Daily Activities NDIS - What Does CB Daily Activity Funding Cover?
Daily Activities NDIS is a vital part of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), allowing participants to receive personalised support in a range of areas, such as hygiene and medication management. The scheme’s overarching goal is to promote independence by enhancing capabilities, fostering participation and increasing overall quality of life.
Each person’s needs and goals are unique, meaning daily activities support will vary from one participant to the next. As such, it’s important for both participants and providers to understand how NDIS daily activities funding works. Our team of NDIS-registered Allied Health Professionals is here to help with this, explaining the fundamentals of daily activities support and how it can be best delivered.
What does CB Daily Activity funding cover?
The Capacity Building support category, also known as the Improved Daily Living support category within the myplace portal, is an integral part of the NDIS. This funding allows participants to undertake assessments, therapy and training that will develop their independence and quality of life. Typical examples of this include physiotherapy to develop skills for mobility, cooking workshops to enhance meal preparation skills and money management training to assist with budgeting and financial literacy.
These supports are grouped together because they work in tandem, recognizing that independence is not only about daily personal care tasks but also engaging and participating in the community. They are therefore viewed as core to a person’s well-being and are supported by both the Core and Social & Community Participation support categories.
As a result, it’s important to be prepared for your NDIS planning meeting with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC) or NDIS Planner, so you can discuss how these daily activities support services will benefit you. This means gathering any relevant information, including disability reports or recommendations from doctors, that you can use to make the case for why this support is reasonable and necessary in your situation.
It’s also important to remember that you cannot combine the amounts you receive across the 3 support budgets (CORE/CAPITAL/CAPACITY) – they must all be allocated to different support categories to achieve your goals. For example, you cannot receive physiotherapy and community engagement services at the same time.
As with all aspects of the NDIS, it’s essential for both participants and their Support Network to collaborate throughout the planning process. This will ensure that everyone has a clear understanding of the goals and priorities that will guide each support service and how it will be delivered. It will also provide a shared understanding of what is and isn’t possible to achieve through each individual support.
At Independent Life Style Services, our key priority is to deliver top-of-the-line disability services that focus on home care for disabled people, young and old. Our operations and perspectives are guided by a mission, a vision, beliefs and core values that focus on supporting people with disabilities enjoy a fulfilling life.

rely on someone to meet basic needs and perform basic self-care tasks is okay and morally neutral, but can we talk about how hard it is? how vulnerable it makes you, how dependent it makes you, how tiring it is, how anxiety-producing it is, how it affects your dignity and self-esteem?
how much guilt it brings to constantly ask people to do something for you, especially something basic and presumably "simple." how little privacy you have left when you need someone to assist you with bathing, feeding (putting food from plate to mouth), dressing, moving, brushing your hair and teeth, and other tasks socially considered private and/or very basic.
even if your caretaker(s) are always nice and respectful and patient and do everything like you wish, it may still feel humiliating. and lots of caretakers are not like this, not even close.
and it's hard for you, and it's hard for caretakers, yes, even paid ones, but often our caretakers are not professional and paid workers. often, it's our loved ones. and it creates unique dynamics that are too taboo to discuss because society sees disabled lives, dependent lives as gross, and toxic positivity requires never to show complicated parts of our experiences even in disability rights activism.
depending on someone for surviving and/or daily living is normal, but it's a complicated experience with plenty of nuances, difficulties, problems, and heavy emotions.

