that, in fact Regulus had lost count of how many times you told him you hated him, but this was different. There was true venom behind your words, true fury in your voice. Yet your voice still wobbled in an upset manner, your bottom lip slightly quivering as you hid your glassy eyes away from him.
And the boy was compelled to follow after you, calling out your name as he ignored the confused looks of other students.
Regulus Black, running after the girl who he despised, with such desperation?
The boy did not know by what he was compelled, he did not know the emotions that entered his heart like a virus, he did not know why his legs were picking up speed as you rushed away from him. All he did know was he had done something devastatingly wrong.
You walked into a desolate classroom and slammed the door, but you were too late in your efforts to keep him out, Regulus opening the door shortly after you closed it.
"Go away, Reggie." You murmured in a weak manner, the boy ignoring your request as he stepped closer to you, unsure what to do in this situation to calm you down. Because you didn't seem angry, no, you seemed distraught.
"What's wrong? What did I do?" He asked, approaching you as if you were a delicate, yet dangerous creature.
"Go away, Regulus!" You snapped, shocking both the boy and yourself as you yelled.
He saw the way tears dropped from your eyes, and he felt his heart shatter.
"N-No, I'm not leaving, I'm not leaving you." He drew closer to you, holding his arms out as if to hug you, but stopping in his movement like he didn't know how to, like he didn't know if he could.
"Please, just go away." You repeated your request again, your feeble, muttering voice returning. Yet your words contrasts your actions, as you held onto his arms for support.
"Tell me what I did that made you like this. Tell me." Regulus asked, desperation appearing in his eyes and in the way he spoke as he watched you weep.
"Y-You," Unable to get the words out, you took a deep breath, before crumbling down all over again.
"You don't joke about loving someone, Reggie! Not like that. Not when that someone actually loves you!"
In that moment, everything clicked into place for Regulus. That was why he chased after you. That was why he glared at whatever other boy you smiled at. That was why he was mean and cruel and bitter towards you. Because he loved you. And he didn't know how to show it. After all, how can someone show love it they have never been shown it themselves?
Your cries filled the silence in the room as he processed all his thoughts and his feelings. Though, there was not much to process, they were all of you.
"Y-You love me?"
You scoffed, stepping away from him as you harshly wiped away your tears as if you were disgusted at your own emotions.
"Yes, I do. I love you. And it's such a cruel fate." You snarked, yet you felt weaker.
Regulus walked towards you once more, but stopped in his tracks before he could get too close.
"I-I love you. I love you." He repeated it, sinking it in to your and his brain, and he smiled. A smile not of arrogance, or of mischief, but rather a smile of content, of peace, of belonging.
Your eyes widened slightly, but you snapped out of it, whatever spell his words placed on you, and you sniffed, looking down at the wood beneath you as you folded your arms.
"No you don't."
Regulus' eyebrows furrowed, and he chose to step closer to you finally, to breach that line that you both drawn since the first year in Hogwarts.
"I do. I-I realise now, that I've loved you ever since I met you. I just... I suppose I repressed it." He tucked your hair behind your ear, making you look up to see his soft smile.
"I've grown tired of pretending to hate you, when you're the person I love most in this world."
You glanced between his eyes, and saw a sign of love, recognising truth behind his words, and your brain memorised that as another mood of his, one that you would see always.
"Really?"
He nodded, cupping your face.
"Truly."
You smiled, and held the hands that was holding your face, and leaned in for a soft kiss, a kiss that Regulus did not know how to give, but he was a rather quick learner, always had been.
That day, you learned that the infatuation you had for the boy was not one born out of pure passionate hatred, but rather an overwhelming amount of love.

Tumblr media
the cold autumn wind blew as leaves start to dance outside your window. you smile, flipping through the photo book titled 'y/n and peter's adventures'. you realize that you share so many memories with peter, you two basically grew up next to each other.
"ooh! how about this one? do you remember that?" you point to the picture of you and peter on halloween night. you were posing with the biggest smile on your face and peter was doing the same.
"halloween, i remember." he nodded. "was that the halloween where you cried because one house ran out of kitkats?" you asked, laughing as your mind replays the memory. peter nods again.
you kept smiling as your mind continues to replay the memories you had together. you look across your room and spot your beat-up converses, which reminded you of when peter taught you how to do bunnyloops.
you turn and look at the band poster you had up, which reminded you of when peter introduced you to it. you quietly chuckled as you remember when aunt may told peter to quiet down one afternoon because she couldn't hear the oven go 'ding!' which led to her muffins being burnt.
you continue to flip through the pages, observing each photo.
"oh my god, look!" you gasp. it was a picture of 4 year-old you kissing 4 year-old peter on the cheek, he has the biggest smile, his cheeks were red, and you could hear aunt may and uncle ben's laugh behind it.
you squint to see the small writing - it reads 'valentine's day'.
"may said you look like you were head over heels for me in this." you could recall the exact moment.
peter nods, but you don't notice that.
what you do notice is that peter has been awfully quiet this entire time.
actually,
he's been awfully quiet this entire week. you try to remember anything he has said earlier today, but nothing pops up. did you even see him in school today?
you also realize that he hasn't tried to text or call you recently. i mean, he doesn't have to do any of that. but, maybe you were just expecting something from him, you know?
"you've been acting really off recently, peter." you say, breaking the awkward silence.
he hesitates. you can tell.
you wait for his response, but he doesn't seem like he's gonna reply. so you shrug it off and continue flipping through the photo book.
"i think it's because i'm in love with you."
whatever you were expecting from him. it was not that.
you pause. "don't. joke about that."
