Hello! So I don’t know if you already done this but can you tell us more about Ata’s childhood?

You're right, I need to compile all of the tiny bits of lore I can together.

Atalanta's Childhood

Atalanta was born sometime in early January the late 90's.

She was a normal Montclair baby, the spitting image of her mother and her father's eyes.

She initially imprinted on her Father the most as he (apart from her nanny) spent the most time with her, but she loved her Mother too.

She was an extremely stroppy toddler, prone to large screaming tantrums because she absolutely HAD to get her own way all the time. She also dragged her stuffed elephant around everywhere.

As you know, she started to notice and ask about her parent's relationship when she was about 4, leading Jamie to try and abscond with her unsuccessfully.

After that, Jamie was basically grounded for several months except for dinnertime which was the only time he would see Ata, but she didn't notice anything was off because she was a young child and also starting school (and she knew her father was always a bit delicate).

Atalanta attended a private girl's day school in the city every day, and she went to her parent's townhouse after school where she would be looked after by her nannies or Jamie. She would go to after-school activities, do her homework, have dinner with her parents, and go to bed.

Yes, she did wear a cute little kid's school uniform with a skirt and tie and everything and her hair was fairly long at this time. She actually dressed pretty girly when she had to go to formal events as a child.

Jamie would tie up her hair in a ponytail with a matching ribbon every morning.

Sometimes on school holidays she would go out with Jamie or the nannies, or even go to the Montclair building with her mother and see what she would grow up to inherit (obviously she was in awe of her mother and idolized her as she always did).

At age 11, Atalanta graduated from day school, cut her relatively long hair, ditched the skirts, and went to the same girl's boarding school her mother attended a few hours away from the city.

She excelled as always, making perfect grades, working with the debate team, and starting her own martial arts club. She visited her parents some weekends and most school holidays and they always came to Parent's Weekend and to see her martial arts tournaments.

She was acquaintances with some other girls and even kissed some but never became super close to them (even though many tried because she was the Montclair heir).

She never really came out directly to her parents but it was clear she was gay.

Not much teenage dirtbag behavior from her, she was always too mature and they didn't really see her for weeks at a time. They did call often though.

At age 18, she graduated from upper school and left for college at an extremely prestigious private university where she studied business.

After college, she came back to the city to work at Montclair Industries and do her heir lessons.

I would say this probably checks out, though (un)surprisingly, I have some thoughts.

Obviously, Stan is the only kid we see drinking heavily, so if he continues this habit he would probably have a pretty high tolerance.

Cartman would start off with a higher tolerance simply because he's a bigger guy, though I think he would also probably become a decently heavy drinker in his own right.

Kenny either has a super high tolerance or none at all, depending on where in his life/death cycle he is (if we go by the canon explanation for his resurrections, and treat each 'Kenny' as a new physical entity. Same soul, new shell. This is what I follow.)

So off the rip Kyle would have the lowest tolerance. However, I think he and Stan would end up sort of leveling out, and eventually they could go drink for drink.

You know who would always be a lightweight though?

having bpd is one of the most exhausting things ever for so many reasons but mostly the idealization and the constant need for reassurance even from friends and new people. my emotional permanence goes fucking through the roof once i think someone may be avoiding me or trying to ghost me and it either causes me to push that person away by being way more sociable than usual or abandon them before they can do it for me. i am so thankful that i have friends who don't let me push them away and reel me back down to earth when it's needed but most times i am in my own head and i can't ever escape and it fucking sucks.

Hector's Parents:

Anise (Lu Yu Xiao)- studying in the Capitol to become a doctor when she first met Ludius. She was a few years older than him. He fell first. AND hard. Became the muse for many of his artworks and he affectionately referred to her as his star.

Born in the Districts, she returned there upon finishing her studies. Ludius followed, and it seemed as if the rest was history for them.

Hector was said to have inherited her eyes.

Ludius Marcellus Dovecote (Hu Bing) - a solemn child, later adult whose smiles were rare, but treasured by those who saw them.

Traveled the Districts with his wife and later, with their son. He would paint the places they visited while Anise treated the people there. He possessed a short temper and was also a frighteningly good shot. Rumoured to have killed a few men for Anise.

Only returned to the Capitol after his wife's passing. A bit of a recluse in the eyes of high society. Not that he cared what they thought.

His peers both envied and admired how well he aged over the decades. Or rather, how he didn't seem to age.

Lived to see his son married and meet his grandson, Endymion. However, tragedy would strike and he'd lose Hector to an illness in 11.

Died on his wedding anniversary about a year after his son's death. Per his request, his daughter-in-law had his ashes scattered by the ocean so that he might reunite with Anise, who'd been buried along the coast of 11.

Max's mother:

Asteria Ravinstill (Left: Naomi Janumala, Middle + Right: Rekha) - born to a cadet branch of House Ravinstill, she was adopted at the age of 5 by the main line when the heir unexpectedly passed.

Despite her best attempts, Ludius will never let her forget her time as a crybaby when she was a child. In fact, he used to gift her asters every year until he ran off to the Districts. The flowers would stop for nearly a decade and only reappear in her life after they had shakily repaired their friendship.

