So, there’s no definite way of telling because most people have multiple planet dominance. BUT you can start by looking at the ruler of the sign & nakshatra that is in your sun, moon, and ascendant. Exalted planets matter ALOT as well. We have to take the whole chart in consideration.

Check for stelliums in a sign (three or more placements in the same sign), Planets in the 1h or planets aspecting the 1h/ascendant. Especially strong aspects such as conjunctions & oppositions. And the ruler of the sign/nakshatra that is your ascendant

You can also get an idea by what planet has the most aspects to other planets. In Vedic, the moon is most important, not the Sun. The sign/nakshatra of the moon matters. Also what planets aspect the moon.

For example, let’s look at Halle Berry’s chart.

I can tell right away moon is a dominant planet, because she has a stellium in 4th house of Cancer. Both the 4th house and Cancer are ruled by the moon. But’s in the nakshatra of Pushya which is ruled by Saturn. So, she’s ruled by Saturn as well. Moon is also conjuncting a lot of personal placements. But, you can say she has Rahu influence as well. Rahu sits in the first house, directly on the ascendant. Remember, there’s two rulers. Not only do signs have a ruler Nakshatras do too. Ex. Ardra. Rahu rules nakshatra but it sits in the sign Gemini. Which is ruled by mercury.

Astro seek has a good calculator you can use that will give you a general idea. Just make sure to change it to sidereal, if that what you are planning to use. You can use the same method for western/tropical astrology as well, check for stelliums, ascendant sign, aspects, etc.

So with planets in the first house we notice their aura has a peculiar shine to it that just makes the more noticeable to others.

however with the planets aspecting the first house their aura shows on other occasions and sometimes the person with this placement isn't exactly aware of it until their in a certain place, around others, or genuinely enjoying themselves.

like for example someone having uranus in the 11th house sextile their rising their striking personality wouldn't show itself until their in community, groups, or with friends. the people their around will notice it and most times will point it out.

same with the seven house that deals with others. a neptune/pluto dom oppose rising individual aura won't be noticed until they are around others. and it is then when others will say something about it, causing projections but usually they have to learn to be aware of their energy when their around others because how they see themselves is opposite to how others see them. so having a placement opposing the rising could be difficult simply because while youre not absolutely the wear of the power you hold around others, they see it a mile away.

so what I want to say it to really get a hold of the magic of ascendant aspects when they're not a conjunction, is to learn the house placement and learn how to apply that into your day to day.

if you have a ascendant aspect with a planet in the 3rd house, then writing, communication, school or being outside with the community will strengthen the aura and others will see it more.

if its in the fifth, it kinda moves like the sun a little.. the more you express your innocence & inner child the more your aura brightens and we can see you a mile away.

If its in the 8th aspecting the rising the more you allow others in to see your darkness the more powerful and attractive your aura becomes.

if its in the 9th aspecting your rising then your beliefs, being out in the community and sharing your wisdom can attract certain energy to your aura and this attracts people to you.