"what? did i almost get you?" he laughs. and suddenly he's back to being peter from last week.
"that's not funny!" you throw a pillow at him.
"aww, you're blushing." peter teases. "don't rub it in now." you reply, hiding your face in the photo book.
"you're the one who won't make eye contact with me." — "yeah. 'cause you're hard to look at. especially after whatever you just pulled there."
"did you just call me ugly?"
"wow. now you're putting words in my mouth. you're manipulative too, why would i want to look at you?"
"just say you like looking at me. don't be so stubborn." he continues to tease you.
but you have to admit, he does have the prettiest eyes you have ever seen.
"how can you just say these things so easily?" you question, looking up from the photobook.
"what if i can say it because it's true?".
you blink.
"i feel so bad for gwen and harry. they must have a hard time dealing with you."
harry and gwen have been peter's closest friends since middle school, and peter's only other friends.
"you're the only one i'm like this with."
"so what? you're really in love with me?" you can't tell if this is some sick joke peter's doing, or if he's actually serious.
"absolutely. head. over. heels."
"so, you wouldn't mind if i do this?" you held his hand. "what? hold my hand? you already do that in the hallways so you wouldn't get lost."
you nod, "but you're blushing."
peter face was blank. his cheeks grew red.
"you there? you talk so confidently for someone who can't do the same things you tease me with."
"... you're. terrible."
"you were actually being serious?"
"terribly serious, ladybug."
"ladybug?"
"you'll get it."

Hero, Villain God 30
(Prev) (Next) (First)
*Grian's pov*
Well, you are not handled to deal with this, you are the god of chaos not the god of talking about your feelings... you could just ignore it and wait for Hotguy to get himself together on his own...on the other hand you don't really want to do that because it doesn't take much to know It won't work and you don't want to risk him getting worse. You even brought chocolate for him, you hear it makes mortals feel happy.
As you walk towards Hotguy's...room? You aren't sure actually, does he just live in the Hero association tower? That's...weird right?...Doesn't matter, as you make your way towards the door you see a scientist looking man knocking on the door.
The man turns, oh that's Scar's manager, you saw him on your inuguration.
"Cub Fan, right?"
"And you must be Cuteguy?"
"Just call me Grian"
"Grian it is them, call me Cub then"
...
"So, why are you here Cub?"
"Checking in on Hotguy since he's not going to take what happened lightly... You?"
"Same... brought chocolate."
"Looks like we had the same idea."
"We should go together then"
You suggest that mostlu because you are pretty sure those two are close so going in together might make this whole thing more likely to succeed.
"If Scar opens the door then...sure."
Right, the door to Scar's room is still locked. You knock on the door too... all that follows is more silence. Then some shuffling, then more, a crash of something smashing on the ground and then it finally opens... Scar's face emerges from the room.
"Uh... Grian? Cub? What are you two doing here?"
You answer before Cub gets the chance to...or tries to, he just lets you speak.
"Checking in on you, I know you wanted the inauguration thing to go well and... We even brought sweets."
"Oh! Well, there's no need for thar. I'm doing well! Great even"
You look inside, you look at the messy room and the darkbags under his eyes.
"Huh uh, are you sure?"
"Yep! Doing amazing! Bye!"
Cub puts his foot between the door and the frame stopping Scar from closing it completely.
"Scar, I've known you for years. You can't lie to me."
You add in your own comment.
"We have known eachother for a few days and even I can tell that was a lie."
Scar is silent for a few seconds and then kinda deflates into himself...like a baloon or one of those long colorful things that point at shops.
"... You're right, I'm not doing amazing...or great."
Oh wow, what a shocking revelation! Points for it taking so little for him to actually crack though.
"I just don't understand how it could have happened. I thought I made sure everything was perfect."
Well, except for knowing you were a god and were going to sabotage it using your son to help you, a rookie mistake really.
"I'm sorry Grian, I'm making this about myself but that was your inauguration and I'm moping... I can't even imagine how you feel."
Pretty good actually, you really want to say that but you do have a persona to keep up...uhmmm maybe...
"Well, I actually think it went well"
Cub and Scar both look at you in confusion, you can't blame them...it does sound crazy when said out loud doesn't it? Oh well.
"What? I just think that we showed everyone that I can hold my ground as a sidekick. That's going to do much more for public opinion then a speech."
Scar just blinks while Cub looks pensive.
"He's not exactly... wrong, the association managed to spin the Ocean Queen and Sheriff incident into good publicity I'm sure they are going to do the same for this."
Scar still looks dejected, why does he have to look so miserable? You are starting to feel bad about it, It's weird.
"...still feels like a failure."
Oh, so It's a self worth thing... You aren't good with that kind of stuff either, you are arguably even worse. Pearl would probably know what to say to him- wait, you have an idea.
"You know, you should probably go outside and take a breather, touch grass, feel the sun and all that...say, my ...sister and I are going out later. You could come along as Scar, I can introduce you as a new friend."
"I ... don't know..."
Cub, your saviour, is actually the one who encourages Scar to accept...he whispers something in Scar's ear and he brightens up a bit.
" Alright, I'll come."
"And Cub? Do you want to come with as well?"
"I can't. I have important work to do...but Scar can tell me how it goes when you come back"
That's a lie, very clearly, you don't point it out though. After all, you are a liar too, of much bigger proportions as well.
"Alright, well, I'll ask my sister then."