Lived to meet all her grandchildren and see her eldest become President of Panem.

the trent and colin and isaac dynamic in the football kiddos au is. So Important To Me. obviously trent and colin have got their whole Only I Get To Be Mean To Me Da thing going on, and then isaac. oh isaac.

so. colin was adopted, right? and he and isaac met in kindergarten (u.k. equivalent. i will research this but i am. too tired rn sorry) and isaac was colin's first friend in the whole world and they imprinted on each other like baby ducks. and in this fic, isaac's mum isn't around a whole lot. she's a single parent and she works tirelessly to support him so isaac's around at trent and colin's all the time. to the point where he's got his own overnight bag, essentially his own bed, etc.

and isaac and trent are. trent wasn't expecting to adopt two kiddos when he adopted colin, but then isaac came along and he never left. and he and trent both LOVE cooking so they cook together, and trent tells isaac all the Shakespeare Lore he knows (english/lit majors moment) and isaac tells trent all about the shenanigans colin's gotten up to at school, and then colin bursts in and demands that they stop gossiping Or Else.

(on father's day, isaac makes trent pancakes. they're a bit burnt. but still good. they're still good.)

Angst? In my comedy series? Yeah, I have no self control.

It wasn’t like Jamie didn’t know they thought he was immature. It wasn’t like Jamie didn’t know he was immature. He’d had a big discussion with Dr Sharon about it back when he’d first started seeing her. It involved a lot of links to studies and articles Jamie only kind of actually read, about how trauma can stunt emotional growth. They talked a lot about how Jamie raised himself and done kind of a shit job of it because he didn’t know how to raise anyone let alone himself at the ripe old age of five and half, so now he had to do a bunch of catching up. Dr Sharon talked a lot about how it was natural, and how well Jamie was doing all things considered, but it still made him feel fucking defective sometimes. Now all the lads were shoving it in his face, that he wasn’t up to par with them. And he could tell they thought it was silly, that Jamie was left playing catch up while they’d all made it to the finish line. No one had to put them to bed or sing them to sleep, because they’d all had someone who taught how to do it themselves back when they were wee little things but Jamie was learning all of it for the first time now.

Okay so I was actually wondering about this but what would happened if ata or Noelle’s darling was a target to get assassinated because of being close to ata or atas assistant? What if darling actually got hurt? Hell if ata darling was pregnant and this actually happened to her while out? How would she deal with it?

Atalanta would actually put the city into a state of emergency if her Darling was threatened, and if she was kidnapped? The whole Montclair family would be mobilized. Jamie and Asteria are coming to the Penthouse and all three of them will be working with both the police and Atalanta's special forces to find Darling. Even Jamie will help, he loves his Daughter-In-Law too. Eventually, they will recover you, and if you are hurt, Ata will dismantle the entire authority that hurt you brick by brick, aided by her parents. And pregnant? Messing with her wife and heir? You may want to off yourself in your cell because if Ata gets ahold of you, you may spend the next few years being brutally tortured. You will be taken to the Montclairs country estate to recover with the entire family hovering over you for a number of months.

If Noelle checks the cameras to find you gone, she is immediately going to the person with the highest chance of helping: Ata. Ata will gladly help, lending Noelle use of her special forces to find you. Noelle, using some less than legal methods, will hack into the city's security cameras and track you down using the trackers she has sewn into your clothes and shoes. From that, she will have the security forces swiftly and secretly extract you. She can't have any of this going public, you know. Ata will frame the group for some sort of horrible crime and there will be a brutal and drawn-out trial where it is made abundantly clear to the entire city that these guys are criminals and will be put away for a long time. You are safely taken either to a private hospital or back to Noelle's apartment to recuperate safely, and you don't have to testify, that would be much too much stress on you. Noelle will ensure their prison sentence is long and terrible, giving them enough torment to rot their brains in their skulls. She would also probably bribe other prisoners to torture them too. Your security team will be doubled and you're not leaving the apartment for at least 9 months now.

It's funny you say that because I Never Should Have Gone Ziplining actually is my favorite episode of that season, and if I were to go and make some sort of "favorite episodes list" (which would be so hard to do) it would at least be in the top five. It takes so many things I enjoy (mockumentaries, blowing little things hilariously out of proportion, the jackin it in san diego song) and mixes them together.

The other day my coworker was telling me a story about something and he said "to make a long story short" at least four times and all I had to fight not to smile because it reminded me of Kyle.

Season 16 in general is such a good run of episodes. Sarcastaball, Raising The Bar (Cartman's mobility scooter just kills me), A Scause For Applause, Obama Wins, there's so much gold to pick from there. There's something hilarious in every episode. I just watched Cartman Finds Love again the other day and the part where he sings to Kyle in the stadium had me cackling.

I like that you posted a whole bunch of seasons, for such a long running show South Park has tons of really great episodes. Even season 1 still makes me laugh. On the dvds each season 1 episode starts with Matt and Trey having a fireside chat that was, to quote them, a real hoot and a holler to watch.

