"Bollocks!" John grumbled as the match he had attempted to light refused to cooperate.

"Oh for the love of- put the bloody cigarette down, John." Lucifer said with a small sigh. He was tired of having to rip the nasty little things out of the warlock's mouth.

John shot him a dangerous glare. "Shut up ya devil." He snapped, all the same he flicked the cigarette butt away without a seconds thought.

There was a moment of silence between them, when suddenly Lucifer's face lit up like a light bulb had gone off in his mind before he looked mischievously at the dark blond haired male sitting beside him on the far end of the couch.

"I wonder... could I- maybe..." he mumbled to himself as he studied Constantine closely.

John felt the Devil's eyes on him and a sense of uncomfortableness washed over his body as he looked over instinctively and saw the tall male staring at him in a strange way.

"What are you doing?" John asked, feeling very uncomfortable under the gaze of the immortal male beside him.

"I'm wondering whether I can ask you, your deepest desire." He responded with a shrug.

John scoffed, "I doubt that."

"Why? You are mortal after all." He said with a raise of his eyebrow, curiosity taking over.

"Well, mate that's-"

"And the only one who is immune to my power is Chloe, so why don't we give it a shot?" The devil rudely interrupted but with his usual enthusiastic tone.

"It's not going to bloody work." John shot back as he shifted in his trench coat and leaned back into the couch.

Lucifer got up off the couch and kneeled in front of the warlock, leaning towards him ever so slightly causing a strange feeling to overcome the short man sitting in front of him.

"Oh- come on Luci, you can't mojo me." The dark blond haired male said with a nervous chuckle as he tried to moved away from the now grinning devil.

"John Constantine... what do you truly desire?" Lucifer murmured deeply, ignoring his words.

John suddenly found himself locked in a trance like stare with the devil, his thoughts and over all awareness immediately disappearing. His soul focus was on the extremely handsome man before him and the need to tell him what he truly desired.

"I- I desire to get Astra back from Hell and to see my mother again." John freely confessed.

Lucifer immediately pulled away, his face slightly shocked with the response he had been given. John just shook his head as his senses came rushing back, a grave expression settling upon his face.

"That... was not what I expected Johnny." He replied, genuine sympathy coating his voice.

John just grunted as he stood up without a word, moving over to the bar and pouring himself another glass of whisky. He leaned against the bar top and downed it in one flick of his wrist.

"Well it worked. You, can, in fact mojo me."

Ad Astra?

Question: You gamble with a god, win, and get to create a constellation.  What do you name it, and what does it look like?

Okayy so I thought about this (I had to because if I won against a god a constellation wouldn't be the last thing I would ask for but it also wouldn't be on the list of things I actually thought about) and I think I'd like a non-firearm weapon. Mostly because there was this one image of a bow in a constellation that really struck with me and made me go ooh pretty and now my brain has latched on to the idea and I can't dislodge it.

As for which weapon; I considered and discarded a chakra (possibly too many religious connotations I'd rather avoid), an urumi (I love it and it's culturally specific but it's just weird), a morningstar (this is a very good name for a constellation and it looks nice I guess but don't feel any special connection to this thing), and a whip (okay much better but a coiled whip just sortof looks like a snake and I'm not sure how an unbound whip would... Hmm on second thoughts this is definitely my second choice) before settling on a naginata.

I love naginatas they look very pretty they are very long and the pointy bit is all the way to one side which I find very practical. Most importantly I associate the naginata with Keladry of Mindelan, who is a fictional character I'm very fond of and may possibly have a crush on idek.

So I am not sure if this is astronomically possible but hey I just beat a god in a game and they are the one who have to build this thing. So I want the blade point of the naginata to be like the north star so that the naginata is always pointing in the same direction and can help people navigate if they are lost and don't have Google maps.

Idk what to name it. I toyed with naginata (too obvious), the glaive (same), and variations on Keladry of Mindelan (I love tamora pierce and I want her work to be immortalized but again it's a bit obvious and it doesn't sound right. I'm tentatively settling on "the protector"- still a Kel reference but with multiple meanings but I honestly want to know what different people want to call it more than I want to name it myself.