Dumbass: Pearl? Pearl: What do you want mate? Dumbass: are you doing anything later? Pearl: ... Pearl: Why? Dumbass: just answer Pearl: Yeah, I'm going to the mall with Scott and Cleo. Dumbass: I'm joining. Pearl: You can't just. Pearl: Join in without being invited. Dumbass: invite me? Pearl: Why do you even want to come with us? Dumbass: I told a friend I'm hanging out with you later. Dumbass: And invited him to come along. Pearl: ... Fine. Pearl: But you owe me one more explanation.
"...so?"
"She said you can come!"

Read the camera series, and I had an idea 👀 what about a story where the reader is obsessed with Leon FIRST? Like, she watches him all the time and notices he kind of has an obsessive streak, and she likes him and decides that she wants him obsessed with HER. So she kinda leaves a trail of breadcrumbs to make him start liking her. She's sweet to him, does things for him, and makes notes of his preferences so she can match them perfectly. When he starts stalking her, she's all like "🥰 yay! Bf!"
thank you for your patience with this one <3
Perfect Subject
~Leon Kennedy x gender neutral! Reader~
Word count: 1931
Content warnings: shooting guns in a gun range, obsession, reader is a government agent, stalking, leon goes through your stuff and into your place without permission
!!!!!!MINORS DNI! GHOSTKENNNEDY IS STRICTLY 18+!!!!!
Leon Kennedy could never just casually enjoy things. You would never find him just appreciating a thing for what it was and then moving on with his life. Oh no. If he thought a song was good, he would replay the melody over and over again until he didn’t like it anymore. If he liked a movie, instead of him thinking, “wow that was a good movie,” and then watching another, he would replay that movie until he knew every little detail about it.
This included his work as well. Anything he did, it had to be done perfectly. He crossed all his T’s and dotted all his I’s. When you were first hired on as a government agent, he was assigned to overlook your training. There were specific agents assigned to training fresh recruits, so he wasn’t training you directly, but he would always cut in if he felt your trainer was going too easy on you or wasn’t teaching you properly.
One day, you were practicing in the gun range and couldn’t seem to improve your accuracy no matter how much instruction your superior gave you. You huffed and threw your head back in frustration when you failed to hit the designated mark again. You were desperate to succeed and be good at your job. You couldn’t focus on anything else in your life. Everything you did, you had to do it well, otherwise it would eat you up inside.
That’s when you felt a strong form firmly press himself into your back, his arms wrapping around yours and guiding your hands to aim the gun properly. He used his heavy boots to kick your feet out into a better, more grounding stance. He slowly adjusts your shoulders and elbows and forces you to tighten your grip on the weapon. He stepped back from you and you felt stronger and more confident in this new position.
You fired the shot and hit the mark exactly in the center. You shook your shoulders, relieving some tension in your neck before getting back into the same position. You fired a second shot and hit the mark again. You spun around with a smile on your face ready to thank your trainer when you were met with pretty blue eyes and a blond fringe.
You stammered over your words, “Oh, um, hey Agent Kennedy! I didn’t know you were here.” You shifted your gaze up to meet his eyes, “Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.”
“It’s my job. Thought that would work for your height and stature,” he said simply before walking out of the room. Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion at the sudden emptiness of the room once his overwhelming presence was gone.
And from that point on, you had become obsessed with the man. You wanted to know everything there was to know about Leon Kennedy. Once you discovered he had an obsessive streak that matched yours so well, you knew you had to have him. His face had those soft features, but still had a prominent sense of rugged manliness to it. The messy look of his hair, which you could see the effort put into it to give it that carefree look while still being just the right amount of tidy.
Don’t even start on the muscles protruding from his body. It’s like he had been sculpted from angels themselves. You could see the outline of every ab through his tight shirts and the way his arms bulged against the fabric of his sleeves. His aura demanded attention and he always commanded whatever room he was in, he didn’t even have to try. You noticed the way everyone else stared at him with admiration as well. You had no right to be jealous, but you were hooked and anything standing in your way would have to be eliminated.
You’d spent a lot of time trying to overhear gossip about the man’s love life, but he was so private that there wasn’t much actual information to go off of. Everything was pure speculation at this point. But what you did know was how many people had struck out with him. He wasn’t easily impressed by the flirtatious gestures, shyness or boldness. He was a case that no one had been able to crack, but you loved a good challenge.
While the other rookies threw themselves at Leon, you had to feign indifference. He genuinely cared about his job and the “greater good.” So you became the best agent you possibly could, rising through the ranks and becoming the perfect success story. You remained as elusive as possible with all of your coworkers. If Leon wanted to know anything about you, he’d have to do the research himself or ask you directly.
You were so relieved when your plan actually started to work. You could feel his stare on you when you weren’t paying attention to him. You never attempted to make small talk either. You discussed your work and would always thank him for any instruction or help he gave you, but that was it.
A significant moment you remembered was at a mandatory reward dinner. Every single employee was expected to attend, no exceptions. Of course, you had made sure to be sat at the same table as Leon while putting on the front of not caring about the arrangements. You had both remained relatively silent during the conversations about everything and nothing at the same time going on amongst the group at your table. You’d speak and engage when called for, but avoided the small talk and gossiping as usual.
“What about you? No hot date either? What’s up with that?” one of your coworkers nudged your shoulder. You snickered as you took another sip of your wine.
“Quite a few of us at this table don’t have dates either. Maybe we should go around and share all about our personal love lives. John, Sarah, Patrick, Leon? Anybody want to share some misfortunes?” you said nonchalantly and were met with mostly silence, except for Leon who was grinning and trying not to laugh. “Oh wow, the elusive mysteries continue,” you cooed at John who was giving you a dirty look.