The most nostalgic season for me is season 8. My first episode ever was Butt Out (the part where the boys immediately start smoking to not be like those anti-smoking teens is what made me a fan of the show to begin with) and after that I would watch episodes as they came out On Demand.

OKAY THANK YOU!!! It’s such an objectively good episode and people who don’t enjoy it honestly baffle me… but I am also a big fan of mockumentaries. I won’t lie though, it does make me kinda wanna go ziplining just to say that I did. (Also that anecdote made me actually laugh out loud I would have lost it ꉂ (≧ヮ≦) )

Season 16 seriously is so insanely packed with excellent episodes. Man, I really need to do a rewatch soon!

I really wish I could be more decisive but I just love so many seasons too much to only pick one! And they’re all so good for different reasons, you know? Like some are just objectively hilarious, some I love more for their tight storytelling. I dunno man, say what you will about Those Bastards, but they know what they’re doing, and I think they’re only getting better with age.

You know, sometimes I wish I had watched the show growing up, though I’m sure my parents would have put a stop to it the first time an episode gave me a nightmare (I was a sensitive child lmao). Still, I remember a lot of the boys in my class really loving the show, so I got little snippets through cultural osmosis.

The stars that burned the brightest were the closest your race ever got to being human. You had learned this... personally.

You stare silently, wide-eyed at the creature in the bat mask as he (?) curiously peers at you from the other side of the bars. It was painful to admit that you had slipped, and had been captured by the fae faction of a war that was being fought on this World. This war flew in the face of the history that had been woven into this land, and you had been sent down to curtail it, to bring the humans and faes back to peace... And yet, no matter how brightly you'd burn through your star-powered abilities, both the humans and faes were resilient and pig-headed. They were adamant in changing the course of history.

And somehow, in the midst of attempting to recover from the amount of energy you expended, this one had sneaked up on you.

Was it to hope to foster unity in his heart? Perhaps.

Was it to hope to learn more about him? Most likely.

And when you finally did break out (your powers finally returning enough to break these fae enchantments), you had gotten one more glimpse of him as you disappeared into the stars. He stood silently, his mask slowly peeling off his face, a look of longing flickering in his raspberry eyes.

Something told you you'd see him again. You can feel the starlight pulse within you as you made your way to where all the Guardians of the Worlds dwell, the toll of your excursion taking hold.

This this this *shakes phones* I can see this happen so clearly because she would do this. She would use up her powers to her detriments (maybe even death) to save others and and she can see the look in eye and his voice and IM-

ok so the THING IS.......... the Thing Is. i could talk about trent and colin forever. they are just. they are soooooooo!

it's the way trent was the first one to realize that colin is gay. it's the way he, a reporter of Many Years and known gossip fiend, kept that secret for colin without even Telling Colin That He Knew. and he could have! he very easily could have approached colin at any point during the season and been like, yo. i know what you are dot png. but he didn't! he chose to give colin the space to keep that secret, UNTIL he felt that colin was actively putting himself in "danger"/isolating himself to a concerning extent from the rest of the team. (i also think his Rainbow Mug TM was absolutely his subtle way of signaling to colin that he is a safe person, but colin is one of the himbos so we know how well that went). and then. and then!!! amsterdam!!!!! this was trent putting his foot down and being like. okay. you don't want people to know, that's fine. but i know, and you are not alone. You Are Not Alone. WAUUUUUUUUUGH.

ok this is getting Incredibly Long so i've put my football kiddos au-specific thoughts beneath the cut.

so........yeah. yeah!! for the football kiddos au, i ABSOLUTELY had to have trent and colin be a fabulous da and son duo. in my mind, colin was adopted when he was around 5, so the two of them have been in each others' lives for almost half of colin's life. and to me, trent is, like. Thee Ultimate Cool Dad. he's dorky as HELL but has just enough journalistic swagger that kids overlook his obscure literature references in favor of his Hella Fantastic Hair, etc. except colin. colin sees STRAIGHT through his da and he is Not Impressed. he has made it his life's mission to ensure that trent understands precisely how Uncool He Is. but if anyone else dares to tell colin that trent is weird, colin WILL bite their face off. there's a fierce protectiveness on both sides, and colin vets absolutely every single person who makes an attempt to date trent, and trent is fairly chill to let colin roam around and mess up and have fun and generally just Be A Kid. i also have a Lot of feelings abt how growing up with trent will lead to colin being a much more secure person, not only in regards to being gay but also just in generally aspect of his life, because colin is a Very Insecure Person! he doesn't have a lot of belief in himself, and he's not the best footballer, and.......and etc., etc. trent being colin's da will let colin grow up far more confident in Every Way, and i think colin being trent's son allows trent to in turn accept and discover his own sexuality much earlier, simply because. hey. i have this kiddo, and i want them to understand that it is okay to be who you are in this world. wait a minute. i should take my own advice. hmm.

and then there's the random mustachioed american next door and embarrassing flirting rituals and colin is banging his head into the wall because da. Da. Stop Being So Shameful. and then there's the dude with angry caterpillar eyebrows and his tiny five year old brother and trent is shoving colin down the hall because son. Son. There Is a Friend. Go. and they all meet and become a family and all is right in the world!!!!!!