Asset for being a Virtual Assistant
Virtual assistants are the backbone of many businesses. They provide administrative and clerical support to companies, allowing their clients to focus on their core business activities. While many people think that being a virtual assistant is just answering emails and making phone calls, there's much more to it than that! A great virtual assistant will have excellent time management skills, multitask while simultaneously keeping track of several projects, and pay good attention to detail when organizing information or documents.
Virtual Assistant Skills
You need a few skills to be a virtual assistant, but they can be learned. The most important thing is the ability to type quickly and accurately. You will also need excellent communication skills to communicate clearly with your clients and colleagues.
As far as customer service representatives go, there are several different types of positions available in this field: answering phones, processing orders or taking messages for customers who call in; helping customers find products through catalogs or websites; resolving complaints from customers (whether through refunds or exchanges); providing information about company policies or other issues related to using its services; researching solutions for problems outside regular working hours when necessary.
Being a virtual assistant is an excellent asset for those looking to make money from home.
Many benefits come with being a VA, including:
Flexible schedule - VAs can set their hours and work around their lives, so you can choose when they want to work and how much time they want to put into it each day. You may even be able to work while traveling!
Work from anywhere - Because most of our clients are located in different places worldwide, we need an office or other physical location where everyone works together daily. Instead, we communicate via email and phone, so we can all be in one place at a time (which would be expensive!). This makes it easy for people who don't have access yet and have wanted it since childhood.
Time Management Skills
Time management skills are essential for a virtual assistant, and it's your job to know how much time you have each day and prioritize tasks accordingly. It would help if you learned how to say no and when it's okay to say yes.
For example: If an opportunity will take up half of your day and doesn't bring in any money, it may not be worth taking on right now (or ever). You should focus on completing the most important tasks first so they don't get pushed back due to lack of time later on!
Organization Skills
Organizational skills are essential for any business professional. You'll need to be able to multitask, prioritize your tasks, and manage your time effectively. If you have this skill set, it will help ensure that you meet deadlines and complete projects promptly.
Customer Service Skills
You will need excellent customer service skills to succeed as a virtual assistant. You must understand your client's needs and respond to their requests promptly. You'll also need to handle questions and requests positively, solve problems and provide solutions.
Attention to Detail
Attention to detail is an essential asset for being a virtual assistant. You must listen closely and pay attention to your client's words because they may only sometimes express themselves clearly. You also have to understand the details of their project or task, which may involve researching information online or referencing documents they send you.
Finally, attention to detail can help you notice when something has gone wrong with their project--for example, if they didn't receive an email when it was sent out (or vice versa).
Virtual assistants are excellent for those looking to make money from home. If you have the right skills and can manage your time well, this could be a great opportunity! Global Conversion Agency has a lot to offer.

NDIS Assistance With Daily Living
NDIS Assistance With Daily Living is a funding sub-category that covers a range of supports and services that enable participants to live independently, stay at home, and participate in their local community. As with all NDIS support services, the type of daily help that is funded will vary from person to person. As long as the aid is considered ‘reasonable and necessary’, it will be included in your NDIS plan.
Supports under this category can include everything from cleaning and cooking skills, to gardening and home maintenance. They can even cover transport and travel training to make it easier for you to get out and about. This is why it’s important to consider your day-to-day needs before meeting with your NDIS planner.
This is a great way to ensure your NDIS planning session is focused on what is most important to you and how it will help you achieve your goals. Your NDIS planner will work with you to come up with an agreed plan that reflects your needs. It’s also a good idea to collect any documents or letters you may have that prove your need for daily assistance. This can be a great way to support your case and convince your NDIS planner that the daily help you require is in fact'reasonable and necessary'.
One of the most common reasons a participant will need daily assistance is to help them maintain their housing, whether it is in private rental or social housing. This can include things like gardening, cleaning and general house maintenance to keep the living environment safe and comfortable.
While some people with disabilities can rely on friends and family members to provide daily living assistance, it isn’t always possible or feasible for everyone. The NDIS provides an alternative option through this category of support, allowing participants to access assistance from a qualified provider who is registered with the NDIS and has been deemed suitable by an NDIA approved quality auditor.
These providers can be either self-managed or agency managed. The most favourable option is to have your funds managed by a plan manager, which MyCareSpace can recommend. Your plan manager will be able to support you in engaging with your chosen providers, and will handle all payments and record-keeping for you.
Alternatively, you can use this part of your budget to pay for training that will equip you with the skills to provide your own daily living assistance. This is especially useful if you have a support worker that can’t work with you for a variety of reasons such as health issues, shifts or holidays. For more information about NDIS Assistance With Daily Living, download our free NDIS guides, or book a free one-on-one NDIS discussion with Yooralla Connect.

Canadians are much less inclined to say they’d move into a nursing home after witnessing so many deaths. Public opinion has probably shifted here too.