“Sorry, I forget you’d rather die than engage in a friendly conversation,” he spoke and huffed out a breath.
“It’d be wise of you to never forget it again, huh?” you nudged him like he had done to you earlier. He rolled his eyes before a laugh slipped from him.
The following Monday, about an hour before it was time to head home, John pulled you to the side to talk to you.
“Hey, you’re not going to believe this,” he said excitedly.
“Oh?” you raised your eyebrow skeptically.
He nodded his head eagerly, “Yeah! Leon fucking Kennedy was asking me about you. He wanted to know what I knew about you.” You had to hide your excitement as you continued to stare at John. “I should totally set the two of you up,” he laughed as he grabbed onto your shoulders and shook excitedly.
You laughed at him, “Wow, agent turned matchmaker? I’m super impressed.” You pulled yourself from his grasp and went to turn and walk around the corner, escaping from the little space John had pulled you into.
You yelped when you ran into a solid object, or solid person rather. Your eyes looked up and came into contact with Leon’s. John came out after you and his eyes widened as he realized Leon was within earshot of the conversation.
John stuttered, “H-hey, buddy. What’s up?” His nervous laughter had you fighting back a smile.
“Buddy?” Leon asked as his arms crossed over his chest. John continued to fumble over his words. Somewhere in the word vomit, there had been an apology. You slipped out while they were both distracted and didn’t stick around to see how their conversation would play out.
After that encounter, you and Leon had built a bit of a friendship. You two were always joking around and helping each other’s workload as much as you possibly could. You took advantage of every conversation you two had and utilized all the information and observations you had of him. You’d bring him coffee when he started giving his sleepy cues. You knew his favorite places to get lunch and would conveniently eat at them regularly, always ordering too much and giving him the leftovers. He never had to run his own errands around the office, because you always offered to do them for him. You never ran yours either, he always jumped up and did your little tasks as well.
You noticed him also adjusting himself around your preferences as well. He slowly switched coffee shops to the one you preferred, attempting to keep you from noticing. But of course you noticed everything. You stopped being assigned the work you’d always complain about and tell him how you dreaded doing those meticulous little tasks. He’d drop little references from shows you’d told him you liked occasionally. Always feeding you information on top secret topics you’d shown interest in.
You were so giddy when you noticed he had upped his game when it came to you. You started to notice things on your desk not being where you had left them. Logging onto your computer and the tab you’d left open not being up on the screen like you had left it. Your heart swooned when you noticed things in your apartment disappearing or being moved without your knowledge. You even noticed him tailing you on your errands, him in his unmarked car staying a reasonable distance as you went to the grocery store or to pay bills.
You noticed the unmarked car in your apartment complex’s parking lot early one morning. So, of course you went outside and lounged on the balcony in your short shorts and tank top that barely covered your chest. Biting your lip, seemingly lost in thought as you drank coffee and scrolled on your phone.
He started placing himself in your path as well. One Saturday, he coincidentally ran into you at the supermarket and you walked around shopping together. He’d jog past your place, waiting for the day you’d be outside and he could recognize you. You let this go on for a few weeks, before finally deciding to get your mail from the office at the exact time he always jogged past. After talking to him for a few minutes, you invited him for some water and a snack. You spent the morning together, before he finally left to continue his run.
So far, it’d been a few months of this back and forth. Running into each other, sharing lunches and coffee, spending more time working together, and you both suddenly were showing up to all work events. Neither of you ever rejected the offer to go out for drinks when invited by coworkers. You always stayed near one another, no matter the outing. You longed for the day something would finally happen between you two. You knew he was basically stalking you at this point and you made sure to make this job as easy as possible on him.
The longer the chase, the better the end result right? As long as you kept Leon right where you wanted him, you could keep this up forever. You imagined all of the ways he would finally make his move, finally bridge the gap between you two and mold you together where you belonged. Until then, you’d be his perfect and oblivious subject.

could you do frost bite: harry potter with prompt 44? ❤️
Thank you so much for requesting, hon! <33
And also why is this like my third drabble with this prompt ( •᷄ᴗ•́)
ivy's 1k celebration ❄️ navigation ❄️ prompt list
ˋ°•*⁀➷ HARRY POTTER #44: "Tell me three reasons why I should put up with you." "Well, for starters, I'm cute."
Tumblr media
“You know, you’re lucky I haven’t hexed you by now.” You leaned against the common room couch, arms crossed, watching as Harry flashed his signature, ever-so-confident grin.
“Tell me three reasons why I should put up with you,” you challenged, raising an eyebrow.
He didn’t hesitate. “Well, for starters, I’m cute.” He flashed that practiced, too-charming grin, clearly expecting this to be the winning card.
You snorted. “Hmm, that’s a matter of opinion, don’t you think?”
Ron and Hermione, sitting nearby, immediately perked up, grins stretching across their faces. Harry looked a bit thrown but quickly bounced back. “Come on, you can’t deny it!” he said, dramatically brushing his hair back, that messy, hopelessly untamable mop he called a hairstyle.
“See, that right there—” you pointed at him. “That’s reason not to put up with you. The hair-flipping needs to stop, Potter. You’re not a shampoo commercial.”
Ron burst into laughter, almost spilling his pumpkin juice. “Yeah, mate, even I don’t do that,” he managed between chuckles.
“Fine,” Harry huffed, undeterred, raising his chin slightly as he attempted to look suave. “How about the fact that I’m incredibly brave?”
