Hiiiii, here are some more that I got :
- Even though Caesar and Cleopatra never had a sugar daddy like deal, it is pretty much agreed by the majority that Caesar is indeed Cleopatra's sugar daddy( especially with Caesar being a whooping 31 years older than Cleopatra, yes that is true in history ), but she is so rich from her Princess later Monarch of Egypt status that she can sugar mommy him right back.
- Cleopatra VII is one of the ONLY people who isn't afraid of Caesar ( and that is saying something )
- So the Indomitable Gauls can just whup the Roman soldiers pretty easily with the magic potion. Well, Caesar's lieutenants ( over the years ) and Julius Caesar are harder to whup by the Indomitable Gauls EVEN WITH THE MAGIC POTION ( with Caesar being the hardest to defeat out of those Roman figures ). That is a reason why they don't really combat with Caesar in person much ( aside from the Gallic Wars event ). And the Indomitable Gauls would NEVER even challenge Cleopatra do a combat duel cuz that would just have any of them a fast track to the lions by Caesar himself.
- So before Julius Caesar came into her life, Cleopatra VII got an international range of suitors since she turned 16 - generals, rich merchants, noblemen, Princes, Kings, you name it. Caesar has seen her pictures even before he met her in person and thought she was beautiful, but decided to ' not be involved in the pre Trojan War like contest ' cuz he was so busy dealing with the aftermath of the Gallic Wars at that rate. And then, when Cleopatra was 20 and Caesar was 51, she just rolled out of the carpet in front of him to make a grand entrance for her to propose an alliance between Rome and Egypt ( one reason is to overthrow Cleopatra's potheaded younger brother Ptolemy XIII ), and he was smitten at first sight, and then word spread around in Rome that Caesar set his eyes on the beautiful and charismatic Egyptian Queen and ALL of the men in Rome just made way for Caesar to pursue Cleopatra.....and the rest is history.
- After Asterix and Son, Caesar has a degree of respect for the Indomitable Gauls for saving his son Caesarion's life ( even though they are figuring out the identity of that baby up till Cleopatra showed up near the end of Asterix and Son ). Cleopatra is just overwhelmed and overjoyed that she got her and Caesar's baby boy back.
- Anyone with any sense know that if they disrespect Cleopatra and Caesarion any way, they would be DOUBLE/TRIPLE TOAST
- Varius Flavius ( Asterix in Switzerland ), Tremensdilirious ( Asterix and Caesar's Gift ), and Centurion Voluptous ( Asterix snd the Soothsayer ) are ALL amongst the former suitors of Cleopatra ( she basically refused them cuz they are ' stupid bone headed slobs ', ' ungrateful louts ' etc ), and in the issues they appeared, they all tried to ' steal ' Cleopatra as part of their plans against Caesar. Result : ALL 3 of them ended up getting thrown to the lions.
- The context behind the ' Golden Mouth ' nickname Caesar has for Cleopatra ( because, according to him, she has exceptional fellatio skills ) spread even faster than wildfire in Rome and Hellenistic Period Regions ( regions once under the Macedonian Empire ) all thanks to Caesar answering a General picked by his friends to ask him about that with, ' Cleopatra's lips have blessed Caesar....in more ways than one '. Lol ALL THE GROWN UPS IN THOSE REGIONS WHO HEARD THAT GUFFAWED LOUDLY. The Indomitable Gauls actually didn't really get the Golden Mouth joke until in the 48 BC Olympics ( Asterix and the Olympics ), where the Gaulish team overheard that joke from some drunk Roman athletes ( and ofc they all HOWLED WITH LAUGHTER AT THAT )
- Cleopatra VII is fluent in 12 languages ( Egyptian, Greek, Latin, Hebrew, Hindi, Persian, Arabic, Aramaic, Syriac, Ethiopian, Troglodytic, and Median ). So whenever there are diplomats/politicians/military leaders of any of those regions speaking those 12 languages conversing with her, she can fluently communicate with them without in need of a translator ( and Caesar and the rest of their cohorts over the years just watch in dazzlement )
- Cleopatra gave birth to Caesarion aka Ptolemy XV Caesar via surgical birth on 23rd July 47 BC ( yes surgical birth was invented in Ancient Egypt centuries BEFORE Cleopatra was born ). And when Caesar first held the newborn Caesarion, he was so overjoyed and overwhelmed that he nearly shed some tears of estcacy and overwhelm in front of those who are waiting with him for the birth of his and Cleopatra's son.
I absolutely love your Asterix fanarts, your designs are so creative :D (and fantastic as well, I'm still swooning over your Caesar and his piercing eyes ❤)
I'm curious, do you have any headcanons you want to share ? Thank you for the great art !
Thanks a lot! I've read this series since I was like, ten, and it was very fun to rediscover it with the fandom mindset. (and yeah sadly i simp for stupid Julius so i had to do him justice)
About headcanons, hmm, most of them are very spefic for some fic I plan with a buddy of mine and would be a little complicated to explain here. But I do have some I can:
- The potion works a little different for every gaul. For example: Asterix gets very faster since he's so small, but beacuse of that he's not very resistent and can be trown away easily. - and on that note: you know that one scene in the mansion of gods movie where everyone shines in a different color when they drink the potion? I think it would be cool if everyone had some cool glowing markings, war-paint style, too, that vary among them (asterix's would be lighting-shaped and fulliautmatix's woul be fire-shaped, for example) which i started drawing but haven't finished yet but I'll post it here someday. probably - Asterix and Obelix are the only one who have permanent markings. Obelix because "fell into the cauldron" reasons and Asterix because he drinks too much of the potion. But they only shine when they fight. - If you drink two consecutive doses of the potion, that leaves you twice as strong, but you'll get a terrible fever or worse after. So Getafix recommend strongly that this should be avoided at all costs.
and now i'll just trow some headcanons for my ship under the cut and leave-
- Asterix and Cacofonix started dating after Asterix the Gladiator because I'm an etternal sucker for rescue stories in romance - Asterix is ace - And they kind of adopted Pectine because she may be a movie only character but I love that girl. Also, since Getafix acts like her grandpa and i see asterix as his pretty much son, this is only a logical step. Also also, it is stated in the golden sickle that Cacofonix is one of the teachers in the village so he would know her well as a student. Anyways. This hc just make me very happy

