I can’t write cohesively so here’s Astrifer’s lore in bullet points

— they come from Saturn (bc I love Saturn)

— the Saturn alien race had a program of sending aliens to different planets to learn about the cultures and life there

— while in their space ship heading to earth, Astrifer got caught up in a supernova, partially destroying their ship and causing them to come hurtling towards earth

— during the supernova though, a pink and blue sparkly star fragment got lodged into their chest

— once them and their ship made contact with earth, it made a big sparkly crater full of the magic of the supernova

— they try to continue their mission but lose communication due to destroyed technology, so they wander around 

— when they inevitably come across their first mob, they get extremely stressed, causing them to feel the powers of the star fragment coursing through them (it feels warm and fizzy like soda)

— they got scared and were able to fire a magic star missile at the mobs, killing them, before running away

— they don’t know what happened, but they just keep running until they eventually find the settlement of one of the others