You tilted your head, pretending to consider it. “Uh-huh. Is that what you call it when you tried to dodge detention by hiding under a desk last week? So brave, hiding in plain sight.” You rolled your eyes, and Hermione outright laughed this time.
“Okay, okay!” Harry raised his hands in surrender, cheeks now a bit pink. “Third reason—I’m a wizard.” He looked at you expectantly, as though he’d finally delivered the winning answer.
“Oh, wow,” you said, putting on an exaggerated face of surprise. “A wizard at Hogwarts? You’re really one-of-a-kind, Harry.” You glanced over at Ron and Hermione, who were practically howling with laughter at this point.
Harry’s shoulders slumped, but he couldn’t help laughing along with the rest of you. “Alright, maybe I need a fourth reason…”
“How about, I put up with you because I feel sorry for you?” you teased, giving him a playful nudge.
Harry’s grin widened. “I’ll take it.”

Helping Hand?
Buggy + GNReader
Fluffy Corny kinda Platonic
Just random shit I thought of
Tumblr media
Support me on Ko-Fi ☕️
"Shit Shit Shit-" Your grumble as you frantically look around for something to tie your hair back with- You had finally gotten time to wash it out after the past few horrible days out at sea. Usually you had just come to shoving your hair into a hat and calling it a day- However your hair had gotten so tangled and messy it didn't fit into the hat at all so you figured today you would attempt to do it but ran out of time, patients and materials. Now just needing to find something to cover it with-
You wished you knew someone who did hair- Standing there you flexed your thinking power and a image comes to mind- Didn't Captian Buggy to the hair of that contortionist girl?
Captian Buggy!
Grabbing a towel to cover your mess of hair you rush quickly our of your shared quarters and down the maze of halls to the Captian's- Hesitating for a moment before you knock on the door to his room, Standing there awkwardly as they slammed open and he glared down at you.
"What do you want?" He all but hissed, clearly not pleased at having such a low member of his crew bother him.
"U-Um Captian do you.. Um" you stumbled over your words and messed with your food nervously.
"Spit it out!" He yelled making you jump-
"Do you have any hair stuff?... I lost my hat and don't know how to cover my hair or put it up for work-" You admit and pull the towel from your hair ashamed. Buggy's eyes widening for a second as he stared at the mess on your head.
He sighed annoyed, you thinking you have a Muggy Ball coming your way but instead he opens his doors to you and snaps at you to come inside.
Quickly scrambling inside you see him grabbing some tools from the massive vanity in the corner of the room. Grumbling under his breath as he did so-
"Sit there-" He snaps pointing to a lone chair which you are quick to park your ass in. With a armful of items he comes back to you quickly and looks over the damage.
"For fucks sake-"
You feel his detached hands part your hair with ease using a skilled comb before setting the moisturize your hair and begin to detangle it- about were amazed since what usually took you quite some time and arm discomfort he had done in 5 minutes tops.
"Wow youre really good at this-" You say as you feel him parting the hair expertly and beginning to braid
"How did you get so good?"
"Have to do my own damn hair everyday" He chimed casually- You remembering seeing his hair down once when a storm set it and he came out to steer in his pajamas.
"Thats right It's long- Why do you keep it long Captian?"
"You talk a lot" Buggy sighed, clearly not uses to being the one having his ear talked off and used to doing the talking-
"Sorry- I tend to babble..Especially when nervous-" You say softly, feeling embarrassed about talking so much. Buggy was silent for a second as he continued to braid-
"..It's cause of my Chop Chop abilities- I can't cut my hair it just reattaches itself so I have learned to just take care of it" He admitted calmly, this making you smile as you turn to look at him.
"That's cool! Could you use your hair in a fight!?"
"DONT MOVE! Or ill have to start over!" He snapped before flicking his wrist and the comb snaps on your scalp as punishment-
"Owie-!" You pout as you sit still as the Captian grumbles, starting that part of the braid over again as he finished his task.
"And no- It's too hard to use my hair as a Chop Chop man- gets tangled too easily" He said calmly, finishing the last braid he smoothed it with another few taps of condioner and stepped back.
"There- Go look" He said dismissively walking away from you so you could go look. There you look it the mirror and see two cute Dutch braids going down the side of your head. A bright smile on your lips as you admire your Captians work.
"Wow! You're really good at this Cap!" You say cheerfully as you look back at the Captian who was putting on fresh gloves.
"I know- Now Here, till you find your hat" He said as his hand floated to you holding a old red beanie with a tuff of fluff on the top- You smiling Brightly, him expecting the typical thanks which he was prepared to wave off.
"Yeah Yeah don't get used to it- OOF!" He stumbles when you hug him suddently- His face turning as red at his nose with the random physical affection.
"Thank you Captian! Gotta run!" You say cheerfully already knowing youre going to hear a earful from your peers about being late to your post, quickly slipping on the red beanie and running away while Buggy stood there shocked and unsure of what the hell just happened-

MEETING THE MESSI FAMILY (JOE BURROW x MESSI! READER)
Tumblr media
The Vogue World show ended and Luisa Messi breathed a sigh of relief, she couldn't take it anymore, as she faced a crazy marathon in the last few weeks of traveling for work, from London to Japan, passing through Greece, Morocco, New York and now ending in Paris. She loved her work and was very grateful for all the opportunities she had, but the modeling profession is like any other, and she always thinks it's wrong when people romanticize the profession, as if there was only the glamorous and luxurious side. She went to the dressing room she shared with her best friends Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid to change, Kendall and Gigi asked if she and her boyfriend would join their group of friends for the fashion show's afterparty, she confirmed their presence and if she said goodbye to her friends and went to meet her boyfriend.