Merci beaucoup professeur, vous me manquez déjà. Reposez en paix.
I learned to read when I was three years old. My uncle took care of me while my parents worked and thanks to him (and my mother, but that's another story) I learned to read. My uncle had the complete collection of Asterix comics, and I also consider that Mr. Goscinny and Mr. Uderzo were my teachers. My childhood and youth would not have been the same without them. Today Mr. Uderzo left us to meet with Mr. Goscinny again. Thank you very much teacher, I miss you already. Rest in peace

What would Astérix do about Covid-19? (Learn a language to find out!)
What would Astérix do about Covid-19? (Learn a language to find out!)
Que ferait-il #Astérix le Galois dans ce periode de cris ? What would Asterix the Gaul do during this time of crisis? Undoubtedly, he would call upon the esteemed local Druid, Panoramix, to teach the villagers what to do. And certainly, Panoramix would say: “Il faut absolument pas fumer, parce que ça agrave beaucoup les maladies respiratoires !” “Absolutely #stopsmoking, because smoke makes…

I wanted to come here and say I'm the exception to this because someone needs to have a healthy family, right? and I don't /feel/ like my hobbies were rejected by my parents. But then I thought of my hobbies and. I like building things because my father is this self-taught engineer like Gyro Gearloose, I took up programming and math because my mom taught me how, my mom took me in the writing group she was a part of (no matter how far from my writing tastes that stuff was), I learned sailing because my dad had a sailboat, and I learned gardening in my mother's garden. So idk. I'm actually really embarassed abt how bad I am at most of those things, and when I'm good at them I'm even more embarassed because it makes it super obvious how useless the stuff I can do is.
Ok I have this: sure my dad looved Asterix le Galois, but mom is not super into comics and she was still supportive. She let me and my siblings buy a lot of comics, and kept our comic collections organized in our old rooms for years after we left the house. I was never ashamed of my intense love of comics. I'm 30 this years, and mom gave me a comic book for Christmas. Sure, it wasn't the kind of story I like, but I could see she was trying. Sure, as far as hobbies go, reading every comic you can put your hands on is kind of a silly one. But anyway, parents CAN be good at this stuff, and being unsupportive is NOT ok.
I just realised that our parents LITERALLY NEVER showed the slightest bit of interest in any of our hobbies or interests except when we picked up their hobbies or it was for school. Everything else was always, automatically annoying, bothersome and a waste of time and silly.
10 years later we still feel convinced that what we like will only ever be annoying and bothersome to others.

French Fridays, COVID, Astérix, and Adulting education for Health Care
The common good, or the general welfare, includes being responsible for how your actions and health affect that of those you may come in contact with, even at a distance. That is part of Adulting Education, which must become more fully inclusive for all of us. Even the French! 🙂 – Que ferait-il #Astérix le Galois dans ce periode de cris ? What would Asterix the Gaul do during this time of…
