#wicked #gelphie #tbf the books are much gayer bc everyone there is bi by default. some interpret book elphaba as intersex. her son is bi and has both a male #lover and a female one. elphie kisses glinda before they part and it's not clear whether or not they had sex when they slept together #in the same bed.#but anyway at least this film added some side gay characters swooning over fiyero <3 #crope and tibbett my beloved side flamboyant gays that were removed from the musical. jail for musical! for that and for #the forced love triangle. book glinda never had a thing with fiyero--although tbf even in the musical that comes off as #somewhat performative on glinda's part bc she cares about her image and fiyero is the perfect guy for that

Since book 7 part 5 (the part where we meet Meleanor/Maleanor 👀) is coming to EN this month, i would love to see your take on lilia’s proposal to meleanor! i mean they were like little kids right? it couldn’t have been that serious…i think the only reason she even brought it up again is because she could tell lilia still genuinely loved her…(even if he didn’t realize it himself?) but, oh well! Let’s think about silly childhood shenanigans to numb the pain! ^_^ (orz)

When your father tried his best to provide for you but he worked all the time and even when he was home he was either tired or stressed and he’s always liked to get drunk to relax and cheer up. When you know he values work ethics and respectability so you grew up to be capable and quiet. And when he says you’re like him you’re sort of puzzled, does he really know you so little, or does he know himself so little? But you like the feeling of your father ruffling your hair so you accept it, and still you stand next to your mother just as silent and just as stoic as her during family gatherings. He leaves again and again and when your mother leaves him nothing changes, really. You wonder if it’s more telling that you know him better than he seems to himself or that you don’t know him as much as you wish you did, or that you don’t think about him all that much these days. Out of sight, out of mind. And he’s never really been there, even when he was there, after all.