Paris fashion week was very special for Luisa, especially because her boyfriend would be showing for the first time, and he is not someone unknown to the sport. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback began to show a side of himself that was previously unknown to his fans, as from that year onwards, he was willing to leave his comfort zone and experience new experiences, and this change would not have been possible if Luisa wasn't by his side encouraging him and rooting for him.
Luisa went to Joe's dressing room, and as soon as she saw him, she ran and jumped on him.
  - You were incredible, mi amor, incredible - Luisa says, leaving lots of kisses on Joe's face, who laughs at his girlfriend's excitement
 - I wouldn't have done it without you supporting me, mi princesa,te amo mucho - he ventures, speaking very slurred Spanish, kissing Luisa's neck.
-Joe, we're not at home, let's go to dinner soon, they're already waiting for us. Have Justin and the rest of the guys left?
-Yes, they're already gone, we're just missing, the security guards are already waiting for us at the exit through the restricted area
 - So let's go quickly, before they see us.
TWO WEEKS LATER
Luisa was at Joe's house to prepare a real Argentine feast, the quarterback was going to see what real food was, but the model had one more surprise for him.
-This is the chorizo fillet- Luisa points happily to the juicy steak
- Wow, this looks great - he says cutting and trying the first bite - Hmmmmm, baby this is incredible, you need to take me to Argentina, I've never tasted anything so delicious - Joe says
- Baby, since we're eating Argentine food, we're in that Argentine vibe, I need to tell you something
- Speak my love, what happened?
-Are you going to do something next Saturday?- she asks, at the same time as she bites into a large piece of steak.
- No - he thinks a little
- So, let's meet the Messi family- She smiles
Joe dropped his fork, put his hand on his mouth and another on his chest.
-For God's sake, anything but that- he begs
- There's no need to be like that, they'll be nice - she tries to help
- Punches me in the face, kicks me, break me, calls me an idiot, but doesn't make me go there - he puts on his best pity face
- Don't even come Joe, we're going to see them - she stamps her foot
And that's when Joe realized he was in trouble.
The days passed in a hurry and Joe doesn't know how to put into words how disturbed his state of mind is.
Packing the bags was almost a sacrifice, with each piece of clothing being picked up with a different complaint, he loves her very much, but he's sure that this next step doesn't have to be postponed, but rather, removed from the new couple's to-do guide.
Luisa and Joe have been together for almost a year, and as two public figures, they have so far successfully kept their relationship secret. The quarterback started talking to the Argentinean on Instagram shortly after ending a long-term relationship. The relationship over time fell into a routine and Joe was only with his ex for comfort and convenience, but he had been unhappy for a long time and was cheating on his ex frequently, until he got tired of this unhappiness and ended the relationship.
In their first face-to-face date, in a restaurant in New York, Joe was very sincere and confessed to Luisa about his history of betrayals, but assured her that he was going to be a new man, a good man for her, as he was already completely in love. by the beautiful Argentinean who was born in Spain. Luisa was suspicious, but as she was also already very enchanted by the blue-eyed blonde, she decided to give him a chance. The first-born Messi had also recently ended her relationship with Barcelona player Pedri González, as their busy schedules meant they saw very little of each other, but they both remain friends.
The big issue is that after a year, Joe had still not met Lionel Messi and Antonella Roccuzzo, Luisa's parents, due to a great fear of the quarterback facing in person the best football player in the world who was now his father-in-law. On every occasion that Luisa tried to organize for them to meet, Joe would make up an excuse or take advantage of his commitments with the Bengals team to not meet Leo. Luisa was always understanding of the situation, but her father was not. For a person who has always shown calm and tranquility, Messi appeared impatient with Burrow, sending him an unkind message via Instagram direct.
“Of course boludo,
It's really good if you run away, because know that when I see you, I'll have to be prepared for when we're all in one place.
I'm not kidding, especially when it comes to my eldest daughter's feelings and integrity, I've never spared any effort to protect my little girl and it won't be with an American playboy who plays a supposed sport called “football” that I'm going to change my principles. ”
Joe blinked in disbelief, did he really read that? If he questioned.
-Don't notice, dad is as dramatic as a classic Argentine soap opera, it's that Latin American cliché, he didn't even let me see what he wrote in that message- Luisa smiles.
Joe frowned, reading the message again and asking if it was a joke.
Arriving at the airport, he had nowhere to run.
   - My dad will love meeting you - he hears her talking, all smiling
   - Not as much as my brothers, they are so adorable, since they moved to the USA, they say they want to play basketball, dad goes crazy - she comments laughing
- Dad is so scary when he's on the field, when I started dating Pedri, he threatened to break his legs if he betrayed me, you had to see the poor guy's scared face - Luisa tells the story, laughing a lot
Joe at that moment wonders if she loves him or hates him. The mood became lighter when they disembarked and took a taxi to head to the Messi family mansion in Miami.
During the journey, they come across a large poster of Messi in an Inter Miami advertisement.
- What is it like being the daughter of Lionel fucking Messi?
- People always ask me this, for me it's normal, dad is like any other father who loves, cares, is demanding and strict when necessary. He always does everything for me and my brothers and the main lesson he makes a point of always talking about is simplicity and humility, this is certainly the most valuable inheritance he will leave us - she says with her eyes shining
Joe looks at her with admiration in his eyes
- You know that I love you, you know?
- I did know - Luisa takes his hand and kisses it with love
-So now with this information how about we leave, I hate feeling arrogant and getting into a losing situation, I can't do that, how about I don't know if we meet your parents in a place and then run away from them, I don't like stay in the environment where they hate me-
Luisa sighed at the request, not knowing what to do, she didn't want Joe to feel obligated to do anything, but it was already going on too long.
-I understand what you're feeling, but I haven't even had a week to meet your parents, they thought it was important, so mine think it's important too-
-Honey, just pretend that we live in a world like we used to, where women came to men's families and only it matters- He gives a nervous smile.
- -Of course I understand, so in this case you haven't yet gone to ask permission from my father and my brothers, because in the world as in the past, men asked permission from other men, you can take advantage today to do that- Joe quickly refused to do that.
- -Relax, darling, it will only be a few days at their house and...- He cuts her off quickly.
- Days at their house? What do you mean by that, have you ever heard of a hotel? Luisa we need our privacy, I need my privacy, there's the jet leg and everything, look I'm American, I don't want to seem like an idiot, rich, spoiled to your family the first time and they don't need to know about my quirks or habits right now- Joe starts gesturing and getting restless in the car trying to explain himself.
- Hotels around here at this time of year are difficult, because of the beaches, but look on the bright side-                                       -What good side?- Joe claps his hands on his thighs indignantly.
- We're here now- She pointed to the side, turned off the car and removed her seat belt, while Joe next to him practically passed out.
- My God, the driver always speaks first - he massages his own chest
Luisa and Joe identified themselves at the entrance of the huge mansion complex, and then headed to the Messi house. Burrow was mentally praying that nothing would get out of control and that he would make it out of these days with his Argentine family alive.
Luisa presses the doorbell and her mother Antonella opens the door smiling. -Hija, como te extrañé - the older woman hugs her daughter
- Mommy, the countdown is already counting down to see you, where are daddy and the boys?
- Your father has already started preparations for the barbecue, and the boys are playing ball - Antonella responds, and then looks at Joe - we have a special visit from our daughter
- I almost forgot to introduce you, mom this is Joe Burrow, my boyfriend, Joe this is Antonella Roccuzzo, my mother
- Nice to meet you Mrs. Roccuzzo - he raises his hand to greet Antonella, but she is quicker and pulls him into a hug
- Without these formalities my dear, you can just call me Anto, I'm finally meeting the boy who is messing with my daughter's heart
- I'm completely in love with her Mrs…Anto, she also touches my heart - Joe kisses Luisa's cheek, who is embarrassed
- Let's go to the backyard guys, Joe, you'll get along great with Leo and the boys. You have brothers ?
- Yes, I have two older brothers, and I have four nephews
- That's cool, so you seem to be really good with kids
- Yes, I am, I really like their sincerity
They walked through the huge mansion until they reached the leisure area, where Messi was cutting and placing meat to roast on the barbecue and Thiago, Matteo and Ciro, Luisa's younger brothers, were excitedly playing football around the place, while reggaeton served as a ambient sound of the place.
- Honey, they've arrived! Children, look at your sister here - Antonella screams, the boys run towards Luisa to hug her
  - Lisaaaaaaa
   - My boys, how I missed you - Luisa hugs her brothers tightly, until they pull away and look at Joe, his height scared them
   - Who is he? - Thiago asks
    - This is Joe boys, he is my boyfriend, Joe these three little men are my younger brothers, Thiago, Matteo and Ciro
   - Nice to meet you boys, I'm Joe - he shakes hands with the three children, who return the greeting shyly
- Joe brought a present for you boys, give it to them - Luisa says to the quarterback
Joe opens the relatively large bag, and gives his brothers-in-law three autographed Cincinnati Bengals jerseys personalized with their respective names, as well as three small ball footballs
NFL.
  - These are the shirts of my football team, friends, and this is the American football ball
  - That's not football, real football is what dad plays - Thiago says
- What an ugly and strange ball - Matteo doesn't miss the opportunity to criticize
- Boys, don't be rude, he does play football, but the football he plays is different - Antonella explains
- That's not a ball, they're a circle, they're round - Ciro says seeing the NFL ball
- You use the wrong ball, this is the football ball - Thiago points to the round ball
- If you play football, why don't you play with Pulisic on the US national team? -Matteo asks Joe, who is scared by the ability of three small children to scare him
- Boys, I play American football, it's different from round ball football, the rules are different, the names of the positions are different, it's totally different
- Are you a striker? - Ciro asks
- No, I play quarterback
- What's that?
-The quarterback is the main player of a team in American football, he is responsible for throwing the ball, I am responsible for the team's attack.
- So you're a striker like dad? - Matteo asks
- In a way yes, although the rules are different
Leo was quiet, carefully watching Joe's interaction with his younger children, the Argentine didn't take his eyes off his son-in-law, and he could see from his gaze how much he was controlling himself so as not to appear nervous in front of him.
   - Boys, leave the boy alone. Nice to meet you Joe, I'm Lionel Messi, Luisa's father - the Argentinian squeezes Joe's hand tightly, who disguised his nervousness
- Nice to meet you Mr Messi, I'm Joe Burrow
- Please boy, just call me Leo, I'm only 37 years old, I'm not that old
Joe lets out a nervous laugh.
- Boys, you'll have time to ask Joe lots of questions, now go to the living room and play video games while the barbecue isn't ready yet, Joe, would you like to help me prepare the barbecue? After all, you are now part of an Argentine family, you have to know what real food is-The older man didn't fail to notice that Joe looked nervously at Luisa, who encouraged him to accept
  - Yes sir, I mean Leo, it will be a pleasure
- That's great, love, so Luisa will come and help me prepare dessert, let's go, daughter - Antonella says, pulling Luisa by the hands ,then Leo guides Joe with basic instructions on how to use the equipment to prepare the meat, until the older man starts talking.
- You know Joe, I became Luisa's father when I was 17 years old, it was very complicated at the time, as I had just debuted as a professional player at Barcelona, my career has always been very demanding and I was often not at home to follow the full growth of her, but one thing I always promised and I feel like I fulfilled my role as a father very well: I never let anyone hurt my daughter's heart, I always supported her in everything she wanted to do and I always taught her to always remain humble . Do anything with me, but if you mess with my family, you will find a lot of problems. I'm very calm, but harm someone in my family and I'll harm you - Messi clenches his fists and hits the table, making Joe open his eyes wide and mentally pray that Luisa appears and gets him out of there.
- Joe, I'm not an idiot. When Luisa told me she was meeting you, I made a point of doing in-depth research about you, and to no surprise, I found news about you having cheated on your ex-girlfriend several times.
- Leo, I can explain…
- Joe, I own the word here. What you did or didn't do with your ex-girlfriends, whether you cheated or didn't cheat, which other women you've had sex with, I don't care, what really interests me is Luisa's happiness. In these years of my career, I have seen many colleagues destroy their families due to momentary promiscuity, I have seen and still see a lot of rotten things in the world of football, many colleagues have sunk their personal and professional lives due to wrong choices, and my biggest fear My daughter would one day suffer at the hands of men like these. I had everything I needed to follow a similar path, but that wasn't how my family raised me, my mother always taught me to respect people and especially women. I knew since we were children that Antonella was my soulmate and the love of my life, and our destinies were already predestined, I never needed to have those temptations that the sports environment has.
When Luisa talks about you, she speaks with the same eyes shining with love as I do when talking about Antonella. So Joe, I am giving my most precious jewel into your hands, so I ask that you take good care of her and treat her as she should be treated, Luisa is a princess, she is a goddess, she is one of the people with the most soulful Sweetest man in the world, if I find out about any of the shit you've done to my daughter, your career will be terminated prematurely, do we understand? - At that moment, Messi angrily cuts a steak with a large knife, looking directly into Joe's eyes with a frightening look, at that moment the quarterback is petrified.
- Yes, Leo, I will never hurt Luisa, I am very much in love with her and I am capable of giving my life for her, she is the first woman I have truly fallen in love with, you can rest assured that she is safe with me - Joe speaks with a firm voice, but still afraid of Messi's threats
      - That's exactly what I like to hear, kid. And since you're joining our family, there are three fundamental rules you need to follow
  - Of course Leo, what are the rules?
-First rule: the main one is to treat Luisa like a goddess and not do anything that breaks her heart
- Second rule: you are in a family of Argentineans, so try to intensify your studies in Spanish, your Spanish is horrible, I always had difficulties learning English and since I came to Miami, I have studied a lot to be able to speak English, so I hope you do the same, as you need to be part of our culture
- Third and final rule, but not the least important: in my house, I don't want that talk of “soccer”, or any similar shit, are we understood?
- Yes Leo, but…
- There are no buts, it's football and that's the end of the matter. Your sport is not football, it has nothing to do with real football. American football is nothing more than a poorly made copy of rugby
-Leo... - Joe tries to speak
- And you still have the courage to call yourselves world champions when you win that shitty Super Bowl? Wow, how can you be a world champion if only teams from the same country compete in the league?
-Leo... - Joe tries to speak again successless
- I AM A LEGITIMATE WORLD CHAMPION!!! I played in a World Cup with 32 teams from each country and won all my games, in that wonderful game against France, you watched it, right?
- Of course Leo, the whole world was watching that game, I was even supporting Argentina
- You know very well that even if you win the Super Bowl or some shit like that, it doesn't come close to winning the World Cup or the Champions League, right?
- But…
- I wasted precious time of my life watching the super bowl, what a lack of organization when handing out the trophy, without any elegance, FIFA is corrupt as hell Joe, but at least they know how to organize a decent awards ceremony, LEARN THE FUCK
- Leo, it's not me who's part of the organization, it's the NFL
- That's why your sport is not worthy of being called football, that's it, subject closed, are we understood?
Joe nodded without being able to breathe, he was definitely afraid of Messi. If his friend Ja'marr were here, he would laugh until 2084 when he saw your scared face. The difference in height between Messi and Burrow is funny, but we can see that height doesn't mean anything, as the giant Joe is scared shitless of Messi. Finally the barbecue is ready and the family gets together for lunch.
Luisa asks Joe softly
- What was it like helping dad?
- It was great, honey, it was really good - Joe says, forcing a smile
- He didn't say anything much to you, right? - she asks worriedly
- No, my love, that's it, we just had men's conversations - Joe says, forcing a smile
- If he says anything to you, don't hesitate to let me know, okay?
-Of course my love- he gives her a peck
And so was the beginning of Joe Burrow's adventure as a new member of the Messi clan. As time went by, Messi accepted Joe, and saw that he was wrong in his previous judgment about his character. Luisa and Joe lived a fairytale relationship, the Argentinean was proposed shortly after the Bengals' victory in the Super Bowl in 2025, the wedding took place in February 2026 with ceremonies in Argentina and the USA, Messi cried profusely when taking her daughter to the altar and never failing to leave her classic threat to Joe, and the family soon expanded, with Luisa giving birth to twins Jordan and Mason, who were identical copies of Joe, and so the Messi-Burrow family followed suit. life with lots of love and happiness.
